On this week's episode, the guys kick things off by diving into some exciting news regarding the highly anticipated adaptation of the beloved video game series Mass Effect, which is set to be released on Prime Video. This adaptation has generated a significant amount of buzz among fans of the franchise, as they eagerly await how the intricate narratives and rich character development of the games will be translated to the screen. Joe expresses his enthusiasm for the project, discussing the potential challenges and opportunities that come with adapting such a complex universe, particularly the need to capture the essence of iconic characters like Commander Shepard and the various alien races that populate the galaxy. Following this engaging conversation, Joe shares his experiences with a new game he recently started playing, the charming cat adventure game Stray. He describes the immersive gameplay that allows players to navigate a dystopian world from the perspective of a stray cat, highlighting the game's stunning visuals and the emotional depth of its storytelling. Joe elaborates on the unique mechanics that set Stray apart from other titles, such as the ability to interact with the environment in a distinctly feline manner, and how this adds a layer of creativity to the gameplay experience. As the discussion progresses, Cody takes the opportunity to bring up some intriguing news about another adaptation, this time focusing on the comic book series Wytches, created by writer Scott Snyder and artist Jock. He delves into the dark and atmospheric themes of the comic, which explores the concept of fear and the monsters that dwell within human psyche. Cody shares his thoughts on how the adaptation could potentially capture the haunting visuals and chilling narrative that made the original comic so compelling, and he speculates about the creative direction the production team might take. Shifting gears, Joe then tells Cody about several new shows he has been watching over the past week, starting with the animated series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch available on Netflix. He discusses the show’s gripping plot that revolves around espionage and covert operations, and how it builds upon the lore established in the popular video game franchise. Joe highlights the impressive voice acting and animation quality, which enhance the overall viewing experience, and he reflects on how the series manages to stay true to the source material while also introducing fresh elements. Finally, Joe continues his watchlist by mentioning the new season of The Witcher, a series that has captivated audiences with its blend of fantasy, adventure, and complex character arcs. He shares his excitement about the latest developments in the storyline and how the characters evolve throughout the season. Joe discusses the show's ability to weave intricate plots and rich world-building, making it a standout in the fantasy genre. He expresses his anticipation for future episodes and the potential twists that could arise in the ongoing saga of Geralt of Rivia. Through their engaging discussions, the guys provide an entertaining and insightful look into the latest in adaptations and gaming, appealing to fans across multiple mediums.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo yo. Fairly Taj didn't like being called a cunt.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
I'll probably could. It's a little too close to home.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
That's fair. I think he's been a little bit about it.
But whatever, what is up, my dude?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Nothing up? Nothing much? Geez nothing up? Uh yeah no, uh,
not a whole lot. Took the truck in yesterday to
get engine uh check, engine light diagnosed and turned off
on the way there.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah, right. Just turns out that there was apparently air
in the cooling system for the back. I imagine when
they replaced the battery a few months ago, they probably
just didn't flush the coolant system fully of air accidentally
left a bubble in there. Yeah. So they were like, yeah,

(01:13):
we just burped you cheap, you know, slung it over
the shoulder, give a little pat pat, gave it a
little burp, and it was ready to go. Also had
the power steering fluid was apparently low too. This all
started because last week I get a change change oil

(01:34):
soon notification and my remote start stopped working. I was like, well,
that's not good. And then of course I was able
to look up the life percentage of the oil and
it's like you're at two percent and I was like,
you couldn't have warned me earlier A at B, Like
I just had the oil change back in July. Apparently,

(01:56):
like the hybrids and cars nowadays, like have some sort
of fancy calculations that they have for like oil change,
and they'll to'll let you know when when the oil
should be changed. It's probably dependent on like moisture in
the air and this and that and bl blah blah blah.
When I started dragging my feet on that, I was like,

(02:17):
I'll get that done.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Sometime soon, you know whatever, sometime soon.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
And then on Tuesday night, the check engine light, Like
I'm literally pulling into the driveway of the house and
it's like check engine light. And I was like, oh,
sh yes. Hit it with the OBD the next day
to see what the code was, and it was just
like a control valve be stuck in closed position or

(02:42):
something like that. But the truck ran fine. So drove
it for the next couple of days back and forth
to work and schedule an appointment to drop the truck
off over at the dealership to have it looked at.
But then literally go to try drop it off Saturday morning,
hop in the truck hit power and like it goes
off and it's like, oh cool. So I dropped it

(03:06):
off over there and I'm letting them know that the
check engine light was on and they're like, well, if
you want to drop it off for the diagnostic, we
won't be able to look at it for a week.
And I was like, oh, I mentioned too that on Wednesday.
I was like, well, maybe it's a probably with the
oil or something. So I literally ran over the valvele
in place to get the oil changed in the morning

(03:28):
and they were like, hey, you your power steering is
like non existent, but you have a hybrid and we
have no idea if the the power steering fluid that
we have would work with your vehicle. So that's why
I took it over. Another reason when to go over
to the dealership and they did a whole flush of

(03:49):
the system and they checked the engine. They ended up
checking the engine light and they're like, yeah, you just
had to earn the system. So we just burped it
and it was like, oh, thank god, it didn't cost
me to sun an arm and a leg to get fixed.
I mean, it's still two hundred and twenty dollars to
get the power steering and flushed and refilled. But I

(04:10):
was like so expecting, like, way much more. I was
just like, oh thank god, Oh thank god, I'm gonna
have a little bit of extra money.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Left over this month we had we had to put
a new pump in.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yeah, the witch car.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
No saying what they were gonna say to you, Oh
oh yeah, No.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
I was expecting, like you're googling this stuff of like, okay,
what is a what is a control valve be? And
how much does that cost? And then of course, like
either the AI or other reddit not Reddit, but four
amusers are like, oh yeah, that's anywhere from like five
hundred to one thousand dollars. And I'm like, oh no,
please no, please don't oh god no please no, please know. Yeah,

(04:54):
so at least it only it's only that and the
the truck's back already. It's just like nice, yeah, please,
let's not have another issue for a while. Just give
me a year, one year, one year of no issues, please.
I have yet to have that, even though I've only
paid for one of those issues. Yeah, I realized I

(05:19):
bought a jeep. Don't get me wrong, I know what
you're saying. With stupid idiot, you bought a jeep like
those things break down like no tomorrow, Like you're an idiot.
I know you don't have to tell me. I can
read your mind.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
I wasn't gonna say nothing, I know.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
But I like the ability to think that I have
the ability to be able to do like fancy stuffy
show road stuff. That's why I got the hybrid too,
because then I just run off electricity to go back
and forth on the way to work. I realize right
now it's for the past year it's been a pavement princess.
I don't care. I'm afraid to take it off the road.

(05:59):
And I mean, you know what I mean off road,
like you know a couple of pebbles.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
I mean driving down the fucking camelback. Yeah, let alone
is off road, and sometimes it is, Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
That's my main thing for this week was just getting
that done and getting the anxiety and finally getting over
the anxiety of just like, okay, I didn't have to
pay it, just ship to the money to get this
thing fixed.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
So almost chopped my finger off.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Okay, that's a that's a story.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Yeah, and it's fine. It just has a little weird
like bruise area. But I almost like I don't know
if you can see it because it's kind of healed,
but like right there, yeah, I see that. Yeah, it
got caught in a in a washing machine, not like
in the washing machine, but part of it. When I
was taking it apart.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
They get pretty sharp corners.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Yeah, and it got pinched. But luckily, like it was
along the top, so it just like pinched it and popped
off off. And I was like, well, that's good, because
that'd be an interesting story to tell why part of
my pinky is inside a washing machine.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Bro it hurt like so bad too. I thought it
was broken. I was like, oh my god, dude, I
broke the last part of my pinky. Like I don't
even know how, Like what would you do for that?
Just chop it off and say you have a nice day.
You're not putting a cast on it.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
You got that insurance where you could lose a pinky
and get like ten thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
I do. Yeah, actually, there you go. I don't want
to lose.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
A pinky, though, lose half a pinky.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
It's like, well it wouldn't it be a third of
a pinky though?

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Well, yeah, the top joint because yeah, just just lose
the I mean, what does the top part do for
you anyway? And then you could just be like, I'm
man in a secret society.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Don't tell anyone what's the thing when they just when
in the Japanese mob when it is yeah, is it?
It's not something that's the one we established.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Something established. I have actually no idea what they call it,
but it is that type of like, you know, prove
your not believe or faith, but loyalty. Yeah, could improve
your loyalty to us. Chop off some part of the finger.
I don't remember which one. Yeah, see, that's what I means.
You could be like I'm in a secret society.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
No, don't ask, don't ask. Yeah, that was a I've
brought with the most uh, I don't know, exciting part
of my week. I guess.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Fair enough, fair enough.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
M hmm. Nobody's fault but my own.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Right.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Apparently there's been an update for the Mass Effect TV
show oddly enough came out on on November seventh, was
when this was A and seven. Yeah mm hmmm, conspiracy. Well,
how longer was sitting on this fucking article waiting? They're like, well,
we wrote it seventeen months ago, but we were.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Waiting for it and said November seventh and seventh day. Yeah,
imagine if that becomes a thing like this actually takes
off and they're like, this is end seven day.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
I mean, it's interesting because like, in a way, I
would want them to like give us the story of
one through three, right, because that was a very compelling
with Shepherd blah blah blah. Right, But then like you're
gonna have people say, well, yeah, but Sheppard could be
a male or a female, So what you gonna choose.
It's like, oh, first off, shut out.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Not only that, but there were so many other choices
in that, and you know that there'd be so many
people complaining about it. We can talk about it in
a few minutes too. But I managed to watch the
first episode of The Witcher as well, not the first
episode of the first episode of season four as well.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
I was like, you've already seen the first episode of
Witcher season.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Before I even watched that. I already talked to some
people at work and they were not the person I
was talking to, but they were. They'd asked someone else
and the other person was like, it's not anywhere near
the source material. Bah blah. Anyway, they will finish up
the I don't want to bird walk via anyway.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Yeah, so this is coming from the show runner of
the show. So basically it says it's been in development
since two thousand and one. What's happening is it's still
chugging along and they have a writer's room going on.
The Doug Jong I think is how you say his

(10:42):
name is the show runner he's working along with. I
don't know why they credited Daniel Casey as as Fast
and Furious nine writer because I'm pretty sure he wrote
like over half of those movies, but I could be wrong. Anyways, Yeah,
you know that's the I used to Yes, that's the news.
Is that the newest credit he has? Is that why

(11:04):
they put that on there? Because sometimes that's what they do.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Maybe damn was the last one? Right?

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Uh yeah, yeah, that's definitely not how.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Maybe he didn't do ten, he was just did nine.
In the last one.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
I could just swear he worked like on all of them.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
He was just like that, this last one's got a
little too crazy for me.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Oh, actually, no, I'm mistaken. He only wrote on one
on on just nine what I think he did more
mm hmm. Anyways, he was also the co writer of
ten Cloverfield Lane, which honestly you and I know from
a certain director, right, and then he worked he wrote

(11:54):
the movie Ken. I don't know if you ever I
don't think you ever saw. It's a cool sci fi
movie that came out and two thousands, Hold up, two
thousand and when did this come out? Eighteen? Yeah, it
was cool, but it was like this weird movie where
like this this kid finds this alien gun after he

(12:18):
witnesses aliens kill these like dudes because the kid's in
there take in a construction rate area.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
It's that movie. Yeah, I never saw it, but now
that you described it, like, yes, I remember seeing it, going,
oh I should watch that. I watched it.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Yeah, no, it's cool. It was like it was like
obviously they shoehorned in a sci fi element into like
this family drama. Well it had a so it had
a couple, so it was like the father was played
by Dennis Quaid. James Franco was in it, he plays

(12:56):
the main bad guy. Zoe Kravitz was in it, and
then Jack Rayner was like the older brother in it.
But yeah, you saw like a bunch of faces and
you're like, oh, I know that person and that person, and.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
I was like, I don't remember seeing those people in
the trailer, but the older brother.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Yeah, yeah, so pretty cool. It was a pretty fun
movie too, Like this, the special effect are actually pretty
cool because there was like this slow down time effect
that the aliens used, or doesn't technically specify their aliens.
I think they're like more time traveler people. It doesn't
actually matter. But the gun was pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
In between dimensions.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Yeah, it was one of those things. So, and he
wrote and directed a bunch of stuff that I've never
heard of. But anyways, uh, I thought he did more
of the Fast series, but whatever. Anyways, so he is
working with the writer's room. The quote from the company

(13:58):
from the studio, not just not just the team, so
the actual like you know, the people who make BioWare,
who actually make the games, says, the writer's room is
going strong. We've got a lot of a lot to
figure out about how it fits into the Mass Effect
canon and where it sits in respective to the new game.

(14:21):
Oh mm hmm. That's just a let's just slide that
right in this quote. The show will explore a brand
new story within the universe's timeline and will be set
in the original trilogy or be set set after the
original trilogy. It won't retread Captain Shepherd or Commander Shepherd's
story because after all, your that's your story, isn't it,

(14:42):
Which is referring to the decision what you were saying
early about the decisions you make, which I think is
a like I said, I would love to see like
that story be told, because that was a really, really
well done story. And obviously a lot of the plot,
the main plot points all stay the same. It's the
sub plots and the characters you lose or gain because

(15:04):
of the choices you make or things like that. You know,
characters join you because of the things you do. Characters
don't join you because of the things you do. Certain
characters die because the things you do. Whatever, right, But
I think that's I mean, that story is super cool,
so I would have liked to see that. But it
would also be nice just to see like the world
of mass effect explored, or the universe of mass effect explored.

(15:28):
So that's what they're saying in this, But that's all
the details they have in there. There's obviously, you know,
just plugging away and trying to create something that's worthy
of being in the Mass Effect universe.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Yeah, I'm definitely down to watch this. I can't say
that I can't wait for it, you know, I can.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Yeah, and I will, and I will.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Because I have to. But I am glad that they aren't,
you know, I am glad in a way that there
aren't going to just go back and try and tell
the story of Mass Effect. Like you said, it's it's
a long story. There's a lot of choices that they
could they could make, so, yeah, built something within the
world that takes place afterwards and we're just dealing with

(16:17):
the fallout of the Reaber invasion. They will have to
probably take a side like what what was the final
thing that happened? Because what you had three and then
they added a fourth one later was a different color ending,
you know, blue green?

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Was there three originally? Three?

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Originally you had Indoctrination, which was I think you joined
the reapers.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Yeah, you had.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
The green ending, which I think turned off a lot
of the turned off the mass relays and a lot
of the technolology or something like that. And then you
had a third ending. You know, God, now I don't remember.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Yeah, I'd have to look it up. To remember. It's
been it's been a while.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
All I can remember is I think I had the
Green ending because I remember Joker on the ship with
the AI and they're on they like landed on a
planet or something like that, and I don't know, got
it on. That was my impression of what the Green
ending was.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
In fact, ended in penetration, you know, as most most
things should.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Uh Yeah. Three three main outcomes Destroy controls synthesis. The
destroy ending Commander Shepherd activates a super weapon called the
Crucible to wipe about all the Reapers, which also destroys
all advanced synthetic life that including ed I the potentially
and potentially Shepherd if they have cyberad enhancements. The Control ending,

(18:02):
Shepherd's consciousness is uploaded into the Reapers to control them.
Then new AI based Shepherd takes over. The Synthesis ending
involves merging all organic and synathetic life forms, creating a
new hybrid form of existence. That's the one I think
I chose. That's the Green ending. Yeah, so three endings
at bet first.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
And two of those basically sacrifice Shepherd.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Because ye I saw it, they all sacrificed Shepherd.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
Well, I was gonna say the AI one live, he
lives on or they live on. But like as the
Reaper Hive minds.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
I think he still died.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
That's true, depends on your definition of alive. I guess yeah,
it's one of.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Those things like I vaguely remember the ending cut scenes
and the color green is just like everywhere in it.
But he was still on the station and I don't
recall him like having an ending at all. But anyway,

(19:12):
so yeah, that's what I means, like they'll have to
like choose one of those endings. That's the only choice
that they have to make. What will be the canonical
ending for it?

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Well, because and Ramata technically it's in the does that
fall within the green then.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
I don't know. I actually own and Drama. I meant
to play it, and I never did.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
It wasn't it was so buggy, it was like.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Oh, which is one of the reasons why I pushed
it off of playing it and then just forgot about it.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
Let's see if mass effect in Drameda does it tell
me navigation combat? No multiplayer synopsis. For some reason, mister

(20:20):
Crabs is noted because he plays the voice of Alec
Ryder in the game. Oh it's set between the events
of two and three, so they don't choose an they
don't choose which ending it is. That's what it was.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
I know.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
It was like I was like, wait, and it doesn't
talk about it because the Reapers are.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Still play in a different universe, like they something about there.
They they were able to use the mass Relay in
order to fling themselves into another galaxy, was it or
something like that, And so that's how they kind of
just avoid of avoid to any part of the rest

(21:02):
of the story.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
Yeah, each race sends twenty thousand citizens on a one way,
six hundred year journey to Helios Cluster located Andrama aboard
their own sleepership called an arc.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
No. So it's literally I guess I didn't know that
or didn't really pay attention to that. It's literally just hey,
the Reapers are coming to invade our universe. Let's just
send people to survive in another place.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Yeah. Because Mass Effect and Drama begins in twenty one
to eighty five, between the events of Mass Effect two
and Mass Effect three, the four Citadel Council races and
the Koreans are planning to populate a new home world.
Our new home worlds and then Drama Galaxy is part
of a strategy called the Andromeda Initiative. Each race sends

(21:55):
twenty thousand citizens on a one way, six hundred year
journey to Helios cluster're located in and Ramaa aboard their
own sleepership called the Arc, which is kind of a
generic name for something that goes that far. But you know,
arc has its meaning as long as you're religious person
from Earth. But the rest of the galaxy should note
that is Anyhow, the in select leaders known as the Pathfinder.

(22:19):
Once the races arrive and their destination in twenty eight
or twenty eight nineteen, they helped building the Nexus, a
space station that serves as a center of the government
and diplomacy, a living area, and a base of operation
for the Pathfinders. There you go.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
So technically Andromeda basically takes place six hundred years in
the future from from mass effect.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Yeah, and not in a different universe or different galaxy.
So like they don't the Reapers may not have.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Reach over there.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Yeah, like they may. We don't know how far their
reach went, we I mean, because we well I guess.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
So don't know where they're coming from too.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
Yeah, I was say we actually don't know where they
even came from, because they arrived, and.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
They arrived every so many centuries.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
Yeah, I was gonna say, I can remember how how
many years was it, but I guess it was like
a long time, and we just kind of like fought
them off, and then like this last group was like
a little more organized and like way more advanced, and
they're like, well, we did not do this.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Well, it's interesting to think that that that game takes
place then six hundred years after the events of.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Of Mass Effect in eight twenty eight nineteen, following a
six hundred and thirty four year journey aboard the Arc Hyperion,
Writer awakens in the Helios Well, yeah, gotta add in
those ones. Huh. Writer awakens in the Helios cluster of
the Andromeda Galaxy. Hyperion strikes a dark energy cloud. Oh

(23:59):
that's right, the mcguffin cloud.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
The mcguffin cloud. I have no idea about any of this.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Yeah, it's I mean, I literally played this in twenty
seventeen when it came out, and then I didn't I
don't think I even finished it because it was so
buggy right away. Like when I say buggy, there's like
the point where you meet this character whose name I
can't remember right now, and they're holding their gun wrong

(24:27):
and so it never shoots okay, And I'm like, are
you serious right now? Even if the animation's bug, it
still should shoot the gun, right, but it never shoots,
and they're just like stuck in place. I'm like, oh,
my fucking god, dude.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
That reminds me. I branded. I was playing Stray last
night and I was leaving like five, five, ten minutes
into playing it, and I'm early, I'm relatively early in
the game where I had to basically find three boots
or no, yeah, to find I have to find this
character that will give you a quest to find three books.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
And they're they're like, oh, you see that sign up there,
that's that's where the character is. And I'm like, okay,
so you know, you go over to the general area
on the ground. I was like, okay, I can jump
up on there. There there anyway I get like, I
jump up on an ac unit, I jump up onto
this overhang, and then I jump up to another overhang,
and then suddenly the cat would just like teleport back

(25:26):
to the overhang the lower overhang. I was like, the
fuck so I do it again and immediately teleports back down.
So I was like, okay, well, maybe I hit like
a out of bounds area even though the game says
I could jump up there. So I jump to the
down to the ground, teleports back up to the up
to the awning. I was like, uh, am, I stuck.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
You live on this an now, Joe.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
I live on this auning. Apparently now everything that I
tried to, uh to get off of and go around,
I just kept teleporting. After a few seconds, it just
be like teleport back. I was like, oh my god,
all right, well I'm going to reload the last save
and hopefully fix this. Uh reloads the last save and
I'm like, I know this is a correct way, and

(26:08):
I go back there and everything works out this time.
I was like, okay, So that was just a weird bog.
But yeah, cool, cool games so far.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Yeah, the game's really fun. It gets pretty intense at
certain points too, when you when you start interacting with
like the enemies of the game.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Yeah, that that was a weird thing because I'm playing
it on PC, so initially when I played. When I
started playing it, I was using mouse and keyboard. Even
though the game is like, hey, best played.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
On controller, Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
So yesterday I was like, oh, I'll play it on
controller and see how it is. And you know, having
played the tutorial on PC, you know with keyboard and mouse,
I'm literally having to learn what the buttons are. I
could look them up, but learning what the buttons are
for the game pad. I get to those enemies and

(26:55):
I'm like, how the I know you could run? How
the fuck do you run with the game pad? I'm
hitting all kinds the buttons that I would normally know,
you know, how to run as and nothing is working. Uh,
and I'm just dying, dying, dying, dying. And then finally
I realized that the right trigger button is run, but
it has like a delay on it. That's why I
never That's why I didn't figure.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
It out right away, because hold.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
To hold it down and then and then go, and
then the cat starts running and I'm like, oh my god,
this is so much easier now. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
You have to like you hit it and then you
move in a direction and starts running that way, and
it starts running that way.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
Yeah, and it was just like, oh my god, Okay,
this is so much easier now anyway, So that's what
I'm playing, no straight, but.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
I do love that game.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
What uh? What uh is Master Effect coming out on
is an Amazon?

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (27:47):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (27:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (27:49):
They seem to have picked up a lot of the gaming,
so many stuff and just making that stuff, which which
I'm fine with. I just wish that, you know, since
they're doing another sci fi venture show that takes place
across multiple universes, they could just finish the first.

Speaker 1 (28:04):
Fucking one that they had that they took. That they took, yes,
but they they said, hey, we're gonna save this and
then not give it an actual real ending, your sons
of bitches.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
I'm still just hoping that they are waiting for the
actors to actually age up.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
It's a work. They're just working us the entire time.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Just you know, yeah, exactly, wait for the actors to
to naturally age up, and then we'll finish out the
last what two seasons or whatever that they would have planned,
because there were like two two books left over or
something like that. After that. That's my conspiracy theater, I know,
I've mentioned it before. That's my hope.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
Speaking of Prime Video, apparently they are working on a animated
adaptation of Witches by a Scott Snyder and Shock I
guess would be the other.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
There's a name I haven't heard.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Yeah, animated is wild because they really need to figure
out a way to make Jock's art animated. That would
be cool because he made that shit epic as fuck.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Dude, I mean, might as well. If you're going to
animate it, might as well paying for that style.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Well that's what they did with Invincible.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
Yeah, that's true. Yeah, I didn't even think about that.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
So Scott teamed with iconic artist Jock the sixth issue
series and from Image Comics, which has followed Young Sailor
Rooks and her parents. Blah blah blah blah. Oh here
it goes through. The updates been sporadic since gave his

(29:51):
fans a big update when he sat down with Heroes Journey,
which is a podcast uh teasing and exciting cast and
plans for the second season. Wait is the first season out?
What's that's impossible?

Speaker 2 (30:08):
How do you spell that? That? Again? Isn't it with
like a y?

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Yeah? W y t c hs t c hs O
R sorr ees sorry w y t c h E
s My bad?

Speaker 2 (30:21):
Season one, which is TV series Gordon Damed oh no,
that's a that is that is wait, what the fuck
just happened? I know that's not it? Okay, fandom order

(30:41):
is no, it doesn't look like they ordered the series
on February eighth, twenty twenty three, according to fandom, which
is fandom dot com and.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
I guess I'm just happy with it.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Well, on November fifteenth, the highlight episode was finished. Of
twenty twenty three. On December eleventh, twenty twenty three, three
out of eight episodes were complete. But that's all, it says.
So three out of eight episodes is complete. First three
episodes complete? Twitter? What the hell?

Speaker 1 (31:20):
So?

Speaker 2 (31:20):
According to Scott Snyder three years ago, three out of
eight which is episode oh episodes scripts are basically complete. Jesus, Like,
come on, guys, you couldn't have had scripts in there.
You said, three out of the eight episodes is complete.
All right, I don't trust this website anymore. Back out.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
Oh okay, I'm seeing this. They have the full if
you go below has everything. So while we are still
waiting for official announcement of the animated adaptation, Scott Snyder
was able to reveal that Witches has locked down its cast,
even if it wasn't able to reveal it yet. Let
me let me think what I'm allowed to say. I'm

(32:02):
not allowed to tell you the cast yet, which is amazing.
It was a small confirmation but one that should be
should excite fans prime video, other comic navitations. I don't
know why this has to get into this, but so
they they basically got greenlit for a second season.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Okay, so from all the early stuff that has been
going on, they said, we liked it great season two. Gotcha.
That's cool. I like them doing that rather than just
waiting for numbers and being like, let's see what the
numbers say.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Yeah, okay, all right, all right, that's cool.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
I hope that is first off twenty twenty three, and
it's not done yet. Man, they are taking their time
on it, which hopefully means that they really are doing
his artwork on it. Yeah, style of art in it.
But that has to be like soon. But it wouldn't

(33:07):
be nice to have them be like, hey, this is
our horror thing every October. Yeah, so expect to expect
a new season every October.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
Yeah. Netflix, Hey, by the way, we have this really
popular horror show. We're gonna wait till the end of
November for the fucking maybe July Horror.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
In July, just like Christmas in July, everything in July.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
Thanksgiving in July, bro dude. And like they they release uh,
Gimo de Toro's Frankenstein, right.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Yes, it's on my watch list.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
So they release it in select theaters like midway through October,
right whatever, But the premiere on Netflix where a majority
of people are gonna watch it is in November.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
What the fuck? Dude.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
I don't get it either. But then then again, we've
said this tons of times with the Conjuring movie and
stuff like that, where it's just like, Okay, it's got
a March release, and you're like, it's a horror movie,
you know, when people would really want to watch a
movie like that, especially since there hasn't been any release,
any good released horror movies in a long time, in
a month in that certain month October October, when people

(34:18):
that there are at their peak scurriness, release a good
horror movie, then not wait until March or whatever. It
is just like why, I don't know. I'll still never
understand executives and whatnot. I can understand if like, oh,
we're releasing this movie and it will attract the same

(34:39):
audiences as other Why movies, So we're gonna move it
because we think the other movies can be more popular.

Speaker 1 (34:44):
Fine, but makes no sense to me.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
It's a horror movie. Put it in October sometimes, especially
at the beginning, get people to really the ability to
marinate in that stuff.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
So here's a bigger quote about the Witches. So it
says Witches is possibly my most personal work. This is
from Snyder. By the way. It is all about monsters
that dwell beneath the surface of things, both literally and figuratively.
I've been intimately involved with this animated series from the start,

(35:22):
and I can honestly say that I love the show
as much as the book, if not more. The animation
brings the incredible art of Jock to life in the
and the episodic format expands the world of which is
taking the characters in mythology to terrifying new places. Jock
and I are deeply grateful to plan Be Entertainment and

(35:46):
Kevin Cloyde and Amazon Studios for believing in Witches and
giving us a chance to make the show dark, personal, twisted,
and very special. So that's why they've been obviously stating
on it versus trying to rush it out, which I'm
fine with.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
Like I said, it sounds like they are actually really married.
They're really going to take their time with especially probably
the art and whatnot.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Yeah. So since here the first season again is being animated,
the second season is being written, and we're really excited.
I can't wait. Invincible has done great for them as
kudos to Robert Kirkman and Ryan Ottley and everyone over
there too for paving the way for the kind of

(36:35):
r R rated animated adult stuff coming. I'm really excited
for this. All right, all right, I like that. I
like that update. That's great.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
I was scrolling through, I was like, why does that
artwork look like Witches? And that's like, oh, which is
cat House? Oh no?

Speaker 3 (37:00):
Uh uh uh oh.

Speaker 1 (37:11):
I guess we're the first trailer for Avengers Endgame is
gonna be. I think it's a teaser trailer, you know,
like Marvel does. What's gonna be in theaters with the
new Avatar movie. Okay, fire and water, No fire and ice.
What's it called fire and ice?

Speaker 2 (37:30):
There's no way they called it fire and ice.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
I'm pretty sure they did.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
It's gotta be fire and water because the first one
was literally Game of Throne.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Yeah, well they don't give James cameron't give up.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
Well, yeah, he's James Cameron. Like I know, he don't care.
He probably doesn't even know. He probably does. What Game
of Thrones is.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
It's fire and ash, fire and ash.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
Yeah, I see.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
I told you it was a three letter word.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Though. I didn't doubt you there. I just didn't think
that they would go, mm hmmm, let's call it fire
and ice and there that there wouldn't be some dude
there going.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Don't worry, guys, there's no games or anything like that
for a throne. But we do have dragons.

Speaker 2 (38:12):
By the way, series called uh the Song of Ice
and Fire.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
See they but they mix it up. They call it
fire and ice, and no one gets that confused.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
You.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
I mean, yes, they call it music of Ice and.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
Fire, Melody of fire and ice, melody.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
Of flames and frozen water.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
So you get around it, so you not get sued.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
Yes, this is the land of easter Ros and the
eight and a half Kingdoms, half kingdoms. The Knife the
other half of the eighth one fell off into the ocean,
is now in Islands. We can't consider it. Ninth, It's true.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
It's true. Oh, let's see, what was I gonna say earlier?
So I managed to watch a bunch of stuff yesterday,
I know, right. I'm proud of myself too, which also
means I probably won't be watching any of the an
any of the rest of it anytime soon. What did
I watch yesterday? So? I watched two episodes of the

(39:25):
new splinter celling to me, not bad, you know, not
bad at all. It's only half hour episodes, so it
I'll be probably more inclined to watch something like this
because I do have that like, yeah, it's like twenty something.
I it's a problem. I know, I understand. Uh, I
don't really know what's what what's going on. It follows

(39:47):
the adventures of an old man fisher after he's like
retired to some almost looks like Polish or Eastern European
uh farm somewhere, which I thought was a little weird.
It's very actionate people, well you know, animated people die
a lot in the first two episodes, fairly viciously too,

(40:12):
of knife and stab wounds.

Speaker 1 (40:13):
And this and that mysteriously.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
Somewhat mysteriously guess not a lot, a whole lot more
to say that the animation is pretty cool looking, but
it's not too bad. Yeah, let's see what. Well, I
know I said I watched the Witchard yesterday. I was
trying to think of it that I watched anything else

(40:38):
because yesterday was one of those like I'll just I
have I keep forgetting I have Netflix.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
Oh yeah we have this still?

Speaker 2 (40:47):
Well yeah, because we didn't have it for a while,
we got rid of it because it's too expensive, and
then because you can get Netflix and something else on
for Verizon for ten bucks a month, we signed back
up for it. But it's a it's AD supported too.
That's weird. Every once a while it just is an
AD and it's like, oh, that's right, okay, ad supported, right,

(41:09):
that's right. Yeah. Uh. I threw Frankenstein on my watch list,
but I was like, I'm going to not watch this.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
Later, I'm gonna say I'm gonna watch this.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
Watch this. I really did want to watch it because
Gearmel Delatorro doing a like an actual old school horror
character seems really dope to me. I do like me
some gearbl Delatorro, And it's a hot minute since I've
watched any of his right. Well, I actually was watching, Oh,

(41:42):
I feel like I'm gonna say this wrong. I feel
like this is gonna be wrong. I'm gonna say it anyway. Whatever.

Speaker 1 (41:47):
Golden Army, Hellboy, hell Boy, Yeah, that was him, right, Yeah, Okay, yeah,
he did the he did the two Hellboy movies.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
I was confident. I was like so confidently. Yeah, So
I watched help Boy, Golden Army, and then it was like, wait,
was that you del Toro? Was that a different del Toro?

Speaker 1 (42:07):
No, that was him, and then the other two Hellboy
movies after that were done by two different.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
Yeah, we're done by two different well everything.

Speaker 1 (42:15):
Yeah, really literally, uh no, I just.

Speaker 2 (42:18):
Had that like instantaneous of like, wait, I feel like
this is gonna be a moment where I get this wrong.
Fuck it whatever, let's go with it.

Speaker 1 (42:25):
Send it, buddy.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
All I'm saying is like that I was going to
initially say it's been a long time since I've seen
a gear with Del Toro movie, because I actually don't
know what his last actual was it. Shape of Water
was his.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
No, No, last main movie.

Speaker 2 (42:40):
Yeah, what was the last movie he did?

Speaker 1 (42:42):
That's what I mean, Like, Oh, so I know he's.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
Been starring in a freaking death stranding.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
Uh so well, Pinocchio technically was the last one Shape
of Water. No, there's something else. What was it? Come on,
Germo del Toro? Mm hm hmmmm mmmm. Why am I

(43:23):
spacing on?

Speaker 2 (43:24):
What?

Speaker 1 (43:24):
The name of that movie is?

Speaker 2 (43:27):
Not?

Speaker 1 (43:27):
Memory? Ally? That was the one I was starting to
think of that doesn't even ring a bell as Bradley
Cooper in it has a bunch of people know.

Speaker 2 (43:35):
Oh wait, that was that weird one? Yeah, I mean
a lot of his movies are fairly weird. Twenty twenty one, Okay, Yeah,
I did want to see that, and I totally forgot
about it. God, that reminds me of something else. I
was watching something, and I know, I'll get back to
what I was watching and then talk about The Witcher.
But there was something I was watching and they're like,

(43:57):
oh yeah, and releasing blah blah blah movie, And I
was like, didn't that movie come out a year ago?
Another one of those Like it was like a movie
that they were hyping up and then dead silence on it.
I wish I could remember what it was. It would
be a whole lot, you know, a.

Speaker 1 (44:15):
Lot more interesting of a story. Yes, it's fun, Joe.
We don't need details, but we do. We do that.
We do definitely what.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
We still has a trailer site. That's right, so weird, right,
I totally forget about this anyway. So as I'm also
scrolling through this, maybe I can talk about the other
thing and I'll look for this at the same time.
Probably not, but we'll see what happens here. So, yeah,
I only watched the first episode of the new season

(44:53):
of The Witch Er. Did you have you watched it
in any event at all?

Speaker 1 (44:56):
I've seen clips online, but that's about it.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
I'm gonna say, at least from the first episode's point
of view, it's not bad. I know that at work,
somebody was talking to me, Like I said, the person
who was talking to me hadn't watched really any of
the Witcher stuff and the witcherd shows, but he had
talked to someone else who had like apparently binged the

(45:22):
first the season already, and he's like, damn man, Okay,
But they were complaining about how it's not the Witcher
and it completely changes the story, and they hate how
they make characters gay that shouldn't be gay and and everything.
And I'm watching the first episode and I'm like, this

(45:44):
is pretty much the fourth or fifth book, whichever one
I can't remember. That he that he travels with Yasquier
and the other Archer lady and then he meets up
with the Zorahan. Yeah, as they're traveling the road and
they're trying to get to milf Guard, Like this is
right out of the book pretty much, Like I don't
understand what you're telling me that this is not like

(46:08):
it's even told like the beginning of this of this
episode is takes place in the future and is told
like a story which is literally out of the books. Yes,
there is different there's different characters that are retelling the

(46:28):
story if I recall, right, but that's literally out of
the books. And I'm like, how can you say that
this isn't the Witcher so far at least when this
is literally out of the books, Like I don't understand it,
because it's like, did you not read the books? Do
not realize that the Wild Hunt is literally not in

(46:49):
the books either?

Speaker 1 (46:52):
It's not the point, Jill, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (46:55):
I just I just hate it. Like I can understand
that you are a fan of and and you know
call things out that are true that because I went
and looked it up later. I was like, you know,
you know, how close are the is the story to
the books? Because I remember being relatively close. Like, obviously
there are differences. There are things that they did change,

(47:18):
but there are a lot of story beats that are there.
And of course they didn't tell things in the order
that the books came out, because why would you do that.
The original books were just a collection of stories that
he had written four magazines, not knowing that that this
would be a big thing. So why would you just
do a collection of random episodes, you know, why not

(47:40):
you just take the first few things and then sprinkled
that out as you start literally the story the story
of destiny or whatever they would call the the actual
Witcher thing. Yeah, so yeah, they have changed things definitely,
but I still think that relatively they've stayed close to
the story read relatively like even where we're acted in

(48:04):
the beginning of season four is a series with the rats,
and it's like, yeah, that's where she was at the
beginning of one of the books. I just can't remember
which one. So like, and there were some like hinted
like romantic things there but not explored in the books,
so I don't get what people are saying where they're like,

(48:29):
I don't know. I will say this to be fair
to Liam Helmsworth not a bad girl, honestly, he tries
his best. He does fairly well. The action scenes are
pretty well choreographed and done, so he's not bad at it,

(48:54):
and he looks relatively the role. I love me some
Henry Calville, but the one thing that I did have
a problem with with Henry in the role said he
did look a little bit too big, because at least
in my mind, you look at how Geral looks and
feels is how he is from the games, and he's
much more nimble, He's not as like thick of a dude.

(49:19):
And Liam Helmsworth is actually carries that off break fairly well.
So he's and he's acting wise, he's pretty good actually.
So I'm more inclined to watch more of the season
and see where it goes because they are at the

(49:40):
point in the story because I really do want to
know if they Regis that's his name. I've been trying
to remember the name of the vampire that they encounter
in this storyline right now, so I would want to
see if they actually fall on to Regis and travel
with the vampire and whatnot and see where it goes.
I thought this was the last season too. No, I

(50:00):
was telling people. I was like, yeah, this is weird,
you know. I always thought it was weird that they
were that they were just switching Henry out for the
last season on just Grit, Grit Your teeth and Barrett.
And then it's like, no, there's one there's two seasons, Like,
oh shit, there are anyway I was wrong on that.

Speaker 1 (50:18):
Yeah, I think they want to do one more in
a movie, right.

Speaker 2 (50:21):
See, I don't know that you're that'd be news to me.
Like I've been so far out of the the news
realm within the Witcher stuff besides the you know, slow
slightly following the game details, you know that they're they're
slowly you know, working on the new game CD project Red.

(50:43):
So I haven't really heard too much about the actual
show and what they're they're hoping to do. But at
least from the first episode of season four, I'm not mad.
I want to see what's what's happening. I know another
complaint the guy had, which was, oh, the season is
two and two, Jennifer focused if this is called the
Witch or why don't I see Gerald? And it's like, well,

(51:05):
so far what I've seen this is literally they're that
story where you follow Siri for a fairly big bit
because she's not with everybody, and Jennifer is also not
with everybody. So yeah, of course they're going to be

(51:28):
more solo in this story. I don't know, maybe and
in the next few episodes they like completely change everything
and it turns into.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
A musical like I had a musical.

Speaker 2 (51:39):
It just turns into a musical. Everyone's dancing everywhere, and
it's just like they've changed everything.

Speaker 1 (51:45):
They've changed enough.

Speaker 2 (51:48):
Yeah, so we'll see. I probably won't watch anymore today,
probably watching more next week, but we'll see what happens.

Speaker 1 (51:58):
Yuh.

Speaker 2 (51:59):
Anyway, that's my review of the first episode. I actually
I finished it and was like, I actually enjoyed this.
It was actually pretty good and William Helmsworth does does
a pretty decent job at at playing Gerald.

Speaker 1 (52:16):
That's good to hear. I mean, he looks he looks
good from the trailers and stuff I watch. I mean
it's weird because, like you said earlier, like we're so
used to Henry you look at it like, well, he's
drastically smaller.

Speaker 2 (52:29):
He is drastically smaller. But again, I think it actually
works for Gerald. He's he isn't you know a dude
who has the ability to eat six thousand calories a
day and work out constantly in order to maintain that mass.
You know, he's living day to day on whatever he
can catch or pay for in a tavern. You know.

Speaker 1 (52:55):
Well, speaking of Witcher, that's funny.

Speaker 2 (52:59):
Oh now we're or what it was? I didn't even
actually see it here? Uh uh, Sea Su The Revenge
or whatever?

Speaker 1 (53:06):
Hell yeah, dude, the second one.

Speaker 2 (53:07):
You do come out like three years ago. I was like,
did I miss something? And then I realized, oh, this
is a sequel.

Speaker 1 (53:13):
Ye dude. Oh fuck, I'm so excited for that one.
I love that first movie.

Speaker 2 (53:18):
That's what it was like. I didn't even find it here.
It just suddenly.

Speaker 1 (53:21):
Dawned on the job, buddy, The Revenge or whatever it was?
Hell yeah, dude. Yeah, if john Wick was set in
World War No, yeah too, right, No, where was it?

Speaker 2 (53:32):
I actually never saw SISU one. It was another one
of those movies.

Speaker 1 (53:35):
I was like, yeah, it looks cast and it was
a while ago. Let's see is it one?

Speaker 2 (53:43):
It feels like it feels like it could be a one.

Speaker 1 (53:49):
It's Nazi Germany, right, I'm pretty sure it's Nazis in
that movie. Then it's too Yeah, pretty sure it's too
Yeah in late nineteen forty four, Yeah, there you go,
lampland war. Yeah, so it basically like spoil alert. It's
basically John Wick from World War Two, but his dog
doesn't die.

Speaker 2 (54:07):
Which is good.

Speaker 1 (54:08):
Yeah, so boom.

Speaker 2 (54:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (54:12):
I loved that first movie. I was so excited when
they made the second one. I was like, oh shit,
and it's like like I didn't even know they're making
a second one. All of a sudden, I saw a trailer.

Speaker 2 (54:18):
I was like, well, that's what I mean, like it
out of nowhere, just watching YouTube and it's just like
see Sue, See Sue Sea, Sue. You know. I'm like,
didn't the movie come out like three years ago? It
might missing something. And then it hits the end and
it's like see Sue the Revenge or something like that,
and I was like, oh shit, is this a sequel
that I'd never heard about?

Speaker 1 (54:35):
Hell yeah, dude. I was so excited, like you've found this.

Speaker 2 (54:39):
Coming soon dot net trailers like I haven't even hit
the trailer for it. Yet it's like, come on, guys.

Speaker 1 (54:46):
Get your shit together.

Speaker 2 (54:47):
Seriously. Unless I passed it just didn't realize it.

Speaker 1 (54:50):
Maybe it's a.

Speaker 2 (54:52):
Very possible thing here anyway. Yeah, that's what the movie was.

Speaker 1 (54:58):
Hell yeah, dude, well well worth the uh the weight?
You can actually ah Cseh's on one of the streaming services.
Now what is it?

Speaker 2 (55:15):
I have? I have no doubt?

Speaker 1 (55:17):
Is it paramount? Got to turn my volumes down just
in case the trailer ser is playing. Yikes, it's a
expensive one. H where's my list?

Speaker 2 (55:32):
My list?

Speaker 1 (55:37):
No, that means it's peacock, then weird the grabber my stuff? Nope,

(56:03):
swinging MESSI on that one too. What the heck? What's
it on?

Speaker 2 (56:08):
I have no idea.

Speaker 1 (56:11):
Too many places a check? Oh wait, I know I
can do her just a general search for it. Just
do Apple because I'm pretty sure it's on. It's not
on Netflix, so yeah, right, uh do ce Sue is on?

(56:36):
Oh shi? Is it Hulu? It is Hulu? Oh okay,
so you watch it Disney.

Speaker 2 (56:41):
I got that.

Speaker 1 (56:43):
Road yeah, road to events to the second one.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
Yeah, it's that a road road, roadhouse, roadhouse, road hog.

Speaker 1 (56:54):
Yep, there's this puppy right there. You can see him
roadhouse or her. I think it's a it's a her,
might be her, you remember. Yeah, it's super violent, super fun,
just a ridiculous good time. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (57:10):
Like I said, I need to watch it. It's in
the same vein of no Man whatever that one with
with the fucking breaking bad lawyer.

Speaker 1 (57:22):
Oh Nobody, Nobody.

Speaker 2 (57:24):
Yeah, I stud to watch that one and Nobody too.

Speaker 1 (57:26):
Yeah. So basically I don't won't spoil the story for you,
but basically he is an ex soldier who is living
his life out like trying to uh, and then the
war spills over onto his doorstep. Basically that's the most
briefest way of saying things, and.

Speaker 2 (57:44):
That's probably that's literally you know, Okay, you sent me
on the movie and then go, and it's just like
that's literally. Like earlier this week, I was talking to
somebody at work about movies that are just that just
go and you don't have to really think about the
stories that much. Because he was talking about Guns of
Chembo and I was like, yeah, movie with Harry Potter

(58:06):
with two guns strapped to I was like, uh, you
have you ever seen hardcore Henry? And he's like, no,
what's hardcore Henry. It's like, oh my god, oh my god,
let me see if I can play this trailer for
you on our Wi Fi and I could.

Speaker 1 (58:19):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (58:20):
I was like, it's just the type of movie where
you hit play and you're like, yeah, there's I mean,
there's a plot in there, but otherwise it's just first
action gun falls to the wall, just go, go, go,
go go.

Speaker 1 (58:30):
It's just pure madness. Dude.

Speaker 2 (58:32):
Yeah. I was like in that game. That movie came
out how many years ago? Seventeen? It was like eight years,
like seven or eight years.

Speaker 1 (58:39):
Yeah, damn.

Speaker 2 (58:42):
Oh yeah, that's shocked the cool believe. It's like, what
the hell is he up to lately?

Speaker 1 (58:45):
Everything is he? Yep?

Speaker 2 (58:49):
Good for him?

Speaker 1 (58:51):
Twifteen was ten years ago. Yeah, holy fucking shit.

Speaker 2 (58:56):
Right, that was literally my my thoughts too. I was like, oh, man,
so different back then the world was so different.

Speaker 1 (59:05):
Well, so it's funny that you say, uh, nobody, right,
so the guy who made, who wrote and directed Harkore
Henry made nobody? Oh yeah, I knew that. And then
his newest one is was Heads of State with John
Cena and uh edges Alba, and then he's doing the
second Roadhouse Movie for Amazon.

Speaker 2 (59:28):
I can understand the Roadhouse movie. The damn that's a
weird one in between there.

Speaker 1 (59:34):
Okay, well, it's an action movie. I mean, he's good
the action movie.

Speaker 2 (59:37):
But just I don't know. I guess it has ye
not to say anything of of John Cena.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
But why are you talking about John Cena? I don't know?

Speaker 2 (59:48):
You see, you know, was it dead shot, long shot?
Whatever the.

Speaker 1 (59:55):
It was?

Speaker 2 (59:55):
It was dead shot, dead shot versus peacemaker again anyway?
Is that all I watched yesterday? I'm pretty sure that
was a lot. I went shooting yesterday too.

Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
That was another thing fancy with trap shoot yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
I have a nice bruise on my.

Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
Shoulder now, oh yeah, I'm holding that gun tight enough, sir.

Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
I think it was. The gun wasn't a There's like
no pad his gun whatsoever. It's an over under that
my dad has and there's like no pad on it. Plus,
I think what was also happening is the shirt that
I was wearing was an under armor shirt, and as
I shot, it would just slide slide against the he.

Speaker 1 (01:00:40):
Played blood sport. It wasn't dead shot.

Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
I knew it wasn't.

Speaker 1 (01:00:44):
I was.

Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
I was almost positive that it wasn't dead shot or.

Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
I had to look it up because it was bothering me.
I was like, it's not dead shot.

Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
Whatever the other actor, you know, slate or whatever. I
don't know, death stroke, death stroke.

Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
Yeah, anyway, Yeah, you were shooting. Sorry, didn't interrupt you.

Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
No, that that was basically it. Yeah, I went shooting yesterday.
That was a lot of fun over at benevery nice
and relatively cool up until until started getting hot out.
But we just did the trap shoot. Okay, that was
actually pretty funny. So was it trap shooting? I tend
to get this this confused. It's the one where you

(01:01:26):
basically yell pole, Like that's trap anyway. So we're out
there and everything is voice controlled out there, and you're
literally yelling pole. But you don't necessarily have to yell pole.
You just have to be loud enough to to do it.
But the the microphone speaker things that they have set

(01:01:48):
up to be able to capture your voice because they
look like they look like loud speakers at the point
like pointing at you. Of course, my dad, you know,
generally were X. My brother generally works me. It doesn't
seem to be working at all. And one of the
guys comes over, the range Masters comes over, and my

(01:02:08):
dad's just like, yeah, it's not really working. The dude
goes over and he tests them. It's just fire, fire, fire,
it's working fine, and he's like, you really have to
be up against these in order for them to really work.

Speaker 1 (01:02:18):
And so it's like my six foot five ass like.

Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
Like being on top of this thing and sometimes having
to look down at it and go pull and.

Speaker 1 (01:02:29):
Then it would pull and then you're like, oh ship.

Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
Yeah exactly. Then I'm just literally oh boom, because there
were literally times where I was like pole nothing, Poll, nothing, Pole, nothing,
and then look down and just be like poll and
then it would fire one off and then you're just
like a bang bang bang. Yeah. So fun and funny

(01:02:55):
at the same time. It was also fun with the
over under. I was miss seem like almost every shot
on it. But so the game became less of hitting
the birds and more of if I eject these shells,
can I get them to stand up on end? Because
I was doing that more regular than than actually hitting
any of the birds. But bam, haha, I got one

(01:03:17):
to stand. You see that five of them are now
standing right there on end. And I miss that. Just
don't don't worry about that.

Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
That's not the game I'm playing.

Speaker 2 (01:03:25):
That's not the game I'm playing.

Speaker 1 (01:03:27):
That's for losers exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:03:30):
I'm playing the how how many shells I can get
to stand up on end over here, even that I
end up losing on the first five I got. Then
I never got a single.

Speaker 1 (01:03:41):
One after that, but whatever, Wow, Joe.

Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
Well anyway, that was That was the week in my
weekend review.

Speaker 1 (01:03:52):
I guess that's it for this week's episode. Comes naturally.
We have been Joe, I've been Cody, and as usual,

Speaker 2 (01:04:01):
