Autora de livros como quando vieres ver um banzo cor de fogo, sereia no copo d’água, caderno-goiabada e os infantis A melhor mãe do mundo e Elza: a voz do milênio. Traduziu, entre outras obras, livros de Alejandra Pizarnik, Alice Walker, bell hooks, Gayl Jones, Ijeoma Oluo, Nikki Giovanni, Toni Cade Bambara e Abi Daré (finalista do Prêmio Jabuti em 2022 na categoria tradução). Em 2022 participou do júri inicial e intermediário do Prêmio Oceanos de Literatura.
