Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, good evening, ladies and gentlemen, the Australian mates and mates.
Wesley Outland, your American AUSI announcer, Welcome to coverage of
the Australian NASCAR E Series and the Truck Series Championship.
We're ready to go here. I am Wesley Outland. As
I mentioned Dylan McDonald, I think he is probably gonna
pop in an hour late because of daylight savings time.
(00:25):
I think you forgot to set his clock in our
right because three point fifty I had to climb out
of bed in America. Nonetheless, it is nighttime in Australia
and we have Nigel Sedele joining me and Biggles Dean
Hopton also for production Championship night. Nigel, We're ready to
(00:46):
see what these trucks will do at Phoenix. What a
wild race we saw in the BMG Xfinity Series on Tuesday.
Brad Newman wins the championship. Can he continue this momentum
trend right now?
Speaker 2 (01:00):
One?
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Moving into the final race here in the final four.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Good evening to you, Wesley, good evening day in the trailer,
bring you the pitches and good evenings everyone at home.
We're gonna be in for a cracking race heat tonight.
We've got four drivers. We've got two Southern Stars cars
with the forty three of Borg and then one ninety
four of Ryan Barber up against the X Series champion
Brad Newman and Jason Holdsworth as well. He's very strong
and these trucks have been looking for his first championship
(01:26):
as well, so we're in for it great not.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
Now, remember Newman, Holdsworth, Borg and Barbara they're all locked
in to the Championship four. They don't have to win
the race if they could win the race at Sicson
on the cake, but they just got to be the
finishing guy ahead of their competition to lock up a
championship of one of those four drivers. Ladies and gentlemen,
we're not wasting no time here at the Phoenix Raceway.
(01:49):
Let's give you your starting lineup on the newly reconfigured
track and what do you know. Brad Newman fast qualifier
for LOBS Sports will start on the pole. Aaron Borg,
one of the Championship four, will be on the outside.
Weather conditions and everything down below will give you the
information of the race in the moment. Dave Douglas and
coot Ti dwe will make up ro number two. Zach
(02:12):
Kerr Ryan Barber will make up the third row Jason Holdsworth.
So four of the championship drivers are in the first
seven spots of the race. Jamie Davis will start eighth
on the outside, Tom Pritchard, Riley Curtis, Angus Lawford and
Project thirty six alongside with his teammate David Lawler will
(02:33):
start twelfth.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Nigel as we go over the page. Thirteenth is Trent
Lavaur Australium Wide Racing in thirteenth, Lee Davis in fourteenth
position in zero one, fourth, Tom Free of sin gcm
Raising in fifteenth, Tim Bundell sixteenth for Blundeale, Seam Raising,
Andy Barba, Southern Stars eight Sports seventeenth with eighteenth Inam
Blind Bundell nineteenth, Aaron Dolman, twentieth, Brad Roightight twenty first,
(02:58):
Brendan Griffiths and rounding out the fields and on Zach
Blundell in twenty second.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
There you go, there's the lineup, twenty two trucks ready
to battle here for the race. And let's take a
look at the race details there it is obviously it's
a one hundred and fifty lap race. We're thinking that
you could possibly make it on one stop with seventy
five laps on a fuel window, four sets of tires,
three attempts at a green white checker. We're out of
(03:22):
the lights. Green flag is out. The championship race is
on here in Phoenix. They didn't waste any time to
get this race started, Nigel. They're already working in turn
two to the back straight away.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Said, that's two three full white down the back. Name
is Brad Newman brings him back down the back straight.
Speaker 4 (03:40):
Away at the first time. Dave dougl there will with.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
The Aaron Bulg as well, and just remembered realizing home
the playoff dramas you have championship full will be in
watching on.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
All those drivers on that scoring pylon in white signifying
they are the four drivers racing for the championship. Nigel,
what's the key here?
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Man?
Speaker 1 (04:00):
What's it gonna take to be here at the end?
And for these four guys, knowing you got nineteen eighteen
hungry rascals around them? Its Borg just ate the wall problems.
Oh my goodness, we do got trouble. Holdsworth hit trouble
in the eighth We saw Borg hit the wall. We
saw holdswort No, I'm sorry, we saw Holdsworth hit the wall. Unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
He'd be damage on that dammage on that car as well.
He's really starting to struggle out there. What's nose is
happening out there? I'm not sure what happened to you?
The keys of racing, and I think he's going to
be Utah where you don't want to be going too
hard too early, drops.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
Down a fifteenth position. There be good if we're can
replay that, if we can at any stage.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Unfortunately that's okay, but yeah, unfortunate for them to know.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
But yeah, we still got these.
Speaker 5 (04:50):
Cars up in fun.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
He would run bother with them in six months and
forty three.
Speaker 5 (04:56):
And I'm gonna go to a replay, Wesley.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
They're already getting firework started here in the Championship race
and only a few lapse into it. Watch this on
the replay, boy, oh.
Speaker 6 (05:08):
Boy, yeah, yeah, it gets loose fifty five.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
See the fifty five getting loose end of the water
and then there's contact. Wow fifty five and then the
eight holds Worth and that is one of the championship
drivers of the Championship four.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
No, Dan doesn't want to reverse.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
But I wonder if he could reverse that back and
see if there was a little bit of an Internet
connection going on there.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
If weekend, I think.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
Thinking on the back of if we can go back
in the fire chase, here we go here, we'll be
able to see what's happened here.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yeah, yeah, something yeah, by the way, that was Kntain
now by the way that we were talking about.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
And lucky for one the Ryan Barb and the one
on four he was on the outside too.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
But this looks this, this looks like a why would
he go up straight across the.
Speaker 5 (06:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
Anyway, we'll go bout to Love Pictures with.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
It back two live pictures, Brad Newman, Aaron Bord right
behind him. They're one and two. Barbara now has climbed
out of the top five, and that number one ninety
four machine. Everybody just kind of patiently working their way. Now.
Remember in the Truck Series on Thursday Night, there was
not stage like stage one of two like it's been
(06:25):
for the Tuesday program Tuesday Night. Obviously, Brad Newman won
the championship in that. But all the while, or can
lap number seven of one hundred and fifty and it's
one hundred and fifty green flag laps, chants at overtime,
three attempts at a green white checker. If need being,
you're on board now with Jamie Davis Project thirty six, Nigel.
Speaker 5 (06:49):
Go on board.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
He currently is eventh at the moment here at the moment,
he's up under the position where he started this evening
night nineties five flaps.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
So far he has been a twenty s in train.
Now we look at the bull of them.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
We can see the other Project thy six guys ahead
of them as you've team of them as we go
another con that's he's blinked out as well.
Speaker 7 (07:08):
So if you got a these connection issues for a few.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
Out there at the moment, and we want a little
but Brendon to coach.
Speaker 5 (07:15):
Griffith's currently in ten position.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
Tenth position. Now, if you're out there on the chat
at the moment, Dervey Shaw, let.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Us know who you think is gonna win the vice
or not. Give us your tips. It gives you who's
been your favorite Drava throughout.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
The ear.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Been a fun season as obviously we now work with
Dave Douglas. You're on board with him, the man out
of Central Queensland. What a great job double d has done.
Dave Douglas there at the number ten machine, he's up
to third right now, that's a big company. Yes, there's
that Kurr in that number twelve machine. That's the pink,
purple and white entry down on the inside diving on him.
(07:50):
The next the centry going after Douglas tonight, trow he'll
clear him and go to third as they work back
to the line.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
See Bithface Drava is in the Champanship race on Sunday
night for the A and C race at Homestead as well, Wesley.
Then we see those drivers in action as well as
we look on board, as well as we look at
the the guys up the fronts Brad Newman and Aaron
Borg both of them there. I think he had a
half a tenth difference in lat time at the moment.
But as we all know, the clean air in the
trucks and Phoenix is king, so Ad Newman will have
(08:22):
a little bit more of advantage at the moment because.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
Of that clean act.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Holdsworth now making his way back through the field now
back up to eleven after that little mishap. Early have
been the biggest movie so far tonight, Wesley has been
Brendan Foochie's up twelve positions.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Around the mess, Jason Holdsworth again picking up rhythm after
hitting the wall with Coote Dow and the early going
as they make their way down the bank straight away.
Obviously there's a little inc and blink there for the
fifty two of Vegas. Lawford's right now the Championship four.
You see them popping up on your screen now in
(09:00):
the white box on the scoring pylon and all four
back into the Championship four in the top ten newman
in the league, Borgots second, that's the one in the
forty three. Y're on board now with Tom Richard. This
is for eighth spot, put Barber fifth and Holdsworth after
issues back Nigel into the top Tennis were single file
and already work in lap fifteen of this race. Next
(09:22):
time by.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Moved back under the light and though so the group
was starting to pick up a little bit more there
with the eighty six cosy Ron on board there with
Trent Leval and currently in the.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
Third ended edition. He's had a struggle season that my
father year. I'm trend in the thirteenth.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
He had a really strong season last season, but he'll
be back next year in the sixty seven, I'm sure.
And it's all so good to say all these tracks
out there, they're not they're not just out there.
Speaker 4 (09:47):
They'll be gone for the win, but as well.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
But it's also a celebration for all of these guys
for all the work and done all season putting the
show on for everyone at home.
Speaker 5 (09:55):
It's been great.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
And ooh, hold on, look at this, by the way,
there's your race details. It's cute town getting company again
from the one thirty six of A Friend and Ship. Well,
I never saw David Lawler, Lawler and Curtis all going after him.
Blundelle as well. He wants all this happen here. Gotta
love this right track, A wonderful kuda.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
He's struggling at the moment, really's truck at the moment
because of the damage you got early with Jason Holdsworth.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
Wonder if it's kicks out a little bit, getting little bit.
Speaker 5 (10:32):
Too loose on him there.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
He's really working that wheel at the moment, trying to
keep that thing on the track.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
So that'd be one thing to watch as well. But
who big slide up there going down the backstretch.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
Somebody in the chap box chiming in and they said
Tom Frere is not burning spoons. There you go. So
what is Frear doing in the forty one? He's right
now climbing under the top five right now he's in
seventh position as we see now what battle going on?
But holds Worth and Choot Brandon Griffiths on the race track.
(11:05):
Look at that high line work for him as they
come down the backstretch now diving into three remember start
finished quickly approaching there it is as they hit the
dog leg. I see a lot of respect and patience
right now by these guys that maybe we didn't see
in the Infinity race early on in the race on
(11:27):
Tuesday night, Nigel.
Speaker 5 (11:29):
I think I think this might have a bit to
do in the nice days.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Whoa, I stand correct it, Choo to the wall. Holdsworth
just missed it.
Speaker 7 (11:42):
Holdsworth is backed off, Trouble backed off.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Yeah, he looks like he's controlled there in that eight truck.
It's been an unlucky not for that eight truck as well.
He's been fast awakened the officials. He's been coming into
this rice.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
He wanted this championship last year.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
He's he had connection issues season one championship I remember
in twenty twenty four of Season two Championship he also
had connection issues as whoa, he's really struggling in that
I car at the.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Moment watching him now go on the high side. That's
the thirty six again, that's Griffiths truck. Who Holdsworth right
there until they worked their way back down the turn one,
the dog leg turn one there pops into turn two,
the backstretch, very unique pit entrance there. You see the
entrance of pit lane on the back straight away. What
(12:34):
makes this track so unique? As they're working their way
down off the backstretch and to turn three, still Holdsworth
trying to get back into the top ten. He's the
man right now struggling the most. And you gotta wondered, Nigel,
how much damage is on the number eight Nitro truck
of Jason Holdsworth from hitting the wall not once but
(12:56):
twice in the first twenty laps of this race at Phoenix.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
I think there's a lot of damage there on that
front of that truck there, especially that on the right
hand side on up on the front. Eyes really struggling
with that truck. Is he s He's putting a lot
of wheel on that trying to get that into the corner.
Speaker 5 (13:15):
Oh tough for him.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
He'll be hoping for a cause.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Now maybe a lit'tle bit, that damage fixed and then
hopefully so if you can come back through the field.
But I think if he does stay green or he's
going to be struggling all night unfortunately in that eight truck.
The other thing I was going to say, Wesley is
if you're out there on the chat David Shian, tell
us what your favorite moments of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
Season and who do you think is going to win
as well.
Speaker 5 (13:39):
I think one of my highlights.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
This year brings me back to Gateway in the move
that Tom Frere did on Brad Newman to get the
victory at Gateway earlier.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
In the season.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
It's certainly one of my highlights of the What's been
a great season here in the trucks.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
What's a fun one for sure, Warrant let us know
your moment once again, this is the last race of
the season. I ain't a lot of angel I'm glad
it's the last race because I don't know if I
could continue getting up at four o'clock in the morning.
Because I told somebody, I told somebody the other day
I said, you know what, I said, Okay, at first
(14:13):
I got up at six am in the summer, and
then you guys had daylight savings time in Australia, right,
and so then I had to get up at five
o'clock in the morning, which I normally set my alarm
about a quarter or till. And then we had daylight
savings time this previous weekend on Sunday night in North
(14:36):
Carolina in the United States, So now you got to
get up at four o'clock in the morning. So three
forty five is when the alarm went off for that.
I think that's the reason why Dylan McDonald is still
getting his beauty sleep. Wake God, Dylan, I don't know
if you got the wake up pall or not, but nonetheless, no, listen,
(14:56):
I've enjoyed it though. It's been fun and we're ready
to decide he's going to be the champion here. Obviously,
we've got another championship race to decide for Sunday night.
That's gonna be at Homestead, Miami. But right now, all
eyes are watching the trucks and Nigel kin Newman go
for the for the trifectare, or go for at least
the Infinity truck sweeping. Is anybody ever done that before
(15:20):
in Australian Nascary sports.
Speaker 5 (15:24):
No, they haven't.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
He's the back to back champions so he'll be.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
Going for three championships in a row. You're going for
the hat trick if he does get the winds night
and we look at David Laura and and Lauda has
four minutes thirty minutes prepared and that truck, so he'd
be struggling to make it. We'll back out, not back
out there, but he'll be struggling the whole time, making
any earspacked in the race.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
But he's still dropping down there.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
Holdsworth, Oh, gets up there close and yeah, David Lauda
has been a good season for him. He's got a
couple of good top ten finishes this year, massive improvement.
He's gonna better and better eat traits raight. So it's
great to see David and the project that he's six
car out there and hopefully we seem back next season
as well, as.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
You said, trying to win another championship. Obviously doing a
phenomenal job right now. Brad Newman, Yeah, Brad Newman, board's
right there hanging with him though.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
How about how about.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
Aaron Bord got to give him props right, I mean,
he's right there in that second position. One wrong slip
and could get to capitalize on if there's still a
long way to go on this thing here.
Speaker 3 (16:27):
That that that there is and Aaron bog will be
one there if he does get a caution, he will
be one to watch on these race starts. Didn't quite
get the stunt that he wanted there on the on
the opening lap, but once we get back onto if
we do get that yellow, look out for the forty
three truck, I think he'll be one to watch.
Speaker 8 (16:43):
He is.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
What was my tip for the not to win the
championship with the forty three.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
So let's see what happens here in lap thirty one
fifty We've still got one hundred and twenty laps to go.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
Look at us trying to a three wide hang on baby.
Right in the middle of the dog leg on the
Bonzi is Riley Curtis going after the five machine of
Barber and Richard on the high side of the ninety one.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
A very very black hell of the truck there on
Andy Barba.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Now it's black and black.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Andy was made.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
The announcement is his last stop in the Israelian Escar
series for a while. He's gonna focus on these other categories.
And he's also the number one starter in the series.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
So we oh wow, wish Andy Andy all.
Speaker 5 (17:34):
The best in his future. Racing Davis.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
He's in the most starts in the series and he
was a twenty twenty three X.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
Series champion as well, so it's.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
Good to see him Andy one last time racing Groan.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Yeah, you kind of mentioned Barber. He has the all
time starts at one hundred and seventy six tonight counting
tonight here at Phoenix, one hundred and seventy six career
starts Tonight got two wins, forty two top fives and
ninety five top tens. Obviously, leading up to the start
of this race, Brian Blundell right behind him at one
(18:08):
seventy four. Jason Holdsworth at one time was leading at
the all time lead list, but now he's fell back
to one seventy three. Stephen Williams won twenty six and
Tim Blundell with one twenty five. Tonight Brad Newman, by
the way, look anna win the championship. He picked up
his Infinity Championship of the BMGX series on Tuesday in
(18:29):
his one hundred and fifteen start, and right now career
starting one sixteen is looking good for the band of
the Lobbsey Sports number one and right now he is
clearly out in front. Here's the thing though, Nigel don't
have an opponents, doesn't have his teammate Jared Philsll helping
him like he does on the Tuesday series. Phil Cell
(18:52):
not lining up to race tonight, and obviously it's all
it's all Newman though showing his strengths of the number one.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
I think this also does show that how the clean
air makes a massive difference here at Phoenix as well.
And just last Lef alone, he's doing about one to
two tenths of love quicker than Aaron Borg at the moment.
But all we need is that one cause, and there's
a caution that's going to come out. It will happen
in the next fifteen to twenty lamps as these try
to start get a little bit looser and start to
slide around a little bit, so we might see something
(19:22):
we may not as well, but the food spread out
of the moment. Just see what happens in the next
twenty to thirty laps.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Zach Kurra on board with him. By the way, big
thanks to night trow Racing, night Tro Racing, Oval Setups, Cup,
Expindity Truck all that are required of the Australian Danscury Series.
Join the garage on the Discord channel, Nightro Racing join them.
(19:53):
Need to help with setups, contact them and we're glad
to have them be the sponsor of the Nintro Truck
Series this season.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
And that's the good thing about the series is here
here Wesley, is that we can all.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
The setups from all the setup shops do work within
the series, and but we work alongside.
Speaker 5 (20:12):
The official schedule all the whether.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
All the conditions are.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
Exactly the same, so there's no no advantage anywhere.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
Everyone has the same conditions.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
To work with and it makes more of a playing field.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
So for those out there that are watching out there
thinking about I would.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
Love the race in this series, but I'm not too
sure about the open setup, Well that's they haven't folks.
Speaker 8 (20:32):
Anybody can join the series and be fast.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
I love traffic.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Yeah, So basically you get a setup from them and
let them have at it and learn everybody's kind of
on the same level play field if you will.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Basically that's one hundred percent correct everyone, No matter what
setup shop you decide to use, it's all the playing
field and everybody then can work during the week during
the officials did and get a little practice and.
Speaker 5 (21:05):
Yeah, it works well for everybody.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
Turks, glad you're joining us as cookie monster. Zach Kerr
rocking it on his helmet, doing really good, trying to
run down it looks like bored for the second spot
(21:36):
as it was.
Speaker 8 (21:37):
Yes, it.
Speaker 6 (21:39):
What next for hearing there?
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Will he get around it? That's the question, Ryan, I mean,
that's that's It's one thing to run somebody down, it's
another thing to get around them.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
And that's right as well as and also tell you
where we sitting behind him saving these tours as well,
because we'll get about seventy five lives. So this could
end up being just a one stole price if we
do stay green because hath pH Cup series they predict
that Brad and even victory it is not, so we'll
see how that one goes.
Speaker 5 (22:09):
Think that's Harry Taylor.
Speaker 4 (22:11):
I think that might be at the top.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Of my head.
Speaker 4 (22:12):
Dime he thunk some rices for this this year and
hopefully he joins us next year as well.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Heading already a forty laps in of this thing here
about to be a hundred one third of the way
through if you count him in fifty lap increments one
hundred laps to go one hundred and ten remaining right
now Newman and Borg whole curR in the wall trying
to get around Aeron Borg for that second spot, and
(22:45):
Zach curR eats the wall. I don't wonder how much
damage is on the nexus swell Ford not much as
he reels back in Borg, but a big move down
there in turn three to try to go after the
second spot.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
Massive.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
He looks like you're gonna try to get that pass done.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
There on the inside of the car coming out of
Pete right, Dave Douglas is just sitting there as well as.
Speaker 7 (23:08):
Well as as Lula came out.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
Finally, Lula's back out there to run back out the.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
Who Zach Okay, that was interesting.
Speaker 6 (23:21):
Bringing Tave Douglas in the plant. Now say he comes to.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Dave held on to it, made a good spot and
now Tave Douglas right there trying to run him down.
Three trucks for second. Oh and by the way, Brad Newman.
(23:44):
He's got about a five and a half second lead.
Over all this going on, you can't even see the
rear end of the number one truck, that's how big
of the lead he has right now.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
He's watching two tens laps quickly.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
For the rest of the foods, maybe the one to
watch the lad run Handy Mandy's ties them too light
and I might want.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
To see you if you catch up in the next
twenty to thirty laps. Might be something to watch out
for as well.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
Going on board, they would Diave Douglas, whoa big.
Speaker 4 (24:14):
Lewis kind out of the corner.
Speaker 5 (24:16):
Of the edd by the twelve car.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Last race of the year. Right now, these guys doing
a phenomenal job binding their p's and q's. The three
truck bottle for second continues of most six seconds behind
the leader of Brad Newman. That's Aaron Board, Zach Kerr,
Dave Douglas going at it. Throw Barber in the top five.
(24:46):
Then you got Lamb Lawford, Freer, Davis Barber and Kude
Dowe back there in the top ten. As it stands,
if you're thinking about the manufacturers of for your top ten,
you've got three chevro Lakes by four Fords and three Toyotas.
(25:09):
But a problem for Tom Frere. The synergy number forty
one will trigger the caution for the first time in
this race on lap number forty seven. Here it is
coming off the front straight away and just losing it
below start finish. Just lost it.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 9 (25:31):
Four.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
That's that Tom Frime. Then he's trucks.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
We're gonna get loose, And unfortunately for Tom Frere, he
comes around to take the atitune forward, come down and stop.
Phinis Slank comes around him. We see our first caution.
See it well down, heat down pitt Road.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
Yep, yeah, I gotta fill them to see everybody coming
down to the pit lane, and even Brad Newman and
give it up that big seven six seven second lead
he had and now everyone coming down to pitt Roll.
We were told that they could go about seventy five
laps on a tank of fuel. So let's just say
(26:06):
we've gone about fifty laps so far. So here's the deal.
They're gonna have to come back and pit again because
if they go another seventy five laps, that would only
be around lap number one. Twenty five. So still with
twenty five remaining, we could see green flag, pit stop,
(26:29):
stop and go for fuel or of the good or
we'll see another caution and then they come back down
to the pit again. Go ahead, notgell No.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
I was just gonna say that this is might work
into the favor of Aaron Ball he'd be out of
make it right two oh noes that Kurt just got.
Speaker 5 (26:47):
Out of head.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
But that might work out a Kaidov he's right behind
Brad humans with the jump of the start saying he
gets that inside laying coming into turn number two.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
But was just gonna say, you had to.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
Make some adjustments to those trucks to hopefully counteract the
differences between him and I and Brad and Newman at
the moment.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
So a caution out here with about one third of
the way through and the championship raks. There's a look
at again the four drivers from the Round of eight
final that are battling for the championship and right now, Man,
I have to say it, Nigel, it has been all
Brad Newman. Man, listen to this. Came down on the
pit lane first. Let dominated the first we've had what
(27:33):
forty nine laps. Now he dominated the first part of
the race, leading all the laps. Comes down pitt Lane,
first exits, first leads. Now it's been all number one
n P one in truck number one, looking for being
the number one champion when the night ends here and
that's Chevrolet entry for Lobbsy Sports.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
One hundred percent and unfortunately for Jayson Holdsworth, he's one
that he can probably hap to regret like he at
the moment. Maybe he's got a little bit of damage
fixed on it.
Speaker 5 (28:07):
Thanks Rich, that's been a race.
Speaker 4 (28:12):
Radio coming over and say sorry, go quite distructed boy.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
But back under way, green flag, inside the O'Reilly restart
zone and back to it again with one hundred laps
to go in the race. So if you break this
down into three fifty laps segments, your first fifty laps
(28:41):
are done. Here comes now the second fifty right now,
Newman continuing to show his strengths up in the top spot,
right down leading the way. Boy z that Kerr with
a big sin there, boy, that could have been some
big trouble and he's got Aaron Borg right behind him
and he wants second back. Here comes the dog leg
(29:02):
and the bonside move into the corner.
Speaker 5 (29:08):
The Jason Newman is on.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
Now they can remember the history between Brad Newman and
that curved in the past and see what if this
doom reunites once again.
Speaker 6 (29:17):
Just to let you know, Holdsworth did not go down
a pit road during that pit stuff that during that
caution at all, So he didn't fix anything.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
And I'm understanding Jason Holdsworth in the number eight machine
did not come down to the pit lane for any work.
He has yet to pit.
Speaker 6 (29:35):
Yeah, it doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
I think he was a lap down and he did
get his lap back, but he said to Tellen of
the fields. Yeah, and then he fell a lap down,
went for the free pass obviously, and or or he
was a lap down and waited for the waive around
and then he got the lap back doing that.
Speaker 4 (29:58):
Yeah, he did go to a lap Dan.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
I did say right to pasting man with three laps
before the course and come in.
Speaker 5 (30:04):
I'm not too sure Brad pasting and causing.
Speaker 4 (30:08):
Bama get bit if you're right on one with Boba.
Here at the moment, my screen's just going blank. I
can't say a thing.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
Oh boy, there we go.
Speaker 5 (30:19):
I'm back.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
Well right now. Ryan Barber sitting him in the number
four spot, and by the way, three of the four
championship drivers now in the top four chasing Holdsworth yet
to pit took a wave around to get the lap back.
Still damage on the number eight as the ball again
that they could.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
Oh no, not just going from bad to rush to
have for the notre Atka.
Speaker 5 (31:03):
Heavy damage.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
They with a tough break there.
Speaker 5 (31:12):
You can catch an two question now.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
When Newman last laps twenty one twenty seven point two
one for that curve twenty seven point four to three
two ten to second of lap.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
That just shows once again how clean air is king
around here.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
And it's literally just it's totally worse than the truck
for any other car as far as the clean air goes.
Speaker 4 (31:33):
The truck is terrible.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
In dirty as there's one of these robbers. We'll have
to think about during out the race.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Yeah, that certainly will be a topic of discussion if
you will. As you mentioned, still a long way to
go in this one. It's right now, Newman holding onto
the top spot. Now zach Kerkr up to the number
two position. Borg and Barber by the way track tamp
(32:05):
around eighty three degrees air tamp and the seem about
seventy eight degrees clear conditions when the northeast at two
miles an hour, humidity at eighteen percent. This was a
real race like last week at Phoenix, Nigel perfect racing conditions,
perfect race, perfect night race.
Speaker 4 (32:26):
Right under cent. It wasn't a great race to watch
as well. I went down a little wire.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
I'm not sure if anyone's seen the photo with six
seven eight wide going into one of the race starts.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
Is that?
Speaker 1 (32:41):
Oh yeah?
Speaker 4 (32:41):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (32:41):
I asked.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
That was one hell of a rice to watch as well.
And whoa Who's Barber's wachs?
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Was that the five of Barber? What a bonzey move
he just made the black number five. I think we
got in on the replay. Watch this, everybody, don't adjust
your sets. Yeah very is. Watch that last lap, that
last slap coming here a moment ago, and you're gonna
see that crazy bond Si move he just made, and
(33:10):
he's out to go out and do it again.
Speaker 4 (33:15):
It's put using the dog leg to your advodage a little.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Bit of history repeating.
Speaker 7 (33:21):
Is that any bobby getting past too, any.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
Bobby being past, don't pretty out in the naughty one.
They're only different Liveries to not the Southern Stars car.
Speaker 5 (33:35):
As we see.
Speaker 4 (33:37):
Straight down again.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
M Yeah, man, I'll tell you that five put him
into your highlight reel because he has made something moves.
Oh yeah, I watched short Circuit to the other night.
As a matter of fact, Niel, now you hear what
(34:03):
we have to put up with usually in behind the scenes.
Speaker 5 (34:07):
It's now we must think that he doesn't rigage.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
I can't complain about it. I just laugh. I think
it's hilarious when people hear us in broadcast motive then
all of a sudden we just pause and laugh. It's
because of our producer in the background.
Speaker 5 (34:30):
Yeah, it's great the background.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
If everyone doesn't realize he does paint, it's a lot
of information, Mike, because not a little bit easier as well, and.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
Terribly wrong with that.
Speaker 5 (34:42):
A year today, everything's gonna be okay.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
He's incredible.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
I had to have to be going great to go aboard.
Speaker 7 (34:49):
Well, Miley, everything's gonna beat all right.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
Yeah, we go, we're going on. Are we going on?
Three years working with each other? Thing? It feels like yeah,
I probably yeah. Nonetheless, the biggles that you ever getting
into old exactly and Barbara nowl in the five, continuing
his Bonzai talents. There's the other Barber, Ryan Barber. He's
(35:15):
the guy running for the championship, and he sits in
the number four spot right now on the racetrack.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
As we saw in the cup Rice dealing off, it's
not over until across the Phillie line. Are what happened
to Hamlin. He had that Rice wand in the right.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
Light, coming of his life, race of his life. In
my opinion last Sunday, I ain't got nothing but love
from my buddy Kyle Larson, right, nothing but love for him.
But you know, there are rules. The rules separate the
(36:00):
people from the animals in NASCAR as well, and that format,
the way it's presented, really took the.
Speaker 4 (36:13):
It took a.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
Championship again away from Denny Hamler, and I was, and
I was, I really wanted to see him win for
his dad. Okay, more on the personal level, I know
his dad's really bad off, sick, and man, I just
I would have loved to have seen him get it
for his dad. But there's always next year, and there's
(36:34):
always this one. Tonight, as we are closing in on
the halfway mark of this one for the truck the
Night tro Truck Series Championship with the Australian NASCAR Series.
There's a look at the four drivers bottling and where
they are right now. Look at the scoring ticker. Three
of the four right now in the top four. Where
(36:57):
is Holdsworth way in the back? Hold It's worth back
in seven eighteenth, Nigel, your friend just not having a
good night here till I did that number eight machine.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
He's having a terrible not to not bad luck's running.
He's a wife not being shocking. He was, he was,
he said, with his rice awake and I'll put the
hiccups just hang on a second.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
Gods, stop drinking sprite? Did they have that in Australia,
Dave Douglas And it did. And he's going after Barber
there by the way, somebody in the chat box chiming
in and they said an eye quote. Andy Barber is
just like his father, sneaks up from behind when you
(37:41):
don't expect him to.
Speaker 7 (37:43):
There you go, he's in front. He needs to sneak up.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Ryan Bryan's actually up ahead. Yeah.
Andy Barber's back at eighth. So, speaking of this battle
between all sleep, we see it going on on the
racetrack with Barber and Richard and Freer. Well, I'll tell
(38:10):
you what. Brad Newman has already opened up over Zach
Kerr almost one point seven seconds the interval now between
Newman and Kerr, Borg and Barber two and a half seconds,
(38:30):
four seconds back for third and fourth to the leader.
Man's on a mission, Nigel, and the one truck's doing
just that right now.
Speaker 4 (38:41):
Well, I'm on a mission too.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
I've just ran to the other hand of the house
to grab myself a drink and I'll run.
Speaker 5 (38:46):
All the way back and I'm now right to go. Man.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
That was so what we cut it into. That was there? Static?
Speaker 6 (38:51):
Was there?
Speaker 1 (38:52):
Just you know, you didn't realize if you got connection,
what traffic wireless? I had the hiccops, I got you
just have your wife scare you have a cow, scare
you dairy farmer. Wow, trouble And he spans Holdsworth many
(39:12):
times up out of the wall, this time stuck in
traffic and the eight one of the Championship four having
a nightmare here in Phoenix. Again in the eight Toyota
catching out for the second time.
Speaker 4 (39:24):
Also that, wow, what's happened to you?
Speaker 1 (39:30):
Have a look at the Nigel, here's something to think
about to us. We look at the rapt Barber. Oh man,
is that one of the Championship four? I think it
is Ryan Barber? I think in the in the Holdsworth.
Speaker 5 (39:48):
Wats this again?
Speaker 1 (39:52):
Said all right, buddy, Yeah, my way's judged.
Speaker 4 (39:55):
I think he's judged the fate of the night.
Speaker 1 (39:57):
Wow, Douglas just missing on the high side. All right,
So here's my question, Nigel. We're heading to lap seventy five,
we're heading the halfway of the race, and we watched
the replay one more time between Barber and the aid
of Holdsworth. There's the head. Oh yeah, that ain't Troe
Toyota around. Who's gonna come to Pitt Rod? They're all
coming down to Pitt Road and I had a feeling
(40:18):
they were because this could really be the money stop
with the rights, they could go the distance if we
don't have it over time.
Speaker 3 (40:28):
That that's correct, and they can also come down Pete
Rye put another set of ties on this will Lot
give them one set of green white checker ties as well,
So we're gonna see them coming down Pete roadan one
of bradon Ewman's that care in the twelve and got
the forty.
Speaker 4 (40:41):
Three of Aaron Ball.
Speaker 3 (40:42):
The ones we gonna start keeping eye on those are
these ones in the watch and see where they come out.
See if Aaron Bull can make up any positions.
Speaker 7 (40:49):
You gotta take long, will could take less ties. I'd
take less gas and ties just to get ahead.
Speaker 6 (40:54):
In human you did say that.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
Track and we were talking about two.
Speaker 4 (41:01):
Nouri You on the lawn?
Speaker 7 (41:08):
No, how about the race off the show?
Speaker 1 (41:13):
Current trouble guys, the twelve off the base? Here did
he speed out of pitt right?
Speaker 4 (41:20):
I think you have sped out?
Speaker 1 (41:24):
Did he get a penalty?
Speaker 4 (41:25):
Yep?
Speaker 3 (41:28):
I think so, speeding on Peter flow into the lawn
of the twelve.
Speaker 1 (41:36):
There it is penalty on the number twelve, who had
a really good, solid run in this race earlier, no doubt.
Now now obviously behind the wall. Here, here's a look
at it one more time. Look at that curve. Speeding
on Pittling or exit.
Speaker 4 (41:56):
I think it takes it takes it.
Speaker 7 (41:58):
Watch gonna be exit. It comes out really quick?
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Yeah, sure did? Wow, boy, you don't want to make
that mistake, do you? Oh my my, my, my my, wow. Yep,
there it is. Yeah, you could have been greedy but
that's hey, you're busted.
Speaker 4 (42:20):
The pressure, the pressure of it, Wesley.
Speaker 3 (42:23):
That the one color of Brad Newman if you want,
and even Aaron Bull these cars at the front if
they want track to this, and they gonna try to
push the limits wherever they can. As we go down
the back straightaway, Pace Cou's gonna go off. We're gonna
go green this time, Bine with only seventy three laps
to go.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
Yeah, the race is just in the second half as
well as Brad Newman and Aaron Borg feels like they've
been stride for stride at least to the top two
positions all night. Still a long way to go here.
They come back into the restart zone back cut their way.
Second half of the championship race here in Phoenix is
(42:59):
on for the night broa Truck Series.
Speaker 6 (43:04):
I'm play at the launch in fact on the David
Duble d He's gonna go for it.
Speaker 1 (43:07):
What a launch by the number one of Brad Newman.
Yett again and he pulls away quickly from Aaron Borg
and Barber. By the way, watch the scoring pylon. You
see the drivers in green mean that they're advancing their
positions and red means are falling back, just like on
(43:29):
the NASCAR scoring ticker of Real Life. And now we
see Douglas. What a good run for him, Ninjely. I'll
tell you what, man, give this guy a full time
season next year. I believe this guy is gonna be
championship material in the night tro ten to four of
Dave Douglas.
Speaker 4 (43:47):
Oh, I think you will be as well.
Speaker 3 (43:48):
I think he's playing on running both at full time
next season in trucks and the Infinity. He was doing
Comentry Dudy's, Him and Matt Danson were doing the trucks
last season, which was one hell of a live everybody
enjoyed it. But now he's going back into the I
think if you want to watch, he was really struggling
early on this season. In late last season as well,
he just wasn't enjoying it. The results weren't coming the
(44:08):
f for the effort that was being putting in. But
all of a sudden, now he's decided that note Unfortunately,
he's his time to flyers now as Jason Holdsquare's back
down here, Rod Aaron Dorman had a Aaron Dorman had
a drive through as well for restart infringement. So I
think there he's he's yeah.
Speaker 4 (44:27):
I had to go for a drive through.
Speaker 3 (44:29):
Is Zach Kurtz making his way through the field there
making a pass on Andy Bart Steve Andy Bather goes
right down on.
Speaker 4 (44:34):
That inside and when he goes back down he turned
one once again.
Speaker 1 (44:39):
Remember that Kerr on the league lap. But he did
have to suffer a penalty at the tail end of
the field for obviously speeding on pitt Lane. Took the
took the took the penalty, took the the pass through.
If you will there it goes Davis, Jamie Davis. That
only two four. There he goes Tom Frichard right behind him.
(45:03):
That's for seventh and eighth on the racetrack Lincoln again,
boy oh boy, hey Nigel, Uh, if we could play
with our or if we can interact with our audience
in the chat box, if you can, mister Dean, I
think there's a way you can create a poll in
the chat box.
Speaker 7 (45:24):
Oh nice, can you do that?
Speaker 1 (45:25):
And the and the and the question is in the
chat box in the poll question when we pop it
out on the audience will be who do you think
will win the championship? Four of three drivers? Because it's
looking like right now Jason Holdsworth is out, he's on
pit road again. So of three drivers, the one, the
(45:49):
forty three, the one ninety four in the pole question
in chat that's gonna pop up in a moment. Who
will win the championship her tonight at Phoenix, not the
race that's just icing on the cake. Who's gonna win
the war? Who's gonna win the night trow Australian Truck
Series title. Is it the one of Newman, the forty
(46:12):
three of Board or the one ninety four of Barber?
The pole question will pop up and when it does,
please vote.
Speaker 5 (46:22):
As well.
Speaker 1 (46:23):
Richard's got that carve died mean hard on the bottom
along with Barber on the inside. And there's a wed
to create a pole question, I believe. I think there's
a there's a way of doing it right.
Speaker 4 (46:35):
Yeah, the reason unfortunately I had that quick.
Speaker 1 (46:39):
It's gonna have to be dating to do it.
Speaker 4 (46:42):
But at the end of the day Age Dylan McDonald
has joined us in the booth.
Speaker 10 (46:46):
Dylan, welcome, Nigel Leslie.
Speaker 1 (46:51):
Dylan, you're late.
Speaker 2 (46:57):
Daylight saving So.
Speaker 7 (46:58):
What do you want to ask us again?
Speaker 1 (47:00):
Well, the question that I asked in the chat box
was we're down now to three drivers for the championship.
Who will it be? Will it be the one of Newman,
the forty three of Boorg or the one ninety four
of a Barber. We're down to three drivers because pretty
much mathematically Chason Holtsworth is going to have to settle
for not even the cow the number four position in
(47:23):
the championship. Tylan, it's been in all kind of Brad
Newman night. He won the bmg X Series Championship on
shoes tonight. Now he's trying to win in the trucks
that he has dominated this thing. As we're in the
second half of this race, lap number eighty eight of
one hundred and fifty, and man, there is only sixty
(47:44):
three laps to go on the season.
Speaker 10 (47:48):
You can see now everybody just trying to do everything
they can. They're using that dog leg the way that
is that it is intended to use it as it
is all open, no grass at Phoenix International Raceway. As
we're looking on board with Ryan Barber taking that little
bit of a shortcut you could say, going into tours
number one and two on lap number eighty nine of
(48:10):
one fifty, and everybody's a little bit spread out. They're
not all bunched up. That's the way that phoenix kind
of goes. But once everybody gets bunched up once again
after pitstops or they start catching up to cars that
are on the older tires, that's whenever they can start
doing their little dancy dance and get themselves back up
(48:31):
into the frame of a passing or trying to get
away from other cars, trying to be in that single
file position.
Speaker 1 (48:41):
I'll tell you what, Nigel, But as you being a
driver yourself, this is the point where, with sixty laps
to go, you start hearing every clink, every rattle. You
start looking at your gagees. You're seeing what the if
you slide across the racetrack. You're wondering if your tires
are going out or airs given away. You're wondering if
(49:03):
you got enough fuel in the tank, if there's a
chance at overtime. The the the mindset you have to
be in virtual or reality is pinging right now for
especially all three of these guys, not just Brad Newman,
but poor Game Barber two. If you're gonna try to
win the championship, well that's corrected.
Speaker 3 (49:23):
The cup race that happened Sunday night, The difference between
two and four ties, but the difference between the championship
with the eleven.
Speaker 4 (49:33):
It could be the same heeds and not.
Speaker 3 (49:35):
You could make two ties, you can make full times
in the last time to get tracked with this dream
white checker, you may win the race.
Speaker 4 (49:41):
So every little lap counts right until the end.
Speaker 3 (49:44):
There's no way of de solving who's gonna win this
race until that checker flags out, pulls up.
Speaker 1 (49:53):
Poll is up, and right now it looks like it's showing.
Speaker 4 (49:58):
Well.
Speaker 1 (49:58):
I don't know how long the poles stay open, but
right now Brack and Newman. Brad Newman is leading. Right now,
of six people that have voted, Brad Newman has fifty percent,
Aaron Borg with thirty three, and Ryan Barber seventeen percent.
But uh well, I'll tell you what, Dylan, What a
(50:20):
job for Newman. I mean, he's dominating this thing. Man,
he ain't looking back, and obviously he has just got
everybody in his sights behind them. Nobody has even been
able to make any charge whatsoever to the one. And
if there is anybody that's gotten to try to catch
him up, they're playing possum, mister McDonald. They've better unveilid
(50:44):
now and get to the front here in a big
hurry times running out we got to lap one hundred.
Speaker 4 (50:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (50:49):
Absolutely, everybody just trying to hold positions, see what they
can do. They want to get those new fresh tires
on their car. You can see just the different lines
that they're taken into turs number one and two. You
can see double d all the way up towards the
outside wall and turns umber one in two. A lot
of drivers hugging that yellow line in one and two,
and then other drivers running that middle lane in one
(51:09):
and two, and then obviously different lines in three and four.
Want to get as close as you can to that
inside wall getting into the corner, and then coming off.
Speaker 2 (51:18):
Of the corner, you want to be up by that
outside wall.
Speaker 10 (51:20):
Then cut all the way back down across that little
bit of a dog leg and just a little bit
of wide.
Speaker 2 (51:28):
Arcing into the corners.
Speaker 10 (51:30):
You can see just how much time Dave Douglas lost
a little bit of track position onto the number one
ninety four of Ryan Barber, but he makes it up
coming off of turns number three and four and through
the dog leg. Is just how much highware do you
want to use? And try to catch up to those
race leaders and see if they can break them up.
Speaker 2 (51:50):
As Dave Douglas part of the.
Speaker 1 (51:52):
Outside wall, and what a tough break there for Double D.
The Nightro race and entry. Something about the Nitro trucks, Nigel,
we saw it happen the Holtsworth and now Dave Douglas
with problems, but he does continue along and we stay
green as we had to once a century grind a phoenix.
Speaker 3 (52:10):
You see Tom Freer, I'm making to come back through
the field, back into the top.
Speaker 4 (52:14):
Fave the little Spinelli, the coach of the three one is.
He's beings angles littlepan in there as well.
Speaker 3 (52:19):
Angus Lipan into the top pop as though he's getting
better and betta every week and next season I'm expecting
big things out of that fifty three truck.
Speaker 10 (52:33):
You can see their Tom Freer trying to make a
move on Angus Lawford not able to make the past
double D of Dave Douglas. Now looking down to the
inside of Tom Freer, the number forty one. Give that
spot back to Dave Douglas. He's going to start running
that inside lane. Tom Frere, he's just riding around. He's
not in the championship hunt after last week. But now
(52:57):
he's gonna look back for the rebuttal down in Turgber
three and four on Dave Douglas.
Speaker 1 (53:02):
Tom Frere with problems earlier in the race and the
Senergy forty one and now comes Douglas Bonzai movie. Boy,
you gotta love that part of the racetrack, right, you know,
back in the day, Buddy, back in the day, guys,
you know you didn't dry Phoenix that way whenever the
front straightaway was on the back straight away like it is.
Speaker 7 (53:21):
Whoa.
Speaker 1 (53:23):
And now now you got this totally reconfiguration of the racetrack,
and boy, they take advantage of the dog leg. Remember
back in the day before the track was reconfigured, Nigel
and and Dylan, you avoided that dog leg. You tried
to stay below. He did not try to go on
the apron.
Speaker 4 (53:39):
You not.
Speaker 1 (53:40):
Now that's that is a that is a fair game
move that you could take advantage of. You can use it.
Speaker 10 (53:48):
Absolutely, especially with the older configuration of Phoenix. You know
you had the grass, you had a rumo stripped.
Speaker 2 (53:54):
Down there, could never wanted to go down there.
Speaker 1 (53:57):
Have a caution, yellowfly Griffiths is in trouble in thirty six.
One of the Project thirty six entrees and caution is
out here.
Speaker 5 (54:11):
I got loss of the Todds. Do you take that
loss of the TOZ. Now that's gonna be the.
Speaker 7 (54:18):
Oh he's going around, oh garn.
Speaker 5 (54:20):
Around by himself.
Speaker 3 (54:21):
That's it's gonna be a strategy co applying we're right
out right now.
Speaker 5 (54:25):
This is gonna get interesting.
Speaker 1 (54:26):
Guys, Hey, you know what in two and I'll say this,
some guys are pity not all, but some are. Lawford's
in Freers, in Douglas, barber Wright and Pritchard coming down
to the pit lane.
Speaker 7 (54:43):
I'm not the Championship three, Championship three daling.
Speaker 1 (54:47):
They ain't going out and they're not pitying. They're staying
right where they're at right now under fifty to go.
Speaker 10 (54:54):
I'm thinking with the top three, obviously all three are
championship drivers are waiting to see if they get another
long run or if they're going to have a quick
caution back to back and then use those tires to
have them at the end of the stage, kind of
like what we've seen in the truck the Infinity, in
the Cup Series championship races. They want to make those
tires last as long as they possibly can. Is looks
(55:16):
like Aaron Dorman he's going to be able to get
his lap back. As these three championship drivers are going
to be one through three, but it's all been Brad Newman,
Borgie sitting in, Peterber two, Ryan Barber in.
Speaker 2 (55:29):
Third, Zach Kerr in the number twelve sitting in fourth.
Running out top five is going to be Jamie Davis.
Speaker 7 (55:35):
So a lot of drivers us those.
Speaker 10 (55:40):
Pit stops to their advantage, but these top three, they're
thinking track position is going to be key. They want
to use that last set of tires if they need
them and don't want to be cut out looking like
a sitting duck coming to the end of this race.
Speaker 1 (55:57):
Now they're as close to eight people, they're close to
thirty people watching the race, and we've only had eight
people vote. And I really love to see the other
thoughts of the other twenty unless you're Switzerland. But right
now it is a dead heat out of eight votes
between Brad Newman and Aaron borg Ryan Barber. I think
(56:18):
it's got maybe one or two votes or maybe one.
That's that's it. We are going to close the polls
when we come back to Green so if you have
not voted, please vote, vote right now, vote right now.
Let us know who you're picking. And I see Newman's
name continuing to trend up. I mean it don't take
It's not that hard to vote right, I mean just
(56:40):
taking time to click a little button there.
Speaker 7 (56:42):
And Nigel, we're being interrupted.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
We're being interacted. Were audience right, we're interacting with them, well,
not the drivers. We don't want you to Simon drive
right with seven texts talking about the audience of people watching.
All right, Dylan, we're ready to come back. The Green
Man still forty five to go here in Phoenix for
the championship race forward.
Speaker 10 (57:07):
They hit that restar zone and Newman gets a really
good jump. You can see the top four or five
get a really good jump on the rest of the field.
Speaker 2 (57:14):
But it's gonna be brad at Newman.
Speaker 10 (57:16):
Getting into turns number one and two, single TWI four
or five towards the back looking like the truck race
almost making it work.
Speaker 2 (57:27):
Douglas gets hooked to the outside.
Speaker 10 (57:29):
Another quick caution gonna come out and a lot of
Project thirty six car is gonna be involved in this one.
Speaker 1 (57:38):
Oh my goodness, Barber and Project thirty six looks like
Coutte Dallas caught up in in other ones and Dave
Douglas again, Nigel, we had a feeling it was coming cautions,
free cautions, but you got five wide. Look at this move.
Speaker 3 (58:00):
Fred Laval involved the ninety three trump, Riley Curtis teammate
on teammate. Wow, it's a big pile up of cards.
But what once again, who comes down pitt Road? Who
takes ties? Who doesn't take toys? Who's gonna keep that
to the ties at the end of the right, Oh
it's Johnny. You're gonna start to play out now.
Speaker 4 (58:19):
Now I think this is going to play into the
hands of Aaron Bulg.
Speaker 1 (58:24):
Aaron Bord gotta wonder. Look at this again, five wide,
that's there it is. And you know Dylan mentioned the
old Phoenix where that part of the track was. It
was grass and you didn't want to drive on that.
And now look at that boy all the way the
bottom of the apron four and five wide. Oh my goodness, Wow.
Speaker 7 (58:44):
No championship drop is no Unluckily, hold your breath.
Speaker 1 (58:48):
Right there there's the contact barber into one of the
Project thirty six trucks of Lawford and then all of
a sudden, as you said, Dylan, it all come undone.
Several trucks they're still not done crashing. Boy oh boy.
Speaker 10 (59:04):
Yeah, that really looked like the Friday Night Truck Series
where you know, Corey him took the leaders wide to
take the lead off of time of Jeschi and they
obviously they all made it out of that corner.
Speaker 2 (59:18):
But in sim it's just a little bit different.
Speaker 10 (59:20):
You know, you had people on old tires, you had
people on new tires, and that's where it's gonna be
the bigger difference.
Speaker 2 (59:26):
Who's gonna have a little bit of a patience to.
Speaker 10 (59:28):
Get around all these drivers that are on the older
tires to make your way all the way up there
towards the front. Just ran out of real estate for
the number ten machine of Dave Douglas ended up getting
caught up into that wreck. But anything can still happen, right,
You still got forty seven laps to go, forty six
laps to go Intnight's race. Still the top three are
(59:52):
going to be the championship four. Well, actually, excuse me,
top four going to be the championship four with Zach
Kerr being the one odd man out.
Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
But it's all about the restarts.
Speaker 10 (01:00:03):
Are they going to be able to capitalize on the
restarts that Brad Newman has gotten. You've seen how quick
he was able to pull away on that last restart,
But to see if Aaron Borg can time these restarts
just a little bit better. And one thing that goes
through a lot of these drivers' minds is once you
get to that backstretch like this right here, you got
all this time to wonder when he's gonna go. You
(01:00:24):
got to try to be on that queue to see
when Brad Newman calls the change.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
He's that guess put or to start this race again.
Speaker 7 (01:00:32):
Put Bogey in.
Speaker 6 (01:00:33):
Front of the pols.
Speaker 1 (01:00:34):
Not done yet, Brad Newman ready to bring him back
to Green. As it looks like now some of the
tides have change, Aaron Borg now being showed as the
man that could possibly be the guy by the boats
to win the championship. But Newman will not be denied
another flawless restart over Freer, Overcerr, over Borg and Barber
(01:00:55):
and yes Freer as well in the top five. As
they got back into Green into.
Speaker 10 (01:00:58):
Two, they getting back in their three wide at towards
the bag. They're gonna get this one. I think that's
Brad right yellow Brian Blundell, Oh.
Speaker 1 (01:01:13):
No, it's right in Blundelle crashing Brad right into the
outside wall the eighty six. Nowhere to go, caution out, wow,
Nigel cautions, preed cautions, and I think patience has gone
out the window. With under fifty to go here at Phoenix.
Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
We always said earlier on the price is gonna hate
up now as the lap start has turned down a
bit of a boring first half of the rice, but
it's all starting to light up now they're telling how
you win and Brad Root he's not looks like it's
going to be done. After that incident there Roley Curtis
there on his inside there they just no room.
Speaker 1 (01:01:55):
Just literally Dylan ran out of room, slammed of the outside,
say for Barry, and then Blundelle had nowhere to go
but take the blunt force from the nineteen.
Speaker 10 (01:02:05):
Yeah, that's always a tough position that you're in, right
the car on the outside, you think that you're gonna
make the corner and then that safety barrier just comes
up just a little bit too quick on that outside.
Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
You can see it there.
Speaker 10 (01:02:17):
Everything's good and then all of a sudden bam pancake
the outside wall. Get you a little bit of flapjacks,
put some maple syrup on it and you got yourself
a little short stack. As Blundell goes for a little spin.
Nothing too bad? Can you get that damage fixed? Does
it look too bad on the rear end or the
driver's side? Same with Brad right on that passers side.
(01:02:37):
But with it being Phoenix, the aerodynamics are really going
to be the make or break of that race car.
As we have the playoff standings up there on the
round of A four. You can see him there, Ryan Barbara,
Aren Borg, Jason Holdsworth and Brad and Newman. Jason Holdsworth
the only Championship four driver who has put it up
(01:02:58):
on the trailer for the evening, Brad Newman in p
number one, Aaron a Borg in third and Barber in fifth.
So you got the championship drivers one, three and five
in Wes.
Speaker 2 (01:03:14):
That actually helps out.
Speaker 10 (01:03:15):
The other two championship drivers right, They're gonna be able
to get a good and better launch on that inside
if they go single or if they go double file.
Speaker 2 (01:03:23):
But if they go single.
Speaker 10 (01:03:24):
File, it could all be up to how you get
through this next restart.
Speaker 1 (01:03:31):
Here's the deal. There's a choose rule right that's going
on right now. And if if Newman stays to the
inside and Kerr stays to the outside, which we're seeing
you see now Aaron Borg right behind him, except Tom
now Freer went to the outside, so that opens the
door to Barber outside. So yeah, right now, the big
(01:03:52):
winner here is Newman and Borg. You see them right
there right there on the inside. Stay with him. Race
isn't over, not by a long shot. I went by
the way these three drivers, Dylan have been up into
the top five. It feels like the entire night since
(01:04:15):
we came on the air. As the field. We'll get
ready to come back. Pace truck gets on Payce car
onto the pit lane. Here we go back underway. Let's
settle it here.
Speaker 10 (01:04:26):
Yeah, green flat conditions back out on the race track.
You see there, Aaron Borr got a really good restart.
He's gonna be able to get back around as Zach
Curry's going to be down to the inside in turns
of one and two. He's gonna get clear. That's gonna
allow Tom Freer to try and follow a suit as well.
At Ryan Barber go straight to the tip top and
then here comes Zach Kerr.
Speaker 2 (01:04:46):
He's not gonna be denied on that outside.
Speaker 10 (01:04:48):
He's going to try to make it around the hard
way on that outside and see what he can do
and see if he can take away the race lead
from Brad Newman. As everybody still fanning out three four
five wide. As we take lab number set.
Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
That move from Kerr down to the inside, Tom Frere
now today's Tom Frere moving now to the number two spot,
showing his strengths, clearing around Borg and Kerr and Davis
Barber free falling. Here comes printing on the inside of
his teammate, Nigel. I'll tell you what, Nigel, I'll tell
(01:05:25):
you what, Man. It just seems like Newman is just
in a different area code than anybody else. I've watched
it during the entire race. We're seeing it on the restarts,
We're seeing it on just pulling away from everybody. Anytime
you think you're getting to the one, he puts it
in like stealth mode or he's saving something. Right the
(01:05:47):
night driss is on and he pulls away from anybody
that tries to catch him.
Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
I think it's the clean end of Wesley. I think
makes the difference as well. We're gonna come up to
a lot of com very surely, will see if Tom
freaking building to that late a little bit there once
the dirty a comes onto the car is blinking out
again with the Jamie Davis.
Speaker 5 (01:06:07):
This is something to watch out for as well.
Speaker 1 (01:06:09):
And I think that's how the inside I spoke too
soon dealing Tom Freer going to the lead on Newman
as they work out four.
Speaker 2 (01:06:17):
Yeah, and there you go there, yep, go ahead, Sorry, Nigel.
Speaker 3 (01:06:21):
No no, I was just gonna say, there's the key
right there, a little bit of dirty and there for
the one truck of Brad Newman, and all of a
sudden then it's rice on him.
Speaker 4 (01:06:29):
Let's see what varon Bulgan?
Speaker 3 (01:06:30):
Do you see if you can now come back into
the pitching now that Brad Newman's now behind Tom Frere,
and there.
Speaker 1 (01:06:36):
Is a lamp truck up ahead of the leader also.
Speaker 6 (01:06:39):
Up free again Baba side by side, but that's Andy
not not.
Speaker 1 (01:06:44):
Not Borg and Barber battling there. All this going on
is we're three wide again, Dylan going back into the corner,
and all the while it is now Tom Freer. I
think I I think I put my foot in my
mouth there, but I made that comment that everything's worked
flawless for a new until now under thirty to go
close it up on it, and now Freer it's the
(01:07:06):
new leader in the forty one.
Speaker 10 (01:07:09):
Well, now that everything has cycled out west, the top
three at the time, which were all three championship contenders,
did not take the opportunity to go down to the
pitt lane. So those old tires are really costing them
as of right now. You don't have to win the
race to win the championship. It's going to be the
championship driver in front of the other two championship drivers,
(01:07:30):
right so Newman is always going to be watching the
relative to make sure or asking his crew chief or anybody, Okay,
where's Borg, where's Ryan? Where are they at relatively to
him on the race track? Right now it is Newman
still with the lead in the championship hunt.
Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
But you can see it there.
Speaker 10 (01:07:51):
Those are older tires not wanting to be up there
towards the front, and everybody just trying to do everything
that they can get around these tires, get around the
tree with the older tires, and then I think, now, Wes,
if we do have a caution with thirty laps to go,
we're gonna see those last three championship drivers come into
(01:08:11):
pit lane, get those last set of tires, and then
it's gonna be a whole different rodeo going through these
last thirty laps.
Speaker 1 (01:08:17):
There's Borg by the way, Borg and Barber. Now the
furthest back. I'll tell you what. As we close it
on thirty laps to go, Nigel Sidel, this is the
this is the furthest back. We've seen Borg and Barber
right now and even for that much part Newman as well.
Speaker 5 (01:08:34):
Back to third, I.
Speaker 4 (01:08:36):
Mean Davis getting the pasta on there on the I'm
gonna go on.
Speaker 5 (01:08:40):
I thought this is the carrage.
Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
Wow, Foster well into the top five bullets dropping off
very very quickly. I wonder what if he's got a
little bit of damage on that cant it just he's
ties our shots.
Speaker 4 (01:08:54):
So yeah, we're stilling.
Speaker 3 (01:08:56):
I wouldn't rule them out yet though, if we get
a green white checker, I wouldn't rule anything got just yet.
Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
The poles are now showing there. The poles are now
showing Brad Newman forty one, Aaron Borg forty seven percent,
now Dylan as they work.
Speaker 7 (01:09:14):
Back in the three and win four close to.
Speaker 10 (01:09:21):
Yeah, I mean Wes is definitely going to be a
nail biter, you know, like you know the poles going
back and forth.
Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
They want newman now was Borg.
Speaker 10 (01:09:29):
All you need to have is just a little bit
of tuck the wall.
Speaker 2 (01:09:33):
As there it is.
Speaker 10 (01:09:35):
Oh, no championship implications for the one ninour.
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Of Ryan Barber.
Speaker 10 (01:09:43):
Yep, I'm not sure how bad the damage is going
to be on that number one ninety four. It looks
like a little bit of a crinkle on that right front.
Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
The second championship four driver snake bit here or he
touched the cactus and he's got stung. Watch this again.
Barber Holdsworth was the first. Let's see what happened to Barber?
And there is help. Oh no, that's.
Speaker 7 (01:10:07):
Chooch Oh that ain't gonna buff out.
Speaker 4 (01:10:12):
I think.
Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
Sorry, that's David Lawler. My apologies. Those trucks look all
the same. It's David Lawler with Project thirty six. They're
dealing no man.
Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
Such a tough break for Ryan Barber.
Speaker 10 (01:10:27):
He was in the clear of the number one thirty six,
but with the newer tires of the number one thirty
six getting into the corner, just a little bit harder
than the number one ninety four. He was able to
get in there. As all three championship drivers are gonna
go in to to oh Borg stayed at ouch as
(01:10:48):
Wes could be different here.
Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
Yeah, I don't know if I agree with that. Boy.
I'm telling you what Brad we you know, Dylon Nagel,
we saw what happened with what guys like Brad Newman
and and and even Barber for that matter, before he's
fun you know, as the tires wear off, right, I
mean you could see that they were easily sitting dugs. Now,
Freer does not pit, neither does Davis or Barber or
(01:11:14):
even Pritcher Dal. They all stay on the racetrack. But
here here comes now the point, guys, here comes the
championship four and some other men coming onto the pit
lane ready to go for the money stop and the
last one of the season for that matter.
Speaker 3 (01:11:30):
Twenty five laps to go. He Aaron Bog He's rolled
the doss he started at. He's gonna keep that set
of TOAs until.
Speaker 4 (01:11:36):
The very very last open Ken.
Speaker 5 (01:11:39):
He's thinking there's gonna be another caution.
Speaker 3 (01:11:41):
As long as he's not in that caution, everything he's
on track if Aaron bog but all he has to
do is try to keep Braden Newman behind at the
moment as heavy damage on Ron Barber and Jason Holdsworth
now has pretty much ended the notts as far as
playoff championship, Guys, is gonna go great right now.
Speaker 7 (01:12:01):
Close the poles right now, So lost chance, last.
Speaker 1 (01:12:04):
Chance to put in your votes because the poles are
closing here with twenty laps to go, you got four
laps to get it done under twenty five remaining, and Dylan,
I gotta fill in. The fireworks are about to be
gleat begin here. Boy, now you got to see four
lit It's go time. Patience is out the window, friends
is gone. It's time to look at what you gotta
(01:12:24):
do to win the race, or win the championship or
even both. Back under way, we're green.
Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
Yeah, back at green we go. And you know, with.
Speaker 10 (01:12:34):
The amount of drivers that decided to pit, it wasn't
that much of a difference for Aaron borg Is he's
stuck right in the.
Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
Middle of it.
Speaker 1 (01:12:41):
Three wide.
Speaker 10 (01:12:41):
He's gonna be three wide with Coute Dell and it
looks like shoots on the outside.
Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
He's gonna drift up the race track just a little bit.
Speaker 10 (01:12:48):
Everybody be able to make it through and still gonna
be three wide looking for full try.
Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
No, they're still crashing. His Borg gets into another man
of Riley Curtis, and they crashed again into the wall.
Caution it out.
Speaker 10 (01:13:11):
Oh, championship implications three another championship driver.
Speaker 1 (01:13:18):
Three out of four have now had problems. Here it
is we're three and four wide, Nigel, you can't do
that in this part of the track. And look at
Brad Newman just easily sliding on by. Coute Dow down
on the inside in the five of Barbor gets into
(01:13:39):
Dow gets into Lawford and then Curtis into the fence.
Speaker 10 (01:13:45):
Another look coming again, Coute dw just know where to go.
He didn't know what to do, obviously, a slower truck
down on the inside, just slid up just the tiniest
little bit caught Aernborg.
Speaker 2 (01:13:58):
Thankfully Borg didn't.
Speaker 10 (01:13:59):
Go up for the outside wall, but comes right back
down into uh Blundell. He's going to be up there
towards the outside wall and man oh Man, Yeah, Newman's
just just a clear path down to the inside and
he just squeaks on by and my oppoll championship we got.
Speaker 1 (01:14:19):
I said that it was the ninety three of Riley Curtis.
My apologies had happened so quick. That was the eighty
six of Brian Blundelle that ate the outside wall in
the wrong direction after he finally stopped up against soft
turned four's nine degree banking. Oh boy, Nigel, this is
(01:14:40):
exactly what we figured. It was going to be a calm,
coal collected rice until probably under fifty to go, and
the fireworks have been lit since probably about lap one ten.
There's a recap and Tom Freer now leading this Rice buddy.
Speaker 3 (01:14:57):
Is Aaron Bulks and Peter Ryd probably a little damage
on that coin of Peaks. He be hoping not to
go a lap down. He can still, he can still,
he can still win this. I didn't think there'd be
too much damage on that car.
Speaker 4 (01:15:11):
I could be wrong.
Speaker 3 (01:15:11):
Now he's gonna go a lap down now.
Speaker 4 (01:15:17):
Ron heavy damage, but you know he could be back
in it.
Speaker 1 (01:15:21):
It is Brad Newman's championship to lose right now, audience,
Ossie mates and maties. Bottom line, Dylan Newman is in
fifth and sixth. You've got these other guys back behind
the top ten there it is Barber and Borg. They
are twelfth, sixteenth and obviously Holdsworth is out of it.
(01:15:45):
Lights off on the pace car. It's onto the pit lane.
We're coming back to green here, twenty laps to go.
When they hit the O'Reilly restarts on.
Speaker 10 (01:15:56):
Yeah, and that's music to Brad Newman's ears as we
get to go back to the green flag racing Tom
Freer gonna let us back to the green. All that
Brad Newman needs to do is just be patient, don't
put himself into a bad position to get himself in
caught up into an accident.
Speaker 2 (01:16:13):
Here, he's going to run the inside.
Speaker 10 (01:16:15):
He's got a little bit of a distance between himself
and Ryan Barber as he's going to just run the inside,
be nice and patient. Doesn't want to put himself into
a position where he gets caught up into a wreck.
As the Barber on the outside gets hard on the
outside wall, he's going.
Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
To be able to keep it straight.
Speaker 10 (01:16:33):
But he's got some distance between every other championship driver
as he's the only truck in the Championship four with
no damage on that number one machine, Ryan Barber's got
a lot of rear in damage and then obviously Aaron
borg that last caution, he sat at Pitt Lane to
get that damage fixed.
Speaker 2 (01:16:49):
He's going to put himself one lap down if a
caution comes out.
Speaker 10 (01:16:53):
Aaron Borer could still come back and be in board
on this race. As everybody still double file, maybe even
possibly three wide coming off for number three and four.
Speaker 1 (01:17:04):
Look at the truck scatter and Newman now fires back
off to p three. He's gotten Kerr and Pritchard behind
him flip flopping for spots as they worked their way
down to the max strade away and now Newman begins
his assent to run down the ninety two for Project
thirty six of Davis and Nigel. Remember Newman new tires.
(01:17:28):
I think that's why we're seeing the number one shiro
lay coming from that cushion caution trouble on the racetrack.
Slee Davies, Lee Davies, Yes, Sir Lee Davies, the green
machine of the zero four point fourteen, putting us under
another yellow fla against the eighth one of the night
with under twenty to go, Lee Davis. Oh man, is
(01:17:55):
that is that barber who he slammed into?
Speaker 7 (01:17:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:18:02):
Oh what was with that?
Speaker 5 (01:18:03):
Wow?
Speaker 7 (01:18:05):
That was Ryan Bible, wasn't it.
Speaker 1 (01:18:07):
Yeah, I want to say it is. That's Ryan Barber.
That's one of the championship guys. Once this again, whoa
what I mean, why why would you do that? Man?
Speaker 7 (01:18:21):
That sounds like beef to me? That's like beef boy.
Speaker 1 (01:18:25):
That's one of your championship guys right there. And you know, Dylan,
we were talking about the number forty one Tom Freer.
Remember Tom Freer did not make the Championship four last
week in the race at Rockingham, if you remember, he
couldn't make it in did everything he could with all
his mic but he missed the spot. And he's the
(01:18:48):
number five, right, he's guaranteed to finish fifth in the points,
but he's trying to make a statement here that hey,
I should have been one of these guys up here
fighting for the title bottom line up in the front.
Speaker 10 (01:18:58):
Oh absolutely, I mean Tom Freer, he's had one hell
of a year, got a couple wins knocked off of
his belt. Here he's going to be on the outside
looking in for the Championship four. He tried to do
everything he possibly could last week at Rocky Gham, just
didn't come full circle. And then obviously he got looks
like Davis in p number two.
Speaker 2 (01:19:20):
He's had a good season.
Speaker 10 (01:19:21):
He made it all the way up to the Championship
eight and then Zach Kerr a little part time driving
that number twelve. He's trying to make a statement too.
But to see Tom Freer have the conviction that he
has now leading this race, what a storybook ending it
would be to that number forty one machine to come
out win the last race of the season and be like, hey,
(01:19:43):
maybe I didn't deserve it, but I can still compete
for wins whether or not I'm in the Championship four
or not.
Speaker 1 (01:19:54):
There's the race recap and we're closing in on under
fifteen laps to go. Leak change. By the way, that
was when Brad Newman got passed by Tom Frere with
about thirty laps to go. Tom Frere has not looked back.
And there's the one of Newman right now. Fourth Nigel,
(01:20:17):
it is his championship to lose, right everything, Listen, there
is a there is like just people poking the dolls
of the other Championship four competitors and right now the
hecks is working for Brad Newman and he's just hoping
everything needs to continue to fall my way. I don't
(01:20:39):
have to win the race. Listen, he can save face.
He just got to be ahead of everybody. And that's
exactly what he's doing right now. Holdsworth is out, Borg
and Barber areway in the back of the top fifteen,
top twenty. Right, we're going back to you Green.
Speaker 3 (01:20:58):
And don't forget to Aaron Bogs on five lap fresh
attas here than Newman. So I just remember keeping off
for that one as well. Is uh also I remember
we gonna remember that Jimmy Davis is flashing really badly.
Speaker 6 (01:21:13):
Yeah, that's gonna be a little bit of a brain
pain for Newman.
Speaker 1 (01:21:16):
Backing away crank flag boy, what a race start for free?
Speaker 10 (01:21:21):
Or you got Arenborg all the way back there in
the back the five making a really big dive. He's
going to pick up a lot of positions and to
put himself up there. And then you got Brad Newman
kind of laying back a little bit, letting everybody get
it all figured out. See what he could do. He's
going to be done on that inside. You can see
it there.
Speaker 2 (01:21:41):
The top four, top five gonna be single file as.
Speaker 10 (01:21:45):
Airboard in the number going to be battling back there
towards the back.
Speaker 2 (01:21:51):
But it's going to be zach Kerr.
Speaker 10 (01:21:53):
Going afore the race lead another lead change number two
on the racetrack, Tom for Tonto battle back down inside,
not gonna be able to be there, and it's gonna
be all nothing but twelve leading the lap all the
way around to this racetrack. Eleven laps to go, Wes,
anything can happen. What's gonna end up happening for Borg?
(01:22:15):
Is he gonna have enough time to catch up to Newman?
Speaker 1 (01:22:17):
No? Newman just saving face right now, as I mentioned,
he's back into the fifth spot. Look at now zach
Kerr having the opportunity to lead. He's now got Tom Freer.
I think the tires are gone on Freer. That goes
Barbering Company. And now there's Ryan Barber another one of
those guys with Borg right behind him. That, by the way,
is in the top fifteen fifteen, sixteenth on the racetrack.
(01:22:39):
If you want to go for a championship, you better
go now, Dylan, because time is running out. Ten laps
to go. Zach Kerr leads the battle. The man that's
leading the war is Brad Newman, a fifth in the one.
Speaker 10 (01:22:53):
You see there Zacher has really opened up that big
gap for the race lead.
Speaker 2 (01:22:58):
And then there you see it more.
Speaker 10 (01:23:00):
Of our playoff drivers back here towards the back board.
His truck seems to be a little bit off pace,
same with Ryan Barber's. They're not gonna be up there,
but you can see you there. Calm cool collected for
Brad and Newman currently running a fifth doesn't have to
worry about winning the race, just has to be in
front of the other championship drivers. He is nine laps
(01:23:21):
away from collecting that championship here on Thursday night for
the A and E Truck Series as he's got Trelavella
going to try to make a pass on him on
that outside, but it's all Zach Kerr with about a
eight to nine truck length gap over a second position.
Speaker 1 (01:23:41):
Naje, what do you think? Is this a smart thing
that Brad Newman's doing? Right? Don't get greedy, don't try
to sweep the whole thing if you will. Right now,
just looking at the bigger picture of hand, and that's
trying to win the championship and he's doing exactly what
he needs to do to put that into fruition.
Speaker 3 (01:23:57):
Think sorry and I think with the CA up just above,
with him and Jimmie Davis having a few connections, this
shes he doesn't want to get tangled up there at
all and getting involved with an accident at all, and
no send too.
Speaker 5 (01:24:08):
He doesn't gonna remember.
Speaker 3 (01:24:09):
I think Aaron Bold does have an extra sit of
todds if he starts going green white chick uts.
Speaker 4 (01:24:13):
So don't rule that one now today that you just
just yet.
Speaker 1 (01:24:17):
So you're saying, don't hold out on with forty three,
he might have something up his sleeve. Right seven now
make it six slaps to go. There goes that curR.
He is praying that there's not a yellow flag. Tom
Freer looks really good on the restarts, but except that
time Dylan Kerr got around him and he ain't looking back.
The interval now almost a second and a half on
(01:24:39):
Freer as the field works their way again and turn
number two.
Speaker 10 (01:24:43):
Yeah you see it there, Coup Tew down on the
inside of trent Levale. He's trying to make a pass
and work his way back up there towards the front.
Riley Curtis Curly sitting at P three a nightral racing
uh Carr left standing out here at Phoenix International Race
and they're right.
Speaker 2 (01:25:01):
In front of Kuta Dow and Trey Level.
Speaker 10 (01:25:02):
It is your championship leader of the one of Brad Newman.
He's got a little bit of distance between himself and
Kuta Dow.
Speaker 2 (01:25:10):
But once these.
Speaker 10 (01:25:11):
Drivers get it all figured out, which they did get
single file, they're going to be able to catch up
to Brad Newman. And I think Brad Newman may just
get out of the way. He'll notice that they're a
little bit quicker than him and he's going to get
out of the way.
Speaker 2 (01:25:22):
Let them go, let them do what they need to do.
Speaker 10 (01:25:25):
And Brad Newman four laps away from championship pay dirt
here in the truck Series.
Speaker 1 (01:25:32):
So Zach Kerr continuing to do what he needs to
do to stay in that top spot. There he is
in the NEXTUS number twelve. And it hasn't been easy.
Remember he had problems earlier in the race where he
literally got into the wall, smacked the wall, had damaged,
battling with other drivers, had to work his way patiently
around the racetrack. Right now, Zach Kerr is leading the way.
(01:25:55):
Tom Freer, by the way, only the second lead change
of this race. As there you see the twelve working
his way down the back stretch, Tom Freer, Riley Curtis.
Time is running out. Does anybody got anything for the twelve?
Much less the fifth? The number one in fifth of
Brad Newman, Tylan McDonald. Two laps to go, buddy, take
(01:26:18):
us to the finish of the final two miles of
the season of the night Church Truck Series.
Speaker 10 (01:26:24):
Yeah, all nothing but clean air for the number twelve
machine of Zach Kerr. Second place is gonna be Tom
or Freer as we get a nice little look on
board on that number twelve machine. Just one more quarter
away and we're gonna be able to have this race
and under regulation off turns number three and four for
the finals or for one more time around. Is gonna
(01:26:47):
be Zach Kerr in the race lead. It is gonna
be Brad and Newman with the championship peers. You gotta
make it four more corners as Kerr one more time
around turns number one and two ran a fall this
race once he got up there towards the front, But
it's gonna be Zach Kerr through three and four for
the final time in the AI Season two Truck Series.
(01:27:10):
Zach Kerr is gonna win at Phoenix for the final
time this season. Second is gonna go to top three
or third Riley Curtis. Fourth is gonna be Jamie Davis.
In running out your top five and your championship winner
here tonight is gonna be Brad Newman in the one
sixth qt Dallas, seventh, Trent Levels, eighth, Lawford. Ninth is
(01:27:35):
gonna be Aaron at Dorvin. In running at your top
ten is gonna be Andy Barber. As we get a
nice little look at our championship winner, the number one
of Brad and Newman, Zach Kerr both gonna be able
to burn it down here at Phoenix.
Speaker 1 (01:27:51):
How about that Zach Kerr picking up the win struggled
early nine Tel if you remember and it had problems
hit the wall, he was gonna be really not a factor.
Puts that Nexus number twelve forward f one fifty in
victory lane to in the season. And if that wasn't enough,
Brad Newman has not only won the bmg X series
(01:28:14):
title on Tuesdayny and look at me, he knows where
he's going. Exit right, please a fine victory lane, Nigel.
We saw him do this on juesanight and Brad Newman
is about to do the exact same thing. He's about
to parking in Victory Lane and he is now won
(01:28:36):
two championships in the same season of the Australian Nascari Series.
You're Nitro Truck champion Brad Newman.
Speaker 3 (01:28:49):
To back championship for in the in the number one trunk.
Just don't forget I'm great drafting on by that made
the possible accounts to go to Victory line as well.
Speaker 1 (01:29:01):
Now I gotta ask the question. Is Brad Newman in
the championship four for the finale the in the Sunday
NASCAR National Series, a NASCAR Australia National, so they could
try to go for the hat train eighth.
Speaker 5 (01:29:14):
Again? Yes, that's correct.
Speaker 1 (01:29:15):
Wow, unbelievable. Well, the celebration on for Zach Kerr and
Brad Newman, Dylan is you got the results here tonight
from the finale for season two of the Trucks here
at Phoenix.
Speaker 10 (01:29:30):
Gonna run down our post race finale here is gonna
be Zach Kerr with Nexus getting the race win here tonight,
Tom Freer in p number two third in running out
your top three is gonna be Riley Curtis. Fourth is
gonna be Jamie Davis fifth, and your championship winner is
gonna be Brad Newman sixth, Cot Dowll seventh, Trent Level eighth,
(01:29:53):
Angus law For ninth, Aaron Dorman. Running out your top
ten is gonna be Andy Barber eleventh, tim Or Tom
Richard twelfth, Tim Blundell thirteenth is gonna be Brad Right fourteenth,
Brian Blundell fifteenth, Aaron Borg sixteenth, Ryan Barber seventeenth, Brandon Griffiths.
Speaker 2 (01:30:13):
Running out your top eighteen is gonna be Zach Blundell.
Speaker 6 (01:30:18):
Hey on, hay on, here on, I'm trying to solve something.
Speaker 1 (01:30:20):
Yeah, yeah, looks like the rest of the finishing order
there is gonna find uh Yeah, there you go go ahead, Dylan,
we got the rest of them.
Speaker 10 (01:30:30):
Nineteenth, there's gonna be David Lawler, twentieth, Dave Douglas twenty
first is gonna be Lee Davis. In Running out your
twenty two car field here tonight is gonna be Jason Holdsworth.
Speaker 1 (01:30:40):
Hard.
Speaker 10 (01:30:41):
That's gonna be yeah, very very heartbreaking, especially for Jason Olsworth,
who's really looking forward to Phoenix International Speedway.
Speaker 2 (01:30:48):
But that's gonna do it for the race here tonight.
Speaker 10 (01:30:51):
We're gonna go cut over to a quick commercial break,
get everybody's voices back in order, get some liquid going
down our throats to cure our voices, and get back
with the post race interviews with the top three and
then our championship winner here tonight, and we'll be right
back after these short quick messages.
Speaker 7 (01:31:14):
It's so hard to show to it once.
Speaker 6 (01:31:17):
Sorry, I was trying to talk to the developer as
well too, because I'm trying to sort some software issues
out in the background.
Speaker 3 (01:31:22):
What we're gonna do, what we do for this year
is we'll do the championship three, do the first second, third,
then we'll do the Coude I daw who's rookie vas,
We'll do him, and then we'll do Bright.
Speaker 4 (01:31:36):
At the end.
Speaker 5 (01:31:36):
So I'll just drag everyone in.
Speaker 2 (01:31:38):
Okay, fuck daily savings Tione. By the way, I wake
up to a message from Dean. Wakey, wakey, It's like,
what are you talking about. I'm good, I'm good. Like
I even said a picture of the broadcast.
Speaker 7 (01:31:53):
Yeah, that picture you said, and it was fair.
Speaker 1 (01:31:55):
Then I asked them, yeah, but see you forgot. It
was actually four daylight savings time for us. It's four
o'clock now.
Speaker 4 (01:32:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:32:04):
Well, I mean like I was like, hang.
Speaker 5 (01:32:09):
On, hang on, Gus, hang on, what we'll do.
Speaker 4 (01:32:11):
We'll do.
Speaker 3 (01:32:12):
Let'll just tell all the others we'll do first, second,
third out of the rice. Then I'll speak to code
and then we'll do Bright at the end. You boys
do the interviews all into you Q day and then
you guys can do Bright at the end.
Speaker 11 (01:32:24):
Okay, God like love five four three two one, and
we are back here with the an A Truck Series
post race interviews.
Speaker 10 (01:32:35):
Gonna be starting off with a race whatever Theo's gonna be,
Zach kerrz Zach and up.
Speaker 2 (01:32:39):
And down race here tonight.
Speaker 10 (01:32:41):
But you were able to get settled in and got
the lead back off of Tom Freer late in the
race and you just didn't look back. You gotta feel
kind of good about that, getting the final race of
the season with a win. And see what you can
do coming up next season if you decide to run
full time.
Speaker 6 (01:33:07):
Zack, you needed a moment.
Speaker 7 (01:33:09):
Oh maybe you can hear a sec You'll have to unmute.
Speaker 5 (01:33:17):
We've lost that covet.
Speaker 10 (01:33:21):
All right, Well that's gonna be our second place finisher
of Tom Freer.
Speaker 2 (01:33:28):
Tom, you were so close to having it there, getting
the race win.
Speaker 10 (01:33:33):
Obviously missed out on the championship for this week, but
you had a strong race all the way in and
through this championship race here tonight. What more did you
need to get that good restart on the number twelve
and hold him off to get that next race win
on the season.
Speaker 12 (01:33:50):
Not have said it to it would have been nice,
but outside of use them a little bit early, so
that is what it is. Driva is pretty poor. But
luckily I had Briggsy in swinging spinners for me tonight
and making changes under caution, and yeah, we made the
car pretty good at the end. It's just it's just
a shame it didn't go green. But yeah, look I'll
(01:34:11):
take a second. I've been pretty terrible tonight. I just
sort of arrived really late and tried to see what
we could do. So yeah, seconds. Good congrats to Zach
is a pretty dominant performance, and obviously big congrats to
Brad on winning another title.
Speaker 1 (01:34:26):
Hey, Tom, was tonight maybe a if you will opportunity
to say, hey, look, you know, don't count me out,
because I know you just missed making it into the
championship four. But obviously it's got to be a momentum
builder for what's to come for next year for the
forty one.
Speaker 12 (01:34:44):
Hopefully. I feel a little bit gutted I didn't make
a championship for I felt I did everything right. Talladego
ran really competitive and got through the front and probably
had a chance. It's either a good result or a win,
but obviously Talladega is Talladega, and things happened. So he
got through there and lost a lot of points. And
then Rockingham was just a total disaster. Didn't really put
(01:35:08):
a foot wrong there either, just got caught out and
everyone else's junk.
Speaker 4 (01:35:11):
So it is what it is.
Speaker 12 (01:35:13):
That's playoff racing. And yeah, it was still fun to
be here tonight and have a strong run, all.
Speaker 10 (01:35:20):
Right, buddy, Well, you know, like you said, you had
a strong run here tonight. You were able to come
away with that second place finish. Obviously you wanted the
race win more than anything, but you got to settle
with what you had. You cut the truckling as best
as you possibly could. But if there's anybody on that
number forty one machine you'd like to give a shout
out to for the final time this season, mister Tom
for your the toy, the chy ugh the floor is yours.
Speaker 12 (01:35:45):
Thank you obviously thanks to Watercraft Performance Center, all the
Synergy guys Works Racing components. They've been with us for
a long time now and yeah they're sticking around again
next year, but it sounds a bit so yeah, just
thanks to them obviously, Thanks all you as you give
up your time and help put this on and yeah,
turn up every week just as much as the drivers do,
(01:36:06):
so obviously a big thank you to you. And yeah,
obviously big congrats to Brad. I've had the pleasure of
racing in this season. In a few races he's got
the better of me more times than not. But yeah,
I guess you know, it shows the talent he has
to go out and keep winning these championships year and years.
So yeah, big congrats, seem.
Speaker 10 (01:36:25):
Well, it's going to be our second place finisher. I
believe we're back with our first a place finish, So
it's going to be Zach Kerr. Zach, you got the
race win here tonight, getting it done the hardest way possible,
you know, obviously having tires float your way and then
you catapulted yourself to at least of fifteen to sixteen
truck car length lead and win here tonight. But what
(01:36:49):
all was going through your mind from start to finish
of here at Phoenix?
Speaker 8 (01:36:54):
I think I was just hif some fun more than anything.
Didn't really plan on racing tonight, but I was free,
so I thought I'd come up in.
Speaker 1 (01:37:05):
I'll tell you what, Zach Obviously, man, you struggled at
the beginning of this race, but kept it off the
wall to get you not serious damage. What was it
like crawing back through the field? And was it pit
stops that fell your way? What got it? Were you
gonna be the guy to win this race here tonight?
Speaker 4 (01:37:23):
Man?
Speaker 1 (01:37:23):
Congratulations?
Speaker 8 (01:37:26):
I just think during the race I slowly made it.
J Justin said it off to having a very eventful
time trow the race going from to Beck and having
all sorts of troubles out the time, so by the
end managed to figure everything out and have a good
truck on the day.
Speaker 10 (01:37:41):
Met well, mister Zach Er like you said, he had
to battle yourself from back to front, front to back
whichever way that you basically had that number twelve machine
going either way. But you come home a race winner
for the final time in the Anty Truck Series. If
there's anybody on that number twelve thatthch she need like
(01:38:02):
to give a shout out to the.
Speaker 2 (01:38:03):
Floor's yours.
Speaker 8 (01:38:05):
Master, thanks to the Next Sea Sports guys, closeband from
Squash and go for Paints. You guys for everything the
broadcasts in all the league and everything and congrets the
bread as well.
Speaker 4 (01:38:15):
On the championship.
Speaker 10 (01:38:18):
It's gonna be our race winner, Zach Kerr getting the
final race win of the season.
Speaker 2 (01:38:24):
Gonna move down to our.
Speaker 10 (01:38:25):
Third place finish show that's gonna be Riley Curtis, the
natural Racing number ninety three. Riley, you've found yourself up
in the top three once again. You got you lost
out on the championship four after last week at rocking Ham.
Speaker 2 (01:38:40):
You had a lot of near misses.
Speaker 10 (01:38:42):
You put yourself in prime position here tonight for a
top three. What more did you need to get towards
Tom Freir to get a second place finish or maybe
even kind of pull yourself up to the race lead
and get that last race win of the season.
Speaker 9 (01:38:58):
Some talent would have been nice, but these other boys
have a little bit more sprinkled on them than me.
But no, it was nice to come away with a
res old. It's been slim pickings this season. So the
fact I was even in contention for the top four,
I was happy with. But a cop t a lovely
migraine last week, so I did twelve laps, couldn't keep
go unpacked it.
Speaker 1 (01:39:22):
I tell you what. Migraine sucked. But I'll tell you
what Riley, what a way to battle back. Man had
some issues kind of like you know, Kerr or or
Freer earlier in the race might have hung back, stayed
out of the way, but man, when it counted the most,
really showed your strengths. Like obviously we saw Tom Frere
do in the runner up spot, your take of just
(01:39:43):
you know, planning for what's to come for next year,
making a run for a championship hopefully.
Speaker 9 (01:39:49):
Yeah, well we'll come back again, see see what I
can do in the trucks. Second in the first series
this year, and I think I finished sixth with the
way it all planned out in this one and was
in with the chance at the top four, which I
never thought I'd even be close to that at the
start of the year. So to be there twice is
pretty good. So we'll see what happens next year and
(01:40:10):
have a crack.
Speaker 10 (01:40:12):
Yeah, absolutely care wait to see what you bring to
the table next season in season number three. But Riley,
before let's you get online here celebrate that third place
finish here tonight with all the boys over at night
tro Discord.
Speaker 2 (01:40:25):
There's anybody are.
Speaker 10 (01:40:26):
That number ninety three machine you'dlad to give a shout
out to before.
Speaker 2 (01:40:29):
It is yours?
Speaker 9 (01:40:31):
Yeah, just all the boys over at NIRO like they
give us rocket setups all the time, and I can't
set up a car to save my life. So Tandy
having some of the boys over there, they're they're good
at it. And the Australian boys like Jace, Josh, Jason Martin, Dave,
Matt Patt and Nigel they all get in and give
you a hand. So big shout out to all them.
(01:40:51):
Got Big Rock Brewing on the car, you boys up
in the booth. Fantastic job every week, and we got
Biggles does a great job on the broadcast last World
to Brad for win another championship.
Speaker 2 (01:41:05):
All right, buddy, that's going to be our top three
here tonight.
Speaker 10 (01:41:08):
Don't go anywhere because we got two more to do,
but there's going to be our top three as Nigel
is going to go ahead and pull in the Rookie
of the Year this year, and Nigel.
Speaker 2 (01:41:20):
Go ahead, take it away, good sir.
Speaker 4 (01:41:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:41:23):
Well, as the start of this season we said we're
going to be giving out a Rookie of the Year
award and the rookie of the year there's one that's
been racing with us for the first time this season
and make it a season past for next season and
some coaching as well. And it's no other than it's
all voted by the commentators. All the commentators from last
(01:41:45):
season and this season had a say in it. And yeah,
cood A Dow, congratulations, you are the Rookie of the Year.
Speaker 13 (01:41:54):
Yeah, thank you, Nigel. Not something I would have expected,
you know, start in the year. I just wanted to
come and try over racing out and I've been enjoying it.
So yeah, thanks thanks to the commentators for picking me and.
Speaker 3 (01:42:08):
You, well, thirty four starts this year, and out of
those thirty four starts you've had, I'm just getting to
my stats, so you've had four top fives and sixteen
top tens, which is an incredible effort in your first
season against some really really good drivers. Coming back next
season and hopefully get better again.
Speaker 13 (01:42:30):
Yeah, definitely, there's always stuff to learn. I've got to
work on my racecraft and a lot of stuff I
need to work on. So thanks for the Nitro Racing
team for the opportunity and hopefully I'll be able to
learn a lot from the whole team. And you're looking
forward to next season, and.
Speaker 3 (01:42:48):
It's an award that we'll give out next season as well.
So all those rookies out there that want to join
the E Series and they are more than welcome. We
do thank Nira Racing for that opportunity and that price,
and it was voted by all the commentators. We all
got together had a little poll and everyone had their
say which was great.
Speaker 4 (01:43:06):
So yeah, well congratulations once again, Kude, any family, friends
and that you want to thank.
Speaker 13 (01:43:12):
Just you guys saw in the booth, Deans for the
camera work, Nige obviously, you and Jason for the behind
the scenes, the p One Racing guys, Mom and Dad
for watching it home. And just want to apologize to
Jason and Aaron for their for ruining their race. But yeah,
thanks Case.
Speaker 4 (01:43:32):
And then we have a Rookie of the Year coda
now and congratulations to him and Wesley and Dylan. You
can interview Brad Newman. Now back to back to back
Truck Series champion.
Speaker 10 (01:43:45):
There, it is the back to back to back series champion.
That's gonna be the number one of Brad Newman. Brad,
you look like the dominant truck all race long. Then
he got passed by time free and just kind of
settled in right where you wanted to be at. You
didn't have any pressure from behind you from Borg or
(01:44:06):
the one ninety four of Ryan Barber. Is that kind
of the mindset that you had there towards the end
of the race. You knew that you had a little
bit of gap on those two. You just wanted to
kind of keep it nice and easy. You don't want
to make those daring moves that Brad Newman that we
know would make, and you just want to keep that
truck clean.
Speaker 14 (01:44:24):
Thanks Matte, Yeah, that's exactly it. In a race like this,
when you just need to finish in front of the
cause when they're having issues, that's all I'm focused on,
just getting the caught of the end safely. It's a
shame that I'm not sure what happened to them, but
would have much preferred to have been racing them, but
that's how they play out sometimes.
Speaker 1 (01:44:42):
Brad, congratulations. Obviously got to call your BMG Xfinity Series
Championship on Tuesse tonight. You locked up this one as well,
and I didn't realize it was back to back to
back three years in a row for the Nitro Truck Series.
But I got to ask you this question. Can you
try to go for the hat trick for the Sunday
Night National Championship Series and try to sweep the year
(01:45:03):
of Australian NASCAR of twenty twenty five?
Speaker 4 (01:45:08):
Thank you?
Speaker 14 (01:45:08):
Yeah, that's the focus. Now Jump's not done yet, so
we'll try for Sunday as well.
Speaker 2 (01:45:14):
See what we can do, all right, mister Brad Newman.
Speaker 10 (01:45:19):
It has been a pleasure watching you on and off
the track each and every single season. Race with you
a little bit last year we had some fun down
there on the racetrack. Now you can officially say that
you are a three time champion in the A and
E Truck Series. It's been a pleasure watching you go
out here and showing off your moves. If there's anybody
on that number one machine you'd like to give it
(01:45:40):
a shout out.
Speaker 4 (01:45:40):
To the floor.
Speaker 2 (01:45:41):
Is yours good sir?
Speaker 14 (01:45:44):
Yeah, thank you, just all of you guys that make
these events possible, the guys that loves esports. Dane throw
off at being in my ear and Ken from Rocker
had a really quick quick truck tonight, so thanks to
him for that.
Speaker 4 (01:45:58):
Thank you.
Speaker 10 (01:46:00):
That's gonna do it for your championship winner here tonight.
It's gonna do it for all the interviews here tonight.
Wes appreciate you coming up into the booth helping me
out for the last couple of races, even though I
was a little bit late here tonight due to daylight savings,
but we got in. We got it all done, one
hundred and fifty laps up and down at Phoenix International
(01:46:21):
Speedway for the final time of the Anti Truck Series.
What more could you want from the championship race here tonight?
Speaker 1 (01:46:28):
West Congratulations obviously he's that Kerr and Tom Freer showing
strings there at the end. Somebody hanging with the one
of Brad Newman. But you know, I got a feel
in Brad Newman said, you know what, I'm looking at
the bigger picture here. I'm gonna win the championship. I
think there were some big changes that happened at the
end that made Newman fall back and say, Okay, I
(01:46:49):
don't need to I don't need to risk wrecking my
truck or getting in an accident. I'm looking at being
the champion. He done that. I had no idea. Now
is three years in a row that he's won the
obviously Australian NASCAR Nitro Truck Series title. But kudos to him.
(01:47:09):
He's won the Infinity and the BMG on Tuesday. He's
done this tonight and obviously we will see what he
can do at Homestead Miami in the Australian NASCAR E
Series Championship on Sunday. I want to say thank you
again to Jason Holdsworth, Nigel Sadel for having me join you,
Dylan and Dean. Dean Hopton much love to him. He's
(01:47:34):
the guy that brought me into working with you guys.
Hopefully I'll be back for another season and man, I
wait to see what happens Sunday. We'll see if Brad
Newman can make history. And Dylan, it's been fun working
with you also, sir. The last couple of weeks from
whenever we've worked on Sundays and Thursdays and obviously congratulate everybody.
(01:47:55):
I think they're all champions in my book. And it's
been a fun year. Hopefully we'll be back next year.
Speaker 10 (01:48:01):
Absolutely where it was very fun to work with you
up here in the broadcast group as well as much
as I possibly could.
Speaker 1 (01:48:06):
It's gonna be a sleep in again.
Speaker 10 (01:48:08):
Everybody go around every single racetrack that we go and
put on the schedule.
Speaker 2 (01:48:12):
O can't to see what happens next year.
Speaker 1 (01:48:14):
Hey, Dylan, Dylan, it's gonna be good for us to
sleep us Americans to sleep in again a little bit,
you know.
Speaker 10 (01:48:21):
Yeah, you know, Thursdays and Sundays aren't gonna be the
same anymore. I'm gonna be not having to worry about
getting up at three or four o'clock in the morning
for until February.
Speaker 1 (01:48:33):
We're gonna purposely wake up. We're gonna purposely wake up
now at three o'clock, at four o'clock in the morning
because we think we're supposed to get up at that time,
and we'll be like, oh, hell, now you're not going on,
let's come back to man.
Speaker 2 (01:48:44):
Then.
Speaker 3 (01:48:44):
Well yeah, just in quick closing, thank everyone for all
their support for the truck season.
Speaker 4 (01:48:49):
In the next series. Also a lot to thank you go.
Speaker 3 (01:48:52):
It's Dylan, Dane Wesley. I hope you all back next
year and we all having you around and.
Speaker 4 (01:48:57):
You're all the welcome.
Speaker 5 (01:48:58):
You'll invited back next yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:49:01):
And to all the families and friends that watch the
broadcast at home, all the drivers who make the effort
to put the effort in every single week to put
the show on.
Speaker 4 (01:49:09):
I can't thank you guys enough.
Speaker 5 (01:49:10):
We will be back next year.
Speaker 3 (01:49:12):
We've got the A and C Race happening Sunday night.
The championship race for that will happen at Homestead. We've
got our charity race in three weeks time, and we're
going to be raising money for November, which is Mental
men's Mental Health, so hopefully we can have a big
turnout for that. There raised We raised one thousand dollars
for the Daytona five hundred.
Speaker 5 (01:49:31):
Let's see if we.
Speaker 3 (01:49:31):
Can double that for two thousand dollars for November in
November and then we'll see everyone in February. But can't
thank everyone enough. To all of our other commentators. We've

Speaker 10 (01:49:59):
As wet at the final results up there on the
screen one more time so everybody else can see exactly
how the trucks ended up finishing here tonight. But that's
going to do it for myself up here on the
broadcast booth with Wesley Outland, my co parter, and then
Dean Hopton controlling the cameras. Ah, it's gonna be a
(01:50:19):
little bit different not being able to say this so
for the final time for the twenty twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:50:24):
Five season, make sure you guys take care.
Speaker 5 (01:50:27):
Rush your hair, not a wrap.
