What's going on? Man? Oh?

Not much. Still try to get things in order. So

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Yeah, getting ready for next year. Man. So we've got
some things coming up, including the return of Industry Connects,
which we're gonna be making happen next year. Man. We
got I guess Gerald Williams, he's in the building right now.
We're gonna be chopping up with him. We definitely want
to go ahead and put R trending topics on the
table tonight. As we get to our trending topics brought
to you by Spotlight three sixty Media. If y'all like

(04:51):
all of the celebrity stuff that I do, make sure
you go ahead and follow right there at Spotlight three
sixty Media on all media platforms. So tonight is an
independent Artist Resource Night, and we're going to give you
some resources for you, you know, in case you're not
using them. If you are using them, don't trip. It's

(05:13):
a refresher for you. So I was listening to a
podcast on well it was more of a podcast an
ig at key on the track, and he was saying
how independent artists can get paid for performing and here's
how you say that will be done and what independent

(05:35):
artists need to do to get paid.

Speaker 12 (05:38):
Okay, So the first thing you want to do is
you want to log into your pro so that's going
to be either ascap dot com or be on my
dot com. Next, you want to go to submit a
set list, and then after that you want to add
the venue, you want to add the city, and you
want to add every song that you perform, and then
after that you want to click submit. They pay live
performance royalties for each song that you perform, even if

(05:59):
the show free. So if you're artist, is a musician,
Run this play, run this hack every time you perform.
I don't care if there's nobody at the venue. I
don't care how small or how big it is, because
you're gonna get paid a couple of months later.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
So that's one thing he said, if an independent artists
can do, they go to they ask Cap and submit
that set list. Go to your pr O, sign up
right there and make sure you send up. You feel
out all the information. They'll pay you for performing at
some of these shows and no matter how big and
how or how small the crowd is. So if you're
an independent artists, you need to go ahead and take

(06:32):
advantage of that. Britt, have you done that?

Speaker 7 (06:36):
I have not, but I need to take it.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
I'm always hitting the stage and all of my stuff
is registered and you can find everywhere.

Speaker 7 (06:43):
So dared are you?

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Are you with ask Gap or being my m C
sandwhiche want of you?

Speaker 13 (06:50):
With a yes, I'm with ask Gap, but I'm signed
to a record label. So it seems like I believe
they got all that taken care of.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
I believe you'll check on that.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
Yeah, check regulabel.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
You get your money, man, make sure you get your money.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Ah, that sounds so much better this week. Sounds so
much better this week, man, and join us. Now. We
got a gospel artist. You gotta bring a little charge
in your life.

Speaker 25 (14:45):
Man.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
We got Jerald Williams in the building. Man, Jerald, how
you doing that? Sir? Hey Jerald Man, so welcome to
the radio show officially, and tell us a little bit
about you what you got going on these days?

Speaker 13 (15:02):
I just finished up a song called Huh the Baby
was God.

Speaker 10 (15:12):
We just finished a video of just a little while ago.

Speaker 13 (15:14):
Like earlier today, I believe for Thanksgiving, I ate too much,
you know, just like you were saying, you know, I
got to unloosen the belt a little bit. You know,
and been in the studio just working real hard on
this Kingdom business stuff.

Speaker 6 (15:30):
So you said you were writing for he was an
R and B artist before, yes, okay. And what it
was in a group or you were solos in?

Speaker 4 (15:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (15:42):
Yeah, no, no, actually I was in a group called
twelve Am, and uh we was.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
From all you know.

Speaker 13 (15:47):
We our group came from Long Beach, California, Okay, And
I think I heard of him, yeah, and we were
being managed by Kelvin Anderson.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
He got Yeah, now twelve Am, I remember twelve Am Yeah, yeah, okay, okay,
Kevin Yesterday.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (16:09):
And if you remember twelve Am, you know that our
music was like way different from gospel.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
Oh yeah, yeah yeah, far god spectrum. Yeah yeah.

Speaker 5 (16:20):
It was a three hundred and sixty degree.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Oh yeah, much much different from gospel definitely, man.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
So what what got you into gospel?

Speaker 10 (16:28):
Well, well, you know, I just I found the Lord. Man.
It was just like I came to a point in
my life, man, where I.

Speaker 13 (16:40):
I was looking for something more man, because what I
found out and understand was like I was in the
world and doing the twelve Am thing, and I was
asking God to bless you know, doing it with the
lights on and stuff like that. Man, I was in
the dark. I was asking God to bless something that
he was not gonna bless. I wasn't in his will.

Speaker 10 (17:03):
So I was just lost.

Speaker 12 (17:05):
Man.

Speaker 13 (17:05):
I thought I was being sincere and I was thinking
God would bless something like that. But you know, knowing
that God is a holy god, He's not gonna bless
anything like that.

Speaker 8 (17:14):
Man.

Speaker 13 (17:15):
And you know, after I got some clarity and start
going to church and stuff, I just realized God, being
a holy God, you got a line up with the
word man in order to be blessed by him. Now
the world blesses too, but then God blesses his as well.
So you know, I just had to figure it out, man,

(17:37):
because one thing that I learned, the most worst thing
about a person being lost is not knowing that they lost,
because if you lost and not knowing that you lost,
you don't know the ever actually be found.

Speaker 5 (17:50):
So who's your label now?

Speaker 10 (17:54):
I'm with in the Spirit Entertainment Records.

Speaker 5 (17:57):
Okay, yeah, have you guys thought about touring churches?

Speaker 10 (18:05):
Well? What now?

Speaker 5 (18:06):
Have you thought about touring churches?

Speaker 10 (18:10):
Yes?

Speaker 13 (18:11):
I would like to, you know, like, yeah, just be Nike,
just do it. So so how would you go about that?
You just start going to churches and accident.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
Basically, Yeah, yeah, that's that's one you could do it definitely. Man,
we got Jered Williams in the building, man.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
For your label representative.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Yeah, yeah, let's go ahead and ask man, Britt, go
ahead and talk to Jared Williams.

Speaker 7 (18:42):
Hey, Rick, Hey, Hey, So I have two different questions
for you.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
What was your favorite part and what was your least
favorite part about working on your project?

Speaker 4 (18:54):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (18:56):
My least favorite part is a writer's block.

Speaker 13 (19:00):
Sometime, like when I get into a room and try
to express myself, it just seems like I don't be knowing.

Speaker 18 (19:07):
What to do.

Speaker 10 (19:08):
I don't know what to say. You know, I man
at that particular time.

Speaker 13 (19:11):
But when I revisited and then I started getting clarity
of what it is I supposed to be writing about
that particular time. And the best thing is being in
where I in the place I am at now. All
the people I used to work with, they was all
talk and I never was getting anywhere. But the people

(19:31):
and the team I'm with now, I'm seeing a manifestation
of everything that I believed in my heart to come true.

Speaker 10 (19:37):
It's coming true now. So I'm feeling real good about that.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
Well, in the future, find you a information.

Speaker 6 (19:49):
Spoken words person to help you collaborate on your lyrical context.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
Okay, yeah, man, well let's check out the single right now. Man,
just to just a little old me, tell us about
the single jail.

Speaker 13 (20:03):
Oh well, well, little old me was. It's just based
around my livelihood.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
You know.

Speaker 13 (20:08):
I come from a background of you know, drug dealers,
my family and stuff, you know, and little old me.
I learned how to pray at a young age man
because I was exposed.

Speaker 10 (20:19):

make that move and do that. We are gonna step away,
take care of some business, will be come back. We

(29:09):
got another music industry resource again. This is resource tonight
tonight as well, so we're gonna put up another resource tonight.
We did as gap earlier. Another resource and how to
make the music go viral. I just learned about this
as well. You don't want to know what I learned.
You'll find out after this. It's going on recently on
the radio show. Here's what Salt had to say when

(29:30):
I asked her how independent artists should learn about the
music industry, particularly the business side.

Speaker 29 (29:36):
Is what she had to say, us industry, fight for
your rights and don't stop fighting.

Speaker 7 (29:42):
Read your contracts, do your due diligence.

Speaker 29 (29:45):
Because you love the music and you love what you do,
but the industry is not gonna love you. You gotta
get people to love you. But the music business is
gonna try and take advantage of you. So make sure
that you take care of yourself.

Speaker 7 (30:00):
By one agree.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Technically the music business is about ten to fifteen percent,
maybe twenty percent talent, and the rest of it is business.

Speaker 23 (30:11):
You know.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
So if you're getting caught up in your art, you know,
and you're not reading the fine print and having the
lawyer read the fine print, you might run into some
trouble eventually in your career.

Speaker 4 (30:25):
You stop bother. The Salt and Pepper Hall of Fame
induction ceremony after party here in Los Angeles, it was
definitely a situation. A lot of the celebrity of courses
in the house, Salt and Pepper costle came through and
made their parents own the red carpet as well, I
called it with a lot of celebrities that got their
thoughts all Salt and Pepper course being adducted to the
rocket as a youngster. You ain't Salt Pepper. This is

(30:45):
the rapper.

Speaker 17 (30:47):
You didn't say female rappers, right, We didn't say that
back in the day, Oh the female rapper.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
No, we said Salt Pepper's we.

Speaker 17 (30:53):
Said Queen Land. We said, well like we say these
type of we didn't. They didn't put them labels on
until later. So they've always had respect from us. Now
that you get respect from everybody else. Now, did you
have a Salt and pepper CD.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
Technic?

Speaker 3 (31:09):
I had a jacket, I had a workout, I had Yes,
I had everything, salt and pepper.

Speaker 4 (31:16):

Speaker 4 (38:31):
I believe I'm not mistaken that one is out right.
Brot that one out.

Speaker 7 (38:40):
Oh my bad. It was on mute. Yes it's out now.
It's on my album called Nostalgia.

Speaker 4 (38:46):
Okay, make sure you scoop Nostalgia up and pick that
one up. That's been it's been out for a while.

Speaker 31 (38:53):
I know.

Speaker 4 (38:53):
I just want to her to say, that's all.

Speaker 6 (38:56):
Promote you know, Okay, two reason I don't want to
drown then your love.

Speaker 5 (39:08):
Indeed, I just want to be for you to read then.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
See that's that's what we're supposed to be doing. Man,
it gets you to learn these songs. Man, DJ Radio,
find you.

Speaker 5 (39:23):
A store somewhere in this country.

Speaker 6 (39:25):
They out there and ask them, we want ninety two
reasons by love an extra human chandelier.

Speaker 4 (39:34):
Exactly. Man, she scooped that up. Man, go ahead and
do what Britt said and go ahead and scoop that music.
Come in, do that, do that?

Speaker 31 (39:41):
Do that?

Speaker 5 (39:42):
Check out the video?

Speaker 4 (39:43):
Yeah, big shout out to the representatives from the Birdhouse
in the background. No, it's it's okay, it's all good. Chill,
I can down on the club outside, man, shout shout
out to both of them in the building right now. Yeah,

(40:05):
for sure, man, we're gonna put another resource out there.
We're gonna put another resource out there real quick. Then
we got played a slant, we got in love and
Lust and we will bounce right on over to the
after party coming up in a little bit as well.
So another resource I want to put out for all
the independent artists out there. And again, if you know
all this stuff already, don't trip potato chip. This is

(40:26):
strictly a refresher for you. So if you want to
get your records out there viral on TikTok, their direct
distribution is sound on all right. That's s O U
N D O N all right. Check out sound on.
It is there direct distributed for TikTok, all right. It
also gets you on all the other other streaming platforms

(40:48):
as well, and and earn your royalties on your music
one hundred percent royalties for the first year, ninety after
that and monthly royalty payouts. Full analytical dashboard as well.
If if you're wondering. Also, again I am not a
Turner music attorney, and it's only doing it for entertainment

(41:10):
purposes only, so you want to go ahead and get
an in depth version to make sure you're get an
attorney to check it out. And again we're just giving
you the information, so go ahead and make sure you
go ahead and do your own due diligence on that
as well, if you choose to sign on with that. Britt,
are you familiar with sound on I am not? Okay?

(41:32):
All right, well that's o U N d o N.
Check that out again. It's direct distributed to TikTok and
if you want out, some of those songs on TikTok
go viral. Pretty pretty pretty sad to assume that's how
they do it. So yeah, and I'm gonna go ahead
and try to check that out for the radio show
because I want some stuff that I'll post to go viral.
So maybe they'll do it more than just on the

(41:53):
artist side, Maybe they do it on the on the
radio show side as well. So we're going to check
that out on my ind and I'll let you know
my progress on that one as well. Yeah, yeah, we
do that.

Speaker 1 (42:04):
We do that.

Speaker 4 (42:05):
We're gonna go ahead and roll run along to our
celebrity interview this week, broad to you by the Spotlight
three sixty Media. Again like that celebrity stuff I do.
Make sure you go ahead and scoop check that out
and go ahead and follow, like follow the whole nine
all right. Due to a technical difficulty the last it
was brought to my attention that last week's interview didn't
go down correctly, So we go run that back tonight

(42:27):
this week. Leilah half the way call it with her.
Recently at an event, here is how that went, like
to here here go.

Speaker 24 (42:35):
Show ribbon and all the red carpets.

Speaker 3 (42:39):
Here's an exclusive celebrity interview.

Speaker 4 (42:41):
You're going in different directions. You're showing different styles of
yourself and your new projects.

Speaker 10 (42:46):
Here.

Speaker 4 (42:46):
Tell me, how are we going to contending that you've
done a particular style throughout the years. You're going to
flipping it up a little bit.

Speaker 20 (42:52):
It's actually the same style to me, But I think
to the average person that only gets to hear you
sing fifteen songs every few years, it may seem like
a new style, but it's.

Speaker 9 (43:02):
Really it's all rooted in black music.

Speaker 7 (43:05):
And that's my foundation.

Speaker 9 (43:06):
So all of it, to me is what it was.

Speaker 4 (43:09):
You happy with the music industry in the way it isn't?

Speaker 8 (43:10):
No, no, why not?

Speaker 20 (43:13):
I mean, it's a lot of things about a lot
of industry in this world I'm unhappy with. I think
that the people that power the industry should be better regarded.
And I think that that's probably true across the board, teachers, nurses.
There are people that work to bring entertainment and arts

(43:33):
and science and peace to people, and I think that
that those people could be better compensated and regarded.

Speaker 7 (43:41):
Leila Hathaway, and you're listening to the radio.

Speaker 23 (43:43):
Show Let's go, Let's go, Let's go with your girl
Britty living next the human chandelier here on the radio show,
and you're listening to Love or Lust?

Speaker 7 (44:01):
Do you have a problem with your relationship?

Speaker 8 (44:03):
Do you want to know if it's love or lust?

Speaker 24 (44:05):
Let us all vote and let us all let you
know if you're in love or if it's lust.

Speaker 4 (44:11):
All right, y'all inside of the love and lust right
about now. But a living next to human chandelier, that
floor is yours is yours.

Speaker 7 (44:20):
Hey, guys, it's your girl. Pret you living ex the
human standelier and today love or lust? The topic is.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
Let's say that you are dating someone or you've been
with them for a while, and you do not like
their family, but you just don't keep it to yourself.

Speaker 7 (44:41):
You let it slip out before a holiday party. Is
that love or lust?

Speaker 4 (44:47):
I don't care hard I hardly feel that's slipping out.
I think that was on purpose. But uh, all love, Yeah, exactly,
it's all love. I don't like that family, and I'm
telling you and I'm still with it's all of It's
definitely all love, right there, Man, I tell you they
don't like me, and I don't like them. It's all

(45:07):
of Definitely. That was easy enough, right there, you're out
here enough. That was a real easy one, exactly, Ritt,
What do you feel?

Speaker 7 (45:23):
I feel it could be loved to most of the time.

Speaker 1 (45:25):
I feel like there's a small percentage of it where
you know it's not love and the person like rude
and actually they are the problem in the first place.
But most of the time, you know, you can't choose
who your family is, and you know, just because you
don't get along with the family where the family doesn't
like you, doesn't mean you don't love that person.

Speaker 4 (45:45):
Right Okay, that's why we said a record telling good
what's up?

Speaker 31 (45:53):
Man?

Speaker 4 (45:53):
Are you doing.

Speaker 7 (46:00):
Giving and all that?

Speaker 10 (46:00):
Man?

Speaker 4 (46:01):
Man, same to you man, same to you man. What
you think tonight?

Speaker 25 (46:05):
Thank you? Oh man? I think that. I think like
you said, it's all love, but you know it could
be less because if you don't love somebody, you're not
gonna take heath and show them respect. You're not going
to show their family members respect. You're not going to
show them in any any courtesy when they be like, man, another,

(46:25):
my uncle Ronnie's an asshole, or you excuse my friends.
I know my my uncle Roddie is you know, uh,
you know he's off the charts. But I mean, no, candy,
Please try to refrain from going off on them tonight
like you did the last time. And if you fall
into that tramp and you get to acting crazy and
you know, talking to the family crazy, and you know,
not showing any courtesy or any restraint, and you keep

(46:48):
letting it tappen and you don't act like a masure
and go here and show some courtesy to you know,
kill plunder and that can be luck man, because he's
guys showing them no love, because you wouldn't want to
do that to your mama or your brother. So you know,
it could be loved or it could be lost and
depends on the on the person in the situation.

Speaker 12 (47:09):
Right.

Speaker 6 (47:09):
The reason why, the reason why I went would love
because is what the key the keyword was it slipped
out and what he felt about him kind of it
kind of slipped out, you know. But like you said
on that end, that could be a little anger that

(47:32):
you just had to filter out. But it's still love
because he's not They're not letting the false go or
their girlfriend go because of the family.

Speaker 5 (47:45):
They keeping that close to each other. So that's love.

Speaker 10 (47:50):
You know.

Speaker 5 (47:51):
If it wasn't closed, yeah, then it would be less.
But he slipped out.

Speaker 1 (47:58):
As long as it's a respecting to you know, like
you you kind of know what it is, you know,
like and if you love your spouse, you know, even
though these people get on your nerves, as long as
they don't put their hands on you, you know you're
gonna try to, you know, be as respectful as possible.

Speaker 7 (48:16):
If you feel like you can't take it, then you
go dismiss yourself or whatever. You're not gonna be acting crazy.

Speaker 6 (48:21):
So that's right, That's why we went with love because
of that particular reason you just gave out.

Speaker 4 (48:29):
Mm hm, well think about that man key word da
radio show and on social media platforms, let us know
your thoughts on that. Is it love or is it less?
Rolling on to play at a slag that starts right now.

Speaker 3 (48:45):
Join the radio show every Monday night, Every Monday night.

Speaker 8 (48:52):
For the indie song that you enjoyed the most.

Speaker 4 (48:56):
Well, play at the slave right about now. What we
do each every week around this time is we take
a couple of songs and we asked that one fundamental question,
should we play it or should we try y'all slay
the record, throw it in the cyber trash never to
be heard from again, or play the record? May have

(49:17):
then move on to the radio show, get him on
as a guest down the road and even added to
I forgot to mention the radio show dot com which
is now up and running right now. You can hear
that perhaps a song coming from right now as well
as ninety two reasons playing on the radio show dot
coments where you go ahead and hear that right now.

(49:39):
If you choose to do that, go to the website www.
Dot Diaz and David as an Apple radio show dot
com and you can click on that little player button
you can hear some songs being played right there right now.
All right, so we got two songs that we perhaps
may get an opportunity to be on that. The first
one we have is an artist by the name of
Frank and Anthony. Frank Anthony song is called for You.

(50:03):
Frank Anthony song is called for for you. I forgot
this is the youth theme for Play the Slave as well.
All right, first song, Frank Anthony song is called for you.
Let's check it out there we go play the slag
at the radio show.

Speaker 8 (50:33):
I haven't given us.

Speaker 15 (50:36):
Was a baby?

Speaker 8 (50:37):

Speaker 9 (50:40):

Speaker 8 (50:47):
Doll and a for you. Come to me on a

Speaker 9 (50:55):

it when it gets breathed.

Speaker 11 (50:59):
Give it.

Speaker 8 (51:00):
I'm gonna lay up in the sheets and baby, you
can do it to the day to day.

Speaker 7 (51:05):
He can't say, you know you want to?

Speaker 4 (51:10):
Well, you know what, I think I sent the wrong
version of that over this. But the play of the
slag drops they used to be part of that. I
think I sent the wrong version. But it's all good.
Frank Anthony Sounds called for you. Frank Anthony Sounds called
for you. What do you think about that? Play at
a slid? What should we do with the record, Britt
play the slig? What should we do with that one?

Speaker 7 (51:29):
I'm playing it? Diamond emoji's fire emojis.

Speaker 4 (51:38):
All right, I'm gonna go ahead and play the record
as well. I thought it was cool. Indeed, play at
the slad? What should we do with the record? NDM,
you might.

Speaker 1 (51:58):
My bad?

Speaker 5 (51:58):
I thought it was open play it.

Speaker 4 (52:09):
