of hope there. But yeah, I know, I do think

and sometimes one of the reasons I think people don't
trust this staff entirely is what they've seen on the field.
Right the one thing we do have evidence of is
the best game Michigan State played last year was coming
off a bye. They look really good, focused, disciplined, and
so will this team look its best fresher, healthier and

you know, real dialed in. I think they probably will.
What that looks like, I don't know, but I think
they got a decent chance to be better against the
run than they've been because they've been okay at times
that way running the football. Obviously they're down a couple
offensive linemen, but you know that this was a battle
for starting spots before the season, and can they run
the ball there against a Nebraska team that hasn't been
on the run the ball. But defensively, I think they

can look their best. I just don't know what their
best is. I don't I don't think it's going to
be something that's going to wow you.

list of best MSU offenses since twenty ten?

It's a good question. There's more to prove before you
can truly answer this and be sure about it, because
they've got to do it in difficult settings consistently and
show that they're like, doesn't matter who the opponent is.
They've got guys who are difference makers, and I think
we think they do. We think Chile's the way he's

playing obviously Nick marsh and Omari Kelly, but you know,
you still have to see it a little more. I
look at that twenty fourteen group that averaged forty three
points a game, and some of that was scheduled based,
and you know, I'm going to put up seventy in
one game that year. That was the best offense that
I've covered. I think the two thousand twenty one team would,

obviously with Kenneth Walker and Jalen Naylor and Jayden Reid
when they were all rolling before Naylor got hurt, and
like that mid October stretch when you know, playing at
Rutgers and the Michigan game, that's probably number two, number three,
thirteen to fifteen teams when they got rolling. But I

know this team has a chance to be in that
number three range. No, it's not. They could just run
the ball back then they offensive line was so much better.
I think this team has a chance to be five
after and I didn't cover ten or eleven to eleven
was good. Five or six maybe six. This team has

to run the ball well enough to be in that
top group.

with the coach you have in place, with resources not
being an issue, then you don't have the right coach.

they won the Big Ten by three games, and they
return a good core of that team. Like, to not

and you know you lose Trey Holloman, but really, Jase

Kohler and Jeremy fears Back and a number of guys
intriguing parts like the idea that this team coming off

get infatuated with that. But again, if we've talked about
this and Michigan State added the pieces they have coming
back in the portal, they certainly be ranked. I think
this team ought to be ranked. I will be surprised
if they're not, and it'll just speak more to just
