MD.

Speaker 6 (01:19):
How you doing tonight, man?

Speaker 8 (01:21):
Oh, I'm trying to rearrange my my office, putting a
lot of new things up. It's not situated. I gotta
put my other pictures up there. You see my billboard
picture in the.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Back there and my kids and stuff. Oh well, you
know I'm chilling.

Speaker 8 (01:41):
Okay, I'm ready make it work out and see who's
who's on here with us today.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
You know, I had to groom my hair up a
little bit, you know. Ah righty, let's get it going.

Speaker 7 (01:55):
We're gonna get it going. Britta Brittall living next to you,
Mi chandelier. How you doing tonight?

Speaker 6 (02:01):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (02:01):
Neil was on stage performing doing this thing, and a
fan came up there. Neil living a life man Dayton
Allegedly Dayton three two or three women at the same time.
A fan jumped on stage, and Neo guided him off
and continued to stay professional while he was performing on stage.

(02:22):
Didn't miss a beat. If this happened to you, Brits,
what would you do? How would you handle it? Would
you handle it the way Neo did? Or would you
do something different?

Speaker 9 (02:33):
Honestly, No, I wouldn't. I'm not putting my hands on nobody.
I'll let my team handle that, you know. I'll just
continue to perform and kind of move out the way.
But I'm sure within like the five seconds, my team
would actually get that person off stage. But for him
to strong arm that person, you already know. We're in
the age of cancel culture and all type of stuff.

(02:55):
You're putting your hands on people. They trying to sue
you ain't nobody got no money out here, and they
trying to get that big wo on how to get
some money. And any celebrity that touched them, you already
know what's going down. You already seen what happened to
Cardi b. So no, I'm not touching on nobody that
gets on stage. So I will not handle it how
Neo did. I will just make sure the team gets
the person off stage. I just back up and like

(03:17):
kind of put my hands up in the air for
two seconds and then continue to do my.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Little dance moves that I'm doing or whatever. And you
know that's that.

Speaker 6 (03:23):
That's what's up. That's what's up.

Speaker 7 (03:25):
Whinnie Brianna, how would you handle it if somebody jumped
on stage while you were performing?

Speaker 10 (03:30):
I definitely agree that cancel culture is definitely prevalament, But
I don't know.

Speaker 11 (03:36):
And he's just so smooth with it. I don't fault
him for doing that.

Speaker 10 (03:40):
So maybe in a Rusheet at the moment, I probably
would kind of react the same way.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
Mm hmm, So you kind of react the same way. Okay, Okay, yeah, okay, MD,
what do you what do you think? MD?

Speaker 8 (03:53):
My take will be, you gotta take your chances, because
when you do a show, you're doing it for your fans,
and you want to interact with your fans. I mean
it's it's kind of really hard, but you got to
take a chance because you don't want your fans to think.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
That you're too good to be close to, especially paying
good money to see you. Right, I agree, you do
have Yeah, you do have fans out there who looking for.

Speaker 8 (04:25):
How could I call it a warfare mentality, trying to
get something for nothing and they'll do anything to get
paid and all that. But you can't let that make
that be afraid of interacting with the audience because it's
gonna take away from yourself.

Speaker 11 (04:45):
I mean, I would want to be cautious. I mean
I've seen a lot of people.

Speaker 10 (04:48):
Getting taken out for situations similar to So you got
to protect yourself first.

Speaker 9 (04:53):
Right, Yeah, Like these are your fans though, and like
you know, these are moments that they dream of and
they're just like man like, I love this person. So
it's like you gotta kind of handle them with care.

Speaker 8 (05:09):
Unless unless you invite them, right, unless you have your
security there at the stage and you point at the
person you want to come up on the stage and
they will help them up. But anybody you tell your security,
anybody else come out, come up without me, invite them
up there, having you export them up to the States
with me knock them out.

Speaker 6 (05:30):

Very good?

Speaker 7 (17:57):
So tell us real quickly about Whitney Brian. What's going
on with you these days?

Speaker 10 (18:01):
The singer slaves rapper and just doing the best I
can out in this corrupted world.

Speaker 11 (18:09):
Combs it up.

Speaker 7 (18:10):
Okay, all right, So you're a singer and a rapper, right, yes,
I do go Okay, which one do you like.

Speaker 6 (18:15):
More than the other?

Speaker 11 (18:17):
I guess it depends on my mood, honestly, Like, if
I'm in a.

Speaker 10 (18:22):
Bad mood, then hey, I'm probably gonna want to rap
if I'm in a more subductive, chill move than singing,
for sure.

Speaker 6 (18:28):
Okay, Okay, that's what's up.

Speaker 7 (18:30):
So so so definitely so you're living in the Las
Vegas area, so house the independent music scene for you
out there in Las Vegas.

Speaker 10 (18:39):
Definitely good. You have a lot of close knit things
and you kind of just circle around in that. But
since I'm so close to Kelly, I'll also kind.

Speaker 11 (18:45):
Of go back and forth. Yeah, the weather here is crazy.
I'm glad summer is over.

Speaker 6 (18:52):
Oh summer.

Speaker 7 (18:53):
Oh yeah, because summer oh yeah, one hundred and five
hundred and six hundred and ten out there in the desert.
Oh yes, it's really crazy hot out there for sure.

Speaker 6 (19:02):
Definitely.

Speaker 24 (19:02):
So.

Speaker 6 (19:02):
So how long you've been doing your thing?

Speaker 10 (19:06):
I'm into your music seriously for about five years now,
so it's been been quite a while, but Evan off, No,
I'm trying to perfect everything.

Speaker 6 (19:16):
Okay, this is your first project or or you got
other product you've had.

Speaker 11 (19:19):
Before, my first project that I'm really trying to push.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
A state like that.

Speaker 7 (19:24):
Okay, Okay, Now we're gonna We're gonna play a record
by you coming up called a poppy. So we're gonna
play that one coming up from you in a few moments,
and I'll ask you about that song before I'm gonna
letter m D and Britta living next to Humans Chandelier
talk to you. So, uh, Britta leven next to you, Shane,
let go ahead and talk to uh uh Whitney Briand.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
Okay, Whitney Brian. I have two questions for you.

Speaker 9 (19:49):
What was your favorite part about working on the project
and what was your least favorite part about working on
this project.

Speaker 10 (20:00):
Part was just the creativity part. I love getting lost
in the music, so I love finding the beat. I
love finding like just the inspiration of it is all
addicting to me.

Speaker 11 (20:12):
The worst part is.

Speaker 10 (20:14):
After getting done, finding out where I want to push
it to and doing the whole business side of it.
Because I'm more of an artist, I just like being
a studio own right, But now I've got to put
on my business at and promoted, et cetera.

Speaker 11 (20:27):
And I gotta say that's like the most annoying part.

Speaker 6 (20:30):
Is mm hmmm.

Speaker 7 (20:32):
Yeah, that business part could be a little annoying for
artists and all that NBA talk to of Whitney Brian, Well.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
I guess you know, this is my first time really
encountering with you. I'd like to know what are your.

Speaker 8 (20:47):
Future plans of you touring across the country to get
yourself introduced to your fan base, you know, from coast
to coast.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Do you have any immediate plans or you wait into
the wakeside of that.

Speaker 10 (21:03):
I'm definitely excited about it, but that's more stuff I'm
trying to get figured out with.

Speaker 11 (21:07):
My team and stuff.

Speaker 10 (21:09):
I think we're more interested of just doing the internet
present first before brunching off. But I'm definitely excited for
when it's time for sure.

Speaker 8 (21:19):
Now another thing, have you ever thought about using ABC
out there in Vegas to promote your career?

Speaker 22 (21:27):
No?

Speaker 11 (21:28):
I haven't actually heard of them, to be honest.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Okay, you know there's a station.

Speaker 8 (21:33):
You know, I have a client he just did an
interview out there in Vegas on ABC for his musical career.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
Thank you to have your people look into that.

Speaker 11 (21:45):
Yeah, definitely, it sounds definitely like something I would be into.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
In fact, have you heard of Big Fever out there
in Vegas?

Speaker 22 (21:54):
Again?

Speaker 6 (21:55):
Big Fever?

Speaker 3 (21:56):
Have you heard of him?

Speaker 21 (21:57):
Mmmm?

Speaker 24 (21:59):
No.

Speaker 11 (22:00):
I kind of stay in my own kind of box.
That's something I'm been working on so I can be
able to collaborate with more people. So that's probably why
I haven't.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
A show like ABC on TV or like what like,
yeah ABC on TV?

Speaker 14 (22:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (22:15):
Okay, well, yeah, I know I know what I was
in sure talking about the like on TV.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
Okay, forgot the radio out there too?

Speaker 7 (22:25):
Yeah, Well, what he's referring to as an artist out
there by be Young Thunder. It's it's a television show
that's on the ABC affiliate out there in Las Vegas,
and they feature independent artists to my understanding out there.
So the fact that we'll be posting that Young Thunder
clip on our social media keyword did radio show coming
up in the day or too soon? As I go
ahead and chop it up for you so you'll get

(22:47):
to see that. So kind of research that out there
for you. Whitney Brianna brand set you out there in
Las Vegas.

Speaker 9 (22:54):
Yeah, from we're info for like you know, okay what
we're talking about, you know?

Speaker 6 (22:58):
Oh yeah, definitely, Yeah, we're gonna make it happen.

Speaker 7 (23:01):
We're gonna make it happen and shout out to Young
Thunder out there in Las Vegas as well. So Whitney Briann,
we're gonna go ahead and play this record a Iye Poppy.
So tell me about this record, Balk before we get
to it.

Speaker 10 (23:12):
As a definitely sensual song, I have been making it
tapping into an element, but I think everybody kind of
relates to at some point in their life.

Speaker 11 (23:20):
So it was just a fun song. It's a fun
club song.

Speaker 6 (23:24):
Okay. So it's a fun song that you made. So
we're gonna get to it right now.

Speaker 7 (23:28):
Let's check out Ie Poppy right here, Whitney, Brian in
the building, y'all the radio show.

Speaker 16 (23:34):
Independent Artists Live here. We got this independent game on
lock chegure it out the radio show.

Speaker 21 (24:02):
I buppy, you want to build on him when he's
going you but your name on it, and maybe you
could build on it.

Speaker 19 (24:17):
But under sad, let's pay about it. Make sure whether
rub is not. I don't want to go up a
couple of times when your home is.

Speaker 5 (24:41):
Kind of like that.

Speaker 27 (24:43):
I had a lumpy, I had nothing, I had nothing love.
I am nothing. I am nothing, nothing about.

Speaker 19 (25:04):

now tomorrow getting.

Speaker 5 (36:57):
Out tomorrow, I swam.

Speaker 7 (37:24):
Wanna jump into another trending topic right about now coming
up we do have played a slave and loving loss
as well.

Speaker 6 (37:30):
Coming up just a little bit as well.

Speaker 7 (37:32):
Now, if you go in the studio with Britt with
your brand new uh uh diamond bra they're making them
tracks and all that stuff. You won't believe who I
found out actually owns the track. It's the producer that
makes the track and the person that pays for the
studio studios, the person that owns the music.

Speaker 5 (37:56):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 6 (37:57):
I did not know that.

Speaker 7 (37:59):
You ain't getting it exactly in the case what Brich
just said, you didn't believe. Here's what I heard from
a recent podcast, someone actually bringing up and talking about
that actual point.

Speaker 6 (38:11):
Here's how that go.

Speaker 16 (38:12):
Whoever pays for the studio time owns the master.

Speaker 26 (38:16):
So if you're an artist and someone invites you to
the studio and they're paying for everything and you jump
on the record, they own the master. That is why
when an artist buys a song they have to submit paperwork,
paying a producer whoever points, and publishing, because now they're
taking ownership of the master.

Speaker 5 (38:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (38:36):
See, I didn't know that. I just learned that from
listening to that, so I figured i'd bring that to
the table. But I'm glad you already knew that, brit
So your thoughts real quick.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
So it's a tricky thing.

Speaker 9 (38:52):
It is a tricky thing technically, but I mean it
is what it is because the studio session does cost money,
you know, So it is what it is.

Speaker 4 (39:00):
So I fifty fifty I agree and I don't, but
it is what it is. You know, it's business. It's
not about your feelings, your personal feelings, you know.

Speaker 7 (39:10):
So, MD you agree that the person that produces the
track and pays what the studio time owns the song.

Speaker 9 (39:18):
Well, definitely the person that produces it makes sense. But
the person that pays that could be a random person
right that friends with you or the producer And it's like,
how how you got the track.

Speaker 7 (39:31):
That I agree, And that's what I was thinking when
I heard that. I said, so you mean that I
could come meet I don't know anything about music. I
can come in there and pay and I own the track.
Is that where we're going with it?

Speaker 3 (39:42):
No, I don't think you own the track. You own
the master.

Speaker 6 (39:47):
Okay, that's a that's a that's a difference.

Speaker 8 (39:51):
It's tricky. Like Britt just said, it's tricky if you're
executive producer, that's what you're talking about. That's the man
who pays the bill. He owned the masters unless he's
under contract with the label. And the song is still
owned by the songwriters and the publisher. Yeah, and the

(40:17):
artist doesn't own anything unless they are the writer of
the song and they do own the publishing for his
a hersh song. But yes, the master is owned by
the executive producer until you pay him off for the
session that you did it.

Speaker 7 (40:37):
So, in other words, I could be going around owning
all kinds of masters if I go ahead and.

Speaker 6 (40:41):
Pay for the studio, you don't own the song own
the masters.

Speaker 3 (40:45):
Yeah, yeah, the master back in the old days with
the tape.

Speaker 6 (40:49):
Right now, it's the flash drive or the CD or whatever.

Speaker 8 (40:53):
They record on the file, They own that until you
pay them for the session, until you pay taking the producer,
or he recooks his money and call it like that,
he recooks his money from the artists.

Speaker 3 (41:08):
Yeah, own the master and only the master, not the
song per se on.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
Michael.

Speaker 9 (41:15):
You need the master though, like you need the master
to break down the performance track, like all types of stuff.

Speaker 4 (41:20):
Like you need that master for different reasons. And if
you ain't got the bag, like it can really hinder
your life because people can hold that over you, you know.
Like that's why I had to figure out, how are
you gonna do this and keep going?

Speaker 9 (41:33):
Because you don't have the bag to really go with it,
like the real bag, not the play bag, you know,
you know where you really out here going to different
radio stations, you know, really getting the promo done. Like
I had to really figure that out until I get
the bag, Like, you know, I'm not gonna let that
stop my dream and what I'm doing, you know.

Speaker 4 (41:52):
So I had to start producing and recording and doing doing.

Speaker 9 (41:56):
It all myself because I had so many people snatching
the rug from up under me, like it was crazy,
and I was just like, man, like I can't do
this anymore, like people holding stuff over my head, you know, like, well,
you don't want to sign with with Interscope, you know,
and I paid for this studio session, you know, like
this is what I want you to do.

Speaker 4 (42:13):
So I'm going to match the rug from up under
you like I had that happen.

Speaker 9 (42:16):
I had this man I'm not gonna say who he is,
you know, no disrespect, but I had this man and
his woman contact my parents trying to get me to
take this deal with Interscope when I was younger, and
all the work that they have put into the studio sessions,
you know, like so, and I had to let all
that go because I didn't pay for none of those

(42:38):
studio sessions.

Speaker 3 (42:39):
I didn't with the deal.

Speaker 8 (42:41):
So correct, because you don't have the masters to reproduce anything, right,
and you can't do that until you pay for the
master or you got a contractual deal with the executive
producer to do certain things to get the music out.

Speaker 34 (43:03):
You know.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
It's tricky, you know, it works all kinds of different ways.

Speaker 8 (43:08):
And you just got to know what you you're putting
yourself through before you make any dumb moves said like that.
You just got you just gotta know, you know, and
there's nothing wrong, because sometimes all is that. The ones
that you know of today, they went through all that

(43:28):
in the beginning, but they didn't care because your main
objective is to get your name out to the public.
And once you get your name out of the public
and you and you sacrifice one or two masters, that's
not gonna hurt you, you know, because now your name
is out there and people are waiting for you, waiting

(43:49):
for your next projects, and now you how to control
that and and those other two projects probably won't go
nowhere because as a artists, you won't perform them on stage,
you know, you won't promote it, you won't do nothing
for that song, and it can't make you do anything.

Speaker 6 (44:10):
Okay, Randy, it's tricky.

Speaker 7 (44:12):
It's tricky, Randy says, if you just sing on the song,
didn't write lyrics, the masters isn't yours to even talk about.

Speaker 4 (44:21):
Okay, but what if you wrote the lyrics?

Speaker 6 (44:24):
Yeah, what if you wrote the lyrics? Then what happens then?

Speaker 3 (44:26):
Who said that?

Speaker 6 (44:27):
Randy?

Speaker 4 (44:28):
Randy Man?

Speaker 6 (44:32):
Okay, big shout out to Randy for what chiming in
on it.
