Speaker 1 (00:00):
And you.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
Every time I've heard more about this game, it's just
gotten more and more weird.

Speaker 3 (00:04):
Yeah, dude, it's like it's bro.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
And again it's Todeo Kajima. He does weird games. He
does weird stuff. But like it just seems just gets
more and more weird.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Like and not having never have played the first one
and never probably will play the first one or the
second game, because like those games, it's just like, I
don't know, it doesn't seem like my cup of tea,
even though this one's supposed to have more weapons and
action it but I'm like, I don't really care because
then if like I really cared, I want to play
the first one and like, yeah, nah, I'm good things though, right,

(00:44):
But yeah, I just I kept seeing stuff talk about
like okay, yeah, they're you know, they're they're promoting or whatever,
like maybe getting.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Ready to promote it. There.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
You know it's gonna come out in a couple of months. Here,
you know, we're seeing more trailers this and that.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Yeah, And then I saw I think it was games
Game Spot or igm's like hey, here's how to find this,
and I was like, wait, what the fuck? And I clicked.
I was like is this game out?

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:06):
What the fuck? Man? Yeah? So I was like, okay,
all right, that's fucking cool. I guess great. Uh coadeem
Adeo Kajima had to add his own Easter Eggs to

(01:28):
Death Stranding too, the.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Twenty six So it's been out for three days? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Oh yeah, because I was, I was gonna say it
came out Tuesday. That would have been no, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,
Thursday day right. I was like, wait, today is the
twenty ninth. That's not right, not right at all, not
at all, buddy, new Bubble Bubble game. Oh John, I

(02:00):
don't know if you if you saw that or not.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
I did. I was gonna leave it for the next
recording right now.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
So I did a thing.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
So do you want to explain the thing in the background.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
To me that no one else can see with you exactly?

Speaker 1 (02:20):
So?

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Whatever one what what everyone is seeing or not seeing
that Joe is seeing?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Is I bought a switch to Yes, I see that.
I wasn't gonna buy a I'm surprised you were able
to get one. So not only did I get one, Joe,
but I don't know if you can see it in
the distance, which version that.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Is it's the Mario Kart version.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
It is the Mario Kart World version.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Yeah, and uh and apparently it's the good box version.
I literally saw.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
People online arguing earlier because there's two different versions of Yes,
the one with the actual box art and then the
one with just a sticker on it, and apparently like,
well they're the same thing. One of them, which I
think is the one that you have. It's the one
that has an auto download for the game, or the
other one just comes with a code for the game.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yeah. So basically what happened was Nintendo didn't make enough
of these. So what they did is for certain retailers,
they believe Game Stop was one of them, they did
a version of it where they have inserts that were
slid into the boxes, and apparently not all of them
have them, or they were stolen, whichever one. Because what
happened was if the regular Nintendo switched to Box, which

(03:30):
does not include this section. For the visual people out there,
I just yeah, and it says full game download and
then has it in like French and Spanish, which I
thought was very odd, but I guess then you don't
need to have it. Yeah, you don't need to have
other because I think this is the one for English

(03:52):
Ish speak speaking people. But yeah, so the auto download,
I never really read into it because I wasn't intending
to get one, especially one with the Mario Kart World,
So it did take me a minute to figure out
how to do it. And I was I I was
so terrified because like from what I heard is people

(04:14):
were like not like they're like, oh, yeah, I think
it was horseshit because like the way this box opens,
there's no way they can just slide these those game
cards in because it's completely sealed all the way around.
The cavity is completely closed off, like the sides, So
like they were definitely something that were opened, those were
put in. Yes, they could have missed some, but I

(04:34):
don't think they would have been stolen unless they were
like open open. But the one thing that is bizarre
to me, Joe, there is no sticker to steal these boxes,
really nothing whatsoever. This is just a poll tab good
good audio that literally pops out. Yeah, and there's no

(04:55):
no labels. Yeah dude, So I was like, oh, they
can definitely get stolen. But you will notice though that
they're not factory sealed, but they would have to be
if they're slipped in. Yeah, that's the thing. I was like,
oh shit, but yeah, so right, here is the actual thing.
I don't know if you can see it very well,
but I can see it.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
So that's the instructions how to set it up. But
in the bottom corner here is the actual download. So
there's no code to put in. It's an auto download.
So what they don't tell you in any instructions because
the inside of this box is the same that's inside
the other box. Okay again, no insert Right, So I
was thinking, Okay, I remember hearing about this, but I

(05:39):
don't remember how. I don't remember reading or hearing about
how it's done. Very simple set it up. Part of
that setup is getting on the internet right, doing your updates.
Once you get in and you're signed into your account.
You have to be signed into your account even to
start the console up, which apparently is how they've been
bricking Calm for people who've been reselling them, because you

(06:04):
go to sign in and it's not the same account
that bought it. So anyways, so you sign in during setup,
you do your data transfer, which everyone made it sound
like it was a fucking end all be all process
of like, make sure you do this ahead of time,
because like you'll never be able to do it again.
You can, you just have to fully factor you set
your console because the data transfer has to be done
in the setup because it takes settings from the og

(06:27):
switch or well whatever switch you're using, og switch, oh
led switchers switch light and takes those settings and dumps
it into this. So if you do dark mode, it
puts it in dark mode. If you have like multiple profiles,
it puts them in there. Then it also transfers content
from the unit that are like specific, So there are games.
I only own one game that's specific to a console,

(06:49):
and that's Animal Crossing, because you can't have your save
on another console, even if you because I have physical media,
but it saves it because it uses the console's date
and time location for certain things, so you can't move
it from console to console without having it. And you
can only do it so many times, not like permanently,
just so many times in a row, so that stuff

(07:12):
gets transferred over in that and it is fucking lightning fast.
It is like it chopped. It took me and I
don't have a whole lot saved on it. Other than
like the game save data that's not on the carts
was like maybe five minutes and maybe not even that long,
I should say, so that was pretty interesting. But yeah,

(07:36):
so like the that was pretty cool. But yeah, you
do that that and then once you get into the console,
you literally just go to the store and it instantly
pops up saying, hey, do you want to download this?
Is this the console? You want to put this on?

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (07:50):
And I'm like yes, And it does a new thing
which I didn't again didn't know about because I did
not do enough research on this before I fucking bought it.
They're doing anything called virtual cards, which are essentially just
partitions on the SSD that will allow the console to

(08:13):
save all the data to that partition versus spreading it
up through the console. And I'm pretty sure that partiser
can grow because SSDs don't have a problem with like
like a normal hard drive do where partitions are. It's
more static than anything else. But one of the things
they do tell you to do is like if you

(08:33):
before you start anything, they want you to put a
memory card in. If you have one, they're like, hey,
like doing stuff, They're like, hey, do you have one
of these yeah, let's do this because they think they
have to form at them, but then they have to
like move like certain like I think they give the
option to move data to it. But I did not
buy a memory card because I'm like whatever. So that

(08:56):
was cool. But yeah, it was very interesting because it
was like the first like definitely big change they made
to the console. It was that, but it was it
was just boom downloaded. Uh, and it was. It was
pretty rad but it was fairly quick too, Like it
was the download was pretty pretty pretty fast. It was

(09:16):
doing other updates to games that I haven't played in
a while, so it was like, hey, we have updates
for these games like Ship, Okay, we have to update them.
I will play this later. I was gonna play later
in the page. Went to work and I wanted we
wanted to play the first time together, so I just waited,
which was killing me. Yeah uh literally, I mean I

(09:37):
could have played another game on it, like I have Kurby.
It could have played Kirby, but I was like, I
was wait. But the consoles very quick as we expected.
They didn't really change the OS almost at all, other
than the menu on the bottom has a couple of
extra options the virtual cart is one of them, and

(09:58):
then it has a Nintendo Online one, which is the upfront.
I didn't know. I didn't look to see if you
can reorganize that bottom menu. But for the most part,
it's still just a much snappier version of the OS,
but it virtually plays or interacts the same way as
the switch og switch did. I did notice though, instead

(10:25):
of having to hit this. I don't know how much
you remember this on your usage of your switch. When
you turn it on, you're viewed with the like the
little banner on the side and the little main screens
is pressed the home button and you have to press
the button three times. That's actually gone away by default,
because I read I heard a guy talk about it, like, hey,
if you want to get this, if you want to

(10:46):
get rid of this having to hit it three times,
this is the setting you have to go to. Mine
was already that way. You literally just hit any button
and it just launches the system. Don't know if that
was like a day one update they changed or something
now that I had it a week out, a week
or so after two weeks or whatever it is after
it came out. So yeah, so the whole thing was was, Uh,

(11:08):
Paige and I were walking around the mall the other day. Okay,
came what day? It was? What day? Did I buy this?
About this? On Wednesday? Yeah, so we're walking around the
mall on Tuesday. I think it was. Yeah, I think so.

(11:28):
I can probably look it up, but I'm not going to.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Actually the receipt is right there. But anyways, I was
walking around and I got notification on I watched as
it was dying because my battery sucks on my Apple Watch. Uh,
and he's replaced, but I just don't want to you because.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Right, it still works for you now, but wait until
it basically freaking.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Dies, yeah, which the other day I thought it was
going to. But that's a different story. I can tell
you later. But so we're walking around and I get notication.
I looked at my watch real quick to see what
the notification, and it was from best Buy and it said, hey,
are you still thinking about this? Because I had looked
it up on on dot com and it says restock

(12:15):
available okay, and I was like, wait, I could have swore.
The image I see on here makes it look like
it's a switch mm hm. So I pulled up my phone.
I was like hold on, like I literally get out
of the way, like of the walking path, and so
I was like hold on. So I pull it up
and it's like, hey, we got restocks and I was like, yeah,

(12:36):
but you were not selling them online, right, So how
do you have restocks? I went on there, sure enough,
it's not it says sold out, still not available online,
not availble in stores. What the fuck is going on? Right?
Then a little while later, Page gets a notification from
Walmart and they're like, hey, restocks are available to order online. Okay,

(12:59):
So she pulls it up and she sure enough she
can add one to her cart.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
I was like what the fuck? I was like, no,
don't worry about it. We'll just wait. It's not like
we're not in dire need of the switch to right now. Plus,
there's like one game until Donkey Kong comes out that
we're gonna play, and it's Mario Kart, and I was like,
I'd rather wait to see if we can get a
Mario Karte bundle save a little bit of money, yeah,
save a little you know, thirty bucks. So I was like,

(13:23):
all right, well let's wait, Like, are you sure? I
was like yeah, I just don't worry about it. Plus
I can put on my best By card and not
have to worry about it. Right, So she's like all
right fine. She looked at me and she's like all
right fine. I was like, just no, don't work about it.
So then we're walking around and I get a nut
of notification. It's like hey, and it wasn't this time
to like restock. It's like hey, like this is stealing

(13:46):
your cart. But I think it's because like, are not
your car. This is we're still thinking about this because
like it's there. I was like, okay, whatever. So I
looked at it and sure enough, it's like it was
the this time was the Mario Kart version. I was like, okay,
well whatever, I can't really buy it. So then I
was like all right whatever. So we're walking, we've finished
our day. The next morning, I go to work and
I was like, I wonder what that meant. So I
pulled it up right, thinking, you know, it's still not

(14:07):
available online, so my god. Whatever. So I pull up
in this in the store and I looked at him
and I was like, uh, what why does it say
we have these in stock?

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
So I walk in the back sure enough, right there.
So I bought one and there is yeah, so it is.
So I was like, well, that seems fortuitous because I
literally said the page, I'm gonna wait until I can
get it at best Buy, and I'm gonna wait till
I get the Mario Kart version.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Because I'm surprised that you were able to wait one one.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
And they came in on that truck that night. But
because they don't check the truck in until it's done
the store, I guess he's closed. Yeah, so, uh what.
I It's funny because I look up and said we
had two. There was two in the surprise location. One
was unavailable and it was in PRC okay the other one,

(15:08):
and I didn't look at the regular one because I
I just randomly looked up this one first and I
was like there and I was like, I went over.
I was like, hey, like, is this available to get
because it's sitting on the count in the back, and
they're like yeah. I'm like, I'm gonna buy this. Yeah,
So I was like yeah, I was like all right,
So I went, I went up front and I bought it.
I was like all right, And luckily in the morning
was like just old people, so no one knew like

(15:30):
what was going on. But I was like, all right,
well this is mine now. So I bought it and
that was it. But yeah, and I didn't even check
to see what the other like how many of the
regular switches we got where if we even got them,
I'm not even too sure, right, And I didn't check
any other stores. I was like two, like flabbergases. It
was like right here in front of me, like like
the fates were looking down on me and saying, hey, bro,

(15:52):
this is your chance to get the switch if you
want one. And I was like I do want one,
but like not like dire need for one. And then
I was like, but hey, it's the Mario cart I
was like, well now I have to buy it, right.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
You put that into the world of like, oh, I
won't get until I can get the Mario Kart version,
and the world was.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Like all right, They're like, hey, around and find out
but get it. Like you remember that time you said
you're gonna get it if you find one of these
mm hmm. I was like, well ship.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
The hardest part was like I had to wait till
the store opened. I was like, okay, right, so I
went like, did some work and then came back rise
we were opening. I was like, all right, not out
there yet because they don't put them out on the
floor because they can't, like they just like they're gonna
put them like in the lock up cage. But I
was like nah nah, And there was like.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
That I'll save you guys some time.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
Yeah, And there was nobody like, there's not a line
waiting for people. So I was like, okay, it was good.
Then I cleared it with with everybody to make sure
it was okay to get and they're like, yeah, it's fine.
I was like, all right, mine done.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Yeah, I'm happy for you.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
So as of this nit point right now, have you
played any games?

Speaker 3 (17:05):
I have played Maricott World quite a bit, played the
last few nights.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
It's how's your impression of that?

Speaker 3 (17:13):
It's so well done. We've only been We started with
the fifty ccs because I was not going to jump
ahead because I want to learn the new mechanics of
the game, which one of them I just don't really
understand too well, which is the wall writing thing. Yeah,
I finally figured out.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
A few streamers talk about it and some of them
are like, I still don't understand the wall writing.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
Yeah, like I figured out how to do it, but
it's like you have to have the right circumstances that
you have to have a ramp close enough to a
wall where you can jump, but you have to jump
directly at the wall.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
I've seen somewhere they're parachuting, Like there's a challenge somewhere
in the open world that someone they ramp off of something,
then parachute and then like have to like get close
to the wall.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
Then suddenly it just like sticks to the wall for
like a.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Split second, and then you come off of it and
have to it again on another side, and it's just
like Okay, that seems like the guy doing it has
been trying to do it for a while, so it
must be something that is a little bit complicated to do.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Yeah, there's one that I don't know if I'll ever
get as one of those open world challenges, because like
you have to wall ride on a canyon wall to
another canyon wall, but it's not opposite you, it's in
front of you. And I'm like, I don't I don't
know how to do this because I did one where

(18:34):
you make this It was called uh, what was it
try the unfinished would it say unfinished short cut? I
think it was. So you hit the little power block
thing which I'll get to you in a minute how
that works, and it starts the event and you go
and there's a ramp that goes off and you you

(18:56):
you fly off of it, maybe the one he was
thought he was doing. You fly and you land on
this little platform. You have very little time to then
jump off that platform onto a wall and then hit
a ring that then launches you again. And then you
do the same thing, but it's the other side. And
then once you jump off that, you go through a ring.
It gives you the flying cabilities and you flow down

(19:17):
to the goal and you only have certain time to
do it, and they gave you every time you go
through the ring, it gives you a couple extra seconds
or whatever. And I was like I kept not getting
it because like I would not either land it properly
to get to it or miss the jump and like
not get on there. It was so weird, and like
I finally got it, and I was like, I still

(19:38):
don't understand those works. And I even did like another
challenge where you're racing down an area backwards down a
race area you normally race up through, and uh, there's
a section you have an option to wall right, you
don't need to. But I was like, oh, I'm gonna
do this challenge anyways, and this isn't even slowing me down.

(19:58):
But I just don't get it because like you get
on the wall and you instantly started going down, but
then the next area and that it could be because
we're going down versus up this ramped area. But when
you jump off, there's nothing to jump on, but there
is a platform you can land on top of that
you can jump off of. But I'm like.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
The timing there.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Is yeah, Like I don't understand this at all, but whatever.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Yeah, there's a Obviously I've been watching a few streamers
play this with a lot of their friends and whatnot,
and it looks really fun. One of the cooler modes
that they added was the limit or what they call it.
It's the elimination one. It's where you have like twenty
four characters all on there.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
Oh yeah, and.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
I think it's like a three three quote unquote lap race,
but it's like three maps together and you have certain
checkpoints where if you're not within so many where if
you're not within a certain placement, you're eliminated from it. Yeah,
and it just knocks it down to like four people

(21:03):
at the very end. So it's an interesting mode to
see when you have that many people, it's fucking chaos,
which pits me off though, like just watching, just watching
the chaos happen for someone else streaming it gives me anxiety.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
Yeah, there's a few of a race, is like, so
when you first start off, I think there's twenty four
racers I think is what it is. Yeah, And of
course when you first start, you're always last and you
have to make your way to the front. And fifty
ccs is not that fucking hard to do. Like if
you don't get first in every race on a fifty

(21:41):
cc something's wrong with your skill. Like you can use
any cart for the most part and be fine, Like
you don't have to be like find the best of
the best.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
You're not min maxing everything.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Yeah. But yeah, so like they go through in the
maps for some of the fucking the tracks are just wild,
like easily fall off either side of it, like bump
into stuff, like all sorts of crazy shit. But yeah,
it's pretty it's pretty fun. The races are pretty cool
because you go for every Every cup is four races,

(22:17):
but you literally go from one to the other, and
when you endo race, you race between the two. And
those ones are pretty chaotic. Basically drive on the open
world and like they kind of restrict you where you
can go in the open world on them, but like
you can't just like go on a tangent through the
open world, which is good because you you'd see something

(22:38):
shiny and go, oh, that's over here, Like I think
I'd go this way. Nah, you shouldn't go that way.
It's a completely different direction. But there's track, like the
cross traffic's pretty gnardly in it, and like there's like cars,
Like there's ones you can like ramp off and fly
off of or just jump off of, and there's like
grinding ones. Then there's like enemy ones like throwing bombs
or spike balls at you while you're driving. Some areas

(23:01):
just randomly generate snowballs. Other ones have like item rain
where like really drain rains, item boxes like everywhere, Yeah,
there's a coin rain, all sorts of crazy ass shit.
But the open world's cool because like it's literally the
whole continent, right and with the different biomes they have whatever,

(23:22):
and you can jump from either one. You can just
like you open the map and like select this one
and hit free rome and you just jump to that one.
And then there's certain things you do in the open
world that you can't do obviously in the rate in
the races is explore the areas, and they're completely flushed
out with like areas and like there's really not like
a there's an out of bounds in a way, but
like there's not like a like if you're like if

(23:43):
the area you're in it is like high up. If
you fall down, there's an instantly teleported backup, which it
does cost you three coins by the way, Yeah, assholes.
But there's like a lot of areas that are like
that are there's ground underneath them that you can drive on,
but there's also surrounded by water, so you can like
go and like jet ski around on that and the's

(24:03):
stuff in there. But there's like things that there's challenges
in every area and then the open world in between areas,
and then there's like hidden stuff, Like there's these little
plates that you have to drive over the like they
look like the question mark blocks, but they're just a
flat plate panel on the ground, and then then each
one of the each area has a certain amount of

(24:24):
those that you have to find. I don't know what
you get if you unknock them all because I haven't
been We'll find all of them in every area, but
I haven't been to every area yet in the open world,
because you get pretty distracted. You see a challenge thing
and you're like, oh, over there, or you see a
peach medallion somewhere, you're like, we I'm gonna go get that,
Like find out how to get up on the side
of a cliff that you shouldn't be able to get on,

(24:45):
or drop down from higher up or whatever. There's other
ones that like I don't know how to get there. Yeah, right,
because there's this one where like there's a uh, two
buildings excuse to be across the streets, across the street
from each other. One has a stack of coins, no
one has a peach medallion, but I don't see a

(25:05):
ramp on either side of either of them to get
to it. And I found one was like these big
fence you can grind on, but you have to find
a way up onto them, and there's a ramp that
you can use to get to it. That's pretty conven.
The other side, I'm like, oh, there's more rails, it's
gonna be it. And it's like they're not even close
because the last rail is like so far away that
there's no way you can make that jump. And I

(25:27):
was like, that's for another date if I even go
that far, because that seems ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
Good.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
Oh yeah, something in order to get up there.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
All in all, I've been seeing people having fun with it.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
It's the only game that I've been seeing people play
because it's basically the only game that's available for it.
I mean, obviously I think you can play previous games
on it.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
But yeah, it's the only new, new game, new game. Yeah,
it's because they have like Cyberpunk on their street five
or six even it's not out yet, right, No, they're
all out they launched. Oh yeah, but again they're they're
games that you've could have already played on other consoles. Yeah,

(26:12):
and like if the Switch is your main again, if
you Switch is your main console, I pray for your soul. No,
don't get wrong, but it's like when did cyer Funk
twenty seven twenty seventy seven come out.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
That honestly, was was around COVID twenty nineteen, right, I
remember playing it when I got COVID, which was that
was January? So I think it came out twenty nineteen, twentyeighteen,
let's see.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
And I waited. I didn't buy it day one. I
got it some time after Christmas twenty twenty, twenty twenty.
So it did come out twenty twenty.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Yeah, okay, I think it was originally supposed to be
twenty nineteen, but I got delayed. Yeah, many times.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
But so when did it come out twenty twenty twenty twenty?

Speaker 3 (27:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (27:06):
But I mean what day?

Speaker 3 (27:07):
So I was trying to find out I clicked on
the wrong button. Does it say on here published it?

Speaker 1 (27:14):
So it must have come out.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
December December tenth, twenty, Yeah, December.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
Tenth of twenty twenty. I bought it a few weeks
later then got go.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
So the twenty twenty one when.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
I got COVID, okay, January, oh yeah, now I remember
it was January first, or is the first week of
January it got COVID because I also watched other stuff
happen that week.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
No, we won't talk about it anyway.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
And then June fifth, was when it came out on
the the switch to of this year obviously, and then
apparently there's a listing from mac os for twenty twenty five,
but whatever, yes, yep, yeah, so like there's that. There's
like both they re released both the Zelda games again
because there's a bunch of rehash shit, and then they

(28:00):
have like the upgrade you can get for like the
newest Mario Party Jamboree. There's a new added addition to
it and all it does is add like a game
show type thing to it.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
Do you have to pay for it?

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Because I know there was that that stipulation of like
some of the old games will will automatically transfer over
and get the like a free upgrade to the switch to,
and then there will be some that will they are
porting over, but you will have to pay for the
upgraded version to run on it.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
I don't I need to look up Kirby because that's
the newest game we bought. Let's see if we can
do Kirby Kirby type. There we go, Kirby Forgotten Lands

(28:57):
O g one og Og. But the switch version a
really fun game. By the way, if you if you
play Kirby game, if you like platformers, pretty fun game
like platformers.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
I think I've seen some clips of the Kirby game
and it looks like a straight Kirby game that would
be fun to play.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
Lost Battles are pretty fun too. I'm trying to see
if there's a listing on their page for the upgrade
there's a demo you can get? Uh, I do not see.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
I'm trying to see if there's a.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
M m m hm hmm.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
Do not see it there listed as a thing more
like it? Yeah, recently viewed, recently viewed what the fuck?
Oh hello, Kitty a Venture Island, which is wild. That's
the name of the game, and that's the name that
fucking uh South Park called it. Really Yeah? On you know,

(30:14):
switch to compatibility information supported game behavior is consistent with
Nintendo switch That's the only thing that says on the
switch to on the page for Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
But I know the the one thing that makes me
mad if you click on the switch to version you have,

(30:39):
it's called Kirby the Forgotten Land Nintendo switch to edition
plus Star Crossed World, which is a new playable thing
where they basically redo like a new thing. But on
the same maps, like another cataclysm happens or some shit. Okay,
but that doesn't come out until August, so like I

(31:02):
know that that updates not available yet for it, which
I thought was wild.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
It's like bro, a advertising this as something that's in box,
but it's actually not in box.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
Yeah, like A, this game is already out. It's been
out since twenty twenty two. Uh, you're releasing a new
Nintendo switched to version of it, but you're not launching
it with the console. Yeah, you're launching it more than
two months afterwards. And it's like, bro, for for what
this new playable thing that you like?

Speaker 1 (31:33):
You?

Speaker 3 (31:33):
Why? Why does the Nintendo always not have the best
first party support for consoles when they come out?

Speaker 1 (31:40):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
And if it is a first party game, it's a
rehash of a game that came out on the console beforehand.
It's like, dude, what the fuck? Man, come on, Nintendo,
be fucking better about this.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
I think weird.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
I'm looking at the game store at on Nintendo's web
site and it says the Caribbean the Forgotten Land. I'm
guessing just the regular switch version is sixty bucks. But
Curby in the Forgotten Land for the Nintendo Switch too,
is pre order for twenty dollars.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
It's gotta be the upgrade That's what I'm wondering.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Oh, yep, there it is when you click on it.
The upgrade pack is twenty bucks.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
Yeah, yep. Oh my god, what is happening?

Speaker 2 (32:27):
Why did you just jumped straight to the I went,
I clicked on the thing to get into it, and
it just jumped straight to the the picture thing where
you can just scroll through all the pictures.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
So if I select a Nintendo Switch to eighty bucks yep, yeah,
available eight twenty eight to twenty five.

Speaker 2 (32:50):
But I can pre order the upgrade pack right now,
I can't pre order the Nintendo Switch two games.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
Yeah weird anyway.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
Yeah, so that so what's dumb about that is that
the base game is sixty bucks yep for Switch. If
you want to upgrade it, it's twenty bucks. That literally
puts it at eighty dollars for the game, yeah, which
is what you would buy it, Which is what you
would spend if you bought it straight right out.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
Yeah. So it's not even like a good like you
don't get to save any money buy It's like, no,
you're gonna get your eighty bucks no matter what. If
you want this new content exactly, I was like, or.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
New content, and I wonder, like, do you need it?

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Like Ken, I mean, I guess you'll find out if
if you can play Kirby without the pack.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
It says you can because if you look okay, yeah,
if you look at the main one, it says compatible
to switch to. Because if the games aren't compatible, it
shows you on the landing page on Nintendo, which is
where they tell you to go if you want to out.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
So I guess that's good.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
And then in this case, you're kind of just paying
an extra twenty bucks for DLC, which I guess it
just depends on whether the DLC is worth twenty bucks.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
Yeah, that's the main thing.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
But at the same time, this is going to be
the cost of the game, and Nintendo doesn't do discounts
anymore for any of their games.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
No, no, which is dumb.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Whatever.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
The congrats on getting that looks funny. I didn't didn't
think that you really were looking for it, but.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
I wasn't wasn't really looking for it other than the
fact that every time I watched them show off more
of Donkey Kong Bonanza I really want that game.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Yeah, And I was like, what does this definitely look
look like it could be fun, especially with the ability
to have destructions, smash the open world, change Donkey Kong
and change into different characters and do different types of destruction.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
Yeah, so it definitely does look fun.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
And then the I haven't resubscribed to Nintendo Online, but
there are a bunch of games on there now that
I'm like, oh, that might be worth the thirty dollars
a year or whatever it is.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
It'd be nice if we were thirty dollars a year.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
It's not very expensive. Where is it's that's news. I
don't care about the well, I do because the games
are on there. But they added a bunch of Game
Boy games, which is pretty rad. But they have a
bunch of uh like Nintendo sixty four games cool and

(35:50):
game Cube games sotty cool. Where is the Nintendo Switch Online?

Speaker 2 (35:56):
There?

Speaker 3 (35:56):
It is, Let's see, it's on here. It's gotta give
me a price on here somewhere. Also, you get Nintendo
game music. That's part of your description too.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
It should be available just on YouTube, but Nintendo locks
it away.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
Yeah, so if you buy the regular one nintdo Switch Online.
It's twenty bucks a year. You get on one account,
which is pretty normal. You get the Tendant Entertainment System
Classic games, you get Super Nintendo, you get game Boy,
you get Nintendo Music, you get game Chat Exclusive and

(36:39):
Switch too. Obviously cloud data and special offers, they're all.
I think those ones are just across the board. And
then if you have the Switch to you get you
have to do the Premium one, which is forty nine
nine a year. Then you get the GameCube games, the
Nintendo sixty four games, and the game Boy Dance games.

(37:02):
But then excuse me, Jimney Christmas, you get the Legend
Isel the Tears of the Kingdom and legend is Eld
the Breath of the Wild. Nintendo to Switch Edition upgrade
packs as part of it. Okay, I mean so that saves.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
You People own those games, so it does save you
some money.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
Yeah, yep. And I don't know what the upgrade addition
of those do. I'd have to look and see what
those are, but I think they're just I.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Know that they are like texture well maybe not just
texture pack, but they upgraded so that it looks better
in full HD stuff. Yeah, and it can take better
usage of the Hardware.

Speaker 3 (37:50):
So then you also get the Mario Kart eight Booster
Course Pass, which adds a bunch of new courses to
Mario Kart eight, which doesn't matter because I don't own
Mario Kart eight. Wait do I own Mario eight? I
might own Mario Curty.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
What was the latter, im Marioccardi was the previous Mario carp.

Speaker 3 (38:08):
I think I bought that one back in the day
when it first came out, because we were playing at Microsoft.
We were playing it. You get the Animal Crossing New Horizons,
Happy Home Paradise, don't really care because that looked really stupid.
You get the Splatoon two Octo expansion whatever. But the
big one, Joe, is you get Sega Genesis Games. Yeah, buddy,

(38:34):
get your Sonic on Brady, so you get let's see
if they list all the games here, Sonic, the Hedgehog two,
Streets of Rage two Echo, the Dolphin Dope, Castlevania Bloodlines,
which I believe I played a ship out of back
in the day, Golden Axe Strider, which is fucking rad.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
I haven't played Strider in a long time.

Speaker 3 (39:00):
Contra hard Ops, which I don't know if I've actually
played that one or not.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
I don't think I have either.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
You get Doctor Robotanik's mean Bean Machine, which sounds gross.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
Believe is that the pinball? No, that's the like Doctor
Mario one.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
I think maybe I don't know. Then you have Gunstar Heroes. Uh,
but then you get a ton of other games. The
real question though, is it's Altered Beast on here? Oh,
it is Altered Beasts on here? Okay, okay, So yeah,
I mean there's a ton of games on here, Streets

(39:35):
of Rage one and two, Earthworm Jim, that's fucking rad.
I don't know what Super Thunderblade is, but it definitely
sounds like it should be on the Super Nintendo.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Sounds like some kid, fifteen year old kid.

Speaker 3 (39:52):
Yeah, Super Thunderblade, Uh, toe jam and earl and ToeJam
and earl panic on funk O tron yep, that throwback,
ye Mega Man, the Wilie Wars, uh, Zero Wing which
is a fun one, Fantasy Star four jeez, Golden Acts

(40:14):
one End, two Goals, and Ghosts. So quite a few
games on there just to play just in general, yeah,
as well as all the other fucking you know games
from like Nintendo and shit like that. So yeah, that's
kind of the So it does.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Sound like you get your money's worth as long as
you really want to play retro games.

Speaker 3 (40:36):
Yeah, that's like the biggest thing is like you really
want to play those retro games, and you really really
want to play those retro games m hm, because like
that's really what you're buying this for, because like I mean,
other than the play online, because you need to play.
If you're playing online, you need that, which is weird too.
I didn't bring this up in Kirby. There is an
online feature that you can only get whatever's in that

(41:03):
feature with if you have online, but it's not it's
it is a multiplayer game, but it's also like a
couch co op. We can play two players on one console.
So I'm not really too sure what the online need.
I would probably need to look it up, but I
was like I got I unlocked it, thinking like oh, yeah,
what you can do this, and it's like, oh yeah,

(41:24):
you have to have Nintendo Online to see this. I
was like to see it? What the fuck?

Speaker 4 (41:30):
Man?

Speaker 3 (41:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (41:33):
So, so now that you have one, considering the couch
co op and the abilities to you know, multiplayer games,
would you buy another one so that you and Page
have one.

Speaker 3 (41:45):
Uh, maybe we were thinking about it just so we
can play Mario Kart together or well, I guess, yeah,
it's still together eveno if it's against each other. I
mean I would smoker every match, so it doesn't really matter. Uh,
but I mean she did win two races in first
yesterday before she decided to eat her food.

Speaker 1 (42:09):
Angry boost.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
But that means we'd have to buy obviously another four
hundred and something dollar console, but then also spend another
fifty dollars on a year for that, and I don't
know how much she would actually play. There's a family version, yeah,
oh fuck, I would buy the family version. That's way cheaper,
well not way cheaper, sorry, but.

Speaker 4 (42:33):
Year.

Speaker 3 (42:34):
What's wild, though, is you get eight accounts. That's a
big ass family. I'd share with you. I'd share with.

Speaker 1 (42:43):
Mike.

Speaker 3 (42:44):
I'm trying to Mike. Does Mike have a Switch share
with them anyways? But then you'd have all the retro
games too. Online play.

Speaker 2 (42:55):
Would be cool, but I have no plans of getting
a switch to anytime soon.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
You can play the switch one that you don't actually
ever use anyways.

Speaker 1 (43:03):
Yeah, my brother actually plays it more than.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
Me, right, Yeah, and joy Library of Old School fun
with Nintendo Classics. Does it show? Oh, there's the GameCube ones.
I know, so Caliber two is on there? What the fuck, Nintendo?
What happened to your website? Just now? Okay? It loaded
without a sideboarder, so I was just scroll and he
just went diagonal?

Speaker 1 (43:28):
What are you doing?

Speaker 3 (43:29):
Uh say? GameCube games F zero g zerally just three.
So Caliber two F zero g X and Legends Elder
the wind Waker are the ones I.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
Believe I own physical copies of somewhere.

Speaker 3 (43:43):
I do too, because I have to get my GameCube
out of the closet that's buried by by all that
ship in the corner.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
The flag staff. My nephew has all those.

Speaker 3 (43:53):
What a little bitch?

Speaker 1 (43:55):
I mean? I gave him to him because he said
he'd like to put him on display.

Speaker 3 (43:59):
Oh okay, I guess all out. At this time, I
did not realize that zero Climax was the name of a.

Speaker 1 (44:08):
Game, right. It was a different time back then.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
I think it was a Japanese games. I remember that one.
Not that I played all the fucking F zero games
on game Boy Advance, but all the fire Mom games
are on there, Golden Suns on there? Uh, super Circuit
I was about to say some of the newer game
Boy games are on there, but they're not really new new.

(44:36):
They are because they're newer than anything else. But I
don't know what I mean. It's definitely a Japanese game,
but there's three of them on here. Dentinsu No Starfi one,
two and three are on there. It's a Japanese game
for sure. See sixty four games, Banjo Kazui Banjo, tuey Oh,

(45:00):
Blast Corpse. That game is fucking rad ten eighty. A
lot of good games on there, GoldenEye Double O seven,
not that new version they put out, Perfect Darks on there.

Speaker 4 (45:12):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (45:12):
Oh, Pokemon Stadium, decent game, Both of them are on there, actually,
Stadium one, mties, Red Racer sixty four shadow Man, Oh shit,
that's a That one's fucking rad too.

Speaker 1 (45:28):
I can't believe they poured it that over.

Speaker 3 (45:30):
Yeah for a while, dude.

Speaker 2 (45:33):
It's a game I know of and never played. I've
seen like YouTube videos on it of like what happened
to shadow Man, but the fact that, man, there is
something weird going on with Nintendo's website right now. I
told you I'm looking at Cyberpunk's website and as I'm
scrolling up and down some of the images and background

(45:53):
stuff just like has lines through it. It's like glitching
out like it's supposed to be aesthetically consistent with cyberpunk.

Speaker 4 (46:06):
Weird.

Speaker 3 (46:11):
Yeah, at least that game's only seventy bucks.

Speaker 1 (46:14):
Oh wait, don't be switched to version seventy bucks obviously.

Speaker 3 (46:17):
Yeah, going going right for anything, we're gonna try and.

Speaker 1 (46:20):
Run that thing on a switch console.

Speaker 3 (46:23):
There's no I can't imagine it's fucking good on a
switch to either.

Speaker 2 (46:29):
They've had I mean, they've had to have had time
to really make it so it hopefully runs pretty well.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
But you're right, like when.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
They announced that, it's like, hey, sarmerpunks, come and switch
to It's like, are you going to stream to it?

Speaker 1 (46:43):
Because I don't think that's gonna run very well. Whatever.

Speaker 2 (46:53):
I trust CD product grad to a certain point and
we'll see if it. If it you know as well,
I know you're probably not gonna get it.

Speaker 3 (47:03):
Yeah. Nah, I don't like to buy another version.

Speaker 1 (47:05):
I'm not gonna play which you should just play it.

Speaker 3 (47:08):
I shouldn't. I should just finish the game.

Speaker 1 (47:10):
I just do it. I shouldn't just play the game.
Finish it.

Speaker 2 (47:13):
Go play Phantom Liberty. Phantom Liberty, like the first I
want to say, four hours of Phantom Liberty is like
playing Escape from New York, which is absolutely awesome.

Speaker 3 (47:25):
Which is absolutely awesome.

Speaker 2 (47:27):
He says, drop everything you're doing right now and go play.

Speaker 3 (47:32):
I have to untangle myself from this.

Speaker 4 (47:35):
Right Uh.

Speaker 3 (47:43):
But uh yeah, So what else I know? I sent stuff.

Speaker 1 (47:49):
Earlier this week, you did, I probably didn't watch most
of it.

Speaker 2 (47:55):
I know you guys talked about the new Superman trailer, which,
for some reason, I have yet to even get fed
to me on YouTube.

Speaker 3 (48:02):
Some surprised because like I've seen a bunch of Actually no,
I actually no, no, I haven't seen it on on YouTube.
I've seen it on social media, yeah, which is weird,
but also like kind of makes sense.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
YouTube has been feeding me Spanish versions, yeah, the Superman trailer,
And I am so confused by this, Like I get
I get, well, I still don't really understand, but they
all feed me Spanish versions of like.

Speaker 1 (48:32):
Chevron commercials or something like that.

Speaker 2 (48:33):
It's like, all right, fine, whatever, but why are you
feeding me Spanish versions of Superman? Like It's got to
the point where I need to look up, like do
I have a setting somewhere that's like, hey, throw in
you know, random Spanish uh commercials every once.

Speaker 3 (48:48):
In a while. I've looked and it's not in there.
It's just something they apparently do.

Speaker 2 (48:52):
It's like, hey, you're in Arizona, which has Spanish speaking
people in it. The odds are you have a Spanish parts
speaking person in your house.

Speaker 1 (49:00):
Now here's an.

Speaker 3 (49:01):
Ad that's funny because I don't. Right, Yeah, there's one.
There's a a McDonald's when that came on, and apparently
there's no. They don't. They don't translate double quarter pounder
with cheese, okay out of English.

Speaker 1 (49:21):
Oh so it's Spanish Spanish Spanish double quarter pounder with cheese.

Speaker 4 (49:24):
Spanishpish fan Yeah.

Speaker 3 (49:26):
And I was like, wait, I know they have words
for double quarter pounder with cheese, mm hmm, but I
don't think I think the words don't. Like they don't.
They want to keep the name. So when you go
to the restaurant, that's what you order. You're not looking
for hamburg Asa fucking whatever it would be. I don't

(49:49):
know what quarter pounder actually be. I'm sure they probably
have no, maybe they don't have a quarter pounder would
be I don't know. I'm not Spanish weld enough, but
I know they have cheese and Hamburger's hamburg asa. But
I know that from fucking demolition man. Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
That's a weird poll but okay.

Speaker 3 (50:10):
Because he goes down on the sewer and he orders
the Hamburger hamburg gasa, I.

Speaker 1 (50:14):
Don't call him ordering it in Spanish.

Speaker 3 (50:17):
I believe. I believe that's where I learned it from.
Or I learned it from Southwark.

Speaker 4 (50:20):
I'm not too sure.

Speaker 2 (50:24):
I could believe south Park because I do remember the
rat scene.

Speaker 3 (50:28):
From Rat and Ratburger.

Speaker 4 (50:38):
Great movie, fantastic movie.

Speaker 1 (50:42):
Uh see the trailer for Fantastic four First Steps.

Speaker 2 (50:44):
I actually don't know if I watched this. I have
seen a few of these, but they still been playing the.

Speaker 3 (50:50):
Older and that's the one where they it's kind of
like the like the final trailer. That's the one that
kind of show like a bunch of likes to show
Glactys full up more silver Surfer. They show everybody using
their powers including read finally, not a whole lot of
read like he just deforms and jumps real high and
then that's about it. Ah. And I don't know if

(51:10):
they're keeping that secret order the fact that like it's
not impressive on the small screen because he lights on fire.

Speaker 2 (51:19):
Yeah right, yeah, I'm watching it right now and.

Speaker 1 (51:25):
Interesting so far. Yeah, you're right.

Speaker 2 (51:27):
It just starts off with them showing off all their powers. Yeah,
now we have something in the distance.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
Oh, silver Surfer.

Speaker 3 (51:49):
It's a funny meme someone made. They're like, I can't
believe they made silver Surfer girl. And they show a
picture of her from like one of these newer trailers
and then it jumps like saying uh like and it
goes like to me, and it's this picture of Nicholas
Holt from Fury Road where he has the silver spray
paint on his mouth.

Speaker 1 (52:10):
Yes, I've seen that one. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (52:13):
I was like, yeah, just wondering where that silver came from.

Speaker 1 (52:16):
Wink wink, What a glorious day? Oh what a glorious day?
Looks cool.

Speaker 3 (52:26):
Yeah, it's a lot of cool fun stuff in there.
At one point, Ben has a beard, which is fucking
wild mm hmmm, which I was like, why, like, why
would they have him with a beard? Then I realized, oh,
there's probably quite a bit of a time jump since
she's just gets pregnant and she has a baby. M
there's nine months. You can definitely grow a rock beard
in nine months.

Speaker 1 (52:45):
Yeah, you definitely can. They're definitely weird. Take to grow
a beard. Ok.

Speaker 3 (52:53):
Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys died. Yeah, when the
fuck did that happen?

Speaker 2 (52:58):
I think I saw something like Wednesday or Thursday, So
the twenty fifth of twenty sixth.

Speaker 3 (53:04):
This article is from the twenty sixth. It says he
died two weeks ago.

Speaker 1 (53:08):
Well, then I saw the article from the.

Speaker 3 (53:09):
Twenty weeks Fuck, dude, what I didn't know that?

Speaker 1 (53:12):
Yeah? Dang, oh yeah, should be happening like that.

Speaker 3 (53:20):
Oh I didn't know is he was putting Conservative Ship
in two only twenty four. He was putting Conservative chorch
Ship Conservative Ship in twenty twenty four. H jeans he
can't do things on his own.

Speaker 4 (53:32):
Yeah that sucks.

Speaker 3 (53:37):
Hm, damn, bro, that's crazy. I did not know he
passed away.

Speaker 2 (53:42):
Yeah, let's see you post about the Medequest Xbox edition.

Speaker 1 (53:52):
That just looks dumb.

Speaker 3 (53:53):
Yeah, it was so weird to me. I was like,
why the fuck would you like?

Speaker 1 (53:57):
I mean, it's a part of their whole. Hey, this
is an xbo you.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
Know, playing anywhere and however you want.

Speaker 2 (54:02):
Whatever, right, But VR has not been a thing that
the Xbox has been able to do, So you're just
basically playing your streaming games too in the big screen,
just being able to play big screen mode.

Speaker 3 (54:19):
So that's what I saw, And I was like, And
the thing too about that trailer, if you watch it,
I don't know if you did watch it or not.

Speaker 1 (54:25):
I do recall watching it.

Speaker 3 (54:26):
Yeah, they did it, but the big screen mode the visual,
the visual was mildly opaque, so you can see through it.
I was like, why would you want that? I don't
want to see through the game, right, I want to
see the game. I don't want to see ship around it.
I want to just see the game. I don't want
to see my environment. I don't want to see my
walls and ship like I want to be like I

(54:48):
to I fucking just this game, do you like? Like,
I don't want Why the funk would I want anything
to be around it?

Speaker 1 (54:56):
Like?

Speaker 3 (54:57):
That's why a lot of times I turn the lights
off in the room and I'm playing games, all I
can see is just the fucking bright ass image.

Speaker 1 (55:04):
That's what I do. Yeah, So I don't know.

Speaker 2 (55:08):
I wasn't too thrilled, thrilled about it, especially the fact
that it's connected to medic Quest three.

Speaker 1 (55:14):
I'm so done with everything Facebook.

Speaker 3 (55:17):
Meta whatever, meta nonsense.

Speaker 1 (55:19):
Meta nonsense.

Speaker 2 (55:21):
And if you're going to go this route, like please
just commit to VR stuff.

Speaker 3 (55:27):
Yeah, because you're not releasing VR games on Xbox.

Speaker 1 (55:30):
No you're not.

Speaker 3 (55:31):
You're literally getting a Meta Quest three Xbox edition because
it can stream the games on it.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
Which you can do with the regular Medicquest three like it, Yeah,
why make a special edition for this?

Speaker 1 (55:47):
And I mean I get like.

Speaker 3 (55:48):
Hey, it looks cool, cool.

Speaker 2 (55:51):
Black and I think green version, and it comes with
the Xbox controller. But it's like, at the same time,
if you already own a medic Quest three, just you
can sure.

Speaker 1 (56:00):
You can just download the app like that's it.

Speaker 3 (56:02):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 2 (56:03):
You don't need the heart, you don't need the new
hardware for it. So I wasn't too thrilled about that.
I think it's dumb. But whatever, everything's in Xbox.

Speaker 3 (56:13):
Now, Xbox, Xbox, Plantino switch to Xbox.

Speaker 2 (56:18):
Xbox, my Apple, MacBook, Xbox mm hmmm some other stuff
I really don't know. Didn't watch that, didn't look at
that fantastic for trailer.

Speaker 3 (56:36):
Oh, that's what I was doing.

Speaker 2 (56:36):
World for Lands for Eco bundle that doesn't come with
the fucking game for some reason. They're just digging a
hole for themselves at this point and just preparing to
jump into it and then bury themselves between what's his
name responding to people with Hey, if you like the game, just.

Speaker 1 (56:59):
Just buy it.

Speaker 3 (57:00):
You know you'll find a way.

Speaker 1 (57:02):
You'll find a way to buy it. I took on
different jobs when I was a child and I bought games.

Speaker 3 (57:08):
You know, yeah, when you were a child, And are
you expecting a child to buy a fucking eighty dollars
video game that has that's an m rate.

Speaker 2 (57:17):
I think that you come out with a collector's edition
and you have the balls to not include the game,
where the collector's edition was what one hundred and fifty
bus one.

Speaker 3 (57:26):
Hundred and fifty dollars, no game included, Give.

Speaker 1 (57:29):
Me a digital version of the fucking game.

Speaker 3 (57:32):
Yeah. I was like, that's not a collectorsition.

Speaker 1 (57:38):
Collector's edition, that's.

Speaker 3 (57:39):
A collectible, that's all that is. It's not a collectors
of anything, because it's not an edition of the game.

Speaker 1 (57:45):
Yes, it's not.

Speaker 3 (57:49):
If I bought a Rubics Cube collect edition and it
was a fucking box that had the picture of the
fucking rubscube on it but didn't have a rubscube. It's
not a Rubik's Cube, bud. Oh, but it's a collectible
from the game. Okay, then call it that. Don't call
it Collector's Edition because it's not an addition. It's an addition,

(58:11):
not an addition. So dumb dude, I was like, you're
out of your fucking mind. I'm still like, I'm on
the fence of like bork boycotting Borderlands for.

Speaker 1 (58:23):
I don't I don't blame you.

Speaker 3 (58:25):
I'm like, dude, what the fuck? Man? What is wrong
with you? Dude? Like what your dumb statements is, aside
and making your game expensive for no fucking reason.

Speaker 5 (58:36):
Um, but also to me, what's funny is uh the
link that you had posted does say Borderlands for Collector's Edition,
but when you go to the game stop.

Speaker 2 (58:47):
Uh page now it just says, uh, Borderlands for Echo
for bundle.

Speaker 3 (58:55):
What though the only thing you get bundled for it
you get like I think there's a skin and like
the gold keys.

Speaker 1 (59:02):
No, it's uh.

Speaker 2 (59:04):
You get the statue, you get a cloth map, a
shift code card for okay.

Speaker 1 (59:11):
For gold keys.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Yeah, a necklace and then four lithographs. But I'm just saying,
like your link says Collector's edition.

Speaker 3 (59:21):
I think they have to change the name because people
were like confused, because like, oh yeah, collectors, thank you.

Speaker 2 (59:26):
Yeah, because now it doesn't say Collector's Editions, just as
Borderlands for Echo Bundle game Stop exclusive.

Speaker 3 (59:32):
And then the bottom of the picture of the bottom
right corner in small words does not include edition of
the game.

Speaker 1 (59:38):
Yeah, games sold separately.

Speaker 3 (59:39):
Yeah. I was like, Jesus fucking Christ, what is wrong
with you? Yeah, So I'm like I'm on the fence
of getting that game or not. And I was like
super excited about it.

Speaker 2 (59:49):
But now I'm like, oh, yeah, because you've gotten all
of the Borderland games, You've enjoyed all of them.

Speaker 3 (59:54):
Yeah, even I've I've even gotten the fucking the Tiny
Tina's games and they're fucking awesome, right, But like, just
oh my god, and this game looks so cool. But
I on a fundamental level, I'm like I hate everything
about what you're doing. And when I saw that, I
was like, dude, you gotta be fucking kidding me.

Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
Bro Yep, hot garbage, And this is just the way
the games are going right right now.

Speaker 4 (01:00:22):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (01:00:22):
I'm just I'm I'm saying this though, I am happy
that internal live service game because I'm sure there.

Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
Was some executive out there that was like, we should
make this a live service game.

Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
I'm fucking sick and tired of live service games, dude.
Like I say that, like, I'm probably gonna get the
new stuff for Destiny, but I'm like, in a way,
I'm like, I kind of don't want to, like I
need to teach you as a lesson. I know I'm
not gonna be the one that teaches you to lesson,
but in my mind it makes me feel like I'm
fucking teaching you a lesson.

Speaker 1 (01:00:52):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
But I saw a statistic I think yesterday that was
saying that there's a fifty eight percent what was Let's see,
how was it phrased that. I don't remember exactly how
it was phrased, but there was something about that I
can't think of gaming companies revenue, fifty eight percent of

(01:01:17):
it comes from uh, like do you like that type
of content now?

Speaker 3 (01:01:23):
Yeah? Post post or post game content.

Speaker 2 (01:01:27):
Yeah, people downloading skins and buying this and that and
all that type of stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
Yeah, bro, And Bro, Destiny's one of the fucking worst, dude.

Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
It was quit.

Speaker 3 (01:01:39):
Yeah. Bro, there's a skimmer, which is the new like
surfboard thing you can get m hm. That doesn't have
any function other than it's just a vehicle you can get, right,
But to buy this one, which looks fucking cool as
hell because it's very silver surfery in a way eight

(01:01:59):
American nah, for essentially just a skin for a skimmer.
I was like, you're got your fucking mind, dude. And
it's so funny because, like, I know, Destiny knows that's
the thing everyone wants out of that bundle, because there's
a there's a for that bundle. There's a ship, the skimmer,

(01:02:21):
a ghost shell, and a shader, And for some reason
during the last like month or so, they sold the
ship and the ghost shell. Actually they got the ghost shell.
I think, I goes, I think I got the ghost
shell out of a bright endagram. But I bought the
ship for bright dust because the ship looks cool. Yeah, dude,

(01:02:45):
I was like, but like, they won't put that fucking
shader or that fucking skimmer.

Speaker 1 (01:02:50):
I'm like, because you're right, that's what people want, So
that's what they're.

Speaker 3 (01:02:54):
Going to make their money on yeah, and then coming
up in the weeks leading to the new one they're selling.
They have a vendor in the game that's like selling
exotics and stuff every week I think until the launch,
and there's a couple you can choose from this week.
I already have the two that already on my accounts.

(01:03:15):
I don't need to buy them. They're guns, but they
are gonna get released. The very first skimmer that they
released that was originally only it's still only available for
money as endgame currency, not for Bright desp but for
the the end game or the current event currency, which
you can get like way easy. Who that's nice, but like,

(01:03:38):
it's the Fighting Lion one. I think, not Fighting Lion,
it's something Lion, but it's basically the Galla Horn themed
skimmer they released, and I'm like, I'm gonna get that
because then I'll have all the skimmers except for the
one that I'm not paying for because I refuse to
give them extra money for that shit.

Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
And the only time I've ever bought anything for real
money was for the Charity one and it was for
the dog emote. Uh And I didn't actually spend my
own money I spent a Xbox gift card money that
was free from Xbox, so I didn't actually spend my
own money on it. Yeah, because that's ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (01:04:15):
Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
And I see people like all the time in game that,
like the day new stuff comes out and it's like
cost real money, I see multiple people in the game
with it. I'm like, this is not how you support them.
This is how you let them get by with making
shit because you give them money for nothing. It's nothing.

(01:04:38):
You get nothing out of this other than looking cool.

Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
Yeah, no extra actual content or anything.

Speaker 4 (01:04:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
No, drives me fucking insane.

Speaker 1 (01:04:50):
Anyway.

Speaker 3 (01:04:51):
AnyWho, that's it. I'm done ranting about that shit. I
will wrap up this episode that way. So this has
been come naturally. We have been Ivan Cody, and as usual,
you fuckers just came naturally.

Speaker 1 (01:05:05):
Bye.
