A Câmara dos Deputados aprovou o texto do projeto de lei que prevê alteração na forma de cobrança do Imposto sobre Circulação de Mercadorias e Serviços (ICMS) sobre os combustíveis. A proposta segue para apreciação do Senado Federal. De acordo com a proposta, o ICMS relativo ao óleo diesel, ao etanol hidratado e à gasolina terá a um valor fixo, “que não esteja sujeito a flutuações constantes, como ocorre atualmente”.
Para o coordenador de programas de MBA nas áreas Tributária, Contábil e de Controladoria da Universidade Positivo, Marco Aurélio Pitta, um dos produtos mais consumidos pelos brasileiros, direta ou indiretamente, é o combustível. “Seja no próprio deslocamento de pessoas no dia a dia, seja na cadeia de transporte de mercadorias. E por conta das sucessivas altas, principalmente por conta do aumento do barril de petróleo, uma iniciativa do Poder Legislativo federal trouxe uma grande polêmica: mudar a forma de cálculo do ICMS sobre o combustível”, afirma.
