What's that be Pop?
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Hey, So I win that award with your mom? She
knows me the interviews the best.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
She likes number one. She's like, I love his personality.
She's like Benjamin Benjamin Joseph. I love his personality, I
love his opinions, and I love his football all She's
always learned something with be Pop.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
Oh cool, that's well. I'm happy I could be a
source of entertainment for your mom. And I think a
couple other people out there ahead many. As long as
you know you got one person that likes you, that's
that's a positive. It is a zero.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
It is a positive. It is definitely a positive. Real
quick beat, Poppy. I know you're busy. You're you're building
gyms for everyone across the wasas at front. A lot
of our listeners have reached out to you. What are
some of the common questions they're asking you regarding either
the XPT equipment or building out a gym.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
Yeah, I mean we've we got a gym in the
truck ranch there and West Jordan. I was actually just
in Townis last week when by stopped to take a
look at it. Not only is the truck ranch facility amazing,
but the gym fits right in. And uh and that's
the biggest question, you know, I think is you know
what the scale, how how scalable? Is this is my
job too small? Some people ask more or others like
(02:52):
you know the commercial jobs and eyes just too big
for you. And we do it all. We we do.
Whether it's a home gym, it could be all like
a like a like a rec room, a bedroom, it
could be a garage. We did a ton of garage
gyms all the way through high end commercial gyms like
you see in the truck ranch. And so we don't
have any jobs too small or any jobs too big.
And yes, it is a free service. What I've always
(03:13):
believed in when I played is there's no entitlement here.
We want to earn your trust. We don't expect you
to just give it to us. And that's why we
offer this service so that we have an opportunity without
any strings attached, to show you how we're going to
hustle for you. We're going to be detail oriented and
we're going to work extra hard to make sure that
we deliver and exceed your expectations. So call me we
can talk about this in addition to talking. Do you
(03:35):
like football my numbers eight oh one three six eight
one one O two. That's eight oh one three six
eight one one o two, or simply just send a
text and we can also get the ball rolling that way.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Grady for being to ladies and gentlemen. Be pop Camp
Koalani twenty twenty five. We're in two weeks now of
the quarterback competition versus what McKay, Hillstead, Bear Bockmeier and
tracing Borgay, what did we learn about BYU football in
the quarterback competition after Saturday scrimmage.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
Well, the biggest thing you're going to learn right now,
I think it's in a lot of situations, is that
the defense is just ahead of the game, you know,
and then we and that's just the nature of playing defense.
It's very rare that an offense, especially early in camp,
is going to come out and and and and I'm
gonna say our defense now is better than it was
last year by quite a bit. And it starts at
(04:25):
those front seven guys. I don't really maybe I talked
to you about this thing last time then or just
talking shop with you guys. But the last last front
that I remember this good, uh, at least just from
the top, and I don't think there's deep for sure,
was the ezekiel Ans, Kyle van Noy and Bronze of
Kafusi front. That's you know. And then we got layers
(04:46):
to this guy. And so when you got that, you
got a second team. That there are guys in our
second I will put it this way. Our second team
would start for a lot of excuse me, a Big
five schools, for sure. There's guys on there that would
probably start another And I mean, well you know that
as we got like tagger it out there right now,
Josh seeing out there. Uh, even you know, Wakeley's out
(05:08):
there looking for starting jobs. There's enough talent on our
team right now that there's there's must we have more
than eleven starters on defense.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
Another thing I learned. Our offensive line is really solid,
really sound themselves, but from the quarterback perspective perspective, there's
just it's it's one of those things to where you
got guys that didn't expect to start that are now
thrust into this position where they got to kind of
figure it out and it's just gonna take time.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
You know.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
Last year, at this time, I mean I thought Bohannon
was gonna be the guy, and all of a sudden,
Jake turns it off and becomes the guy and helps
us to eleven to two season. You know, very similar
thing could happen. But it's just it's really it's to me,
it's just like you got to get that scrimmage. You
got to get them out there in Lavelle. You know,
I even observed as I was at the scrimmage, some
of those guys kind of an awe like, oh this
is this is a runnerstand my god, you know, and
(05:56):
they kind of played that well, I said, not taking
the back of my head. I was like, wait till
fans here going up, you know, And and AND's and
another thing too, is you know, especially with the guy
like Bear, it's like, we don't know how good he
is until you get him in a game like situation
where he gets to run freely. He's gonna get hit,
you know, because a lot of times those types of
guys they need to get hit, They need to kind
(06:20):
of get into the action, to really get into the flow.
And when they're not, it's just kind of they're they're
kind of disconnected a little bit, I think. And so
with Bear, especially at a Mkay was solid. I thought,
you know, Trason was solid, but Bear is the guy
that really and you guys all know why I like him.
You know, if you could guess, it's because he's big,
he's physical, and he he's going to be a real
(06:40):
problem running the ball, you know. And so when you
add that up together, like for example, if you know,
i'd imagine in the first one, he you know, if
he gets to play, they started, I don't know you know,
if he's actually going to be the starter or not,
but his first action, you know, he is going to
be so amped up. The most likely you're just gonna
have to call some kind of quarterback lead maybe two
of them, and just let him black in there a
(07:00):
couple of times to kind of settle them in and
then let him, you know, just play the quarterback position
as it is. But uh so, my point is is,
like it's it's really hard to see to know where
a guy like Bear sits in the scrimmage where he
knows he's not going to get hit, you know, where
he most likely needs to get hit to really settle
into what he's capable of if he watched his high
(07:20):
school film. But to me, he's the front runner right now.
He's the guy that everybody has to catch up to
because there's so much upside with him. But I just I,
as you guys know, I value more than anything that
that running ability from the quarterback, and more so than
anything that physical running ability Cam Newton style, Taysom Hill.
Although I would put Bear's ability he reminds me more
(07:44):
of a t Bowe than you know, like Tasta Tasam's
like next level nobody has his skill set. He's not
a guy that's going to be like Lamar Jackson that's
slippery and and stuff like that. But but he's got
enough wiggle and he's got enough power that he could
run through blocks or excuse me, run through the whippy tacklers,
break tackles. But he has enough astle athleticism too to
(08:07):
be evasive. So I want to see that in action,
you know what I'm saying. And I think in action
that creates a lot of problems because as soon as
the guy gets running, what generally happens is the defense
has to simplify. And if for a young quarterback, and
we saw and I saw it was personally against RG
three R three his rookie year. He was running all
over us. And I'm talking us as in the NFL,
(08:28):
and uh, you know my I was at that time
with Dash Cowboys. We had Rex Ryan, uh or excuse me,
Rob Ryan, his brother, who was generally our weekend week
out game plans were very complex, a lot of blitzes,
a lot of packages. I go in and get a
call sheet. It's like three calls per situation. We usually
had six or seven. And Rob Ryan was like, I
get it. I get a weird deal with RG three.
(08:51):
We can't have the safety blitzing off the heads trying
to figure out if he's keeping the ball or getting
it off in the read options. So we're gonna keep
this simple, and it don't. I mean, I was like,
no wonder whits had such a year because that's what
everybody's been doing. So like with a guy like Bar,
I can see the same thing happening to where you
pretty much have a game plan. All of a sudden
he starts pounding it and all of a sudden like, hey,
you got to throw his game plan out. We've got
to simplify things and that will help him out. So
(09:12):
I'm excited. I think that I think that's the option.
I think, And to be quite frank, even if Rats left,
and this is kind of a hot take, even if
Ratsluft's are available this year, this Bear kid, in his
running ability is is good enough to where maybe they
would have played him more, you know, like in rid
zone options or readoption red zone situations or short yard
(09:34):
situations to where they don't have to, you know, expose
a guy like you know, Red left. So I think
Bear would have been on track to probably play anyway.
So but he's the one that to me has the
most upside and with his running ability, which is a
physical one, is what is who I would say gives
us the best chance right now. But you just never know.
You just never like I said, like I said last year,
I thought Bohanna was the guy, and then reds Laft
(09:55):
turned it out. So who knows McKay a just light
it up or trace him? Get no one who knows.
But but I'd say, right now, Bear's guy.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Yeah, it's an intriguing commentary. After the first scrimmage, you
figure the guy that's most tenured would separate himself at Lavelle,
the guy that's most experienced, and that would be McKay
Hillstead or even Trace and Borgae, that those guys would
separate themselves. And sounds like there isn't much separation right
now between McKay, Trason, and Bear, and that keeps bearing
(10:26):
the conversation for another week and could lead a coaching
staff to go with the young buck, being that the
strength of schedule is much easier on the front half
than it is on the back half.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
Absolutely, And I mean you're right. I mean the thing
is is like Both McKay and Tracon make really good throws,
you know, and they can run. They have running ability.
Last year when we're getting ready to players Owner, you know,
McKay caused our defense tons of problems because Arizona's quarterback
Fafida is a guy who never takes sacks. I mean,
this guy will run around like fran Tarktin and hold
(11:01):
the ball for ten seconds, right, And McKay was doing
that in practice with a lot of success against r
Tie our defense, which last year is one of the
top ones in the Big Twelve. So McKay he can,
he can, He has shown at least a practice or
he can do well, and he's he's continue he's played well,
you know, I think he's done well. And Trayson's had
some really nice throws. I just look at it purely
(11:22):
from you know, McKay is not a big kid, and
they're gonna want to run him. You know. It's just
and that it's the nature who he is, who he
wants to run. He's a competitive kid, and and I
kind of see trace him in that same line where
he's he's gonna want to run. But I just don't
know how they're how they're gonna hold on, you know,
Whereas you have Bear, who is a big kid. He
wars forty seven because of his history of playing a linebacker,
(11:44):
you know, I mean, he's got the body type that
I believe you can make him kind of a Bell
Caup quarterback runner. But he throws well enough to keep
a defense honest. So and that, and so I just
look at it more from a perspective. And again this
is Brady peping opinion. I haven't you know, I haven't
got any assessment from Klannie or what the actual coaches think.
But my opinion is that is far more sustainable and
(12:07):
there's more upside to that. So as long as he
continues to show growth and a sense of getting more
comfortable with what they're throwing at him, it's like, it's
hard to go with that older guy. And it's kind
of the same philosophy that's used in the NFL. The
NFL is, if you have two players, one older ones
younger that are pretty much equal, you go with the
young guy. Why because of upside? So that's kind of
(12:28):
just how I see it. Again, this is Brady p
Pinga's I view here. Nothing, there's no inside information I'm
sharing here. But the way I see it is if
there anywhere close, you know, if there's anywhere closer performance,
I just think and Bear would be the one that
I would go with.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
Personally, this defense it seems as if it's a top
twenty five defense. You mentioned that it could be as
good as that twenty twelve team, which was a arguably
the best defense in Bayu football history. Giansa, Ronney Funga, Bronskafusi,
Russell Ti Laveya was on that. Spencer Hadley won of Cavanga,
(13:07):
Brandon Ogle Tree, Kyle Vanoy. You had Dandy swartzon, Craig
Bills on the back end, Jordan Johnson, Preston Headley at corners.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
This is a really good defense.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
And so when an offense is struggling versus a defense
like this, like what what can you take away from it?
Speaker 4 (13:23):
That's a great question, because that's the other thing that
you have to factor in when you're looking at camp,
is like, well, who are you playing against? You know?
And in this defense, like I told you, it's not
just top tier guys, then it just drops off. It's
like waves. They got three waves of guys that I'm like, man,
this third stream linebacker, could play, you know, could have
started my year, you know what I'm saying, or like,
(13:46):
it's just like this is the this is the best
town you always ever had, you know, overall, you know,
but then when you talk defense, and you just got
guys like Tonavasa Glasker Jack, you know, j T the
five man, He's made some huge progress. I think has
really has influenced him to step up his game. And
the coaching, you know, si Only has done a very
nice job. And then you got other guys around their ascending,
(14:09):
and then the question marks really are at cornerback. You know,
it's like who's going to step up and be the
guys there? Which obviously that's that's important, you know, because
you're you're losing. You know, Jacob Robins the last year,
who's one of our top players, and he made huge
plays for us weekend and week out. We got to
have a guy in the second ary to to replicate that,
you know. So it's not like they go in with
zero questions. But coming into the season, I mean, this
(14:31):
this is a defense to where when and how do
you know they're good? Is what the offense? The only
chance they have against our defense as long as our
defense is executing is they have to like execute two perfection.
And that's how you know a good defense is a
good defense because there's no like, there's no guineas, you
know what I mean, Like everything is earned, everything is
(14:52):
a grind, you know, and so at any at any rate,
this defense is is I'm excited about it again all relatives.
Who knows there may be other defenses that are that
have made improvements out there just as much as we have.
But but from what you just compare last year, do
I use version of the defense to what you see now,
there's a big jump and it's impressive.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
So going back to the offense, I said immediately after
Jake the Drake retch left situation occurred that that you
may just need to run quarterbacks a lot more this year,
all three of them. If you get injured, it's almost like, uh,
you know the old Rocky saying, I can't remember which
Rocky the Russian. If he dies, he dies, If he
(15:36):
gets injured, he gets injured, you know what I mean,
Just run through these quarterbacks because you got to be
able to run the football. And if you can run
the football with ljcione and your quarterbacks with a good
offensive line.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
You know that that that can move the sticks your.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
Thoughts, Yeah, that's no, I that's that's I think always
the thinking of Klannie and Roderick. You know, they want
to be a team has the ability to pound the
ball to keep you on you know, keep you on
time offensively, you know where you're facing second down and six,
third and threes, you know, fourth and ones, because they're
(16:10):
going to go for it, you know, on fourth and
ones in certain situations, I think fourth and three or
less and certain situations it's an automatic because they're very
disciplined to analytics. Uh, the Lions. You know, you see
Dan Campbell doing the same thing to where you know
you're you're you're playing the odds and if you have
a physical team, those odds are actually a little bit
more on your side. And so that that absolutely is
(16:33):
their mentality and it always has been their mentality. And
then throwing the ball has been kind of the icing
on the cake to keep defenses honest, because you know
how it is, Band wants you to get grown with
the running game. All of a sudden, people start sneaking
down towards line of scrimmage, and you've got to be
able to make them pay for that, and you've got
to put them in a situation where it's almost like
a no win situation where you got to keep guys deep.
But then at the same time, you have to play
(16:54):
strong against the run, and that puts you on your
heels as a defense. But uh, but like I said,
the hardest thing to stop has always been that quarterback
run because the defense is just by numbers, by sheer numbers,
you do not have enough players. And then also if
you're playing teams like Utah and these other really heavy
man press teams, that discourages them from one and two
(17:15):
play man press, or if they do now they have
to add a spy to their front, which takes away from,
you know, one of the four man rush guys. So
it depletes the defense's ability to cover and to rush
if you have a quarterback that could run. And so
that's the reason why this running quarterback is so viable
now and it's becoming more and more prolific throughout all
levels of football. But you're right, I mean, they have
(17:35):
three guys that are i would say, very functional running.
Like I said, Bear, I would give him the edge
on his ability to run just because he's bigger and
he's more physical and that's what he's used to. But
these other two guys, Tracy McKay, have the ability to
go out and make a defense, you know, really push
a defense and being able to have to stop them
as runners and then they're past. All three of these
(17:56):
guys can pass too. You know, when I compare Bear
to Tintebo, it's not like his ability to run is
like Tintibo, but his ability to throw as far as period.
I mean, he's throwing some balls into the tiny windows.
He's throwing some nice ded balls. He's had some throws
right been like, man, that's a nice throw considering the coverage,
considering you know, what's going on around him. And McKay
and Trace have both been in that same conversation, so
(18:18):
we're not it's not like we're talking Ben about Okay,
we don't have anybody that could throw the ball. We
just got to go pound the quarterback, you know. But
at the same time, that has to be something that
you do. You have to be willing to put your
quarterback out there. Like I said, guy like McKay and
even Trace, and I'm not sure because even even Jake
Laster struggled and really keeping himself health becaus the year
went on and information started to come out, you know,
(18:40):
versus Kansas and some of these other games where he
can look kind of, you know, not himself. He was.
He was a little banged up from a lot of
the running that he was doing. And so that's just
the question is who can run the ball as a
quarterback but yet to stay healthy enough and fresh enough
to continue to be productive or functional?
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Who else should be au fans get to know on
this roster. You got to see this this group compete
at Lavelle. Who stood out to you from a personnel standpoint?
Speaker 4 (19:09):
Personnel standpoint, Oh man, it's it's not anybody new, quite frankly,
you know, you got the same old guys that just
keupy Balding, you know, like Chase, he's in and you
gotta get Chase a lot of credit, you know. He
You have this guy Jake who he's going to be
your quarterback. He developed chemistry with him. The boom that's gone,
(19:30):
and now you've got three different guys that you have
to deal chemistry with that are a little bit different.
They all see the field a little bit differently, you know,
and Chase is a consummate pro man. He goes out there.
He you know, throughout every practice that I've seen, he's
always doing what he's always done, getting open, making a
tough catch, becoming a very difficult person to cover, which
(19:50):
that tends to lead to past inferences from a defensive
perspective because he is physical. So you guys like Chase
stick out to you, you know, the tight end. You
you asked me to look at me right over the
last little bit. Man, he's a little bit more athletic
than his uncle a lot. He's egg He's got really
(20:11):
you know, strong and explosive lower body. So in the
run game he does a nice job a big target downfield.
So that's that's one thing offensively that I've really been
like intrigued by his our tight ends. You know, we're
you know, we had Ryanard last year and a Swanson
and kind of after him and you just kind of
have guys filling in. But you know, this year you
(20:31):
can see that this is what this is the focus
they wanted to do offensively is involved the tight end
more and get the tied end to be a big
part of another the run game, but also the pass
game because they both compliment each other. So I think
the tight end groups had been fascinating. Like I said,
the offensive line across the board, I thought, uh, considering
our guys on the defense has been impressive, you know,
(20:52):
and then a ton of ostager. I just I just
can't get enough of those kind of guys, you know
what I'm saying, Because he's just not big. I don't
think people realize this about mccloney. He brought this to
my attention, and it makes sense. The dude is just big.
The dude gives all I mean, just motor all out
every single play, running as the ball, disruption press in
(21:13):
the pocket. He's smart. He understands blocking schemes and how
to defeat him. And that's why last year against Utah,
he was a single handedly destroying our offense. By the way,
if anybody really paid attention to that game, he was
the guy that pretty much almost carried Utah to beating us.
And now he's on our team. You know, that's exciting. So,
you know, like I said, gets you everybody new. It's
a lot of guys that you'd expect to do well,
(21:34):
and it's fun to see them grow grow in to
the scheme. And again get get to get to get
to take advantage of the resources that to do what
you program offered me, you know, because that's the one
thing I think Clona does so well is he puts
in his players every possible resource, whether it's good coaching, nutrition,
high level training, to just take your opportunity as a
(21:57):
college football and maximize it to his full. Sto Plenty
has just fought for everything on all of those ends
to make it, you know, as good as you can
get anywhere in the country. And those guys would take
advantage of it. They're going to have, like I said,
they're going to like the results that they see. And
so it's just it's not anybody new. I think it's
simple guys that are that are on that track of
(22:18):
just pushing the envelope to get a little bit better,
and they're doing that.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
Brady vinga former b YU Great Super Bowl champion, talking
to BYU Football. Uh and they keeping up with a
cougar segment brought to you by Odion Men's where Odion
Menswear dot Com. What's like the floor and the ceiling
of this team? Do you think from a win loss
perspective for the regular season be pop you know, you're
getting to know this roster a little bit better. You know,
(22:43):
do you have a floor? Do you have a ceiling
on on what this team can do this year?
Speaker 4 (22:48):
It's so hard because I the only way you can
make those predictions is you have to be able to
see these other teams, you know, because it's like I
always said this last year too, it's like, yeah, we've
gotten better or that. It's it's all about who gets
the who who increases, you know, or it's like at
who who gets better at highest rate? That's what I'm
(23:09):
going for. And so it's like who gets better the fastest, right,
And so you can't you can't you can't say, you know,
I don't know. You know, I don't know what's going
on with Utah, you know, like you know, with their
new quarterback and new offensive scheme with Jason Beck up there,
Like how quickly is that molding together? How quickly is
that coming together? You know, because that's a situation where
if they're anywhere like, uh, like let's say two notches
(23:32):
better than they were last year with that defense, that's
a really good team, you know. And then on the
other side of it, you look at other teams like
Texas Tech, if i'd had, you know, additions TCU, Arizona
State supposedly you know, the front runner, and so how
much you know there's been going to a big Bowl
game last year? Does that kind of you know, have
them settle into a little complacements? You just don't know,
(23:52):
you know, So it's hard to really say, like you know,
what's the what's the max and what's what's the minimum.
But if I was going to take an educated as
you know what I mean, like this team is for
surely when you just look at them on paper, more
than capable of winning eight games, you know, so I'd say,
like the mark is eight of what they're they're more
than capable of winning. Does that go higher or go lower?
(24:13):
I would say that's going to be relative to else
has made jumps in our league. And if they've made
the same jump that we've had, you know, that's that
you don't know until you go play, you know, so
we'll have to see under the circumstances. You know, you
get the quarterback position really applied to get those guys
playing at a higher efficiency rate connected to the receiving core,
the ability to run the ball, and then on defense
(24:35):
get the cornerback position all settled in with our front seven.
I mean that that's a very very good team on paper,
you know, So a lot to be excited about, but
again a lot to still see how it comes together
to really understand what we're about.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
What questions do you need answered before kickoff? If any?
Speaker 4 (24:55):
Oh, well, like I just told you, we gotta we
got to figure out the corners. We got figure out offensively,
you know, the quarterback situation in terms of the connection
with the receiving cores. Uh, because one thing that for
surely you're not seeing a lot this year, what I
would see last year is a lot of timing, anticipatory
routes being connected, you know. And that's just and that's
gonna happen because you've got the receiving core still getting
(25:18):
good climate to the quarterbacks. The quarterbacks the climating to
the repceiving corps, and you just don't have, you know,
at this point, enough time to really get that refined
to the point where you're hitting those anticipatory routes, and
so that has to increase, you know, to the point
to where you could throw guys open, you can beat
the type man the man coverage which you know, red
flaugh really got good at this last year. So uh
(25:39):
and again, well we'll see and that may take into
the season, by the way, it takes us, you know,
a few weeks in the season to get to the
point where you know, we can we can have a
timing and a and a cohesiveness with the receivers and
the quarterback that's you know, that's uh, that's tight, and
that's synkeed up, you know, and uh and so those
are the big things. There are corners and just the
(25:59):
time I mean of the receivers with the quarterbacks. You know,
that's the things that have to get really really refined
before we before we know what we're about. And if
we can get those take care of him, if those
could be solid positions, then like I said, and this
team is a very well positioned to.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
Make a run be pop. Anyone stood out to you?
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Did anyone stand out to you from the preseason from
the former Cougar's balling out in the pros.
Speaker 4 (26:23):
Well, it's fun to watch Tyler Baddie out there. You know,
he's basically doing the same thing you did at the UYU.
He had a nice batted pass he got in laid
on it, I mean, they gave the sack to the
other guy, but he was right there to clean up
the sack of the fact that, you know, because sometimes
they'll share those sacks. They'll give a half sack to
one and a half. Just very subjective at times. But
you know, Baddie, I mean, he's just a guy that
(26:44):
I believe he's gonna stick around, man like, even if
he has to end up on the practice squad and
just keep biding his time and just show when you
know the lights are on. And because one thing you're
gonna get from him is you're gonna get a consistent,
intentional effort. He's going to get better. He's gonna understand
your defense so deeply with all the different layers. He's
going to understand the checks where he fins. And those guys,
(27:05):
they coaches love them because they know they can plug
and play them and then it's just a matter of
them going out and make plays. And Baddy has an
act to make plays, you know. So so he's a
guy that I'm excited about, you know. And other than that,
I really don't get a lot a lot of action
with any other any of the DYU player out there.
And it's hard to tell. You know. That's the thing too.
In the preseason, it's so watered down, you know, it's
(27:27):
hard to really understand. Like the Shador Sanders thing, everybody's
blown up. It's like, oh my gosh, it's freaking the preseason,
he did not face a defense at all remotely. Wait,
he's going to face in Week one where you have
all the different types of coverages, mixed coverages, blizz packages.
It's just gonna be like it's gonna be like playing Dyu.
(27:48):
Like you know, there's a lot going on there. And
I'm not saying I'm I don't think he's gonna play well,
because I I believe he's he's got a chance to
be this like franchise quarterback with the Browns. It's just
to say that he's gonna walk in and just light
it up like he did in the preseason game. During
the regular season, I mean, stefans give their head. Coach
(28:10):
is already saying as much, it's not likely, you know
what I mean. It's like most Ricky struggle because of that,
there's a complexity level that that he has not seen,
Like it's a Duyu in college. Is as close as
I think he should get to the pros. And I'm
not just being frank, I'm not being biased, do I
U's defense is a pro defense. There's layers to it,
there's checks, there's all sorts of moving parts that generally
(28:30):
you only see out of you know, proteins. They don't
see him out of you know, college teams and uh
and that becomes even more game plan specific when you
start to understand who your opponent is, what they're good at,
what they struggle with. And I'm gonna tell you this
right now, one thing that every team knows watching film
a store in college. He struggles with the inside pressures.
He struggles when you have to when he when he
(28:52):
gets out to the edges and he has to kind of,
you know, get off of his spot. As they say,
I don't think he's got his best and so he's
gonna get a huge toast of that until he can
prove otherwise, you know. So we'll see he didn't get
much fit in, you know, on his preseason game, but
that's because it's preseason.
