Speaker 1 (00:01):
I feel like I'm too high.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Whoa what were you doing this morning?

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Ah, I'm drinking coffee?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Oh kind of coffee, Joe wink wink.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Cult.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Yeah, a cult.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
I wish what.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Said? No one ever said?

Speaker 1 (00:21):
No one ever except people in a cult.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I mean, I guess some of them do. I wonder
if anyone actually ever wishes to be in a cult though, Like, Oh,
I really wish I could find a cult that I
could get into.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
It's a weird thought.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
It's one of them high thoughts. Jill.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
We'll ask Mike to think about it next time he
gets high.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
So now I always probably, I don't know. It's not
work Sunday, right with Sunday?

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Yeah, I don't know what he does on the weekends.
Hangs out with his family.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Or else, heuros. He says, that's disgusting.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Right, who hangs out with their family on Sunday? Don't yet?

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Yeah I do, got him?

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Yeah, you got me. I hang out with my family
on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Technically I hang out with my family every day because
I live with some of my family.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, we don't hang out with him though all that. Well,
maybe every day you do?

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Well, no, no, no, yeah, not every day I would
consider hanging out, like we watch shows.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Or do something. It's not just like you know, I'm
watching something. He's literally leaving for work. That's not it. Yeah. Yeah, yeah,
so you're right.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
We only hang out all maybe the weekends when we're
watching things like murder Bot.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Which I've not watched. So they'll say it, don't spoil nothing.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
I will just say, first off, I thought three episodes
got released, and only two got released. I don't know
where I stopped the first three episodes got released in
my dreams exactly. It's fantastic, that's it. It's fun, it's
a little it's a little weird, just because it's one

(02:23):
of it for me at least, it's one of those
things where I'm so used to the audio book, so
you're you're used to the voice of the character that
in your head due to listening to the audio books,
and then you hear scars guards voiceover and it's just like, ah,
that doesn't sound right.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yeah, that's just.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Because I'm used to the audio book and that's it.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Yeah, That's what I felt when I was watched the trailer. See,
I was like, I like him, but it's like it's
different though, it's different.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Yeah, but it's fantastic. It's absolutely fantastic. I didn't realize
they are only half hour long episodes, which I praised
up until we finished the second episode and I was like,
I want to continue watching more.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I would like more of this, Please like more of this.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
But I will continue to praise because I have said
not on here. I don't think I was talking to
somebody else where. It's just like, I feel like a
lot of shows these days are just naming for the
hour long mark, and it's hard to get through some
of the sum shows because.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
They're an hour long.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Yeah, and so.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
This is half hour long and it runs really fast,
just because it's funny and fun and.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yeah, I'll leave it at that because you need to
catch up.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
I'll probably watch them tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
You should. What is the now that I know? I
know I'm asking this right now.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
It's released because it got released on technically Friday, so
it's the release schedule Friday.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
It is, so technically it should have so I think
Apple is doing actual hard times, which is.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Weird because I was able to watch the first episode
on Thursday.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Yeah, I don't know if we'll watching them see.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Its debut on Friday, Murder Bot Where to Go, Where
to Go, and then it disappears.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
So May sixteenth technically was the release date, so Friday,
so they must not have a hard time than like
Disney does with theirs. So they must just hit like
midnight at East Coast and technically nine o'clock here. You
should be able to watch it, I guess.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Which is weird and cool at the same time. That's true. Yeah, whatever,
that's true.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
So Fridays, which means I'll just be watching it on
like Saturday, Sunday.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Yeah, whatever it may be.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Episodes, h I will say one more thing about it.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Scarsguard plays a very because obviously Murder brought to the
books has like anxiety around a lot of stuff. Yeah,
and he plays that real well in the first two episodes,
so I imagine it's going to be as it goes
for it.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
So first episode is called free Commerce. Obviously that's an
interesting not interesting, really pretty on one. And then eye
Contact is the second episode, and then third is Risk Assessment.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
That's funny.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Second, it doesn't involve a lot of eye contact.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
David Dimlchin, who's obviously in the show as uh, is
that how.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
You pronounce his last name? Yeah, I was always pronounced
that nine.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
He's in it. She plays one of the scientists. He
plays Grothen. Yeah, he actually posted a behind the scenes
photos on his Instagram and Martha Wells and her husband
were there. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
She was heavily involved in the production, which is one
of the reasons why I think this will do really,
really well. It's already gotten. I haven't looked since it
came out. Like I said, I watched parts of the
first episode on Thursday, durt bring my lunch break. I
just didn't want to watch the whole episode on my phone.
I didn't think that was giving a fair.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Shot, like watching trailer on my phone alone. I know
exactly right television.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Which I don't understand how people can do that. They're
literally people that'll be like just full on, full blasting
like shows on their phone during lunch.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
It's like heathens.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
I'm I'm fine with it whatever, but like buy some
headphones maybe.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Yeah, that's the thing. I was like, all right, you
can watch listen to your stuff. Yeah, Like, don't fucking
blare it, dude, Like, come on, man, there's other people here, right. So,
according to this Rotten Tomato score is ninety with forty
five critic review.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Use, I'm still at forty five because that's what it was.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
On on Friday, I think is when I looked it
up and the one rotten review was like just somebody
being panantic, like Picky the Home.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
It's not exactly what I thought it would look like.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
No, it wasn't even like that. It was something to
other I don't remember.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
I clicked on it just to see what it was,
and it was like he had some fair points, but
it was just like, yeah, but that's, you know, obviously
it's just not for you type thing.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Has it released any audience score? There was? There was
not enough for an audience audience score.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Yeah, because it wasn't technically out yet. Yeah, let's go
look it up in here again. Murder Oh nope, that's
one R. There we go, MdeR murder bot. What is
this poster? What the fuck is this? It's not murder bought?

(07:55):
What the fuck is that thing? Mm hmm? Why isn't
a pulling up on you know? W what the fuck?

Speaker 1 (08:04):
I don't know?

Speaker 3 (08:06):
I am dB dot com murderer, but.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
There it is.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Well, there's is a seven point four on IMDb.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Yeah, that's weird.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
List rod to. I mean, obviously don't want to have
another aggregate on their.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Average popcorn meter from audience.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Okay, well let's just differently.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
So weirdly not great from an audience, but still passing.
I just wish it would. Why can't I see.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Yeah, they don't let you see the user ones anymore.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Oh so I can't really, Yeah, I can't see what
people wrote about it.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
No, I think you have to be an affiliate.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
That's weird.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Yeah. I noticed that not too long ago because I
was like, I was what we're I was looking up
something and I was like, why what are these people saying?
And at one point I couldn't even look at uh critics,
uh like reviews, and I was like, what's going on here?
And it's like these aren't these haven't been released yet.
I'm like, then, why the fuck is there a score?

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Right, Like, if you're gonna just just tell me that
that average popcorn meter all audience is seventy five percent,
at least give me a number.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
How many people are there?

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Yeah, that could be that could literally be four people
reviews and just one just didn't care for it.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
I can't even look at reviewers reviews on here? What
the fuck? Really, my dudes on the wrong NFO? Where
to watch seasons?

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Now, that's a good question.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Now, I don't even remember how I got to I
know I was on my phone when I looked it up.
But on the website, it's like, yeah, like I I
click on the tomato meter, it just takes me to
the average thing where I can sort between all critics
reviews and top critic reviews and just see how many

(10:51):
like it's fifty three considered it fresh and one rotten.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
But there's no like.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Link to see the actual reviews.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
How am I supposed to get mad at people for
not liking what I like? I know? Right, horseshits? It
really is how I supposed to make fun of you
to my friend with my friends if I can't read
your dumbass, poorly written reviews.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Right, all right, well whatever, it's a good show. I
like it so far, two episodes in. It moves real fast,
only thirty minutes long. I think you'll like it.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
It's funny, it looks good, and I can't wait to
watch it. I wasn't watching the other night.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
But you know, work, that's right, you work on the Saturdays, a.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Bunch of fucking horseshit. Right, So there's this guy on
Twitter I follow. I really wish he was on other platforms.
I don't think he is because Twitter is successful most
of the time. But his name is Jay the Show. Okay,

(12:14):
basically he is. I don't even know how long ago
this started, but he's on day one thousand, five hundred
and thirty. And what he does is he photoshops Paddington
into photos. I've sent a couple to the group chat.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Yeah, So, like I don't remember how long ago I
started following him, but like a lot of like very
like popular people follow him, like JD Kirk, you and
I know from Space Team, John Cena, Nick Lowe, like
all these really in these like famous like artists and stuff.
Edgar Wright follows him like it's ridiculous. Anyways, So he's

(12:57):
he does like he'll do random ones, like when trailers
come out, he'll throw like Paddington and Superman trailer, or
he'll throw Paddington and whatever trailer happens to be right now.
He's on a kick of of Marvel stuff. So like
there's one, uh alternates, I always can see it. It's

(13:22):
miss it's Miss Marvels Sam okay, and it's supposed to be.
That's the scene where she holds up the furling, the
furlong furling with the cat and it said it's Paddington.
There's one this one. This one made me laugh too.
It's just a man wasp and he's riding wasp. So
that's those are the funny. So he does those that

(13:46):
he has like all sorts of ones that he's there's
ones with him and as a watcher at the end
of Guardians where they're talking to stan Lee. Yeah, and
then when the new Pope was a did oh.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
My god, he's just right there in the middle.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
But you know that's from though it's from a movie.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Oh no, it's from.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Euro Trip, I think so, because I was like looking,
I was like, is this And then I was like,
oh wait, no, that's the actual NBC news one where
Leo came out. Yeah. I was like, that's hilarious because
I thought it was like he was just pulling one
from a movie. But then I was like, oh no,
that's that's actually the one from the news. Yeah, so

(14:32):
it was pretty fun. But yeah, uh, I thought that
I was just bring up because it just popped up saying, hey,
so and so posted again. I'm like, oh, let's go
look at it right, and then like he'll do random
ones like him and George Lucas eating lunch. Oh oh,
by Joe. Joe went away. Everybody Joe was back there.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
I'm here. I didn't have any weird interference or anything.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
You just dropped off for some reason.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
Nothing on my end at all, Like everything looked perfectly fine.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
I was like, as you went away, I was like,
let's go check on my internet was still running?

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Did the video just cut out? Was that what it was?

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Yeah? You went to that having a problem thing.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Weird because it was nothing like that on my end.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Yeah, I don't know. Weird, strange, bizarre called the Ghostbusters.
Oh no, I did have one wonky thing the other
night my router like rebooted. Really yeah, it's the first
time anything like that's happened. Like I was just I
was getting any to get on Xbox. I think it

(15:49):
was when I was getting ready to play Doom. I
went to check updates and it started an update for
Call of Duty and then all of a sudden, like
it just kept giving me like this pause, Like hey,
insulation posits like, I'm not out of space on here
A couple looking. I was like, like, what the hell.
So I was like like leaned over and I was like, oh,
it's orange. Yeah, and then it started blinking. I was

(16:12):
like oh. And then I noticed like the you know,
an Xbox dashboard it has like the ads and stuff.
Those went away and just had like connected internet. I
was like, uh, I slicked at my phone. I was like,
I'm on the wife, and then it went away. I
was like, nevermind, and I'd wait like five ish minutes
or something. That reboot and came back up and hasn't
had a problem again since. So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
An update.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Maybe I don't know. It was just it was very bizarre.
Savior fucking updates the three am will you yeah, right,
what do you fucking Microsoft?

Speaker 1 (16:44):
That's what I like about the router I have.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
It will actually just ask you if you want to
push the update through.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Yeah, that's that'd be nice, right.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
Instead of just doing it itself or or something.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
I really liked that writer alien.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
They wrapped they wrapped filming of the Molcolm in the
Middle reboot already, Jesus, I.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Didn't realize they were doing a reboot of Malcolm in
the Middle that and I think we have.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Talked about Yeah, Brian Cranston had the idea, so he
basically decided to talk to everyone about about it. So
what's weird. It's like there's we're like in this thing
right now where like a lot of like studios are
rebooting television shows, like of their own stuff, not like
you know, obviously, like we were talking about the other

(17:39):
week how Ryan Coogler is doing an x an X
files thing almost had x men. That'd be fucking wild
x men, X files, y x files men x x
men files. I don't know, Uh, that just sounds like
a comic book at one point. Uh. But like they're

(18:00):
they're getting ready to revive, not reboot, revive Buffy the
Vampire Slayer. And they just announced the actress who's joining
along with Sarah Michelle Geller.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
So it's a continuation.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Yeah, that's why it's reviving that.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Yeah. Yeah, I'm just thinking it through.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
And that property I think has the ability to do
something like that just because the lower the mythology of
the slayer of the Slayer, yeah, is born every few generations.
Blah blah, blah. So it has like a it has
like a doctor whoy and type thing to it. You
could just bring it back and just it's not a reboot.

(18:40):
It's not a remake or anything. It's just a continuation.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
Speaking speaking of doctor who is an actual segue, not
like our normal segues. I was at a client's house
the other day yesterday, Yeah, it was yesterday, and probably
I roll up house is the house I'm going to
you is on the right park. I turned the van off,
grab my phone, get out, and I have to pause

(19:06):
because in front of the house across the street, mm hmm,
they have their front door, and then right next to
it is a red telephone box. Why exactly it wasn't blue,
wasn't a police box like the hardest. But I was like,

(19:29):
is this get smart? Is that in like a secret
way in? You go in, you pick up the receiver,
hit a couple buttons and a slide opens up.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
That would be hilarious.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
But I was like, uh, okay, yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
That seems like a rich neighborhood, quirky decor type thing.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
And it really wasn't a rich area. No, no, no, okay, nope,
I mean I don't want to say where it was at,
but it was definitely here in surprise.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Okay, yeah, that's not like that one.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Do you remember that one area that has like all
of the the shrubberies like grown so high you can't
see the house until you're like right on top of it.
And then there's that one house that has like the
dinosaurs in front.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
And you're like, what the fuck? Yeah, yeah, that's why
I was wondering if it was like that area.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
There's a place. Actually, it's funny you speak of that.
The other day, I had to go do a parts
pick up out a house that wasn't from my order,
so it was super far away, well not super far away.
It was off of a Happy Valley and just east
of sixty seventh I believe remember what street that was
off of, Like it wasn't name streets, so it wasn't

(20:34):
a number, but it was over there sixty something. But
I turned the corner, go down, do the parts pick up,
come around, and then coming up, I'm like, what the
hell is this? And in the yard they have a
bunch of those metal sculptures like the animals. Yeah, and
there's like a section of dinosaurs. Then there's like two

(20:54):
big ass horses that are like rearing up, okay, and
then next to it it was just a hodge of
other ship. There was like a mariachi man like blowing
a horn with the big old sombrero on. There was
like a dog that looked like he was jumping into
a pile of leaves, okay, and then some other stuff.

(21:16):
I was like, what the what is happening here? And
it was just in the and this is like a
fairly like richy area over there, Like these are like
big house on big plots of land. They're definitely not
in a homeowners association obviously, but I was like, what
are you doing? Like there's no theme. They're like the
dinosaurs were like there was like three dinosaurs, like a

(21:38):
t rex, a stegosaurus, and I think the other one
was like a what's the long neck one brochy Bracyosaurus.
And they weren't like very big. They were all like
roughly the same size, so obviously like not like oh
my god, the size of these not like you know,
you're like, oh my god, I didn't have to pop
my head out of my sun roof.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Weirdly, and you're like, oh shit, and no, actually need.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Those I can't see shit, where'd they go? But then
the horses, I was like, okay, and then like the
random hodgepodg is shit and I was like, did you
win the lottery? Ands go weird? Like what does your
backyard look like? If this is the front yard, right?

Speaker 1 (22:18):
But I was like, yeah, it probably spilled over.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
I mean that's the front is probably where it did
not start. It started in the back, and they're just like, well,
let's right the front now. So I almost feel like
they started the horses and they're like, oh, dinosaurs, and
then they started buying random stuff and like just over here,
and I'm like, okay, I.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Mean I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 3 (22:38):
You're probably right because it seems like any place that
you go that has those like metal structures always has
like a horse. So you can start there and just like, okay,
it's kind of the Western, themy type thing, you know,
and then yeah, it just kind of grows out a
hand from there. I don't know how dinosaurs are a
Western type thing.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Mariachi kind of sort of sort of.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Western type thing.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
Dogs jumping into leaves, I don't know, probably not, but.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Yeah, yeah, it was very very very strange. And I
was like, I mean I guess, but no, whatever.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
That'd be the narly place to like, you know that
when that person like passes away or something and the
house goes up for sale, it's just gonna be like,
this is gonna be a weirdly designed house on the
inside type thing like the dick. The decor is gonna
be odd.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
That's like.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
Every once in a while, I do the thing you
know where you search on Zillow for like houses near you.
You know, you do a little wish fulfilled to like
one of these days when I could afford house, Probably
won't ever, but or like I'll see that for some reason,
there's a ton of houses for sale around my area,
and it's just got weird.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
Out, like people leaving, like what's happening.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Like, what's happening one of the neighbor's house I was
looking at also because my brother pointed this out like yesterday.
It's he's He's like, yeah, there's like large weeds in
the neighbors like backyard, and he goes, I don't think
I've seen that neighbor in a long time. Well, like
the original neighbor that we had, they moved.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
They were cool. The wife was like a hippie and
it was it was pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
Then these other people moved in that had matching cars,
like like matching matching cars, paint and everything, and then
their kids would show up like once a year, and
you knew when the kids were in town because the
place smelled like weed. This was about the time, you know,

(24:48):
everything started becoming legal here. And then just he pointed
this out, and it's just like, oh, yeah, like I
haven't seen the one car move in front of the
house in a long time, and I haven't seen a
person in a long time at that house anyway, So
you hit up it on Zillo and Zilla has like
fifty freaking pictures of this place, and like the first

(25:11):
thirty or so look relatively normal for this area, you know,
and whatnot, and then suddenly it just changes like totally
weird colors, light blues and everything on the inside. The
decor just like goes all wonky. The backyard is just
the kind of like what you're mentioning where it's a

(25:33):
lot of different things that don't really have a cohesive.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Decord.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
Yeah, you have like a water fixture, fountain thing, you
have your.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Shit what are they called, Like the above ground.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
You know, fire things, fire pit.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
Fire pit.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
There we go, Jesus, I don't know why I couldn't
think of fire pit. Do you have a gazebo? You
have like a by of different things, and it's just
like that's how the interior of the house looks too. Oh,
the master like it's essentially like my house. So you
know the layout of my house. You go into the
master bedroom.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
Just left the sex dungeone.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
Exactly, and I have your standard bog standard shower, you know,
which is the open glass door type thing.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
There.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
The one picture it took me a second to realize
where this was is like one of those fancy tubs
with like the feet on the bottom, and then like.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
A lace a shower curtain that goes in front of.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
It, and like this like gray weird tile that goes
from the floor all the way up.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
And I was just like, holy crap, that's the master path.
That is weird looking.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
Like it's one of those things that you know when
when someone when they sell the house, it's gonna be
like someone's gonna come through and be like, this is
weird looking.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
This needs to be renovated, Like sell it to me
for less. All went weird on here. You should go
look it up. It like it. It is weird man.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
A lot fun times.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
Yeah, fun times have my own anyway, speaking of fun times, yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
Did you see that Christopher Nolan's Odysseus is going to
be shot entirely on Imax film, not like digital because
there's different films that have shot in Imax digital. Fully,
I wasn't aware of this, but it makes sense now.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
That I've seen a lot of especially Christopher Nolan films.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
He's he's big on doing Imax stuff, but only for
certain scenes because like the actual film is.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
And I could be absolutely wrong.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
And I know you could correct me on it is big. Yeah,
so it's kind of unwildy to like shoot on And
apparently he's just like he came up, he went up
to the you know, the the owners of Imax, and
he was like, I want to film entirely this whole
thing Imax. And so they worked with him on getting

(28:27):
the cameras and everything, you know, properly designed and whatnot.
And they're shooting this whole goddamn thing on on was
it sixty five millimeter?

Speaker 1 (28:39):
Is that what?

Speaker 2 (28:40):
I think?

Speaker 3 (28:40):
It's seventy seventy miller Yeah, seventy milliar. It mentioned sixty
five millimeter for a black and white scene here, Oh
that's Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer was the first film to use black
and white sixty five millimeter film in Imax.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
But yeah, I think you're right. Seventy milimere.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
Yeah, it's seventy million.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
So it's gonna be weird to see this thing.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Especially, it's gonna be awesome to be able to see
an Imax if you can go see this thing in
Imax seventy millimeter films. I know, I've seen some movies.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
That have that.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Are they have the Imax actual film and they're they're
showing like the projector runs of it, and they these
these reels are like fucking what three feet four feet
long wide or something like that.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Yeah, because they just did the uh what did they
just release re release his in seventy millimeter Imax, and
it was like not well recently, I think it was
like end of last year. No, yeah, and like they
they showed h. Harkins posted h videos on their on
their Instagram of them delivering the film and it's like
on a palette coming out of a back of a

(29:52):
fucking truck and like that's one of like eleven. I
was like, yeah, exactly, that's fuck dude, And that.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
Just because there are a few scenes that are shot
in Imax, this is gonna be a whole goddamn movie
shot in Imax. So I can't fathom how large these
reels are gonna.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Be spelled film figure it out.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
I thought that was pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
It was Interstellar.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
That sounds probably right.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
So Christopher Nolan's commitment to seventy millimeter film is well known,
with movies like Dunkirk, Oppenheimer, and Interstellar and Tenant being
filmed in or projected in this format. Let's see Dunkirk,
Nolan's first film to be entirely shot on projected seventy millimeter.

(30:49):
Oppenheimer shot with Imax film cameras and presented and select
i i'max seventy millimeter theaters. Interstellar featured i'max seventy millimeter
fotoggraphy and was also presented in the format and on
some unselect IMAX theaters. Tenant, another film, used IMAX and
seventy millimeter film for a portion of its production and projection.

(31:13):
Let's see Nolan's preference. No one has a strong preference
for using film, particularly seventy millimeters, to achieve a specific
cinematic look and feel. He often uses Imax film cameras
to achieve a sense of three D without need for glasses,

(31:34):
just the depth of feel. Apparently that's probably what the
time out.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Because that's a weird statement. I get.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
I've watched a few Imax films in imax, the actual Imax,
not Imax experience, and I don't think I've ever gotten
that field.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
But okay, yeah, the reddit question popped up, what will
happen to seventy millimeters when Christopher Nolan retires? Right, Yep,
there is the thing that Joe's talking about right now,

(32:08):
shooting it all on one hundred percent in imax, trying
to see maybe it was Oppenheimer that was the one
they just recently did, like re released it in that
or something.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
I don't remember.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
Well, I mean, I don't know, As.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
I say, it feels too new to be kind of rereleased.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
But at the same time, I can see them doing
something like that if it was if they think they
could make a.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Little bit more money on it.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
Yeah, that's one of those things. It's just like more
of an indulgence thing. Yeah, let's see if Harkins has it,
I can probably scroll back on harkins Instagram and look
at it. Anyways, I don't remember. I can't really. I
know it was this, I know it was just it
was a Christopher Nolan movie I Summer, which would what

(33:00):
it was. No, they post a lot of stuff, so
it's a bad idea.

Speaker 3 (33:08):
Yeah, because I find it because you're.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
On Twitter right I'm on Instagram right now.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Instagram nevermind.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
Twitter's a fucking cesspool and hard to search for anything. Anyways.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
That's what I was gonna say.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
Anytime I get linked to Twitter, to Twitter for like
continue this article or you know, this was something on Twitter,
it's like, okay, so I click on Twitter, and that's
just I feel like the way they present the timelines
is not a timeline because it's just a mishmash of
shit and it's like, well, how did this link get
me here?

Speaker 1 (33:41):
But it's not showing me what I wanted.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
To look at, but it didn't get me here.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
But I can't just scroll through it and look at
a timeline because you'll have something from like three years
ago as the top thing, and then more recent and
then like two years ago, and it's like what the
fuck is this timeline here? And then eventually you'd be like, hey,
sign into sign into fucking Twitter in order to see more.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
It's like, I don't want to see more.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
I just wanted to see the one goddamn thing that
was linked to me, and that's it.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
There's a video of them and song a new Imax
screen at the Hearkens arahead Mills. Eighty feet long, twenty
seven pounds, took a lifted lifted screen took thirty plus
team members.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
Makes sense.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Cool? What the size, just the size of the room.
And like the fact they had to drape it I
have to drape it over the seats, then to raise
it up to get it in place. Yeah, that's fucking wild, dude.
It's somewhere around there though that they're I don't know
if I'm gonna find it or not. Yeah, AnyWho, whatever,

(34:56):
I know they they showed it because they were making
a big deal about like, oh, it's being delivered, and
I was like, god, damn it so much? Why? Like
I get it, But it's like, come on, man, we
can't advance digital enough to fucking not have to worry
about this anymore.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Right.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
AnyWho? I know it was a Stephen or Stephen I
know it was a Christopher Nolan flick I Kimer which
one it was?

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Yeah, fair enough.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
Did you see news of a car Play two point
or carl Play Ultra or whatever they were calling it
got released this week?

Speaker 2 (35:39):
Oh no, I did not.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
Yeah, it's nothing that helps us, I would say, because
this is the stuff that they teased back in two
tho twenty two.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
I think this article from top of here talked about.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
There's a few more articles, but this is the only
one that they actually talked about getting hands on with
the Jaguar.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
I think it's a Jaguar.

Speaker 3 (36:11):
No, sorry, Aston Martin DBX seven zero seven is the
first vehicle that will be a production vehicle that you
can apparently buy now if I recall, right, the article
said that supports car Play Ultra and what that basically is.
Like I said, back in twenty twenty two, Apple was like, Hey,

(36:32):
this is the future of Apple car plate.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
This is what we want to be the future of
cars as well.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
Basically where you hook your phone up and your car
plate overtakes everything that's right, Yeah, the instrument panel and
the media, the media.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
Head unit and whatnot. It's cool.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
It definitely is the way it seems to work is
still much more like a vehicle that has a digital
instrument instrument plan in a way, apparently that's from what
their viewers say, is locked in place. So you'll have
like a speedometer, you'll have like the little square in

(37:17):
the center that can you know, do multiple media things,
and then you'll have whatever it is on the right
hand side. For I think here it shows like oil temperature.
I don't see where it says fuel.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
Oh, it isn't about fuel.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
Level, but.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
Yeah, show the different thing you know, to sport or
whatever it is, whatever mode you're in in your vehicle
and whatnot. In the center they show like a small
picture of Apple maps and whatever they're traveling to type thing.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
It looks definitely cool.

Speaker 3 (37:55):
Apparently they also leave it up to the manufacturers to
be able to customize those things to make it match
their vehicles, just like color.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
And and and whatnot. And then what features are available
to the vehicle, whether it be cameras and sensors and whatnot,
can all be pulled into it.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
Parkins was interstellar stellar. Yeah, found that.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
You can change things that like you can on your
your car play like wallpaper and whatnot, to make it
a little bit more customized for yourself.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
It looks pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
You have the ability to control like your AC system
directly from car Play without having to That's the basic
idea of it, which is which is really cool. You
don't have to leave car Play to do things that
your car can can naturally do, change the air conditioner
or whatnot. You can even just you know, Siri, you know,

(39:01):
change the temperature to blah blah blah, turn the heater on,
do this, do that. So you can do all that
stuff directly from sirih and you don't have to leave
car Play.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
I'll teach you to say stuff to her.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
I was hoping it wouldn't pick up on that, but
apparently it did, so it definitely looks cool.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
It's one of those things.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
It's it's one of those features that obviously it's only
available to be available on cars that support Ultra car
plate Ultra.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
And the digital yeah, Instagram panel stuff.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:42):
So it's something I would want, but I don't think
that I would be able to have a refort a
vehicle for the future that that would support this.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
I mean, later on down the road, more and more
cars will get it. As the technologies trickles down, you
know what I mean exactly because you can get like
some of the newer I don't want to say basic cars,
that's the dumb way to put in it, but uh
more standardized cars aren't like a Corvette or Jaguire like

(40:13):
any of those have like the new like heads up
display like on the windshield of like your speed and stuff,
and some that sometimes navigation depending if it's built in
or not. But you know, it's it happens. It trickles
down to the ones like you know, like push buttons
start wasn't on a lot of vehicles that weren't high

(40:33):
end keyless entry type stuff, you know, truelest, true keyless entry,
not like oh I hit unlocked, like you walk over,
tap a button on the popping open, you know that
sort of thing. But you know, eventually it'll get that way,
especially if it becomes like popular and like well done,

(40:54):
it'll it'll it'll spread quite a bit because people are like, oh,
I want that.

Speaker 1 (40:58):
The thing is is it does look really well done.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
It has a very apple look to it, so it's
very crisp, very clean, at least in the pictures that
they show. It's very bright. Obviously in real world conditions
it could be a bit different. There's something else that
was the NPOR right here, and I can't remember what
it was, but it looks nice. Oh that's what it was.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
Was it?

Speaker 3 (41:20):
When you set up When it boots up initially, okay,
once your phone is synced, we are greeted by aston
and car play logo on the instrument cluster and a
swoopy Hello message on the center screen.

Speaker 1 (41:34):
So just like your iPad or whatnot.

Speaker 3 (41:37):
When you set things up, it has that you know,
curse of Hello right there on the main screen.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
I thought that was pretty funny.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
But it looks it looks really nice, really looks clean,
and I do like the ability that just integrates everything
into the car play.

Speaker 1 (41:55):
Hopefully this means that we get more car plate apps
that you know, can be used.

Speaker 3 (42:05):
It can trickle down to those of us who have
just regular car play, because that's something that's been sorely
you know, missing from from these systems. Just like the
ability for that, well just for them to open it
up to more things, you know.

Speaker 1 (42:27):
And I thought that was.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
Cool and it was just weirdly just like hey out today.
Oh okay, all right, yeah, whatever.

Speaker 2 (42:42):
Bump, bump, bum.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
That's all the news I had today.

Speaker 2 (42:47):
Apple launches car Play Ulture with Aston Martin, a new
era of car in car tech. That's why I always
want to pull up and see if there's anything else
about it. But uh oh it was part of the
eighteen point five update from the other day. Yeah, gotcha,

(43:09):
which I think I don't even know if did my
phone actually do an update?

Speaker 1 (43:12):
That's good question the other day. I'm not sure if
my phone did general about I don't think it would obvious.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
I'm on eighteen point four point one. That's up where
it is. It has an option for it. I'll do
it later, I'll do it now, I'm doing now. Oh
is that our Joe is that we're doing it?

Speaker 3 (43:35):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (43:35):
Fine, fine, I.

Speaker 1 (43:38):
Raise these phones test my internet against yours.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
Boom done?

Speaker 1 (43:48):
Really no, I was gonna say it might still have
an update requested session.

Speaker 2 (43:53):
Anyway, My mine is in the Uh yep, yep, yep.
I'm not too sure what this actually is. Oh, there
it goes it just I see in a update requested
about twenty two seconds. Still an update requestion, ha, sucker.

Speaker 1 (44:16):
Whatever, I don't care. Yeah, you do care about any
of this?

Speaker 2 (44:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (44:19):
You do, don't care?

Speaker 2 (44:20):
Yeah, you do? Yes.

Speaker 1 (44:22):
I think about right now is how is do Eternal
or not do internal Doom Dark ages?

Speaker 3 (44:26):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (44:26):
So I played the first intro mission, which bro so,
so you're like, okay, all right, all right when you
play a normal intro mission, right and mind you, this
is not like the first in a in a game
series like this is like what the fifth version in
this new Doom one or whatever, fourth version, third version.

Speaker 3 (44:49):
It's like third or fourth because I know they did
obviously we have Doom twenty sixteen Do Maternal. Yeah, but
then there was like a sequel to Doom Maternal, but
it was a DLC right, Yeah, they continued the story
and then we have this which is a prequel to
all of these.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
Yeah. Anyways, so uh you so in most games, in
an intro level to the game, you get taught the basics, right, so,
especially like new mechanics, the shield mechanic in this new
melee function they have which has charges, which I'm gonna
guess probably upgraded.

Speaker 3 (45:30):
Hm.

Speaker 2 (45:30):
Anyways, So then to give you, I think they gave
us two weapons to play with. Yeah, the normal like
shotgun type gun. Uh, and then they gave me the
spike gun or rail was a spike gun.

Speaker 1 (45:50):
Spike gun.

Speaker 2 (45:51):
There's a spike gun.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
Now.

Speaker 2 (45:54):
It was a gun that basically shoots like yeah, it was.
It was a gun that shoots like spikes, like I'm
pretty sure. Uh no, it wasn't because it was like,
I mean, I guess it could be like a Jesus
Christ nail gun, but like it was like they weren't
like nails. They were like they in it rat shot
fast and stuff like that. But then when I get
to the end of it, I finish it pretty fun

(46:17):
and you kind of go through like the different things,
like you use the shield of smash doors. Uh, you
find it, you have to find whoever has the key
to get to the next door, you know, normal doom stuff,
right yeah, because and I was thinking, oh wait, this
one doesn't have like the grapple gun or grapple wristingy,
so I was like, what's gonna be that, and like

(46:38):
they don't so far, I haven't got anything like that.
But anyways, so we're going through so in in the
mission and I was like, all right, cool, it was
fun and it's like, oh, here's all this stuff that
you collected. I was like cool, and it's like secrets
found one of six. I was like, this is intro mission.

Speaker 1 (46:56):
Yeah, you had six secrets in the first intro.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
I was like, what the fuck?

Speaker 1 (47:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
I was like, okay, well I clearly have more work
you do on that level. And then I was halfway
through the next level and then I had to stop
because Page got home. It was dinner time. So but
it's it was fun and the jude, bro, the fucking
intro mission is just well, first off, the intro screen,

(47:22):
like intro, everything was awesome, like sent that picture right,
but then like the music in it is just like thunderous, dude,
It's so fucking cool. Dude. I recommend just jacking the
volume up if you can. And just I was like, yes, dude,
so much fun, so much metal.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
Nice. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (47:41):
The the shield mechanics cool because you can like smash
people with it and like disorientum. Obviously you can block
stuff with it, and there's like the green fire that
people shoot, you can bounce it back at him. The
punching thing is cool because you get the charges and
then you as you bash them, they get that little
like smash me thing and then they turn purple and

(48:03):
you like do a brutality attack thing to him. The
two guns I played with, like I said, were pretty basic.
They weren't anything like, oh my god, I didn't get
that that skull gun that they were they were showing
off in some of the dev videos. Uh, but because
I've only gotten two guns so far. But like the

(48:24):
the when you get when they release the doom Slayer
into the game, because like they start off like this
village is being overrun by demons and this witch is there.
Pretty dope ass like graphics and cinematics and stuff, or
I shouldn't say cinematics, what cutscenes because it looks like
it's game engine. And they're like yeah, they're like if

(48:48):
we don't hurry up, they're gonna send him down. I
was like, yeah, you know what's happening. So then like
the king calls for like we need help, We like
you need to send this him and I was like, yes,
keep referring to him. So and it jumps up to
this like satellite type cross thing in the sky and
they're like, oh well, it's like prepare the doom Slayer.
And so they kind of like release him from his

(49:09):
little like holder thing and he walks over and he
grabs the shield out of there and it's magnets to
his arm and he grabs his gun and then like
you can see his face and like they're like, all right,
drop this Doom the Slayer and I was like, yes, dude,
and then like they shoot this beam down and he's
like you realize it's him dropping in, And when he
fucking lands, it just erupts and all the demons turn

(49:31):
and look and they're like and the smoke clears and
he's standing in like the superhero pos but you realize
he's not down on one knees like scrouching, and he's
on both feet and he stands up holding the fucking
shield and the gun. And I was like, murder time,
just prepare to get murdered, and you perceived his murder
death kill everything around.

Speaker 3 (49:53):
Yeah, play it so far and it looks it looks fun.

Speaker 2 (49:58):
You know, it is.

Speaker 1 (50:01):
For the little exactly what you would want from a
Doom game where it's just running around.

Speaker 3 (50:06):
Just hacking and slashing, and it looks like they've maybe
if made.

Speaker 1 (50:10):
Traversal and combat a lot better.

Speaker 2 (50:14):
Yeah. Yeah, it's reversal. It's pretty seamless. You walk up
and like you grab on you can even jump, and
like obviously you don't really jump very high because he
weighs like one thousand and seventy four pounds or whatever.
And then you add that fucking shield in which gott
to add another fucking half a ton or something. But yeah,
you jump and you climb up, and then you can

(50:34):
bust through certain walls. But by either usually it's throwing
a shield, like you hit it, you target it, you
throw the shield, it busts through shield, comes back to you,
Captain America style. But the shield bashing thing is just
so much fun to do because like certain enemies, if
they're like weaker enemies or lower dam or damage have
been lower lower their health down, they just explode into bits.

(50:58):
But then like you do it, and if you explode
someone in bits and there's other bad guys around, they
take damage and like some of them will die, but
then they like fall back and stuff. And there's one
group of like these like basic enemies and there was
like probably six or seven of them, and I was
like fuck it, So I target one, hit him with
the shield bash, and you jump at him like and
you can go pretty far, like like half a football

(51:20):
field length with this thing, and I hit him, dude,
and it's explodes and like turn to go shoot and
there's nobody around, and I was like, got them, got them?
Got them? Yeah, And there's like no reloading on the
guns so far, like the two guns I've had, Like

(51:40):
you just pick up ammo and it's like it's just
that's just goes.

Speaker 1 (51:45):
Yeah, all right, that's cool too.

Speaker 2 (51:46):
Yeah, my phone's restarting for the update too.

Speaker 1 (51:50):
I'm still I've got preparing updates. So it's it's in.

Speaker 2 (51:56):
Bitch slow as bitch.

Speaker 1 (52:00):
My internet didn't give out a second ago.

Speaker 2 (52:02):
Yours, yours is the problem.

Speaker 1 (52:04):
No, yours is the problem.

Speaker 2 (52:05):
Or your fucking computer, old ass piece of shit.

Speaker 1 (52:09):
That's probably true.

Speaker 2 (52:12):
Yeah, So when are you.

Speaker 1 (52:13):
Gonna upgrade your stuff so I can get newer, old stuff?

Speaker 2 (52:17):
Yeah, man, I'm not. I don't think I'm upgrade by
laptop for a while. I mean, I need you a computer, computer,
but man, I'm just so lazy and don't want to
spend the money on it.

Speaker 1 (52:26):
That is that is true.

Speaker 3 (52:27):
I mean it's plus it's pretty rough to get a
graphics card these days.

Speaker 1 (52:31):
Still. One of my nice senior over at death.

Speaker 3 (52:35):
Of DC had been complaining for the longest time because
he's he's wanted to get a a white because it'll
match the rest of his system ninety seventy, and he's
been complaining for the longest time that he just can't
get them. Like even when something says it's in stock,
you go go to pay for it, or you can
add it to your card, and then a lot of
these systems put you in a line and put you

(52:56):
in this, and put you in that, and then finally
it's like, I'm sorry, we don't have its stock. And
it was funny because he was joking about this one
day at work and he's like, look, look, I can't
even look if I added to KRT and it was like,
oh shit, it added it to Kurt.

Speaker 1 (53:10):
Should I buy this?

Speaker 3 (53:13):
And it's like, uh, well, you've been complaining for like
a month or two now that you couldn't get this thing,
and there it is, and there it is, so yes,
so he buys it anyway, fucking I swear to God,
Like a week later, it still hasn't shipped.

Speaker 1 (53:29):
And this is from best Buy.

Speaker 2 (53:30):
Jesus, Yeah, was it one of the Drop ones? Like
the Drop because those ones aren't instant fulfilled their their
release dates so there you're basically buying from a known
batch they have coming in so they'll have he like, hey,
we have one hundred of these, you can pre buy
it and then when they ship, then we ship them

(53:52):
out to you.

Speaker 3 (53:53):
And that that makes sense because it did just sit
there for uh for a while, and now that I
think about it, like yesterday or the day before he
did say that it finally went for pickup at at
his local best Buy. So but it was it was
still good like over the weekend type of like five
days before did that just sat in like whatever status

(54:15):
it is before it was finally just like, yeah, available
for pickup today. So you're right, that probably makes sense.

Speaker 2 (54:21):
Yeah, they've been doing a lot of stuff like that's
a high demandic Pokemon cards in that way.

Speaker 1 (54:26):
So shameful.

Speaker 2 (54:27):
Yeah, it's just ridiculous, dude. They did it well during
the holiday season. They were doing it for certain stuff too,
as like special say hey, like on this day, this
item is getting they'll let you, like you can even
get notified for it, like sign up from for notifications
like when this drop happens, so you can join in

(54:47):
and try to get one or whatever, and then like
you sign up and you get selected, you of like
thirty minutes or whatever to like get in there, or well,
once you get in, you have thirty minutes to add
it to your cart and then and process the payment
and do all that stuff you want to deliver it
or pick up or whatever. But they were doing that
with like I think he did a couple of tablets

(55:09):
that way, some headphones or whatever, this random stuff. I
think there's even like a special like on this day,
this game is on sale as part of the drop
or whatever. And then someone were like, you know, you
buy it today and then it ships on this date,
which is like a week away.

Speaker 3 (55:26):
Okay, so that makes sense the reason why he didn't
get it for like almost a damn year week.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (55:37):
Anyway, I was playing Clear Obscure, oh were yeah, Yeah,
that's what I've been.

Speaker 3 (55:43):
Playing this past weekend. Beautiful games available on game Pass.
That's one of the reasons why I was getting it.
But apparently it's also like only fifty bucks on Steam
or whatnot.

Speaker 2 (55:52):
Oh wow.

Speaker 3 (55:54):
I'm not typically into our RPGs, mostly because of the like,
turn based systems are just not what I want to do. Yeah,
this is still turn based, but at least it gives
you the ability to dodge or perry attacks, So it
gives you a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (56:08):
Of oh yeah, it's the real time one more.

Speaker 1 (56:10):
Of a real time thing.

Speaker 3 (56:11):
Gives you the ability to just not you know, cross,
have to cross your fingers and hope that it random
chance just missed, you know, type of thing. At least
gives me the ability to try something. So that's one
of the reasons why I was a little bit more
into playing this game. It's good, it's also frustrating at
the same time because of that mechanic, like they don't

(56:34):
make it one you know, it's it's they don't make
it easy to do peri's or whatnot. Yeah, which is fine,
which is good obviously because it's more of.

Speaker 1 (56:43):
A you know, get good type thing.

Speaker 3 (56:46):
But I will say it feels weird like one character
that I have, or two characters that I have, it
feels like I can perry really easy, but in the
one of the third character that you pick up, it
feels like I can't perry with a damn with her

(57:09):
at all. It's weird. Even though I think they're perry,
their pary times have to be all the same. It's
just a weird thing.

Speaker 2 (57:15):
I don't know interesting.

Speaker 1 (57:20):
It's a very fun, very weird game.

Speaker 3 (57:22):
I do have some complaints about it, but I think
that's mostly just because maybe just because I've never played RPGs.

Speaker 1 (57:30):
You have like an.

Speaker 3 (57:32):
Overworld that you can walk around in and then you
go into certain zones and that's where you do your
missions and stuff like that. But my complaint mainly is
like the overworld, you get a map when you go
into these zones. There's no map, there's no like go

(57:52):
here type of thing. It's just like, yeah, find the
next thing. And I'm just like, I honestly, don't.

Speaker 2 (58:00):
You man done updating whatever? Joe sucks.

Speaker 1 (58:07):
I wasn't drag racing anyway.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
That's funny because what you said.

Speaker 1 (58:11):
Nope, can't prove it.

Speaker 2 (58:14):
And look at that Joe whatever.

Speaker 1 (58:19):
Don't Uh.

Speaker 3 (58:22):
The other weird thing that I still haven't gotten used
to yet, and this is definitely because I don't play
hardie RPGs enough, is uh. They throw so much like
word babble at you, and it's just like, Okay, I
can get the basics. Like you you collect something called
chroma that's like a currency in the game to to
buy stuff. Okay, I got that you get these elixu

(58:45):
type things that you can heal yourself, heal.

Speaker 1 (58:48):
Your your ap your energy, and.

Speaker 3 (58:53):
Heal something else, which I don't really remember. I haven't
really used those a whole lot. But then each character
has like a thing, and so like one character could
be like, Okay, if you cast this damage thing, it
does it consumes this, but if you do this one,
it creates it in order to use it here to

(59:14):
be able to be consumed. And each character is like that,
and I'm just like, huh, I just want to hit things?

Speaker 2 (59:23):
Can I just want to hit Can I break stuff?

Speaker 1 (59:27):
You can?

Speaker 3 (59:27):
Which was another weird thing, like they don't really tell
you about in the game, Like there are like you'll
run across a like like a lot of you know,
crates and stuff like that, and I'm like, okay, it's
a crate. Like in the intro level, there really wasn't
an ability to break things. So I thought with the
rest of the game, like it really couldn't break these

(59:48):
things until like I just accidentally hit the the button
to like do a I don't even know what it is,
Like you can hit a button to do like an
attack when when a creature coming at you and that
way you get first turn. But you can also just
do that in the open world and break grates and
I was like, oh, oh, I didn't know this.

Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
This changes things because now I can break things and
look for stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:00:15):
Oh yeah, dude, Zelda style bro.

Speaker 3 (01:00:17):
Yeah. I will say though, it is very forgiving in
the uh your upgrades, Like I feel like it just
throws upgrades at you because you can collect these things
called pictos, and the pictos will do certain status effects
and whatnot for you. So like, I just weirdly picked

(01:00:38):
up one that was like it's I can't remember what
it's called, something gambling where it gives you a fifty
percent chance of doing either fifty percent damage of what
your your you're casting, or two hundred percent damage. And
I was just like, well, I'll gamble with that. I'll
definitely use that, you know, attack fuck that one did

(01:01:00):
fifty percent of blood.

Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
Normally would would be attack.

Speaker 3 (01:01:03):
Oh shit, that did four hundred percent because you know,
you can stack like all the different attack percentages on
top of it like that, that'd be cool. I'm okay
with that, Like all right, I think it's fun. But
then talking about graphics, it's like it looks beautiful when

(01:01:26):
you're in the open world, when you're even in the zones,
because it does have a vivid, different perspective look to it.
But the cut scenes, man, the in game cut scenes
are atrocious. Really, yeah, so you need to do some
better optimization because they they like to blur out the

(01:01:50):
background when they go into a cut scene, and it
focks with everything in the foreground for me. So if
you have a certain setting called post processing set to epic,
which everything for me just defaulted to epic and I.

Speaker 1 (01:02:07):
Was like, all right, I'm just gonna leave it at
that sounds epic, Yeah right.

Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
It causes like the hair, so you'll see like the
blur of the background, but then like a slight line
around all the characters where it's not blurred, and then
the hair you can just see like glitches of black
in the hair, and it's like that's really weird. You
turn it down a little bit, the glitches of black

(01:02:33):
go away, but then things seem to get like like
a really jaggy around the characters themselves, almost like someone
turned shit, what's that called alasne whereever it is like
super down, and so it just like you know, it
almost looks like Minecraft. Things are just like jacketed jacket

(01:02:56):
edge jacket edg jaggetedge deggatades and it's like, oh, this
is weird. Turned prostprocessing down a little bit more like,
little bit, what are we processing? That is fucking with
the image? Could I could just like no, I don't
want any fuckery with the image. Just just turn that off.

Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
Whatever that is.

Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
But then it'll go back to actual game and it's
like this looks gorgeous. And then it'll go into a
pre rendered cut scene and for some reason they put
this static.

Speaker 1 (01:03:25):
Film over it, and I'm like, this looks atrocious. What
are we doing?

Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
Are are?

Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
What are we doing? I don't know?

Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
So those are the things I have problem with, and
I'm sure there's actually more things like.

Speaker 1 (01:03:43):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
Some of the the battles, like I said, with the
parrying and dodge system are like I shouldn't.

Speaker 1 (01:03:50):
Be doing this.

Speaker 3 (01:03:50):
I'm very under level, But you died. It's a little
bit forgiving. It only puts you a little bit far back.
And so I go at it again and I've died,
and I'm like, oh man, this is something I have
to progress the game too.

Speaker 1 (01:04:02):
Like I like I.

Speaker 3 (01:04:04):
Can't just go somewhere else. This isn't an optional, boss,
I have to do this. So I die and I
come back and then I just wiped the thing out,
and I'm like, what happened? What was the RNG on
this that was just like and suddenly he's easier. I'm like,
I what did I just get good?

Speaker 2 (01:04:22):
I don't know, you finally figured it out, Jill finally.

Speaker 3 (01:04:27):
Figured it out, only to quit and come back and
then just suddenly like there there are times where yesterday
where I was like, Okay, I'm gonna go eat eat, Hey,
I'm gonna go play some more. Expedition thirty three is
what I keep calling it, and the first like just
a just a guy that I encounter in the main world.
I'm just like, Perry fuck, Miss Perry fuck, Miss Perry fuck,
miss goddamn it?

Speaker 1 (01:04:48):
What the fuck? Yeah? Overall, I would say it's fun though,
all right.

Speaker 3 (01:04:56):
Yeah, so especially for something available on game Pass, if
you like RPGs, try it out.

Speaker 2 (01:05:03):
Try it out.

Speaker 3 (01:05:04):
It's a very interesting story too, so far, like I
don't you know just basically that there's a like some
some creature somewhere just teleported part of France or part.

Speaker 1 (01:05:18):
Of the whole world parts of the whole world.

Speaker 3 (01:05:20):
Into another dimension or something like that, and that off
in the distance you can see a monolith with this
ginormous fucking character that they call the Paintress, And once
a year she gets up and then she basically paints
or magically writes another number on this monolith. And basically,

(01:05:41):
if you were at that age, you just snapped. So
it started at one hundred, so everybody that was a
hundred or above just disappeared. And then every year ninety nine,
I said, this is thirty three now, and so everyone
that was the age of thirty.

Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
Three you just snapped.

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
Gone Jesus.

Speaker 3 (01:06:03):
And this refers to Expedition thirty three that each year
from year from the first year it happened, expeditions then
sent out. But basically no one ever comes back from it.
And their idea is that they're just trying to get
to the painterss to stop her or figure out what's
going on. But basically, and this isn't much of a spoiler,

(01:06:25):
because it happens within like the first twenty minutes when
your expedition hits gat hits the the island or whatever
it is near the monolith, it lives like magical d day. Dude,
just things start exploding around you. People are just fucking
dying left and right. One dude gets his head chopped off,

(01:06:45):
and it was just like, what the fuck is going on?

Speaker 1 (01:06:49):
Yeah? All right, So.

Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
I knew there's something I wanted to talk about real
quick before we wrap this up.

Speaker 1 (01:06:57):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
More in ofmation has come out about Alien Earth, including
a release date and how many episodes are included, and
an updated synopsis. So, Alien Earth premieres its first two
episodes on August twelfth on Hulu at eight pm and

(01:07:22):
on FX and Disney Plus eight pm August thirteenth in UK,
International and Disney Plus. New episodes of the eight episode
season debut each following Tuesday. Okay, so the synopsis is
this set in twenty one, twenty well after Prometheus and
just two years before Alien and the unfortunate events that

(01:07:42):
befall the crew of the Dromo. Noah Howley's Alien Earth
sees the serious deep space research vessel USCSS Minno crash Land,
which is funny because it's on a three hour tour
sorry crash Land on Earth with a young woman called
Wendy who's played by Sidney Chandler and a ragtag group

(01:08:05):
of tactical soldiers making a faithful discovery that puts them
face to face with the planet's greatest threat.

Speaker 1 (01:08:13):
Interesting.

Speaker 2 (01:08:15):
So that's it. And apparently there's more than just xenomorph
alien monsters that are included in this interesting so we
could see some hybrids. We also could see some just
other alien creatures apparently. But yeah, so finally.

Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
Get the aliens from like the Dark Horse comics.

Speaker 2 (01:08:37):
Oh yeah, dude's fucking bull alien and ship the alien
don't say that ship and more than a thousand dudes
for that ship. Yeah right, thousands of face marinying ship gif.
Oh god, dudes, neck.

Speaker 3 (01:08:57):
All right, that's cool out out.

Speaker 1 (01:08:59):
At least way now, No, August Twelfthy said.

Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
August twelfth, Yeah, all right.

Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
I know what I'm doing. The weekend of August twelfth.

Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
Watched at least two episodes of Alien Earth YEP, so
it should be should be lots of fun. Mm hmm.
That's so fun, all right, that's all.

Speaker 3 (01:09:18):
On the trailer that was released or a teaser that
was released not too long ago. It was pretty cool too.

Speaker 2 (01:09:23):
Yeah, they've done a really cool job of just kind
of sprinkling stuff out there. I'm sure we'll probably get
a an actual trailer trailer here fairly soon, unlike.

Speaker 1 (01:09:35):
That other Marvel property. Uh fuck, what was it.

Speaker 3 (01:09:42):
That literally just got released out of nowhere, Like they
haven't been advertising at all. And then it's just like
there it is Marvel they released on Disney Marvel property.

Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
Yeah, what was it? What was it?

Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
Uh? The girl builds basically an Iron Man suit iron Heart.

Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
Yeah, it's not out of it.

Speaker 1 (01:10:06):
I thought it was out.

Speaker 2 (01:10:06):
No, it's just the trailer.

Speaker 1 (01:10:08):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:10:11):
I was like, what did they just release.

Speaker 3 (01:10:14):
Because there was like nothing about it at all, And
then I thought someone said that it just got released
and they're like, didn't do any advertising for it?

Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
Nah, they did. They did the promo thing with Ryan
Coogler and they showed off the full length trailer they did.
I mean not that they didn't promote it at all,
but they did drop the new animated show Star Wars
Tales from the Tales of the Underworld that just came out.
But it was like that was like talked about a

(01:10:45):
couple of months ago.

Speaker 1 (01:10:48):
But all then disregard what I said.

Speaker 2 (01:10:50):
Okay, I was like releases. I was like, am I
behind on something.

Speaker 1 (01:10:54):
What the fuck? Horseshit, that's what happens when I read
the internet, whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
I do believe. On uh, Monday, May twenty six, what
happened to be Memorial Day? Uh, Captain America and the
Falcon come out comes out on Disney.

Speaker 1 (01:11:14):
Oh they're actually doing his season two.

Speaker 2 (01:11:16):
No no, no, no, no, no, Captain American Falcon, the
New World, New World Cauthin American New World, Red Hulk movie.

Speaker 1 (01:11:25):
Okay, the actual movie, yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
Comes out. I wish they would dotin American Winter Soldier. Yeah,
they'd be awesome if they did another season of that show.

Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
Okay, gotcha?

Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
Well, I mean it would be kind of weird because
like Bucky's like chummy with fucking Walker right now. Mm hmm.
But Walker knows he did bad ship. It's not his fault.
I mean it is for his fault, but fault.

Speaker 1 (01:11:47):
I'm pretty sure it's. Yeah, beat somebody's face in.

Speaker 2 (01:11:51):
The killed him off a red shield. That's why they
have may have You don't know they did tell us
that's why I took that shield away. Not a motherfucker.
All right, that's it for this week's episode. Comes naturally.
We have been I have been Cody, and as usual,
you fuckers just came naturally.

Speaker 1 (01:12:13):
