In this episode I speak about becoming a trauma-informed educator. More than ever, teachers, principals, district leaders, coaches and staff members must become attuned to the understanding of trauma and how it relates to behavior, actions and attitudes of students and of other adults in any given learning community.
I discuss some of the findings of my work and what I have been teaching in my courses over the past few years. This list of mental health professionals who I have referred to is brief for the purposes of keeping this first episode concise, but there are many wonderful resources in the field.
