Speaker 1 (00:00):
There goes worry for a second. One's gonna start. Yeah, really,
my garage band has millennial pause.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Millennial pause.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Yeah, that's a thing that uh, this newer generation has
a coined the term for, but also discovered when they
watch millennials do social media videos. So basically basically comes
down tore like editing. Uh So when you start a

(00:43):
video like on TikTok or Instagram, what are you doing
a video on? There's a slight moment at the beginning
where you you're not doing anything. There's like a pause,
and then you start doing whatever the content the video is.
So it's a it's a joke about millennials and a
millennial pause. Okay, because most people who are adept at

(01:05):
it will edit that in like whatever program using to
take out that pause of like starting the video and
then waiting. They just don't do it because apparently millennials
don't care about editing. Yeah apparently apparently. Yeah, yeah, yeah,

(01:29):
I know. This next part is probably gonna be really
good for audio only podcasts. But a new featured book.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Stephen King, uh The Lost Chuck.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
The Life of Chuck, Life of Chuck.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
This is novella. It's cute look how small and cute
it is.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
He knows how to write novellas.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yeah, he well this is so whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
He looks like a pretty long novella, to be fair.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah, well, I mean it's a I mean it's it's
not terribly I'm.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Gonna get this three hundred pages three, you know, roughly
three hundred So that's a.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Good little last actual page of of of book one
hundred and nine.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Oh, it's been a long time since I've actually, you know,
read a physical book.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
So this is the new one that this is based
the Mike Flannagan did the.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Movie on Okay, Yeah, this is.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
From the If It Bleeds, a collection which includes a
bunch of novellas. This is one of them. This is
the cool little like hardcover they did for it. But
I wasn't gonna buy it because I already have a
physical copy of If It Bleeds. But this one is
a little special. It's a movie tie in one. Obviously,

(02:49):
It's got Tom Hillson dancing on the front of it.
Let me slide this. That was great audio right in
the microphone. So steph king blah blah blah. Nothing nothing
crazy about the that portion of it. But what I'm
about to do. Makes it easier without the dust cover
on it. So when you when you open it normal

(03:09):
you know, front page, title page, whatever, you go to
Life of Chuck to beginning of the story, and there's
this little picture.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Yeah this picture.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Yeah, okay, the book is a flip book. O my
god of Tom Hidlson dancing. See if I can get
this so you can see it. So there it is. Yeah,
you ripple through and you can see him dancing.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
That is so dumb, but I like it.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yeah. So yeah, so I got that because it's it's
cool and it's you know, it's just hilarious of him
dancing because that's part of a big part of the movie.
Oh yeah, it's a just a character type thing for it.
But yeah, so when that officially started everywhere in theaters

(03:59):
this weekend. So that's why the book came out. And
I discovered something new at Barnes and Noble. Not a sponsor.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
So if a book is available in store, you have
an option to to if you go online through the
app or on the website and you can say pick
up in store. Okay, they have a cool but they
have an option where it's pay in store, so you
can still have them reserve the book like you paid

(04:32):
for it, but then you pay for it in the store.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Is there a reason why this would be more beneficial?

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I mean, you could do other shopping too, I guess really,
But I thought it was just an interesting little thing
just in case you're like, if you want to use
a gift card that you can't use online because it's
like a Visa gift card or something like that instead
of like a Barn's little gift card. I don't know.
I thought it was a cool little feature just in
case you wanted to or if you change your mind,
you don't. You're not getting charged for a book, you

(05:00):
know what I mean? Okay, but it's still being held
for you. Okay, So I don't know that that was
an interesting little.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Still weird to me, Like, if I'm committed to buying
the book, I'm buying it.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
I don't. I'm not too sure either. I just thought
it was an interesting thing they added on there.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
It is definitely interesting.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Speaking of books, proper segue.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
An actual proper see.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Yeah weird, right, So obviously you and I read lots
of different types of books, but we also read a
lot of the similar, similar books. You told me about
yachtzis writing a book, writing books, And I read that

(05:46):
one The mog World one very funny basically for anybody
who hadn't didn't hear that episode, it's basically about a
uh NPC in a video game who becomes self aware,
not right away, but he becomes self aware that he's

(06:06):
in a video game and things like that, and he
has to progress through because he doesn't want to. He
doesn't want to be living an NPC life, and he
wants to because he has free will now he wants
to continue on his his his life as he sees it,
being free of control. Fun but very very satire in
a way of video games, specifically like World of Warcraft

(06:32):
style games, where it's basically a repeatable everyday thing. You
go through and you decimated village. In the next few hours,
you go back and the village's back, and the same
lady who's mining her garden is mining her garden again.
Little things like that. So a while ago, I saw

(06:52):
a video of a guy whose name escapes me, and
I'll look up and right now, who does he? He's
a voice actor. Let me pull it up once one second.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
I'm waiting, uh.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Uh there. Come on, man, all right, let's see here
his name is m m hmmm. That's not the one

(07:36):
I wanted. Hold on, I'm almost there, calm fair enough.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Yeah, if you like that that book, Have you started
reading any of his other ones?

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (07:48):
We'll work, will Work for food? Will Space Captain for food?
Or or We'll Save the We'll save the Universe for food.
No other of his series that I started reading. I
think it's only two books, with a third book.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
On the way. I want to say, no not. It's
a real fun one as well, that has that explores
that interesting like space.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
In the early days of like being able to travel
to other planets is mostly done by adventurous swashbuckling you know,
space captains and whatnot. But then as new technology comes
in with the ability to do like instant teleportation from
one place to another, their job becomes obsolete and so

(08:33):
basically they become tour guides that just fly tourists around
and do actiony stuff that much like I would think
that you'd have like the you know, like the Pirates
of the Caribbean. This is like what it would be
like to be a pirate and you're floating through a
you know, on reels thing, and it's like, this is
what it used to be to be an adventurous captain,

(08:55):
and they just flies through certain things and just be like,
oh no, we're being attacked type of thing. Yeah, showing
tourists around until he gets basically mistaken for. So there's
like a character that you never see but is basically

(09:15):
stealing every space captain's famous story that they have when
they wear a captain an actual like space venture swaspuckling
captain and writing a book about it and making a
ton of money off of it. Our main character gets
mistaken for that character who writes the books, and he's

(09:36):
just like, well there's money involved, so yeah, I'm totally
that guy, and basically hijinks ensues from there.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
It's a pretty fun book.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
I will have to check it out because I did
enjoy mog World quite a bit.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
So.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
The General's name is Jeff Hayes. He does He's done
a lot of audiobooks. I think of listening to a
couple of his, but he uh, he does. He actually
does voices is the thing. Okay, So in this this
new series I started, it's called Dungeon. The book I started,

(10:17):
it's called Dungeon crawler Carl Okay, and it is basically
synopsis is of this This guy who is uh kind
of like a loser, is at home with his girlfriend's
cat while she's on a girl's trip which ends up

(10:41):
being actually a trip to meet her ex boyfriend, and
he basically finds out so he's getting dumps her, but
he can't do it with her cat yet because she's
not home. She's not back. But one night, defiantly he's
gonna smoke a cigarette in the apartment, but he opens
the window and the cat takes this optiony to jump
out of the window and land in a tree, so

(11:04):
he has to run outside to get this cat. And
it is during a cold weather in Seattle, and all
of a sudden, this noise happens and all the buildings
around him collapse to the ground. Okay, and a voice
from another world starts talking to him and explains to

(11:26):
them that the world has been taken over and that
the everybody who's still alive has an option to enter
the dungeon to survive. If you make it to level
eight you make it through level eighteen, you get to
take over the world and you can have you have

(11:47):
free reign of the world after they're done. So basically
he goes in and it's this alien conglomerate who basically
puts on this TV show called Dungeon Crawl, and they
have chosen Earth to do this, and they're essentially reverse
pyramids that are basically made out of all the materials

(12:10):
of the world that collapsed, so it includes people, animals, anything,
all the buildings, cars, all that stuff has been repurposed
into the dungeon and reconfigured their atoms into creating this dungeon.
So when you go in, it's like a full on
video game. You have a heads up HUD that you

(12:31):
can see, an inventory system, but there's it's literally plays
by the rules of a of an RPG. So there's
a there's a guild you joint you go to which
is like an introductory guild, and you get access to
this uh whoever the guild person is you find for
the first time. He's your he's your introductory guild guy

(12:52):
all the way into like level I think it's like
a level four or something, and then like there's no
more introduction stuff or whatever. Anyways, so base the whole
thing is this guy gets trapped in here with his
girlfriend soon would have been soon to be ex girlfriend's
cat okay, named Princess Donut, and uh, he becomes unwilling.

(13:16):
Uh he didn't know what was happening because he what
I skipped is when he went outside, all he had
on was a leather jacket, uh, in his boxers. So
when he went into the dungeon, all he had was
his leather jacket in his boxers and his girlfriend's cat,
Princess Donut.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
So when they go in, they basically find, like they before,
they stumble onto, you know, the the guild. Uh, they
actually get attacked by these goblins and a goblin dozer,
and it's just super hilarious because like he doesn't have
anything but a leather jacket and boxers and a cat
m and so he basically stumbles around and it's really funny,

(14:00):
but it's gotta it's gotta. Uh. It reminds me a
lot of like, uh, kind of the humor and stuff
that Mogworld had in it, like satires humor, but in
this one, there's like, excuse me, just a bunch of

(14:22):
jokes that are like based around RPG or I mean,
dungeon games in the in different RPG or yeah RPGs
and stuff where you like you level up and stuff
like that. But there's like all these like like at
one point he gets this uh skill because he's been
using handy on combat and foot combat to like step
on bad guys or whatever, he gets a smash uh

(14:46):
skill where basically it buffs his his attacks with his
feet and stomping on things. And uh. So every time
you do something in the in the game, you get
an achievement, and a lot of times achievements have prizes
and stuff with him both all the descriptions, so an
ai voice will pop up and read the description, and
by the time he gets the level two of the
smash skill, it becomes like this like kind of like

(15:09):
perverted underneath the breath, like fetish voice talking about how
he's stumping on things with his glorious, beautiful feet and
it's it's like and it's so bad, it's so funny.
There's like shit like that throughout the whole thing. And
there's like one point where they stumble upon this boss

(15:30):
area and uh they had previously found one, and so
they're like, oh, I think I know we can do
in this. We have explosives, will blow the boss up
without having going in the room that we won't like
if we don't kill it, it'll be damage, like we
did this last one. Right, So he has this this
he builds this contraption out of this like goblin cart

(15:51):
with all these explosives. So he's gonna have the cat,
who at this point is sentient and can talk and
it is its own dungeon caller open the door. He'll
he'll throw the he'll roll the cart in, she'll slam
the door. They'll run and they'll remotely detonate this bomb
that he built. Right, So she does and as they're running,

(16:11):
she's like, wow, there were so many babies in there,
and he's like what and he takes cover and he's like,
what are you talking about? And then of course the
bomb goes off, so he gets an achievement for being
a baby killer. Nice, but they were monsters, so eventually
they would have come after him. So it's like kind
of okay, but it's an asshole one. It's super hilarious

(16:35):
just the way they do it. And then so like
another time, they're going into a dungeon and he's like,
I just hope there's like not like more goddamn babies
in here, and so it's just it's real funny like that.
It's just super hilarious, and like he does all these
different voices and it's one this one guy and his
main voice for Carl kind of sounds like Patrick Warburton. Yeah,

(16:58):
but he does literally every single voice in the game,
male female, like the creature ones, and he's really good
at it. Okay, Yeah, it's real fun. And there's multiple books.
That's the first one, Dungeon Crawler, Dungeon Crawl Carl, Dungeon
Crawler Carl. Yeah, I know, it's crazy. So it's written

(17:21):
by a gentleman uh named Matt Denneman. D I n
n I am an Uh it's super hilarious.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
This is the the cover of the book. The well,
this that og cover the book. The newer ones actually
different because he's released a few different ones. And I'm
pretty positive this one doesn't end with him getting the
level eighteen because I'm almost done with it and uh,
I let's see where am I at? I have four

(17:54):
hours left and they just made it to level two.
Oh okay, yeah, so I have I'm pretty sure the
other books in the series have to do with the
the rest of the Dungeon Crawl. I'm trying to pull
up the it's called the lit RPG game lit Adventure.

(18:19):
That is what the thing is. I'm trying to see
what the other area the Dungeon Carl Carl collection is
Dungeon Crawler Carl Carl's Doomsday Scenario, The Dungeon Arconist's Cookbook,
Gate of the Faral Gods, The Butcher's Masquerade, The Eye

(18:41):
of the bed Limb Bride, and the Inevitable Ruin. Inevitable Ruin. Sorry,
uh so seven books.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Altogether, Okay, how long are they? So?

Speaker 1 (18:57):
This one?

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Uh is.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
It's like thirteen hours? Yeah, they're they're long. They're long books,
like thirteen hours thirty one minutes for that one. Let's
see what the other ones are, Like Book two is
eleven and a half hours, and I think they if

(19:24):
I read it right before on some one of the
other ones. There's other guest narrators too that pop in.
I don't know if they're in the books or like
they Let's see if I can find all of them.
That one's Jeff Hayes as well, but he might have
other people in other books too. I'm not too sure.

(19:45):
Because I haven't looked him up. I just thought this
one was fun, and I thought it was kind of
up our our alley when it comes to things like
mob World and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
That's pretty fun.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
Yeah, on a curse research for for Just a Dungeon,
Carl Carl Apparently Universal International Studios picked up the rights.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
To it last year.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
Okay, I didn't read it.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
With Seth McFarlane's Fuzzy Door and Chris Yost attached to it.
Oh okay, trying to read quickly through the article here
doesn't really mention any thing.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Else about it.

Speaker 4 (20:32):
But yeah, it looks like last year it got picked up,
so maybe sometime in the future it might actually be
a show.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Well, Chris Yost is a good person to have on
it because he does a lot of really good.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Yeah, it says.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
His credits credits include live action adaptation of kawwayb Bop
for Netflix. He also worked with on Seth Brogan's Tales
of Teenage Mutantninja Turtles, and wrote the future adaptation of
How to Steal a Plan for Confluential and Justin Seman.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
I have no idea what that is.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
Uh, yeah, all right, let's see right here. Yeah, no,
it's it'd be it'd be fun uh animated or live action,
live action. It would be a lot of randomness going
on in it, for sure, because there's a the one
of the first like not a spoiler, but one of

(21:27):
the first bosses they run into is called the Hoarder
m h. And it's this fifteen foot tall lady who
only speaks Spanish, but she's in a trash heap and
she vomits up cockroach enemies grows. Yeah, it's pretty gnarly,
but it's pretty fun.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
This also mentions here that five sequels have followed from
the first book, and Didiman has raised major sums on
Kickstarter to publish special editions, so if you really like
the hardcovers, you can keep an eye out. Kickstarter apparently
recently assigned a publishing deal with Penguin Random House and
will uh it says and Will and will a hardcover

(22:08):
version Great Editing Guys of the book will release August
twenty seventh, which if this articles from twenty twenty four,
it means that it's actually came out last year.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Okay, so that's probably I was gonna say it's probably
the ones I saw at Barnes and Noble. Yeah, so
I heard about Like, so I saw Jeff Hayes in
an interview and they were hav him to do a
bunch of different like impression like voices, and he did one.
It's like he did like a Daffy Duck one or something.

(22:41):
And then they had him do Patrick Warburton and I
was like, bro, that's Patrick Warburton, Like how the fuck?

Speaker 3 (22:49):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Yeah, these must be the yeah, these must be the
the re released ones, because these the ones I saw
Barnes and Noble. I'll show you the quick cover that's
the one.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
That Yeah, it's one of the arts that I see here.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Yeah, so those are the ones that are Penguin Random House.
I'm guessing is these ones then? Uh? Book details nowhere
on there overviewed, don't care. Yeah he has like all
of them are out that way. Well I don't know
if all of them out that way, but it looks
like yeah, one, two, three, four, five, six, yep, so

(23:27):
all of them are that way, are out like that? Cool?
But yeah it's super fun. Yeah, Penguin Penguin Publishing Group.
So yeah, this must be the ones after you signed
the deal then, so this re released all of them
and hardcovers with the cool new covers, fun fun book,
super hilarious. I I l o Led a lot, and

(23:48):
it uh just because it's the hilarity that happens and
the stupid ship that he goes through with his the
the cat who who basically has no impulse control and yeah,
which obviously so at first she's a companion character and

(24:12):
then he gets this companion treat that he like. The
guy's telling him like, hey, like, so this is what
you do is you feed this to him, and it
can do multiple things. It can enhance them, it can
actually turn them into like a bad creature that will
attack you. He's like, so I recommend like thinking about it,
like before you feed it to her, and she just

(24:33):
jumps up, grabs out of his hand and eats it.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
Okay because you.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
Know cats ye falls to the floor instantly into like
the pilot goo. And then he's like, well, we just
have to wait. She didn't teleport out of the the
safe room, so she's not a monster, but we'll see
what happens and later like there, so he's having a
conversation with Thetorial guy, the guild Master guy, and also

(24:58):
you hear this voice of female voice say stuff, and
they look and it's her and she's talking and she
was exactly the same, but she's now talking out loud.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
And she has turned into an actual dungeon crawler versus
being a companion. Uh. And she's a magic wheelder because
she's a quadruped, so there's not a whole lot of
weapons they can use, but she when she gets an item,
she just instantly does like uses it like she like,
so if it's a piece of armor or something, she
just puts it on no matter what. The repercussions are nice,

(25:35):
and she's a lot of it is. In fact, she's
a showcat, so like she's been like to like different
her her owner would bring her to different shows and
she's won a bunch of awards, so she's like always
into pretty stuff. So at one point she gets like
this tiara and uh, so she just puts it on,
but it actually puts her into this royal bloodline in
the Dungeon that has like consequences when they get to

(25:57):
a certain level, where so to go past that level,
she has to kill everybody in the bloodline to take
over the rulership of the kingdom, and then she can
move past that dungeon. Okay, like but like she doesn't care,
she just put it on.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Yeah, I'm actually on the Kickstarter and that's what I
ran across. One of the.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
Stretch goals is a like little figure, like little plastic
two D figure of the cat wearing a tiara and
some sort of butterfly.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
Now, yes, like a very fluffy like you said, show cat.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
She's the kind of cat that has like the smush nose.
I don't know if those cats are called.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
I'm not a cat person. One of the other stretch
goals gives you heart to.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Underwear, yeah, which is funny. Okay, yeah, so uh and
then he uh you find out in the in the
in the the tutorial portion of it. As they get
to after they get to level two, they can get
sponsorship because it's a TV show, so people will sponsor them.

(27:01):
And when you're sponsored and you have fans, it draws
more eyes on you. The more eyes on you, the
more fit, like, the more stuff you can get, the
better items because then like you're sponsored, so like those
sponsors are getting money for sponsoring you, you know. Yeah,
so then they can send you gift like boxes and
stuff like loot boxes. But the game is tailored to

(27:24):
what's happening in the situation, so like when you go in,
obviously it tailor's items that gives you to your to
you specifically, so she gets stuff that are for quadrupeds.
He gets stuff for you know, human h yeah, yeah, exactly,
You're not getting a hunter thing if you're fucking warlock
or the same goddamn exotic armor that you got fifty

(27:46):
seven times before. But yeah, see, like that's so like
and then uh uh, he's always complained about not having
pants or shoes. So at one point, because he's been
using his feet in his hands, he starts getting items
for his feet in his hands, and uh, one of
them he gets as a toe ring that gives on

(28:09):
his his stomps, like more powers. I came with this
towing did And he's like, oh, not really a jewelry guy.
So he pops it on and it resizes to him
and he's like, oh okay, and he's like, but you
like in it, you can feel yourself, like like ability
is happening to you or whatever. So here's a tingler
or whatever. And so as he's using it more, he
then gets a platinum box with a manicure kit, and

(28:32):
it comes with the description and talks about how he
uses it and it gives him like, uh, invulnerable, invulnerability
for thirty hours on his feet always always did weird
random shit that happens whatever, Right, but it's accompanied by
an achievement with the creepy voice thought like the fetish
voice talking about it, and it's not about your glorious
beautiful feet squishing through the mall. It's so fucking hilarious, dude.

(28:53):
It's so funny.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
That reminds me of playing Clear Obscure right now. There's
a character that you can collect mid game that their
powers come from collecting the legs of the enemies. Hell,
and so every time that you play him in uh,

(29:17):
every time you play him, yeah, he's like, oh the
beautiful feet and you're just like, God, damn it, dude,
why are you doing this?

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Yeah, so I I enjoy It's quite fun. But yeah,
it's it's just a real fun read. Obviously plays on
the the trope of video games and things like that,
RPGs and nonsense. Yeah, pretty pretty hilarious.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
Remember to check it out.

Speaker 4 (29:52):
I'm still slowly working my way through snow Crash.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
Yeah, that's a slog for sure.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
I mean it's not bad, it's just I've been haven't
been feeling like reading books lately, and I haven't.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
I didn't buy the audiobook for.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
It, oh gotcha.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
So that's why it's just.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Gonna slow read, actual read, actual read.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Yeah, so you know someun times, but you like.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
These types of things.

Speaker 4 (30:22):
They they're not they don't take themselves way too seriously,
so it it tends to be a lot more fun
of a read, much like.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Tea.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
Yep, yeah, very much.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
So yep, yeah, so I like it.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
I dig it.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Yeah. So it's it's funny too because like all of
Princess Donut stats are higher in his of course, so
she has like really high charisma. Her strength is actually
higher than his, but she doesn't want to use physical
physical attacks because it's icky m h. And he keeps
getting like gore and shipped on him when he stomps

(30:57):
on fucking on creatures and it just like in a
want like the explode like Quentin Tarantino style, fucking like
blood amounts and stuff. So he'll like throw one against
the wall and just bursts into like a fucking viscera balloon.
But it's like four times the like liquid of the
body it came out of.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
Yeah, it's really it's pretty funny. There's a lot more
to it. I just obviously not gonna go over the
whole thing, but it's, uh, it's it's real fun. A
lot of twists and turns a lot of uh like
the you learn about things when Carl does type thing,

(31:38):
so that's kind of fun. You're not like, you're not
like getting exposition outside of Carl's purview, so everything Carl's experiencing,
you're experiencing with him, so which is a fun little thing.
But yeah, it's a it's a good time. I highly
recommend checking that one out. Okay, not not a sponsor,
just a fun book. I decided to try out. It

(31:59):
was a sale and I was like, well as well
try it out, And obviously I got I've already read this,
but but have a hardcover yeah, with a foot book.
So I think that was it for that. Oh, I
have one thing to send you is another thing that
we've talked about previously on on on this show.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
All right, send away that's.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
And you'll know exactly what I'm talking about once you
see it should be arriving.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
Oh my god, you actually got a hold.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
Of them, so we didn't they that's just a foresticker.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Oh okay, I thought it was like a package.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
They didn't have any there at the time we went
to the store, like we were at Old people Fries.
Uh so like it was later. I think we were
there like fu I ish six o'clock at night, actually
Robin six five, so like yeah, so we were like, oh,
we're excited about it. Like I tried this. I don't

(33:09):
know if you tried the golden stracha thredos or not.
They're not bad. They're just a little a little overpowering.
You can't eat a whole lot of them. But it
falls into that thing where like it's probably pretty good
as like a topping for one of these things because
it is siracha. It's not super spicy if you need
enough of them, it's kind of like I said, like overwhelming.
But this the flavors a little bit much after a while,

(33:32):
because it's essentially eating si racha, just not as an extra.
It's like that's the flavor. So it's like a bit
much has that sweetness in the heat blah blah blah.
So we saw that and I was like, well, we
looked over and it didn't have any. But I was like, well,
at least it's we can keep an eye out for it.
But uh, pretty pretty rad. And I was like, I

(33:52):
gotta tell Joe about it because he's the one that
told me about the flaming hot ones.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Yeah, and I still never tried them.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
Yeah, I saw We saw him once at the grocery
store the fries you and I both usually regularly go to,
and I was like, man, I should get him. And
then I was like, but we like just ate dinner
right before we were there, and I was like, I
don't know how well it's going to keep in the refrigerator, right,
I mean I don't want to like sushi sitting out
there is one thing, but like sushi then you take

(34:20):
home and here and eat the next day. I was like, right, maybe.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
Not, because they do at least make them that day.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
There, so it is it is relatively fresh. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
No, I remember just the one time that I saw him,
I was like, oh man, this sounds awesome and they
didn't have any, and just any time after that, it
was just like, I just don't feel like having sushi,
especially limited edition. You know, we're you know, just like
a kitch or whatever. I'm trying to think of the
word for it, and I can't think of it right.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Now, but just gimmicky, gimmicky sushi.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
Yeah, And I just kind of forgot.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
About it after that.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
This would, like you said, this would actually probably a
pretty good if it actually tastes like sarachi, because I
know sarachi is something that some people do put on
their sushi.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
Yeah, And the cool thing with this is it it
goes this is on a spicy tuna roll.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
I was wondering, what, oh there it is right there,
spicy tunley.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
So I was like, Okay, that's pretty rad obviously if
we got it.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
They actually have a sushi cantor at the Old Old.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
Yeah. They have they have the wine and beer bar,
They have the chicken one where you can get like
chicken tenders, chicken wings, uh fries and the fries, potato
wedges and all stuff. And they have this that they have,
the sushi bar. Weird.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
I wouldn't thought that would have very much things.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
And it's always like they like, it's always selling out
of stuff like that one, Like you always see people
buying stuff out of that one too.

Speaker 4 (36:01):
That's good. I was in that that friese. It felt
like it was going out of business.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
But then again, I don't remember what day that was
when it was there.

Speaker 4 (36:09):
Just you know, is the apocalypse happening because this place
feels empty?

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Yeah. Sometimes it's yeah, like there's like certain one of
the reasons we go there a lot of times is
like certain times of the day, like especially later, like
in the not evening well, and then evening it's pretty
fucking slow most of the time too, like that five
or six o'clock time. Like we were kind of surprised
yesterday because it was it was a Saturday, but it
was like super empty. I was like, this is fucking rad. Yeah,

(36:34):
but they they don't really carry anything different really at
that one. They just tend to have a lot more
of certain things. But they're cheese areas. Uh it's pretty
good because they have a Murray's at that one, so they.

Speaker 4 (36:51):
Have a cheese part too that Yeah, I've heard that
the murrays Is is like really that's really weird that
they have all kinds of stuff. And then but I
would consider the better busier fries has a sushi bar
and that's basically it.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
Yeah, and that's why I'm really excited about the new
one their building because it's it's listed as a marketplace.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
I'm actually kind of excited about that too, just because
lately I've been getting off on cactus in order to
get home. Yeah, and it's so much convenient, more convenient
to have the gas station right there in case I
do need gas.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
You know, the hybrid doesn't really use.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Gas a whole lot, but the every three and a
half months you need gas.

Speaker 4 (37:29):
Yeah, Like like this past week, I've been sick for
most of the week, but I've been I've been working
on half a tank or not a quarter of tank
of gas. But because it charged it in the morning
and it, you know, the one charge lasts me all day,
didn't really need to do anything. But then I forgot
to charge it on Thursday and it was just like, okay,

(37:51):
that's a little low.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
Quarter of a tank is a little low to go
work on. Drove over to the to the gas station
at the fries And.

Speaker 4 (38:00):
Because neither my brother or because we live in the
same place, uh use much gas anymore.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
Brother, it definitely doesn't use gas.

Speaker 4 (38:09):
Yeah, right, I had a dollar off hell yeah of gas.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
Yeah, we'll get that two nineteen.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
Gas exactly, That's what it was. I was like, that's sweet.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
Yeah, and then who knows when I'm gonna use gas again?

Speaker 3 (38:23):
Actually, do you know what I'm gonna use gas again?

Speaker 1 (38:25):
But like yeah, well yeah, you know, yeah, I've been
looking at different now that I'm buying a car in
time soon, but I'm looking at different ones. And like
the I was looking at the new cameras, and all
the new Toyotas are all some version of hybrid, either
a plug in hybrid or like just a electric motor assisted,
and like the new camera, the base model is even

(38:49):
a hybrid, which, like I said, all versions of them
are hybrid. Like that's Toyota's thing. Like every version of
anything that comes out as a has got a hybrid
in it. It's not it's a non plugin, but it
gets about twenty three to twenty five miles on electric assisted.
And I was like, I want to be like working,
Like if I use that obviously as my car to

(39:11):
go back and forth to work, like, I'm gonna not
use gas very much. Obviously, it uses I think it
uses gas when you get over a certain speed, but
I think it also if it's like the Prius, it'll
actually it doesn't do that unless you, like are trying
to speed up quite a bit. But otherwise, if you're

(39:32):
like keeping a normal speed, it'll be only electric.

Speaker 4 (39:37):
Yeah, I don't know how that it goes, because it
seems like every vehicle, every electric probably does something very different,
like the cheap literally, like you said, if you don't
if you don't gun it.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
It just electric.

Speaker 4 (39:51):
Yeah, when I hit the freeways sometimes it'll it'll it'll
kick on the gas engine to give me a little
bit extra there. Yeah, but then as soon as I
hit like a cruising speed and usually turns off and
I'm just cruising electric the whole entire way. So it's
really nice to be able to do that. I do
wish the battery was a scotch a bit bigger, but

(40:11):
for where I work, I literally get home and have
used up all battery and maybe just a.

Speaker 2 (40:19):
Couple of miles of gas.

Speaker 4 (40:21):
So for something like that for you, And again I
don't know how. Because my brother's Maverick was a non
plug in electric vehicle, I don't know how that worked
because I think his like all like ran, but it
was kind of more like the gas engine was just

(40:44):
charging the battery, and the battery was driving the truck.
I could be totally wrong on that, but that I
think that's basically the way he explained it to me.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
But yeah, if you got.

Speaker 4 (40:54):
Something like that, Yeah, your gas usage, especially the much.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
Shorter their drive that you have than I do, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (41:03):
Would probably drop down to like a couple a couple
of months before you had to fill up if you
went non plug in.

Speaker 1 (41:09):
Yes, like this one, the basic one. I was just
looking at them on their site says available front wheel
drive or electric on on demand all wheel drive, which
is pretty cool but hasn't estimated EPG of fifty one
miles per gallon is because it has obviously the the
electric assisted motors. Yeah, I'm trying to see your Yeah,

(41:33):
so like where's the Yeah, that's somewhere. I can't where
it's at. But yeah, it's something like you can get,
like I think they said, it's like twenty one to
twenty five miles on just electric before it needs to
switch over to gas to like obviously recharge the.

Speaker 2 (41:53):
And that's what the GEEP is. Yeah, it's on a
full charge.

Speaker 4 (41:57):
I get anywhere from twenty two to twenty five for
I think it just depends on it probably does power
because the actual from the what the rated size of
the battery is on Jeep's website is like seventeen kilo
a lot hours. But when I charge it, I notice
it only charges like twelve, So I think it keeps
that last little bit for conditioning and whatnot. I don't

(42:18):
have any ability to change that. I'm just guessing, like
my brother's truck, the lightning has the ability to just
charge to eighty percent or he can use the whole
hundred percent, yeah, if he wants to. But I'm sure
that they also keep a little bit extra battery in
there for conditioning and whatnot, even past one hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (42:36):
Yeah, it's one hundred percent of usable probably, Like yeah, yeah,
like this is you have we'll stay a number out there.
You have a thousand, right, they give you one hundred
percent of that is probably nine hundred. Eighty percent obviously
is going to be eighty percent of that nine hundred
and then that rest of it is used for conditioning
and for like emergency use.

Speaker 4 (42:57):
Yeah exactly, but yeah, I thoroughly enjoy it. You know,
running on electric is really nice, especially in Arizona. Apparently
Arizona has the lowest cost of electricity in the United States.
So during and I have no idea where SRP or
a PAPS. I can't remember. We're you know, obviously I

(43:21):
think you and I are the same because it's a
city based thing. During the summer, it's twelve or thirteen
cents pequil a lot hour constant throughout the day. During
the winter, though from ten am to three pm it's
three cents per quil a lot hour. Peak does go
up to thirty cents per kil a lot hour, but

(43:42):
peak is.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
Literally, like god, what was it.

Speaker 4 (43:46):
It's sometime in the afternoon obviously when it gets hot.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
I can't remember.

Speaker 4 (43:55):
But yeah, on average a day because I charge in
the mornings, I don't get the ten or the three cents.
That's only during the winter as well. They were out
of winter, so it's just I believe it's just a
flat twelve or thirteen cents for a kilo a lot
hour summer, So one charge for me and one day.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
Is like a buck something.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
Yeah, how much how much does your brothers usually? You know, like,
what do you think his is for it?

Speaker 2 (44:24):
He has a ninety something quilo a lot hour?

Speaker 1 (44:27):
Okay, battery does he does?

Speaker 2 (44:31):
He?

Speaker 1 (44:31):
Not? Not that he runs it depleted, but he doesn't
charge it like every day, right, not every.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
Day, It's it ends up being like every other day.

Speaker 1 (44:38):
Just because he has a longer drive than you.

Speaker 2 (44:39):
It's a way longer drive.

Speaker 4 (44:42):
It's a two hundred and I want to say it's
about two hundred and fifty mile range, So it's fifty
miles to his work and then fifty miles back, so
he can get two trips out of it and then
has to charge it.

Speaker 2 (44:56):
But luckily he only works at his place three times
a week.

Speaker 1 (45:01):
So oh yeah, so he's saving on that too.

Speaker 4 (45:05):
But he's still saving more money than he would if
he had gased, because even in his Maverick he was
filling up every week.

Speaker 1 (45:14):
Yeah, because it's only electric assisted, not and I think
on the Mavericks it's not even I don't think it's
a drive, right. I think it's a slow speed because
most of the Fords. I could be wrong, but most
of the Fords that have electric assisted engines or motors,
there's are they're just for low speeds. They're not for

(45:35):
I don't think they do cruising until you They might
do cruise when you're on the highways, but I know
they drop dropped to just gas when you're doing normal.

Speaker 3 (45:45):
City driving, which would make sense.

Speaker 1 (45:48):
It's basically just to get the car moving when you go, Yeah,
which is what a lot of hybrids are like used
to be, and a lot of them now we're like
the newer ones. They're full on drive motors until you
deplete that recharged charge on them or or if you
have the plug in version, the the stored energy that way.

Speaker 4 (46:11):
So yeah, definitely if you you know, you're looking at
that stuff and not now, but eventually in the future,
they're they're pretty nice.

Speaker 1 (46:19):
I do like it, yeah, because I know, I don't
know if I could go to a fully electric vehicle.

Speaker 4 (46:26):
That was my thought too, Like, and this is something
we'll talk about a little later too.

Speaker 1 (46:32):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (46:32):
I'll be going up to flag Staff in July, and uh,
I like the thought of and you guys as well.

Speaker 2 (46:43):
You guys travel out to California.

Speaker 4 (46:45):
A lot electric is fine if you, especially if you
have one that has more of an extended battery on it.
But learning having a fully electric vehicle, as my brother has,
you learn kind of the limitation that you never thought
of before when you're doing that type of stuff, and
how much you're seriously like Okay, I can get this far,

(47:10):
but I do have to find a.

Speaker 3 (47:12):
Place to charge, yep.

Speaker 1 (47:14):
And you have to give it time because it's not
like filling up gas where you just take ten minutes stantaneous.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
You can do level two or level three or whatever
it is.

Speaker 4 (47:23):
His truck does charging, but it still takes I believe,
like fifteen minutes or so to.

Speaker 2 (47:30):
Charge trucking up to about eighty percent or something like that.

Speaker 4 (47:33):
So yeah, it still is like I seriously have to
think this out, whereas like more of a plug in
hybrid is like, nah, I'm just gonna like when I
go up to flag, I'm just gonna to switch it
to gas, go up to flag, and then I can
switch it to electric or hybrid.

Speaker 2 (47:48):
When you're driving around flag.

Speaker 4 (47:49):
Yeah, you know, I can take my little portable charger
with it, which doesn't do a huge amount of charge
in any small amount of time, but it's at least
something to have. But I don't have that. I don't
have range anxiety. Yeah, with it, I can literally just
pull over to a gas station and get and grab gas.
But like I said, with you guys, especially, I know

(48:11):
you guys do more trips to like San Diego to
Disney and whatnot. You know, having that ability to just
I'm just gonna use gas. It's going to be a
normal trip whatever. And then when you get there you
can charge. You can probably use a hotel charging station.
I don't know how much that would cost, because I

(48:33):
know my brother has seen like fifty sixty cents per
kila a lot hour, So it gets a little It
can get a little expensive when you're charging outside of
your house.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (48:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (48:43):
And I don't know if hotels actually charge you for stuff.
I don't know if it's a guests perk or if
it's something that you still have to pay for.

Speaker 3 (48:49):
Probably have to pay for it, Probably have to pay
for it.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
Yeah, but it in.

Speaker 4 (48:53):
The end, if you're just like gas for long travels
and then electric for around town type stuff.

Speaker 3 (49:01):
Yeah, yeah, it's it's not bad.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
But again, yeah, I was right there with you.

Speaker 4 (49:05):
It's like I kind of you know, especially with the GEP,
I always wanted a more capable of vehicle, something that
if I ever do you know, wanted to pick up
camping and whatnot.

Speaker 2 (49:15):
Again, I have something that can actually do stuff.

Speaker 4 (49:20):
Yeah, and then on the day to day stuff, two
wheel drive electric two work from work uses up the battery,
just plug it in the next day. We got a
level two charger at the house that does two and
a half hours, and my battery is fully charged.

Speaker 3 (49:37):
Yeah, like yeah, yeah, Like I said.

Speaker 4 (49:39):
I haven't plugged, I haven't gotten gas probably and I
think it was two months ago.

Speaker 3 (49:48):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (49:49):
Because the other thing I've been looking at too is
like a RAP four because I know you know your
parents have a RAP four and like the newer ones.
Well they just announced the twenty twenty six ones, which
what I'd be looking at because they are gorgeous.

Speaker 2 (50:03):
Yeah, they actually are pretty nice.

Speaker 1 (50:05):
Like I like the twenty four and the twenty five model,
which I believe is version five, because I think version
five is twenty two, twenty three, twenty four and twenty five,
and then the new one's version six, I believe, and
it's an all new design in tier inexterior, very lexisi
looking but without the shitty grill if you ask me.

(50:27):
But again that's just that's more in my opinion. But
like even that one, like the current model, the twenty
twenty five have four hybrid not plug in but regular
hybrid is I believe. Look and see you pulling up
right here upwards of forty one city thirty eight Highway
with the assisted motors. Nice, so like you're getting quite

(50:51):
a bit of of it on there, and like I know,
they do the same thing. They have the those the
better motors, and like the new ones that are supposed
to have even more they haven't they haven't given us
all the specs yet because it's still going through all
the testing mm hmm. But you can you can do
the the automatic tuning like you can in your jeep
where you select the the motor type and whatever.

Speaker 4 (51:15):
Yeah, so you can be like, no, I want to
just they call it the E saved, so that's just
powering off of gas. Hybrid is obviously hybrid, and then
he save save kiss and then electric.

Speaker 2 (51:32):
I think it's it. It just says electric, so you're
just running off of electric. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (51:39):
Yeah, so I was like okay, cool. So yeah, it
was like I was just like, ah, I would like
to I would like to have that in my life
for for many reasons. One is obviously saved money on
shorter trips and driving around town because I mean a
lot of times when we're going around we don't, like
Paige and I, we don't go more than maybe you know,

(52:04):
fifty miles around town or whatever, right, and that's just
driving from fucking game stops to targets looking for fucking
Pokemon cards, you know, But we don't really go that far.
So they be nice nice, I mean, because her car
gets really good gas mileage. Mine does. Okay, mine's better
like on highway than it is on city I've noticed,

(52:25):
But like it's just it'd be nice to not have
to worry about as much. But again, like I would
love love to have an electric vehicle because like obviously
there's like obviously a lot more things you have to
worry about with gas engines or combustion engines versus electric.
But we're just not the point where like these cars

(52:45):
are are. I know, like I know, I know people
who have fully electric vehicles and they use them for
road trips, but they like they have to plan out
their path very wisely on what Carls Junior they're gonna
stop at to get fuck gas to get electricity.

Speaker 4 (53:03):
A few months ago, my brother was invited out to
I think it was a wedding thing that he was
going to, but it was somewhere out towards past Chandler.
I can't remember exactly where it was, but it was
somewhere past Chandler and it was like, Okay, I had
to find this app that would he found an app

(53:24):
that would like help him plan things out because it's like, Okay,
I start here with the full charge, I'm estimating that
by the time I get there, it'll have like a
thirty percent charge left. Here's all the charging stations that
I can charge at, you know, and what the what
their rates are.

Speaker 2 (53:40):
So if I go here and I do this, and
I do do that, and it's just like, man, it's
a lot of planning.

Speaker 4 (53:45):
Yeah, just to drive down somewhere just across the city.

Speaker 1 (53:51):
Yeah, Like there's definitely not like I'm not gonna buy
a Tesla because I can't CarPlay. That's my biggest thing.

Speaker 2 (53:58):
Oh well that's there's a the reasons why.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
Yeah, but that's like that was my biggest thing before
other things happened.

Speaker 3 (54:03):
Yes, absolutely, we're not gonna go like.

Speaker 1 (54:07):
The quality assurance and all the other shit that's happened.
But like, uh, because I have a friend, my friend
rich he has uh he had a Model Y. Now
he has a Model three. He loves it, but he
doesn't really go anywhere he's like in town all the
time and he charges that home. But I'm like, I
just want to, Like I would love the obviously, the

(54:27):
the cost effectiveness of having it too, like not having
to get gas and worry about gas prices fucking skyrocketing
or having to wait to a dollar off I built
up fries or whatever. Yeah, it's just I was like, ah,
but these newer uh Toyotas have really good and they're

(54:48):
not just like I don't have to get a pre as,
I can get a camera or a rat four because
this this coming model, the twenty twenty six model. Uh,
those ones are all electrified too, so they have every
single one of them has that. I think they're called CVT.
I think I can't remember. They're called there. They're motor

(55:09):
that's in there or that may be the Honda one.
I can't remember. It doesn't matter, but they're all electrified.
They have regular standard hybrids, and they have as well
as the plug in hybrid to get that extra juice
without having to wait for it to or for it
to pull from your alternator slash battery, which obviously is

(55:31):
like so far, Toyota has been proven that that's an
effective way of doing it because they're Prius has been
using that for fucking years now, so as a reason
they're putting it in all their vehicles. I want to say,
I can't remember the deadline, but I think it's like
by twenty twenty seven, I think all Toyota vehicles will

(55:55):
be hybrids, either electric assisted or completely or plug in.
Only have one fully electric vehicle with a BZ four R,
which oddly enough looks a lot like the Soultara from Subaru,
or the Suber looks like the the BZ four R.
I'm not too sure how to say that, because I
think the BZ four UR technically came out first, but

(56:17):
even the new the new subrews, the cross tracks in
the outback look a lot like toyotas like a lot
like Toyota's like I don't know if you're staying a
factory or like what you're doing, but like I was,
it's funny because I was at the store. I actually
think I took a picture of it. A while back.
There was a Subreu Soultara, which is their fully electric

(56:41):
crossover they have, which is the same I think it's
the same platform as the cross track, or is it
the same one, as I know, it might be an outback,
might be the bigger one, so it might be the outback,
can't remember anyways. Uh. And then I saw it was
in front of the store. It was parked in front
of like there nose and nose of a fucking BZ
four R. And I was like, uh, are you the

(57:06):
same fucking car? I was like, what is this because
I was thinking maybe like I was seeing the new
version of a BZ four R I'd never seen. And
as I'm walking, I was like, wait, that's a super
U B that's a Soultera And I was like and
the word and the weirdest part about it is they
were both white, which when they're all white, they have
that the the dark gray almost black trim on both

(57:26):
of them. And I was like the BZ four R
had a little more straight, hard edges on it then
the Super U did. But the super Ustaz I was like,
dang these are it's a clone brother, like you're having
That's the same fucking car, just with a different name
on it. So but yeah, the the I was like

(57:48):
looking at the different uh Suberus. And then they Toyota
announced the new fucking RAF fours and I was like,
you can fucking go suck rocks Subaru. I want one
of these goddamn rab four, if not a camera, I
do like I've been really enjoying driving pages a Soul,
mainly because it's easy to park. I don't know, he's
obviously a RAT four is not gonna be staying in

(58:09):
the park, But man, you can get in some tight
spaces with that fucking soul because that turning radius is zero. Yeah,
I bet it's ridiculous, and it's so tight, it's like
so short, like you can park in any spot without
any problem, even if like some asshole with his fucking
toe hitch is poking into your spot, you can still
park there with no problem. Unlet's start like completely taking
the spot up. Obviously you can't, but right, yeah, but yeah, so,

(58:32):
but yeah, it was pretty pretty interesting. I'm meaning to
ask you about Adam's lightning and how that has been,
how he's like that, and the cost effectiveness or lack
of thereof.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
He likes it.

Speaker 4 (58:46):
He's still saving money on gas rather than electric just
because of how you know, gas being three nineteen right now,
it would have to dip down to like two mid
to do low to somethings for him to actually reverse,
you know, paying more for.

Speaker 2 (59:03):
Electricity per month than on gas.

Speaker 4 (59:08):
But he really really enjoys it. It's a nice vehicle.
It's huge, though. I couldn't do that.

Speaker 1 (59:14):
Yeah, there's I would never I would never get a
full sized truck like that. Or actually that's not even
teking a full size truck. Or that's bigger than a
full sized truck.

Speaker 4 (59:21):
What's an F one fifty lightning? Yeah, so it's I
think it's bigger than.

Speaker 1 (59:25):
A full sized truck because a full size truck is
a basic f like like normal cabin fifty I think
right is considered a full sized truck.

Speaker 4 (59:34):
Yeah, and this is a dual cab, yeah, dual cab. Yeah,
because there's doors to the backyard.

Speaker 1 (59:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (59:41):
Yeah, But he likes it. He enjoys it.

Speaker 4 (59:43):
It's a super super nice interior like that, Like it
is really freaking nice.

Speaker 3 (59:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (59:49):
I have room in it the jeep. I have just
enough room for myself. It suffers from the whole you know.
I put my seat back and we can fit you know,
four people if one person wants to sit.

Speaker 2 (01:00:05):
In the back center.

Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
But that's me for most vehicles, unless I would upgrade
to a giant truck like that, and I don't like
driving things so big or parking things so big.

Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
Yeah, that's a thing. That's one of the things. Like
my Malibu is like super long, so much more than
like the other cars that I've had, and I love it.
I love I love that car, and I would definitely
get another one if if Chevy is better with electric
electric fighting their vehicles. But uh, and that's one reason

(01:00:43):
I want to go to WRAP four a little smaller footprint,
but also like a little higher uh clearance to definitely because.

Speaker 4 (01:00:51):
Another thing weird about the Jeep is that I'm pretty
sure it's about the same length.

Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
As my Kia was. Yeah, but it because you sit
up high or it feels so different.

Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think he was like I often
forget how much higher off the ground I'm sitting in
the in the soul than my Malabuse. I get out
and I missed the floor. I'm like, Jesus Christ, I'm
a faut as fucking thing. I don't even that fucking
high up. But I'm so used to like stepping out
and standing up out of my car wearing hers, I
literally just turn and get out. It's like I'll like

(01:01:23):
miss the like I'm thinking, I'm gonna put my foot
down on the ground. I'm like, oh Jesus an.

Speaker 4 (01:01:27):
The reason why I like the Jeep so much it
is as for being a six foot five person. It
is so nice to just be able to like step
into a vehicle rather than down into a.

Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
Vehicle, crouch to get into a fucking car and then
have like crouch.

Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
Out like it. I almost have to step up into it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
Yeah, that bit's tall. I remember when Mike had his
f one fifty. Yeah, the apartment sized fucking cab that
thing had.

Speaker 4 (01:01:51):
Yeah, exactly, And that's how that's how Adams is. It's
just it's a huge cab. It's really nice. It's just
too big for me.

Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
Yeah, yeah, I'll get you.

Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
But yeah, No, the RAB four looks pretty nice. They don't.
It's not plug in electric. I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:02:07):
There's a there's a plug in hybrid one. Yeah, yeah,
both the new version and the twenty twenty five. I
think they introduced that in twenty twenty four if I remember,
it might have been twenty two three. I'm not too sure.
I don't remember. I didn't follow it too much, but
I know last year they had a plug in hybrid,
they had a regular, and they had a regular, a
regular hybrid, and a non just fully fully gas combustion,

(01:02:32):
and then this past year twenty twenty five, they instituted
again the same things, and then twenty twenty six all
hybrid no matter what. There's a base hybrid, a plug
in hybrid, and then they have a sport one which
is called the gr and then they have a new one,
new one I think they introduced in twenty twenty five
called the Woodland, which is kind of their answer to

(01:02:54):
the outbacks. Are the Subru's Wilderness Edition.

Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
That's the one I was looking at.

Speaker 1 (01:02:59):
Yeah, yeah, it has a slightly different it's larger wheels,
slightly higher lift on it, bigger fenders, and then has
a different engine can tuning for it to believe, and
then aesthetically it has like gold accents to it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:03:21):
But yeah, if you are you thinking of the twenty
twenty fives or twenty twenty six is I think? Are
you on the website? Yeah, it's the twenty five. You
have to go, you have to search for the twenty
twenty six. So they just release it. But again there's
not a whole lot of details on them yet other
than the fact that they're you know, they're coming out,
they haven't given us MPG or or any of that stuff.
But they do have interesting enough though. The twenty twenty six,

(01:03:43):
I'm not saying it's going to use car Play Ultimate,
but it has a fully digital heads up, a fully
digital cluster.

Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
Yeah, I don't think.

Speaker 1 (01:03:56):
I don't think Toyota is signed on for that yet
because I know there's other ones coming, especially since the
WWDC twenty five just happened and they were talking about
some of the car brands. I don't believe Toyota's listed
as one, but that vehicle's not out yet, so they
may not have. Because it's gonna have it's gonna have
wireless car play. It has two wireless key chargers as

(01:04:18):
well as USBC up front two. But it has a
I believe a twelve inch entertainment screen and they have
a it's either an eight or a ten inch digital cluster.

Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
OK.

Speaker 1 (01:04:34):
So not that it's a make or break fucking all.
I'm gonna get it because of that, but it would
be nice if it did have that because that also
well I guess it doesn't have to be, but would
that also mean it would have the car key thing too.

Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
No, it's that's a separate thing.

Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
Is that a separate one has to be Okay, But yeah,
so I But anyways, the wireless car play with with
the wireless charging and it was really nice. But also
the fact that like two wives chargers and to USBC,
I believe they're the I think they're five point eight

(01:05:13):
chargers in those ones, so the fast charging up front.
So but yeah, I thought that was pretty cool. Uh,
because I don't want to buy a car doesn't have
car Play in it. And that's the reason I didn't
get the camera when I bought my Corolla or my
my my Malibu, because that camera I was looking at

(01:05:33):
didn't have car Play, which I thought was bizarre. But
then that was the timeframe where like you could get
a car with the Toyota Entertainment infotainment system in it,
and you had to get one that had car Play.
I think, uh yeah, but I was like, I want
car Play.

Speaker 4 (01:05:51):
Yeah, it's it's so nice, so convenient, and I'm looking
forward to the update coming later this year.

Speaker 1 (01:05:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:05:58):
I do like the fact that even though they did
do they announced the Ultra CarPlay Ultra.

Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
Which does extend into the DAT into the dash and all.

Speaker 4 (01:06:08):
Of the digital stuff, which is pretty which is really
cool that they didn't just go with the new stuff,
being like, Okay, that's just for Ultra, here's just a basic.

Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
Update for the rest of us.

Speaker 1 (01:06:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:06:19):
Now, the new car play looks nice.

Speaker 4 (01:06:22):
Will allow you to do widgets and whatnot, which may
even help with integration into the vehicle. I doubt like
the GEEP will get any significant like integrations, but.

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
Maybe with the help of like.

Speaker 4 (01:06:37):
Third party apps, you could get some integrations. Not that
I need anything else, but I just think it's cool
that you're now opening it the ecosystem up to third
party apps to be able to like, hey, here's a
widget for something that you might actually be interested in.

Speaker 1 (01:06:55):
Yeah. The one thing though, uh oh interesting, Well, I
doom might be able to get it. Apparently Ford signed on.

Speaker 4 (01:07:07):
Yeah, so who knows if they they backwards compatibility, if
there's anything that they need to update for it.

Speaker 1 (01:07:13):
Yeah. What I was gonna say is, uh, the one
I don't really like. The instrument panel is cool because
you can put your like map up there if you're
in your driving stone to keep looking over here, h
and heads up displays blah. Blah blah. I like the
fact that it includes your climate control stuff into it,
so you're not having to worry about just buttons, but
you can see it on the display and stuff, which

(01:07:34):
is pretty cool. But you get more tuning with it,
I guess two with some of those.

Speaker 2 (01:07:38):
Ones, and I don't mind.

Speaker 4 (01:07:41):
I don't mind the buttons and the cheap for doing
any type of climate control. And actually I like the
way the Jeep handles climate control because I can, and
that's probably just the way climate control is handled nowadays
in newer vehicle. I'm just used to the old days
where it's, you know, just a dial that you set,
and that's just what it is is with the Jeep.

(01:08:01):
You can set you know what temperature you want it at,
and I haven't set to seventy, I think, is what
it's set at right now, and then it just dials
up the cooling or fan as needed to try and
reach that temperature. And so I'm perfectly fine with that.
I don't need to adjust anything whatever. But I would

(01:08:25):
be more interested in, like an app to track charging
or whatnot, because it's somewhat inconvenient when you have two vehicles.

Speaker 2 (01:08:38):
That charge, and I don't know how my brother does it.

Speaker 4 (01:08:40):
I think he has like actual real tracking of like
how much you how much he charges on his vehicle,
and then just kind of probably estimates how much I.

Speaker 3 (01:08:49):
Use a month on mine.

Speaker 4 (01:08:51):
Because there's no real accurate way to track that for
me unless I pay for Jeeps ten dollar or a
month service, which is apparently garbage.

Speaker 2 (01:09:02):
I'm not gonna do that.

Speaker 3 (01:09:04):
Classic classic, indeed.

Speaker 1 (01:09:09):
Classic. There's no trying to see if there's an updated list,
but there just says the quick Google search just says
obviously Acid Martin is on there because they showed that
off Land Rover, Lincoln, Audi, Volvo, Honda, Nissan, Ford, Porsche, Jaguar, Accura, Polestar, Oh, Polestar,
they're getting out, Oh fuck you, Tesla, Infinity, Ronault, Honda, Hondai, Kia,

(01:09:34):
and Genesis. We'll all be getting ultra support. Nice. But yeah,
So anyways, that's it.

Speaker 3 (01:09:46):
Yeah cool.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
I guess we'll wrap it up there, unless Joe has
anything else to add. Nope, okay, well, uh uh that's
it for this week's episode. It comes afterally we've been
joke I have and Cody and as usual, you fuckers
just came naturally.

Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
Bye.

Speaker 1 (01:10:04):
I almost forgot how to do it,
