Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo, oh it's up, yannihin sure, just a little tired,
a little tired, huh up all night playing Silk Song
or whatever that ship you're playing. No h.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
I played a little bit of Hollow Night last night.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
I was I was waiting for Indiana Jones to redownload.
I was streaming it, and then the game crashed and
it turns out that the Xbox app had crashed, and
so I was like, yeah, it's.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Too late, fucking it's too late.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
It's too late.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Yeah, because they released the DLC for Indiana Jones what
on the fourth I think it was, Yeah, yeah, And
I was debating, obvious, I was debating whether or not
to get it, partially because I wasn't sure. I've never
downloaded DLC for a game that have only played on

(01:02):
game Pass, So I was like, do I have to
actually own the game or can I use the game
Pass version, you know as the base game and by
the DLC.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Yeah, that's the whole that's the whole thing I can do. Yeah,
because that's with powerwashuh simulator one, because the second one
hasn't been announced when it's actually coming out yet, Still
angry about that anyhow, With that I've I've gotten all
the DLC with that, and the first couple were free,

(01:37):
but like the other ones, like the Back of the
Future one in SpongeBob one, those ones were all paid
I paid for and they worked.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
They mean, the works just fine.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
As long as you have the Bass Game downloaded, you
can have access to it.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Yeah, So that's why I figured, and so I started
downloading the Bass Game with the Bass Games like one
hundred and sixteen gigabytes or something like that. While I
wait for this to do, I saw that Silk Song
had dry on game Pass and I was like, oh,
it was Hollow Night on game Pass. I've never actually
played it, but you know, people call it a really
good you know, it's I've seen people say it's a

(02:08):
really good game.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
It's a metroc Bania. I do tend to like those games.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
I've stayed away from it because it has seemed kind
of more like a very difficult game, uh in the
vein of like a like a Dark Souls type of
type of difficulty. And so that's why I kind of
stayed away from it. I figured it was available for streaming,
and so I started playing it.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
And then then, like I said, the whole Xbox app
just fucking crashed on me.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
That's ends, like wy.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
It was streaming very well, which was kind of surprising
of like how fast I was downloading Indiana Jones and
I was like, well, let's see how this works. I
was able to actually stream it at the same time.
It's like, thank you wired gig a bit Internet for
me being able to do that. Yeah, it was all

(03:02):
night seemed interesting, you know, like thirty minutes I played
for I played for Actually it was probably even only
like ten or twenty minutes actually, but whatever. Yeah, I
barely even got to through the first little small area
and into the like literally was reading text of like oh,

(03:24):
if you go right, you're going to be in this
town called something.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Hollow or something like that.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
I was like, okay, so I'll just go back and
explore the initial area that I was in for just
a second longer.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Anyway, crash.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
I was like, oh, okay, don't go back, Joe, don't
go Apparently if.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
You go back, you crash the game. They just weren't
expecting to do.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
That, Okay.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
They said, hey, we we made we gave you the
ability on like like say a Mario Brothers game. But like,
don't and then you did, and it's like all right,
well yeah did.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
I was also surprised, how uh, because you have to
use the controller in order to play the game obviously
playing on my PC and didn't seem to be too
much of your foot lag, if.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Any at all.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
That's good for you, know again, downloading one hundred and
something gigabyte game while streaming this game while playing on
a wireless controller.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Yea bluetooth nonsense?

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Yeah. When I was playing uh Diablo last night and
it popped up and said you were on I was like, wait, what,
Joe's on his Xbox and I popped up the app
and it's like PC. I was like this motherfucker.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Mm hmm, this motherfucker.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
And I know if you're playing just Hollow Night. It
said Hollow Night, and I didn't pay attention if it
was Silk Song or not. And I was like, I
don't know if it's that one or not.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Yeah, because the sequel is technically called Hollow Night Silk Song.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Yeah, so if you only see Hollow Night, it's like, well,
I guess I don't know who he's playing. And I
thought about playing Silk Song to see how it was,
but like, might as well just play the original just
to see how it is.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Yeah, yeah, I've never played it, so.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Apparently Silk Song and I've I would believe that it
was a silk Song that like took down Steam's servers
Yah launched, although I have seen people say that, no,
it wasn't Silk Song. It's too small game, it didn't
do enough sales to do that. But it's like a
pretty coincidental that it went down the same day that

(05:35):
that went live purchase.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
No, it was, they confirmed it was. I'm pretty sure. Yeah,
I saw a song earlier because like they were something
like at the time of launch, only one hundred and
sixty eight thousand something versions were able to get downloaded
before it just completely op working. And they weren't saying

(06:02):
it was like Steam like because obviously game's not on
like it's on Steam, but it's not like it's it's
not a Valve game. So whatever that that server connection
is from wherever the game comes from to them or whatever,
I guess just kind of shit the bed nice, but
I guess it's it's probably the same place that like
the Xbox version. The I think it's on PlayStation, right,

(06:27):
and the Wii the switch or yeah, switch, it's silk
song on switch? Is it? Just it might be. I
think that launched at the same time, so I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
So yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
And then game Stop Game Spot, uh the online news site,
not the shitty fucking store. They were saying that they
weren't able to buy it on the switch the day
it launched because of the server issues, like they'd hit
it and it would be like nah, no.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
But yeah, so that was that was a fun time.
I was like, well, that's what you nerds get for
trying to get a day one boom got them roasted.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Right. Should have pre ordered it?

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Yeah, pre downloaded that ship, nerd.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
We have it. Yeah, pre downloaded and just ready to go.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Speaking of pre orders, I pre ordered my game for
the first time in like a long time.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
What.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Let me guess, Oh my god, I got it.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
I finally broke down and got it.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
What did you get as your pre order bonus?

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Uh? It's like the it's like a gunpack, which I
kind of hate because you know it's gonna be gone soon,
like can I.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
It's literally gonna be something that you're gonna play with immediately,
like yeah, this is fun anyway, this gun's better.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Yeah, because it's gonna you're gonna out level it like
almost instantly. Like the whole thing is like the first
like thirty hours of the game or something is just
hot swapping ship left and right. Yeah, you know what
I mean. So I was like, uh, I know there's
gun skins too, and then there's like a but I
want to say, the pre order included some guns, and

(08:09):
I was like, well, stupid unless I can read call
the guns whenever I want it, you know what I mean,
Like just like oh, yeah, I here, you know, you
can re download them at another level or whatever. I'm like, okay,
well that's fine with me.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
That would be pretty cool if they build something like
that in you know, they're not, you know, it's just
gonna be something that you're gonna play with for like
the first twenty minutes of the game, and then you're
gonna find something better, more fun that you like.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Actually playing with.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Yeah, that's the thing.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
So it's called the Gilded Glory Pack.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Nice I should have put a hole in there.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Wow, you get uh it. So there's a lot of
customer custom ability in this game because not only adding
vehicles that you can call whenever you want in the
open world. But they're gonna have different skins for that.
But then I guess there's like, uh, this drone friend
of yours that you have, I don't know the whole thing,
and you look it up, but I guess there's skins

(09:12):
for that too. It's called the the one Echo four
or you get sorry Echo four, and I don't know
what he's used for, but you get a skin for him.
You get a thing, yes, a specific character, so it's
like it's right there. I'm guessing it's all of them

(09:32):
because it's in with the rest of the stuff. And
then you get one uh head usable by all Vault hunters,
which is fine, but all it really is is just
the psycho mask. It just can fit on all the
fucking characters. Then you get a weapon skin, which is

(09:53):
that guy there, which is not a very good picture
of it because I saw it online and it has
like caution tape and stuff like all over it.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Oh yeah, that just looks like a destiny white and gold.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Yeah, So I'll pull the picture and show it to you.
And then these are like the says new legendary gear,
and that's the stuff they have there, So I hope
you can just recall it later on and be like,
oh yeah, here's a better version of it, and then
one skin usable why all vault hunters, which is the

(10:25):
thing I guess they're starting to do with these. So
it's basically like, ah, it's essentially a shader, but like
it has ah it changes the outfit too, unlike a shad,
but you know what I mean, Like, it's just it's
a variation of their I think bass costumes with just
different like a This doesn't show it very well, but
the the video shows it, and it's like a pearlescent

(10:46):
type skin like shader to it. Yeah, So that's the
the pre or bonus you get for forgetting the any
version of the pre order. And then obviously they have
different versions you can get for the different level. So

(11:07):
as you order or pre order it with with or
without the DLC future DLC obviously, then you then you
get different stuff. Oh here's the picture of the vehicles.
Let's see if I can get that to be a
usable image on a phone like little speeders. But you can,

(11:33):
I guess you can call them like much like sparrows
in Destiny, you can call them whenever, and then I
need to look up to see what the Echo one does.
I keep wanting to say Ecto one, but I know
it's not because that would be Ghostbusters. But it's oh, sorry,
Echo four. So apparently there's three versions of Echo before this.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
What's the year.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Border lands for.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
Echo?

Speaker 2 (12:12):
And when does this game come out?

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Friday? Thursday night, Friday, whatever you wanna call it? Oh,
they got moved up a couple months ago. They announced
that they moved it up from like the end of September,
like they think. Originally it was supposed to be like
the twenty sixth or something.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Yeah, because that's what I thought it was, and.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Then they moved it forward. And I there's some people
who are saying because not that it granted, it's it's
funny that this is a statement that I'm gonna make
right now, but I don't think it has to do
with it. So there's rumors that the new season of
Jobbo four drops on the twenty third. I think that Tuesday,
the twenty I think it's Tuesday is twenty third. They

(12:52):
haven't anounced yet. I don't know if it's true or not,
but it's odd because Rich and I've been playing Yabo
four as something to fill the time between uh when
we all stopped playing Destiny until Borderlands four came out,
and it's just funny that that's the game we chose.
But everyone's saying that the reason that Borderlands moved their

(13:14):
game up one is it went certif got certified gold
before or well it got certified to go to get
certified gold. Does that make sense? They finished it so
they can get it in an earlier time, uh, with
with actual play tests and everything, unlike some games, and

(13:36):
then so they were like able to shift it forward.
And people were saying because they they were expecting a
release of like GTA six, Like no, because at that type,
I think they already did it. But then everyone's like, oh, no,
it's another looter loot game, which would be Yabo four
having a new seasons they want to get ahead of it.
I was like, I guess that kind of could be true,

(13:58):
but also like they're vastly different games, Like yes, they're
loot games, right, but like ones like a hardcore RPG, yeah,
like like pretty fucking hardcore. And then this one's definitely
an RPG light if if at if anything at best. Okay,

(14:25):
here we go. I found a description of Echo four
as we were talking. Oh God, I hate when they
adds a load like that. Okay. Echo four is a
doll companion robot that assists you on your vault hunting
journey and helps navigate the the expansive world and Bordlands
for Echo four can collect the quest rewards for you.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Okay, okay, what like, you're done with the thing, so
you send them off just.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
I think he just runs around and picks it up
so you're not losing.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Like, okay, hey, that makes more sense than what I
was thinking, because what I was thinking is like, oh, hey,
my quest is finished, I'm just gonna send the robot
back to the quest giver to get my reward.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
That's literally what it says here. It says so you
don't have to backtrack. That's such a fucking awesome idea
if it works the way I think it does.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Yeah, but that's dumb in my idea.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Well, I think the only reason it does that is because,
like in a lot of games, I'll use Destiny and
Diabo as this, there's always this thing where like, you
you do a side quest, right, and it may have
multiple steps. Right, you go to this place, find this
thing or person, kill this thing or person whatever whatever, right,

(15:41):
and then like eventually you'll go to like a dungeon
and clear it out or a seller whatever, right, and
the person will be following you, the quest giver, and
then you talk to him right then and there then like, oh,
meet me back here and we'll finish up the reward.
I'm like you, you were literally just here. I talk

(16:01):
to you for one part of the step, and then
now I have to travel. I mean not that it's
tucking hard, because usually it's at a waypoint, but it's like,
now I have to go all the way back over
there just for you to give me the reward. You
could just give it to me now.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
Yeah, And that's that's a dumb mechanic. That's absolutely a
dumb mechanic. And that's what I'm saying here is like,
do we have to introduce a robot to be able
to give you the reward or could it just literally
be like a communication of just like hey man, thanks anyway,
here's your reward whatever.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
That's all I'm saying. It's a weird mechanic to introduce
unless it does more. Obviously it has to do more
than that I would say.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Yeah, there's a whole table of contents. It says navigating Cairos,
which is the new planet we're going to. Echo four
can help you locate the next objective, as it can
scan the area and highlight the best path across Cairos.
I think it's called Kiros. You can simply summon Echo
for and press of a button and then he will

(17:08):
dispatch a path or display a path to your waypoint
in the environment, and you can follow. The trail stays
visible for five seconds. Okay, so that's like a navigation thing,
but it's like.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
It's your general navigation and communication device thing. So that's
what makes sense, and I'm perfectly fine with that. It's
just it would be weird to introduce a singular thing
to be like, okay, no, now this thing goes back
and so you don't have to backtrack and collect your rewards.
It's like, no, guys, that's just opening up a communication
screen and just being like, hey man, thanks for doing that. Anyway,

(17:42):
here's your reward. Like I'm pretty sure they're done in
the past in Borderlands.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Yeah, and then this one is it says hacking the
the Order tech the Order is like the new group
you're fighting is Oka says Echo four can assist you
with hacking order tech and claim, I mean control over
silos and safe houses, these points of interests. Will we
then provide fast travel points? Okay, So it's like a

(18:07):
mechanic and then there could okay, ooh, here's a fun one,
uh ammo capacity. Echo four allows you to upgrade your
AMMO capacity on the fly by navigating to the SDU
section of the Echo menu in Borderlands four instead of
having to go back to one of the shops and
do it. That's kind of fun that yeah, okay, quick

(18:32):
change Okay, you can also use it to It's so
it's like a it's a multi use thing because it
says here you can quick change your look and cosmetics
in the menu as well. Okay. Cool. Echo four consensations
thirteen hats, Skull, Party, Hat, Crown, Psycho, mask and more.
Four body types default, which I think was the one

(18:55):
I showed you a square round or one called evil. Okay,
is there like an does it show what these look like?
And then it says forty skins So there's more ship
you can fucking like unlock in the game. That's funny.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
That's funny. Do you see that is cross play available?

Speaker 1 (19:23):
Yeah? Oh yeah, they're they're they're big. Intan that because
the board, as to me was cross play.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Yeah, you don't.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
Well if you if you pre order it, Joe, you
actually get to play it Thursday morning.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Not do that?

Speaker 1 (19:39):
Yeah, I know, but I thought that I only.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
Really have time on Saturdays really to sink anytime into
video gaming. And even then, like yesterday, I didn't really
do much, tried to play some hollow night.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
And then you crash the system, Joe, crash the system.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Didn't really didn't even play half like Alex yesterday.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
How dare you? I know, how dare you neglect things? Well?

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Part of the reason why is because so I set
up the VR yesterday, I started playing it and I.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Wanted to use it to get off.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
My ass on the set on the weekends and do
a little bit more activity.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
So I started playing.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Beat Saber and it was frustrating the fuck out of me,
but probably not for the reason why you're thinking. For
some reason, so i'd loaded up and first off, the
annoying thing is and I still don't understand this with
the quest two, I've set it up and I'm looking forward,

(20:43):
and I'm setting everything up, activating the game, and I'm
waiting for the game to load, and I'm just sitting
there and I realized I turned around. The fucking game
loaded behind me. The menu is behind me, and I'm like, why,
what the hell? What are we doing here?

Speaker 2 (20:59):
Guys? Every thing that I clicked on was this direction here,
But for some reason the game loaded behind me. What
what the hell? So I have to turn around and
now I'm.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
Playing the game that'll teach you Jill.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
And that was the first frustrating thing. It's just dumb.
The big frustration, though, was so I select a track
it's on. Was it normal? So you have like easy, normal.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Hard, blah blah blah blah blah, other difficulties that I
have tried playing but can't even get past.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Like the first second of the game. So I'm on normal,
and for some reason, as the blocks are coming at me,
you know, they jump at you and then they can
turn directions and stuff, but for some reason, they were
like changing directions at the last second.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
And I'm literally playing like this, like my hands up
against my chest as I'm like everything's flying at me
and I can barely have enough time to swipe at things,
and I'm just normal.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
I switch it down to easy.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
And it's still doing it, and I'm failing on easy,
and I'm like, what the fuck this game is pissing
me off. I go into the settings and I'm trying
to reset things because they have, like, you know, automatically
set height and stuff like that. Maybe it's because I'm
too fucking tall for a VR game. I don't know, probably,
and it's just not working. I'm just sitting here last minute,

(22:37):
trying to swipe at things. I even step back in
the VR space a little bit, and it still doesn't
help me. Feel like, goddamn t Rex playing VR here
and I have no idea what's going on. So I
stop playing that and I try playing something else, and
I'm still having problems with the other game that I
was that I was trying to play. But I think

(22:57):
it was also because it was one of those metaquest
like world games that you go into and I didn't
realize that it was multiplayer's.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Stupid piece of shit stuff gotcha anyway, So I'm like,
I'm frustrated at this.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
I don't know what the fuck is going on, and
so I just start looking at other apps on there,
and I was like, okay, well, I've never seen what
the browser looks like on here.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
So I click on the browser and it's like, hey, Adam,
would you like to sink over your settings? I was like, Adam,
I'm logged into my account.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
Why is it showing my brother's account when I click
on the browser And then I look down at the
account picture and it's not my picture. So I click
on it and I'm logged into my brother's account.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
My brother hasn't even touched this in years.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
I've been the one that's using it, and for some
reason it defaulted to me logging into his account. Oh yeah,
So I switch accounts over and then I relaunched Beatsaber
perfectly fine.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
I'm like, what the fuck? Like, what is the difference
that was? What setting? Was this that that that he
had set in his.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
Where it has such a short distance of swiping and
whatnot for Beatsaber in all these other games? And I
was so mad that it just auto And like I said,
he hasn't even been touching the system in like a year.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
I've been the one that's using and for some reason
it's still autologged him in first interesting. Yeah, So frustrating.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
I think he prefers your brother over you, is what
it's trying to tell you.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
I mean it might be because it's his. It's technically
his Quest system. When I created an account for it,
it was like, hey, do you want to you have
to make sure that Adam's okay with this. I'm like,
it's just just a second account, guys, just just give
the option for two different accounts when you when you
log into the system.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Like, what is this?

Speaker 1 (24:55):
I don't know?

Speaker 2 (24:56):
So dumb? I hate I hate Meta so so much.
I hate the Quest vrs.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
It's true. Quick quick correction to what I was saying earlier.
The weapon skin you get for pre ordering it is
different than the one I thought it was.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
Okay, it is.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
It is a like a like a Merleou colored gold
and white or silver or whatever it was. This is
the one I thought it was. So it's the same gun,
but it's a different skin. I guess these skins are
they much like Destiny. I think they're universal skins. Okay,
so add this aesthetic to like any gun you put

(25:35):
it on or whatever. This one is called the hazard
Uh what's it called hazardous Pay?

Speaker 4 (25:43):
Hazard Pay?

Speaker 1 (25:46):
And it is a shift code bonus, So if you
have if you don't know what shift codes are for Borderlands,
it is a their redemption system that you can allows
you to download or to get skins and other stuff,
but also gold keys and keys in general to unlock
stuff in the game from loot chests. So what they're

(26:08):
saying here is if you set up a shift code
account or shift account, and then when you log into
it for the first time in Borderlands four, you'll get
a redemption of the Hazard Pay skin as well as
obviously access to all the other things. Because they're they're
gonna be they send not going to be. They do

(26:30):
send shift codes through their newsletter every week or so
that'll give you again new skins, new keys to use
to unlock for loot and other stuff like that. So
that's what that one was. I was confused. I thought
those were because the the gun model they use on
is the same gun yeah, which oddly enough is not

(26:55):
the same gun they show as part of the pre order,
So that's fun. Weird one looks like a tractor cannon. Uh,
tractor cannon. Yeah, from it's from from Destiny.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
Sorry, Okay, I was gonna say you you say that
like I should know what a tractor cannon is, and
I'm thinking of is like a John Dear with.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
A cannon on the back there.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Yeah, no, so it's a little one that goes like
on your fist.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
It's a little purple thing, okay.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
And then in Destiny it just shot void and like
it was like a shotgun, but like a punchy shotgun.
So you just went and it like punched people with
void damage. This one looks it's weird because it's also purple.
So I'm like, is it void damage?

Speaker 3 (27:37):
To be fair, Like you could just throw all these
weapons into Destiny and it'd be like, okay that that
tracks as a Destiny Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
This looks like a silenced pistol sniper.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
Yeah, I saw the weird, weird pistol.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Looking Yeah, when you get closer you can see that
it's like there's a clip in front of it. Then
there's the I think that's supposed to be a clip.
But also the below looks like a I don't know
whatever it's. It's it's Borderlands and shit's all fucking wild.
So I do know. There's a couple new gameplay mechanics.
Let me see if this lists them, because there's a

(28:14):
new grapple mechanic, so you have a grapple thing. Uh,
there's a new the vehicle called a Digi Runner. Okay,
there's a new like when you cause it. One of
my favorite things about Borderlands in general is there's no
fall damage, so you can like go to the highest

(28:35):
of heights and then jump off and when you yeat,
you don't suffer anything other than it just like waiting
for yourself to hit the ground. But they have a
new glide mechanic, so when you jump, you can like
pop like a wingsuit type thing, so you can like
traverse that way as well. Yeah, so that's fun and
then obviously get close enough to maybe grapple onto something.
I don't know if there's a I don't know if

(28:56):
the grapple has certain points it needs, or if it's
just like Spider Man two from the PlayStation where it's
just like you just I'm just.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Thinking just cause.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Yeah, Like you literally just described just like two thirds
of just Cause. Because you describe a parachute, You're just
like a pair of you know, squirrel suit with grapple.
I'm like, all right, so we're getting into just cause territory.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
So which worked well.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
It did, yes, once you got used to how how
it worked. Yeah, yeah, for sure.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
Cop things together.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
And then there's uh three new weapon manufacturers in it.
So you have your returning ones of Torque, lad Off,
Jacob's Malaway and Tedi or those ones are the classic
ones that are returning. And then you have data Lists.

(29:50):
Ripper and Order Order are the new The new people
from the Timekeeper's Order says. They use the advanced arsenal
of the Timekeeper's Order Army against him, loading extra ammo
into high powered bursts to eliminate targets with precision accuracy.
That sounds fun. Then there's Ripper. You can probably guess

(30:13):
what this one does tears, So good things come to
those who wait, especially when it comes to Ripper guns,
which need a moment to spin up before blasting at
full auto for as long as you hold the trigger.

Speaker 4 (30:31):
Nice awesome.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
And then data Liss looks to be another tech based one,
easy to use, reliable, and quick to reload. Datass guns
run the gambit Gamit Gamit I can't talk gam It
of full auto assault rifles and shotguns to burst fire

(30:53):
pistols and smngs with the ability to use multiple AMMO
types excuse me, okay, and then of course the all
the other the other five come back for their their funness,
the td R where you can just basically yet a
gun in it reforms in your hand instead of reloading
because that takes too much time. M hm. So yeah,

(31:17):
So that's uh, that's all that fun stuff, and I'm
sure there's more going on. I didn't read all this
because I did see this though, which I was looking at,
which is a new thing, couch co op. Did they
have co op before, like like split screen before on
a Borderlines game?

Speaker 2 (31:37):
I honestly don't know.

Speaker 5 (31:39):
It's been a long time since I've tried to couch
co op with anyone. And of course I actually only
think of only how many Orderlands games have I played?

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Only one? Do you?

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Oh? Did you play Boardlands three? No?

Speaker 3 (31:57):
I didn't because I heard it got really bad reviews.
I know I played the presequel with you guys.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
I thought you played.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
Us.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
Yeah, I don't know if I played Bordlands two. That's
the one where I'm like, I'm not really sure if
I played that or not, because.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
I want to say you played Bordlands two with us?

Speaker 4 (32:19):
I could be wrong.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
I could be wrong too, but the yeah, I know
I didn't play one.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
I know I played the presequel because I know I
remember played playing with you guys. I don't remember if
I played Bordlands two. I did not play Borderlands three
because it got bad reviews. And that's where I'm on
defence of Borland's four here makes sense.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
I'm pre sure I'm i to play the guy who's
known as an Exo soldier because he has like an
armor suit that appears on him or some ship, and
that sounds fun to me. Even though the Simon can
now have an animal companion that they create from their
mind and one of them is like a fucking tiger
looking thing. Oh my god, there's so much stuff on there.

(33:11):
I haven't read over any of it. So anyways, I
guess i'll find out when I play it on Thursday
night for a little while before I have to shuffle
off to bed. But yeah, so that was fun? Did so? Yeah?
So I pre ordered that, got all that stuff, did

(33:32):
the download. I'm sure it'll download on the console Thursday
morning or some ship, I think they said. I think
that's all I had for that one mm hmmm, I
need to look up what there was at packs they

(34:03):
displayed a shift code that you could use, and I
guess it's gonna work on like all games. Some guessing
Boordlands four probably isn't that two once it launches. But
I gave you like fifty keys. I think they're like
a bunch of it. Just gave you like it was
just a fully loaded thing, and like they're like just

(34:23):
claiming on every game possible. And I was like, okay,
so I did it, and like you can claim it
on Borlands three, Borlans Tube orans. I think even worked
on the Tiny teens game. I was like, dang, I'm
not gonna open these games and use it, but I
might as well as throw them on the account, right,
don't go back and play it.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
That's stupid, right, But.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
I was gonna try to find it and I'll post
it on.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
The website.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
I'll find it put it on there, so eventually.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Maybe maybe try and get in.

Speaker 1 (35:01):
Yeah, because it's it's not like a secret thing like
they like literally they gearbox, uh. And I think the
Borderlands account on Twitter and stuff they were posting pick
like reposting people taking the picture of it because there
was a it's a big banner pack. No, it was
like a big banner in the in like in the

(35:22):
hall when they did the presentation for Borderlands. It was
just a big banner that just had the shift code
on it. I was like, well, obviously, because they're they're
don't They're like they, uh, they will do every now
and then Randy will do first come, first serve shift codes.
But those are very rare.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
That's what I was kind of thinking of, Like, you know,
first thousand people, two thousand people, I don't know how
many people they go to packs, but.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
Yeah, yeah, but the But when I think, I think
it was when Borlands three came out, because Borlands three
added a bunch of really like quality of life changes
to the game, so like unlike like Bordlands two and previous,
I believe I believe two had it in there too.

(36:07):
They uh, it was it was first come, first get
when it came to loot, So when you opened a box,
you'd have to be quick to get it, like just
picking a pick a pick pit up before someone I'm
not gonna name any names, but it rhymes with lint
would just try to steal whatever's in the box. So

(36:28):
it came up with terms there's nothing to see here,
which means he found a box and like he would
just leave you whatever he couldn't pick up or didn't want,
And I'm like, I fucking hate you so much. But
in Boordlanes three, they made it when you open a box,
it stays open, right, But you can't take all the
loot out. You can take all loot out that you see,

(36:48):
but everyone else sees loot two. Yeah, and the loot
is not capped at whoever opens it, because it's a
it's per count. So if I level thirty and your
level thirty seven, you open a I open a box,
you're not stuck with level thirty shit. You get level
thirty seven or higher potentially stuff out of it as well.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
So that's always a benefit, you know, which is odd
that you say I'm level thirty seven when it would
honestly be the reverse.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
I know, I was just trying to make me like level.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
And I'd be like, hey, I'm gonna play with you
guys on level one.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
Yeah. But then, and the nice thing about that too
is in Borderlands three they made it where the damage
is scaled to your level as well.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
Yeah, I remember that.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
Yeah, So if I shoot a bad guy, me being
a level thirty, you being level thirty seven, I do
the same equivalent type of damage numbers. Obviously, potentially you
being a level thirty seven would have a better gun
and better abilities at that point because your seven levels higher,
so like more skill points and stuff unlocked. But I'm
not hitting his dude for like one ever, and you're

(37:58):
hitting him for thirty seven hundred. I'm hitting for one.
I hit him for the equivalent of what my level is,
because he he reacts that he is level thirty to
me and he's double thirty seven to you. So you
can't just power boost anybody. You can power boost people
because obviously you're level thirty seven, so you'd be killing
things faster hopefully, but you can't, like and I can't,

(38:20):
because this is jump in whenever you want. It doesn't
have to reload anything like with YABO four for example. Uh.
And there's another game I'll bring up in a minute
that I used to do. But when you jump in,
if you join somebody, you join their game. So if
you're in, if you're a higher everything, you just you're

(38:41):
just gonna fucking mollywop everything in sight. But like in
Destiny too, for example, right, if you go into a
higher level, you're gonna suck ass still, and so you
can you can power boost people that way. But say,
like the Division one, if I were to sneakily jump
into your game and I'm higher level than you, the

(39:02):
game automatically made bad guys jump to the highest level possible. Yes,
so I would often jump into people's games, and unfortunately
it was always Tim and I wouldn't tell him and
he wouldn't notice, so I would join in. But the
way it worked is you would teleport to that person's
location when you joined, not currently, so by the time

(39:25):
he moved away, I was far enough back and then
all of a sudden, he can't do any damage bad
guys because they all jump to like max level at
that point. And all I'd hear is like I get
a text message fuck you Cody, or I'd like he
would jump on chat. It would be funny as hell
to me. So you can't do that anymore in this

(39:45):
in these games, so whatever, But you're also not trying
to fight for loot, which is the biggest thing. So
when you do one of the big things in this
game that they mentioned is when you go and you
go to a specific boss to try to get a
certain weapon or item, everybody has the potential for it
to drop. If it's not a guaranteed drop, it's like

(40:07):
one of those like it's a farming thing where you
potentially get it. Everyone has a chance to get it,
and it's not everyone. It's not a guarantee obviously, like
you're not always gonna get the drop, but if you
do and you're lucky to forget it, it can't get
got by somebody else because it popped up. It's it's
my lute is different than your loot, so I will
see different things, which also means when you open a

(40:29):
box it'll be different stuff too. And I believe you
can still trade. Uh So if like I'm looking for
a specific type of gun and you get it, you
can give it to me. Granted, yours would be thirty
seven when I'd be thirty, but I'd have it when
I got to thirty seven, versus having to wait for
RNG to maybe bless me, which we all know r
and Jesus is not gonna look favorably on me for

(40:50):
some strange reason. You know, ounce yourself an atheist and
all gods fucking turn on you.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (41:00):
Weird statement for someone who says they're atheist to say, rights,
I'm poly atheist.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
You don't believe in any of them.

Speaker 4 (41:10):
I don't believe in multiple gods.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
You don't believe in multiple gods.

Speaker 1 (41:15):
That's ridiculous. M hm hmmmm. Apparently. Uh, the Emmys were
last night?

Speaker 2 (41:29):
Were they and anything about them?

Speaker 1 (41:32):
The Penguin won like eight that's good for them, None
of them for acting, but I don't even know if
they were nominated for acting. But they did win for
Contemporary Makeup, which they should because that's what I'm saying, Like,
you can't. He's literally unrecognizable mm hmm. Like I look

(41:54):
at him in that the movie or the show, knowing
it's him, and I still can't see it. It's like
it's like a Mando type thing, dude, Like ninety seven
percent of the time when the helmet's on, it's not
Pedro Pascal. Yeah, It's like I know it's supposed to
be him, it just doesn't look like him. Like they

(42:16):
did such a good job with those prosthetics. It's fucking wild, dude,
No they didn't.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
I'm happy that they won as well because usually and
this isn't one of the bigger awards, to be honest, well,
I mean.

Speaker 1 (42:27):
It is a pretty big word for TV wise, it is,
it's the biggest, But.

Speaker 3 (42:31):
It always feels like superhero superhero adjacent movies or shows
just get shipped on, especially in those types of categories
like yeah, you know, costume design and makeup and whatnot,
even though like they utilize some of the most complex
especially when you're doing real costume design, costumes and makeup,

(42:52):
and they always lose out to some like period piece
and it's like, bro, seriously.

Speaker 1 (42:56):
Why Yeah, It's like you're we're taking something that was
drawn by hand in make believe land and making it
real and you're just recreating something that was real that
we have tangible photos of, maybe even like actual versions
of it. But these people are creating functional costumes. Now granted,

(43:20):
some of them are cg now as I got up,
but but some of them were full like Robert Pattinson's
Batman suit for example, that's a full on it's all him.
That bitch is there, yep. And it's like, bro, you
gotta take the fact that that's a human being has
to move around in that shit.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (43:40):
I mean like and then like Colin Ferrell for example,
like being transformed into this fucking this dude, like completely
different person. Yeah, like not only did he stress the
like the changing of the accent, and obviously he's not American,
uh and speaking an American accent. Uh, not just an
American accent, but like a hard like Chicago New Yorkian

(44:03):
type accent right on top of his English switch over.
And then you throw on all those prosthetics and like, bro,
that's a transformation. So yeah, you should get fucking like
they should have an oscar for it. And it's like
when they did the movie and it's like, nah, I'm like,
I don't understand this right, Like you could go to

(44:28):
somebody who doesn't know that's Colin farre and but hey,
by the way, that guy, that's that guy. What he
does he stand behind that guy? No? No, he is
that guy. What do you mean?

Speaker 2 (44:36):
What do you mean? Oh? God? So yeah.

Speaker 1 (44:41):
Interesting.

Speaker 3 (44:42):
Also again, just weird that I'm scrolling through news articles
here and I don't even see anything about the Emmys.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
Exactly the most advertised thing.

Speaker 1 (44:56):
Yeah, Award shows usually get shipped on oscars get the
most for because it's movies I'm like, well, that's that's
cool for them. But like the kind of work that
is being done on on TV nowadays, mm HM's sometimes
better mm hm. AnyWho was there anything else that was

(45:21):
going to bring up to you? Uh?

Speaker 3 (45:27):
It wasn't really anything else that I find or think
of this week.

Speaker 2 (45:35):
Have you caught up with Alien Earth?

Speaker 1 (45:38):
I'm two episodes behind. I haven't watched it since I
got back. I need to though.

Speaker 4 (45:44):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (45:45):
I finished uh old Man's War? Oh yeah, which I
think it was a really good book. Yea.

Speaker 3 (45:50):
It really was oddly enough and I was gonna text
you this and I just thought, naw.

Speaker 2 (45:55):
Whatever uh not whisper sync.

Speaker 3 (45:59):
Really yeah, there was no option for it unless I
totally missed it because I bought it while I was
on my phone, so I was using the mobile version
of the website. Just didn't see it, so I ended
up buying You won't recognize the name. If you recognize
the name the book, I will be surprised.

Speaker 2 (46:18):
And what it is. It's called Solomon's Minds.

Speaker 1 (46:22):
Oh yeah, I know? Sehn up? Do you? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (46:25):
What the fuck?

Speaker 1 (46:27):
I haven't opened the Kindle app. Sorry I didn't even
interrupt you. I haven't opened the kindle app in a while,
and it literally just tried to shit itself, trying to
load all my stuff that I've botten over the course
of time.

Speaker 4 (46:39):
Yeah, I know, Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (46:40):
Okay, I think to.

Speaker 3 (46:41):
Bothered to try it, which is okay, I shouldn't say,
I don't bother. It's funny because, first off, going back
to Old Man's War, it's funny funny to read this
book because this book actually came out in the nineties, right,
was this one of his earlier John Scully's earlier Ye.

Speaker 1 (46:59):
Yeah, I can't remember. It's either late nineties or early
two thousand, but yeah, it's it's one of his early
early ones.

Speaker 2 (47:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (47:07):
And then watching Alien Earth, it has like the exact
opposite of because Alien Earth in like literally the first
episode you find out that they're taking little kids and
transforming or transferring them into.

Speaker 2 (47:21):
Android bodies, essentially the diversion android bodies. Yea Old Man's War.

Speaker 3 (47:28):
It's literally taking an old person and transferring him into
younger bodies. So I thought that was a weird, weird
dichotomy of seeing it at the same time of you know,
watching this show doing that and then reading the book
or listening to the book really and and seeing that.

Speaker 2 (47:49):
But really good. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (47:51):
By the end of it, I was like, I really
enjoyed this. I might actually just go and just buy
the sequel and listen to that.

Speaker 1 (47:59):
I haven't alert shows it has whisper sinc on it
does it?

Speaker 2 (48:04):
Because when I logged in, it didn't show it at all.

Speaker 1 (48:07):
Yeah, it has the little uh on the because I
have only have the first three.

Speaker 2 (48:11):
Go to the go to the actual book page like
the on there. Okay, although it might, I don't know
how that will act. You've already purchased it, so oh.

Speaker 1 (48:20):
Yeah, I don't know if that's going to be the same.

Speaker 4 (48:22):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (48:26):
The Ternal List by Jack Carr. No, I don't want
the Ternal lists Old Man's War.

Speaker 3 (48:34):
Because if I go there, it should still show the
option to to add whisper sinc. Yes, it's the audio book.
Let's click on it and let's go back to the
Kindle version.

Speaker 1 (48:52):
Word Wise is available. It does not list it. Let's
see you go full details.

Speaker 2 (48:58):
Yeah, I'm still.

Speaker 3 (49:02):
Like even in book details Book one of seven print
link they three hundred and eight pages, language English, publisher
tour Books, Accessibility, learn more, publication, file size, page slip
word Wise Enhanced type setting.

Speaker 2 (49:16):
Nothing about whispers inc.

Speaker 1 (49:19):
Yeah, it's super weird and I.

Speaker 3 (49:23):
Don't see it anywhere myself, Like, yeah, it usually should
be right here, right around the purchase section.

Speaker 1 (49:31):
Yeah, we click a little box to add it.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
Yeah, and there's nothing there.

Speaker 1 (49:42):
Interesting. Yeah, I don't see it as an option at all,
like sings back to the same page. Huh, that's weird.
According to the kindle it is Whisper sync.

Speaker 2 (50:03):
So maybe it was at one point in time that's
when you.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
Got it maybe Yeah, I mean it's available for it, yeah,
but didn't give me the option for it, so I
didn't do it.

Speaker 3 (50:13):
So that's why I downloaded only the audio version of it.
And I don't, like I said a bunch of times,
very good book. I actually got halfway through it and
I was like, man, this would actually have been a
really good like video game.

Speaker 1 (50:29):
Yeah, oh yeah for sure.

Speaker 2 (50:31):
Yeah, like you could turn the story into a really
good video game.

Speaker 1 (50:36):
This says it was published in two thousand and seven.

Speaker 2 (50:39):
Okay, so not one of those earlier words.

Speaker 1 (50:40):
But early ish, but yeah, definitely yeah.

Speaker 3 (50:44):
Which, by the way, I was scrolling through my there
was one particular night where I couldn't sleep and I've
been doing this thing where I will try and read
books to help me sleep, which usually does and I
was scrolling. I got way far back, and mind you,
I'm on my Kindle. I got way far back into it,

(51:07):
and I realized that I had Red Shirts. I don't
recall reading Red Shirts, but I must have at one
point in time.

Speaker 1 (51:14):
Yeah, we've talked about it before.

Speaker 3 (51:16):
I thought we probably have, and I just do not remember.
And I was like, oh shit, and that's where I
that's why I remembered Old.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
Man's War didn't buy it.

Speaker 3 (51:24):
Then I actually started reading Sherlock Holmes because I also
had that on available on Kindle. I read the actual
book collection, but for some reason, I also have it
kindled anyway, that's what sparked me to go, oh, yeah,
that's right. Cody had sent me that link for Old
Man's Ward apparently was on sale. I went back and

(51:44):
purchased it there. I don't think it was on sale
when I purchased it, but whatever.

Speaker 2 (51:49):
And yeah, really good book.

Speaker 3 (51:51):
But no, the book that I'm actually reading right now
is Solomon's Mines, King, Solomon's Mines, whatever it is, sprites
that you actually know that you know right off the
top of your head for those who don't know.

Speaker 2 (52:05):
It was a weird thing that came up. I was
watching this podcast.

Speaker 3 (52:09):
I say a podcast is actually a YouTube channel called
Decoding the Unknown.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
They were talking about literally the biblical version of.

Speaker 3 (52:16):
King Sullivan's minds, and the story came up and I
had forgotten one of my favorite like bad movies.

Speaker 2 (52:27):
Technically, I think most people call it would call it
a bad movie.

Speaker 3 (52:32):
I thoroughly enjoy it, and I know Cody thoroughly enjoys
it as well.

Speaker 2 (52:35):
But it's The League of Extraordinary.

Speaker 4 (52:38):
Gentlemen based on.

Speaker 1 (52:41):
The Alan Moore comic books.

Speaker 2 (52:43):
Yeah, based on the Alan Moore comic book.

Speaker 3 (52:44):
Ye yeah, yeah, But all of the characters in it
were based on actual literary characters. At the time when
I first saw the movie, I didn't know that all
of the characters were I knew obviously, Dorry Gray, I
knew Doctor Jack from Mister Hyde and You the Invisible

(53:05):
Man Nemo from twenty Thousand Links under the Sea. I
don't remember the girl and what her original story was.

Speaker 1 (53:17):
Well, she's she's a vampire.

Speaker 4 (53:19):
Yeah, she's Jaculine bride.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
Okay, Jack Dracula's bride. But they had the other two
human characters in there, Alan Quatermain.

Speaker 4 (53:27):
And is it Billy the Kid Billy Kid?

Speaker 3 (53:29):
Yeah, yeah, okay, so obviously we know Billy the Kid
as you know, an actual American West Yeah folk hero
really in some ways a real person, but you know whatever.
But I didn't know Alan Cordmain was based off a
real person until later on that I found that, or
not based off a real person, but based off of
the book series.

Speaker 1 (53:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (53:49):
And anyway, while watching this Decoding the Unknown, that reminded
me of it, and I was like, well, you know what,
I'm looking for something to read. I will jump into
this and first book called Solomon's Minds or King Solovan's Mines. Surprisingly,
so far, I don't know if you've actually read it.
Not a bad book so far. I thought it would

(54:11):
be because it was written in like the it was
written in the eighteen eighties, so I thought it would
be like one of those like really difficult, like English
was different type of English back in the day type
of things. And I don't know if it's some sort
of maybe I'm reading some sort of like more modernization
translation a bit, but it's actually pretty good, very readable.

(54:34):
I was wondering because in the in the leave extraordinary gentlemen.
They do show quatermain spoiler work. He dies at the
end of the movie, but then credits role and you
find out that he's buried in Africa. But because he's
buried in Africa, he rises again. So the hint at

(54:55):
him kind of having like supernatural powers and so far.
No in the book, he's just a hunter in Africa,
not even like he's a good one, definitely, but not
even like a rich and famous one.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
He's just there. He's just a hunter who has happened
to have some life.

Speaker 3 (55:16):
Experience that intertwines him with the Solomon mines or the
legend of the Solomon Solomon's Minds, which he doesn't even
really seem to believe in at the beginning of the book,
but some rich dude has approached him and it's just like, Hey,
I'm trying to track down my brother who went after
the Solomon after King Solomon's minds and has got missing.

Speaker 2 (55:37):
Two years ago. As of two years ago.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
Would you, like, you know, would you help me do this?

Speaker 2 (55:43):
And he takes a day to.

Speaker 3 (55:44):
Think about it, or a day or a week or
something like to think about it, and he's finally like,
I'll do it as long.

Speaker 2 (55:52):
As you pay me a lot. And they're like, yeah, sure,
let's do it. Here's whatever you want.

Speaker 3 (56:00):
One He's like fucking sweet, all right, yeah, let's do this.
And that's basically where I'm at. They're they're now on
the way there. So it just seemed like a fun
action adventure type book.

Speaker 2 (56:10):
I haven't read one of the like a good action
adventure type book. You actually have it there, so you
do know.

Speaker 1 (56:15):
Yeah, I went on this weird I think I talked
to you about before I went on this weird like classics.

Speaker 3 (56:24):
Yeah, and I'll do that every once in a while too,
because I've read like the original Dracula, and I know
we've talked about that, Frankenstein.

Speaker 1 (56:30):
Frankenstein, Frankenstein, Mary.

Speaker 3 (56:34):
Frankenstein, and this is just another one of those types
of things, and I'd like to read more. Obviously, I've
read through all of Sherlock Holmes as well. I don't
think of any other like old book series that I've read.

Speaker 1 (56:46):
Speaking of Sherlock Holmes, look what I got as part
of Audible step it selling here still I haven't. I
didn't start it because man, it is so long, but
it's an entire Sherlock Holmes like collection.

Speaker 3 (57:06):
Yeah, he's probably the one that I've read. It's literally
all of these stories compiled into one book. I actually
physically have that book, which I physically read. It's out
of the living room right now, but I have the
kindle version of it on my.

Speaker 2 (57:24):
Kindle as well.

Speaker 1 (57:26):
Yeah, it's seventy one hours and fifty seven minutes.

Speaker 2 (57:31):
Yeah, that sounds like every single.

Speaker 1 (57:33):
Story, but it's it's narrated by Stephen Fry.

Speaker 2 (57:37):
Oh that's cool.

Speaker 1 (57:38):
Yeah. So I was like, well, I downloaded it, but
then I I didn't listen to it, so auto deleted
after a while. But I was like, seventy one hours, Like, that's.

Speaker 2 (57:46):
That's a that's like two Game of Thrones books.

Speaker 4 (57:49):
It seems like a lot.

Speaker 1 (57:50):
That is a lot. So yeah, I just finished read
listening to the third Old Man's War book called The
Last Colony, which is the last of the books I
read in that one. Because he's getting ready to release
a new book in that series.

Speaker 2 (58:08):
Amazon did say there was the seven.

Speaker 1 (58:10):
Books, Yeah, the seventh one's about to come out, about
to come out, okay, yeah, not that I was like obviously,
just I saw it was on sale because of the
new one coming out. And I was like, oh'll tell
Joe about it. And then I was like, well, I
just re listened to it, and then I was like
I'd burned through the first three.

Speaker 3 (58:30):
Very easy to listen to it. Like I said, it
was such a good it's such a good listen to that.
I was literally hopping into my truck and just be
like a play yep, and then just listening on my
way to work, on my way home and whatnot. It
was not something I was getting tired of. It was
just like, holy shit. I remember even one point I
got home and it was a scene where just after

(58:52):
the first his first encounter with the god the alien
names just escape me, but the bug like guys, where
you found the new fire Oh yeah, yeah yeah, And
he's like literally firing fireman carrying that one dude back
and they were they were stopped by the higher up.

Speaker 2 (59:09):
So I was like, oh my god, what's going to happen?

Speaker 3 (59:12):
And I sat there in my driveway just listening to
just that one little like it's not even like a
big eventful scene. I was just like more entrenched in,
like you know, what the hell is going to happen
right there? And this little tiny scene happening, and eventually
it was just like the scene kept going and I.

Speaker 2 (59:25):
Was like, ah, I have to, I have to. I'll
finish it tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (59:29):
Pause, so you throw in your earbuds, Joe and just listen.

Speaker 2 (59:33):
I didn't have my earbuds on me. I was coming
home from work.

Speaker 4 (59:36):
Well that's your fault.

Speaker 2 (59:38):
I guess it is my fault.

Speaker 3 (59:39):
Yeah, but yeah, very good, Like I said, even got
to the I got to the end and I was like,
I was still on my way to work, and it
was like, oh, hey, and here's an excerpt from the
next book.

Speaker 2 (59:49):
I was like, yes, yes, so I didn't have to think.

Speaker 3 (59:52):
About what to listen to my my jeep on the
way to work, and I'm listening to it and it
suddenly I don't even think I got the first.

Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
It like literally cuts off middle, cut off, like yeah,
the middle of sentence. I was like, uh what.

Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
Yeah, because when I was getting ready, when I was
I was getting the end of Old Man's War and
I was like, well, I'm just gonna listen to the
next one. So I was like I loaded up the
Ghost Brigade and I was like, all right, cool. I
added next and for some reason, audible didn't play it.
It went into previews of other stuff and it did that.
It literally played a preview of uh of that one,
and I was like, why are you why aren't you playing?

(01:00:28):
I put it and I played it, said play next,
why aren't you playing? Whatever? And it's like literally going
through and it cuts off mid like midward, and I
was like.

Speaker 4 (01:00:36):
How the fuck is that a preview?

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
Yeah? Right?

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
Did you motherfuckers not even edit this like you just
like a I just made this for you or what?

Speaker 5 (01:00:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
Did you leave it on some sort of time limit? No,
you get one minute. It was like it used to
be like one chapter, you get one minute.

Speaker 4 (01:00:49):
Yeah, okay, I guess I got one minute. Cheap asses seriously.

Speaker 1 (01:00:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:00:55):
So anyway, so I am looking for a new book
to actually listen to. I don't know if i'll I'll
maybe because I'm not the type of person that likes to,
you know, jump right into the next book. Maybe I'll
get something else.

Speaker 1 (01:01:08):
Well, because we also have.

Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
A couple of books coming out here very soon, Dan around.

Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
The Secret of Secrets comes out.

Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
And end of this month or the beginning of next month.

Speaker 1 (01:01:20):
I think it's Tuesday, right.

Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
Is it tuesday?

Speaker 4 (01:01:24):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
No, you're you might be right, because we talked about
this in the beginning of August and this is actually
the beginning of September, so it comes out Tuesday. So
maybe I'll just hold out until then, you know, watch
Well I'm not watch the Apple Well maybe I will
watch the Apple event, but I'll have to do it
for work.

Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
Yeah. So because I got uh, I got this, yes,
which I was going to go buy a physical copy
of it, and Barnable only had three and all of
them had fucked up dust covers, m and one has
damaged pages and they're still all on the shelf.

Speaker 2 (01:02:04):
I mean, someone's gonna buy it. I'm like, I just
it'll sit there and tell those you know, discount and
then someone will.

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
And I haven't been too another Barns are able to
get one, so like just the one here, I was.

Speaker 4 (01:02:15):
Like, fuck you guys, sons of bitches.

Speaker 1 (01:02:25):
Yeah, so I have that one, and then well it
it re added King Salomon's mind because I clicked on
it by accident to show you that I have it
and just realized it's like, oh, yeah, here it is.
I'm like, I don't want to read or whatever, but
I need to, like, I have that one. Uh, I
need to finish the Why is that one? Say I'm

(01:02:46):
not done with it? I read that one whatever, or
listen to it, and then.

Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
It does that you'll finish the book version, and for
some reason it just never sinks over.

Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
No, it's finished, finished, finished, finished, finished.

Speaker 1 (01:02:58):
What I got the Chronicles of Narnia Complete audio collection
that I got. I have to start that one. Oh,
I don't. I didn't buy that one. I was like,
I didn't buy Neuromancer.

Speaker 4 (01:03:16):
It's on there though.

Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
I've thought about that being my next cyberpunk type book
to go.

Speaker 3 (01:03:24):
Read Snoone, Crash wasn't bad, was pretty decent, but just
really fucking weird.

Speaker 4 (01:03:32):
It's so fucking bizarre, dude.

Speaker 3 (01:03:35):
But again, neurom Answer is one of those books that
for like another you know, pivotal cyberpunk book that everything
references and you're like, all right, I guess I'll give
it a shot.

Speaker 2 (01:03:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
And then the new Joe Hill book comes out in October.
Mm hmmm, I think there's a little new new ones
I have. Wait, did I did I buy that?

Speaker 5 (01:04:02):
Well?

Speaker 1 (01:04:02):
I gotta listen to that apparently about the about the
the storyteller tales in the life of music of Dave Grohl.
Not listening to that, but I have that apparently.

Speaker 2 (01:04:14):
Forgot that that came out to year ago.

Speaker 1 (01:04:17):
Yeah, sound like the I think that's all the ones
that are coming up that they have on here. But yeah,
so lots of stuff, lots of stuff, and I knew
I haven't got it yet, but I'm probably getting new
Joe amber Crombie book The Doubles, because that was recommended

(01:04:39):
to me by multiple writers that I follow.

Speaker 3 (01:04:44):
That's a he's another author, the same with John Scalzi
that always pops up in the subterranean press.

Speaker 2 (01:04:51):
Yeah. I always see those those guys, and.

Speaker 3 (01:04:52):
I like, never read a Joe amber Crombie book.

Speaker 2 (01:04:58):
Maybe one of these days I will, since it seems
to pop up there all the time. It'll see after
you read it and see how it is.

Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
Yeah, I'll check it out. I don't know when I'll
get to it, but it's on the list to get
all right, uh any who, I think that's it for
this week's episode of Comes Naturally. Yep, we have been Joe,
I've been Cody, and as usual, you fuckers just came naturally.

Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
Bye.
