the other towns do, but thatshould be their people's decision to make,
and ours should be our own.Since the mayor declared a state of emergency,
the rules change, so technically hecould make an executive order to take
the shroud down. The High Councilisn't likely to care about that, so

that's out right. The other wayemergency decisions are handled, according to Water's
Edge Law, is by calling foran emergency vote. You get signatures of
fifteen percent of the registered voting publicand you can rush a vote in as
little as two weeks. So weget enough supporters to call for an emergency
public vote campaign for the removal ofthe shroud, beat them by a huge

margin, and then they'll have nochoice but to take it down. It's
not a bad idea, Lizzie,although I do worry about the way the
High Council does things. They don'tseem to care about how our systems work
here alrightywhere else for that matter.But they claim to be democratic. So
while that all towns vote was clearlynot, calling for an emergency vote will

force them to either let the votehappen and allow the democratic process to play
out, or it'll out them asthe dictators that they want to be.

What's that Let's make the High Counciltake down the shroud. That's a tall
order, although I imagine that's notthe end of your proposal. We need
to force a public vote on them. The majority of Water's Edge citizens don't

want to be cut off from therest of the world. Maybe some of
the other towns do, but thatshould be their people's decision to make,
and ours should be our own.Since the mayor declared a state of emergency,
the rules change, so technically hecould make an executive order to take
the shroud down. The High Councilisn't likely to care about that, so

that's out right. The other wayemergency decisions are handled, according to Water's
Edge Law, is by calling foran emergency vote. You get signatures of
fifteen percent of the registered voting publicand you can rush a vote in as
little as two weeks. So weget enough supporters to call for an emergency
public vote campaign for the removal ofthe shroud, beat them by a huge

margin, and then they'll have nochoice but to take it down. It's
not a bad idea, Lizzie,although I do worry about the way the
High Council does things. They don'tseem to care about how our systems work
here alrightywhere else for that matter.But they claim to be democratic. So
while that all towns vote was clearlynot, calling for an emergency vote will

force them to either let the votehappen and allow the democratic process to play
out, or it'll out them asthe dictators that they want to be.
That's yes, Lizzie. If wecould get the turnout and the votes,
it'll back them into a corner forsure. They'll have to take the shroud
down. They'll have no choice.It won't stop them from shrouding other towns

if that's what they want, butit will at least give the Cryptids a
chance to voice their opinions instead ofbeing controlled by a weighted group of representatives.
