end of the year. Before we get into our segment,
don't want to welcome in one of our favorite sponsors here,
BMW and Pleasant Grove. They've been servicing the great state
of Utah with the finest vehicles on the market from
(00:24):
the ground up, elite engineering and white glove service every
single day. Especially at BMWPG. We got some great deals
going on obviously right now for the end of the year.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
I want to welcome in to the show Parker Boyce.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
He's the general sales manager of BMW in Pleasant Grove.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Parker, how thatck are you? Buddy? Hey?
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Thanks Ben, glad to be here. Appreciate you being here
to tell us about some of these deals. Now, give
me your thoughts on how we're differentiating BMW and Pleasant
Grove versus the rest of the market here locally.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
What are we going to do for our listeners for
the end of the year.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (00:59):
Look, I don't think that anyone that gets excited about
going into a car dealership, right.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
People love to buy a new car.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
It's fun to have a new car, but the experience
kind of sucks from the time you meet someone walking
in to the time you go to finance, to the
time that you're taking delivery. Okay, we're looking at all
of those different factors and we're trying to make it better.
When you walk in, you're going to meet a professional
sales staff. You're also going to meet the manager. So
you've heard Joe here, You're going to meet Joe when
(01:26):
you come in.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
He's there. He's there on site.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
He's going to be the one that appraises a car,
runs the numbers, and he's going to make sure that
you get the best deal.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Especially if you're coming in.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
They're mentioning that, you know, the bank Crittal discount that's
invoice pricing on any new BMW in stock on the ground,
barring you know, barring any m cars out peinispecial edition stuff.
But we're doing we're trying to give your listeners the
best deal we can to get rid of the negotiation,
get rid of the stuff that people don't like about
doing car deals, okay, And when you purchase the car,
(01:56):
you aren't going to go to a finance box. You
aren't going to get shook down from more or you know,
more products, more things. And when you take delivery of
the car, you can either wait for the vehicle at
the store. We're going to do a full detail, full
tank of gas, or if you'd like we do delivery,
we'll take the car to you. You know, if you're
a little bit further from the store and you don't
want to come in, we can do the entire deal remote.
So from from the from the beginning to the end,
(02:19):
we're going to try to make it as easy as
possible for for our customers to come in and hopefully,
you know, do business with us in the future.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
If you don't have a BMW, if you've never been
a BMW, i'd advisor at least go in and test
drive one, because I had my wife drive the X
five M and she came back she's like, oh my gosh,
that thing that thing goes, that thing's that think reacts
that thing. She's like, it's such a smooth drive. It's
just engineered differently. And you may be in a competitive
luxury vehicle, or you may be driving a vehicle that
(02:50):
isn't engineered as well. Come experience the unique nature of
a BMW. And right now, what we're doing is if
you buy the through the end of the year, if
if you want to get your current vehicle detailed, we'll
do it for free. It's a two hundred and fifty
dollars value front end to back end, inside and out.
While you're waiting getting your vehicle, your current vehicle detailed,
(03:12):
test drive any one of the BMW's and experienced the
BMW way.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
Yeah, I think that's a big thing. Right If you
haven't driven a BMW, you don't know why. You know
the tagline ultimate driving, you know experience, you don't know
what that is until you've had it. Sure, and it
really does. It drives different. It's gonna make you say wow.
And we want everybody to be able to come and
experience it. And while you're waiting, we'll take care of
(03:35):
the detail, will wash your current car doesn't need to
be a BMW.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Come in.
Speaker 4 (03:38):
We have our detailed staff ready, okay, and we're going
to do the entire vehicle before you come see our
new showroom. Come see our cars, and you know there's
no pressure. You don't need to make a purchase. We
just want you to come and see it and experience it.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Yeah, and as I mentioned before, you go into the location,
the BMW Pleasure Grove location mentioned myself or ESPN the
fan talk to Jokis.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
He's the sales manager and he's going.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
To take care of the white glove service, right Joe, Yeah, No,
we're we're super excited about about what we've got going
on the new showroom.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
We've got a lot of new faces. Give me a
call directly. My phone numbers. Ask for me, Ask for Joe.
It's eight zero one, four four three two zero five six.
I would love to take care of you guys. Get
your car cleaned up and come check out some of
our cars.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Give me the cell phone again, it was eight zero
one or four three two zero five six. There you go,
give them a call, give them a jingle. All right,
let's get into our college football segment.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
A little b yu Utah rivalry talk.
Speaker 6 (04:32):
It's time to celebrate the previous team sport known to man.
We're modern day gladiators collide for all the glory on
the grid. Ie, let's talk some college football on Cougar
Sports with Ben Kripple.
Speaker 7 (04:45):
Welcome back Cougar Sports one O three point nine ninety
eight point three ESPN The Fan. We're ono the three
man Weaver here Brett always bringing the hammer by my side.
Then again into a little college football segment, catch up
with one of our one of our favorite, many favorite
guys that we have on the show. So I enjoyed
talking to Tim Brown a lot, not just because of
RGS exteriors, but because of the ball knowledge. You know,
(05:06):
he's got a son playing college ball. He's a high
school coach. Gonna get caught up, I believe if I
look the results correctly, they smacked spanked somebody last weekend.
They move on to the playoffs. Got to bring home
that title, that say title. I'm a fan fan of them.
We're gonna discuss that and more. Also, we're gonna discuss
some crazy allegations in regards to.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
A fan that's been arrested.
Speaker 7 (05:27):
Look, guys, I always say you need to echo President
Nelson's message of being a peacemaker. Even in sports. You
can be competitive, you can need to be you know,
petty competitive at times, but death.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Threats all of the other stuff. We need to relax
with that.
Speaker 7 (05:41):
So I'm gonna talk about that here with Tim Brown
of RGS Experious and Construction. They're the exterior home remodeling
company that's obsessed with quality results. Get a free consolation today, guys.
That's Ourgsixteriors Utah dot com. Without further adod let's get
out to the ESPN fan of hoighline and welcome in
Tim Brown, Tim, how we live.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
In and then let's good thanks for having us. As always, of.
Speaker 7 (06:03):
Course I want to start here. Don't know if you heard,
but I'll give you the information. So a man has
been arrested after making online threats ahead of the Bautah game.
This is after the fact that both schools had put
out hey let's be peaceful pretty much. That's with their
message with this game. It gets pretty ugly. People said
a lot of nasty things online. I've had someone call
me the our word, you know, they said, you're a
(06:24):
fan blank. I can't say on radio our word. I'm like, yo,
relaxed man, like, hey, you can be for your team,
but that we don't need the nasty stuff. But police
have arrested Christopher Justice after tracking online threats made from
the account yesterday, the user said I'll be hit Lavelle
Edwards Stadium on Saturday. Any fan I see is dead,
mark my words. When another person told him to log
(06:46):
off your plan. Nah, anyone wearing red on Saturday is
getting shot close quote. Investigators identified Justice as the person
behind the account. He was arrested and his currently on
probation following a second dui conviction within ten years. The
rest came the same day the presence as I just mentioned,
both of University of Utah and bringing me on realistic
joint video urging fans to keep the quote unquote holy
(07:08):
Wood Robbery respectful and safe. There's just no place for
violence in our world in general, Tim, and in the
world of sports. Your thoughts just on this after the
president's release a video of be peaceful and respectful.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Well, look, man, people are idiots. Let's just call status
fade fact. And the thing is is the thing is
that people need to realize that this is a game.
I mean, I know we're in cans, I know we
all want to win, and it's a big deal. But
at the end of the day, let's look at a
big picture here. This is a game. Let's remember that
let's not go to those extremes.
Speaker 7 (07:43):
Yeah, we don't need to go to the extremes. Everybody's
a human, everybody has a family. Look, I always tell
fans this, if your identity is attached to this rivalry game,
which some people would is, I encourage you to look
deeper into the talents you may have, into your friendships
because regardless of what team wins and loses on Saturday,
and there will be a winner, there will be a losers.
(08:03):
There's much more that matters in this silly football if.
I don't want to call it silly because it is important,
but man, people take it way too far in my opinion,
no doubt.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Well you're you're dead on, You're dead on. I think
one thing that it takes some maturity and some growth.
And I know me as a coach, I've learned as
a don. I was talking to a good buddy of
mine the other day that used to coach with me
when we started with our boys and eight years old,
little little gremlins. You know, the more you're mature as
a coach, the more you realize it is just a game,
and you put it in perspective. Yes you want to win,
(08:33):
Yes you're intense, but there is a time and a
place for everything, and we got to get it in check.
Speaker 7 (08:38):
Gotta get it in check. Well, I'm grateful that you
have it in check. I'm also grateful that RG six
series always has it in check. Tell us about some
of the deals you guys got going on right now
with RG six Steeriors.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
Well, look, Ben, we're in that We're right in the
thick of the busy season. Things are things are crazy.
Leaves are starting to fall, the rain's falling again today.
It's you know, it's just that time of year, and
so what we're really trying to do is get customers
to give us out there before the snowflies. We do
work here around and we want to have the crews
going year round, but at the same time, we want
to try to beat the weather and try to get
(09:09):
customers to call now and get it done. Whether it's
the gutters, the covers, the decking windows, sighting, whatever it is,
let's just get it done now before the snowflies.
Speaker 7 (09:19):
Get it done now before the snowflies. Tim is right, guys,
Right now, it's October fifteenth. You're probably thinking, I got time, Ron, Tim,
I got time. You always say that then you're calling
last minute. Trust me, the bad weather will come before
you know it. Timless transition to your coaching. You know
a team in school, someone the academy. You guys spanked
Providence this past weekend, you know, kind of a rivalry
(09:40):
school not too far away. Seventy day wasn't even close.
What'd you like about the way your guys performed last Friday?
And then what are you looking forward to this week?
Is you prepared to take on Leyden Christian Academy?
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Well, I mean I think that when you have a
kind of a outside of game. The province. Hall has
got great coaches, they're really good people. They just don't
quite have the horse is yet. You know, they're trying,
they're developing and got a brand new stadium and it's
really good for them. They just don't have the horses yet.
And so it's a really good us to play and
to get a you know a lot of those JV
guys in the second half, to get those kids that
(10:12):
don't typically play. So it's a lot of fun. And
we got lake and fishing coming up. I mean, they've
got an amazing coach. He played for the Utes for
a long time and they're they're well coached a lot
of good kids, so it should be a really fun
game this weekend.
Speaker 7 (10:23):
Yeah, I'm excited to see you guys and seer you
guys on bring home that title. Always about to got
to bring on that title back to some academy.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
You guys.
Speaker 7 (10:30):
Got to go football team over there. Love the junior quarterback,
the run game, you guys got the starters. You guys
got a lot of good continuity over there. So wishing
you guys the best before I let you get out
of here. A couple of last things. I know you
might not be going to the game on Saturday, but
these tickets right now, I think the most expensive ticket
I saw was like three thousand, four hundred and eighty
two dollars right now, which is crazy. I think the
(10:53):
average resale ticket is six hundred dollars to which equals
seventy five cougartails.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Just a fun, little weird food stat for you.
Speaker 7 (11:00):
How much would you be willing to pay for a
ticket in general to go see a football game, but
especially to go see as what fans call it the
Holy War game?
Speaker 2 (11:09):
How much would you be willing to spend?
Speaker 3 (11:12):
Yeah, I mean that's a good question. I don't know
the answer to that, but I can tell you this
year is a little bit more special. You know, we
got Big Newton there, there's a little bit of excitement
around that, and you've got the first time in what
five ten years, we've got two top twenty five teams.
So and I, in my personal opinion, the winner of
this game is gonna play Texas Tech in the Big
twelve Championship. So, I mean there's really a lot riding
(11:32):
on the line for this game. So it's a big deal,
and so it matters more. So would I pay more
of this game than normal? Yeah? I would. I think
one thousand dollars, three thousand dollars. It's a little crazy
for a college game, but hey, I guess that's the
beautiful part about America is if you can get it,
get it. But you know, it's fun. It's it's a
lot of fun. And I'm Bob Gill. Reason why am
I going to be there? I mean I have tickets
(11:53):
and my group has a lot of tickets, but my
son's playing down the theater. So got to support the kid,
and I'll be watched the game on the phone.
Speaker 7 (12:01):
Hey, got to support the family. Love that you put
family first. It's you know, family faith football. That's the
way I put I know some people switch around, belove
that you're going down and support the kid first, But
you can always be connected virtually. As I said earlier
in the show with the Kooks, what whether you're in
person or virtually, you're gonna be watching. It's gonna take
years off your life regardless. Maybe it's better, Tim that
(12:22):
you're watching on the phone so you don't have to
be there and actually, you know, pull your hair out.
You'll be semi distracted as well.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
It might be, but I won't get that cougar tail,
so someone needs one for me.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Hey, somebody won again.
Speaker 7 (12:33):
Reminder, guys, if you're buying a ticket for six hundred dollars,
that's seventy five cougartails because there eight dollars apiece, which
is crazy. I love that you said that, Tim. I
just want people to remember that he said that the
winner of this game will play Texas Tech in the
Big twelfth title game. Love that being declared of on
that Texas Tech is the best team right now. And
I agree b Yu and Utah right up there in
the mix. I'll get you out of here on this
(12:55):
tim obviously LJ. Martin was named, you know, the Big
twelve Offensive Player of the Week. The Earl Campbell Taller
Rose Awards named him the National Player of the Week
as well, and then obviously Baron Bachmeyer for the third
and second week four time in his freshman career he
was named the Freshman of the Week. Will Bear at
the end of the season be the Big twelve Freshman
Player of the Year?
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Yes or no? Why or why not?
Speaker 3 (13:18):
Well, I think the next three weeks is going to
tell us a story, right, and that if he can
continue to do what he's doing and not get rattled
too much. I mean he's gonna get rabble a little bit.
He's a freshman. But if he can can speak consistent
over the next three games, I think it's going to
be no question. You know, if he can be the
Freshman of the week maybe one of the next three weeks,
I think after that he'll finish strong and he'll be
(13:39):
the guy.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Yeah. I think he's got definitely a good shot. You
bring up a good point.
Speaker 7 (13:43):
This is a tough schedule, but if he's able to
get one, if multiple, I think he definitely will be
at a lock. This award we might have to ask
that who is the last BAU freshman to win the
Freshman Player of the Year Conference award as a freshman?
I maybe Cougar Stats or bou Stats. A guy might
have to ask chat GBT to pull that one, because
bear right now is on a good jectory. Tim one
(14:03):
more time before I let you go out, know I
asked you earlier, one more time for those that are
looking for RGS sixtiers. What deals do you got right now?
For the listeners that they can buy into, Well.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
The biggest thing right now is, like I said, we're
just trying to get you to call before the winner,
and so our whole thing is is let's push it.
So we're making a little special. We got a little
supplies left over from a home show. So anybody that
will book an appointment with this just just booking the
obligation get to make a guitar blankets. So get us
out to the home and we'll bring a blanket out
with us. And then depending on the purchase, talk to
(14:35):
the sales guys and see what's left. But we have
a couple of Blackstone grills we're giving away for purchase,
so talk to the guys whom they come out and
see if you qualify for that as well.
Speaker 7 (14:43):
Talk to the guys get an opportunity for RGS six
tiers to earn your business. Reminder you want to go
to RG six Tiers Utah dot com contact him in
the scrit to do a phenomenal job award winning. You
don't want to miss it today, Tim, thanks for your time.
We'll catch up with you tomorrow as well.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Love it it and go Koogs.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
That was Tim Brown of RGS sixtiers in the college
football segment.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (15:05):
I think that's a good statement that he said, Brad Vick,
I think that's really big. The winner of this game
will face Texas Tech for the Big twelve title.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
It's gonna be a lot to telling. Or could we
be wrong? Could there be parody?
Speaker 7 (15:17):
Last year we thought it was gonna be b YU
and Arizona State, and then lo and behold, it was
ended up being Iowa State. And you know, Arizona State
and Arizona State was the best team. They throttled Iowa
State and look what they almost end up beating Texas
So you never know. You don't know till you know,
as they say, but that was your college football segment
brought to you by RGS E series. Hit up our
guy Tim Brown at RGS six tier as Utah dot Com.
(15:39):
We'll go to break, don't go anywhere. Let's get into
my Parker Kinston interview that I had yesterday. Sam might
be a little bit jacked up because the mike decided
to shut off on me during bad weather, but you'll
still be able to hear what we talked about. Pe
Caban having a phenomenal season. Will he be the wide
receiver number one? What are his thoughts on that? We'll
get that in more and the rivalry game coming up
next from his point of view. You're listening to Cougar
(16:00):
Sports here on one O three nine in ninety eight three.
Speaker 6 (16:03):
What's going on in the world of Cougar Athletics here
from players, coaches and experts on all the latest happenings

one of the bou Offensive Lignement. Don't know if he's
been interviewed yet or have, but good kid was a
great interview.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
No doubt. We'll do that next in a little player
profile segment.
Speaker 7 (16:50):
But right now, let's get into this world of Boe
Sports segment as we live from our Bandwell Studios, a
band walthought. We asked, did you get a free Q
and a no obligation to invest with our texts Smart
Wealth and Advisor's Guide nfl PA Certified Financial Planners.

Speaker 7 (17:04):
If you're a credited investor and you want to save
money into taxes, Blayne Anderson and his crew can help
him and support you. This segment gonna be brought to
you by one of my favorite sponsors. That's right, it's
the promo golf apparel. Primo Golf Vic has it on.
I see him wear it. I see Ben where the joggers.
I wear it myself. It's fall, guys, and the courses
are still open. Just because of getting a little colder
outside doesn't mean you need to stop. Keep things rolling
(17:27):
on the golf course, at home, work on the road.
With the Premo golf apparel. They got the joggers, slacks, polos, quarterships, hoodies,
all perfect for what they have to offer for you.

get them a gift card.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
A Pretymo golf gift card works as well.
Speaker 7 (18:03):
Okay, I caught it with Parker Kingston yesterday in regards
to everything. Now, I thought my mic was on, but
it wasn't. We're still gonna play the sound for you.
Hopefully you're still able to hear what me and PK discussed.
We weren't too far away from the camera, but we're
further enough. This is my interview yesterday with Parker Kingston
in regards the bau play in Utah this Saturday, here
(18:26):
with the BAUI receiver Parker Kingston. Parker, just evaluate, what
is your play? How you feel like.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Through six weeks so far?
Speaker 8 (18:32):
Yeah, I feel like I'm finally starting to come on
as a receiver and show everyone that I can play
receiver and not just be a special play guy and
a special teams guy.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
It's been good.
Speaker 8 (18:42):
Those first two weeks were a little bit, I mean disappointing,
you could say, I just didn't feel like myself. And
to be able to get gain that confidence back and
at the ECU in Colorado and they have these two
past games has been really good for me and I
just got to keep stacking these games on call.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
For each other.
Speaker 7 (18:58):
How does it help you as a receiver? And you
know people have been looking the statute chances Tuil twenty five,
but he draws a lot of attention.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Yeah, it's been it's been nice.
Speaker 8 (19:06):
Uh, he draws a lot of attention, which obviously opened
up for me. And whenever however it goes, it's we
work together, and I mean it's been it's been fun
living with him, learning from him, and yeah, just being
out on the field.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Of them fun.
Speaker 7 (19:22):
Also, obviously there's no secret just to rivalry this week.
What does his game meaning when you played it more before?
Speaker 8 (19:27):
Yeah, it's huge, obviously, it's in state arrival. It's braggy
rights for fans, for us for but we're just gonna
keep it like another game and we can't make it
bigger than it is, and we just gotta go want
to know this week and it's just another another game
in the way of.
Speaker 9 (19:42):
Where we want to go.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
It is a nice as l yes now and you
don't have to go up the rights ecles.
Speaker 8 (19:46):
Yeah, definitely, it's nice that it's gonna be here. There's
already people camping outside the stadium and it's already I
mean it's Tuesday, so it's.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Gonna be it's gonna be a little lit atmosphere for sure.
You guys have been killing it on special teams.
Speaker 7 (19:57):
How much have you watched Kilanarians, you know kick off
returning from last year, Maybe.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
You might get me the ends on this game.
Speaker 8 (20:02):
Yeah, we're gonna we do the same things. Their scheme
is the same, ours is the same, and it's just
about making plays. K Pop does a really good job
and meetings explaining and hitting hitting hard special teams during practice.
Speaker 7 (20:17):
I think is just the game to get the to
get the punt return that you're waiting for.
Speaker 8 (20:23):
Yeah, I'm hoping. I mean I had a glimpse at
it last week. I let the punter tackle me, which
is unfortunate, But I'm hoping this week.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
We can get one.
Speaker 7 (20:30):
The Chase budget all about the trailer at all.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
You know, you guys been bugging them little.
Speaker 8 (20:34):
Yeah, no, he didn't bug me. He can't really say
anything because I didn't get howked but no, yeah, I
mean we ran the same time. He actually ran faster
than But yeah, it's it's been funny.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
How fast is Chase.
Speaker 7 (20:46):
People might not know, but that you mentioned the topics,
I think he got up to like twenty one miles power.
Speaker 8 (20:50):
Yeah, yeah, he hit like twenty one six on the
eighty five yard catch, and he's fast.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
He's sneaky fast.
Speaker 8 (20:56):
He doesn't look like he's that fast because he's a
bigger guy, but he's moving.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
Yeah, he's he's the guy talk about just bear right.
Speaker 7 (21:04):
You guys have been dialed in the last two to
three play attribute that too.
Speaker 8 (21:08):
I would just say, reps in practice and finally get
him no preps that I missed out in Alfall camp.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
Bear is.
Speaker 8 (21:15):
I mean, he's phenomenal. He plays like a senior. He's
he doesn't look like a freshman out there. He runs hard,
he's smart, and it's been really fun to.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Just go back a little bit.
Speaker 7 (21:25):
Obviously the Arizona take us from your vantage point being
on the sideline Evan Johnson's last pass breakup play.
Speaker 8 (21:30):
Yeah, No, Schmiv is a dog right now. I think
he's like one of the top cover corners in the
country and it's been awesome to see him grow because
we came in together and it's our fourth year together.
To sort of see him progress and become the player
he is now is a really awesome for.
Speaker 7 (21:44):
Watch what is made as austin successful New York time
being here.
Speaker 8 (21:48):
Yeah, I would just say the consistency and the players
that have been here, we've most of our skill players
have been here for three plus years, and just having
smart guys on offense, especially at the quarterback position, and
a Rod a smart guy. He schemes up really well.
And we have phenomenal coaches on the offensive staff.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
So I think that's what it is.
Speaker 7 (22:09):
Talk about the leadership that you stepped into the world
as you're obviously chased as last year.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
You've been here a long time.
Speaker 7 (22:14):
Young guys like code Yig and obviously bring out Reggie
Fish and at other players taking the cool and just
have you been able to mentor them.
Speaker 8 (22:20):
And even yeah, I mean I remember coming in when
I was a freshman and having Pooka and Gunner and
all of those guys, So I try to be the
Pooka and gunner.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
To them now. It's been fun.
Speaker 8 (22:30):
Obviously I'm not a big vocal guy, so I've had
to obviously learn how to do that, and I just
usually leave by how I play.
Speaker 9 (22:37):
But when they come up.
Speaker 8 (22:38):
To ask questions and I'm like, I remember being in
the same situation when you're like, especially during fall camp
when it's sh shots or fire and they're stressing out,
fancy yelling at them.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
They don't know what's going.
Speaker 8 (22:48):
On and there I do what I do, but you
just you just calm him down.
Speaker 9 (22:51):
And I've been there before. And I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (22:53):
If you're obviously Killa Marrin leaves late, people might panic.
You guys, don panic.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
I said, you were a lot of number two.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
How do you feel like you've stepped into that role?
Speaker 7 (23:03):
Obviously in a late exit happens like that.
Speaker 8 (23:05):
Yeah, Obviously everything happens for a reason.
Speaker 9 (23:08):
I was happy.
Speaker 8 (23:10):
I mean, I was not happy that Keiln left. It
is sad to see him go, but it was an
opportunity for me to step into a bigger role and
it's been awesome to do. I felt like I can
finally play the receiver position and be out there at
all times.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
And it's got a fund here so far. There we go.
Speaker 7 (23:27):
That's my interview with Parker Kingston. The rest of it
cut off, I think the last like minute and a half.
But from what we got that six and a half minutes,
that was phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
What stands out to you?
Speaker 7 (23:38):
Bred there are two things big in particular that stood
up to me and an interviewed with Parker.
Speaker 10 (23:42):
I really admire people who are able to see things
from the perspective of others and think about, Okay, what
would this be like for them, because it's easy when
you first get to BYU and near freshman and you're
trying to figure things out.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
It's so nice to have those guys. And he gave
the shout out to Gunner and Pooka and the rest
of those guys.
Speaker 10 (24:07):
It's so easy, though, once you have finally reached the
pinnacle you're the top guy now to say cool, I'm
the top dog. I'm gonna do this and I'm gonna
do that. But for Parker it's I remember what it
was like being brand new here. I remember what it
was like being the freshman totem pole, confused, not knowing
(24:28):
what was going on. To me, that's an indicator of
success and just an indicator of being a great human
being is the ability to remember when things were hard
for you and then once you reach the top, think about, Okay,
what might it be like for other people who were
in a position I was not too long ago. So
(24:51):
for him to say that meant a lot to me,
because that, to me, is a big indicator of success.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
The other thing that stood out to me was.
Speaker 10 (24:59):
Man and I hope he gets the punt return against
Utah Man. I thought he was gonna get it against Arizona.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
And he got tracked down. He didn't unhook the trailer.
Apparently the punter got a hold of him. It is
him in midfield, I know, I know. But just because
he gave it the chase, we gotta give it. That's
kind of what I was in a different scenario.
Speaker 10 (25:18):
But I do believe he was ranked as like one
of the top five fastest players in college football this
last weekend. Given it from that touchdown in the first quarter.
Shot at to Parker. He's an incredible guy. He's an
incredible human. To for him to think about others, I
think says a lot about his character.
Speaker 7 (25:36):
Yeah, I think we overlook and you bring up a
good point, the same two things you brought up.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
As he got what I was bringing up.
Speaker 7 (25:41):
We missed the fact that Parker was with Gunner, he
was with Pooka, you know he was.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
It feels like it feels like a forever ago.
Speaker 7 (25:49):
Don't know if he was a Samson Aakua, but like
he was with those guys, you know, he was with
the maybe I think in Neil Powell or a Bradon
Cosper I have to go back and look at the roster.
But because he had those guys right around him when
he was a freshman, now he's able to mentor. And
he said it as Festi's yelling at him and telling
him what to do, and you got to go through
that as a young.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Guy and not going to know anything. That's a part
of learning, right.
Speaker 7 (26:10):
And he's a leader, and he says, I'm not really vocal,
but I've had to step into that role. I've had
to learn how to be more of a vocal leader.
I normally like to just let my game speak for yourself,
which is fine, but you also need both.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
So he's had to emerges that. You see that.
Speaker 7 (26:25):
I know people can get a chance to hear the
rest of the interview. But I had asked him, Hey,
an opportunity maybe to be wide receiver number one. And
what Parker told me was I got to keep doing
what I'm doing to have that opportunity next year to
be trusted with that.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Obviously, every receiver.
Speaker 7 (26:36):
Wants an opportunity to be wide receiver number one, but
he says that is something that's earned, not given.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
So he says, got to keep it up. I think
he can get close.
Speaker 7 (26:46):
There was every all the talk of Carson Roan would
be the second leading receiver on this team. Nope, I
think it's still going to be Parker Kingston. As I
mentioned in that pKa is wide receiver number two. He's emerged,
especially with the one the Keilan Marrin leaves.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
He said it. I'm not happy.
Speaker 7 (26:58):
I'm sad that it happened, but you know, those things
happen in the state of college football. But that was
a little you know what a BOE sports with Parker Kingston.
Always appreciate PK giving us a time in all the
student athletes. These guys don't have to say yes, they

Speaker 7 (27:54):
Let's get into the Austin Leousa sound Ben Crittles interview
on the flip So offensive lines been performing. They're gonna
have to step a big especially against his Utah defense.
John Henry Daily is a dude. He's been balling out.
How can they contain them? We'll catch up with Austin
and what they see on tape from this Utah defense
right here on one O three nine and ninety eight three.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Nine ninety eight point three ESPN The Fan. I'm Ben
Crital broadcasting from our Bandwillth Studios Banterwealth dot com. Please
get on that free Q and A no obligation doing
vast Q and A with our tax more wealth advisors.
As we're getting into Q four, you're probably doing a
little bit of tax planning, save money and don't give
it all to Uncle Sam. Speaking of Q four and
end of year winter is coming. Safety and security along
(28:33):
those wassatch front row roads is a priority. You gentlemen
out there that needs safety and security for your wife
and your children. I think you need to take a gander,
take a little test drive in a BMW and evaluate
it at BMW Pleasant Growth. Right now, I have Parker Boys,
General sales Manager in studio to tell you guys a
little bit about X drive and also some of the
(28:54):
deals we have on tires. And I also want to
let you guys know that if you have if you're
not in a current BMW, but you'd like to explore it,
we're offering some great value adds right now.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
The ben Crital discount.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
Okay, that's like invoice pricing, which is tremendous.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
It's a tremendous deal.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
And also while you're getting your current vehicle, you bring
your current vehicle in, you can get a full service
front to back, inside and out detail and then test
drive one of these fine machines, these ultimate driving machines.
But Parker tell us a little bit about what differentiates
in all wheel BMW driven car comparative to the other
(29:32):
vehicles in the market.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Yeah, thanks man.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
A lot of people this time you are coming in asking, hey,
what cars come with all wheel drive? Pretty much front
to back, from convertibles through our SUVs through our performance cars,
all of those are going to be all wheel drive.
So we have a ton of options. But if you're
looking at getting into something with all will drive, there's
really nowhere else you should be looking.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Then.
Speaker 4 (29:52):
BMW X drive X drives a little bit different because
instead of starting as a front wheel drive car and
adding extra that all will drive is an afterthought, BMW
starts with an all will drive platform. It's going to
be rear wheel drive bias, so it performs like a
sports car. Still, okay, it's not going to be feeling
like a four wheel drive car. It performs like a
(30:14):
sports car. It's also predictive compared to reactive, so instead
of waiting for slip to occur, it's going to take
into account steering angle, throttle response, yaw rate of how
fast the vehicle's turning, and it's going to predict before
the slip happens to do just the torque and adjust
where the power is being sent. There's nothing like it,
So whether you're in dry or wet surfaces. X drive
(30:36):
is going to perform well every single time. And for
Utah winters, you don't want to be driving anything else.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
Yeah, as soon as the ladies in your life, gentlemen,
see the stability reviews, the safety reviews. It's all about
safety and security for your kiddos and your wonderful wife,
they're going to want to be in a BMW. Check
it out today. And also buy three tires right now
b AW and Pleasure Growth and get one free. That's
another deal. But the service center is providing when you
mentioned myself or ESPN, that's buy three tires, get one free.
(31:05):
And remember you get the bend Criddle discount on all
models minus a few of the unique products that you have,
the alpinos.
Speaker 4 (31:13):
And amitted edition stuff that's going to be a bit
harder anything else that we have.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
You mentioned the ben Criddle discount.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Invoice pricing, and go in and march in there and
ask for Joe Gestello, the sales manager. Joe, what's up
a white gloves service? Do you provide my listeners?
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Ben?
Speaker 5 (31:27):

just want people to come in and experience our cars.
If you send them my way, I will clean up

a twohundred and fifty dollars value. They'll clean the inside,
they'll clean the outside, and while they're cleaning up the car,
give us the opportunity to show you how great our
vehicles are. We're so confident that you guys are going
(31:50):

Okay, let's get into it.
Speaker 7 (34:02):
Bank Criddles interview yesterday with b YU offensive Lineman Austin LEUSA.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
All right, we got number fifty five Austin Leusa b
YU offensive line in Austin. Great win down to Tucson,
A tough one with a storm delay. What was that
experience like for you head down to Arizona getting that dup?
Speaker 11 (34:21):
Yeah, it was definitely a good one. It was a
great team win. You know, I think we did the
little things right. You know, we had some adversity, and
our coaches knew that we were gonna have some adversity
in every other game, just like every other game. But
you know, we handled it well. We were able to
bounce back and eventually it came up with the belt.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
So how did the storm maybe impact you the offensive line?
What did you guys does when you guys entered into
the locker room, how did you stay right? And was
there a little bit of a lag when you came
back onto the field at all?
Speaker 9 (34:48):
Yeah, No, I don't I don't think there was any
bit of a lag.
Speaker 11 (34:51):
I know it may seem like it because you know
they you know, they scored a little bit more than
they should have. But throughout the whole time, our our
strain coaches and our coach reternatives just to relax, just
to keep our minds shop, you know, don't do anything crazy,
you only need.
Speaker 9 (35:01):
To get all hyped up. We just need to stay and.
Speaker 11 (35:03):
Do our want to live in football, even when we're
not even in the game, And you know that at
that time, it was just relaxing and and just doing
with our coach and our strengths, our strength staff wanted
us to do.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
When I was evaluating the film, the offensive line was dominant, right,
and you're a big part of that. You know, you
guys are the no namers. No one's talking about the
offensive line. Every talking about Bear and LJ. And that's
how it was supposed to be. But how did you
guys grade out in the offensive line rom this week?
Speaker 11 (35:27):
I think we all graded up pretty well. Coach Woods,
you know, he's he's tough on us with the.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
Grades, but he's he's very respectable with him, but.
Speaker 11 (35:33):
He's also very honest as well. And so I think,
you know, collectively as a group, we did very well.
Speaker 9 (35:38):
I mean, we rushed for like two hundred and sixty yards.
Speaker 11 (35:40):
I think LJ had his career high in rushing yards,
and then Bear almost had a hundred yards as well.
Speaker 9 (35:45):
So I think that just.
Speaker 11 (35:46):
Goes to show how, you know, collectively, we worked together well.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
It looked like also there could have been a record
set for knockdowns?
Speaker 2 (35:55):
Was there a record set this week? I don't was
it close?
Speaker 9 (35:57):
It was close?
Speaker 11 (35:58):
I don't know, you know, Bruce, and let's set the
standard pretty high for us this year, but I don't think.
Speaker 9 (36:03):
I don't think we've got the record yet.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
So who ended up getting the knockdown pancake giver of
the week?
Speaker 9 (36:09):
Oh man Le's player of the game Kyle safarchuk Man.
Speaker 11 (36:11):
Kyle, he had the game winning fum of recovery and
then he had a game winning block in double overtime.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
What stands out to you about this group?
Speaker 1 (36:19):
What do you like about the individual play of these guys?
Let's highlight your teammates along that offensive.
Speaker 9 (36:24):
I think we're all just we're versatile.
Speaker 11 (36:26):
We all we can play any position that Coach Woods
wants us to play. But we play as a unit,
you know, no matter who's in you know, we see
we rotate at guard, we can rotate at tackle too.
So I think that just goes to show that, you know,
the coaches have a lot of trust in us, but
we have to have a lot of trust and belief
in ourselves as well.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
What's the culture like in that room?
Speaker 1 (36:43):
What is TJ maybe foundationally set forth as this is
our culture, this is the expectation.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
How would you describe it?
Speaker 11 (36:50):
Yeah, so I think Coach Woods he puts a big
emphasis on a saying called He says it all the time.
He says, the environment changes, we don't. And so I think,
you know, we we that approach every day. You know,
we're gonna do our one eleven. We're going to go
into practice saying whybe we do every other day? You know,
just because it's a new team, that doesn't mean we're
going to change anything. We're gonna just put our head
down and work hard. So that's that's what the big
(37:11):
emphasis he puts on us.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
Each week.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
Do you guys go out at player the game for
the most knockdowns or is it the highest graded?
Speaker 2 (37:19):
Like, how do you guys decide who's the player of
the game. A lot of the offensive line, I.
Speaker 11 (37:21):
Think the Gas have something that they do. To be honest,
it's not real specific. They kind of just let us
know who's an algorithm. Yeah, it's like whatever they choose
that that week.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
So, okay, what do you like about maybe the individual players?
Like what stands out to you about the style of
Andrew and Isaiah and Waylan and Bruce and Kyle et cetera.
Speaker 11 (37:42):
I think we're all just super athletic, like we're able to,
you know, stretch the field when our coach wants is too.
Speaker 9 (37:47):
We're able to get in.
Speaker 11 (37:48):
There and drive blocks, We're able to sustain them, and
we're great in the past game when it comes to twist,
we're able to pick them up as well. And so
I think just us being so versatile. But you know,
we're five is one essentially, and you know that's that's
how we that's how we play.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
This is maybe your toughest opponent, toughest defensive front you
face all season long. You have a lot of experience
right in college football and including last year in the
Big Twelve. What stands out to get that Utah defense
in front of what challenges do they post?
Speaker 11 (38:18):
They're always going to have a stout D line, They're
always gonna have a stout D line and some backers
that can play football. And I think they're very similar
to our defense in many ways. I think the best
defense that we play every each week is our own defense,
and I think this defense is right behind them. But
they have great players, great coaches, and they're gonna give
us their best.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
What about BYU's defense is preparing you for this Utah defense?
Like what is so special about the BYU defensive front
that is maybe been a refining fire for you this
season and even last season.
Speaker 11 (38:51):
Yeah, I think the specialness of our defense is how
able they were to quick up, how able how quickly
they're able to pick up Jay hills schemes, you know,
schematically Jay Hill throws a lot at them, and then
they're able to be sponges and and do everything they
need to do to eventually put out good game film
on Saturdays.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
So why do you like blocking for LJ and Bear?
Specifically when you go back and watch tape. Obviously what's
happening behind you, you don't always get to see it, right,
you know, I turned it around and watch it. But
like when you go back and watch them, like, what
do you like about how they run?
Speaker 11 (39:21):
And He's plays run hard man, their ballplayers, their dogs.
Speaker 9 (39:24):
They love to get into the fight.
Speaker 11 (39:25):
They're not they don't shy away from contact. I think
Bears like he's getting hit and he's getting up talking crap.
He's just you know, and that makes an old lineman
want to play for him.
Speaker 10 (39:33):
You know.
Speaker 11 (39:34):
LJ is kind of the more quiet one he kind
of just you know, just runs people over and then
just smiles or whatever. You know, people just bounce off them,
but just you know, watching those guys run, watching them
play hard for not only us, but the fans are families,
you know, it makes you want to play for them.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
How often when you're what was that.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
When when you talk about protection and and audibles and
things that nature at the line of scrimmage? How often
is that, you know, bear, how often is it the
offensive line making those calls?
Speaker 2 (40:07):
How often it is maybe LJ making those calls?
Speaker 9 (40:10):
I don't, honestly don't even know.
Speaker 11 (40:12):
I think I think that all just depends on what
we're trying to do for that specific week.
Speaker 9 (40:18):
Essentially, I don't talk about I'm just doing what I'm
talking to, be honest.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
What is stood out to you about the offensive performance
thus far this year, through through six games, What have
you really liked about how the offense is performing.
Speaker 11 (40:33):
I think I really love how we're leaning on the
O line a lot more this year. We're running the
rock a lot more, which opens up the pass game
down the field, and so I mean it goes to
show I think LJ has almost six hundred and fifty
yards or something like that.
Speaker 9 (40:47):
I mean, just got that award I think last week.
Speaker 11 (40:49):
And so I think we're just they're just able to
trust us a little more and they're they're just depending
on us.
Speaker 9 (40:56):
A little bit more too.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
How can we get more eyes on the trench warfare?
Speaker 9 (40:59):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (41:00):
Do we need to have kind of like an outreach
where the offensive line goes down?
Speaker 11 (41:03):
Mike up my wife or something, because she's she comes
home to me every week? Why aren't you guys getting
highlighted them? But I don't know, man, It's just how
it always is. You know, the big the big uglies.
You know, they don't they don't get a lot of shows.
So and that's fine with us. You know, we work
in the shadows. We're okay with that. We'll give all
the praise and everything glory to everyone else. So we're
good with that.
Speaker 1 (41:20):
What's like your favorite play call? You don't have to
get the name of it, but what's typically like your
assignment and what are you doing like where you just
get like stoked about It's like, hey, is it like
a combos?
Speaker 2 (41:30):
Like a power is a lead?
Speaker 3 (41:31):
What is it?
Speaker 9 (41:31):
I just love pulling?
Speaker 11 (41:33):
Like so pulling when I when I'm able to pull
and you know, hit the edge on a d M
who's not expecting yet.
Speaker 9 (41:38):
I think it's fun. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (41:41):
One last thing, Logan ended up taking out a pulling
guard of the opposition last week.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
I don't know if you saw that, Logan.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
Logan, Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is he a tough guy to
get off? That said it. When he's trying to set
that edge, it's a brick wall right there.
Speaker 11 (41:55):
And then you know, mean me and him call each
other senior citizens on the team and about twenty six,
we're old and so you know, when you when you
have some experience like he.
Speaker 9 (42:04):
Does mine, it's like running into a wall.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
So shout out to the log I think he may
still be leading the team in tackles right.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
Now even after that game. Yeah, well deserved awesome. Say
ladies and gentlemen. Message to Kugarnation watching to come out
to Lavelle this.
Speaker 9 (42:17):
Week, Cougarnation.
Speaker 11 (42:18):
This is probably gonna be one of the biggest games
of the year, probably the most anticipated game of the
year for us and probably for them as well.
Speaker 9 (42:25):
But we're gonna need every single one of you.
Speaker 11 (42:27):
We're gonna you know, we're gonna show love and appreciate
you for you guys, and we're gonna get.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
The love it. What are you studying really quick? What
are you getting into after football? Actually? I know you
probably want to play in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
That's awesome, But yeah, outside of football, what are you
looking to do?
Speaker 9 (42:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (42:39):
So I'm actually getting my degree right now in sociology,
So I'll finish up that this December, and then me
and my wife have dabbed a little bit.
Speaker 9 (42:46):
In in real estate and then hopefully, you know, up until.
Speaker 11 (42:50):
The real estates start taking off for us, I'll probably
be a firefighter, probably working like life insurance or something
with sales, medical sales, just doing stuff like that.
Speaker 9 (42:59):
Just talking to people.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
Love it sweet, I'll say, who said thanks so much? Brett.
Speaker 7 (43:02):
Do you feel like BYU had their best game of
the season against Arizona?
Speaker 2 (43:07):
Yay or nay?
Speaker 10 (43:08):
Why or why not? One hundred percent? I feel like
they have their best game of the season. There were
so many things that worked against them. I think we
can all agree that Arizona to this point in the season,
was the best game, best team that they've played this season.
It was also the most rushing yards that they've had
in the game since Portland State. And while we love
(43:28):
that performance, I don't know that were necessarily We're not
that In terms of the best performances this season, Arizona
the fourth. They've given up the fourth most yards in
terms of rushing the football, fourth least sorry, fourth least
yards in terms of rushing the football. So this is
a very good Arizona football team. There was a lot
of things working against this team. They dug themselves out
(43:50):
of holes. The offensive line was a massive part of
every single thing they had to do to win this
ball game. They're not going to get the credit, but
they deserve it. They definitely deserve it. They passed the
test last week. The entire offense did, specifically the boys
up front. LJ had his best game of his career,
career performance carrying the ball in to the ball as well,
no doubt. But this Saturday biggest tests are going to
(44:13):
face all season, especially with the rivalry game.
Speaker 2 (44:15):
Will they pass it?
