Speaker 1 (00:00):
One, good evening, everybody. Welcome back to the A and
E Truck Series Season two.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
The penultimate race of the year, right before we go
to Phoenix Motor Speedway. I am your host, Dylan McDonald
with my co host mister Wesley Allen.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Wesley, how are you doing here tonight?
Speaker 3 (00:20):
I'm doing well man the Rock, the Rock and Am Speedway.
What can we say about this place, dude, It's a
special place in my heart. I remember going here as
a kid. I've announced here many times. It just got
this place back up and going with bringing NASCAR and
ARKA back with Exfinity and trucks, and I think we're
gonna see a really good truck raaks here tonight. A
what a what a track to set the stage at
(00:44):
the Rock of Who's gonna go to the Championship Ford
Phoenix next week?
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Absolutely, Looking at the track map there on the middle
of your screen, point.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Ninety seven miles is the distance.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
A lot of banking wes in turns one and two
and then three and four. But if you notice kind
of on that track map to the right one until
you kind of got a little bit of a double
apex going into the corner. Then the straightaway is not
really straight. You can use all the apron down on
the inside.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
You can go everywhere.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
As long as there's no grass, you can go everywhere.
But you gotta definitely watch out how you come off
the corners is gonna be extremely loose, going from the
top to the bottom or the bottom of the top,
and then obviously going down the backstretch, if you get
a little too close to the wall, it'll grab you
then suck you right back out and hopefully nobody's below you.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
But it's the.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Rock you said, it's always your thing that you were
a part of back in the day, and I unfortunately
was not able to be a part of it as
right before I got into NASCAR and got introduced to NASCAR.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
They ended up shutting the track down.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
But being able to relive it all and seeing it
on I Racing is really fun to see.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yeah, obviously this is a beautiful facility. You see thunder
Alley down the back straight away, and you know it's
gone through facelifts of the year's different owners management. And
while we do that and we show you the scenic
of what the track looks like from turn one turn
four camera, there is the playoff standings, and we know
(02:13):
Brad Newman is gonna be racing for a championship. We
were having conversations in regards as now qualifying has started
where Jason Holdsworth, if there's twenty three trucks or less
less than twenty three, he's gonna advance into the Championship four.
(02:34):
But Aaron Boord, Ryan Barber is still wide open. And listen,
there's still guys on the bubble that they could win
this thing or they could have a good race if
one of the front runners fall out. We saw that
the other night of the Exfinity BMGX series. It could happen.
You know, it's still undetermined, if you will, Dylan, who's
(02:56):
gonna go to the Championship four, Except we know Brian
Brad Newman's got a locked.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Brad Newman's been on a tear every single race of
these playoffs. And then obviously you have last week's winner,
Brad Wright. He's not in the top eight, but he
got his first win of the season. And then he
had Jason Holdsworth at finished second place last week at Talladega.
He's got a twenty two point advantage over Aeronborg. Mathematically,
Ahernborg and Jason Holdsworth are locked in. With twenty three
(03:25):
or twenty two or less drivers in the field here tonight,
Ryan Barber is going to be the Oddom man out.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
He's got to.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Be able to get their win and to stay here,
keep hisself locked into the top four. But you can't
count on guys like Tom free or Riley Curtis and
Angus Lawford, along with Jamie Davis. All those drivers on
that bottom four West have really shown a lot of
an improvement. And with this being a short track, you
always got to watch out for that number forty one.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Now you're exactly right, and obviously Tom Freer punched his
ticket into the BMGX Series Final four by literally dumb
luck from a Tuesday night. I mean, the man got
involved in an accident, the only on track accident happened
with him in the early going and he was laps
down from a damaged car. But Dylan, he played the game,
(04:15):
he played the points game. He did exactly what he
needed to do two laps down at the end of
the race, but he still punched his ticket in to
the championship for what will happen here tonight as there
you see the schedule, obviously, We're down to the end
of the road here. Thanks tonight tro Racing and the
Australian NASCAR East Series. Talladega was a wild one last
(04:37):
obviously Thursday night, Rockingham on deck tonight, but ultimate race
as you mentioned, and then obviously next Thursday the title
is on the line at Phoenix.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Yeah, there's definitely gonna be something fun to watch.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Can't wait to see who are going to be our
final four. Brad Newman, strong competitor, Jason Holdsworth, He's going
to be a strong competitor as well. As we see
everybody out here doing a little bit of lapse trying
to get the rock figured out. You see there, Believe
that is Riley Curtis getting some laps in leaps as
he is running the bottom lane west and I know
(05:14):
you'dn't race on I racing, but in I racing, the
bottom lane is the way to go. And then once
the tires start wearing, because Rockingham is definitely going to
shred up some tires. Once you start getting that tire
we're in, you're gonna see everybody running the outside wall
in turns.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Number one and two and then going all the way
to three and four. But qualifying is now over.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Everybody going to be able to get in the truck's
grit up and see what our starting.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Positions are going to be looking like as it is.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Brad Newman with Lobby Sports getting the poll. Jason Holdsworth
for Nitrol Racing, starting outside row number one, Andy Barber
in p number three and the number five, Ryan Barber
in the one ninety four, starting p number four, Aaron
Boord starts off fifth position in the number forty three
to Freer in sixth, David Lawler in seventh, Brandon Griffiths.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
A Nitro racon nith is thirty Trailaville.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Tenth is going to be Aaron Dorman, eleventh, Tom Prichard
and Ronnie Artch Top twelve is.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Going to be Lee Davis moving on to row number seven,
starting thirteenth Matt Raymond Chevrolet number eighty three to his
outside It's double d fnit Tro Dave Douglas in the ten,
row number eight, Timo Blundale and the number four and
cout Tie Doll there in the number fifty five, row
number nine, Angus law third for Project thirty six in
(06:33):
the fifty two. Brian Blundale right there in the number
eighty six machine. We move on to the top twenty
and you'll find the drivers of Mark Grocott. That's Mark
Fluffy grocod in the seventy three, Riley Curtis for Nitro
on the outside flank in ninety three. Rest of the
lineup of twenty two drivers that are grinted and ready
(06:56):
Project thirty six on row eleven finds Jamie da ninety
two and Jared Gilbert in the two thirty seven. Remember
we had to have twenty three or more for Holdsworth
to be under attack to possibly get bumped. It might
be enough here, Dylan, It might be enough here, Dylan,
(07:18):
for Jason Holdsworth to lock himself in to the championship four.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Unbelievable, absolutely, and I don't know if you'd caught it
west on the starting grid of everybody getting thrown in there.
But more than half of the drivers in the top
eight in points that are fighting for the last transfer
spot for the final four are in.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
The top ten.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
You got Riley Curtis, Jamie Davis and Angus Lawford. Those
are the only drivers that are deeper.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
In the field.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
I don't know if that's a good strategy, especially at Rockingham,
to be deep in the field here with a tire
shred of track like Rockingham.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
But if your show a.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Little bit of patience and you work your way through
traffic the way that you need to, anything can be possible.
You just got to make sure you see everything around
you and you don't get over zealous getting onto the
throttle or getting harder on the brakes.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Now you're exactly Ryan is, Brad Newman and Jason Holdsworth
and it's looking like the front row are the two
drivers that have already punched their ticket in. We're ready
to go here at the Rock Dylan, it's goat time.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Getting ready to drop the green flag.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Roh.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
A little bit of will spin out of Jason Holdworth. Oh,
the barber's getting together.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Barber goes around big a trouble lab number one, gonna
keep it green. He was off the racing surface, but
not what Jason Holdsworth, the barber duo, son and father
or son and father duo did not want to see.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
That's another thing that we never really talked about.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
There.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
West is going to be the restarts on cold tires,
especially on that outside. It's kind of like the old Atlanta.
You're not gonna have a lot of grip, but everybody's
gonna be able to keep it clean and green.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
But all ready you.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Can see the damage on the front end of that
number forty one.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
I'll tell you what the Barbers want, Redemption two in
the truck series. Remember what happened at Talladega, right Dylan
last Thursday night. Remember we saw the Barbers one and two.
Of course one was a penalized and in doing so,
it took the win away and it gave it to
the other Barber family member. So it's gonna be fun
(09:23):
to watch and see what goes on. Is right down
Ryan Barber, Brisbane, Queensland, right there on the back straight away.
We're in the early go one and your championship points
five are up there in the top five. As they
worked through three and four.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Jay, you can see you there, Jason Holdsworth wrapping that
yellow line all the way down in turns number three
and four. But it's gonna be Brad and Newman with
the race lead as of right now. A lot of
drivers running the top, some of them running the middle.
You can see there that a little bit of a
double apex you kind of want to drift out up
towards the wall and then cut it back down coming
off of turn number two and get a really good
(09:59):
drive off into the corner. Jason Holdworth gets right up
on that back bumper and turns number three and four,
but can't take any advantage of it just yet. But
these two have already closed up a gap of it
looks like about maybe six truck lengths on the third
place of a Tom Frere in Aeron Borg and p
number four.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Yeah, Brad Newman comfortably up in front right now when
truck one in the Toyota of Holtsworth will follow. Look
at some big moves on the bottom is Aaron Borg,
Aaron M. Borg the forty three another playoff contender, Tom
Freer right behind him. All this going on with a
couple of chevro legs bottling to get in the front runners.
They climb back again into turn number.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
One and turn him back into turn number one. There
you go.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
You got Ryan Barbara on that outside, and he got
two Project thirty six machines. They're making a barber sandwiches
of right now. It's all about finding your line. Which
line is going to be a little bit quicker for you,
and what is going to save you a little bit
tighter As the one ninety four of Ryan Barber getting
a little bit loose on that outside in turn number
three as they come around and take lap at number
(11:03):
seven out of one hundred and thirty six here tonight.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
By the way, this Shrikes track reminds me a lot
of Darlington Wright. The character of this track of the
sand Hills of the Tar Hills State in Rockingham, North Carolina.
Twenty two degrees of banking they're coming off of down
three and four. That's twenty five degrees of banking. The
trioval and the back straightaway known as thunder Alley eight
(11:25):
degrees right now, great racing Top two pull away as
they work him too.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
You can see there Jason Holdsworth's starting to get a
little bit comfortable with the truck in the track. He's
closed that gap on a Brad Newman just a little bit.
But you see they're coming out of turns number one
and two. He got a little bit tail happy, almost
slap the wall coming out of the corner. And that's
another thing you gotta really watch out for. You don't
want to throttle up too much. Get the front end
of the truck super tight and slide up into the
(11:52):
wall a little bit more wheel into that number eight
machine and he'll be good to go on his way
as that time off the.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Turn number one and two, he had a really.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Good exit and he's gonna see what he can do
or is he gonna wait behind Brad Newman and just
save a little bit of tires?
Speaker 3 (12:08):
Yeah? Right now Brad Newman, Holdsworth, Borg and Freer. Right
now the Ford drivers currently that are around the race
track on to the top five. Put now David Lawler
in that mix to the one thirty six. All this
goes on down to the inside watching Ryan Barber now
bottling again going after Lawford. This is a bottle in
(12:29):
the top ten Angus Ryan going at it for eighth
at ninth on the race track. As they come off
three and four.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
You know, Indean Hopton had a really good camera angle
of the back bumper of that number one ninety four.
He's got some middle damage on that rear deck lid
and that's what's causing all that looseness in the number
one ninety four machine.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
He's got a handle on it right now.
Speaker 4 (12:51):
But it's gonna pay off a little bit more as
they go down through Thunder Valley, the Thunder Alley as
Dorman gets a round at Ryan Barber and here comes
Andy Barber.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
He's caught back up to the field.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
He's got a little bit of damage on their truck,
but he's still looking pretty quick. He wants to get
back up there where he was when this race starts.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
At with Aaron Dorman trying to go three wide. There
for a minute, Pritchard right now me the sandwich. He
scampers away from him. Now the number ten of Dave
Douglas is Ford. All this goes on now is here
comes down great bottling, Pritchard, dow Ley and signed Dorman,
Dormant up Hies. They worked their way again on four.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Yeah, Dorman just lets him go on by.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Doesn't want to put himself in a position to where
his race ends prematurely. He wants to finish all these
one hundred and thirty six laps. That makes a difference
in these standings. On your end, even though you're not
in the championship hunt, you still want to be able
to get as many positions gained and get those points
to see where you end up in the final segment
(13:55):
of this season. As just throw a blanket all over
these cars, starting with double all the way back and
you can see you can just jumble them all up
west and see who's gonna come out victorious out of
this second greene.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Yeah, that's Ryan Barmer right now outside the top ten.
He looks to the eleventh spot. Now, Dylan, if you
listen to Winchester on Saturday, you heard my son call
some of the racing Dean. You heard him call racing
with Australian NASCAR. On Tuesday, he got his butt out
of bed in America and he has joined me in
the booth again, sud Good morning, good morning. You like
(14:30):
the trucks, don't you. I like the truck, likes the trucks.
He likes the trucks dealing it obviously. Now we got
a three man crew as obviously we're watching this great
battle going on with David, said Prichard, going again in
three and four.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Yeah, a little bit of bump there from the Prichard
on Jamie Davis got him a little bit loose, but
able to keep it straight. That's another thing that they
don't really want to do. They want to hit each other.
They don't want to spin the rear tires. They're gonna
need those for later.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
In the run.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
But they're still gonna be sided by side. Is cute
dal making his way up here towards the front. He's
currently sitting p number thirteen on the field as he's
going to try to make his way up there to
the top ten. And then he got Brandon Chutch Griffiths
in the number thirty six making a trying to make
a pass on Angus Lawford. As now there are going
(15:23):
to be a single file going down at thunder Alley.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
Yeah, that's Project thirty six now trying to get away
from those drivers. Matt Raymond watching onto the eighty three.
By the way, people audience, Nathan Outland is my son's
name right now it is Raymond down to the inside.
He's got a battle Project thirty six again. You got
to chew jump on the high side up against the
safer barrier. He tries to get after law for it's
(15:47):
like work down to the inside Raymond on the bottom.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Yeah, you see they're Cheo's getting a little bit too
high coming off turns number one and two, got himself
into the wall.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
And it's actually a very daring path has to go
down to the inside West. I don't know if you've
watched the trucks run here on I racing or anything
like that.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Oh, yes, the outside lane is going to be the
preferred lane. Your think it's the inside, you know, shorter
way around the track, that's the way you want to
do it. But the outside you carry so much momentums,
kind of like you're running Bristol trouble.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
Holdsworth saves the truck.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
No he did not. He fell back to tenth. Dylan unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Not sure if he hit the wall. The truck looks
fairly clean. Maybe got a little bit too over zealous
coming off the corner, got it a little bit sideways.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
Going to go into a quick replay.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Here see what happened to the number eight machine coming
off turns number one and two down on the bottom,
got a little bit loose and we.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
Got a caution and we've got a yellow flight. Now
they put a caution out.
Speaker 5 (16:54):
Yeah, it must be for that. I can't see anything else.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Wow, man, I tell.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
You who is really benefits there?
Speaker 2 (17:00):
West that's going to be the believe there was one
ninety four that ended up getting spun out on lap
number one of this race. But it's also going to
help Jason Holdsworth who had that scare coming off turns
number one and two. He got a little bit of
damage on the driver's side, left front, but it's.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
Only on the front.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
You can hurry up, get that into the pit road,
get it off fixed, and then you should be.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
Able to go home. Guys, I'm wondering if Riley Curtis
might have had a problem with ninety three. We need
to go back and check production. He's in the twenty
first position right now, and I'm wondering if Riley Curtis
had something happen to him. Nonetheless, here comes a lot, well,
here comes a lot of the takers on pitt Lane.
They're coming to the pits, and I think we're going
(17:44):
to go back to production here on our broadcast and
look at a replay and check out Riley Curtis trump
ninety three. I wonder if something happened to him. It
says he's multiple laps down, but I wonder if something
happened before he came to the pits. We'll see if
this is what triggered the cost in here, Dylan.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
He's in one and two. Oh, he gets on the
air day a little bit. No, we kept us straight,
and I don't.
Speaker 5 (18:11):
Mind specifically but yeah, sound good.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
But I don't know. Yeah, he just he just pulled
onto the he just dropped onto the pit lane. I'm
just wondering if that might have triggered a caution, but
I really don't think it if it would do that.
By the way, Uh, it looks like chooch Brandon Griffiths
does not Pitt. Neither does Coutte Dow, neither does Lee Davis.
And because of that twenty one in of one hundred
(18:38):
and thirty six laps Dylan, it puts Project thirty six
in the lead.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Yeah, and here here's going to be the next issue
that a lot of these drivers are going to have
that You've seen how bad the restarts were for the
drivers on that outside. Now you got everybody that's behind
that Project thirty six machine that has tires. You're going
to see the biggest difference in the world world with
fresh tires and old tires. It'll be amazing if Choos
(19:05):
can hold these drivers off for as long as he
possibly can. Getting ready to come up to this next
restart is he's gonna think wise here and he's gonna
take that inside lane. Put kut doll up there on
the top.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
Nathan what are you thinking here, buddy, watching him here
in the early going.
Speaker 6 (19:20):
And obviously, like Rocketeyane my pick from the last race
we did, Newman he's in fifth, so I'm going with
number I'm going fifth. I'm going with number one of
Newman this time.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
Does it make it?
Speaker 1 (19:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (19:30):
I mean I can tell you that Brad Newman is
already in the Championship four. Yeah, I know.
Speaker 6 (19:35):
That's what I'm saying. I'm going with him the whole.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
And that is that is a mulligan if you will
for a guy Dylan, you know Dylan like uh like
Jason Holdsworth, right, because here's the deal. If he has
the less amount of trucks at twenty two. Remember we
said that we needed twenty three or more. He got
that minimum trucks needed. So I guess a mulligan could
(19:58):
go for Jason Holds if you know whatever happening, Well,
here we go. Trouble on the start, Oh no, trouble
on the restart.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Trouble definitely not what they wanted to say. You got
Lee Davies, you got Tom Frere, oh Man, just a
lot of truck's gonna be injured here in the next restart,
and that that's what I was talking about, Wes. That
outside lane you you go to see it here. I
(20:28):
believe it's the thirty six that starts at all. He's
gonna get a little bit loose. Wow, the fourteen tags.
Oh Aaron Borr getting tagged. Tom Frere, Oh not. I
believe that was either a Pritchard or that was one
of the barber boys getting.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Let's get back. Let's go back to the restart. Watch
the lead truck. Watch Griffith's truck. Even though he's in
the box, he fires first right now, look what happened
to him? But you know the zero fourteen spun, the
tires got into the one thirty six. Tom Frere nowhere
to go till Pritchard slammed into his passenger door. And man,
(21:09):
it's I got a philing Dylan. Tom Freer might have
to do this all over again, shades of what he
had to do in the Infinity Series to make the
Championship four. Listen to the restart. Oh yeah, big, oh yeah.
Look at the RPMs drop.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
I mean, wow, I wonder if a lot of these
drivers West are starting in first gears at a second
gear on these quick little restarts.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
And here's something to think about as well. Remember they
were some of the drivers that had not pitted the
first caution. They didn't come down to the pit lane,
so you gotta wonder. I don't want to say that
their tires are shot at twenty four twenty laps in
the race and the run, but obviously you got tires
that are fresher new fresh as if you will, then
old tires. And you know, listen, Rockingham is known even
(22:03):
in real life Dylan to have those issues on the restarts.
I can't tell you how many races have been one
and or lost on numerous occasions at the Rock because
of the restarts. So look, look, you want to mimick
it in the simulation world, there's a prime example of
(22:25):
it for sure.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Yeah yeah, I mean we was you hit it nail
on the head.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
I mean, this isactly what it is.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
It is just like the old Atlanta before they did
the repave. If you started on that outside, you got
to really play with your throat a little bit to
be able to get the RPMs up and that you're
not wheel spinning at all. Any kind of short track,
intermediate track that is flat, it's hot, it's slippery out
there for a lot of these drivers. The air track
temp is going to be up there as well, so
(22:55):
you also got to pay attention to that too. I
wonder if anybody's over the radio saying, hey, make sure
on this next restart, everybody grabs the right gear, make
sure the wheel spins under control, and let's get another
nice little green flag run out here.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
For these truck drivers, we're only.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Twenty seven laps in out of one hundred and thirty six,
and Brandon chewch is kind of loving all these cautions
because it's given them more laps let but they definitely
want to make sure that everything goes the way that
they planned.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Restop looks like they're gonna make this rikespy single file
as well because there were so many. I think it's
because there was a repetitive caution on the double file restart.
Caution quickly came out and they make it single foul
them a right, Dylan, So that's why we're back to
green in single file formation.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Yeah. Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
It's kind of like the NASCAR Coke Series where if
they can't do more than five laps or so, and
they have another caution and then another caution as well
right after they're going to go to a single file restart,
and obviously if they can get a nice green flag,
run comes ahead and go down it. The double going
on is what Brad Newman down in the pit lane.
(24:07):
So I wonder there's a couple more drivers coming in,
Prichard and Mark Grocott all going into pit.
Speaker 6 (24:14):
Lane, well all three of them pitt last time they
come in.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
Yeah, and that is I'm wondering if there's a penalty
possibly on the on uh that puts Aaron Bord by
the way the lead. But I wondering if there's a
penalty on Newman. Let to find out when race control
and see that's right down board Griffiths Raymond, there's numid
(24:40):
back out on racetrack. I wonder if that was a
stop and go penalty for the for the for the
Newman trunk here of the one.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Yeah, I'm not one hundred percent sure because I mean
the way that he kid went into.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
Pit land came right back out.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
I wonder if you just did it either a like
you said, rest Yeah, like you said.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
It's just a little stop and go.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
But Newman's not worried about it, right, I mean, he's
already got the win.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
He can just lags drive Miss Daisy. We both know.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
Listen, I was at Martinsville. I was at Martinsville with
NASCAR last weekend, and shades of what happened to Denny
Hamlin and Chase Brisco right, they both hand grenade. They're
Joe Gibbs Kazoo Racing power plants. They go out of
the Infinity five hundred. But it doesn't matter because you
know that they're going to race for the championship. Brad
(25:30):
Newman knows he's racing at Phoenix next week in the
Truck Series for the American or the Australian NASCAR East
Series Truck title. So hey, listen, whatever gets thrown at him,
shake it off. I mentioning about Jason Holdsworth, also telling
what happened to him. He's right back in the saddle again.
He's up to third bottling RAYMONDOV two.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
Yeah, I got around the number.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Believe that is the thirty sixth of was one of
the drivers that has not pit yet. So Jason Oldworth,
you can see just how much of a difference tires
are going to be making as everybody else is went
down in the pit lane, got some fresh tires.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
They are on a limited tire set to west. It's
nothing gonna pay attention to that.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
See who goes down takes that early pitched up burns
that set of tires. Nowoo under pressure from double D
and the five of the barbers.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
Trying to hang on his three wide down the front stretch.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
What you think, Nike thinner comes Tom Frere trying to battle.
Speaker 7 (26:38):
Back on the ball of Douglass around, he's around, Douglas
gets in and believe the Griffith cash it out.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Oh boys, nothing Dave Douglas could do.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
He locked him up.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
And then another Project thirty six machine tried slowing down
to minimize the caution damage, but just know where to go.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
I believe I was David Lawler. Yeah, David Lawler the
other truck there. Look at this again, three wide in
the corner. That's twenty two degrees of banking Lawler into Douglas. Wow,
the ninety two of Angus Lawford's the one that he
got into and.
Speaker 6 (27:17):
Because he was doing that, wrecked, well, he wrecked on
the firt that like the tenth lap last time.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
Yeah, Tom Frere yep, And I think he's in stealth mode.
Also we talked about uh, Jason Holdsworth. Also, you know
Tom Freer, you know Dylan, He's trying to rally his
way back to the front. Watch this again on the
bottom the rainbow looking forty one machine Freer surely missed.
I mean, look, he's gonna run the bottom, he's not
(27:43):
lifting and then they just run out of room and
monkey in the middle is Douglas and he probably would
have got away with it if agus Lawford wasn't hit him.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
And I think that's just a miscommunication on the spiders
in there. You know, obviously a lot of these driver
do have the iRacing spoder on and others use an
actual crew chief.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
So I don't think Chuche.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
I don't think Chuche realized that they were three white
at that point in time going into the corner, So
he didn't realize that he had to go up a
little bit more to give Tom Frere just a little bit,
or not tome f how to give Dave Douglas a
little bit more room than what he had to begin with.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
And just the racing isn't it happens? Just tight racing.
But with it only being thirty seven.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Laps into this race, do you want to try to
take those daring moves to make it three white of
this early.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
I, I for one, would say, I just think Rocky
ham provides it right. And Tom Frere had a gap.
He went down to the inside. Listen, he's gonna do
any and everything he can to get up front. Can
he get into the right spot? Points Now, I think
you're one of these guys, if mister engineer, Director Dean,
if you want to throw the stats up again, of
(28:53):
the of the playoffs, he's in the number five hole, right,
that's not a bad spot like Angus Lawford is Dylan.
But if he can win the race, obviously that's perfect
in his part. But if he can't win the race
he got involved in an accident earlier. You're gonna race
(29:14):
and get it back to the front as fast as
you can. We saw Holdsworth do it. We saw Tom
Freer do it. Freer doesn't have a mulligan like less
than twenty three trucks when I go to the semi
final order the championship rown like Holdsworth does. So gotta
gotta find a way to take advantage of any mulligan.
(29:35):
It's like playing golf, right, If you can get a mulligan,
get a get a Birdie instead of a you know,
a putt. Yeah, go for it. Try to find a
way to take your minuses to be plus is to
get into the run of the championship four.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Absolutely, and Tom Freer definitely going to do what he
needs to do. And I mean it's a risk verst
reward type thing situation, especially for Tom Freer. He wants
to see what what he can do when he can't
do Obviously he can't do that as of right now.
But get ready to go back Green is gonna be
(30:14):
Borg and looks like Matt Raymond up there in Peterboro.
Two is they're gonna dive into Pete or dive into
turn number one in two.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
Borg out to a stronger lead this.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
Time by Is everybody gonna be able to get through
that first restart? No, we'll spend no jibber jabber, everybody
getting going down into thunder ally down into ters number
three and four.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
We got our back out of the canvas. Now look
at bored Borg now jumping out to the top spot.
How'm ol Matt Raymond remember the problems on the eighty
three earlier? He's back to second holdswarf down on the
inside and Tom Freer today's Tom Freer high on you
what dun your ally is? He works for the max
straight away at the rocks.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
You can see there.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
Tom Freer took that bigger arc down in in terms
of our one and two. He got a really good run,
got right up on the back bumber. Jason Holdsworth is
not able to take advantage of it. Holdsworth run in
the middle in three and four. He's gonna be able
to pull away from Tom Freer going into turn number
one and two. But then they switch Holdsworth back down
to the bottom, Fear back up to the top.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
Yeah. Again another strong run there by Tom Freer. Couple
of trucks getting ants Project thirty six in the back
behind Tom Freer. That's AINGA Slawford. There's Lawler, Barber, Griffiths
right there in tow is they worked their way off
of four.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
Everybody that is in white on the left side of
your screen, those are your playoff drivers. Everybody else that
it's in black, those are just regular drivers just fighting
for more points in the best of the wrist in
this season. As we're on board with Andy Barber, he's
going to shoot it down to the inside. That slacks
creak Carby's number five machine getting on by the number
(31:55):
one thirty six is he's going to go up into
the outside wall coming off turns number three and four.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
Championship drove Vesus blad Draw, the other one of those
drivers this.
Speaker 5 (32:04):
Week mentioned that the Baba sorry, now that's Andy.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
All this going on is again it's right Barber named
so close to having a family affair finish and Talladega
last Thursday. Obviously that changed all the while for Raymond Holdsworth.
Right there and here we go again Freer right, La
Millowire's contact up the hill goes to fifty two. That's Lawford.
(32:31):
That's fort fifth and six on the right track.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
You've seen it there.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Barber was thinking about making a three white. He backed
out right at the last second, and Tom Freer thought
they were still three white. A little bit of beating
a megan in turns number one and two. Able to
keep it all straight and neat and tidy. Nobody got
to the outside wall. Nobody spun, but it was Andy
Barber put himself into that position to make Tom overthink
(32:57):
it and get up into the number one thirty six,
And it's gonna be Andy Barber on that outside trying
to get around that Project thirty six machine.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
Great battle there town on the inside. That's the Lawford Lawford.
Now got company. Here comes the five Ford Andy Barber
clears by Lawford put him in the number five spot.
It's boring Raymond, Holdsworth Barber Lawford sounds like an Australian
law firm of the back straight away.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
Just a gaggle of cars back here. Then he got
the top three, nose to tail. Borg had that big
lead over Holdsworth and Matt Raymond. But they're right back
to the back bumpers as a little lake.
Speaker 8 (33:37):
Tom Frere was checking up with just a little bit
more than what the other guy behind him thought was
a little bit of contact going into one and two,
a little bit of slippy sliding sideway.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
He don't want to do that too much. His cute
Dali is a little bit loose off turn number two.
Speaker 3 (33:54):
Oh hold on, guys, see about got into him more
contact again, Save it, baby, you gotta save it. And
that's exactly what they're doing. Well. Still stay green, boy,
That got crazy there for a minute. Borg and Raymond
in the lead. Now you got Brad Newman climbing into
the top ten. Nathan here comes your pickersers contact in
(34:16):
front of him. Oh baby, that's David Lawler and Ryan
Barbaramos taking each other around in three.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
You see it there.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
We had a great onboard shot of it from Brad
Newman's perspective, and that's what Brad Newman doesn't want to see, right,
Brad Newman wants to be out there running every single
lap and get the best finished at he possibly camp.
He's already advanced to the championship for he knows he's
going to be going for a trophy, but he also
wants to put that.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Percentage of finishing races up there too.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Is Andy Barber getting past Jason Holdsworth now for the
P number.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
For P three position.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
And now you got Borg Raymond Barber, Holdsworth in law
are going to be your top five three playoff drivers
inside the top five as Borg now under pressure from
Matt Raymond.
Speaker 3 (35:07):
And right now we're coming up on fifty laps completed
when they come to the line this time by off
turn four, that's eighty six laps to go in this
rice chat too. Thanks again for joining us, says again
Borg Raymond Barber, who you rooting four in the chat box,
is still a long way Togo. He ripped the rock
(35:30):
right now, Borg, I think we're stretching ourself in for
the long green flag run of the rights right here now, Tilan.
Things have calmed down.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
Yeah, things have definitely calmed down.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
I think everybody who's trying to find their rhythm they
want to get into that long green flag run where
they can see what their truck is doing.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
A longer run.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
We haven't got to see it, only for about twenty
two to twenty five laps or so before we had
our first caution. But you got Barber making a pass
for pe number two. He's setting his sights on to
pe number one. Andy Barber not in it for the
championship hunt, but he wants to make it to where
somebody that is not in the playoffs or somebody that
(36:11):
has won of the playoffs already to win this race
and make it a points battle between the last three
positions that make it the final four.
Speaker 7 (36:20):
These guys at the Funny remember light bulks back on Lept.
Twenty one, These guys are the long left thirty six
pot picking.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
So Andy Barber from the back to the front challenge
is going to be complete. Andy Barber new race leader,
out of fifty six, fifty four laps complete in Jason
Holdsworth slowly starting to slow up on the race track.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
He's gonna be battling with kut Dal.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
As Kute gets around the number thirty six of Brandon
Griffiths and Jason Holdsworth still running that inside lane. You
can see everybody's starting to migrate to that top side,
but it's gonna be kut.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
Dal getting a really good run on Jason Holdsworth.
Speaker 3 (36:59):
He's gonna look down to the inside, Nathan, what are
you thinking so far? Obviously watching this, we see obviously
Barber now showing his strengths leading good intense racing. Started
to calm down, but keep it on, Tom Frear, he's climbing.
Speaker 6 (37:14):
He's climbed.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
A little bit of a miscommunication on the number fifty
two and the number forty one. Machine forty one almost
got houcked to the outside wall. Thought he was clear,
just a little bit of that front bumper of the
number fifty two caught that right rear of the number
forty one, but able to keep them both off the wall,
keep them both facing the same direction, and we're still
(37:39):
going to be green. As we take a ride on
board with Angus Lawford back in pe number nine.
Speaker 3 (37:44):
At Lawford now trying to make him run here on
the barber truck and they work off the corner. By
the way, Tom Free up in front of them imposition
number seven. All this going on now as we had
towards lap number sixty of this race completed, and look
it now, Newman try to climb back into the top ten.
(38:05):
He's got behind top Freer. Watch the forty one in
the one try to get to the front and pick
trucks off to get back to the P one spot
off four.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
I think within about five to six laps west, you're
gonna start seeing all these drivers migrate to the top.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
They're gonna go wherever the grip is.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
Try Leville and it in in turn number one and
two Downey inside, gonna put the move on that Project
thirty six machine up.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
On that outside.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
I'm not gonna be able to get the run off
the corner. He's gonna try to do it again down
in three.
Speaker 3 (38:38):
We'll be down on the bottom of the race track.
That's Lavell. Levell will try to make a move to
close in on Newman again. All the while he opens
the door down to the outside lane, and they'll now
hustle and muscle their position up the hill up put
into the safer barrier goes now stride for stride, Newman
and Barbar torn the doors. This goes on going into three.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
Yeah, you can see there Newman and was being a
little bit patient with those drivers right in front of him.
He was able to get around those three drivers. Now
you can start setting his sights on Tom Freer in
that number forty one machine. And it's crazy to think, Wes,
he was a lap down before that caution.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
He's back on the lead lap and now he's working
his way up to the front. So I think I'm
with a Nathan on this race here, Wes, he's got
the truck to beat. Looks like.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Right now Barber showing that momentum in the top spot.
It's Barber. It's Coute Dow, followed by Aaron Bord. He's
the first playoff driver. Now look at Raymond on the inside.
Oh Bord. This is going on for third as they
work the back straight away all the while holts Worth
this watching.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
Yeah, Holdsworth's sitting behind them, saving those tires.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
That's what Jason Holdsworth does.
Speaker 2 (39:54):
He sits, He waits, and when he knows his time
is right, that's when he's gonna pounce. He's kind of
like a track spider. Is he gonna make sure you get
a little bit close, and then once you get close, he's.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
Gonna the outside of wall a little bit of arrotatus
on the number eight machine.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
Yeah, Jason, there's a wall there. You don't want to
get that too close for comfort? Is that Riley Curtis
designed nine Rome rac Number eight machine works his way
around the race track. Now, now remember statistically, scenario wise,
we're thinking Jason Holdsworth is going to the championship four.
He slams the outside, say for barrier again, But Dylan,
(40:35):
you can't race that way. He's gonna have the mindset
of I still need to focus and do what I
need to do to get the job done. Right now,
he sits at the top five.
Speaker 2 (40:46):
Yes, it pretty has been in the top five this
entire time, other than having that early race incident where
he got loose off in turns number one and two.
But Aaron Borg under heavy pressure from Matt Raymond as
right now, Brad Newman, watch Brad.
Speaker 6 (41:03):
Right behind him?
Speaker 1 (41:06):
Yeah, bad behind him.
Speaker 9 (41:09):
He's just absolutely on a rail taking his time working
safely lap after lap to that front spot and Barber
is now still leading all us going on downa see
work our way back down the back stretch.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
Look at Brad neumanc boy handling going away. You think
tires going away as he hits that twenty five degrees
of banking. Here at the rock behind holtzpurts Brad Newman
outside the top five into four.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
Yeah, I think those tires are starting to go away.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
You can start to see everybody running.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
Way way.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
Wow, a little bit losing up in the outside wall.
Holdsworth's not having a good time out here on those
older tires. Is he's going to drive back a couple
more spots?
Speaker 3 (42:02):
It has been that way for several occasions now where
Holtzworth eats the outside wall. Now he tries to get
back on the gas again, falls back to seventh position.
Wall that goes on. It's born Raymond and Newman now
bottle league for the top five, third, three, fifth single
(42:25):
file here in turn three.
Speaker 2 (42:27):
Yeah, riding on board with Aaron Borg looking off the
back deck lid of the adaptive one caliper motion as
we have.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
A caution out on the racetrack. Fine, oh no.
Speaker 5 (42:43):
What about championship.
Speaker 3 (42:44):
Ryan Barber. Wow, damn unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (42:50):
I have to see it.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
Here's a look at a replay. Watch it, Ryan Barber.
He's Guy Griffiths in front of him. He's got down
to the inside the thirty six in the eighty six,
so there's contact there.
Speaker 6 (43:07):
Hey, just got sideways, Yeah, Barber around.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
Maybe we can see it from another angle again.
Speaker 2 (43:19):
Right on board with Ryan Barber. Midway through the corner.
Speaker 3 (43:24):
There's another truck behind him, and I really believe Brian
Blundale got to the to the left rear. Let's watch
it from another angle. Watch Blundale. That's the blue, green
and white truck on the inside. Maybe not intentional, but
I think they're just ran out of the room and
there's contact. No, it is net code. It is the
n C word. Wow.
Speaker 2 (43:46):
That's yeah, definitely not what you want to see. You
hate to see it, especially with the NC that heavy
and that lot.
Speaker 3 (44:00):
Of They tell us, you know, Dylan, they frown at
us and tell us not to say that word. But
I mean it's a lack bottom line that that is
what NED code is, and I mean it's not it's
just basically a difference of the servers, not meshing together
(44:22):
like they should in sync and see what action.
Speaker 7 (44:26):
Yeah, it predicts because if it if it gets packets
and it can't get an exact packet a time, it'll
predict whether Kyle will be at that point.
Speaker 5 (44:34):
It will already predict what the count heme me.
Speaker 3 (44:35):
But so basically it predicts packets of where these these
simulation machines would be, and it's thinking that it's gonna
be in that part at that time, and when it happened,
he wasn't there, or he was there even though he
wasn't there, right, Dylan, it's imaginary. Hey, halloweens tomorrow, right,
(44:55):
halloweens today for you guys later on tonight. But I
heard y'all straight and don't really celebrate Halloween. But anyhow, dell,
there you.
Speaker 1 (45:05):
Go, Oh, there you go.
Speaker 3 (45:06):
Yeah, a little spectacular there here because.
Speaker 1 (45:11):
We got everything up on the screen.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
So if you guys are going to be out there
enjoying the festivities tomorrow night, hopefully all the children that
have the awesome parents to take them out.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
For trigger treating.
Speaker 2 (45:26):
Hopefully everybody goes out has fun, stay safe, and make
sure you get.
Speaker 1 (45:30):
Them all the candy that they want.
Speaker 3 (45:32):
I'm calling I'm calling a monster I'm calling a monster
football game tomorrow night. So that is what I'm doing
for Halloween.
Speaker 6 (45:40):
And I'm gonna be here by myself.
Speaker 3 (45:43):
No trigger treating, you know. So we'll be in the
candy to go on clear and so then you know,
clear and sell everything must do right?
Speaker 6 (45:51):
What do I do if the kids come through the door?
Speaker 3 (45:53):
What do I just scare them off? Now, I'll just
give him they use your deep use your deep voice
to be like get out of here. Yeah, there you go,
pace truck. And then we're coming back to greed. If
only our audience could hear Dean on the other side
(46:14):
dealing back under way.
Speaker 2 (46:17):
Ryan Bird, Andy Barber gonna lead us back to the
green flag. And then he got Aaron on that outside but.
Speaker 1 (46:26):
Into the corner.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
Wow, Jason Holdsworth getting involved. Wow what they wanted to
see Trent level involved?
Speaker 1 (46:38):
Oh man, I thought that was just such a great restart.
Speaker 3 (46:41):
And then I say something Dylan's three of the five
restarts of this race has calls cautions. Watch this thing again. Wow,
they try to stack it for wide freer and does
he get up there and know there's contact Holdsworth into
Lavelle Lavelle gets around Raymond. Raymond tags into the wall.
All Douglas again collected. That's what happened. Holdsworth by the way, man.
Speaker 2 (47:08):
Yeah, Trey Lavell, I think maybe.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
I looking at it all.
Speaker 2 (47:15):
The big big checkups, so Coute and Aaron Bord had
a big check up. Trey Lavell wanted to miss the
accident and it got to the outside of Jason Holdsworth.
And I don't think Jason Holdsworth hit the outside wall. Maybe,
But if you want some memorabilia, there's some deck with
deck lid down of the number eight pitstall. He's gonna
(47:36):
go ahead and autograph it for you, just a little
four ninety nine to get yourself started.
Speaker 3 (47:43):
Watch this again. Is there's Leavell, there's contact around, goes
Raymond Douglas into the fence. Griffiths as well through that.
My goodness, hey Dean, go back to the front of
the restart. Nathan watched the one that Brad Newman. Here
he tries to go run up under the back end
of barber and he tries to stick it three wide
(48:05):
before the wreck happened. This is in the back, but
wat's right there. Look at this stealing down on the bottom.
Look at the one and then he backed away when
the caution came out. Brad Newman was trying to go
to the league guys.
Speaker 1 (48:23):
Yeah, Brad Newman wanted that lead, and you can see
it there.
Speaker 2 (48:27):
He tried to time the restart just perfect, just just
a little bit too soon.
Speaker 3 (48:31):
Look at this.
Speaker 2 (48:32):
But man, if he were to time that restart perfect,
there was I think we would have had a three
white to go a number one and two.
Speaker 3 (48:38):
Yeah, we might have had another crash.
Speaker 2 (48:41):
Oh man, a lot of tore up race cars under
that caution, as I believe, get through this.
Speaker 5 (48:51):
How's this? How a look at this for Jammie Davis.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
Right, he was, yeah, j Davis, look at this. It's
like day's a thunder.
Speaker 5 (49:03):
He gets through it.
Speaker 3 (49:03):
All The rule is who go straight for that?
Speaker 5 (49:06):
Sneaks through that, sneaks through that.
Speaker 3 (49:08):
Hey you go.
Speaker 5 (49:08):
He's now up to peve not seven. He might pick
to win this, by the way, he won a Deans.
Speaker 3 (49:14):
Dean's picked to win the race is Jamie Davison ninety
two by the way up the seventh. He's the guy
that did a phenomenal job to miss that crash. All right,
So there you see it again as they come down
thunder rally, they're gonna be single file. Dealing into the
reason why, as you said, it is because we had
a restart double file they crash. We go for a
restart here at lap number seventy five. Man, this one's
(49:36):
going by quickly, sixty one to go. When they come
back to green, my friend, they're heading your wike.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
I can tell you what other cars are really fun
to drive here after this restart and we get everybody
back going as Aaron Borg, I'm gonna lead these drivers
back to a green of flag race conditions, is he?
Everybody trying to be as easy as they can on
the throttle pedal, doesn't want to get all the tire
(50:03):
spin and lose more positions than what they have as
they roar down thunder Alley on the lat number seventy six.
Speaker 3 (50:11):
Let's see what happens now, Jamie Davis, there's the pick
for Dean up to fifth maybe more prondrack thirty six
on a roll.
Speaker 1 (50:25):
Yeah, he's to make it up there to the front.
And then he got Barber Borg Newman Barber.
Speaker 2 (50:33):
And then Jamie Davis gonna be your top five.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
Four of the five.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
Playoff drivers or four of the top five are all
playoff drivers.
Speaker 1 (50:44):
So Newman locked in, Barber.
Speaker 2 (50:48):
Kind of locked in if he gets the race win
or if he finishes better than Tom Freer in others
down below him.
Speaker 1 (50:55):
And then he got Borg, who is currently p.
Speaker 2 (50:59):
Three in the standings for going into Phoenix next week.
West He's in a prime position in the lead. Wants
to be the man that locks himself in with a
win and not to do it on points.
Speaker 3 (51:12):
And all this going on now as Man, you think
of what Davis did to climb all those spots, miss
the accident, if you will. He's up sixteen positions. He's
showing his strengths right now in that number five spot.
Right there alongside behind him is Dormant Blundale, Lawford Blundale
(51:35):
to take dal back to Tampon. Up in front of
him is Barbara and Newman. All this going on, Borg
in the lead, barbar Newman, Barber. Newman's in the middle
of that sandwich. Now is they go back into turn three?
Speaker 5 (51:48):
He should wait for the son.
Speaker 2 (51:50):
Everybody just trying to jockey for position as of right now.
I want to get all the positions that they can
and then settle in.
Speaker 1 (51:56):
They don't want to run these.
Speaker 2 (51:57):
Tires ragged the first five to ten laps. They want
to take it easy and just be where they want
to be at and you can see there Aaron Borg
got a really good restart, pulled out to about ten
truck lengths and there you see it on the screen.
Everybody has caught back up to Aaron Borg. He's starting
to slow his pace down a little bit, just wants
to get through these next couple of laps and then
(52:20):
see what he.
Speaker 1 (52:21):
Can do on the final stretch of this race.
Speaker 3 (52:24):
Nathan, what are you watching here, buddy? We're seeing Newman
come back to the front, but obviously still a long
way to go in this thing.
Speaker 6 (52:30):
I'm watching Newman and I'm watching.
Speaker 3 (52:32):
Board, watching Newman, watching Board, Dude.
Speaker 6 (52:40):
I don't know which one. I don't know which one
Barber to watch because there's too.
Speaker 3 (52:44):
Yeah there is. The five is Sambiously Andy Barber, Ryan Barber,
and obviously, if you remember, the Barber family was looking
to have a phenomenal finish at Talladega last Thursday night
in the race in race two of the round of eight,
Dylan and they got one driver got disqualified too many
incident points and obviously the other Barber got to win.
(53:06):
He wasn't happy with it, but obviously a good strong
run now as the Barber family are right there looking
for a chance to make a family affair. Here at
the rocket third and second and fifth correction second and
fourth for the back straight away.
Speaker 2 (53:22):
You can see there Ryan Barbara waiting patiently right behind
that lobby sports driver of Brad and Newman. Gonna follow
him all the way around the racetrack, right in his
tire tracks essentially, and once to pick up where Brad
Newman's getting, beating him off the corner, beating him into
the corner or even down the straight away. Is Barbara
gonna look all the way up to the outside wall.
(53:43):
He's gonna cut it down, get a good runoff turn
number one and two. He's now going to try to
make the pass. He's gonna stay behind to the number
one One's going to dive down to the inside of
Barber to the top.
Speaker 3 (53:53):
Close the hand on fifty laps to go when they
come back to the stripe here fifty one remain Aaron
Borr continually the way. There's a new law firm in
town for the Aussie world. It is the law offices
of barbar Newman and Barber they continue to go at
it for second, third, and fourth sit off the wall
with Momore as they go to the back straight away
(54:14):
the Barber family in front of Himan at three.
Speaker 2 (54:18):
Barb looks like Ryan and Barber still on that outside,
has Brad.
Speaker 1 (54:23):
Newman pinned out of the inside.
Speaker 2 (54:25):
Brad Newman is not gonna let him get away with
it that easily. He's gonna battle him tooth and nail
almost contact there between the or the one and of
the number one machine able to keep it clean off
of each other. Brad Newman is still rolling that inside,
though he's gonna scoot up to the outside and not
giving a lot of margin for error for the number
(54:47):
one ninety four.
Speaker 1 (54:48):
A little bit of a wall scrape coming off four.
Speaker 3 (54:50):
And right now. Aaron Borg loving this though he's not
let away far contact far rid of the outside wall
contact with Newman. Newman's can't wear something acid pulls away
Lawford now Jamie Davis check that moves the fourth Ryan
Barber back to fifth. They still stay green as he
hits the wall.
Speaker 1 (55:09):
In one oh, not what Ryan Barber wants to see.
Speaker 2 (55:14):
As he's going to drop back into the field once again.
He's going to try to get that truck back up
there towards the front and Jamie Davis now currently your
fourth place position out there on the field. And then
right behind the Ryan Barber, you got Angus Lawford waiting
in the coattails to see him do or having a
(55:36):
stake out here on the racetrack. And what's weird is
I have not seen anybody take that apron yet along
the front straight away. I think they might be waiting
just in case if they get a good run.
Speaker 3 (55:53):
Borg in the lead. It's Aaron Bourne. Look at this now,
Ryan Barber trying to pick up the peace. This is,
if you will, going after the ninety two of Jamie Davis.
And here comes out Project thirty six, Angus Lawford, Dylan
McDonald and is the Outland family, my son Nathan to
(56:14):
the mootom Wesleyan Dylan. The battle between barbar and Newman
is heating up again.
Speaker 2 (56:19):
Is he's raining back down, He's rating them back down.
He wants redemption now on that number one machine wants
to get around him, get clear of the number one.
Speaker 1 (56:30):
He's got a.
Speaker 2 (56:30):
Little bit of time to think about what he wants
to do. If he wants to be on the outside
of Brad again or if he wants to be down
on the inside, but Brad putting the pressure on Andy
Barbara as of right now, then you got bored.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
He's loving what he's seen in his mirror.
Speaker 2 (56:46):
He's like, yeah, you guys, go ahead, you guys fight
battle it out.
Speaker 1 (56:49):
While you guys do that, I'm gonna go ahead and
pull away.
Speaker 3 (56:51):
I'll tell you what, Nathan, what are you watching here, buddy?
Guess we're heading to the home stretch.
Speaker 6 (56:55):
Of this thing. Take second.
Speaker 3 (57:00):
He thinks Neuman's gonna move to the number two spot.
Could that happen here?
Speaker 5 (57:05):
And he's gonna say no, But oh.
Speaker 3 (57:08):
Wow, he just got I think you just made it happen.
And he's not done yet.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
The driver going a one lap down, back to the lead,
lap back up to second furthest he's been down, his
twentieth highest, he's been his first since he started on
the poll.
Speaker 7 (57:26):
Brad back a little bit and allowed Ryan to catch
back up to get him on the back of him.
Speaker 5 (57:33):
That's what I would do. It's a bob with him
and working together.
Speaker 3 (57:36):
What a great show we've seen. And obviously remember the
final race will be decided. As Dylan mentioned, the Championship
four next Thursday night. We got its course Phoenix, and
don't forget pretty much all of the races after the
night will be the championship races. Am a right, Dylan,
(57:56):
you got the Australian NASCAR Championship Sunday Series. I think
they're gonna go to Vegas for their finale and no, no, no,
I'm sorry Homestead. They're gonna go to Homestead for their
finale on the Sunday night, No remember the ninth. But
for the other series next Tuesday night, Next Thursday night,
Infinity and Trucks will be at Phoenix. As we see
(58:18):
Newman going after Aaron Borg, aeron Borg trying to win
to go to the Top four final, Brad Newman's already
and he's got nothing to lose.
Speaker 2 (58:28):
Down to the inside, you can see their aeron Borg
trying to get down to the inside just to block
that run from Brad Newman. But he gave him the room.
He knew he was gonna be there by the time
they got it. Whoa high up in the outside wall
is aeron Borg laps just a little bit.
Speaker 3 (58:48):
Yeah, he definitely gave him, made him fight for that spot. Nathan,
you said keeping eye on the one of Brad Newman.
He's there.
Speaker 5 (58:57):
If you'd take up.
Speaker 3 (59:01):
Brad Newman up in front from.
Speaker 6 (59:03):
Dropping as the podium started, on the podium, dropping to
the back, going being a lap down, coming back up,
ain't getting the far begin What.
Speaker 3 (59:15):
A strong run here Dylan is right now. We watch
the leaders work their way to the mix straight away.
This is going on again.
Speaker 6 (59:21):
Oh Freer is out?
Speaker 1 (59:23):
Everybody is it trying to do what they do?
Speaker 5 (59:28):
One championship.
Speaker 3 (59:32):
Tom Frere is out of the race.
Speaker 7 (59:34):
Unbelievable and co So that's two championship drums out.
Speaker 3 (59:39):
What do you think Dylan isn't enough though to punch
him in? Possibly?
Speaker 1 (59:45):
I don't know, No, I know.
Speaker 2 (59:50):
I believe our final four is going to be what
you see in the top four right now, unless uh
Angus Lawford or Jamie Davis comes up and steals a win,
and then you'll have the Brad, You'll have Brad Newman,
Jason Holdsworth, Jamie Davis and then Aaron Borg or you'll
have Brad Newman, Jason Holdsworth, Jamie or Angus Lawford in Aaron.
Speaker 3 (01:00:13):
Can we say this? Can we say this? Though? Ryan
Barber and Angus Lawford are in the hunt. They're in
the top five in the sixth position right now. They
could possibly make some noise here as we just put
lap one hundred on the board, thirty five laps. They
go with the rock next time by at the line.
Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
Yeah, there's definitely gonna be a lot of noise coming
in through this racetrack. They call it thunder Ally for
a reason. But everybody's got something to fight for. If
you have a white on your banner on the left
side of your screen, is Aaron Borg gonna get passed
by Andy Barber for p number two. So Andy Barber
(01:00:57):
not one of the playoff contenders, but still going to
try to make some.
Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
Movis if you just can't get his win at the.
Speaker 5 (01:01:04):
Rock, that's what he can do tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:01:07):
Brad Newman in the lead there you see everyone else.
Now that is Barber and Borg finding it out for
second and third. Then it's Ryan Barber, Coute now Angus
Slawford here, Kitty Kitty, they're in the mix now behind
the top pot with the back straight away on thunder Ally.
Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
You can see it there.
Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
Everybody's battling a little bit of tightness coming off turns
number one and two, and you know Wes.
Speaker 1 (01:01:34):
Right before that restart, I.
Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
Said, another car combo that's really good here at the
Rock is the nineteen eighty seven cup cars that this
place in the eighty seven cup cars. This is my
style of racing, especially with the single files, and you
really got to watch what you're doing and really get
on the brakes, get off the gas, let the car
settle before you get back on the gas.
Speaker 1 (01:01:55):
Eighty seven's around this track. Definitely a fun combo if
you haven't right, it's really fun.
Speaker 2 (01:02:01):
Especially all the people out there that are on I
race and you're doing well.
Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
Hum beerfore traffic up the right say they're gonna get
We're gonna go three white again, three wide. Oh baby Wulf.
Speaker 5 (01:02:12):
It's in the background watching this.
Speaker 3 (01:02:14):
Lawford is slicking his child squeeze and saying, let me
in here. I want to get in the battle. He
goes high, goes around barbar Willie. Yes he will on
the height side of three and four.
Speaker 2 (01:02:29):
But you want to talk about putting your kohonas on
the dash and sticking to the outside, That's exactly what
ingus Lawford did. He put him up on the dash
and said, hold my beer, I'm gonna show you what
this number fifty two can do?
Speaker 3 (01:02:42):
What you got? Puck her up? Buttercup. Time to go Lawford,
Lawford and now Barber going again? Here? Can they pit?
Can they? Can they go to the distance? I'm going
to ring last time a lot of a pitted with
sixty nine to seventy four. Part of me wants to
(01:03:05):
say they could go to the distance, but I could
be wrong here, Dylam, what do you think?
Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
I'm thinking they're gonna have to pit one more time
in this race to get everything going.
Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
You're gonna see.
Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
If I just can't see if anybody has said anything
about the fuel ratios looking at the track notes here
so far, not looking at fuel windows. Is they just
let you know exactly how many.
Speaker 1 (01:03:33):
Or tires you left?
Speaker 3 (01:03:35):
We get a light race caution. It will change anything.
Speaker 1 (01:03:42):
Nothing about what's gonna happens.
Speaker 2 (01:03:47):
Yeah, it definitely doesn't say anything about how many laps
they can go on a tank of fuel.
Speaker 1 (01:03:50):
But if I remember correctly.
Speaker 2 (01:03:52):
You you you're gonna be cutting it close. They're definitely
gonna have to be pitting again. I mean lap sixty.
Speaker 5 (01:04:01):
Nine from Jamie Davis and Lola that could.
Speaker 3 (01:04:03):
Have worked together.
Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
Yeah, yeah, I think we're gonna see a late race
call or not caution, but pit stops with at least
twenty to fifteen laps ago or I may even be wrong.
Speaker 3 (01:04:18):
Part of me wants to say this if they, part
of me wants to say they can go the distance.
I really do. Now, if you pin it around seventy three,
seventy four, I think you're okay. Lap sixty nine, eh,
I think you're gonna be on fuse that. That's my prediction. Now.
(01:04:40):
If we get a late race caution, if we well
Douglas Project thirty six, oh boy, there's Lawford again fighting
for fifth and sixth. If if we get a late
race caution Dylan, which could happen, tires are getting slick
the tracks some bras and it could happen. If we
get that, then I gotta feeling everybody's coming down to
(01:05:02):
the pit lane. And if they don't think of pitting
the ones that were like around lap sixty nine or so,
we're gonna have to because they are gonna have to
get fueled. I don't think they could go to the distance.
Speaker 1 (01:05:18):
Yeah, I don't think so either.
Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
Iste Dal gets around Aaron Borg a little bit of
a misstep to the right for the number fifty five machine,
but he's gonna be able.
Speaker 1 (01:05:28):
To get through to it.
Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
But while we were watching David Douglas and Lawford, Douglas
got loose again coming off turns number three and four,
tagged the fifty two of Lawford. He kind of went
up into the outside wall.
Speaker 1 (01:05:41):
He's able to keep it straight.
Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
Everybody trying to find the grip that they need to
get around this.
Speaker 1 (01:05:47):
Slippery race track.
Speaker 2 (01:05:48):
It's it's the track timp is one hundred and eleven
degrees out here, Wes. So it's definitely not something that
is good on the tire wear.
Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
But this is what drivers are made of. Right here.
Speaker 2 (01:06:00):
You can definitely tell who's and saving the stuff and
who can run on this hot, slick, greasy track.
Speaker 3 (01:06:08):
And you're gonna notice lap after a lap, pushing these
trucks to the limit, pushing up as high as you
can without hitting the wall. And guys are gonna hit
the wall. They're gonna get scurvy, they're gonna get sideways,
they're gonna be dirt tracking it. You're gonna start seeing
slide jobs and crawl servers. Look at this again, watch them,
(01:06:29):
they're already getting sideways. Coming off with three and four there, Dylan,
watch the exit of turn two again.
Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
Well, you can see there they're just trying to find
all the grip. Andy Barber a little bit loose, not
as bad as what I thought he was gonna be
running that super high lane. And like I said earlier
in the broadcast, West, the outside lane has a lot
of momentum, and you gotta keep the momentum up by
giving it a little bit more throttle the way you
would down on that inside.
Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
Oh yeah, so.
Speaker 2 (01:06:57):
You're gonna burn up a little bit more tireware than
what you normally would. But the fast lane is on
that high side if you want to make all your passes.
That's where we've seen it here tonight the majority of
the time on that outside.
Speaker 3 (01:07:09):
Nathan, we're closing in on twenty laps to go your pick.
Brad Newman is up in front.
Speaker 6 (01:07:14):
I just don't know if he can keep holding it
off because he pitt last time. But he's already at
sixty nine laps.
Speaker 3 (01:07:21):
He pitted it at lap sixty nine. That's the last
time he pitted.
Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
Aaron Dorman right behind the number one N four of
Ryan Barber. He's gonna get down to his inside. He's
gonna keep him on us. He's gonna try to get
on around him. But it might not be enough as
I think. Maybe Ryan Barber might just.
Speaker 1 (01:07:49):
Let him go. That's gonna be out, but a caution.
Speaker 3 (01:07:52):
Wow, there it is, streams it out is when we
talked about Mark Fluffy grub Car has put out a
yellow flag. This changes everything. When eighteen to go, when
they come to the line, watch the seventy three.
Speaker 5 (01:08:11):
Oh it's just a contact.
Speaker 3 (01:08:13):
He got into another Project thirty six machine. I want
to say, that's chute. Brandon Griffiths collected, Oh no, oh,
lookod how about Frencher going through the middle man? Talk
about the partner the red seas out of the bottle.
(01:08:33):
Watch again in real time here Dylan, watch this. Look look, look,
look a look a little bit.
Speaker 1 (01:08:38):
Oh man, that's what you call. If you blinket, you
miss it.
Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
But on the bride side, if anybody wants any member,
bill you go on down to the thirty third thirty
six pit. Still he's going to have that right front
or the left front fender autograph signed it chopped up,
ready to go for all the kids and adults that
want to have a little bit of fron jacked thirty
six membabilia. All you gotta pay his five dollars man
(01:09:04):
clarity a piece of membilia.
Speaker 1 (01:09:06):
That's right, man, I would take that.
Speaker 3 (01:09:08):
Here comes everybody, And when I mean everybody, I mean everybody.
It is the money stop. It is the most important
pit stop of the season right here, as our producer
just setting our ear, Dylan, you gotta be flawless. You
gotta have a perfect pit stop. And that's exactly where
we're watching right now.
Speaker 2 (01:09:31):
Yeah, this is gonna be the good stop here. This
to do is looking on board at Newman in his pit.
Here comes Holdsworth. Is he making his way into pit lane?
Everybody gonna be able to take their last yep, Newman.
Speaker 3 (01:09:51):
The race off pit road sees Newman, Barber, Lawler, Borg
Gless your top five coming off of the pit lane.
Brad Newman's already locked into the advance of the Championship four.
But by god, old Miley sing it, Dylan, it doesn't
mean he can't win again. Holdsworth still on pitt Road
(01:10:14):
in the.
Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
Eighth Yeah, yeah, Brad Newman wants to take zero prisoners.
Speaker 1 (01:10:19):
He wants to make sure everybody knows that he is here.
To stick.
Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
But with that being said, Wes, I want to thank
everybody out there who is watching on YouTube, Twitch and
a Facebook. Want to give a big shots everybody who
tunes in here tonight. Want to give a big shout
out to Nitro Racing for coming on board and sponsoring
this series on the A and E Truck Series on
exclusively on the Australian NASCAR E Series YouTube channel. I
(01:10:46):
want to thank everybody out there who's following along commenting.
Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
Who their favorite driver is.
Speaker 2 (01:10:51):
If you guys want to, you guys can hit the
like button, hit the subscribe button, turn on all belt
notification so you guys don't miss anything that the Australian
NASCAR E Series has to offer every Thursday night, every
other Sunday night and every Tuesday night here on Australia
NASCAR East Series.
Speaker 3 (01:11:08):
Yeah that's right, don't forget. Next month, next Tuesday night,
next Thursday night, like tonight, will be the championship rices
the Australian NASCAR E Series bmg X series the trucks.
They will be decided at Phoenix and then that Sunday night,
November the ninth, the championship for the Australian National championship
(01:11:33):
will be at Homestead. Back to green, fifteen to go,
still got plenty of rights left with neban on the
gas and turn two down thunder rally there, Dylan.
Speaker 2 (01:11:43):
This is the point in the race where you don't
even want to consider saving tires. You want to be
on that go or flight mode right now. And that's
what Andy Barber's doing up there in the number five machine.
He is on a flight mode right now. He wants
to get around this track as quick as he as
quick as he possible.
Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
We can same with Aaron Borg. He's on the same
strategy as well.
Speaker 2 (01:12:04):
He wants to get himself up there and lock himself
in with a wind. But it's one thing to catch somebody,
west's totally different to pass them. In one thing we
both have seen all season long. Brad Newman will make
that truck as white as the track, o Let.
Speaker 3 (01:12:19):
But look at this big water truck's bottling behind second.
That's third through what eighth, ninth position? Storm threwing one
wrong move, but you got calamity. That's tw and Borg
and Lawford and Douglas and Lawlork and Davis, they're all
fighting for it like it's the last piece of candy
(01:12:41):
in the Halloween bucket for your trigger treads as they
work off four.
Speaker 5 (01:12:46):
He swam righting off the.
Speaker 3 (01:12:48):
Safer barrier and the caution is out. The purple machine
dormant in trouble.
Speaker 6 (01:12:54):
Oh Dorman, I don't look like nobody got contact.
Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
Unbelievable, as one would say, you can't park there. Wow,
But that was a violent hit that Dorman took.
Speaker 3 (01:13:10):
Did the tire blow? Did he go too high and
lost control? Watch this again, Eric Dorman, and he does
going to the fence, and it was just in the
perfect place. Took rim right off the safer barrier until
he crossed the start finished line, and then he still
goes on his side until going upside down there.
Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
Unbelievable, Dylan, I've never seen that.
Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
I think Aaron Dorman took a page out of Clinton
Boyer's handbook there.
Speaker 1 (01:13:38):
Wanted to finish upside down or on his side.
Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
But he's still got a couple more laps to finish
before he could do that.
Speaker 1 (01:13:44):
A little bit loose over correction capal, you know.
Speaker 3 (01:13:47):
Whatever, body me up? Remember do you remember the movie?
Remember the movie Strok a race with Burt Reynolds. Yep,
I was in the car. That's the way he how's
that for spectacular? If you remember when he was running
Charlot for the finale, Yeah, like a cow? How's this respectacular?
Crossing the start finish line up on the wall upside down?
(01:14:10):
That's exactly what Dorman just did. By the way, Holdsworth
back on road again, so is Griffiths, and we set
ourselves up for what what have we got an eight
lap shootout? Don lap shootout coming up?
Speaker 1 (01:14:28):
Yeah, it looks to be about that.
Speaker 2 (01:14:31):
You're gonna have a I think it's gonna be a
single foul restart. But looking at the playoff standings as
of right now, Holdsworth, Borg, Ryan and Barber are gonna
be your top four.
Speaker 1 (01:14:45):
Borg is sitting p three, Lawford is sitting fifth.
Speaker 3 (01:14:51):
Ninth.
Speaker 1 (01:14:53):
Yeah, oh, this could be a big point shake up
here and for the.
Speaker 3 (01:14:58):
Long might be front. Yeah, you're right, Ryan, Ryan had
been up in front for a long time and now
he's fell back into the top ninth position. So Jamie Davis,
by the way, is in eighth. He's in position eight
on the playoff bracket. Also, yeah, he has to win
to get in pretty much have been.
Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
He's got to win, So yeah, Jamie Davis I believe
Jamie Davis and Angus Lawford are both in must win conditions.
Speaker 1 (01:15:28):
But it is NASCAR.
Speaker 5 (01:15:31):
Anything it has out free is out tide.
Speaker 3 (01:15:37):
Who was out.
Speaker 5 (01:15:40):
Curtis in fre.
Speaker 3 (01:15:41):
Remember understanding, Yes, Riley Curtis and Tom Frere are out.
So that's really gonna make it interesting because they came
in positive three to the good negative I'm sorry, negative
three and negative eight. So we me and me and
me and Dylan got a feeling that the four that
you see up in the Championship four are gonna be
(01:16:02):
the ones to advance unless somebody pulls a rabbit out
of a hat goes for a hell Mary, We're about
to find out. Double file restart here, run concluded. We're
concluding our seventh caution here, Dylan eight laps to go,
still in regular race distance on lap one, twenty eight
(01:16:24):
pace cards in. We're about to go back to green
at the rock.
Speaker 1 (01:16:27):
My friend Party's got the green flag in his hand.
Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
Brad Newman fires off on that inside. A little bit
of wheel spin from a couple of the drivers, but
everybody's going to be able to keep a single file
good as Borg takes over Pee number two, double file
through the pack off turns number one and two hard
on the outside wall. Believe that was Jamie Davis or
(01:16:51):
Lawford as just a lot of cars just trying to
get wherever they can, but borg trying.
Speaker 1 (01:17:01):
To do something to catch up to that number one.
Speaker 3 (01:17:03):
Here he goes, look at this three wide again, hold on,
that's the fifty to a law Ferd in the middle.
All this going on down the back straight away out
thunder roully. Back up to that twenty five. Decrease the
bank and keep an eye by truck of David Lawler.
Keep an eye also on Coutte. Now they're coming to
the front. Dave Douglas, he had some problems earlier. What
(01:17:25):
a great truck that's been strong in weeks of late
the number ten trying to get him the top five,
but down five to go next time. Buy on the
back straight away the leaders are Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:17:36):
The head of Dave Douglas.
Speaker 2 (01:17:37):
He's not running for the championship, but is having fun
out there racing with everybody.
Speaker 1 (01:17:42):
He got out of the booth, put himself.
Speaker 2 (01:17:44):
Down there in the race truck this season and you
can just tell Wes just by how he races. He's
having so much fun out there with everybody driving these tracks.
Aaron Borg under heavy pressure from the number five of
right or Andy Barber. Andy Barber back down to the inside.
Speaker 1 (01:18:03):
He's gonna try to take over pe number two, by.
Speaker 3 (01:18:05):
The way, keeping an eye on Jamie Davis, Ryan Barber
their seventh and tenth and we're three wide. Douglas on
the bottom, he thought about it, thrending the needle four
and to go with the rockets four miles remaining their
inturn number two.
Speaker 2 (01:18:20):
Yeah, Dave Douglas is trying to get and find any
way to get around Coutadal into the outside wall for
another time. But it's gonna be Dave Douglas down to
that inside try to get around Cutadal and the number
fifty two of Ingus Lawford Lawford Borg nose to tail
(01:18:41):
third and fourth. Good points day for both of these drivers.
Just wants to bring it home in one piece.
Speaker 1 (01:18:47):
And now Dave.
Speaker 2 (01:18:47):
Douglas gonna try to get a little two for going
into turns umber three and four.
Speaker 3 (01:18:51):
Naything this is going on behind the leader, Brad Newman,
look at this storm coming out of three and four
to two to go.
Speaker 6 (01:18:57):
Oh yeah, I think name is not even worried about
behind him he's just looking in front, not even looking back.
Speaker 3 (01:19:04):
And remember he's already advanced to the championship for But
there's nothing wrong with keeping on winning. P one contact
truck loose, doubleass sideways, another truck sideways, turk truck said
number four, Timo blood down front nose and I'm a
safer barrier. Who truck makes contact, they throw with caution, nothing,
(01:19:26):
no white flock. Final time around, Bred Newman leading.
Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
Brad and Newman final lap. This race is gonna be
official with the way that it runs. We thought there
was gonna be a caution with Tim Blundell getting loose
and spinning it out in turns number three and four,
But off turns number three and four for the final time,
Brad Newman.
Speaker 6 (01:19:47):
We got that.
Speaker 1 (01:19:50):
Stretch. He's gonna go ahead and take home the win.
Speaker 2 (01:19:53):
Andy Barber and p number two and running at your
top three is gonna be Aaron Borg here at the rock.
Speaker 3 (01:20:00):
Brad Newman burning it down. He's already looked like he's
drifted there. He looked like an audition past and furious
to a little tokyo drift. He's already going to the
championship round. He's going to Phoenix to race for a title.
But now he's won two straight playoff races or at
(01:20:23):
least two playoff races in the Round of eight, race
number one, Race number three and truck number one. Make
note doubt is calling his shot, if you will, with
one race remaining in the season, Dylan McDonald, Brad Newman
(01:20:45):
wants to be number one. One thing for certain. He's
number one tonight here.
Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
At the Rock, absolutely drove an amazing race with from
one lap down, a backup to the lead and got
the win. As we have the final standings up on
the screen, go go ahead and read these down and
after that I get a quick message from our sponsors
and commercials. Is gonna be Brad Newman with the race
(01:21:12):
win here tonight. Andy Barber in his second third is
gonna be Aaron Borg. Fourth, is gonna be Angus Lawford, fifth,
Cout Dowe sixth, Dave Douglas seventh, Ryan Barber, eighth, David
Lawler ninth, Jamie Davis running out to top ten is
gonna be Brian Blundell eleventh, Jason Holdsworth twelfth, Tim Blundell thirteenth,
(01:21:33):
Trent Level fourteenth, Tom Pritchard fifteenth, Brandon Chuch Griffiths. Sixteenth
is gonna be Lee Davis seventeenth, Aaron Dorman eighteenth is
gonna be Mark Grocott.
Speaker 3 (01:21:44):
The rest of the finishing order will find Matt Raymond
Tom Freer. How will it shake out? Normally they try
to give us at Australia Nascary Series race control for
the trunks and Nicfinity who the Championship four are before
we go off the air. I'm sure we will. He'll
end up twentieth. Is it enough? Riley Curtis? By the way,
(01:22:05):
twenty first Jared Gilbert did not start the race, so
twenty one trucks credited for starting this race. When we
were having this discussion before we came on the air,
Jason Holdsworth, I know he finishes eleventh, but is it
enough to advance into the Championship four from second? We
(01:22:26):
think so. We'll see what happens with the other positions.
But obviously, Brad Newman, I'll tell you what Nathan you
called a shot. You said he was gonna be the
guy to win this thing. And what a strong truck
that number one Chevrolet was here.
Speaker 6 (01:22:40):
Oh yeah, I think I'm not jumping straight to conclusions,
but I'm thinking I'm thinking, I don't know, I don't
know some of Aaron Borg. He's asked the pretty fast too,
not gonna lie. He was on his tail the entire time.
Speaker 3 (01:22:53):
Yeah, the Barbers. Dylan looked really, really good as well.
I mean, anybody at any other time that could have
won this. But I think that that statement was made
not only by the number one in the pit stop,
the money stop that we mentioned at lap one nineteen,
when he came down to the pit lane in the
late race caution with under twenty to go, he got
(01:23:14):
back up in front. He never looked back, and he
can I say this as well to Dylan. He had
flawless restarts in those last remaining moments of the race.
Big kudos to Brad Newman, obviously, we'll see what he
can do to try to close the chapter and being
champion next Thursday.
Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
Absolutely, right before we get the drivers in here, we're
gonna go ahead, take a little bit of a break,
get some liquids on our throats, get our voices back,
and get our top three into the booth.
Speaker 1 (01:23:44):
But we'll be right.
Speaker 2 (01:23:45):
Back after these quick few messages here tonight.
Speaker 5 (01:23:53):
Let's get the drivers in. But I don't know where
they are.
Speaker 3 (01:23:56):
I think.
Speaker 5 (01:24:00):
It's green room in the bottom. You can grab them
in the green room. Why don't they have the green
room so far away.
Speaker 2 (01:24:06):
From the.
Speaker 3 (01:24:09):
Wow, the green room is all the way down to
the bottom.
Speaker 7 (01:24:11):
May I know the movie right now? Up to where
the voice channels are. That's why there's a thing called
voice channels. It's like two separate voice channels. Can you
guys bring them up?
Speaker 1 (01:24:21):
I cannot. All I can do is move them to
let me try and medical center, driver's room and general.
Speaker 5 (01:24:28):
Chat broadcast booth.
Speaker 7 (01:24:35):
Okay, I should be in there at the moment, and
I'm still waiting for Newman, but we're in a network
time that, guys, We'll be waiting for the graphics till
at the end.
Speaker 5 (01:24:45):
Guys, I'll let you know in your ear.
Speaker 7 (01:24:46):
When the final graphics are done.
Speaker 5 (01:24:50):
Plus, we might have a schedule for next season two.
Speaker 7 (01:24:52):
Anyway, five four, it's up five four three two one.
Speaker 2 (01:25:01):
And that we are back here with the A and
E Truck Series waiting for our race winner to get
in the booth. But we're gonna go jump down to
our second place finisher. That is going to be the
number of five of Andy Barber, Andy one hell of
a race here tonight.
Speaker 1 (01:25:17):
Finishing Peterboro two.
Speaker 2 (01:25:19):
Obviously you wanted to be part of that top eight
to get a chance to win the race and get
yourself locked into the championship.
Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
Four.
Speaker 1 (01:25:27):
Describe how the beginning.
Speaker 2 (01:25:29):
Of the race, the middle in the end of this
race went for you in that number five was shoot.
Speaker 10 (01:25:34):
Well, thanks Dylan. Yeah, now, it's good race overall, and yeah,
I'd probably like to forget the first part of the race,
especially on that first lap. You know, a lot of
wheel spin issues on restarts here tonight, which is expected.
But yeah, I know, we worked through the ty set
and we kind of stayed out a little bit longer
and worked it more towards the end of the stints,
and hopefully we had to set up the end of
(01:25:55):
the race for the third set the stint, and we
seem to that at the right time because it seemed
to kind of hang in there and just tonight Junior
and Borgie with a priority. So yeah, that's that's the
way we were trying to run that tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:26:10):
I'll tell you what, barber Man, a really strong effort
you had tonight. If there was anything that you could
have done differently to try to run down Newman or
you know, to try to win. Obviously, coming off of
that Barbera moment at Talladega last week before it was
taken away. You know, what's your take of just reaching
around this place at the rock and survival. I guess
(01:26:33):
is key here too, wasn't it.
Speaker 10 (01:26:35):
Yeah, that's right, and that's why it's imperative in these
kind of scenarios to really qualify up the front and
start up there, just try and keep out that midpack,
especially with corners. We can get loose on the exits
out of two as well. And yeah, I really got
to look after your stuff and a lot of a
lot of it is risk worth first rewards. So we
kind of felt like we did that tonight and we
(01:26:57):
all worked as a team together, and yeah, we just
couldn't go I'm better and I battled Brad as hard
as I could and the back end of that second
stin and held him off as best as I could.
But yeah, I don't think I could have done anything
else different tonight, and we had a fast car and
it got got there on the podium in the end,
so we're quite happy with that.
Speaker 2 (01:27:17):
Well, Buddy, we enjoyed having you up here and running
a phenomenal race here in the number five machine.
Speaker 1 (01:27:23):
But before we let you get out of here, celebrate
the second place finish.
Speaker 2 (01:27:27):
If there's anybody on the number five machine, they'd give
a shout out to the floor.
Speaker 1 (01:27:31):
Is yours?
Speaker 10 (01:27:32):
Yeah, no worries, just shout out to our sponsors RBI
Trading Cards, Missus, Excel Garage, Sydney Pool Servicing, Slack Street,
Carbis twist X as well. Thanks to you guys up
in the broadcast booth and everybody involved in the league
admin that makes this happen. The commentators Wesley, he's great
to watch afterwards. I'm sure he wakes his neighbors up
at six am in the morning and yeah, just shout out.
Speaker 3 (01:27:56):
I have a sound have a sound proof room.
Speaker 6 (01:27:59):
I pro you you all right.
Speaker 10 (01:28:02):
I didn't know if you I didn't know if you're
unlike Acreate or not, but I was hoping you were
so but yeah, no, I'm just Lastly, my parents and
my mom down from Brisbane shot out and loved to
her and yeah no, the Capital off will just give
a shout out and a happy birthday to Chase Boogey's
younger follows. So you probably hear more on that.
Speaker 1 (01:28:21):
Light up there.
Speaker 2 (01:28:22):
You go, all right, well, that's going to do her
for second place finisher. Here tonight at the Rock, we're
now joined by our race sweater. That's going to be
the number one of bad Brad Newman. Brad, you started
on the pole, not sure if you had a penalty there.
Speaker 1 (01:28:40):
Towards the middle or first.
Speaker 2 (01:28:41):
Segment of that race, you went down pit lane, you
got put one lap down, you got your lap back
with that, uh that caution, and it was kind of
go time.
Speaker 1 (01:28:51):
From there.
Speaker 2 (01:28:52):
You strategically made your way up to the front and
that's where you were the rest of this race.
Speaker 11 (01:28:59):
Thanks so that, mate. Yeah, the penalty was with the
guys that sayed on our old tires. You might have
recalled one of them spinning or a couple of them
spinning when they went up the track. I got to
pass it on the inside penalty. So it's just one
of those things that can't do anything about just happens.
Speaker 3 (01:29:16):
Well, when that happened, Brad, obviously, did that puts you
in a different stealth mode? Right? Was you frustrated or
was it just I got a really strong truck and
I'm going to show you guys how good my truck
is right. I mean, you know you're going to the
championship four. But I guess it's that thirst of winning,
(01:29:39):
continuing to win, and wanting to continue to keep winning. Right.
Congratulations by the way on career win twenty three tonight.
Speaker 11 (01:29:47):
Thank you. Yeah, no, nothing changed. It's a long race
and people were all over the place. I always knew
to be a chance for lucky dogs or plenty of them,
So yeah, nothing really changed, just save as a lice.
Speaker 1 (01:30:00):
Well, Brad, you ran a phenomenal race.
Speaker 2 (01:30:02):
Obviously you're getting ready to gear up for the championship
race next week at Phoenix. Can't wait to see what
you have to show these gentlemen and everybody out here
on the racetrack next week. But Brad, if there's anybody
on that number one machine you'd like to give a
shout out to the.
Speaker 1 (01:30:17):
Floor is yours.
Speaker 11 (01:30:20):
Thanks mate, I'm just you guys as always for putting
these events on the guys that loves a sports.
Speaker 6 (01:30:24):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:30:26):
All right, there's gonna be a race winner here tonight,
bad Brad Newman starting on the pole, getting the race win,
Gonna go ahead and move on board.
Speaker 1 (01:30:35):
To our third place finish here. That's gonna be the
number forty three Aaron Borg.
Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
Aaron, you tried the triumphs of you wanting to get
this race win. You thought you had it in the bag,
but that late race caution and then with Brad being
on somewhat newer tires, what more did you need to
try to rush down the back of the number one
and five to get your next victory here to like
(01:31:02):
yourself into the playoffs?
Speaker 3 (01:31:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 12 (01:31:05):
Thanks, guys. I think Brad was probably just a bit
too quick for us all day, so all night and yeah,
I'd try adjusting the truck through the pit stops and
got it to a good point, but then I probably
just went a little bit too far in that last
pit stop and just made it a bit too loose,
which which is a bit hard to stay stay with
them at the end there, But yeah, it's still good fun.
Speaker 3 (01:31:27):
Aaron. Do you feel like since you can't win the
race and at one time you led, you were really strong,
but do you feel like you've done everything in your
power to put yourself into the championship?
Speaker 12 (01:31:42):
For yeah, that was obviously the main thing to try
and get into that always gone for a win, but
to be honest, I didn't get any laps where I
jumped in tonight on the serve because it's my little
boy's first birthday, so we're doing a fair bit for
that tonight. And yeah, so I didn't lost it, and yeah,
good to run out the front.
Speaker 3 (01:32:02):
For everybody that's got birthdays, Can I give a shout
out to my dad? My dad's got a birthday today today,
his his uh sixty second birthday, So happy birthday, Dad,
I love you. He's probably in bed right now. And
I think Nigel, Nigel Sadel's mom is also celebrating a
birthday too, So Nigel's mom birth birthday day? Here you go.
(01:32:25):
Nothing like being close to Halloween babies, right, double the candy.
I'm a stommer, Colleen.
Speaker 2 (01:32:34):
Yeah, but mister Aaron, you ran a great and phenomenal
race here tonight. You can be too mad about the
P three here tonight.
Speaker 1 (01:32:43):
You you did what exactly what you needed to do.
Speaker 2 (01:32:46):
You led some laps, you kept it up towards the friday,
you kept the kark lean as best as you possibly
could with those restarts. But if there's anybody on the
number forty three machine, you'd like to give a shout
out to the floor's yours.
Speaker 12 (01:32:59):
Yeah, thanks, to you guys as always for putting on
the show and keeping us all entertained. And yeah, thanks
to the guys that s stars a Sports Tom Mandy run.
Always good fun having a chat with them while I
think so yeah, looking forward to next week.
Speaker 2 (01:33:15):
All right, that's going to do it for our top
three here tonight, Wesley. One hundred and thirty six laps
up and down. We thought we were going to have
that green white checker there towards the end with Tim
Blundell getting in the outside wall, but the leader crossed
the star finished line before the caution was able to
be out and made it all the way official the total.
Speaker 1 (01:33:38):
Distance, no laps added. Any takeaways for this race here, Wes, Well.
Speaker 3 (01:33:45):
The suspense is killing me to find out who were
going to the championship for. But but Nathan Son, what's
your take of what we saw on this race? What
was your thoughts of the event at the Rock?
Speaker 6 (01:33:57):
The event at the Rock? As I'm saying, Brad Newman,
he's got a fast truck, Aaron Borg, He's got a
fast truck, so if he could figure out something different
to keep it up front, because I know that y'all
were saying Aaron Borg had to leave for a little bit.
I know Brad Newman had to leave for a little
bit too. You and he finished. But if that, I
feel like it's gonna come down between them two in
(01:34:19):
the championship. I don't know. I could be over a Zadrove,
but I think it's gonna come down between them two.
Speaker 3 (01:34:24):
You here, you got well Son. It's been a pleasure
being able to have you join me whenever you whenever
you can. Obviously all right, trum roll till it can't
afford the real sound effects there it is. It really
didn't changed that much.
Speaker 1 (01:34:46):
Yeah, it did not change at all. You have the
top four that stayed up.
Speaker 2 (01:34:51):
There are the ones that are going to make it
to the final four. It's gonna be Brad and Newman,
Jason Holdsworth, Aaron Borg, and Ryan Barber gonna be your
fire four contestants battling for a championship in one week's time.
Speaker 1 (01:35:06):
Place your bets, go to Vegas. Do what you gotta do,
get those picks in early.
Speaker 2 (01:35:11):
We're gonna probably have a pull up on the YouTube
chat next week to see who your favorite driver is
to take away this next this season two championship.
Speaker 3 (01:35:20):
There you go, well there it is, and ladies and gentlemen,
there is nothing but championship races left. One more race
who no remains for any of the series for the
Australian NASCAR ET Series Championship Sunday program that'll wrap up
at Homestead, Miami and then of course next Thursday, next Friday,
(01:35:42):
Phoenix Raceway. By the way, let me clarify to Dylan
and closing, I was told that this is the new
Phoenix Raceway with the dog leg and the reconfiguration, just
changing the track itself is gonna make a pretty wild
race I think next Tuesday and Thursday night, sir.
Speaker 2 (01:36:04):
Oh, absolutely, especially everybody that's gonna be taking the dog
leg and having to come back up on the race track.
You gotta watch your surroundings going down and coming back up.
It is not the driver's responsibility on your outside that
is taking the track to give your room to come
back up.
Speaker 1 (01:36:19):
So if you're going to take that dog leg, you definitely.
Speaker 2 (01:36:21):
Gotta make sure there's nobody hugging that white line going
across the star finish line. Otherwise, yeah, you're gonna be
on the outside wall looking back at the other trucks
going around you.
Speaker 1 (01:36:33):
So Phoenix, Love Phoenix. It's a great track. It's definitely
gonna be some fun.
Speaker 3 (01:36:39):
And I'm gonna tell you what to Dylan to add
to that. If you thought the restarts were crazy and
chaotic tonight at the Rock, wait until you see what
they do at Phoenix. I mean, like you said, they're
gonna be gunning out of turn four coming to speed
at start finish, They're gonna be going through the dog
leg heading to turn one, and they're gonna be going
(01:37:01):
They got a choice. They can go up against the wall.
They could stay in the middle of the groove. They
can go below the apron. They can bondsie off the
bottom of the racing surface. If they choose to, we
might hell see five or six wide. That's how crazy
and chaotic Phoenix is. You see it in reality, you'll
see it this weekend in the NASCAR Championship three for
(01:37:23):
the Trucks, Infinity and Cup to decide their champions and
we'll have the virtual Championship races there next Tuesday and Thursday.
Dealing always a fun time working with you, my friend.
It's gonna be fun.
Speaker 1 (01:37:37):
Oh absolutely, it's always gonna be fun.
Speaker 2 (01:37:41):
As get ready to close out here, as everybody's getting ready.
Speaker 1 (01:37:44):
To wind down for the night.
Speaker 2 (01:37:46):
But man can't wait to see what the championship has
to offer for us next week.
Speaker 1 (01:37:52):
I believe what they're gonna.
Speaker 2 (01:37:53):
Do is have us not do on the initial starts
or restarts. Can't go down below that dog leg and
take that away as getting ready to close it on up.
Speaker 1 (01:38:05):
But that's gonna do it for myself and West Outland
and Nathan.
Speaker 2 (01:38:10):
I went out there in the broadcasters words, make sure
you guys take care brush your hair, brush your.
Speaker 3 (01:38:17):
Hair, and go to bed.
Speaker 6 (01:38:20):
There ain't no sense and brushing your hair and then
going to bed, because when you wake up in the morning,
just go BedHead. Oh wow, I mean, I'm just speaking facts.
Speaker 5 (01:38:30):
An ending the stream last words. All right, that's it,
that's all right, right on time.
Speaker 3 (01:38:39):
Take care of brush your hair, rush your teeth, rush
your teeth, take care of brush your teeth.
Speaker 1 (01:38:48):
Well, I'm bald, so it's fitting.
Speaker 2 (01:38:51):
Oh wow, I got I got her calling me, so
I'm gonna hop off here and call her back.
