Don get a victory for Lavelle and it's gonna be fantastic.
And I want to see a cover. I want to

I think they can execute it.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
But come on out here.
Speaker 2 (00:47):

cricket by fans for fans. Come hang out with Banterer wealth,

libs and endorsements. Let's always support our sponsors so we
can continue to do what we love. I got Hank Bachmeyer,
(01:09):
the big brother of Bear and Tiger, by my side.
And Hank wasn't too bad of a football player himself
set a bar really high for his brothers, his younger
brothers like's you know, and I know Hank is very
competitive and is always probably in the air of Bear.
He already mentioned in the initial segment, He's like, I
expected perfection eleven of eleven on the attempts and completions
(01:31):
last week. And I'm sure you told him where he
should have thrown it, and you know, and why should
have thrown it at the time. But hey, that's what
big brothers are for, and that that competitive spirit in
the Bachmeyer family is something to celebrate. So we appreciate
Hank being by our side here as we get prep
get ready for the BYU Stanford game. It'll be about
(01:53):
seventy three degrees at kickoff eight fifteen pm kickoff. B
YU is a heavy favorite twenty and a half and
the over under said at forty four and a half.
ESPNFBI gives that BYU had ninety percent chance of victory.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Injury report.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
I don't know if there's another update on the injury report,
but Wayland Lapuahuteinakua both probably out Reggie for Stone in
the game time decision. I imagine Shaye Brian Strawther may
be a little bit deemed up. I don't know if
he's out. We'll see if there's a report coming out
here shortly on that that confirmation. But BYU needs to
win this game, not only for the season, but for
(02:28):
seasons to come. When you're you're battling out, you want
to get bear Bachmeer tiger Bachmeyer to your school prior
to them going to Stanford.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
You don't have to wait for him to transfer to
your school.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
You don't want to miss out on some of these
guys that are BYU fits, and you got to be
able to check tape, pull it up, make a pitch
and convince them to come to BYU from the start. Hey,
give me your thoughts on that BA was lost out
on a lot of recruits to Stanford. Right, you went
to Boise State that they've There've been some battles beween
(02:59):
be way you and Boise State recruits as well, But
how can be what you position themselves to get a
bear Bachmeyer Tiger Bachmeyer, a Hague Blachmeyer.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Coming out of high school rather than waiting for him
being a portal.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Yeah, I think, uh, I think it's a tough thing.
You know, Recruiting in general is a really.
Speaker 5 (03:15):
Tough deal, especially in today's landscape.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
I think that they do a great job with what
they do now. I'm not gonna tell them how to
do their die. Sure that my brothers are here now,
A big fan of the program, but I think it's
really important, especially like I said, in today's landscape with
the transfer portal, you're speaking to guy you know transfer
three times.
Speaker 5 (03:33):
So I mean it's it's just.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Yeah, you're at Boise State, then you went.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
To Louisiana Tech for a year, and then I finished
that wake four est.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
So I think really, just.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Like I'm in a prime example, I think the ability
to have relationships from high school and and just be
really kind on both ends as a as a player
and then as a coach and a university, it's really
important to maintain those relationships and on a good note,
don't burn a bridge on either side because guys are
unfortunately I don't know if it's unfortunate.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Or what the right word is or Uh, it's just
football is volatile. Yeah, it's very it's violent.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
Yeah, there's a.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Lot of things that go on, nuances, and you just
never know what's gonna happen.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
It's crazy now and it's a really unique opportunities and
and uh, guys can look at cam word. I mean,
guys can't really change their careers. Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts,
all these guys go do it and they change their
their lives, their careers, uh for the better and and
uh just new, you know, new new, Uh new reset.
And so I think, uh.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
It works out you know a lot of times, and
sometimes it doesn't work out. Like said, it's very volatile.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
But I think, uh, for example, by U does a
great job. At least from my experience as an outsider,
it looks like they do a great job just keeping
relationships with guys and then building those relationships early on.
Speaker 5 (04:46):
So I think you would know more than me.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
The recruiting is picking up at the high school right
like you're saying, so I think they're competing there in
the big twelve.
Speaker 5 (04:54):
Now, uh, you know, an Il I'm sure is solid.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
All that stuff, the culture, the university is such a
great fan base, great brand.
Speaker 5 (05:04):
All that stuff plays a factor and a role into
all of it.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
So yeah, and I think, you know, shout out to
the Lundberghs, John and Susie. He taught me everything I
needed to know about the Gospel, kept me on the
straight and narrow as a youth. Shout out to the
Lundbergs and big Cougar Oar. Also to Dane his son,
a big, big fan of the Lundberg family. But you
know you're going back to you know those comments that
(05:27):
you just made.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Where you lose versus Stanford is.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
When when they come hard with the academic and long
term earning potential, Right, Okay, Well, we're gonna give you
the best degree and the long term earning potential within
our network, and ba's gonna have to counter that in
order to get certain guys to b YU and the
academics at BO your phenomenal, the long term earning potential
of BU your phenomenal. But you gotta be able to
pitch that maybe that networking opportunity and even coupling NIL
(05:52):
and higher level football hopefully along the way.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
Yeah, I think the network here, just from my very
very short stint with this university, it's it's just such
a global brand.
Speaker 5 (06:03):
B Yu.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
You go anywhere and walk down the street with the
Y and you get stopped by so many different people,
uh in southern California, across the country, I'm sure across
the world ye.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
And so it's a great brand, uh, great network globally. Uh,
just like Stanford is. And and you know, I think
it's hard because you know, I think for my whole family,
Stanford was like kind of a dream school for everybody.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
And and just uh it's tough.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
I think their ability to adapt in today's landscape.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
They it's it's.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
It's just tough.
Speaker 4 (06:33):
If you see the product of the field and it's harks.
They're great people, first class people. It's just uh, it's
just tough. And then you know from my brother's like
going with uh Troy Taylor, great man. You recruit me
when he was at Utah back in the day.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Offensive.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yeah, you know you're gonna be productive, you know you're gonna.
Speaker 5 (06:49):
Be slinging it. Yeah, and uh just kind of the
vision he had.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
And then with coach Reich, who my family loves and
and just a great man, and and Andrew's a great
man as well.
Speaker 5 (06:58):
It was just tough with him coming in.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
And saying, hey, you're here for a year and that's it,
and then go on qure and then you know, there's been.
Speaker 5 (07:05):
Excess of players, and it's hard.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
It's just been really hard, especially because we are fans
of the program in the university. Like Tiger's going back,
He's gonna go get his master's in computer science after
he gets his NBA from here, and so like my
family loves at university.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
It was a really hard decision for him.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
But I just think that there's such great reasons to
come here, and I just think it really aligned with
everything that my family values and what Tighter and Bear value.
And it's just you guys, it's a great university. Like
I said, great brand, great academics. I think it's just
a really unique university institution.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
Ronnie, Yeah, what is it?
Speaker 1 (07:40):
I just want to go back to the post game
last week, one of us had asked a question, what
stands out to you Bear about what you could fix
going in next week?
Speaker 5 (07:48):
He's the first drive go score a touchdown? What does
that say about his maturity?
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Out of everything that occurred in the game, he goes
back to his first series at Lavelle Edward Stadium.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
Yeah, I think I think he just wants to be
the best that he can be, and that's being process
oriented and looking back and reviewing it objectively and saying, hey,
I miss them throws on this first drive, and I
got to be better for us to be successful against
some better teams. I have to do my job and
be the best that I can be for this university,
for my team.
Speaker 5 (08:14):
It's just you're a professional. You're a professional in today's
dan age.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
So this may sound too aggressive, but you know, it's
something that I experienced.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
You mentioned it.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
I almost want to come out and just first play
QB lead Run. It was like, put two three four
blockers in front of him and let him just get
a little, you know, a little pop and then all right, hey,
we're good. Okay, Now let's get a little screen game
going on. Get it out to Park or get it
out to Chase, get it out to Jojo, get it
out to Cody. Right then get the run game involved,
(08:47):
or the screen game, which is an extension of the
run game involved, and then he starts to loosen up
a little, get the jitters out, get the butterflies out,
and then he can get down, which we saw that
after that first drive he started to dial in, focus in,
and just not let the scenery get the best of
them with that. So, how do you feel about QB
run game to write like to start off first drive
(09:09):
just to get it out of the system.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
I think for him it's great.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
You know, I I was a different type.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Of player by you had some dual threat of buildings.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
I know, if you wanted to, I ran around a
little bit.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
But like you know, like in my thought process was
always like okay, where can I get a free access.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
Throw like what they did last game and just get
Hi an easy.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
Throw, get you on the move in the boot game
something like that.
Speaker 5 (09:29):
But yeah, I think a run for him is great.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
Like I said, a Rod is a great offensive mind.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
He's gonna put these guys.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
In great positions and and.
Speaker 5 (09:38):
Really excited to see him. I think he's really creative.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
I love the trick play stuff, so I'm always been
a fan of him calling plays and so really excited
to see what they come up.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
With this.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
If we get a nice kickoff return, you get it
around like the forty fifty. I'm going max pro play action,
double move Cody hagen On like a post, corner post
or something like that, you know, because it can be quarters.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
It'll be right.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
I mean, come on, and he just you know, drops
back seven step and just crow hops into it sixty
seventy yards. Just let him open it up, you know.
If we get to you know, around midfield, let's go, baby,
get points on the border peoples, Man of the peoples,
Love you, buddy, thanks for staying. Hey, hot dog route beer.
He's got some swag from Royal Army Brand. Shout out
to a right man of the peoples. Hey ship, what's
(10:27):
up dog? How the heck are you?
Speaker 3 (10:28):
Man?
Speaker 2 (10:29):
I'm gonna catch up with you here soon. Hey, give
me a score addiction, What do you think happens this game?
Speaker 1 (10:33):
You don't?
Speaker 3 (10:33):
You don't have to if you don't want it. He
gave a look like that.
Speaker 5 (10:37):
Oh my gosh, I'm a fan. Like I said, I'm
getting nervous for my brother. Yeah, I'm not gonna be
yu win. I'll give BYU wins two and.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
Oh baby, that's all that matters about win. Does the
winnes win? No matter how it comes, I know, how
do we get it?
Speaker 2 (10:49):
I hope the architecture sound for Bear to thrive tonight
and he makes great decisions like he did last week,
and he toats well too. We'll see some move in
the poker. We're gonna see some of that play action game.
L J are gonna be able to balance it out.
And look, you established a run game early, everything opens up.
Everything just just feels a whole lot smoother getting into second,
third quarter.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
So we'll see how it plays out.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Heank.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
We appreciate you, met, thanks for joining us, thanks for
having me. Appreciate it, and shout out to the Bachmeyer family.
Appreciate you guys. Let's take a brief break. Actually, well
it's you, our keys of the game.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
What do you think, Ronnie? I think it's very simple.
You know, Stanford is still a P four opponent. Never overlook,
the game is won and lost on the trenches. If
you want Bear to be able to feel extremely comfortable.
The boys up front got a block that did a
fantastic job. Didn't learn a lot last week, but this
is a game that jimpos you will if you want
to win the recruiting battle. I think Isaiah Jahday, Andrew Gentry,
Bruce Mitchell got it. Austin Lealusa really got to take
(11:41):
some prize. And if you're the boy defensive line, Michael
Ford's a good running back, make them one dimensional, make
Goo Branson pass because guess what when they're in third
and long, not a good football team.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
They really struggle at that.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
And then lets follow tell Tommy Gots to pen their
ears back, have that it. Let the pass rush four
or five counts on the vasa get up front so
win their first and then at that point, go play
for the ball.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
Let there be comfortable, get to get the ball to
the wide receivers.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Let him get the ball to the playmakers, Cody Hagen,
Parker Kingston, Chase Roberts. And then when he wants to
let him run because he lords showed him, a couple
of Portland State guys around him over.
Speaker 5 (12:13):
I think when you.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
Got a guy that's six to two, I don't believe
he's two twenty. I think it's two thirty five to
forty build, you know, lack of gazelle. We let the
centaur run. There's a lot of people that there's a
lot of people that texted me says, I gotta see
this sent play you guys.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
So let the centaur got run centaurs in the backfield
in LJ.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
Let the centars run on in two centers.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
You can't stop centaurs, can't stop sending run. They're mythological creatures.
Can't be stopped in the run game.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
And they got some ass according so you know what
the coach said. So let the two centaurs run. I'm
gonna go forty one thirteen BYU. That's what I'm gonna do,
su your wife. Factor of this game on offensive defense,
I think the wy factor on offense, let's start that
I think is Cody Hagen.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
I think that when you have speed, you gotta account
for that.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
If you're a defensive back on with the way they
play corners, they're gonna be looking for that on the
run games, coming off the Jets sweeps and everything. So
Cody Hagen on offense and I think defense. I'ma I'm
gonna say a guy that I think a lot of
people don't really know about just yet. I think I
fram Moscione got himself kicked out the game, but yeah,
but he's back. Respect I think that's a guy that's
gonna be fired up. And I think that's a guy
running with the twos that's gonna be stopping the run
(13:18):
for sure.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
I love both of those takes.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Keys of the game. Look for too long? Has Stanford
stolen BYU.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
Recruits for too long? Okay?
Speaker 2 (13:27):
Have they chosen these these prospects Stanford over by You
have to make a declarative statement tonight, Okay. If the
experts Vegas are saying you need to win by twenty
and a half points, yes, winning is the utmost important.
But I do and I want and I pray that
a convincing victory occurs under the lights of level. And
(13:48):
I don't know if BYU has had as deep and
as talented a team as they have tonight in twenty
twenty five, and you're healthy.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
To start the season, I mean, this is the time
when you.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Should be playing some really good football continuity, chemistry, cohesion, culture,
Like there's too much experience on this Boa football team
not to believe a Bear Bachmeyer make him a success
tonight versus Stamford. And I hope that Kilani and the
staff and Jay Hill have told a story about the
importance not only of the game, but of finishing every play, okay,
(14:21):
finishing every drive, Like you have to realize that this
is going to this is going to set up BYU
for success in the future to it to get some
of those high level recruits. Stanford has average top forty
recruiting classes over the last six years.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Last four years, right, they've been three and nine.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
So obviously there's a there's a disconnect between the talent
that they're receiving and what they're producing on the football field.
Why is that you need to be able to come
to BYU and you can get the whole package. If
you beat Stamford to night, that's two in a row
versus Stanford. You hand that mpfore that video highlight from
twenty twenty two and twenty twenty to any recruit that
(15:01):
you come in contact with, a high level three star,
four star, five star kid that's considering Stanford and you're like, look,
this is what we do this Stanford Cardinal.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
You can push them off the cliff of irrelevance. They're
in the ACC. Stanford is in the ACC.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
If I'm a coach and I'm recruiting against Stamford, I'm like, guys,
the ACC might not even exist five years down the road.
Do not hitch your your your, you're you're waggon to
that train. Do not do it. Do not hitch that
car to the train. Okay, you got to win any
I think you gotta win convincingly tonight.
Speaker 5 (15:36):
I think you will.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
I think the Y factor offensively is actually the offensive line.
Isaiah Jahda, Austin Leuso, Bruce Patchell Sonny Macassini, Kyle super Choke,
Andrew Gentry. I want to see Aaron Rodericks stuffing the
ball down that Stamford defensive front throw and that Stanford
defense front is pretty good. And if you can do
(16:00):
that with Shone with LJ, with Bear in the run game,
and you couple that with a getting horizontal with Cody
Parker on those jets, Okay, that little tornado, I mean
you gotta You're gonna You're gonna be multi directional, et cetera.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
You can win football games.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Shout out to Hak Bachmeyer, ladies and gentlemen for joining us.
I'm sure the fans are gonna want to get to
know you as well down here, so try to try
to weave through them.
Speaker 5 (16:23):
Thanks for your We'll see you brother, absolutely.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Yes, sir, I think BYU covers tonight.
Speaker 5 (16:27):
They do.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
I think BYU covers the night.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
Now, I don't know if it's gonna be as high
a scoring game. Hawaii scored what twenty three, but they
had a pretty good quarterback, they had some they had
some good.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Pass game involved.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
I feel like by you can get into the low
thirties tonight. So I'm calling thirty one to ten. Okay,
BYU on lights level? Why factors my offensive line, that group,
that cohesive, one heart, one mind, the tip of the spear,
establishing the run game so Bear can flourish in the
playoff game. Defensively, I love your pick on from Osciata. Yeah,
(17:04):
I love that pick. I think he can be very impactful.
I think being able to stop the run game is critical.
So I'm gonna look to that front seven once again,
and I'm gonna say Jack Kelly is gonna ball out
for brigas.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Hey force fumble last time, k State remember that. I
love Vigi. I never want to be disrespectful because both
guys are going to the league. Second round guys, but
you saw what seventeen did last week, didn't you?
Speaker 5 (17:29):
Mark? Let sixteen scoop and score take it. Let seventeen
force to fumble.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
Yeah, I think I think Jack has a phenomenal game tonight. Uh,
and it may be getting into the backfield when goal
Branson steps back.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
To three once ten and a half start tonight, I.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Want to see at number seventeen show out for me.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Guys. Uh. That's our why factors and our score predictions.
Give me your score prediction as well.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
