Listen. It is control Chaos case e a A ten
fifty AM one six point five f M in the
Inland Empire. Getting closer to the weekend, thank god, closer
to football starting double a radio dot com because you
know this radio station is the bomb. We have the
preseason games, the NFL preseason games, and then a week
(01:12):
from Saturday, college football kicks off. Yeah, telling you Jones
and Jones in for some football, and I have season
tickets to the Chargers games, right, thank god, I guess
(01:36):
they Thank god they don't have any male cheerleaders. This
is the new fat, the new normal, man, Oh god, almighty,
I'm telling you. I mean they have them in college, right.
You see the cheerleaders with the in college and they
have guys who yell and scream and flip the girls
and this and that. So I mean, does that doesn't
(01:57):
bother me? You know, it's more gymnastic type thing. But
male cheerleaders with these hot chicks. Thank god, my teams,
the Raiders and the Chargers do not have any male cheerleaders.
Who wants to see that? Serious? Well, I know a
(02:18):
lot of cats out here would like to see that.
Oh isn't he sweed? Look at him? Jump jump jump
and pound those pomp poms. I like the pound on myself,
so kind of an upward some of these teams are
(02:38):
getting from some blowback they're getting from their season ticket holders.
The Minnesota Vikings, for one, are having two male cheerleaders,
and the season ticket holders are not too happy about it.
Some of them are actually canceling their season tickets because
of it. By the way, the Dallas Cowboys, they are
(03:00):
having no male cheerleaders. Okay, along with the Raiders and
the Chargers. I can't see. I mean, those chicks were
so hot when I was going to the Raider games.
Oh my god, the raiderrets and the Chargers got some
nice looking cheerleaders too. I mean, come on, man, can
we just stop with this woke crapola and all this
(03:24):
and this transgender crap bola for just a minute. Serious?
So let me give you the twelve teams that will
have male cheerleaders. This year, the Minnesota Vikings, I just
mentioned them. The Baltimore Ravens, the New Orleans Saints. These
(03:44):
are all teams that are gonna have male cheerleaders this year.
The Philadelphia Eagles, the San Francisco forty nine Ers, the
New England Patriots, the Tennessee Titans, the Indianapolis, the Kansas
City Chiefs, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, and your
(04:08):
Los Angeles Rams. See. I knew there was a reason
I'm not a ram fan anymore. I don't get it, man,
I mean, can't we just leave some stuff alone, just
have like the NFL cheerleaders be female. Why do we
have to get into that whole male cheerleader thing. Man,
It's disturbing to some people. I mean, honestly, I just
(04:32):
watched the games and gamble and drink. I mean, it's
not like I'm looking for the cheerleaders.
Speaker 6 (04:36):
Though.
Speaker 5 (04:36):
When they cut to the raiderrets or the cowboy cheerleaders,
you know, my ears do perk up or my eyes
do perk up. But I mean, why do we have
to be so like politically correct?
Speaker 7 (04:50):
Why?
Speaker 5 (04:52):
Why?
Speaker 8 (04:53):
So?
Speaker 5 (04:54):
Anyways, I just want to give your heads up, because
the football season's around the corner. And if your team,
you know, you see some eyes jumping up and down
in a cheerleader outfit, You're like, what the hell's that?
That's what's going on. There's like a dozen teams that
have male cheerleaders. I don't know. I'm just so tired
(05:14):
of this politically correct crapola. I'm not for that. Okay,
I'm not for it. I'm sorry, And I do care
if my team has that. If the Raiders had that,
I'd be very upset. And if the Chargers did it,
I wouldn't care. But the Raiders are my team. So
thank god, no Raider at male cheerleaders. Thank you so much.
(05:36):
Thank you, Mark Davis, he did something right. You and
Tom Brady, well you did hire Pete Carroll too, so
that was a good move as the head coach of
the the Raid. So anyways, speaking of sports, the Dodgers,
I told you I've been talking about the Dodgers a
couple of weeks. For the couple last couple of weeks,
last month, actually the last month, the Dodgers have looked
(05:58):
like s and they had an eight and a half
game lead on the Padres July second, July second, now
they're even steven now, I mean, what the hell's going on?
Something's going off with the Dodgers, man, I don't know
what's happening. They trade away Dustin May, who could have
been a relief pitcher for the Dodgers. They could have
moved him to the bullpen. The Dodgers' offense is terrible.
(06:22):
They keep on playing this guy, Michael Conforto. He's god
affing awful. He's god awful. He's batting like one eighty man,
and they keep playing them. They have no I mean,
they have a great first five guys in the lineup
from you know, show Hey to Mookie Betts, Freeman, Hernandez,
(06:44):
will Smith, Max Muncy. But then the drop off is dramatic.
And this guy, Michael Conforto, he sucks. He's terrible, he's
got awful, he's got awful, and they keep on playing them.
There's something going on with the Dodgers, man, I don't know. Inside.
I think there's something going on with Dave Roberts the team.
(07:05):
Do you hear about Sho Hey o Twani being sued
because he bought some land in Hawaii and then renegged
on it and backed out of it and now they're suing
him for like a couple hundred million. What's helped with
shoe Hey o Tani and his finances? First, as it
was an interpreter that stole like what five to fifteen
million dollars for him, I think it was like five
million from him to bet to gamble with. And now
(07:27):
it's this other transaction that he was doing in Hawaii
buying some land and now he pulled out and now
they're suing him for that. What is I mean, seriously,
show Hey get some good management, dude, please. So something's
going on with the Dodgers.
Speaker 9 (07:43):
Man.
Speaker 5 (07:44):
I don't know what it is, but I believe that
if Dave Roberts gets bounced out of the playoffs by
the Padres or before they get to the World Series,
he's going to be gone. I think Dave Roberts Scarver
Donalds predicts if he doesn't win the World Series again
or even get to it, that he's going to be fired.
He might even get to the World Series and lose
(08:04):
it and get fired. He's got to win the World Series.
And I think the maybe, you know, after a while,
the players get tired of their managers or their coaches
or things like that. That's why, you know, the Pat
Roleys of the world, you know, go from the Lakers
to the Knicks, and then the Knicks to the Miami
Heat because you know, after a while, the message gets
gets old and boring. It's it's great when it first happens,
(08:26):
like this guy's a winner, just like Bill Belichick. He
wore as welcome in New England. Now he's coaching North
Carolina football the tar Heels. So eventually all coaches, their
messages sort of get, you know, worn out, and the
players sort of turn on them. I think that's what's
happened with Dave Roberts. He's had a great run with
the Dodgers. He's won a couple World Series. The Dodgers
(08:48):
are always in the playoffs. Something's going on this year.
They're making boneheaded plays or striking out with men on base.
Their pitchings got awful, the relief pitchings got awful. The
Angels have been knocking them off. I mean, the Angels
are kicking their ass left and right all season long.
The Angels are going to be a good team next year. Man,
they got a lot of good young talent. They have
(09:10):
a lot of good young talent. I like the Angels
next year big time. They keep Mike Trout and then
get a couple other veteran players, a couple of power
hitters or something like that, a little bit more pitching,
and I think the angel are going to be there.
They got a great young nucleus. So the Angels are
on the up and coming. And the Dodgers, I don't know, man,
they're spiraling down. They have a big series with the
(09:32):
Padres Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Padres are coming into
a Dodger Stadium, So that's must see TV this weekend
for sure. So at least we have a good baseball
series this weekend between the Dodgers and the Padres. And
I cannot stand. The Padres are arrogant, egotistical, and they
haven't won anything. They've never won a World Series. They've
been in a couple, I think, never won it. So
(09:55):
few Padre fans. Until you knock off and not well
you knock us off once, I think, until you win
the World Series. Kiss my ass as a guy that
bleeds Dodger blue, kiss thigh ass. All right, coming up next,
I got a call. Yes, I'm going to talk about
Veggie Stays with PETA. After this, Gary Garver.

Speaker 14 (14:31):
Right, it's a job hazard.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
Sharon, are you concerned about global warming? You know, of
course you described yourself in three words.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
Dead, you're retarded.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
Described cane. Describe how in the nineteen words or wise daren.
Speaker 10 (15:04):
Wow, and she just shared that share one more labar last,

Chaos, Case AA ten fifty AM one O six point
five FM in the in and Empire. Also, iHeart Amazon, Apple,
all the different social media platforms. Gary Garver here right now.
I have a very special guest. She helps out PETA.
She is the vegan campaign project manager for PETA, and
(16:26):
I love PETA. I think what they're doing is great
work for the animals, because the animals have no voice,
only the humans do, and we're doing a great job
of destroying our planet. They have a very very disturbing
trailer that's being played in movie theaters, I believe throughout
the nation. I watched it this morning and I was
(16:49):
just like, okay, forget the forget the bacon and eggs, okay,
just give me the eggs if that, If that's okay
to eat, I don't know. I'm gonna ask Amber right now,
Amber Canevan Amber good morning?
Speaker 16 (16:59):
Now?
Speaker 9 (16:59):
Are you good morning? So?
Speaker 5 (17:03):
Can I still eat eggs?
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Or no?
Speaker 5 (17:04):
I can't have my eggs, but I know the bacons out,
But how about eggs? Is eggs okay? Or do they
have to be cage free? I always get cage free eggs.
Is that alright with you guys?
Speaker 15 (17:12):
Or no?
Speaker 9 (17:15):
There are a bunch of problems with Cage Free. But
you know, I love how you called it a trailer.
We've been calling it a horror short, and we have
been airing it, you know, ahead of some movies and
theaters in California and other states. And I mean, you know,
(17:35):
I think you have to some degree, no that animal
agriculture is a bit of a horror show, right, So
we have animals who are kept in factory farms, and
as our horror short shows, you know, it's fueling climate
catastrophe and that is literally bringing flames in some cases
(17:57):
straight to our doors.
Speaker 5 (17:58):
Yeah, it was. It was kind of It was very disturbed,
to say the least. Yes, And I've talked about, you know,
how animal cruelty is relevant and prevalent throughout our nation.
I mean, I used to date this girl up in
Fresno and I lived in Los Angeles and i'd go
up this I think it was called Highway forty nine
and there was a bunch of slaughterhouses, like right along
(18:20):
the highway and you could smell, you know, the slaughterhouses,
and it was so disturbing to me because that was
really the first time I ever smelled a slaughterhouse. And
I'm like, oh my god, that's where our meat's coming from.
But I gotta be honest. I'm not you know, I'm
very honest person. I still eat you know, meat every
now and then. I don't need it every day, but
you know, maybe once a week I'll have a steak
(18:40):
and blah blah blah. But it is disturbing, to say
the least. It really is. It's really sad how we
treat our animals and slaughter them the way they do.
It's just it's it's disturbing. And this this this well
I call it a trailer because it's it's being played
in movie theaters in Los Angeles and throughout some other states.
It's really wild, man. I mean it's a minute long
(19:03):
and I'm like, holyes, so tell us about tell us
about the horror short.
Speaker 9 (19:09):
It's you can explain it, yeah, I mean, you can
find it on at pita dot org if you want
to watch it. It's on YouTube as well. We call
it the Room on Fires. So it's a bunch of
definitely dressed people who are just chowing down on all
sorts of meat and cheese and eggs, and meanwhile, this
(19:33):
flame that starts out in the distance in the hills
slowly creeps closer and closer to the house and straight
into that dining room with them. And we were inspired
partly because of the horror of wildfires that are just
coming more frequently, burning hotter, coming more into where people
(19:56):
humans are actually you know, living. We have all these fires.
I mean, this stuff is at our doorsteps. And like
you said, usually the factory farms and slaughterhouses, they're out
there in the countryside and you might only see them
on a trip up to see your girlfriend, right, But
this stuff is having impacts on our lives because animal agriculture,
(20:20):
raising and killing tens of billions of animals for food
every year. These slaughterhouses, as you can imagine, there are
these windowless, large buildings that you can't see what's going
on inside. PETA has sent investigators into factory farms and slaughterhouses,
and we know what's going on inside. Nothing human never
(20:42):
happened in a slaughterhouse, and these animals are just behind
closed doors, packed shoulder to shoulder, wing to wing. These
factory farms, even the cage free ones, they just kept
the same factory farm shed, took out the cages and
lift all the animals in there cram together and say
(21:03):
cage free.
Speaker 5 (21:04):
So that's so that whole cage three things just a
bunch of bunch of bs. Is that what you're trying
to tell us. It's a job. It's all jo okay.
Speaker 9 (21:13):
At PA dot org you can see our investigation of
Hillicker cage free. This is one of those Prop twelve compliant,
you know farms in California that went cage free.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (21:25):
The owner was calling it chicken Disneyland. Peta has footage
from inside and it's a chicken prison. There's no other
way around it.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
Well, let me ask you, you know, let me ask
you a question, Okay, because like I said, this, this
you gots listen. I don't care if you're you know,
you're not for Pete or whatever. You gotta see this.
This uh, this this short horror video. It's it's it's it.
I'll shake you up a little bit. Especially the pig
in the middle of the table. That was the first
thing I saw, was a big pig in the middle
(21:56):
of the town. I'm like, oh my god, this is
this is really disturbing. And then you see the wildfires.
How does that correlate? How do the wildfires correlate with
what's going on with the treatment of animals and the
slaughter of animals. How does that all correlate right?
Speaker 9 (22:13):
Well, So, you know sauntry farming, raising and killing tens
of billions of animals for food. Those animals require a
lot of water, so factory farms and flaughterhouses stuck up,
you know, tens of millions of gallons of water, you know,
creating drought, which leads to wildfires. Also, the methane emissions,
(22:38):
the climate warming gases are very strongly associated with animal
agriculture in particular. So you can actually reduce your food
related carbon footprint by about three to seventy five percent
by eating a vegan diet. So you can just imagine
(22:58):
how much is coming from when you're uh, when people
are eating meat, dairy, and eggs. All of these things
are kind of coal, you know, coming together and feeling
the climate catastrophe, feeling drought, feeling wildfires, and all three
of these things are just kind of feeding off of
(23:18):
each other.
Speaker 5 (23:18):
Literally, it's like a perfect stormy. Yeah, Like it's like
the perfect storm like you know, because I mean, you know,
with all these carbon emissions, uh, you know, there are
gases that come out of these slaughterhouses and these other
slaughterhouses for pigs and things like that. It's just, uh,
it is weird. It's it's a strange environment, strange vibe
(23:40):
we're going through right now in our in our country
and entire planet. So what do you suggest that we do?
We just stop eating meat or I mean, listen, Amber,
I love animals. I've got two cats. I love my
cast to death. I always water the plants, I feed birds,
I do anything I can. I love. I stop when
I see rabbit running across the street. I mean, I
(24:03):
love animals, you know. I mean, it's it's so sad
what the humanity does to to animals and the cruelty
because they really don't have a say in it. So
what do you I mean, what do you say we
all do just become vegan? Or how about people that
really you know, how about let me play Devil's advocate.
How about the cats that have to that do you know,
run the slaughterhouses and all that, They're going to be
(24:25):
out of work, people will be out of jobs stuff
like that. I guess, I guess they could go to
different things. But what do you want? What do you
want humanity to do just go vegan? Is that your answer?
Or is there something some sort of like compromise, Can
we compromise here or something like that or no, no compromise.
Speaker 9 (24:43):
Well, I mean the vegan food economy, you know, has
been been booming, so we you know people, there's companies
that have been switching, like Elmhurst Dairy with a dairy
company for one hundred years, they switched over. They make
nut based milk now and they've been surviving. And you know,
(25:04):
the slaughterhouses need to shut down and can be changed
into you know, me and meat production facilities that are
much more water much less water intensive. And also don't
you know require somebody fit somebody's job literally sitting all
day stabbing animals in the throat. Nobody wants that. Nobody
(25:26):
wants that job or it has to, you know, go
through that mental turmoil. Farmers who you know end up
raising these animals and having to send them on these
horrible slaughterhouse trucks you've probably seen down the highways. These
animals are crammed shoulders to shoulder and these transport trucks
on one hundreds and seven degree days without any water.
(25:47):
I mean, no one wants that, but they they want
they you know, they keep eating this stuff. The thing is,
there's such delicious vegan foods out there. If you've tried
vegan bacon, there's the in steaks. You know, there's pretty
much everything you can imagine vegan these days, and it
has a much lower water footprint, carbon footprint, better for
(26:08):
your health, better for the environment. Obviously.
Speaker 5 (26:10):
Well, I wish they do it in the supermarkets, you know,
I mean they should have like a you know, I
know they have organic sections, but they really don't have
any vegan sections. Because if I saw a vegan steak
or a vegan chicken or something like that, i'd I'd like,
I'd try it, I'd see what it tastes like, and
if I liked it, i'd probably you know, switch off.
I mean, you know, they just don't. They really just don't.
(26:30):
I just don't think there's as much profit. You know,
it's all about big business and profit. Let's just call
it what it is, Okay. When you you know, when
you're running a you know, meat producing plant stuff like
that as opposed to a vegan plant, you're gonna make
more money with the meat plant as opposed to the
vegan plant. Maybe it will change as time goes on.
But why don't they have any like vegan sections in
(26:52):
the supermarkets? However, you guys ever pushed for that, you know,
with these big conglomerates, you know, these market conglomerates.
Speaker 9 (27:01):
I mean, I'm hard pressed even when I'm in small
towns to you know, not find something in the grocery store.
And you know there's to food, there's beyond.
Speaker 5 (27:11):
Yeah, but I mean i'm talking about talking about Listen,
you know, I'm what I'm talking about is you know,
like a vegan section, like you said, they have vegan steaks,
they have vegan this vegan that it'd be cool they
had a vegan section. That is what I'm probably say
because the normal person like me, like when I go shopping,
I don't I don't see that. I see organic, there's
organic everything, but there's no like vegan. Like I'd like
(27:34):
to try a vegan steak. Why not, you know, let
me see what it tastes like. I mean, I'm open
to it. I just wish the big business of America,
in the in the market chains would maybe put together.
You know, I'm sure some like Sprouts or somebody does it,
but you know, I don't see it where I shop.
That's all I'm saying. I just wish there was more
of that so we could so it could be we
(27:54):
could be more aware of it as as as a society.
That's what. That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 9 (28:00):
Right, all right, Well we'll have to team up and
work on your grocery stores. They're feeling.
Speaker 5 (28:09):
All I buy is corona and tequila there. Anyways, don't
worry about it.
Speaker 9 (28:14):
Maybe that's why their shelves are just full of that.
Speaker 5 (28:16):
Yeah, exactly, that's why they know. Well, I want to
I appreciate you calling in its Amber uh Canavan. She
is the vegan campaign project manager for Peter.
Speaker 6 (28:26):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
You want to tell the public anything else, you have
a public message, public service announcement for America and the
world over.
Speaker 9 (28:36):
Well, you know again like that our horror, our horror
shore is like you said, it's just so good, so
well produced it is. You really do think you're watching
a movie trailer. Visit Peter dot org and you can
catch that trailer if you're not going to catch it
in one of the theaters running it in. And I
also just love reminding people that we will send anyone
(28:58):
who orders one on our website dot org a free

That's okay, that's all right, no bigge.
Speaker 7 (35:49):
Let's that's my wife, So excuser. The toughest fight Tom
Herons nineteen eighty one. But then again, Robert de Ryan
nineteen eighty was an extremely tough fight. Seventy nine was
amazing and very physical fight.
Speaker 3 (36:05):
You know.
Speaker 5 (36:06):
How about Marvin Hagler, based.
Speaker 7 (36:09):
On the circumstances of the fact that it was some

he was thirty two, thirty three, whatever.
Speaker 9 (36:17):

It was tough, but hearns with our question. Hernson dram

had next to sugar Aie Leonard and said he was
just really cool.
Speaker 10 (37:01):
So he is.
Speaker 5 (37:02):
He's a nice guy. He's a nice person. This Scott.
He would say, God, bless you, Scotty him thinking about
you all the time. It is controlled CHAOSKSEAA radio dot com. Also,
iHeart Amazon, Apple, all the different social media platforms. Gary
Garver here it is a Thursday, and you know I
discussed the other day where Brad Pitt is really pissed
(37:24):
off at Angelina jo Lee because his mom just passed away.
Brad Pitt's mom passed away last week at the age
of eighty four. But in the last nine years, Jolie
would not let Brad Pitt's mom see the kids until
they actually they're old. Now now they're like adults. Most
(37:46):
of them are adults. They have six children together. Maddox
twenty four, Packs twenty one, Sahara twenty, Shiloh nineteen and
twins Knox and Vivian seventeen. So for nine years, Jolie
would not allow Brad Pitt's mom to see the kids
(38:07):
and upset them. And I don't blame them, that's ridiculous.
But now she's planning after I guess the twins turn eighteen,
she's planning to leave Hollywood and move Overseas. She just
wants to get the hell out of Hollywood. Doesn't everybody
want to get the hell out of somewhere. I want
to get out of the desert. I actually talked to
my real estate agent yesterday. We're going to put the
(38:29):
place on the market in about three weeks. I think
after Labor Day we're gonna put the place back on
the market and I am going to sell it and
I am getting the hell out of here. I'm tired
of this desert.
Speaker 10 (38:39):
Man.
Speaker 5 (38:39):
This is great. I mean, they've been filling in this
effing hole for the past four days, like waking me, well,
not waking me up, but you know, annoying me. You know,
right when I do the show at eight o'clock in
the morning, they're out there starting to haul dirt. And
it's just going to get worse and worse. But anyways, yeah,
she wants she wants to split Hollywood. Jolie never wanted
(39:02):
to live in la full time. She didn't have a
choice because of the custody arrangement with Brad Pitt. The
insider says this insider who knows Joe Lee the actress
is preparing to put the house up for sale as
she plans to move overseas. Yes, as soon as the
twins turn eighteen, she's booking. I don't think Brad Pitt
(39:26):
cares anymore. I mean, the kids can go live wherever
they want. But it's just so screwy that, you know,
there's such hatred between those two and between families in general.
I mean there's a lot of that going on. I
remember Carrie Caseum and her stepmother were fighting because Carrie
Caseum could not see Casey Caseum, and you know they
(39:47):
got into a big to do. It happens all the time. Man,
You hear about this crap all the time. It's crazy.
So listen, life is so short. Just you know, if
you're going through a divorce, you have a custody battle
going on between, you know, with your kids in the
middle of it, stop because all it does is hurt
the kids. You just screw with the kids. Just never
(40:07):
got it, just never got that. It's it's ridiculous. So anyways,
want I just do a follow up on it. Yeah,
it looks like Angelina Jolie wants to leave the United States.
I mean, we already got rid of Rosie O'Donnell and
Ellen DeGeneres now and the next one is Angelina Jolie.
Audios amigo. I don't think Brad Pick gives an ass either,
(40:30):
for sure. All right, hey, listen, I went to go
see the Dead Sea Scrolls with my mom last Friday
at the Reagan Library. If you have never seen the
Dead Sea Scrolls, you got about a week and a half,
two weeks to go down to the Reagan Library. It's
well worth it. The tickets are like twenty five bucks.
And I mean there's pottery, there's all sorts of ancient ruins.
(40:53):
They had a big cinder block of the Jerusalem Wall
where room tore down the wall, the Jerusalem Wall back
in the day to overtake Jerusalem. Then you have the
Dead Sea Scrolls and it says so many things about
the Bible. I mean, the Ten Commandments are there. They
mentioned the squirrels, mentioned Psalms, they mentioned Son of God,
(41:15):
they mentioned Moses breaking a rock for water. And then
there's these gospels. There's four of them in the Bible.
And there was a lot more gospels, the Gospels of Mary,
gospels of a lot of different cats. And then there's
the Gospel of Thomas. And the reason I'm getting into
this is that the Gospel of Thomas was not included
(41:38):
in the Bible, but it reveals a lot of stuff
about Jesus that maybe people should sort of take a
second look at. The Gospel of Thomas came under scrutiny
from scholars and citizens when they claimed it was banned
from the Bible. Well, this is not true. It wasn't
banned from the Bible. It wasn't included in the Bible either.
(41:59):
This is because some of the teachings are different to
what is found in the Bible as being attributed to Jesus.
According to Cross Examined, the Gospel of Thomas doesn't follow
a narrative structure and doesn't report on major parts of
Jesus's life. Instead, it talks about one hundred and fourteen
esoteric sayings, which are apparently secrets Jesus told his disciples
(42:23):
during his life, wouldn't you like to know this stuff?
I mean, I'm down with this. I like to know
about the Gospel of Thomas and Jesus' esoteric sayings. One
text begins with these are the secret sayings which the
living Jesus spoke, in which Thomas wrote down and after
(42:43):
the New Testament. A reader in early Christianity, bart Ehman,
says the document had probably been written early in the
second century, despite some of these sayings potentially being older
and going back to Jesus himself. Many scholar questioned the
legitimacy of the gospel given the timeframe for it. It
would have had to been written after the apostles died,
(43:06):
and so Apostle Thomas could not have authored it. That's
what they're saying. Then there's this. It was also not
included because the Church usually looks for three different attributes
when assessing texts. First, the Gospel should be traced to
apostolic eyewitness testimony. The Gospel of Thomas did not fulfill
(43:26):
this requirement. Apostolic eyewitness refers to the first hand accounts
and teachings of the apostles. These were people Jesus chose
himself to witness his life, teachings, death and resurrection. One
of the apostles was indeed named Thomas. However, the book
was ascertained to be from the middle of the second century,
(43:48):
long after the apostle died. The second reason is that
the gospel did not align with any other biblical texts
and is more gnostic. This means that it focuses more
on personal spiritual knowledge as the key to salvation, which
the Church did not think aligned with the bible other teachings.
And third, the church did not want to listen to
(44:09):
other gospel as it had only listed four of them anyways,
So what was so different about the Gospel of Thomas,
you ask. It did not focus on Jesus' life and death,
but more of Jesus's voice and how he imparted salvation
through his teachings rather than death and resurrection. In other
(44:31):
Biblical texts, sin is identified as the main issue people
have in this world, but in the Gospel of Thomas,
the main issue is identified as ignorance and not confronting
the truth. Wow, that's going on a lot nowadays, right,
I'm telling you fake news? All this crazy going on
all this gas lighting and all this nonsense councel culture.
(44:57):
It quotes Jesus as saying, recognize what is in your sight,
and that which is hidden from you will come plain
to you. For there is nothing hidden which will not
become manifest. Another quote from the gospel, this is the
Gospel of Thomas, reads and he said, the man is
like a wise fisherman, who cast his net into the
(45:19):
sea and drew it up from the sea full of
small fish. Among them the wise fishermen found a fine
large fish. He threw all the small fish back into
the sea and chose the large fish without difficulty. Whoever
has ears to hear, let him hear that Jesus written
about in the Gospel of Thomas also has different ideas
(45:41):
onto where the Kingdom is in it. He has attributed
to saying, if those who lead you say to you
see the Kingdom in the sky, then the birds of
the sky will precede you. If they say to you
it's in the sea, then the fish will precede you.
The Kingdom is inside of you, and it's outside of you.
(46:04):
While some believe that the Gospel of Thomas serves as
a mockery to Christianity, others are more accepting of its existence.
I like it. I mean, I like the whole spiritual
energy of it. I mean, any of these quotes are good.
It's positive. We need more positive energy in this world. Man,
it's just crazy. So the Gospel of Thomas, I don't
(46:26):
know if you ever checked it out, but I want
to check it out. I want to. I want to.
I want to read it and see what it's all about,
because I mean, I'm down. I mean, anybody doesn't believe,
you know, the tech Commandments existed, or the Bible is
real and Jesus is not real and all this. You
don't believe any of this, that Jesus is real and
all this stuff in the Bible is real, then you're
(46:48):
you're mistaken. I'm sorry. There is a heaven, there is
a hell, there is spiritualness, there is religion. I'm a
very spiritual person. I'm not really religious, though I do practice.
You know, when you know, when Christmas time comes or
Hanuka comes, I do usually get a tree. I used
to until Scottie passed. I haven't got a tree in
the last two years. I don't think I'm gonna get
(47:11):
one this year, though I planted a living pine tree
out in front of the patio, out in front of
my place in Scotty's honor last year on on Christmas Eve.
But I'll light the candles, you know, I'll observe that
type of thing.
Speaker 6 (47:26):
You know.
Speaker 5 (47:26):
Yeah, I'm kipper comes around it. I think it's coming
in about a month. I'll fast. I'll fast. I might
have a beer or two, but I won't eat roastu
Shanas around the corner of the Jewish New Year. So
I mean, I'll honor those those holidays and things because
you know, that's my origin. It's not my religion. There's
a big difference with being, you know, born a Jew
(47:47):
and believing in it. I don't believe that in the
Jewish religion, you know. I mean, I think Jesus is
the son of God, and you know, he is a
God's son along with all of us. We're all Gods,
sons and fathers and mothers and sisters and all that.
I mean, I believe that. That's the bottom line. That's
how I feel. But anyways, believe me, there is a heaven,
(48:09):
there is a hell, And I mean I saw the
Dead Sea scrolls and man that was really far out.
So if you're having any doubts about your faith or
if you're doubting God or whatever, you're a doubting Thomas.
That's the big thing. Doubting Thomas. Remember, you're a doubting Thomas.
That's the slate, the slogan, or the slang they ever using. Well,
I'd like to see what Thomas has to say. I'm
(48:30):
gonna have to look it up. I'm at to google it. Hey, ay,
I hey, Gemini, look good Thomas's gospel for me? Okay,
would you like a massage? No, that's okay, all right, listen,
I'm out of here. I thought i'd just like to
get to kick out of that because I'm telling you, man,
in this day and age, you have to believe. You
(48:52):
have to believe that there's a better energy and a higher,
higher realm, and a better realm than this, because this
realm is just whoa, I don't know. It's crazy, crazy,
crazy crazy. It's chaos. It's total chaos. By the way,
God willing, I'll be back Manyana with some more chaos
for you. And I'm hoping they finally they're supposed to
(49:14):
Today is supposed to be the last due that they're
filling in this effie hole. So let's hope I have
some peace, Maniana, Please Lord give me some peace.
Speaker 8 (49:23):
Take care, sell me on.
