us. My guest tonight is oneof my very favorite musicians, and I'm
truly honored that he agreed to beon the show tonight, especially considering that
it's going to be my last showfor a little while. So we're really
going out with a nice bang.So without any further delay, I'm gonna

(02:20):
welcome Andy Dean and he can doa little introduction of himself. Welcome Andy,
Hey, Hey, thank you somuch for being here, Thanks for
having me. This is awesome.Um. So I forgot to mention that
we do we will be able topull up comments too. So once we

(02:40):
got Jillian watching so far she's screamingHi Patricia, We've got Robin Jane watching,
So welcome everybody, Welcome to theCreepy Parlor. So excited for tonight.
So um real quick. I actuallyfirst heard your music as the Rain

(03:04):
within Um at the V and Bshows when you were tourning with V and
Yeah, and was absolutely blown away. Thank you. And one of the
things that I love about it somuch is that I'm like an eighties nineties
goth chick, so you've got thatnice nostalgia from that time period, I
think, but it's all new stuffand it's fantastic. Yeah we say that,

(03:28):
like, you know, some ofmy music heads over into like synthway
territory, and uh, I thinkthat a lot of times with a lot
of this like the resurgence of Sithwayand something it's like everybody wants eighties music
again, but with more low endyes, like you know, with like
modern recordings and uh and uh yeah, it's it's a lot of fun to

(03:50):
write that stuffing some things I grewup with. I grew up listening to
Duran, Duran, depeche Mode andall that, you know, all the
good stuff. Duran Duran was likemy gateway. Yeah, all right,
Oh, Jillian's gonna be a punkshe's can you please sing me some silence?
EPA. See. I have tosay that is one of my favorites,

(04:12):
partly because I live like a blockfrom the beach, so that is
Yeah, that is a good one. I freaking love the ocean on my
um. Actually have a like aversion of that song my patrion. That's
that's just me and the vocoder, which is really fun to do. And
I'm thinking about breaking that out.It shows at some point, just doing
it in that fashion, doing itreally slow and quiet and and um.

(04:36):
And I also plan on re recordingthat song at some point, which some
people will love and some won't.You know, you get used to like
the original version, but I've gottenjust time, you get better at recording
and techniques and everything like that.I've got a much better, like better
vocoder now, and so I wantto do a rerecording of the song because

(04:59):
I love it too, but I'dlove to update it, and it'd be
saying tempo, same format, butthe sounds would be a little different,
because that would be amazing visors somebodytry it, and you know, people
can love it or hate it,because I know that for me, sometimes
I get you know, I getmarried to the original, no matter how
good. The thing you know thatcomes along later is you still love the

(05:23):
original. But yes, a nostalgiaexactly exactly everybody loves everybody's first album and
then everything else is craft you know. Yeah, um you mentioned Patreon.
Um. Well, actually, beforewe get into all that stuff, do
you want to tell everybody a littlebit about your background? And because you
got a you got a long background. Yeah, I mean I started playing,

(05:47):
uh, I mean started bands inhigh school, my first hoarding bands,
Belle Morte, and we got onthe road in the late nineties,
very late, and he's like ninetynine. I think I think two thousand
was like our first war with theCrew Shadows and uh, and we you
know, we're still going we're likedefinitely in a holding pattern right now,
like you know with COVID and everything. We got one new song out last

(06:11):
year called Runaway, and it wenton the Electronic Saviors compilation, so we
just like the charity and uh,but I've been a horror fan since since
I was like a little kid, like since I was a really little kid,
and that's that's been the one constantthrough my whole life, regardless of
what I'm listening to, what I'mdoing, Like, horror movies have always

(06:31):
been my like my first love. And uhetting music like you know, with
writing with a band or a groupof people, like you know, you
wait for those people to get theirparts done something like that. And I
think I started to ring within kindof because first off, you know,
the music I was writing didn't necessarilyI didn't want to like screw up what

(06:57):
Bella was doing by turning us intolike this eighty tent wave band androm It's
not what we were. Yeah, writing on my own, and I realized,
oh my god, I can writeso fast if i'm you know,
I'm just about myself, and thenI could get all this other material out
and not mess up this other projectand now you know, after the rain
took off quick and like, andI've done great with that. And because

(07:23):
I write songs so often and soquickly, that's what got me back,
like got me into Patrion just kindof a so every month of my life
now, and I've been doing thisfor over three years, but every month
of my life, I write, record, mix, and master two new
songs. And that's on top oflike what I'm writing for my albums.

(07:46):
That's so that's life now. It'slike a lot of freaking songwriting. Oh,
just we're gonna get to the horrorand a little bit. Don't worry.
UM, I just have to sayhi to my mom, Hi mom.
Um. So Patreon, I thinkthat, uh we've you know,
we've mentioned that just a few times, but um, I always say jokingly,

(08:09):
but honestly, Patreon is the bestmoney I spend every month. It's
absolutely the best investment I've made.Happy. I definitely go that extra mile,
like you know, it's it's obvious. Um. And just so you
guys know, the Patreon Andy's Patreonwebsite is running along the bottom. Um.

(08:31):
You can sign up for as littleas two dollars a month. Yeah,
and then for the two dollars amonth, and you sign up for
the dollar category because the two songsof two dollars, So it's like twenty
four bucks a year and you gettwenty four songs and I give aways a
briefing. Yeah, you get alot more than that too. I mean,
I think that one of the greatestthings about supporting an artist on Patreon

(08:52):
is that you get to see abit into that creative process. It's funny,
but I feel so much um,like my post on Patreton, I
feel so much more open there. It's like it's like talking the family or
something, because everybody's so engaged,so personal long patret. Then I would

(09:13):
be on like Facebook, which isis kind of funny. Yeah, well,
you know, everybody's there for thefor the same reason, right,
We're all there because we support themusic, we want to see, we
want to hear more music, andit's just such a great environment. It's
a lot of fun and and it'skind of like it's finding those people that
are really like hard hardcore into whatyou're doing, you know, like us.

(09:39):
It's kind of like I always feellike you know, with any band,
at any point, like there's gonnabe a huge portion of your audience.
That's like, you know, I'menjoying this right now, and this
is cool and it's not like ayou're screamed other. Um, but it's
not like it's not like hitting himin the heart or necessar fairly like changing

(10:01):
their world. And that's awesome, you know, enjoying it on any levels
freaking great and there's no wrong wayto do it. But I felt like
Patreon boils it down to those peoplewere like they get it, and they
really get it, you know absolutely. Um, Yes, Mikey, you
can check Andy out. UM.You can find them on YouTube with the
Rain Within or Bella Morte yea,and you can also check them out on

(10:24):
Patreon. Huge huge advocate of Patreon. UM. So I think that's another
cool thing too, is that youknow, when we talked earlier, UM
last week, UM, I wasmentioning that one of my favorite songs on
Patreon is Snow and I was like, that song just kills me and it
cracked me up because you're like, yeah, that's what they're supposed to do.

(10:46):
Yeah, well duh, so UM, a lot of your lyrics,
UM really do like that song itselfis just a beautiful ghost story love writing
stories. I actually have one anothersong that's a you know, a new
ghost story of about a guy thatum moves into an old house and every

(11:09):
night at midnight he hears music playingfrom the other room and it's like the
ghosts of someone like this woman playinga piano, and he like kind of
falls in love with her even thoughhe doesn't know we're just from the sound
of the music. And so I'mworking on that right now. Awesome,
And that that like goes back toI think ghost stories are just so beautifully

(11:31):
romantic, and people will make funof me for that, but I think
that it's like it is romantic. It really is. Yeah, Like I
don't find anything more romantic, becausethere's something about adding that little bit of
um, that a little bit ofsadness, that a little bit of tragedy,
that little bit of hope like alltogether like and that that idea of

(11:54):
um of impossibility is kind of beautifultoo, that idea of you know,
we want this to happen, butit can't be. It's there's something that
longing is is I think it's beautiful. And there's that eternity aspect too.
It's like that that Eternal, We'vegone on, We've gone on further than
just here, right, Yeah,it's it's awesome and some of my favorite

(12:18):
movies with gay stories. So yeah, definitely. Did you watch The Banishing
on watch Shutter? I believe Idid with The Old Manor House shutter?
Yeah, what was that one ofabout? Again, I watched so many
movies. It was the Old EnglishManor House and the young pastor moves in

(12:43):
with his family, and of coursethe little girl starts seeing the ghosts first.
Yes, I did see. Ienjoyed that. Yeah, yeah,
I enjoyed. I liked the Banishing. Yeah, I thought that was really
cool. I was like, youhave to watch horror movies like every Yeah,
I see, but yeah, thatwas really good. Yeah. I

(13:05):
just recently watched that one last weekendghost story comes out. I think that,
Um, I think that those slowghost stories where you don't have big
action sequences or big special effects orkills or anything, that I think they're
the hardest thing to make because youhave to find a director that can keep

(13:26):
your interest without those normal beats.Yeah, no, like, oh it's
getting slow, Well let's have thesingle, you know. No, I
like the ones where you just seesomething passing in the background, and you're
like, did I see that?Totally? Like some of my favorite movies,
like the Others are um like orThe Awakening was freaking us, the

(13:48):
Orphanage, House of Voices, likeThe Changeling, the original Changeling from nineteen
eighty like like that one. Thatone is so good. Yeah, the
Original Changeling changed how ghost stories aremade, Like so many movies have like
borrowed from that film since, likeThe Ring borrowed a lot from The change

(14:11):
Ling and the ball bouncing towards youstraight out of the Changeling, Like yes,
yes, I'm trying to catch upon some of the comments. This
is our friend, little bit.She she's gonna make us laugh all night.
She's the best. Ah well hello, yeah, she's saying Andy,

(14:35):
Andy, Andy, Oh a littlebit, there you go. But yeah,
the onus's point here. I don'tknow if it came up yet.
My computer seems to be a littlebit slow. The imagination is scarier than
reality, I think so absolutely. It can be like until an other faces
changed, chasing you through the woodsof the Chainsaw. Then you're like,

(14:56):
maybe reality a little scarier. Maybe, But that's one of the things that
I I really like. I'm sorry, go ahead, I was saying,
only under those extreme circumstances. Yes, yes, um, but that's one
of the things that I love aboutdoing my ghost tours as opposed to doing
like really scary haunted houses. Isthat I like that. I like implant,

(15:18):
like just kind of like planting thoseseeds. Yeah, yeah, no,
absolutely, that's awesome. I thinkit's really cool. It's something I'm
very proud of. You should beYes, you are. Um, you'll
be up for a Dark Side ofthe con right you have that coming up?
Yeah? Yeah, yeah next year. It's so crazy. I've been

(15:39):
booked for that for like two anda half years or something now, and
they're like they're like, no thisdate, no this date, no this
date, And I'm like, I'lljust be there whenever. You guys just
nudge me, you know. Yeah, I'm actually doing a panel presentation for
that. Oh cool. What's iton Edgar Allan Poe? Very cool?

(16:00):
Yeah, doing a whole like youknow, everyone's got that whole mythology about
Poe and what they want to believethat he was. But I'm gonna spoil
that a little bit and talk aboutwhat he actually was I live right here
in Charlottesville. Oh, he wentto school there. Yeah, went school
here and like up at the Universityof Virginia. His actual dorm room that

(16:21):
you put a glass door on itso you can like walk up and look
in and see like it's decorated. You know, it's it's the furniture and
everything's of his period. It's whatit would have looked like, you know,
potentially while he was there. Sothat's kind of cool. That is
pretty cool. If I remember correctly, you can push a button and it'll
give you a little like ed GrowlandPoe lesson. But I think it's like

(16:42):
insanely inaccurate, like because I can'tremember his history. But didn't you like
get kicked out or drop out forlike drugs or something? I can't remember.
No, he his foster father.I can give you the whole lesson,
but I won't take up too muchtime. His foster father had this
thing against him and did not wantto support him because he wanted to be

(17:03):
a writer and a linguist. Hisfoster father wanted him to take over the
tobacco business that he ran, sothere was a lot of contention throughout the
relationship. And he ended up gamblingbecause he didn't have enough money to pay
for his debts in school. Hewas so poor that he ended up burning
his furniture in his dorm room tokeep warm. Wow. Yeah, and

(17:27):
yeah, it's it's it's very hislife. I have actually his signature on
my arm. His life was prettytragic, is I mean, everyone knows
that it's tragic, but it wasmore than more than we think. But
yeah, so that yeah, soprobably was a little bit inaccurate. They're
probably talking about opium and stuff likethat, which may or may not have

(17:51):
played a role in his life, but not as much as people think.
Gotcha. Yeah, well you'll haveto go to the panel then to hear
all about it. It'd be cool. Yeah, I'd love to hear.
So we've got um, we've gota lot of peoples popping in to say

(18:12):
Hi, it's awesome. Hi everybody, double hellos. So um, I
am running the rain within um fancamp down the bottom. I know Mikey
was asking if we can find music. Um yeah, um, And I'm

(18:33):
getting a message here that my videokeeps frizzing out and I think that it
might be because it's so hot herethat nothing is working, right, Yeah,
occasionally you turn into weird fuzzy greenlines. I thought you were actually
cool. They that was the powerof yours. You're like now fuzzy green
lines. That would be awesome.Like the lasers, Um, it's my

(18:57):
own, my own lasers, LikeI want to go the thing you turn
and go there, you know.Yeah, I don't know why. It's
probably because Jill saying it's like laserhands. Yay, brought those, but
I have to fog up the room. They don't work without fog, you

(19:19):
know. Ah, that's the bummer. Really, they're definitely very memorable,
and I think that if you goon YouTube you can find some of Andy's
life performances with with the laser hands. Yep, they're fun. Mikey's saying
he thought the Max Headroom was goingto come out, so we got Dark

(19:47):
Side of the Con. We gotDark Side of the Con coming up in
twenty twenty two, right, yeah, and you've got the Gothic Cruise coming
up, yeah, September. Definitelya spoort to that being on the oh.
I like it's so like, it'sso funny. But even if it
wasn't, like the Gothic Cruise Ifreaking love being on cruises because I think

(20:11):
this is like the I can't rememberfourth or fifth time I've I've performed on
the goth cruise and it's just somuch fun. I mean just like it's
like cruises are so tacky, likethey're so tacky and corny, but like
I just love it, Like I'mdefinitely looking forward to it. We Yeah,

(20:34):
I did it. I did onecruise one time, and at first
I was like, oh, Idon't want to do it. When I
got home, I was like annoyedthat nobody was taking my plates away.
I'm like, why is nobody cleaningup after me? I don't understand.
So we'll get back to all thatstuff. But we are right. We

(20:55):
have to listen to Jillian and say, can we talk about Horror Show?
Because that was the thing that mademe reach out to you, is that
you do you have a new albumcoming out? Yeah? So yeah,
that's the new Ring Within album. It's called Horror Show, and uh,
it's coming out. We haven't gota solid day yet. We thought it
was gonna be October fifth, butnow it might be or something like that.

(21:15):
But now it's gonna be sometime betweenOctober fifth and the twenty third.
It's kind of point it's up tolike the distributor at this point, and
uh, oh thank you a littlebit. But yeah, the album's coming
out on Negative Gain and uh it'smy most aggressive visceral album yet. It's

(21:41):
definitely got a lot of horror themes, a lot of like it's still melodic
because that's what that's what I do. You know, I love working a
lot, but this album hits alot harder than anything I've done previously with
the Ring Within, So like, you know, like you catch a lot
of these little moments of like veryhorror themed sounding stuff, kind of like

(22:03):
you know, like Halloween and Thennathen and then and then little like moments
like that over the over court progressionsand stuff. It's it's a it's a
heavier album. I'm really excited aboutit. I'm about to start shooting some
videos. I just gotta gimble inthe mail, so I'm gonna try to
learn all this stuff. Oh Ineed one of those. It's definitely one
of those. Um Julian says shewent on a cruise of someone from Charlottesville

(22:26):
in twenty eighteen, and she wasn'tso over the entire time. I don't
drink, so I mean I don'tremember. Um yeah, so you said
somewhere somewhere around Halloween that should beout then right, yeah, you got
it. Sometime in the month ofOctober. It's coming the month of Halloween.

(22:48):
The month of Halloween. It's thebest time of year, damn right.
Like I'll be so happy for thishot weather to go away. Like
I love the fall, I justlove it. The best time of year,
pretty best time of year. Likelove it. I mean obviously love
Halloween because that's that's what we do. Um, but I can't stand the

(23:15):
impending winter. I'm okay with winter. I like, I like winter,
all right, Like I even likesnow. I'm a maniac. You know,
well you don't. You guys don'tget much snow in Virginia, right,
No, but you have to youhave to take everything like, um
relative, you know, everything's relative, like like, for example, the

(23:36):
same amount of snow in Chicago thatwouldn't even like makes you know, wouldn't
even slow traffic for ten seconds, would shut down Virginia day or two.
You know, it's there. There'sno reason for a place like this that
doesn't get a lot of snow tospend a ton of money in infrastructure,

(23:56):
Like yeah, yeah, it's different, it's definitely. And you know people
in northern States are going to bea little better at driving in it,
say, have more practice. Um, so you just you know, it's
just uh, it's just a littledifferent. When we do get snow,
it matters, you know. Yeah, but yeah, definitely don't like don't

(24:18):
get it like the Northern States. No, no, no no. Um,
which that that brings me back tomy other my favorite song snow so
um. Yes, check out Patreon. You will get a totally different experience
on Patreon than you normally get fromfollowing a musician just online or just buying

(24:41):
their music on band camp. Um, because you know, you get that
that conversation and you get to seethat whole like the entire um process.
Really, I mean you're you're prettyopen about your whole process on there,
big time. Um. And andthink like right now, somebody signed up
for like two bucks only state amonth, they would get access to like

(25:03):
a hundred and some odd unreleased songsimmediately. So that's it's it's a decent
deal. Have you ever thought haveyou thought about putting them on an album
and releasing them absolutely right now,I am collecting songs and remastering some from
my instrumental project, Small Precious Lights. I would like to make an official

(25:26):
Small Precious Lights release. And thenmy other my like kind of witch house
sort of spooky, very dark projectcalled God's Fare No Better that I want
to put an album out at somepoint, and then my like the guitar
driven gopy stuff I do on there, like, I want to do an
album of that, and all ofit's going to eventually happen, and especially
after after horror shows in the bagand it's outmen, you know, on

(25:51):
shelves, Like, once that's done, I can start thinking, Okay,
what's next. So after or thealbum comes out, at some point,
I'm going to drop the the myRihanna cover finally to the public. Finally,
that's the one that you do liveright, Yeah, it's Umbrella.

(26:15):
I love the song for a reallyfun cover it is it is. That
was one of the things that reallystuck out when when we first saw you
at B and B. Nice yep. But that's another interesting thing too with
Patreon, is that you have allthose sides, all those different projects that
are I guess produced or recorded underdifferent project names, so it's almost like

(26:38):
you've got totally different sounds for eachof these projects. Yeah, and it
keeps things interesting for me too.And one of the problems I've always had
is my like focus on one project. Having all these like projects does for
me is it allows me not tomuddy up what I'm doing with like the

(27:00):
Ring Within because of that that doesn'tnecessarily fit you know. So now that's
awesome and they're definitely very distinct, right Yeah. Um, we are going
to take a very quick break becauseit's almost seven thirty and I don't want

(27:21):
to interrupt our discussion on horror movies. So um, we're just gonna take
a really quick break. I thinklet's see, technology is not working.
I'll just dance award m h umhere you are you are? Something is

(29:45):
wrong with my computer, so umyeah, before we go back into all
that, everyone please check out WLFDdashdb dot com. We have all sorts
of great content, um if youcheck out our little icon up here.
We are also a safe space network, so reach out to us if if
you need anything. Um. Weare supportive of all of of everybody,

(30:07):
so please check us out. UMand also. Um also check out Psycho
Bunny, Psychomantium thirteen and pbdctv umfor all sorts of great content artists over
there as well. Um, Jillian'stelling me that it's because I don't have
an air conditioner in the room thatI'm in and because I'm a sadist,

(30:29):
and like you've lost your mind, like yeah, ac on like sixty seven,
and then a fan like basically onme, like like I think I'm
gonna like if I had died inbed, I would probably stay preserved for
like one hundred and fifty years atthe power fatal wouldn't look any different.

(30:53):
Um, great friend in high schooland when when he would crash at my
place, he always said, theyalways referred to my room as the pits
of Neptune. It's never that coldhere except in the winter because my house
is so old that the breeze justpasses right through the house. Good times,

(31:17):
good times. It's charming. It'sjust very old, um right,
right, charming maybe charming, that'sexactly what they sold me on. They're
like, it's charming, it's gotthe heart. Actually, you know,
this is how crazy I am.One of the reasons I fell in love
with my house is because it haswide, plying cardwood floors. Yeah.
So I thought of the telltale heartand putting the body in. I was

(31:41):
like, I need the house. That's it. That makes it perfect sense
to me. I don't know ifthat's as good or bad things about both
of us, but hey, itis what it is. UM. So
on that note, a nice goodsegue into horror. Um, So,
what's you do? You have afavorite? I know we talked the bit
about ghost stories. You have afavorite horror movie all like all in all

(32:02):
horror movie. So there there area few. Um, It's it's hard
to make like a single like favoritefavorite overall because there's so many different subgenres
and stuff. But I would givea real quick nod to um the French
film by Pascal Logier called Martyrs thatis that is way up on my list.

(32:22):
Not the US remake, which isreally really awful, but the original
French version is gorgeous, um brutaland different. Other films I like absolutely
love or Let the Right One in. Yeah, once again, the original
foreign version of the film. Greatbook too, the best one of my

(32:43):
favorites. Um. As far asa movie, that's one thing that I've
really fallen in love with. Uhas I've gotten older, is like horror
adjacent films, like films a horror, but they have those elements like,
um, there's a movie called aghost Story. Um, it's one of
my favorites that right there with you. And I know for some people that

(33:04):
like the movie's too slow for me, it's perfect, Like that movie's perfect
beginning to end. For me,it's beautiful and I cry every time with
the scene with the two ghosts lookingat each other, like every time beautiful,
like I reckon, Like I don'twant to give it away, but
it's it's such a go even ifyou don't like the movie, if you
if you wait for that scene,at least it's so gorgeous and the never

(33:29):
might I want to give it awayeither, because right it's such a neat
concept that and you know that directorDavid Lowry. The thing I'm really excited
about seeing the summer is The GreenNight is coming out and it's like a
fantasy King Arthur supernatural thing and itlooks the trailer looks gorgeous. Oh,

(33:50):
I love the King Arthur stuff. But last year, a great horror movie
that came out it kind of flewunder the radar and it is on the
shutter right now, which is easyto find to free like seven to thirty
day trial. But there's a moviecalled The Dark and the Wicked that came
out. It's so freaking good.I think I saw at the theater like
three times, like so free good. And last week, two days in

(34:14):
a row, I saw a newhorror movie called Sensor that I really love.
That still in theaters and uh,once again, anything I recommend of
everybody take with a grain that song. I love slow movies, like when
people walk out, Like when Isee a review of a film online and
people are like, that was reallyslow and pretentious. I'm like, oh
my god, I gotta see that. I love horror movies that crawl and

(34:38):
take their time and they're not worriedabout jumping out at you under the skin.
Really great sci fi horror with ScarlettJohansson's it sounds disturbing dark. Yeah,
it's it's gorgeous. It's really greatfilm, but I think it's her
best movie. So the slow, the slow and steady um types of movies

(35:04):
because they I feel like they justkind of pull you out of reality and
that's what I need a movie todo. I'm right there with you.
And I grew up like I gotin the Horror show Young that, like
I grew up with like Trauma, you know, watching Trauma, and and
of course the Slashers of the eightieslike you, Halloween, Friday thirteen,
name Renald Street and stuff like that. And I still enjoy that stuff,

(35:27):
but it's for me that stuff isum more, it's more of a like
watch it with friends, because it'skind of funny and campy, you know,
as opposed to something like a ghoststory where I like want to sync
into it. Oh. Another greatone of my very favorite movies of all
time, another horror, a jacentfilm with just slight elements of horror.
It's a Vego Mortenson film from likeI believe, the early nineties called The

(35:52):
Reflecting Skin and uh, very oddand it's got a David Lynch field to
it and it's but it's not it'snot like whacked out David Lynch like what
am I watch? But it's beautiful. Um So The Reflecting Skim would be
another another one I'd recommend, Soeverybody's getting all sorts of good horror recommendations.

(36:15):
Tonight said slither so much. That'ssomething that's um. What's his name,
Guardians of the Galaxy director Um,James gunn would Yeah, he directed
Guardians of the Galaxy. He directedSlither, Um and I believe his first

(36:36):
film was for Trauma and it wascalled Tromeo and Juliette Us Right. Yeah,
I don't know why I can't getthese comments off. Do you still
see a comment? What the heck'sgoing on with my computer? I did
see a comment. I do notsee a comment currently. It's probably because
it's one hundred degrees. It's extremelyrude. Well, we got hello.

(37:13):
You just totally broke up and mydogs are screaming. What it's my house,
Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I'mgonna mute you, Jill. What's
your backdrop, Billius, it's it'sthe Sinister Sisters backdrop it Yeah, we're

(37:37):
taking a little break from Sinister Sistersto UM for now, UM, because
I, like I said, Ijust have so many things going on UM
and then goes towards starting the nextmonth too. So yeah, yea world
opening back up, go to hellbuilt. I very I loved everything being
shut down. I had an excusefor everything I will say I did have

(38:01):
a lot of time to be productiveon my music. Like that part was
really awesome. The now people likehave parties and want you to go to
them. Yeah, I'm like what, Yeah, they got a lot of
nerve. Like I don't leave myhouse. What are you talking about?
That's me to go anywhere? LikeI have a few friends I go to
movies with and that's like my jamyou know. But uh, but being

(38:24):
at home working on music in annice, cold dungeon is mine. Well,
when you're super popular like I am, you get invited to everything.
I get it, but I hearit's it's very hectic. And we also
have qxts that just reopened up here, the great venue right there. I'm

(38:44):
not ready, right, I don'tget any ready either. I don't think
so. So I'm I'm good togo. But at the same time,
I'm like you, I don't.I don't really care to go anywhere.
Though. My favorite local restaurant inplaces I've been going since I was like
no high school shut down. Nothey didn't survived. Make it sucks.

(39:10):
It's called Little John's and I canstill taste it. You know. That's
a shame. Yeah, that isa shame and grade. I am that
old now it was in the twelveout here. I know she she doesn't
want me at here at all alittle bit. She's like, screw these

(39:35):
ladies faces. She just wants anAndy show all the time. I mean,
that's why we're all here. II'm being asked to Vogue, but
I'm not allowed to. I'm notallowed to vote Vogue. Oh I'm done.

(40:00):
She told me she would kick meout if I vogued. But my
fans, my fans want what myfans want that, so we we do
that our Senator Sisters show, andthat literally half the show is Jillian going
off and doing her Vogue thing becausepeople are asking her to do that.
So I have to keep yelling ather to refocus. Let's be honest,

(40:23):
it's not people, it's not people. It's one person. That yeah,
it's one person. It is allit takes. But the focus is on
Andy. So no, but itwas the coolest thing ever to let for
you to allow us to use yourmusic for our intro. I was like,
I was so excited. It wasawesome. Always happy to help.

(40:49):
And it's a Patreon song, people, so get it. Nobody outside of
patres ever even heard it so well, all four of our followers, I've
heard it, so so it's Patriotplus four. There you go, Here
you go. We were um.We would listen to like the beginning part

(41:14):
of it and we'd be dancing andthen the music would stop in the video
would stop, and we'd be caught. Every time, like every week,
it would be like an eighties freezeframe, Like I can't see there you
go. It seems like you disappearwhenever you put up a comment. You

(41:36):
know, it's got to be somethingwith the bandwidth, or maybe the fact
that it's literally one hundred and thirteendegrees in this room. That's insane.
It'll be anywhere outside of the centerof the earth. In my opinion,
it's fine, no one, noone's here to see us. They're all
here to see it exactly. Yeah. When when mankind shifts off the Mars,

(42:02):
you're gonna be like nothing. Yeah, when we all boil into fainked
potatoes. Okay, So what else? What else we have going on?
We've got, We've got We've brieflytalked about the Gothic Cruise. We talked
about the dark side of the conYeah, you got Horror Show. I

(42:25):
also I saw that you were workingon some more stuff for Patreon the other
day. I am like, myJuly is so insanely busy that this week
like I went nuts, like buckleddown and was like writing stuff. So
I finished two songs and two days. Basically I had to do some touch
up work on a third day,but like two songs, and I really

(42:47):
love both of these tracks. Oneof them is eighties and very eighties,
but not in our Raging within Weight. It's much more of like a psychedelic
first type of thing with two yeah, like our Echo and the Bunny Man
or something like. It's kind ofthat feels. And then one of them
sounds like like early Bella with RingWithin elements and stuff. So and and

(43:10):
I today started working on a thirdtrack because I'm trying to get ahead.
Wow, so much of my Julyhas already eaten up with like other projects.
So, oh you're hungry like theWolf cover is, Yeah, that
was those did great like reaction torelease. Yeah, yeah, for those
of you don't know, I releasedRing Within covers of Duran Duran's Hungry like

(43:34):
the Wolf and so good first timeafter time and a lot of attention.
That was awesome. I'm gonna mademe think I was saying I should keep
releasing covers throughout the year. Youknow, I'm like, yeah, kind
of fun because it changes the wholeway that that song sounds. It's like
your teeth on it is so different. Yeah, Like, and I try
to do that, you know,it's funny. But outside of like my

(43:58):
Rihanna cover, which is actually prettyloyal to the to the original version of
Umbrella, but most of them,I'm like, I really want to take
this in a in a different directionbecause the other person already did it that
way right, already sounds like thatnobody needs another one. And uh.

(44:19):
But the person I've covered most,I've done two covers of Celine Dion,
so there was more room on thatdoor the yeah and uh, and then
recently covered ashes with the rooting within. So she's the leading candidate right now

(44:39):
for my covers. But you know, do you have do you have any
other covers you're thinking about? Always? I don't have anything like in things
like in the works right now.I've been doing, like I said,
I've been working on a lot ofsongs and I've gotten a whole ton of

(45:00):
over the last month, I've gottenlike so many remix requests that that has
been uh, that's been eating upa whole lot of time. Oh the
cover of Soma, Yeah, coveredby that is excellent. Covered my favorite
Smashing Pumpkins song, hy Lauren.I'm trying to I'm trying to put these

(45:24):
comments up, but I feel likeit's it's messing up my whole video every
time I do it. Jewels saysthat Ashes is an achingly beautiful cover.
I agree, absolutely too, Likeit's another one that went there. Hopefully
Seline will do it duet with meat some point. I don't ever know.

(45:45):
You gotta get up to Canada forthat. Yeah, almost my nose.
Maybe you could do a duet onthe Titanic door in the ocean.
She could just let me see yougo. Oh got it. I gotta
say I got it. We Oh, it's a terrible movie, but we

(46:08):
got it. But we got thevideo, guys, done, video done,
done, absolutely right now and we'vegone all right, we got like
fifteen minutes left. Where's my drawnstuff? Immediately? Where's my easel?

(46:36):
You got touch? She thinks youshould do a cover of Michael Jackson's thriller
that would be a really fun cover. Mm hmm yeah. I like,
like, I loved Michael Jackson growingup, and it's it's intert I couldn't
even think of what I would doto it, maybe slow it way down
or something. I don't know. After I covered it, any how might

(47:00):
hear the original track of Like, holy shit, that's so fast? Yeah,
five versions like half the speed. You know, I'm gonna play your
version on Halloween for the kids.Yeah, like it. That's the best
thing to do. And trick aTreat a thousand times. We can play
trick a Treat over and over andover again. Just my little Sam.

(47:22):
I love him. I'm like,he's a murderer, but he's so tiny
and cute. That's how they getaway with Yeah. Even when he took
the thing off, I was like, oh, it's like a pumpkin.
I love that. He is likethe the icon for the holiday. Like,

(47:45):
yeah, we've got the classics likeMichael Myers and you know, Jason
and stuff like that, leather Face, all those guys, but I feel
like they're like slashers, whereas Samfeels like the embodiment of the holiday.
Yeah, he's mad and you don'tcelebrate and got He's got the cute and

(48:08):
the scary going on, everything aboutit like appropriate and like the popsical knife,
Like he's I have a lot goingon. Cat traffic behind me keeps
blowing my curtains. There's cat politicshappening. There's dog politics over there.

(48:29):
It's there was there was, ohbe on my lap before melting. Yeah,
he's the melting the the forever meltingdog. He's wonderful. Probably any
care he No, No, he'snot. He's mama all he wants.

(48:51):
Yeah, yeah, I know,Tyr, I keep going into the matrix.
Maybe I'm not real. Maybe that'sthe whole problem. Oh I like
that this. It's good that it'syour last episode for WALK because that'll be
like a cliffhanger, like easy, like now you find actually real? So
yeah, back sadly, I amreal, sad waiting for everybody. I

(49:15):
am real, But I'm like inthe high eighties, high eighties like that,
I'm I'm like eighty eight percent eightnine percent. I'm that I'm real.
That's that's kind of work. Icould talk myself out of being real.
So I think being real might beoverrated. So I'm like, I'm

(49:37):
not pushing. I agree one hYeah, if I'm not real and I
have this day job, that isridiculous. Yeah, there's going on.
There's one of the um one ofthe ghosts. Someone on My Key Pork

(49:58):
Ghost Tour. There's a woman whereyou used to be a receptionist. Then
they keep hearing her say hello whenthey walk in the door, and I'm
like, could you imagine that's yourafterlife is like greeting people? Right,
No, that's it. That's it. If my afterlife has anything to do
with human beings. After the jobthat I have day in and day out,

(50:22):
I'll jump off a ghost bridge orsomething I was not gonna happen watching
movies about ghosts like that'll be justhaunt, haunt someone's house like Halloween.
Yeah, And when they're like talkingduring the movie, I'm missing, oh

(50:53):
my gosh, with a with awheelchair and a bag of bouncy balls to
roll down the stairs. You know. They did come out of the blu
ray of the change, like finally, but it had errors on it,
and I don't know that they everlike satisfactorily you like, corrected everything.
But I'm like, I'm one ofthose people, like I am like I

(51:15):
do buy movies, like physically andespecially because I'm always worried they're gonna like
get rid of a movie because ofits content, you know, like down
the Road, Like what's like thefirst movie you saw that, you were
like, oh, okay. Ilove horror movies. I was a little
kid and I with my uncle andmy cousins, I saw Phantasm at the

(51:39):
drive in. What the fuck Iwas watching? Like? And I was
fined. But at the same time, it was this thrill. And I
had really awesome parents growing up,and so I got into horror really young.
I felt safe. That sort ofscare was fun. It wasn't scary.

(52:02):
It was like right, I wassafe, and I had a good
life, and so horror movies forme. And that's why now I watch
the most extreme of them, becauseI don't I don't tie it into my
real life situations. It's all entertainment, so I can watch, you know,
I'm like human centipede. I likelove it. Yeah, I really
love it. And no, no, sir, I started so young,

(52:27):
and now I'm like, no,I did too. Come on, that's
not an excuse to be gross. It's not an excuse to be gross.
Jillian's just gonna come on here andtell you all about yourself. Okay,
that's exactly what I've been looking for, so I can tell you about your
life, mister I gret I want. I don't hear it. I can't

(52:54):
remember the first, like the actualfirst one, but I know that like
we used to am I used tohave us watch Tails from the Dark Side
with her growing up. Sep stillholds up to this day, terrifying up
back there. And you know thethe Tales from the Dark Side movie that

(53:16):
came out like so good, liketwenty years ago and good. But the
last story, in particular with theGargoyle is amazing where the guy falls and
like gets attacked by a gargoyle andhe lives in it. I'm gonna have
to rewatch that because it's been along time. It's been a long long
time. First story is like theMummy, remember, oh yes, it's

(53:40):
the Mummy in the Apartment with likeChristian Slater. Oh yes, yeah,
that was the first one. Ican't remember the next one, but I
know the last one is the likethe best. It's just so good.
I got that blue ray. Ithink Arrow put it out and they always
put out like quality blue rays.I love the beginning to the Twilight Zone.

(54:01):
Movie's really scary. It's one ofmy favorites. Oh, it's so
good, one of one of myfavorites, like from being like really really
little because it scared me so badly. And it's gonna sound really stupid.
But don't be afraid of the dark. Oh that's funny. I never really

(54:22):
saw that. No, we movedinto a house right after, like when
that movie came out. I watchedit like as much as I could because
it was so creepy to me.And we moved into a house that had
vents and those creatures lived in thevents. Oh yes he did the remake.
Yeah, yes, okay, yeah, you're waiting dudes to come out.

(54:45):
Yes. Yeah, we just hada little centipedes living in those vents.
Oh god, oh they were terrible. It's great old old Jersey houses.
Yeah yeah, I'm sure it's thesame here. No, that was
a liner. Now it's not trustus. It's not New Jersey's Zone.
Beast. Um. We only havefive more minutes, so I just want

(55:07):
to I'm gonna try to run thebanner here again. To check out Andy's
Patreon, please Um, you canpop me out if if you need to.
Um, I might have to becauseI think that it's going to slow
it down. Okay, go ahead, I'll just hang out right there.
Okay, bye, Okay if Iget out of here. Um, I'm

(55:28):
not I'm not kidding when I sayit is the best money I spend every
month. Um. All the artiststhat are on Patreon are just fantastic,
but especially Andy. And you candownload all the music too, so you
can take it with you. Yea. And yes, the other great song
that's on there is Red Si Grice, so people should go and listen to
that one too. Yeah, Ilike that one too, my favorite.

(55:50):
Recently, there's a song called Sometimesand Oh, that one's good. That's
one of my favorites. And theother one is on Flowers than the Midnight
See, one of my very favoritethings I've ever written. It's only available
on there. The beginning to thatis so um beautifully creepy nice that I
listened to it before I do ghosttours. That project is so fun to

(56:15):
write, like My God's fare nobetter stuff, because the whole idea is
to be like as creepy as possible, So it's much appreciated excellent reaching out
to my creepy people on the CreepyParlor. So, um, we got
the Andy's Patreon going on down there, and also, um, you can

(56:37):
also find his music on band camp. I'm going to run that one.
Um. Is band Camp doing theband Camp Fridays still? You know,
I don't know that they are not, but I thought I heard that they
were going to continue it, butI'm not sure. But band camp is
awesome. The way to look atit is if you listen to music on
like Spotify or Apple Music or AmazonPrime, that's the radio. Band Camp

(57:00):
is the virtual record store. Likeit's where more money goes to the artists.
Um Man, I recommend that Irecommend buying all of your digital music
there at merch because you really aresupporting the small labels and the artists more
directly by by patronizing them on bandcamp. You know awesome. Do you

(57:22):
have any new march coming up onthere? Oh? Man? I got
you like hoodie T shirts, Imean, you name it, new cassettes
and like a lot of cool stuff, stickers, you know, all the
all the stuff. I think thecassettes are really fun because they're just so
um they're just so old school exactly. I have so many people are like,

(57:45):
I bought your cassette. I don'taccept player, but I love this
thing. I just found a UM, I think you can buy an Amazon
that turns cassettes into MP three's.Oh nice, Yeah, I might have
to do that. UM a littlebit asking about Andy Dolls. Nothing yet,

(58:05):
But we'll get there. We'll getwe'll get there if we believe,
If we believe enough, we'll getthere. Yes. Oh that's what we
say with a little bit. Wesay our name three times. All right,
Yes, Natalie says, this hasbeen a great show. Thanks Natalie.
UM, I do have to wrapit up right now, um,
