Rico appeared to have it all, the sky was the limit.
After his career came to a sudden end, Rico struggled to find himself, Basketball was all he had ever known.
After getting the help needed, he was in a better place.
In fact, he had recently moved in with his girlfriend of two and a half years.
This is why so many people are baffled by that fateful trip in October 2014.
