(00:00):
This week when Cosmic Cantina. Afterone of our beloved listeners asked to know
a little bit more about us andhow we got to where we are in
this crazy paranormal field, we decidedwhy not tell our origin stories. We
start off by ranting about some ofthe latest UAP news, which has been
a lot, honestly. Then wedive into each of our backgrounds to discover
(00:21):
how we each developed an obsession withthis strange reality. So put yourself a
glass of something classy and join usfor an all new Cosmic Cantina. I'm
your host, Melissa Tittle, andevery week I go to my favorite bar,
Cosmic Cantina, and kick back withmy co host Josh Golambuski and Matt
O'Connor. We talk about aliens, bigfoot, ghosts, ancient cultures, and
(00:46):
anything from the unseen world that needsa little illumination. Welcome to Cosmic Cantina.
I'm your host, Milisa Tittle, and tonight I'm drinking a detox tea
because, uh, you know, maybe I know I just need to detox
(01:10):
for a little bit. That's whatI'm saying. The summer's not over yet
for me. I'm keeping it down. I'm keeping the party alive tonight.
I'm drinking red wine and I thinkit's like two different bottles mixed together.
Like I ran out of one.Instead of just finishing it, I just
selled it up to the top ofthe other one. And my wife called
me classy. I think she wasbeing sarcastic. No, no, I
(01:30):
think she was. I think shewas legit. Yeah, I think she
was definitely being sarcass Yep. Igot some red going on here too.
It's called the Cults Fitting. Ilike the name of it. And it's
a little kept set from the NapaValley, and uh, it's pretty pretty
great. I'm feelings I'm filling allkinds of warm on the inside light of
(01:53):
guys. Yea from the not infront of the audience. I know you're
all fired up with your new electricMustang two at present. Somebody's having a
midlife crisis. Something's got to keepme going. I might get one too,
(02:15):
man. I think it was awesome. Uh oh yeah, all right,
Well, okay, guys, thereis so much going on in the
world right now. There is somuch so we are going to do on
this podcast. We were going todo something we've never done before. First
of all, we're going to breakdown some of the greatest hits that been
happening on the world of weird, because there's just too much and we need
(02:37):
to address it all a little bit. And then we will be talking about
something that you've probably never heard aboutany of us talk about, and that
is why we are even doing whatwe're doing and who we are because we
have a Patreon or Ryan zero zeroseven who brought up to me that he's
like, I don't even know whoyou guys are, and it's true,
(03:00):
are we and I think what makesup who we are are some really crazy
stories that got us to the pointthat we started making Cosmic Cantina. So
we're going to break all that downfor you so that you really know who
we are and all are deep down, dirty, dirty secrets. But first,
oh, I didn't know we're goingthere, but okay, let's do
it. Oh yeah, it's cosmicCantina. People, you better hold on
(03:21):
pants or seven inches pretty girthy. Not oh, sorry, we're talking about
something else. No, No,alright, I think we're going to personal.
Okay, yeah, keep going tothe people, mat Okay, Patreons,
we have a new Patreon. Right, yes, let's bring this up.
Thank you for everyone who's participated helpingus out in the editing of the
(03:47):
our shows every week. Super appreciated. Our latest one is my mite from
Australia. Actually his name is BradBrad and he's got himself a consensual probe.
I went to say his last name, but I'm gonna screw it up
for sure, but Deic Bradburd youknow what it is. You know a
guy, you know fella anyway,we've chatted before and he's a good bloke.
(04:12):
And thanks for the the consensual probe. Bend over and take that one,
all right, Okay cool? Thankyou to everybody, And if you
if you want to get probed,Matt will tell you where to go.
We have a Patreon. It's uhpatreon slash. I will tell you any
(04:34):
second now. The Cosmic Cantina tareonslash the Cosmic Cantina, and we much
much appreciate your help in that sweetamazing Okay, okay, guys, what
is going on in the world. We've got face peelers, We've got the
woman on the plane who somehow gothotter like shorted to Kim Kardashian overnight,
(04:59):
like why happen? It was?She was just scared. And then we
have Gersh who just had who isPTSD? And that's just a big deal
for some reason. Uh, We'vegot Josh has some some new Vegas updates?
What am I missing? There's justso much crap going on. It's
insane. They call him face peelers. That's I just I couldn't get that
(05:24):
out of my head. So wheredo we start. Let's start with Gersh.
Let's start with Gersh. All right, everybody, so Brush sorry Brush,
uh grush. Uh. You knowhe's come out he's got PTSD,
you know, kind of claiming hemight be crazy and he's making up all
the stories. You know, that'skind of how the articles were going.
(05:45):
What do you guys feel about that? I mean, I don't know.
I'm just kind of like, thisis just a drama. This just keeps
playing out like you just got tohold it down, gotta stay neutral,
you have where's the actual facts? But but okay, guys, go I
know, I know Josh is gonnalaunch into a rant here and I'm all
for it, but I just wantto say beforehand that, yeah, this
(06:06):
was bound to happen at some point, and I don't. It doesn't seem
like a big deal, Like itseems like actually a lot of people are
pushing back against old clippers Kenny Clippenstein, and he's a article. It seems
like most people are like, dude, what the fuck. But at the
same time, I'm like, it'snot like Grush was hiding it. I
(06:26):
think it was part of the originalRuss Coultart interview from what I saw,
but they cut that out because it'snot relevant. It didn't seem like a
huge deal, like he still hashis clearance and all that sort of stuff.
He got the help that he needed. Uh you know, you know
there was some alcoholism, I guess, trying to get over PTSD. We
(06:48):
really can't talk about that. Yeah, okay, but here's the thing,
like, as as a producer,if you're coming out with a very sensational
story, you don't want to giveanybody any reason to doubt what this story
is. And that would mean notputting the tangent about the PTSD. However,
(07:14):
I would disagree with that because themore transparent you can be and say,
hey, you know, I knowthis story has momentum, but but
to ask all the questions might andto show that evidence might be a good
idea to nip it in the butt. So I mean, look, it
was their decision to make, andnow you know it's coming out later.
(07:36):
I can say that the one thingthem holding that back did was they allowed
him to speak in front of Congress, Because if if the story had come
out and then they attack the PTSDbefore he actually had the hearing, I'm
not sure if all those people wouldhave shown up to be as professional as
they could have been. So,I mean there's two sides to look at
(07:59):
that from like TV shows, Iguess, yeah, sure, I get
what you're saying. I don't disagreeor agree. I would say this,
this guy, Ken Klipperstein, hehas like the most like sailing and Kenny
Bunkport name I've ever heard of mylife. And he has like the most
punchable face I've ever seen. AndI don't mean that like like you want
to punch. I mean he actuallyhas a really good jaw, and he's
(08:20):
a really big, good good bonestructure, and he probably can take a
punch actually, so good old Ken. This guy's a total penis. Like
this article if you I read itfrom start to beginning. And it's not
just it's not just a takedown ofGrush and randomly bringing up his PTSD,
which does not matter at all. It's not related to anything he's saying.
It's like it's like saying, likeanyone with a mental illness at all,
(08:41):
had depression or anything in their lifecan't be trusted or something that means like
there's like seven Americans that we cantrusts like twenty eight people on the whole
planet we can trust. This wholething is outrageous. It also takes down
Roswell. He dismisses Roswell. Hehas like quotes from skeptics calling the Uaper
hearing the most disingenuous and embarrassment forthe Congress. This whole thing is just
(09:03):
slop. It's like tabloid journalism justto take down UFOs. But it's not
what you think. So there wasa bit of a rumor in a moment
there where basically everyone thought that Kenwas tipped off by the intelligence community or
got illegal information, and that's notentirely the truth. What actually happened was
he did a foyer request in thestate where the police the police for some
(09:26):
reason, the police had these recordsand he was able to obtain him.
He did, however, say thathe got tipped off by the intelligence community.
He said up publicly on the newsand in a Twitter space that he
talked to people in the intelligence community. So everyone was an uproar that like
this came from the intelligence community. But it's actually worse it didn't, because
it's spectacularly backfired. There's more compassionfor David Grush and more people behind him
(09:46):
than ever. Everyone's standing behind him. It's the most beautiful thing in the
world. So I don't think it'scoming from the intelligence community because there are
a lot smarter than that. Thisisn't enough in today's day and age that
takes someone down. Maybe thirty yearsago, you could throw some shit out
like that and people would say itmaybe throwing He smoked marijuana once too,
and then we really wouldn't trust him. But today, Michael right, and
(10:07):
isn't hilarious. It's like people arelike dropping acid at work, like hello,
Like right, I think, sogo on. I think just to
address I think the only reason thepolice had a record of it is I
think his wife was super wired abouthim because he was in a really dark
place and by the way, thiswas all off to his like you know,
(10:28):
his deployment in Iraq and all thatsort of stuff. Yeah, he
and then his friend killed himself. His friend killed himself like right after he
talked to him. That's what senthim over the edge. And then his
wife was worried he had guns inthe house and she called the police and
he said, why don't you justkill me? He was just in a
dark place and it wasn't good. But like it's none of our business,
(10:48):
and it's just outrageous. In thiswhole article is just a lazy it's worse.
I just want to finish off bysaying it's just if it was actually
a leak, at least it's something. But this is just literally tabloid.
I don't like UFOs. I'm justgonna shit on it. And the whole
article just has that like potentious likeI'm sailing in Kenny Bunkport and I have
a punchable face, like layer ofthe cheese on it. It's just just
(11:09):
any military. Yeah, we've hadmelts illness at all. I just yeah,
I just something to say about that. Apparently I didn't realize I wasn't
get that passionate. Sorry about that. Yeah, I mean, like the
PTS, the PTSD thing. Uh, you know, here's the thing.
He must have known that was goingto come out. You know, it
didn't come out obviously in the inthe news nation. Thing eventually was going
(11:30):
to come out, So he wasprepared. He was prepared. He was
prepared for that to eventually surface becausesomeone's going to use it against him.
But the thing is, who doesn'thave PTSD? I mean, I mean,
the cops aren't calling any of myfriends because or or my friends aren't
calling the cops because I'm you know, two on the edge. But I
mean, who doesn't have PTSD fromany portion of their life or anything that
(11:52):
they've done, you know, Idon't know, especially if you went to
war, you've been in the middlein the police, or anything with any
type of action. I mean, come on, And it's not like,
you know, PTSD made him hallucinate, fucking the interviews that he got from
people, all the files that hehas or exactly like, it doesn't address
any of that stuff, any ofthe like evidence that he's bringing to the
table that obviously we haven't seen asthe public. But he's brought to the
(12:16):
table for Congress, and and youknow there's all that stuff that we're just
kind of like dismissing uh in thisarticle, like just because he had some
about of PTSD PTSD issues. Butstill, yes, exactly, I thought,
thank you for never fucking to cutyou off. I wanted to get
(12:37):
that out so bad. I waslike, he didn't lose his security clearance
people like if he was that onthe edge, he wouldn't be able to
keep it exactly exactly. So Iyou know, I agree with you guys,
and Josh, I know you wenton a round about this, but
I love that the community is behindhim and say, look, you're not
going to tear him down, likeand that is what wins. I mean,
I can't say that more see anybodyabout disclosure or anything. It's like,
(13:00):
it's not what you're waiting for peopleto tell you, it's what you
believe. And so he's not goingaway. People are putting him in that
position, and he's not going awaybecause people are believing him. And so
I don't know, we'll see howthis unravels, all right, We got
a lot to get through tonight.Faith killers Peru aliens dropping down, torturing
(13:20):
a tribe, they're begging for help, and what do they have to say
about it? Oh, just illegalminers and jet packs flying around like what
God? Okay, hold on asecond, Hold on a second. All
right, If anybody, if you'venever heard of what's happening in Peru.
There is a tribe off completely offthe grid, correct, guys like completely
(13:41):
like deep deep remote, don't havecell phones, right, we're talking like,
yeah, yeah, they they came. They came basically to the nearest
town and said, we need help. This is what's happening to our village.
And aliens apparently coming down seven foottall apparently feed on the faces of
(14:07):
humans and fat and organs or something. Is that? Yeah, that was
part of the tabloid thing. Idon't like. Okay, they showed this
video. I don't know if Isent it to you. It was pretty
gross. You did, But Josh, we were talking about that and it
was actually from a completely different incident. But the video was of a guy
(14:28):
a body that were picking out fromthe river and it literally was just his
face was missing all the way downto the bone, like it was just
a skull and his eyes were gone, and they just like dragged this body
out of the water. It was. It was really very upsetting to watch,
but it had nothing to do withthis thing. It was some sort
(14:48):
of what was what was it,Josh like a holding someone's face, So
yeah, cartel holding their face inthe water until the pros off. It
sounds like something you do a badguy does in a movie. Yeah,
I mean that's real life. It'spretty pretty amazing stuff. Any Anyway,
the authorities investigated it and concluded thatit was illegal miners coming into this village
(15:11):
on jet packs. And can Iask anybody a question? I mean,
I know I can't hear all ofyou listening to this, but do you
know anybody that owns a jet pack? Do you know anybody who owns a
jet pack? I mean, likeanybody, do you have any military friends
who talk about trying out their jetpacks when they are doesn't make any noise
apparently, or like it doesn't fitwith any of the stuff the interviews with
(15:33):
the actual people who were in thevillage we're talking about, like they're talking
about like shooting these guys and knockingthem to the ground and them getting back
up again and then floating like ameter rough the ground, and with these
red lights that were coming out ofthe bottom of their feet or something.
It wasn't like a jet pack.It was like coming from their feet.
(15:56):
As far as I could tell fromsome of the translated interviews from these people,
what they got like those slippers withwings on it, like Nymar from
the Black Panther two movie. Yeah, it's just wapping around with like fancy
shoes. Yeah, this is reallyinteresting. Guys. I give more credence
than this, and I probably shouldbecause I want to believe so bad.
But a couple of things. One, I just believe Indigenous people more than
(16:18):
the average person. I feel likeif they say something, we should take
it for granted, we should lookinto it. This whole area of South
America is interesting for a couple ofreasons. Before I go there, this
footage looks really familiar and similar tothe Vegas footage. It also looks like
the same beings from the Turkey Comeof the Turkey, the famous Turkey video
over the Sea that the Kumberger's videothat's like probably the best UFO video of
(16:42):
all time. The same thing hasbeen described in at least the United States
mouf On database sixty six times, though or sixty six times with the word
insect twenty eight times with the wordmantis. Also, there seems to be
a pattern here the Vegas and theproof thing happening. It seems very like
psyopy, Like it's because just thinkabout it, like they're landing in weird
(17:03):
places, kind of scaring you fora second, maybe touching you and like
dragging you for a second, butnot really doing anything. So what is
that about. It just reeks oflike trying to scare you. It's like
the beginning of the movie signs,Oh no, they're walking around the planet.
Now they're going to come in soon. It just has a weird smell
to it. And we know Iremember from the book Forbidden Science for that,
(17:23):
Jacques Vallet wrote, he hasn't Hehas just a quote in it that
he I just want to read quickthat just leads to kind of me to
believe that, you know, thiscould be something, but not what we
think. I'm not saying it's notreal. I'm not saying it's jet packs.
Just to be clear, I'm justsaying. In March nineteen ninety two,
this is what he wrote. Ihave Jack Valet wrote in his book,
I have secured a document confirming theCIA simulated UFO abductions in Latin America,
(17:48):
Brazil, and Argentina as psychological warfareexperiments. We also know I know
this is Peru, but we alsoknow of the Mage incident in Brazil.
We also have several other weird aliensattacking people scenarios in South America. Just
the whole thing just reeks of asie up. But I don't know.
Do I want to believe there's tenfoot aliens running around like gently finger banging
people in the jungles of crew Hell, yeah, I do. Something's going
(18:11):
on, but I don't know ifit's that. But it's definitely not dude,
it's in jet packs. Yeah,I mean I agree with you.
I mean, especially it's so ironicthat it's happening right now, when when
the narrative needs to turn to ouraliens helping us or is it war?
Right? So I mean great time, I mean exactly yeah. Yeah.
(18:33):
And and what you said just justa few minutes ago, which I totally
do agree with you from a standpointof journalists. Journalism is that if an
indigenous tribe that doesn't have any connectionwith mainstream comes out and says this is
happening, then it feels more believable, and then if you were running a
SIA up that would make more sense. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, totallyI follow that. Yeah, but
(18:56):
we're gonna do a bigger We're gonnado a bigger deep dive on that a
different episode where we're going to dedicateto bringing up some more evidence of that.
But we'll see, we'll see whereit goes. I just wanted to
read some of the reporting that cameout of it. This was from a
what is this the Daily Mail,so you know this is super legit,
(19:18):
but this is some of the stuffwhere they were explaining someone in the town.
This guy was named Davila. Hesaid he came face to face with
one of these so called aliens. He said, we have met almost face
to face. His face is hardlyvisible. I have seen his whole body
floating at the height of one meter, and he suggested the being was hovering.
(19:41):
They requested military presence from the authorities, so it's obviously like legit,
like they're trying to like get help. It's apparently a ten hour river trip
to which to reach this community, which is called Equitos City, aquitous Equitos,
something like that we need to putour community. The children do not
(20:03):
sleep and their mothers stay up allnight. They appear to be armored these
things. I shot one of themtwice and he wasn't injured. He rose
and disappeared. We're very frightened aboutwhat's happening in community. He added.
Their shoes are round shaped, whichthey used to float, so not on
their back. It doesn't seem likejet packs their heads along. They wear
a mask with their eyes, andtheir eyes are yellowish. They are experts
(20:27):
at escaping apparently, is what hesaid. So this, like what the
people are seeing is very different fromlike jet packed fucking illegal miners zooming around
on you know. It's just therewas another where there was saying, okay,
so this was they were saying. This was another article from Vanguard dot
(20:51):
com and I just found it.So I don't know the legitimacy of this,
but this was one of the thingsthat they were pointing at. The
illegal gold and in crime syndicates aresaid to be the blame according to this
article, where they they're flying aroundand jet pack jet packs through the forest
(21:12):
looking for gold deposits or something throughthe river through the Peru's Nan Nana River,
which is where this apparently this littlevillage is located. But those two
things don't really match up to mefrom what these seven foot tall beings with.
(21:33):
One of the guys interviewed in theoriginal interview was saying that he looked
like the green Goblin from the SpiderMan movie. So they must have some
sort of Western influence of some kindif he knows the movie, but he
can kind of picture like the elongatedhead and the yellow eyes and stuff.
I guess, yeah, what theywere describing. But anyway, cool,
(21:56):
Well, we'll keep up with it, see what happens. Yeah, we're
gonna go dive deep in to thatin another episode. But all right,
before we move on, so,like why and how we even showed up
on this podcast? Uh? So, did you guys see the video of
the woman that was on the planesaying that you know, there's an MPC,
she's an next an MPC, Andthen all of a sudden, she
like got super fucking hot and waslike, I'm sorry, I just freaked
(22:19):
out and it doesn't matters. Yeah, the glamb squad from Kardashians came in
and like redid her face, likelike and you gotta if you're going on
the talk, you gotta dulled upa little bit. It's so weird.
(22:41):
She's great, it's funny, keepgoing. Sorry. So it was like,
you know, here's the thing.I guess, if I don't want
people to recognize me, you know, maybe I would have changed up,
got some hair extensions, you knowthat kind of thing. I would have
like, you know, redid somethings. But but if you don't want
anybody to know who you were becauseyou're sick of being harassed, then why
would you come out on the videowith your new Kardashian face and do and
(23:04):
then say, hey, I'm okay, you know whatever. I just it
just was so weird. It wasyeah, and she didn't really address at
all what she was, what shesaw. Her name is Tiffany Gomas if
you want to look it up,g O m as. She just she
was just apologizing for her blow up, basically her meltdown and her language.
(23:32):
Apparently she said she was super sorryfor swearing so much, but she didn't
really address anything like what she sawor like basically any info anyone was wanting
to know about this whole fucking case. She didn't address any of that I'm
just really sorry. I freaked out, and but I just wanted to know
(23:52):
that I'm hotter now and I reallydon't want to talk to any of you,
but okay, bye. Right,So we said no one knows anyone
else's story and no one should judge, no one knows what it's like.
It sounds like she's referring to maybesome sort of mental issues. I don't
know, but she's she's just, like she said, like there's tabloid magazines,
(24:18):
press, everyone is staking at herhouse, and she just fucking wants
it, wants wants it to stop, basically, so she I guess she's
just trying to shut it down.Yeah, and she says so much of
what out there is inaccurate, really, and and she went asked for specific
she declined to comment further. Okay, so she just wants it to end,
(24:42):
apparently, so well, either shereally saw some shit and she's been
she's being shut down, or youknow, she's just been a little crazy.
You know, Yeah, we've we'veall been there. Happens to the
best of us, you know,MPC or no, MPC, it happens,
right, No, did you beenhere judgment here? Okay? Did
I did I cover all the crazinessand I'm missing a crazy Oh oh,
(25:06):
I just somebody just sent me avideo that, uh, this segues into
our connection with everybody, the possibleenergy weapons that have caused all the fires
in Hawaii. This this woman hasposted a video on Twitter who states that
Guya told her to go to Hawaiiand that they blew up uh Hawaii,
(25:33):
basically set it on fire, andbecause the ancestors lived there, so we'll
come back to that one. Soundsincredible. She's oh yeah, I just
I'm looking at it right now.She says, I know now why Gaya
set me, and I'm going touse this platform. I think. I
don't know if she's talking about Gaya, the spirit of Earth or the actual
(25:57):
company that we've have some connection withthe three of us, but that segs
me to my next story, whichis all of us. Nice. Sounds
a good segue. Yeah, yeah, all right. So I loved Orion
zero zero seven. It's kind oflike, hey, where'd you guys come
(26:17):
from? We'd love to know alittle bit more about all of you guys.
So I thought this this would bea great idea. I mean,
it'll be fun get to know getto know us a little bit more.
Besides all the dick jokes that thatthe guys tell and I try to tell
them and no one laughs at mydick jokes. Anyway, you get a
better I've heard that before. Anyway, She's all right, she's black.
(26:47):
So I wanted to start of how, first of all, how we met,
Like how how this gang got together. And then I want to segue
and use my journalistic skills and kindof like robe probe Josh and Matt on
their personal experiences and what even gotthem to the death Star Guya where we
(27:08):
met. So when I remember beinghired to be the director of content at
Guya, this several years ago,a long time ago, and I came
from la to Colorado. I hadat the time, I was producing TV
shows, so I was doing networkshows, and I had at that point,
(27:32):
you know, several years ago,I had done the first five seasons
of Ancient Aliens, and so theywere like, this is great because Guya
is a it was it was abrand new platform network that was kind of
doing everything weird, so Aliens, meditation, all sorts of alternative theories,
that kind of thing, and sothey kind of recruited me from La I
(27:53):
moved out to Colorado. It wasreally weird. My transition was not smooth,
I can say that. And andI found everybody quite jarring considering we
were running a network and we wereacting like we were making widgets or something.
So I had our time transitioning. And uh, across from my office
(28:19):
was this guy named Matt, youknow, and he super cool guy.
Yeah, yeah, you know,he seemed pretty laid back. He seemed
to think that we were also makingwidgets, and you know, uh so
it was a good conversation and westarted to bond over it, and and
you know, we were kind of, you know, b asking about some
(28:41):
stuff. And do you remember that, Matt, I do I remember?
We bonded specifically over a comic bookthat you had written and got published.
Man, what was that thing called? It was The Ladies in sky Pilot.
Sky Pilot, that's right, Wedid a pilot for it. Actually
it was a whole super fun story. But anyway, I was like super
nerdy about it. It was like, yeah, yeah, comics, and
(29:04):
yeah that's what I started off asan editor an animator for the company,
and uh we uh it quickly becameclear. Yeah, it was just fun
to have someone who was on thesame level, and we talked about like
crazy conspiracy, aliens, paranormal shitand what was super fun actually, I
(29:32):
think was I loved hearing Melissa allyour crazy stories of like not not even
just the paranormal stuff, but likethe stuff where you were like working on
a show where you were not exhumingbodies. What were you doing like autopsis
and stuff. Yeah, we weredoing autopsies. Yeah, yeah, and
just like talking about like being inan autopsy room with all the cameraman like
(29:55):
throwing up in the corner as someone'slike carving into a body and stuff.
Really cool. I didn't know whyanybody thought this was going to be it
was like Faces of Death, butit was like faces of Bodies, and
it was like it was just likeI don't know how anybody thought they were
gonna get It didn't air on aany but anyway, Yeah, so we
talked about a lot of stuff wehad, and you know, a guy,
(30:15):
it was just kind of starting togross. They were hiring more people
and more people were coming and youknow a lot of us kind of thought
that we were it was like theTV show Loss, like like there was
this island and a plane crash andwe all somehow were on the same plane
and we're there and no one knowswhy we're there, but we're there,
you know, and like like noone knows what's happening. There's like a
(30:40):
creature in the woods. There's awhole bunch of weird stuff happening, you
know, and we're just stuck there. And and then one day Josh shows
up, you know, also inthe plane crash and this guy. Uh,
this was like, I think Joshcame. You came two years after,
two years after I was there.Yeah, you were a vet by
time I got there. Your legendhad already grown. I knew about you
(31:03):
day one before I met you. There's this character named Melissa. She likes
to write in all caplocks good luckwith her. I was like, cool,
cool, cool, I'm aggressive.Yeah, no, not at all.
Uh, it's that's so funny aboutthe all caps. So when I
when I first started out in theindustry, when I was in my twenties,
(31:25):
you know, you get out ofcollege and you write these emails and
you're like, dear, blah blahblah, I would like to know if
you would like to look at myresume. Right, Well, people on
TV don't have time. People inTV and field don't have time. People
in LA they don't. They don'tlike, they don't even capitalize things or
put periods. They don't do anyof that. They don't have any fucking
time. So the bigger you are, the less punctuation you're using. Yes,
(31:47):
that's true. It's totally true.And I thought, oh, I
gotta adjust it, you know, maybe less periods, you know what I
mean, like less punctuation. Soit looks like I'm really busy and I'm
doing things, but they might havecut to gaya. Like I just felt
like no one was hearing me.So I would write these emails in all
caps of like, hey, itwasn't personal. I mean it that way.
(32:09):
I just really want cap blocks. That's a great study this and I
need it fucking now. There's enoughpeople relax now, we kid you know,
I did that a few times forokay, So we in our guy
(32:36):
at tenure, if you will,we would go. We would we would
kind of escape like on I can'tremember if it was like a Thursday,
Friday or something, but we wouldgo and have a boozy lunch and we
would just We would literally sit rememberat that Mexican place down by the tracks.
We would sit down there and wewould look at coronas. Those margaritas
(32:57):
were so stiff. There's barely anybodyin there for lunch. And I think
it just dumped old the tequila andthose margaritas because I just one of those
and I was like done for youknow, and I can drink a lot
of Whoa And we would talk aboutthe craziest stuff, and we're like,
this should be a podcast. Youknow, we're all drunk. People would
love to listen to me talk. And at one time we had a fourth
(33:22):
person involved, but that that justgot too much and he likes to talk
for everybody and he really didn't haveanything interesting to say, so we got
rid of him. So it's justus. I mean, there's a few
people I know they could probably fitthat description. Yeah, we found we
(33:43):
found the right recipe with the tripodhere. Yeah. I came in,
And when I came in, listen, you were in the front end production
as producer. Matt was editing andanimating. I came in as a post
producer at the time, so Iworked in the back with Matt a little
more and then lest it would alwayscome back because front end it for people
that don't know, like post productionand front end production are two different divisions
of the same thing. Production andpost is definitely a chiller environment and front
(34:07):
end so most of it would comefrom the front end and tell us all
the crazy stuff going down, andwe all became friends and we would just
talk, not just at the restaurant, but in different bays there are different
edit bays, and just talk aboutall the good things. It was like
a core crew. We had someother good ones there too, back in
the day. Yeah, there stillis too, you know, I'm still
there, just to be clear,I'm still a guya and Matt and Melissa
(34:29):
have moved on and then, uh, but we'd love to talk about it
more. But it's just a littleweird since I worked there. But not
that I have anything bad to say. I'm just saying, you know,
I have to be careful what Isay. Yeah, yeah, for sure.
There was just so many like charactersat this place, like it just
I feel like it was like mosteisly the Canteen a bat from which is
(34:49):
kind of where we get the ideafor the name of the show actually,
but the canteen about from Star Warsand most Oisley was just like an amalgamation
of like all these crazy care there'sall sitting in the in the one room
or kind of like looking for theone thing, which was to get drunk
in that place. But guy,it was all kind of everyone was looking
for alien something similar but a littledifferent as well, like we all had
(35:14):
different hot types of what was happening, and uh yeah, yeah, yeah
it was interesting. It was definitelyinteresting. But you know what, you
know, the thing is is thatnone of us would have gotten on that
crazy plane and the TV show Lostand gotten you know, picked then crash
into the island if we hadn't beenon the journey ourselves. That we hadn't
(35:37):
been we hadn't been doing our ownresearch, and we hadn't been looking into
some of this stuff. Because again, how we all ended up there is
the oddest thing, and I don'tthink anybody can figure it out, just
like nobody really figures out what thething is in the woods in the TV
show Lost. Nobody knows how theyall ended up there. But but but
I mean I can start with myself. I had I had definitely been looking
(36:00):
into this stuff way before even workingon Ancient Aliens the first first five seasons
of Ancient Aliens, and I rememberlike working at Paramount Studios and we were
working on Star Trek. It wasJ. J. Abrams was directing,
and I was just such a nerd. I was just such a nerd for
(36:22):
this stuff, like I just Ijust loved it. And after Mission Impossible
came out and some of the othermovies, I was like, I'm gonna
go into TV because I got ajob for the show called The Universe,
which is on the History Channel, which was History Channel's first attempt on talking
about quantum physics. Physicis quantum physicsto mainstream people. I can't even say
(36:43):
the word detox help. And Ijust remember and people thinking I was crazy,
like I ken't believe You're leaving ParamountStudios and Films to like work on
this stupid Universe show. And Ithought, no, no, I'm like
totally a nerd for this stuff. And I know the Universe show was about
Aliens, but but I had Ijust always felt that like the more we
(37:04):
could understand what was happening in theuniverse, the more some of these answers
of the unknown would be able tocome to the surface that we'd be able
to understand them. And you know, as a kid, I always had
super weird experiences that I felt like, whether it was like a house or
a situation or like really crazy dreamsor like, I always felt that like
(37:28):
what the world was presented to me, the adults around me and the school,
the things you were supposed to doas a human didn't make any sense
to me. That it just didn't, like from a young age going forward,
I'm like, something's not right,Like there's just I don't know what
it is, but there's got tobe more to this existence. And of
course there wasn't any word like thematrix of the simulation when I was like
(37:51):
ten years old, and not eventil I was in my you know,
late twenties, but or early twenties. Am I dating myself? But like,
but that drove my curiosity that Ilike, I just didn't want to
to keep talking about the same thingsthat like it felt like adults were talking
(38:12):
about for ages for thousands of years. I wanted to talk like, there's
got to be something else besides allthe you know, just besides weird unknown
stuff. And my dad was inthe Air Force, and you know,
we we would talk about aliens andlike life and like you know what,
you know, different ideas of things, Like it was no big deal in
(38:36):
my family. There was no likegood or bad or it was odd.
I mean, I knew that outsidethe house, maybe it probably wasn't a
good conversation because nobody could have itwith me. But but I you know,
I never got from my dad thathe had an experience, but it
definitely was something that he was usedto talking about, and so the concept
of life outside of humanity seemed likea probability for me. I just never
(38:59):
like thought it wasn't. I justspent most of my career trying to be
neutral and in the journalistic standpoint,So it wasn't about believing. It was
about you know, being part ofsomething bigger. So anyway, that's I
feel like that's how I ended upa guy. I just didn't want to
do the LA thing anymore. I'mlike, I don't want to tell stories
about dumb people doing dumb shit.I mean, like again, I'm back
to like when I was like eightor ten years old, being like,
(39:21):
there's gotta be something more. Howthink, why do these people keep talking
about the same crap, Like thissounds so uninteresting totally, I could relate
so hard. I feel the sameway. What about what about you,
Josh? Like what I feel likeyou all of us have probably had a
moment when we were kids where somethinghappened and then from there, like I
just cascaded into like a plutthora ofother things. Yes, I think that's
(39:44):
exactly what happened. A couple ofthings I'd like to just bring up.
I may have spoken briefly about thisin years past, but when I was
younger, there was one incident thatreally defined the beginning of my obsession with
UFOs. There was on the piggybackor something else when we start with the
then the incident was I was justin my backyard and I had this and
I live look little Compton, RhodeIsland, which is a rural town,
(40:06):
beach town in Rhode Island, andI was had this guinea pig that we
called guinea Guy, and I usedto scratch its butt because when you scratched
its butt in the grass, itwould eat like really fast, so like
you scratched its button would be andit would like you start mowing down the
grass. It was really weird.I don't know if it liked it or
I was torturing it, but eitherway, it happened anyway. So I
love I love your story, justin it there, and that's what cut
(40:28):
me into the paranol scratch scratch. But I just remember that detail. I
don't know, it was just likeit's a weird detail. Remember I say
it because it's silly, but alsobecause that's what I was doing. And
this guy lived next door in myneighbor's garage, and he he just listened
to like the he was down onhis down on his luck type of dude,
(40:50):
and he just listened to the policescanners all day and he was good,
all excited, and he ran overand he was like the police next
door or asking permission to jump comeover to our town. There's some new
foes flying around Newport. They're allover the place. And we would and
then we listened to the scanner andwe heard the police like ripping near my
neighborhood because like I'm on the borderof a town and we just heard the
police like clearly chasing something and itwas all over the receivers. They were
(41:14):
using the word UFO and it wasall in the I think it was in
the paper, as though I didtry to go back and find it,
like I'm one of those old timeylibrary newspaper searcher things, and could not
find it. I would do anothersearch, but it was a thing like
everyone in town talked about it.Now, that was kind of the origin
of me being obsessed with stuff it. As a kid, I used to
go to we have all these graveyards. I used to a lot of paranormal
hunting all over the places, allthese haunted properties in my old town.
(41:35):
It's so old. My mom grewup in the house I call home now
is more this farmhouse, the familyfarmhouse that is definitely was definitely haunted.
I have several aunts who won't gothere. They won't sleep there ever again,
and they live in town. Theywon't sleep there. My mom lives
there now. They witnessed like ghostsand shadow people for sure when they were
younger, though today my mom hasn'tseen much though from that house. Myself
(41:59):
and I was in adult with mywife. I saw UFO in the distance
and my wife and my aunt whoand my aunt also is someone who's like
Harry Joe Olsman from that movie withBruce Bruce the sixth sense. She has
that ability to her. Her andmy wife saw a saw a shadow person
in that house. And you whenI keep hearing and I heard it.
I was just home a couple ofweeks ago. The one thing that's cool
about the paranormal is it always getsportrayed as freaky. But I'd always hear
(42:22):
My wife started hearing it too. You'd hear light music, people laughing and
like playing cards and having a goodtime from one corner of the farm house
all the time. Like I've noticedit so many times. It gives you
the chills. When we finally hearwhat, you realize what you're hearing.
You're like, like at first,I was like, is it a car
driving buys the neighbors? Like whatis it? It's really weird anyways,
So that house was haunted. Mymom definitely saw some gray aliens that had
(42:44):
some gray alien dreams, three headslooking at her paralyzed. We've had some
peculiar incident, but that that reallythat The UFO incident when I was a
kid, in conjunction with the paranormalactivity in my generational farmhouse, kind of
drove me towards this. I wentout to LA, and just like you,
Melissa, I grew disillusioned. Iworked on like everything from The Kardashians
to the Real World, a lotof reality TV. Some of it was
(43:06):
cool at the end, though, like I just could not do it anymore.
I was working on a show calledBad Girls Club. I don't know
if you've watched that train wreck ofa show that shouldn't be legal yet,
Dude, those days I want towatch away and quit. I was like,
I was raising two kids on it, and it was a good edit
schedule, but like, damn,I didn't want to do that anymore.
Man. And that's the same thingI got the guy, you know,
in a lot of ways, Iwas just looking to get out of LA.
It was pre COVID and I tookthe jump and I went to Colorado.
(43:29):
I remember I got the phone call, but I was eating tacos with
a buddy and we were trying todare each other who could eat the hottest
taco. And I was like oneof those places where they really loaded on.
So like I'm halfway through a taco, like sweating my balls off,
and I got a call from myboss to get hired. I'm like,
what's happening. It was like ayear later too, by the way,
I applied and talked to people anddidn't hear back for like a year and
they're like, all right, yourtime is now. I was like,
all right, I guess my timeis now. Get my ass out to
(43:51):
Colorado and now I'm still here. That was like six years ago. I
can't believe it's been that. Wow. So's the that's the gist of my
origin story that led me to thisand now I'm obsased as you guys all
know everything from the podcast of filmmakingto move on investigating to work like I'm
full time UFO and I love it. Nita ran no a guy Matt and
(44:14):
who probed you? Oh that's agreat question. Who hurt you? Man?
There was a lot of stuff soI experienced. I've talked about this
before and it was like early shows, so it was probably like a rambling
mess. But I'll try my bestto get through it a little quicker this
(44:35):
time. There was a couple ofepisodes when I was a young fella back
in Australia. This is what kindof got me into the the paranormal more
than filmmaking. But there was ahouse that I grew up in when I
was maybe like five six years old, seven something like that, and I
(45:00):
swear to God this place was haunted. But there was also some kind of
weird activity going on that was man, it felt almost a little bit abduction.
Ye, And we'll get to thatin a little bit. But one
of the one of the most prominentmemories from that time was I was terrified
(45:22):
of being in this house alone becauseweird ship would happen. I distinctly remember
if I ever had to run insideto go to the bathroom or something like
that. I remember, to getto the bathroom, I had to walk
past like a little living room areawhere the TV was, and I remember
every time it was like the housewas mocking me. I would wait for
(45:45):
it. I would try to likerun past, but the TV would turn
on by itself. I don't rememberit was playing. It was just always
some odd I have this vague memoryof it being like, you know that
that picture on the screen when you'regetting like a scan of the baby when
(46:06):
your wife's pregnant, Josh, Melissa, you probably have seen the ultrasound.
That's what I'm thinking. Enough,Jesus Christ, the ultrasound. It was
kind of like a color version ofthat, and it was just like a
weird I don't know, I don'tknow why that sticks in my head is
what was being on screen, butit was like a weird image that used
to play all the time. Iused to terrify the fuck out of me.
(46:28):
And there was weird stuff like whatwas it one of the other things
there was, Oh, I ssitting watching TV and the couch was like
right next to the back back inthe day when we had home telephones plugged
in the wall, and I rememberbeing compelled to pick up the telephone.
(46:49):
No ringing, nothing cold or whatever. But I remember picking it up and
someone just talking to me like asif they knew me, and then remember
being really freaked out by that andjust hanging the phone up and be like,
I don't want to talk to thatperson anymore. It was like a
normal voice or like a freaky voiceor a robot voice. I just remember
(47:10):
being like very uh, what's theword, like overly friendly, Like we
knew each other really well, theyknew a bunch about me kind of thing,
and it was just an odd conversation. I don't really remember too much
about it, but the big thingwas there was a period in time where
(47:37):
I was terrified to go I hada room, my own room, and
I was terrified to go to sleepevery night because I had these horrible night
terrors. And some of the stuffwas like seeing a shadow on the roof
when I was falling asleep, andI knew if I kept looking at it,
something bad happened, so I'd haveto like keep, you know,
(47:57):
keep my eyes closed. And itwas like every time I looked at it,
it would get a little closer. It would get a little closer every
time I opened my eyes, andso it was like it was like a
battle of not looking at the badthing. It was that kind of stuff.
But the constant thing was at somepoint during the night I would feel
it would be like a sleep paralysiskind of thing that would hit. And
(48:22):
then later on in life, inmy sort of college years, this came
back quite a bit. The sleepparalysis in general used to hit all the
time, and I had some freakyshit going on with that. But this
was when I was a little kid, and I distinctly remember it was like
whatever would turn up in my roomat some point during the night would not
want me to be in my room. It would would trying to get me
(48:44):
out to the point where I distinctlyremember it dragging me down the hallway and
I remember looking down at my feettrying to touch the ground as I was
floating down the hallway. You knowthat weird And that would happen over and
over again, and yeah, dumpedme out in the hallway in front of
(49:06):
my parents' room, like every time, and it would happen again and again
and again, and it got tothe point where I was like, you
know what, fuck this, I'mdone with this. And this was back
in the day. I love Thomasplay of the story. This is back
of the day when Star Wars wasa big thing for young eighties kids,
and I had my own plastic lightup lightsaber toy and I was like,
(49:30):
all right, the only way I'mgonna beat this is I need to fight
it. So one night when Igot when I got over the fear eventually,
like it happened so many times,I got over the fear, and
I remember bringing the lightsaber to bed, putting new battery, made sure I
had new batteries in that sucker readyto go. Let's light that thing up.
(49:53):
And I remember distinctly the feeling thatI got it's here, it's coming
back in and I I don't rememberseeing it. I just remember like whipping
around, turning on my toy lightsaberand just start waving that suck around like
fuck you, I'm not going I'mnot getting whatever you're doing. I'm not
(50:14):
It's not happening tonight and whatever itis from that night on stopped. It
was like facing your fears kind ofthing. Yeah, and I just it
never happened again after that, whichwas wild. That makes so much sense
though, that you're kind of obsessedwith the darkness, like you want to
you want to have like more, you want to bring up more patterns of
(50:36):
existence, of of this, oflike the stuff you've experienced, so it's
not just you so you can divedeep. I mean that makes sense.
I mean I think it's a morbidcuriosity to find out, like what the
fuck was it? Like I stilljust have these vague, like terrifying memories
of like I don't know what thatwas. But it wasn't a dream.
(50:59):
Yeah, it didn't relate to yourparalysis or your sleep paralysis when you were
in college. There was no connectionbetween the early events in the college Agent
No, it was none of thatsort of stuff. I remember, like,
you know, the classic sleep paralysisof like seeing things. Oh,
there was one one time I was. It hit me when I was just
(51:21):
out of college and I was livingover with a couple of mates in Australia,
and I distinctly remember waking up andnot being able to move classic sleep
paralysis, and I could see afigure just out of the cord of my
eyes because I could only I waslooking up. I was on my back,
and I could see a figure atthe bottom of my bed and he
(51:44):
was kind of I remember distinctly hewas wearing like these blue kind of overall
looking things. It was like ahuman figure. And then feeling the presence
of someone to the left of thebed who started loving something into my ear,
and that feeling, that uncomfortable feelingof like, man, it was
(52:07):
almost like like, uh, it'sI've never experienced this, but it felt
like you know when you hear storiesof people who go on the surgery and
they start to come out of thethe anesthetic and they start to feel whatever's
happening to him. It was likethat, like not being able to move,
but something like getting increasingly more uncomfortable, like getting shoved into my ear
(52:29):
and then you know, like sortof blacking out, waking up real quick,
and then like looking around an emptyroom, like what the fuck was
that? Like there was a wildshit like that that would happen. You
should get your like you should doa scan to see if you have implants.
It should Yeah, I think I'vehad an I've had an MRI before
just out of curiosity, and Idon't think they saw anything except a big
(52:52):
sexy brain. That's what they said. So sexy. Yeah. Wow.
Anyway, So yeah, a coupleof like dark things that set me off
on this path. And I've alwayshad this crazy fascination with the paranormal,
(53:13):
with aliens all that sort of stuff. There's like weird stuff where I distinctly
remember loving The X Files, Likewhen that came out, it was,
oh my god, yes, thisis my show. All the Monster of
the Week episodes, it was allabout it. But anytime there's a point
that, anytime the alien abduction ofstuff would happen, it terrified me to
(53:37):
the point where I could not watchit. I couldn't watch any of those
episodes. I don't know what itwas. It was something just too real
about that that sort of hit home. I don't know really, but yeah,
I don't know. Maybe it wasa terrifying show. Maybe it was
just a little scanty boy. Well, it's like Black Mirror. There's some
of the Black Mirror episodes I justcan't watch because I'm like, just it
(54:00):
just feels too There's just something Ithink. I think anybody who's in this
space that's that's researching stuff, who'slistening to us, there's gonna be something
any part of any of you listeningthat you're trying to research. You're trying
to figure out what is the deal? Uh, you know, like what's
going on with whatever you experienced? And and you know, that's kind of
(54:22):
what we're doing. There's an inconsistencyin living a human life the way that
people say we're supposed to be.And I would say ninety nine percent if
people believe that, even people whoare not into aliens or ghosts, they're
not listening to this podcast, wouldnever do that who are totally in.
But there's just things people can't explainthat happen to them. And and you
(54:45):
know, I think the people listeningand us like we've really taken that on
as a journey like what is that? What is that unknown? Whether it's
dark or light or just an inconsistency, a glitch in the MA matrix.
Uh, there's things that just don'tline up, that don't make any sense.
And I think they all lead tothe bigger picture. They're all part
(55:07):
of what it is. It isand I don't think it has to do
necessarily with extraterrestrial life or demons ordarkness, I think, or even humanity.
I think it's just much bigger thanthat. And and like we're all
researching that, we're all researching piecesof like the big thing that has yet
to be figured out. It's likea lot of these like the John Keels
(55:29):
and the Jacques Fallet and all thoseguys. It's really it seems like there's
really something to do with consciousness, how we sort of how we interact with
this this three dimensional world that wedon't understand. This is like something you
know, it's you can't put intowords, you can't explain. But there's
(55:49):
something else going on that we wecan't sort of measure in the materialist world
as something else going on. Ithink, yeah, with the way some
people, some people have more ofa connection to reality, like the solid
three dimensional reality we live in,and some people have more of a connection
to it's you know, other realmsof conscious consciousness that where they can pick
(56:15):
up on different stuff. But Idon't know, that's my tay. Yeah,
I would say all three of ushave a different ability, right,
Like I think, I don't know. I think Josh, like you,
you're really tied into I mean, correct me if I'm wrong. But but
like your kind of obsession with extratrustrial non human entities, I think really
(56:39):
has to do with like something thatyou're able to understand or see like on
a different level. Am I correct? Yeah, It's almost like I was
born to talk about it, toexplore it, to make films about it.
And it's such an overwhelming passion thatit doesn't even doesn't feel normal,
(56:59):
just it does it. It's likeI feel destined to like continue this on
and see where it goes right. And And for Matt, it's like you
you would have had those experiences ifyou couldn't already tap into them. Yeah,
I guess there would be no needfor you for them to be in
contact contact with you if you can't, if you can't already pick that up.
(57:22):
Yeah, it wouldn't be interesting tome. It'd be it'd be just
fantasy, Like it wouldn't feel realto me, right exactly exactly. And
I think and I think for me, like I just I've always been pretty
good at like being able to decipher, like I could see when something is
(57:44):
real or not real, like inthe construct of where we live. I
don't know how to explain it.I'm just like I can I can see.
I can see how it unravels, like one ripple in time can unravel,
like it's sort of like torturous insome in some aspects, you can
see the code. I know agood documentary about that. That's right,
(58:07):
I know a girl with the code. Yeah, it's obsessive. I've become
obsessed with like codes and patterns, like like that's the point. That's it,
