(02:34):
Good evening, everybody, and Welcometo the Creepy Parlor. I'm Genevieve
and I'm so happy to have myguest here tonight. Tonight we're featuring Bethany
Mack. I was first introduced toBeth's work back when she was on Real
Talk with Dom, which I cohost on Monday nights, and I was
just struck by how beautifully eerie herartwork is. I hope she doesn't mind

(02:55):
me saying that it's just it's soit's it's just lovely. It's this polished,
beautiful, lovely, spooky art.So, without any further delay,
I'm going to introduce everyone to Bethany. Hi Bath, Hey, good,

(03:17):
how are you complain? I'm here, So it's good time. Very excited.
Um. I hope you don't mindme calling your artwork creepy. I
mean that with the utmost respect, and it is a high compliment. That
is a compliment in my book,I'm all about everything being creepy. So
thank you for that. Well, welcome. So let's hear a little bit

(03:38):
about you. How did you startdoing this? What's your background? So
I actually started doing digital art backwhen I was in high school. I
got to join this college program andso I got a college I got a
college degree for digital art when Igraduated high school as well. Oh wow,

(04:00):
yeah, it was really cool. It's a really great opportunity. And
then I kind of fell out ofit for a while, Like I went
to an actual university for it,and I was like, man, I
really hate when people tell me whatto draw, because like everything was like
still lives and advertisements and I justwanted to draw weird things, and it

(04:21):
just didn't really mesh well, soI kind of fell in and out of
art. I never really put itdown completely, but I only really started
pursuing it as a job right beforethe pandemic hit. I quit my job,
and literally three weeks before, andI was all excited and I was

(04:45):
getting everything rolling, and I've gottenan iPad pro and I was getting myself
back into it, and then thepandemic hit and then there was there was
no jobs anywhere. So it gaveme a lot of time to make some
more prints and work on the basicsand my own stuff and learn some new
programs. And yeah, over thelast six or seven months, everything's been
picking back up and rolling, andI've been in shows and been making more

(05:11):
sales online and doing a lot morecustom work. So I can't really complain.
Very cool. I'm going to popup your Instagram right here. If
you guys can't go check out gocheck out Sister Vulture Design on Instagram and
we'll put up your Etsy in alittle bit. But I would like to
show some of your work, ifyou don't mind. I would love that

(05:33):
This guy right here, So thisI'm really excited to say. You know,
you asked me if I had somethingto talk about, and I was
like, no, but I do. I'm a silly goose and I'm so
sorry. So some people can seeus. But so that design is actually
going to be a sticker for anew magazine that's coming out called Cough It's

(05:53):
Kotch. You might actually be reallyinto this. Um it's a magazine specifically
for got for people into goth andKawaii culture. So it's a lot of
Yeah, it's really cool. Umit's on Instagram as Costs magazine, and
that's going to be the sticker thatthey're going to be featuring for the next

(06:15):
issue that comes out as my designthat you just saw. So I'm really
excited about that. Back again,a shift over. Some people can see
us. There we go. Ijust had so much fun with that.
It's just one hundred percent Skyie, twenty percent milk. I love the colors
too. Thanks. This skill isso cute's let's take it. This one's

(06:38):
really cool too. Oh yeah,I'm really excited about that. Um.
I've got a repeating pattern for fabricthat I plan on hopefully getting turned into
like fun Hawaiian shirts. But morefor people in our kind of styles.
But until then, this is goingto be a print coming out on the

(06:58):
next couple of weeks. I'm veryexcited about large eleven by seventeen. Oh
cool. So do you do Youspecialize in graphic art? Do you do
pen to paper you I mostly specializein graphic art. So I'm an artist
in a very difficult position. Actuallynot many people know this, but I

(07:20):
actually have a form of Parkinson's,so it's like the sister to it.
So with part regular Parkinson's you shakeat rest, and with mine, I
shake in use, which is worse. So it's a lot easier for me
to work digitally. But things tomedication and stuff, I do do occasional

(07:43):
painted pieces. I know you sawbefore a large wige aboard that I hand
painted, and stuff like that.Takes me a lot longer than it takes
most people because of my tremors. So I don't make a lot of physical
stuff, and I don't do customsanymore, but I will do my own
projects and then sell them, andI do acrylic, a little bit of
watercolor, and light little woodworking. There's a lot of people coming in to

(08:11):
say HI, just gonna say hito everybody. Oh, I love it.
That's my sister. Um, Juliansays, it's me the pastel pastel
Kawai sister, that's my sister.Oh man, it's such I love the
mash up of those two so much. Yeah, it's interesting how they do
mash They mesh very well. Sowell. My friend Dave a skull Pineapple

(08:31):
was cool. Oh, thank you. And Natalie oddmother very cool art.
Oh, everyone's so sweet. Well, it's great stuff. It's absolutely great
stuff. Let's say hi to RayHi Ray Hiray. I think I said
hi to and but they'll say hiagain. Um. Let's show some more

(08:54):
of your work because I just loveit so much. This one's really cool.
Well, they're all really cool.I don't want to say this one's
really cool too, but this one. Oh yeah, so those are really
cool because I actually hand screen printedthose I got. I do a little
bit of everything. Um, butI hand screen printed those and then sewed

(09:15):
them up and they're just cute littlebanners. And I'm hoping to come out
with some more of those in thefuture too. I saw that you had
that design on something else too.Yeah, I've got some hand printed patches
too. I think it looks reallycool on jackets. Yeah, a nice
black denim jacket would be really cool. Oh yeah, oh yeah, um

(09:37):
it wasn't. Oh, this one'sreally I okay, So this is what
really really stuck with me when Isaw you on Real Talk with Dom where
the tarot that you did. Thankyou. I love these. I'm definitely
hoping to make more and do awhole series of trash animal tarot. They're
they're just they're so they're spectacular.Oh, thank you so much. I'm

(10:00):
a big fan of the taro.I've got several decks myself. Do you
do you read or I taro?I find it's one of those things where
you're like you you get one deckand it leads to more and more and
more, and sometimes you don't evenbother to learn them. Yeah. I
think my biggest problem is that it'sseventy two cards in most decks that you

(10:22):
have to kind of memorize and knowthe whole story of and like that whole
part of my brain is still fullof Pokemon. There's just there's no space
for it. So, I mean, if I can't move out of the
way, I'm hoping so man, because it's been like twelve years of that
real estate being taken up and it'sneeded. I don't need Pokemon anymore.
That can just go away now.I find that too. Was listening to,

(10:45):
like, like when I'm in thegrocery store and I hear this random
song, I'm like, how doI still know the lyrics to this song?
Every lyric, every b Yeah, yeah, makes no sense. It's
taking up space for tarom love thetarot pick. So so this one is
my other well, I'm gonna saythat one of my favorites, but this

(11:07):
one is another one that stuff withme too, because I put this in
the video that the commercial. Yousaid this to me earlier. Oh yeah,
I love that one. It feelsit feels very like high school hot
topic for me. I can seethat. I can see that, but

(11:28):
it's just it's so pretty and it'strue why I look for the light when
the dark is so comforting. It'swhere we all begin, it's where we
all end, and some of usnever really leave. Yeah. Oh yeah,
I'm all irked because it's still daylightover here, like the sun's coming
in and I'm like, oh yeah, every every morning, I've got this

(11:48):
blackout curtains, so I just it'slike I'm coming out of a dark cave
in the morning. Then everything elsein my apartment is lit and I'm just
hissing in the corner. It's aproblem. M definitely goth problems. Let's
see what else we got. Idon't want to get too much into I
don't want to get like, well, let's do your art first, then

(12:09):
we'll talk to me ghosts later. That sounds good. Sounds good. I've
got plenty of ghost stories. Ilove this one. This was one of
my first digital pieces with my iPadpro actually, and I love it because
it doesn't look digital at all.It doesn't. It looks just like I
did it with pen and ink, which was one of my favorite mediums for

(12:31):
a long time. But yeah,I always had this image in my head
of just a bird hanging by itsfeet like that, and I can never
find an image for it. Sothat's how a lot of my art happens.
I'm like, I want to putthis up in my house. Why
can't I find this art anywhere? So I just make it happen. But
this was definitely one of those, and I just love how simplistic it is
so before we show off some moreart, I'm going to stick up your

(12:54):
Etsy page two. So are allof these things available on Etsy? Yep?
Everything everything except for the first stickerdesign that'll only be available through cost
Magazine. Gotcha. So for thoseof you who are just listening, it's
Etsy dot com slash shop slash sisterVulture Design. You can check out all

(13:15):
of Bethany's stuff there and do yousell the actual do you sell different size
prints there? Yeah, most ofthem come in one size, but almost
everything's under twenty bucks. Like,I try to make everything as affordable and
easy to attain as possible. I'vealways hated like I've always been in situations
where my financials are kind of ebbingand flowing, and I always seem to

(13:39):
find really cool art when it wasdefinitely and I feel like that happens to
a lot of people. So Itry to make everything is easy to attain
as possible for everyone. I'm sureit's appreciated. Julian. Julian's as trash
Animal taro Ysompia I Can Get Downwith a Raccoon came on our from ports

(14:03):
once two years ago and I stillwatch the video that's su tu she does
she does. Davi says, well, love the tarot picks. They're really
I mean, they're they're they're Ifind it with a lot of taro too.
I find myself like drawn to theactual art and I want to sort
of display them somehow, but Ifeel weird you have little tiny cards.

(14:24):
These are. Yeah. I amhoping to eventually have a full deck and
get it actually made. That'll probablybe in several years and I'll have to
do it with a kickstarter, solet's hope that works out. But yeah,
no, I like just having thebig cards on my wall. Usually
I could only find like a bigtapestry mass made off of wish for for

(14:46):
twelve dollars. It's probably super flammableso or asbestos. We're not sure.
Oh yeah, oh probably both flammableand asbestos just spreads more asbesto while it's
on fire. Yeah, it's aweird, weird situation that stuff. But
yeah, I don't often see largeprints like that that. Lets let's look

(15:13):
at that one again. They justmake me so happy. Me too,
and I think, um, theHigh Priestess is of course one of my
favorites, and the hermit is alsothe major arcana is all just good stuff.
Yeah. Yeah, I've definitely gotan idea for the Hangedman to do
something similar to the Crow, butyou know, more alive because the Hangman

(15:35):
wasn't dead. But yeah, there'sso many trash animals. I'm so excited.
That is cool. My friend Aprilsays your work is lovely. I
will back your Kickstarter. Oh,April, you're the best. There's a
corn hustall there is. I dohave a corn Hustle image. I did

(15:56):
that one about the same time asthe Hanging Crow, so it looks very
similar to those. I'm gonna haveto look at that. Is that that's
not one of the ones that yousent, is it? I don't think
it is, no, but itis on my ac and my Instagram.
We'll have to look at that one. Hi. Frank Prance with us on
Psychomantium thirteen. Um, yeah, yeah, that's the whole page that we

(16:18):
have a whole, separate, whole, big group on Psychomantium thirteen that are
with us tonight. Oh that's socool. High Right now we're on w
LFE, dB, Psychomantium and PBDCTVas well, so all all different locations.
Let's see what have we got let'sgo to the next one. Yeah,

(16:47):
up, so it did run thewarning. We can use explicit language
if you feel like it. Okay, I'm super great because it's gonna slip
out. Yeah, the I Ireally love spooky things, but I also
I really love Sailor Moon. Ifeel like a lot of us are like
that. It was just so silly. Um. But yeah, I designed

(17:10):
this Sailor Moon knife because I don'tknow, I've always wanted that. So
I and I want a real one, like I want to be like I'm
a cooler Sailor Moon, you know, and cut people. But you know,
no, not here, no,no officer never said that I need

(17:30):
a warrant. Uh. Dominic seriesis high. Hey, Dominic, it's
been so long, um, andJill sending me things to my messenger now,
so that's good. That's good stuff. Oh and now, Frank,
yes on PBDC TV. So forthe longest time, I could not say

(17:52):
PBDC TV, and I still tripup when saying it because they all like
flow together. So if I tripup and say PBDCTV incorrectly, just know
that I'm doing my best. Thisis this is again my sister umph.
So one of the things that youshould know with being on the Creepy Parlor

(18:15):
is that you are now absorbed intoour friend's circle and you there so Um.
Jillian says, why do you alwayshave my new best friends on your
show? Oh my god, getat me, we'll chat. I love
this. I'm always down to makenew best friends. And Frank says that
he's the biggest dragon Ball fan.Oh my god, I really want to

(18:37):
do something based on one of theoriginal dragon Ball images or characters or something
like that, like do a gothsdoubt, you know, lunch or something.
Thank you so much. I'm alittle I'm a little above that age
range, so I miss a lotof those references. I was not around
when the first like series of dragonBall came out either, I promise,

(19:00):
which is it's like super cute, like it's Goku when he's a little kid,
but he's got a monkey tale.He apparently lost his monkey tale in
the later series, which I thinkis pretty freak and boring. Um,
but yeah, just him being alittle kid and being like, why is
this girl trying to kiss me?I don't understand girls, and turning into
a giant monkey when there's the Moonshow the moon is full or something like

(19:22):
that, Like it's really fun. It's really fun. I'm sure it is
fun, but I'm so like Imiss like the old Pokemon all that stuff.
Like I'm just I'm just too old. I miss that whole. No,
you're really lucky. You're really luckyhave more time for other things that
are important. So if Frank sayshe's old, um he's not as old

(19:45):
as me, So that's cool.I'm seven hundred and thirty five, so
feels that's what my knees feel like. Oh I love ez. These are
so much fun. So this isa sad. I was gonna say,
this is set, Okay, cool, it's great. Minds they think like,

(20:06):
um, yeah, it's it's aset and only sells as a set
because you know, the one risksays, uh, fuck your fate and
the next one says, make yourown. Um. But yeah, I
just really love the colors of this. It feels so bold and alive.
It does especially and that that's Ithink. Another thing that I that I
loved about that really caught my eyeabout your work is that the colors are

(20:27):
like they're the colors are still alive, and the content is it's like you
look at something and you're like,oh, that's still pretty. Oh that's
a little creepy, And that's totallymy aesthetic I had as a compliment I
a lot of my child because Iget asked about that a lot, like
why I'm doing such creepy content withsuch bright colors so often? And a

(20:52):
lot of my time growing up wason a farm in the middle of nowhere,
and it was very like new tome earn you. You know,
it's not not to say anything aboutabout anybody in the country, but where
I was it was it was veryupsetting, and there's a lot of creepy
things happening all the time. Like, um, we had a creek that
I used to walk in all thetime as a kid, and after a

(21:15):
heavy rain, there'd just be moretombstones in my creek because there was a
very old cemetery upstream, and everytime it rained too heavily, it was
too close to the water and itjust washed the tombstones right in there.
So I'd be running around as akid looking for crawfish and picking berries around
tombstones. So like it was myfavorite story. Now it's funny because like

(21:41):
growing up, it was just normal. I thought everybody's creek at it,
and then I'm like an adult andI'm at somebody else's creek and I'm like,
where's all the tombstones? Why?Why isn't You're like, and then
everybody's right. We love we lovecreepy content. We absolutely been my entire
life. So you can found agold mine. Yeah, and I think

(22:06):
that that, um, that isdefinitely something that really like draws me into
your work too. I mean,it's it's it's it's beautiful. I'll say
a thousand you for the next hour. Um, I'm gonna be so confident
after this. You absolutely should beso. Um. While we're talking about
how confident you're going to be afterwards, everyone please go check out Bethshop on

(22:29):
Etsy dot com, slash Shop, slash Sister Vulture design um for those of
you who are not watching and canonly hear us, And if anybody makes
an order over the next like fourweeks, I'll throw in an extra free
print of my choice. Oh cool, I got you up. Um,

(22:52):
there we go, because you can. Do you have all that connected to
your Instagram? Yes, yep,I've got the link right there too,
so I try to accessible. It'shard, especially when you're running your own
business and trying to yeah, andtrying to be everywhere at once, Like,
oh, it's rough, but youknow, it's better to work for
yourself sometimes, I think sometimes sometimes, yeah, I keep telling myself that,

(23:22):
Well, it's hard, and I'msure with the current situation, things
have gotten a little bit wild withno shows and conventions and things while being
suspended for a while. Yeah, that's definitely, I know. I know
a lot of artists are having areally hard time with that right now.
It's it seems like there's a lotcoming up online trying to do it,
and a lot more things are openingup in a lot more areas. But

(23:44):
it's it's definitely going to be shakyfor a while for a lot of creatives
right now, and every part ofbeing creative. I know. One of
the things that one of the thingsthat's driving me crazy is that there's been
no live music. Yeah, yeah, I hate it. It's the worst
part. I want to feel myribs vibrating, but I wanted to death
for a day, yeah, likeno hearing and all that ringing in my

(24:07):
ears for a day exactly. Yeah. I never thought i'd miss being around
too many sweaty people. I reallymissed it. Yeah, also thinking about
how gross that was in hindsight. Now I'm still going to jump in the
middle of a mosh pit if therewas one right now, I would.
But still it's like a it's alittle a little weirder now I think,

(24:29):
just like, oh, germs.I didn't think about germs before I did
because I'm like that. But um, let's take a look at this piece
too. This one's really cool.I love that one so much. I
actually, oh, I'm sorry,no, good good. Um. I
actually drew that back when my grandparentsdied. Originally I did a watercolor painting

(24:52):
of it a lot smaller, anduh, yeah, I just I don't
know. That one always kind ofhit. It's me different just because I
think about my grandparents with that onea lot. It's a beautiful tribute.
Thanks. I really hope that they'dthink that too. I'm sure they do.
Because we only have five minutes toour breaks. I want to get

(25:15):
through your art and then we'll talkcreepy stuff after. So this one is
really cool. Um. I dida drawing prompt thing for October and this
one was poison hence the hemlock andapple te and it's the apple seeds,
you know, which make arsenic ifyou have enough, and then hemlock is
highly poisonous. So you know, only one couple, do you? I

(25:37):
feel like it's kind of niche, but but it's so cheery, like one
couple, do you? Yeah, what's it gonna do? I wanted to
feel like it could have been upin a diner, you know, like
it was an actual option. Yep, you got Teddy here, Hi,
Teddy, Hey, Tad, let'ssee we have another piece. I think

(26:03):
that this is the last one thatwe actually have, which is adorable.
Oh, this one was so muchfun. This this was another prompt that
turned into a full blown piece. You know a lot of those prompts that
month that you were supposed to spendlike, you know, an hour on
it and just two sketches, andI just get so into the idea that
I turned into a full blown print. But I just like this idea of

(26:26):
them being like a little test subjectwho gets out kind of like a you
know, what what is that book? Like Watership Down? That's the one
down? Yeah. I kind ofthought like what if what if it was
you know, a hairless cat thatwas in that and hence he's got my
the X symbol that I use withthe little number there. I don't know.
I just think he's cute and helooks like he's going to go on
an adventure. He does. Helooks very excited or nervous or think anxiety

(26:52):
is in there a lot some ofmine might have leaked into him. But
um, right, says Beth.Method message me later. We can set
up more time if you want towith with interviews. I would love that.
I'd be super into it. Verycool. Um, Karen says,
I love that one. Oh thankyou. I love them all. Um,

(27:18):
I think I love all of you. Just be a creepy parlor of
love tonight. It's so great,it is. It is fun. Um.
So we're gonna just gonta take aquick break and then we'll get into
some like really creepy stuff when weget back. How does that sound?
I love it? Excellent, excellent. We will be right back. M

bit is fantastic. Um she seemsup. She is she is. Um.
So Uh, back to the creepystuff. So I think I told
you that I run a ghost tourcompany. So I'm really really interested in

(33:08):
hearing any ghost stories that you have. I have so many, I don't
know if we have enough time forall of them. So, like I
was saying, I grew up inthe country and we moved to the small
goat town when I was about ten, and the house that we got it
was, god, it was littlemore than a shack. It really was.

(33:28):
It was like a trailer with additions. Not good words. Don't buy
that house, just don't do it. But it was on like seven acres
on the middle of nowhere, andthere used to be apparently a very small
town right where my house was,or right right around it. And there
was a gazebo in what was consideredour front yard and so which we turned

(33:50):
into our garden. So when wewere telling up all that area, we'd
define like all these old coins andold pictures and stuff in the dirt you
could barely see what it was alot of history to it. And at
the time I hadn't seen anything.I didn't think about ghosts or anything at
all. But for some reason movingthere. I don't know if there was

(34:12):
more there than where I'd lived inCorning before or if because it seems like
some people just kind of you know, especially women, We had a certain
age and that's when we started seeingthings that are more receptive. And I
don't know what tripped it, butthe first night we were there. I
was about ten or eleven, andmy parents had to go into town and

(34:35):
that went mento forty forty minute driveone way, and yeah, it was
so far. I hated it,but I was so tired from them all
day move and they were like, you know, do you want to go
with us or stay here? AndI was like, I'll stay here.
I had my game Boy. Ididn't care. So I just sat in
this chair in the living room andstarted to play my game boy. And

(34:57):
I promise I did not fall asleep. I have no other explanation for this,
but I was sitting there and Iheard a noise and the chair was
sitting because you know, we justmoved everything in nothing's where it should be.
The chair I was sitting in wasfacing the front door, and there
was only one window at the frontdoor, and it was this small little
window, and I saw a man'sface in it, and he was staring

(35:22):
at me, and he looked verylike fred as Stare kind of time.
He had the hat on and youcould see like the collar and the little
bit of where the tie was,and he just looked so angry, and
he was just staring at me throughthe window and I'm I'm ted Or Levin,
and I have no adult near me, and I think this is a

(35:43):
real man in front of the window, just staring at me. And it's
like eleven o'clock at night. There'sno phone set up, there's there's just
lights. There's not even sound nothing. So, oh, somebody just saw
my detective popcorn. Sorry, Ilove to detect a popcorn too. Um,

(36:04):
that put a stuff on the story. I'm sorry. So I my
parents were gone for about two hoursbecause they had to go I think it
was like to all night Walmart orsomething like that. And they finally get
back, but I didn't even hearthem pull up. I just for hours.
I'm just staring at this angry manthrough the window like I was Petri

(36:24):
the entire time. My game boydied in my hands because I couldn't play
it. I was too afraid toeven look down to turn it off.
I was terrified. I was like, this man's going to come in and
murder me. My mom watched TrueCrime all the time. I knew what
was in store, so it's veryupset. And then all of a sudden,
he just turns his head and walks. But here's the problem. Where

(36:45):
he walked was a freaking wall. There was there was nothing there, like
the porch ended to the side ofthe window that he walked in. And
I'm like losing my mind. Andmy parents come home and I'm like,
Mom, did you see somebody onthe porch? She's like what, No,
And I was like, you didn'tYou didn't see anyone on the porch.

(37:06):
Now my mom's a little worried andshe's like, are you okay?
And I'm thinking, I'm insane.If I keep asking questions, They're going
to just take me to the hospital. I'm gonna be in a white coat
and pills for the rest of mylife. I thought I was going insane.
And I kept seeing the man theentire time I lived there, and
he came inside the house after that. I don't know why he didn't before,

(37:29):
but now after that he was insidemy house. And we had this
hallway that went restroom and I'd haveto go pee, and it didn't matter
what time a day, night itwas. He just randomly be in the
hallway with his arms up like hewas blocking the way, and he just
looked so angry and I and Igot to the point where I just I
wouldn't even look. When I wentdown the hallway, I had closed my

(37:50):
eyes and I just run down it. I knew about how many steps after
I didn't open my eyes fast enough. A few times. Yeah, up
until I was like sixteen seventeen,I just closed my eyes and run down
this hallway because I'd see him andhe'd be there. And I remember too
that night something else happened. Thefirst night that we were there, we
just had my bed set up andwe didn't We had two cats. That

(38:13):
was it, And so I wentto my bed. I'm officially freaked out
my mom. I'm thinking, I'mgonna, you know, be on med
suit and insane. Get all thelights turned off, lay down in bed,
and a dog walks in my room. We don't own a dog.
There was no dog, but adog is walking in my room. And
I hear his collar with the littleclinky bits, and I hear the nails

(38:37):
on the hard wood, and hejumps up on the bed, and my
bed is moving with the dog pantinglike I can't make the shit up,
Like the whole bed was moving. It was I'm thinking, I'm going insane.
There's no other explanation. I'm insaneand the dog for it was ten

(38:57):
or eleven. Wow. Yeah,Like my mom never talked about ghosts or
anything like that. She watched truecrime all the time, but you know
when those nobody comes back to life. Yeah. So it was just like
I really thought I was going crazy. And the dog would jump on my
bed every night until we actually gota dog, and then it stopped,

(39:20):
and that dog every night slept onmy bed. She was a colleague.
And the only thing I've ever beenable to think is that the dog,
the ghost dog or whatever it was, was trying to protect me from the
man in the hallway. That's theonly thing that's ever really made sense,
because the dog never it scared methe first night, but after that it
started feeling We're like, okay, well at least the dog isn't angry.

(39:42):
Yeah, he just makes my bedshake a bunch. But yeah, it
was just it was nuts and Ihad to deal with that for a long
time. And I was about seventeen, I think, finally, So multiple
years of those guys and running andthinking I'm insane and not saying anything,

(40:04):
and that's when my mom finally broachedthe subject. And I hadn't that there
was about a week that had goneby where I stopped running down the hallway,
I stopped seeing him, and thatwas that was rare. I'd never
go more than a day without seeingthe man in the hallway. And my
mom came to me and she waslike, so, um, you haven't
been running down the hallway? Whywhy not? And I'm like, she's

(40:30):
gonna put me in a white coat. I can't fucking tell her. So
I'm like dancing around the subject. And finally she's like, can you did
you see the man? Did yousee the man in the hallway? And
I'm like what? And that's whenI found out, like, oh my
god, and my mom has seenhim in this entire time. She didn't
think and see him. She didn'tknow that he was going in the hallway.

(40:50):
She kept seeing him outside the property. And the reason he stopped coming
the hallway was because he did somethingto piss my mom off. I don't
remember now, and she is essentiallycleanse the house and got rid of everything
and blocked him from coming inside. So for years I was terrified my mom
was seeing all the same bullshit thatI was. Thank you, Mom,

(41:13):
but yeah, there was, It'sjust there was a lot of that going
on. I'm trying to think.I know, I've got more of that's
happened. Oh just look on thatnote, Like, Um, before before
this all started happening, did youbelieve in ghosts? Did you have an
opinion was this? Like the mostI knew about ghosts was maybe from cartoons,

(41:34):
Like I thought it was just that, like just I didn't think it
was anything that anybody believed in orthat could actually happen before any of this
happened. And it wasn't until mymom and I talked about it that I
was like, oh, it's aghost, Like I didn't have any frame
of reference for what any of uscould have been for a long time.
Wow, So, um, didyou ever find out any history of the

(41:59):
how or anything that may had explainedIt was the only thing we can think
because the time period that his clotheswere in was about the same time period
that there was a gazebo and therewas a game, and the gazebo was
used for gambling in the summers. So the most we can maybe assume is
maybe somebody died from cheating gambling orsomething on the property. You know,

(42:23):
we never really found out though,Huh. Oh, yeah, maybe the
way that property was. Oh thedog though, I forgot about that,
the dog that was jumping on mybed. A couple weeks into living on
this property, I brought up tomy mom if the previous because they had
talked to the previous owners. Iwas a kid. I didn't get to

(42:45):
talk to him, and they hadmentioned that they had a black, shaggy
dog that would always sleep in thedaughter's room, which was my room.
And I went out and I foundwhere they had buried him. His name
was Lester and his dog collar wasstill on his little like marker and everything.
Yeah, I've seen most of whatI've seen throughout my life has been

(43:10):
like animal spirits. And I wouldmuch rather see animal spirits than people spirits
because they're the wild cards. Idon't like them, that is true.
Wow, that that like got meall chills. And so do you think

(43:31):
that, Um, so your momsaw the ghost? You saw the ghost?
Do you have any siblings? Ihave an older brother, but he's
twelve years older than me, andso when we had moved there, he
was already like out of the houseand doing his own thing. I know
he had seen some stuff when hewas like about fifteen sixteen, there was

(43:51):
a situation where his friends were like, let's go to the cemetery with Luigi
board, because that's you know whatyou do in the nineties when you're bored.
Going back a little bits comment righthere, m hmm, where is
it? I would love to spendthe night in a graveyard with Jennet,
even Jillian, we are down,we are up. You will absolutely do
that. Just don't bring a weigiboard. Man, it opens more doors.

(44:19):
I those cats are always always jerks. I haven't had that experience. Actually,
I've been really lucky with the likeone or two that I've seen.
Sea a story. Oh yeah,so um yeah, my brother's friends wanted
to go play with a wig boardin the cemetery, like really late at
night. I guess he didn't wantto. He wasn't like, you know,

(44:42):
uh, scared or anything. Hewas just like, ah, that
sounds dumb. But he went along. There was some cute girl he wanted
to talk to. And every timeso he wasn't using the Weigi board,
but he was walking around the cemeteryand around what they were doing, and
every time he out within ten feetof them, the planchet would move and

(45:04):
his friends were freaking out and hedidn't know why, and they were friendly.
Gary walked all the way over here, and he came all the way
over and it started like moving onthe board, apparently with no one touching
it. I wasn't there. Thisis just what I've been told. Believe
what you believe. Everyone's got thatwegiboard story exactly. Yeah, my mom's
got one. Apparently somebody gave herone and she didn't think it would work.

(45:27):
She was also like seventeen, andshe said that she used it by
herself, got freaked out. Shewouldn't tell me exactly what happened, but
she threw it away in the garbage, and she woke up the next morning
and it was apparently in her bedroom, and then she tried sitting it on
fire that night and leaving outside inthe dumpster, and she woke up the

(45:49):
next day to it on her kitchentable without a burn mark on it.
So again I wasn't there. GrainAsSalt but not cool, yeah, really
cool, whichever you. She wouldnot let me have one in the house,
which is probably why I make them. Now why that's yeah, I
meant to mention that, um,because you make use The Luigi boards that

(46:10):
you make are really cool too.Do oh thank you? Do you have
any pictures of those around that?Um? I do? In yeah,
I do have someone on my Instagram. Do you want me to send you
a link? No, don't worryabout it. We'll just want to direct
everybody to your instagrams that they cango see that. Because the one that
you had that was on Dom's showwas gorgeous. It was the big thank

(46:31):
you. It was like pink andblue and skeleton hands and everything. I
really need to make another. Soexcited I actually, um, you know,
I'll show you a part of itright now. I'm working on a
giant Um it looks. It looksvery white right now because it needs I've

(46:51):
been sanding it. But it's goingto be a huge lazy susanow for like
on a table. But after thisgets done, I'm definitely doing another weegiboard.
That's so cool and I love Butthat's another thing that I love to
like. You have this. Youhave a nice table setting with a lazy
susan. Oh it's got a skullon it. Oh it's weird. You

(47:15):
take the pickles off event and it'slike, oh, it's spooky. Yes,
everything, Everything should be a touchspooky, if not more, and
everything can definitely take a bit morespook, absolutely, I think so.
Um, we are almost at atime. So if you got like twenteen
minutes, I know it's terrible. What do you have coming up? Do

(47:38):
you have anything that you want totalk about? Well, I'm going to
be uh. You know, mystickers are going to be in that cos
magazine, and as far as Iknow, I should be getting a feature
in either this upcoming one or theone after. I'm not positive, but
more of my art should be availableand that soon. Um. Other than

(47:58):
that, no, I've got ashow and no member, which is not
for anything remotely spooky. Unfortunately, there's a huh you can bring this spooky
with you. I'm gonna have toUh it's for a for a what is
it called charity fund that's going onfor animals. So actually I do do

(48:20):
animal portraits on the side, it'sit's more of the bread and butter kind
of thing. Um. Yeah,So I mean, I'd love if anybody
wants me to do an animal portrait, but spooky, I'm down for that,
but that keeps not happening. ButI'm gonna be putting one of my
animal portraits up in there for itto help get money for for local pets

(48:42):
and need um. But yeah, that's about it for the moment. Everything
else has been you know, kindof maybe it's happening. Maybe it's not
just because of the current climate.Yeah, it's it's it's a little it's
a little crazy right now. ButI to level out a little bit,

(49:04):
um, just real real quick onyour lazy Susan. Julian says that,
um, she lets the Lazy Susanfor her dining room table, and it'll
take it'll take sharkuterie to a wholenew level. Oh my god, that
would be great for it. Ohman, it's like you could you could
reassemble the animal face and then justeat it and then boom at the end,
you've got the skull that might haveyou seen those m I've seen them

(49:30):
all the time, like around Halloweentime where people take like a Halloween skeleton
and they put all of the sausageand cheese and stuff inside so that it
like looks I'm into that. Yeah, it's it's awesome. I would absolutely
eat that. It doesn't have tobe Halloween time for it. Either every

(49:52):
day is Halloween every day if youplay it right right, m hey,
dressed for the job, you wantexactly much time, Halloween girl, that's
exactly just fake it till you makeit exactly how Patricia says. Um,
if you can see that comment, she likes, oh, thank you.

(50:15):
And I'm not sure if you sawRobin Jones comment. Um, they posted
that up a little bit earlier.Such an amazing artist. You're also sweet.

too, so that everyone has that. Thank you so much. You're welcome.
UM. Any other you have anyany other quick ghost stories for me?
Um? Okay, So I starteddating this guy when I was like
nineteen twenty and he lived out inan other It was small town, but

(51:00):
not quite as small as where Icome from. And he was living in
his mom's basement, so a catch, and I I spent the night quite
a bit. And you know, his mom had a cat or two,
so I didn't think much of it. I just assumed I didn't meet all
the cats or when was indoor outdooror something. He'd get up out for

(51:23):
work at like three to four inthe morning and leave, and he'd open
up the upstairs door, and thenabout five minutes later, I'd hear a
cat padding down the stairs and I'dbe like half asleep, you know,
trying to get back to sleep, and the cat would jump up on the
bed and I could always just seewith the door light open that it was

(51:43):
like a kind of tortoise shell lookingcat. And yeah, that happened for
weeks, you know, anytime I'dspend the night, he'd leave for work
and this gallop coming on the bedand it'd like lay against my legs and
purn. It was really sweet, and I'd go back to sleep to that
thought a little of the cats. And finally this one day, everybody was

(52:04):
home and I was like, oh, yeah, what's the tortoise shell cat's
name? Like I see it allthe time, and they were like what
what what? What? Like hismom was His mom was especially upset,
and she's like, the what colorcat? Like? The tortoise shell cat?
Like like browns and blacks, likeshe's she's really sweet, and she's
like, how do you know it'sa female? And I was like,

(52:25):
I don't know, man, I'mjust guessing it's a tortoise shell cat.
What's the tortoise shell cat's name?Come to find out that was his mother's
cat, who had passed away aboutthree years prior. Like, I'd never
even heard of the name. Therewere no pictures up anywhere, but she
she went and found a book ofphotos and pulled it out and that was
the freaking cat. And uh,it was It was really crazy. It

(52:51):
was really cool though. He's oneof the few times where, you know,
I saw something like that and somebodythere knew the animal, and I
got to you know, she wasjust very happy that her cat was still
there and seemed happy, you know. So that was actually that was one
of the few times a seeing ghostkind of worked out. That's got to
be so rewarding too. You gavesomebody the validation that an animal that they

(53:14):
loved is still there, yeah, and still loved them back, like that
cat didn't leave anywhere. It wasreally sweet. I can't handle it.
We got three cats and two dogsliving here. So, oh my god,
pats are just the best, Iswear. I think that's what we
all hope for, is that ourpet knows that we love them enough that

(53:37):
you know, they would want tostill be with us. Kind of a
thing. I'm looking at him rightnow, and mine. I got a
black cat right now. No one'ssurprised, and I have no idea where
he is. I'm sure he's justsleeping and being lazy somewhere. We've got
um. We have one of ourcats as a mostly black tuxedo and his

(54:00):
name is Pugsy, and I'm sureI can hear him scratching in the corner.
He's going to do something bad anysecond. Now. That's such a
cute name too. He's really cute, but he's he's the devil, most
of them are. That's why welike cats, though, because they are
kind of awful in their own adorableway either cute. Um, So definitely

(54:22):
