Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yeah, Bacon bro back in the Wstock days many yeah, yes.
Speaker 6 (01:52):
Rook rook DJ too. I think I have videos of
this guy.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Do you still have videos? I still have, dude, some
those videos. Man.
Speaker 6 (02:01):
This guy is like I think you're saying some ship,
like everyone shake their ass or some ship.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
We had a shitty mic at that time, Yeah, it was.
It's because it was one of those like mics through
the head side.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. Fire Jesus, you guys flew
out some guy from yeah we click.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yes, we flew out of believe it's from Mexico. He
joined us. He did I think a thirty minute set
we had. It's another guy in Chicago Ridge Packing Rich.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
Was that a different one.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
That's the second that was a summer after we brought
him packing Rich. Jeez, I forgot about that one, dude,
the only one I live on still. Remember it's just
the twenty fifteen one, the main Miller bash that was
the first one, dude. Yeah, you got to be there.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
You got to be there there too. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
I got there and left right away.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
Ye were killing dude.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
They had like one light one of those what is
it called the ones that they killed the light the
one that little actually think, yeah, yeah, this was farm,
was it? But books a yeah, okay, And and there
was like they were just flying around it.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Yeah, you will see them, you will see him just
like cool.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
We're around the country and the summertime. This is literally
July fifteenth when this show is going with July fifteenth,
twenty fifteen, and we're in a farm, dude. And during
the day that farm is full of chickens, goats, it's
animals around dude. Of course you canna get the flies
and all that.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
No, I mean, yeah, I mean it is what it is.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
We use a trailer as a DJ booth. Yeah, that trailer, dude.
The planks a little little offsided, man, so if you
stop wrong, you're going right through it.
Speaker 6 (03:33):
I'm surprised that that didn't break. That was like a
good two tons on that motherfucker. A lot of people
just decide to get up there. Oh your boy Vensis.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
Yeah yeah, show line press so well for me.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
For me, the fondest party that Pirate rents Ever did
was the Halloween event.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
The Halloween Events, and it was in bridge View. I
think it was fifteen to twenty minutes away from bridge You. Yeah,
from freaking Dicky. Yeah, were you there?
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Yes, I helped promo that too.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yes, you were there, of course, of course you were there, dude,
it was you helped promo and that night I felt
I met.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
You know, Valerie, Yeah, I met and we drop my
last name something.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Bad. I don't matter, dude, I met Valley that night.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
You were there with the Lost Scout a k A.
What's his name, dude, Brendon. Yes, yes, plumber now if
you need plumbing services, yeah, it's good at it.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
But yeah, no, you you got to be there, right.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
You enjoyed the show too, right, Yeah, yeah, yeah, it
was like the beginning of ridom dub step, like have
Founders the Founders.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Yeah, when when eventually when it really went on heavy.
But yes, we we had the big stage, we had everything.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
It was it was cool, man, it was cool. Obviously
it was backstoor. Dad, it was terrible.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Oh I got, I mean I got. I don't know
if you know, but I got fucked at the end, dude. Yeah, yeah,
I financially got fucked.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Fun still recovering this there.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Yeah, but that event itself was was very cool because
like we you know, there's there's a lot of things
that me and Gamal have done that I still still ran.
It's very random, like you know, obviously you know we
do comedy shows.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Now we do the podcast, more settled.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
Down, you know.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
But I remember that day we were we were on
stage on stage with DJ. You know, I'm seeing the
crowd and it's a it's a cool experience. I'm glad.
I'm glad I got to experience that because never in
my life when I think I was gonna be on
the on the stage looking at people and everybody dancing,
having a good time, and I was wearing a a
(05:39):
Gokul Halloween costume, and I remember that the people in
the crowd noticed me and they're like, hey, do the
spare bomb.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Do the spare bomb.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
I did the spur momb and then you know, you
see hands started going up, and I was like, this
is cool, man. Of course, you know everybody you know
once you know once that you know that that lifestyle.
But next moment experience being like on stage and the
(06:09):
needed paint on the band j We're doing comedy, right,
and then people just going crazy.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
You're the main event, your main event, dude, he's the thing.
They see you upstairs, they think you're somebody like this
guy knows somebody.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
That was.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Just one Mexican dude wearing a.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Yeah, because it was you or ness though or that's
girl at the time. Yeah, and San was there too.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
I think I think it's it's everybody from Oh and So.
Will showed up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Forgot
about what Will be in there, dude, you know, I.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Mean, it was just it was cool. It was cool.
Obviously it was terrible for the but.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
But same year, same year as Pirate events. I'm gonna
same year as Miller Bash in October and then they
just you know, my dream went.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
Away, that should killed you.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
That was that was pirates literally right there.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
We still we kept it for like another year, which
we had another successful show with that. But I just yeah, man,
I just the funny thing is that in the EDM
world at that time, from twenty fifteen to twenty seventeen,
there was only a couple of promotions controlling the whole
em game. Yeah, in the suburbs, in the in the
in the suburbs and the city city.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
A lot of it was in Wisconsin too, like Milwaukee, Madison,
Green Bay.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
I think that was like because honestly.
Speaker 6 (07:32):
Most of the most of the shows for dubstep were
like rhythm. It was like, I wasn't freaking Milwaukee all
the time, bro, Yeah, yeah most of the time.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
The list too.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
But what's the what's the main venue it does that
those shows?
Speaker 4 (07:46):
I think it was called Liquid in Madison?
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Oh Liquid? Oh yes, I remember now, yes, yes, yes, yes?
How about in Milwaukee it was the Rave night club, right,
the Rave Yeah room, exactly, exactly. Yeah, I mean you
probably know. But random is a sub genre of dubstep,
you know. Yeah, yeah, that's that's what it's called. Yeah, yeah,
(08:10):
at the time, that's what it's called. It. It became popular.
It's popular nowadays because a lot of groups pop.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
Up from that.
Speaker 6 (08:17):
It's there. But like, I just know that if you
were to go to a rhythm dumb step show now,
a lot of the songs that.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
We heard or like the plates.
Speaker 6 (08:28):
Yeah remember plates ye yea h yeah, they're still the
same bro, Like it's the same thing, the same sound.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
Ye. There's some new guys around, but it's like, yeah,
the same.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
You could hear so much and then like all right, cool,
let me let me get something new. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
But I mean, like I said, we we've done. Remember
you've been to Meduces a few times, right.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but there was more dance.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
It was more dance. You know what I'm saying. You're
not gonna hear random, not gonna hear dubstep, not here, trap,
You're gonna hear literally more dance music here here. What's
what's her name? The girl? Kesha?
Speaker 4 (09:05):
No.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
I think Medina is one of them, right, she was,
like she was the one that says that every time
we touch, you can hear that type of yeah, you
can hear that that type of dance music. Within and
being a medusas, especially after like I think after twelve
that's started playing that that type of music.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
Yeah no, I mean that was the time when like
bass Hunter.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Exactly basic, Yeah, just that Euro stuff exactly that Euro
stuff and then that dirty Dutch and then I mean
you all remember DJ Blinde because you're introduced.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
With Yeah ban was was hot for a fucking and.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Then with then DJ Bland you started hearing other DJ
like Swedish Hash, Swedish House Mafia, and then they dude.
I think I think once again, I always say that
we we we saw the Golden Age at one point.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
I mean we got it. We I think we listened
to it when nobody was listening to it, right, you know,
it's like because then it got popped. You know now
it's it is what it is. It's you know, it's
as common as it's rapping.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Yeah, yeah, whatever, sure, for sure.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Yeah, there was a moment like I remember, like when
I was in we were high school, like middle school,
like I was listening to like you had your you
and and you.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Guys would give me ship. I guess like what do
you what are you listening? I gave all the time
for the music I love that ship dude.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
Like Soldier Boy.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
Yeah, like.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
This guy could do the Superman Soldier Boys, Superman, Yeah,
Superman that hole, Yeah, so many holes, but I've never
he did. Yeah, you guys tell me I didn't give
I didn't give a I don't get pressured. But you
guys are trying to calm me for like listening to
like that kind of ship. And it wasn't until like,
it wasn't until like in high school when you started
(10:51):
like slowly getting into it right now, yeah, And I
was like, I've been doing it.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
You help me, just like two computers and LimeWire, so yeah.
Speaker 5 (11:03):
Yeah, the passage growing up if you didn't tire Napster.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
Or something, two computers, lime Wire stays in the stream.
Speaker 5 (11:12):
It was not that easy.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
It was hard.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
It was hard, and you would you would just wait
like an hour to download the song and it wasn't
the right one.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Or some video, some poor video. Dude, it just pops up.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
Are you downloaded? Thinking it was somebody else forever and
you're like, no, this is not that guy, was it.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
Says in the Yeah, dude, lime Wire, Bear Share, frost Wire.
There's there's one more because I never heard of that one.
I never heard of that one, dude.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
What was Naster one of them too?
Speaker 3 (11:44):
Or Napster was after lime Wire was the first one,
was the first one, the first one that started in college.
Speaker 7 (11:50):
It was just like Facebook and the guy started and
everybody was sharing roommates, roommate or college student students, and
then it got blown up, like wait a second, where's
all this is it coming from? Like, oh, Napster and
then the whole big lawsuit came out. Yes, but then
it came back as an actual, like legit like downloading.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Service, right.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
Yeah, why when Apple introduced the whole model of selling
a song for a dollar, this is when Napster came out.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Well, the Napster guy, he was in the Social Network movie.
Speaker 7 (12:22):
He's like Zuckerberg like, yeah, do this, it's free streaming this,
it's period appeared. You're not stealing, You're just sending it
to your friend. That's when like Metallica and everybody got involved.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
In Metallical is the one that basically ruined it everybody.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
Yeah, I mean because Rot.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
Yeah for sure, later there was another fucking streaming site.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
Yeah, the Napster days, dude, interesting, I remember that, I
remember that.
Speaker 5 (12:49):
Yeah, downd with like four songs on my computer, like right.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
On storage full, storage full and no clue how to
delete storage. Back then, as a kid, I have no
clue in my Hey, dad, get in the computer. Dude, God, dude,
don't folder right. I probably took an asshole because of that, dude,
I'm honest, probably probably took an asshold. Man, we gotta
get another computer there. But yeah, I know what got
(13:15):
you into the d M. How did you hear DM
in the first place. Yeah, we're not his techno.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
Back then, I had an older brother. Yeah, I mean
so he never had cool cool loser.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
It happens, man, I'm sorry. I blame my parents. Man,
don't blame me, you did.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
No, No, I hadn't know brother that was like he
he was anti Mexican so so so he was very
like you know, so you listen Mexicans to grown up.
So he he looked for he looks somewhere else, right,
And he wasn't into like, you know, rock or you
know rap really so you know.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
So, could we say he started like the black Sheep
the family a little bit?
Speaker 2 (13:51):
No, he was definitely black Sheep. Was definitely black Sheep.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
No, but not not really.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
Because just a little tad bit, you know, I'm like, hey,
I want to want to explore outside of this this bubble.
He was just like, I don't want to listen to fucking.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
Yeah, he was like.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
And then he got into you know, Ben and Bancy Jo,
Army Van Buren, you know, all the Paul you know,
all the old school guys, right, and then that trickled
down to me and you know, you know every every
So the reason I say you never had an old
brother because when you're a younger brother, you look to
your older brother for sure. I mean, like he's the
(14:28):
cool guy, you know what I mean. So he, you know,
he was like he was listening to this kind of music,
and I was like, man, I want to listen to.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Kind of music going to house parties, going to house parties,
to the.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
House party, you know.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
And he was he was good because he would you know,
he would take us. He would take me because that
was closer to him than my younger one. But you know,
so you know, I was experiencing all this stuff and
I'm saying, like we're talking about earlier in the podcast,
like the Hot Impoort Nights, you know, stuff like that,
and then it just was the morning when Fast and
First came out.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
You know, so the world was about fucking like.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Like movement, like movement. Yeah, girls and the shortest skirts possible. Yeah,
Asian girls.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Got super hot that time. That was like the highest thing.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
You can get.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
You got an Asian girl and and fucking two thousand
war six between six twenty twelve.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
We're killing it, dude. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
So that's why I mean, that's why I got in
I got into it.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
We mentioned that the little Kiosk sent the spring Hill Mall.
All the malls honestly, uh Naperville Mall, Juliette Mall, all
the little body piercing kios had DJ Marski, CDs, J Mask, Magic, Infinity, Caffeine.
I think caffeine is probably one of the biggest ones, right,
it would say for dance factory. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah,
(15:42):
get your cities there, get your body piercings.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
It was just it was it.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Wasn't a norm. It wasn't the norm. It was not
the norm.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
No, it was normal.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
It was for that was botty too, because because a
little society no, and then two, well here's nothing too
likeski no, like to school, didn't really we'll come back
to Yeah you get them on here.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
Yeah yeah, I just.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
But no, but like so Mexico too, like we go
to Mexico and Mexico like dance music was popular, but.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
More like you just dance music just so.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
It was like so like the Benga Boy the Bingu
Binger Boys part like you know that Mexico Ye. But
yeah no, man, I didn't. I like, I like that
wasn't that was different.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
I mean it's different.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
You like you don't want to call in the norms.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
And I still got down with you know, obviously I
was in the Kanye.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
West, Yeah for sure.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Yeah three six Mafia and all these guys, right not
told your.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
Boy that's my boy, right six.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
I created that ship hard. I was like everything actually
might know holds right? I respect those day, still respect woman.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Well what about you, bro, Like what got you into
the whole world?
Speaker 4 (17:09):
DJ world? The DJ so.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
I actually remember I was in the apartment and would
Stuck Illinois.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
We were that same apartment.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Hot was sweaty baby baby. I don't remember I was.
Speaker 6 (17:24):
I was like in like fifth grade and I think
it was like one of my best friends birthday parties
at the time, and his older brother pulls up YouTube.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
I think I forgot because we were older than you. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
Hold he is, I'm thirty three. I'm gonna be thirty
three in April. Okay, talk about my.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
I'm thirty thirtyle bit.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
Hold are you twenty eight?
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Okay, so yeah, you're younger else.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Yeah, yeah, A decade took him off of it.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (18:02):
I remember promoing. Gamal was older than me and then
I was like seventeen. He was my mentor at the time.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
This guy, were you seventeen when we're doing I remember, dude,
you're seventeen.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
I did not know.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Yeah, you would have a different mentor you would have
been like in LA right.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
Now there, Well it's so nice, so nice.
Speaker 4 (18:23):
Yeah. So yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
So he pulls up YouTube and I remember it was
I think it was like a Tiesto set.
Speaker 4 (18:29):
Yeah, and like, I'm like, damn, I've never heard anything
like that.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
So you probably heard trance, right, bro, here's.
Speaker 6 (18:34):
More trans It was probably like Tomorrowland, Tomorrowland, and uh
like I just saw like somebody, I just saw him
DJing and like a crowd. I'm like, whoa, I've never
seen anything like that, and it just caught my ears.
So I've always had it there, but what really got
me into the EDM world was actually Scrillics in high school.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
Oh so we're talking about twenty twenty eleven, twenty eleven,
twenty twelve. Yeah, that's when he got popular because it
was I could just butt in it because I heard
of scrillage critics in twenty ten because obviously he's from LA.
One of my teammates, some own guy loved you know em.
He's the one that introduced me like scrillics and then
(19:14):
also listen another one he got hit with the me too.
He's also from LA. Dubstep. I can't remember the guy's name,
but anyways, Crillics, I mean, I know skrillics yea, yeah,
it's just twenty ten dubstep DJs or producers whatever whatever,
(19:36):
Base nectar boy, some tronics, No, keep on, keep on,
get on.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
Base.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
Next was it was well, I know basic for sure,
for sure, but this some one's uh specific, that's sick.
I heard, Yeah, I heard dad's sick and uh in
twenty ten. Yeah, I'm like, what is this? And my
guy's like, oh, this is dub step, Like dude, I
never heard of it obviously. Once hearing it. I got
super into it like anything else. Yeah, I could take
it too. Yeah, yeah, I was.
Speaker 6 (20:01):
I remember we were warming up I think it was
my freshman year for a basketball game before a basketball game,
and like this this team. I forget what school it was,
so I went to Woodstack North, But were.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Was that the was that the Mexican or the white one?
Speaker 4 (20:15):
There was?
Speaker 2 (20:16):
It was a new school that.
Speaker 6 (20:18):
Yeah, it was like in the middle of cornfields and
ship literally it was literally in the middle of cornfields.
But yeah, I just remember they came out like their entrance.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
Song was first of the Year by Scrillics, and it just.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
Caught my attention and I liked it and like I remember,
like damn, like this is interesting sound.
Speaker 5 (20:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (20:36):
Ever since I got into dub stuff from there and
just took me down, you know, into the DJ world,
started wanting DJ started.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
Going to a lot of shows festivals. Yeah, from there
and yeah, it's crazy.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
So when when did you get your first first table?
Speaker 4 (20:55):
Was that?
Speaker 2 (20:55):
When did you get your first table?
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Turntable?
Speaker 4 (20:58):
Yeah? Was that that well turntable controller?
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Controller? Yeah control?
Speaker 6 (21:03):
Yeah, I still have that Controller's crazy. Yeah, it was
a band at the time, d d J r X.
I still use it to say.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
That's what you use right now when you go to
different Chelsea, you do right now. I use it to
prepare okay, okay, because I don't remember when record box
came out, but I remember like it was like Serato
and then.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
Record box and record boxes like.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
Used as like a universal thing to like like do
your presets or like prepare your sets for and performance. Yeah,
and this is basically shows you like the wavelengths part. Yeah,
the sound waves of the actual songs were able to
mix it better or do your like I said, your
presence or yeah whatever. Man, I can't even think in
my life, dude.
Speaker 6 (21:44):
Yeah, but yeah, I think that was my either sophomore year,
junior year.
Speaker 4 (21:49):
I forgot that was the first the first controller.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
Like house parties.
Speaker 6 (21:54):
Yeah, that's how I started college, high school parties, That's
how I started.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
You you're the cool guy. You had to be the
cool guy, dude. You had to be the cool guy
because're the guy. Because the reason why I say that
is because an R when I was in college, only
one guy was knew how to DJ, and that dude
was named the cool guy because at every event he
would be the one behind the turntables.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Yeah, but it's also but it also sucks too because
like I can imagine how many people are coming off.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
You can you play this song?
Speaker 2 (22:24):
It did happen, you know, and it's like not stop
like this guy DJ my brother's wedding.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
Oh yes, only because.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Because that was the only way to get him in.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
Yeah, it was.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
He wasn't invited.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
So he's like I really want to go man, and
I'm like, I'm like, I can sneak you in if
you played, if you play the music.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
Yeah, family didn't get in, but I made it with
a tablet.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
But I remember that day. You know you were there right,
you're in the music.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Yeah, yeah, we.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Bought a light show and everything, like just to get
this guy.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
This guy give give the show, give me his show.
And how many people were coming up to you every
every every like two minutes, man can play that song. Yeah.
They started tipping me to play songs like all right,
I'll play your song. I'll play you tip me, I'll
played the song again. I don't care at this point.
It's just the highest bidder, you know.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
What I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
I walked away twenty dollars.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, twenty dollars yeah, yeah exactly, but
imagined at a house party that's like NonStop right, yeah, bro,
fucking yeah, that was crazy just thinking about it, like
how it all started, Like we had freaking drinking tickets
we had.
Speaker 6 (23:40):
And there's some people that got like trespassing charges. They
got like arrested and ship.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
At the house parties.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
Yeah, bro, some of the parties that we that I
would play well.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
Because what's the we you know, because we're we're from
the good old Morangos, you know what I'm saying. So
we heard what stock you know, like we know there's
certain crews and Westock thrown parties. What was the one guy?
The gang?
Speaker 4 (24:00):
What's up? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (24:02):
And then they named themselves Taylor Gang. I don't know
if any what's that crew?
Speaker 4 (24:06):
I don't remember them.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
Yeah there were there were there a bunch of Mexicans.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
But you know you.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Know Vigdor yeah d he's a wrestler now he wrestles. Yes, yes,
he was part of that group. Okay, That's how we
knew him because we would go party with them. And
I mean there was a bunch of people I.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
Don't remember the name. It was another guy named Monchi
or no, it was the main guy one of the
main guys.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
I don't know, but.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
There was a bunch of guys like that crew. It was
it was like our age group.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
But they were house parties for days and every house
parties for days.
Speaker 4 (24:38):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
But yeah no, I mean.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
My my younger brother, he he did just for like
a moment, okay, dysfunctional robot robot and it was but
was that was for one party.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
That that career. That was one part.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
One of the most more than most, more the most.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
But my my older brother, back to my older brother,
he bought him like he bought him like a turntable,
like a small one to disc right that.
Speaker 4 (25:14):
Channel, yeah channel, And.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
All he did was play, just playing on YouTube.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
But like everybody, he was killing.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
That. That's up.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Everyone was like, damn fucking what's that chunky sound?
Speaker 3 (25:31):
Keep comping up.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
All hell yeah.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
Control was like, no, that's so annoying.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
I mean, hell yeah, people, you did you learn from
watching others or on YouTube?
Speaker 4 (25:49):
Because obviously you could pick a song, you just play it.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
You can put a second song, But how did you
learn the Hey, let me mix this temple with this
temple with this and then this and then this cut.
I mean like what what what?
Speaker 4 (26:03):
Like? What what?
Speaker 3 (26:04):
What did it take the proximal?
Speaker 4 (26:06):
Like that? Dude?
Speaker 6 (26:07):
So for me, like, I don't know, I've always learned
from someone, but there is a couple of DJs that
I learned from.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
So I don't know if you remember Order of Chaos, Oh, yes,
Eric and Eric and I can't remember.
Speaker 3 (26:22):

to them at that time, for real, I was close
to them. They're they're they're a good ship.
Speaker 4 (26:31):
Dude.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
You know, I was happy once again to butt in.
I was happy that I was able to get them
like a sold out show at least once. Yeah, no,
not with figure. Did he play with figure?
Speaker 4 (26:45):
Figure? And then.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
He's the popular guy with long hair, looks with the beard,
looks kind of scruffy. No, he's he's also in the
Rhythm Game, dude, white boy. Oh Boogie Tee, Boogie t
Yeah yeah yeah, Boogie Tee, Yeah he gotta. We saw
that show and they I don't know if you know this,
(27:08):

in his career. Really, yes, oh way events that this
is twenty sixteen. Yeah, if you if you have with
the guys, what they're start doing it right now with
Travis and other Mexican Sante and Marco. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah,
(27:29):

Speaker 4 (27:33):
I just saw him. I see Mark. I run into
Marco a lot. Yeah yeah the club. Yeah in the city,
that dude. Okay, okay, you're somebody. Hey, there's somebody in
two fields. Part of history, part part of part of history, part.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
Of history in the country town of.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
Yeah. Yeah yeah, you're killing it.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
Yeah you know, I didn't know that. That's that's awesome,
that's amazing, crazy, that's dope, that's dope.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
It's funny.
Speaker 1 (28:01):

Speaker 4 (28:41):
Okay, I like fire, yeah, okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
We usually like we should make it with basil, because
with Basil, I think it elevates it. A look, Men

there and we see the bartenders the bartender should like.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
And I'm they're not getting the action.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
Eleven o'clock.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
I feel like eleven o'clock in the city, that's usually.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
Want to start, start for sure, for sure, for sure. Right,
So so I was like, oh, fuck, may maybe we're
too early. I was like, not eleven o'clock clock, dude,
places to be packed.
Speaker 4 (33:50):

Speaker 6 (34:17):
Yeah, I got but yeah, I think I got there

Speaker 3 (34:24):
Yeah, other bar down the street were down.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
Did they get you can even light to us. I
don't care.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
They get packed.
Speaker 6 (34:30):
I wouldn't say packed. There was like thirty five people, okay, okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
Yeah, yeah, okay, good good because he told all of
them to go to the front guys Thursday basis.
Speaker 5 (34:43):

Speaker 2 (34:50):
But with the but the crazy thing was that so
we were like, all right, you know, we'll come back,

a bar down the street that was called Listen Queen
Litabe Queen Mary's.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
Queen married, Yeah, Queen Mary Mary's. Yes, it was a
wicker park, like no, probably.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
Like a minute a minute away from that spot.
Speaker 3 (35:07):
Walking Queen Mary's wicker Park.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
And yeah, Queenerry.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
Very nice spot.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
You know.
Speaker 3 (35:13):
We walked in and was like, oh this is this
is the vibe.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
And know what reason we went in there was because
we were like, we walked down the street, we didn't
see noy more bars. Yeah, We're like I was like, hell,
what about that one right there? And we were like
all right, cool, just to stop and let's have a
couple of drinks and it will what.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
Head back and got cocktails were listen man.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Yeah, we got there, we start having a a couple
of cocktails and then probably what thirty minutes into.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
It, thirty minutes into it because we got there at eleven,
say eleven twenty five the thirties.
Speaker 4 (35:42):
Yeah, uh yeah, half an hour, half.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
An hour, half an hour.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
We're we're sitting at the table right next to the bar.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
We look at the bar.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
We're just and then the guy three people walk in
and I see one guy and I'm like I looked
at him and I'm like, fuck, man, is that like
is that a season?
Speaker 3 (36:01):
Sorry?
Speaker 1 (36:03):
And and and I was like no, it's just an
Indian guy.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
Yeah yeah, yeah, it's just a mini guy, a mini
guy that looks just like him. And then I'm like,
you know, I won't say it that. I just kind
of just make a mental note. But then they they
stopped right in front of us. They have drinks and
and then you know, so he keeps it around, you know,
kind of look around and I can so I'm like,
I'm scoping. I'm checking them out. Basically, I'm checking them out.
Speaker 4 (36:30):
I was in with that.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
You look near the wall, he was like, and I'm like,
I think that's sucking as sorry, and I told him
all I took him on.
Speaker 3 (36:40):
I'm like, hey, dude, I think that's a right there.
And I'm like, hey, look as look at his instagram.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
So then I was like, you know me, I'm a
fucking detective. So I was like, I'm gonna go on
Instagram and see this town.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
Yeah, and then I go on.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
Instagram and he he had shows his whole weekend and
I was like, oh, that's fucking him.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
I pulled up so I'm like, you know what, dude,
I'm gressing water.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
I was literally like, look like I turned around a
few times, look at the side profile.
Speaker 4 (37:15):
I'm like, it looks like him, but he was where
the head, Yeah, he was where the head.
Speaker 3 (37:19):
I can't totally confirm, dude, because I'm like, you know,
you guys look out saying you know what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah,
I mean it's honest. You know, guys kind of look
the same. So I'm like, you know what, I can't confirm.
But as soon as he said that, like he was
he's been in the city the shows, I'm like, okay, cool.
But the second, the second thing they really like, you know,
that's him was his laugh.
Speaker 4 (37:39):
Yeah you put it out. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
And then and then once I heard him laugh, I
was like, yeah, like I'm a you know, you know,
I know a Parks and Res you know, I know
that's you know, a big show that he was on.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
I love the show Master of None.
Speaker 4 (37:54):
Yeah right, yeah, he.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
Did on Netflix, and you know so and I've always
you know, I've seen his comedy shows, especially we got
cancel and all that stuff happened, right, and and I
was like, man, I'm like, I'm almost one hundred percent sure.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
We man, right now, that's that's the guy who was
there next one, I think, Yeah, that was yeah, that
was a guy. Yeah, yeah, that's that's the guy next him, dude, Yeah, yeah,
that was him, that was him.
Speaker 4 (38:18):
Yeah, that was him.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Yeah, that's him, that's him. And then obviously yeah, then
once I saw this, I thought that he was in town.
He had just finished a show at the Chicago for
Either And I'm.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
Like, that's fucking crazy, dude.
Speaker 2 (38:31):
I'm like, what a small we're literally, dude, like right here,
when you're right there, we're right here, he's right there with.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
Us, and you know, I recognize him, I see him.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
You know, I'm not a big fan, but I'm a
fan of some of his work, yeah for sure, but
like I don't want.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
To be that fucking asshole, no, I know.
Speaker 2 (38:49):
And we talked about it and we were like I'm like, dude,
I'm like, should we say something? But then like we
came back to the fucking mindself just going like my
boys having to drink, Yeah, he doesn't want to bother,
Like what the fuck?
Speaker 1 (39:01):
And then just be like, hey man, I love Master
of None.
Speaker 4 (39:03):
Yeah you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (39:05):
That's ten years ago.
Speaker 2 (39:06):
Ten years ago, and but we're right there, and then
he's writing for them the whole time. And it's like
as much as we wanted to play it cool to
be like, oh we didn't, we didn't say anything about it.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
You don't didn't bother him.
Speaker 3 (39:19):
We couldn't stop talking about Spanish.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
We went into Spanish mode and we were just talking,
being as uncool as possible.
Speaker 1 (39:32):
And I was like, and I was telling them.
Speaker 2 (39:34):
I was like, man, I'm like, it's crazy, and nobody's
fucking recognizing them.
Speaker 3 (39:37):
Nobody. Maybe the bartender. We said, maybe the bartender, and
then you asked, hey, no, no.
Speaker 1 (39:43):
I saw a couple of bar he was like being
super friendly with him.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
I'm like, maybe they recognize him, but none of the other,
like patrons at the fucking bar.
Speaker 5 (39:49):
It's either they did, and they're acting like you guys
being like yo, that disease.
Speaker 3 (39:52):
I don't, which you think is great. I think it's cool.
And then I was like, you know what, everyone's like
has the same story that I saw him, but like
we just played it cool. It's great.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
None of us were cool because we couldn't stop talking
about that motherfucker dude. And and like I was watching,
I was like, I was keeping the path on people, dude.
I wanted to see how many people like react to him.
I didn't see anybody react nobody.
Speaker 7 (40:12):
And you know too, like he's probably helping, like I'm
a celebrity. Maybe some girls are gonna say what's up. No,
it's just all the guys being like hey.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
Dude, And I'm telling Gamal, I'm like, I'm like, dude,
I'm like, like this.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Guy, like this guy just sold out three shows this weekend,
calf either people paid stupid money to go see him.
He's a fucking some random bar in wicker Park, just
here having drinks, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
And I was like, it's just it's just weird.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
I was just I was just, uh, I want I
want to use to wear flabbergasted, but just you know,
I couldn't believe that nobody could. And nobody went up
to him and be like, hey man, can I get
a picture? And I was like, and I started thinking,
I'm talking.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
I start talking.
Speaker 3 (40:57):
Gamal.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
I was like, I'm like did He started to get
upset because I'm starting to get upset that nobody's recognizing him.
Speaker 8 (41:02):
He starts standing on a chair like come onybody, come on,
and the people behind, the people behind, the ones behind,
they were talking about sn L Commedy World, and I
almost wanted to turn around like hey guys, sorry, sorry.
Speaker 4 (41:17):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (41:18):
Eventually the bar tender came over for the final call,
and he was asking us if you want to have
drinks like when my last round? And I go up
to him and I'm like, hey, man, do you mean
you bro? Like is that as sasus are right there?
Speaker 3 (41:29):
He's like, He's like, yeah, I think so.
Speaker 4 (41:30):
He's moved out.
Speaker 3 (41:31):
Yeah, yeah, he didn't care around. Yeah, yeah, nobody, dude.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
And and yeah, it was just one of those things
where we were like, uh, it's funny, man, because we
were gonna go to som bar.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
I mean, yeah, spy bar. You would go to Hey,
I must say this. It would have been a great time.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
Would it would have been fun? No, we would have
got a spy bar, you know, listen to music. But
instead we went to some of that and wicker Park.
Obviously we didn't stay there, but we went to another bar,
ran the Bar in Chicago, and and you know, we
ran into somebody who's in our side.
Speaker 4 (42:03):
Guys.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
You know we're in the comedy world. Obviously he knows
nothing of us. You know, it's not like I expect him.
We're the second fast person, we're the most we're the
second most famous people here because it's it's him.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
And then like ten thousand miles.
Speaker 3 (42:20):
And people are coming and people and then we're like
we're like.
Speaker 2 (42:24):
One inch above everybody, not nothing crazy, like we like
somebody might recognize what was from our TikTok videos or whatever.
But but I was like, I'm like, this fucking dude
is right here.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
And then like we made like this.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
Starts getting a lotle gay. I'm like, we made eye
contact a couple of times.
Speaker 3 (42:41):
You guys are dude and.
Speaker 4 (42:43):
And too.
Speaker 2 (42:45):
I'm like, and then I went to the bathroom. He
tried to go into my bathroom and I was like,
the door was locked. I was hoping he was gonna
be out there so I could have been like, I'm like, hey, man,
I didn't do that, even though nothing was wrong, just
just like just like April, that wasn't me.
Speaker 1 (43:04):
And he goes in there, He's like, what the in here?
Speaker 2 (43:07):
Because in the smoke, man, it wasn't dirty or that
doesn't have a little sucking story right right right. But
but that's that's the beauty the city.
Speaker 4 (43:14):
Man.
Speaker 2 (43:14):
I was telling Camal, It's like you could be in
a random bar in wicker Park and fucking that was
a multi millionaire.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
You know that dude.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
He rubs elbows with some of the most famous people
in the world comedy. And he's right there, right there,
just having a drink and you know, and you know
he enjoyed it. Nobody came up to him, bother you know,
only two Mexicans staring fun out of him. Dude, fucking
up and down. You know, I took him off. I
wouldn't stand next to him do it or drink, but
(43:44):
just to make sure I was tallering him, get a
pick real quick.
Speaker 1 (43:49):
That was just make sure I'm tallering him.
Speaker 2 (43:51):
I need that in my I need that in my life.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
But dude, that's that's a nice thing. Once again, the city,
you could just walk out, man, Just leave the house.
Leave the house. You're in the city, leave the house.
It's a weekend, leave the house.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
Man.
Speaker 3 (44:04):
Maybe maybe something happens man like that.
Speaker 4 (44:07):
That's it's a.
Speaker 3 (44:08):
Random it's that's it's not even really a story.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
Yeah, that's something like I would bring up in a
party and like I was talking something like if I'm
with my say I'm with my girl and we're watching
a show parks res he pops up and I'm like, oh, yeah,
you know, I was at a bar one time this
guy walked in.
Speaker 3 (44:24):
Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 4 (44:24):
That's that's that's it. That's it.
Speaker 3 (44:26):
Nothing more, No conversation on thathing nothing. Yeah, yeah, hey man,
keep doing comedy, you know, nothing like that.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
Yeah, it was you would have come to comedy, you
know what I mean. But it was just a little
fucking anecdote in my life, in our life.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
Yeah, that's great, that's great. It's the same thing with
what's his face from Caruso when you ran into I
ran into Caruso when it was on the team.
Speaker 4 (44:48):
That was great.
Speaker 3 (44:49):
Actually, I actually had a chat with him this background.
I'm still working for the Joey Company. Hit him up, like,
get my biss color. Hey man, you know, I would
love to do a piece for you, you know, hit
me up. Nothing, nothing, dude. I sent him a message
probably like uh probably three four days later with Matthew
and nothing, dude, something, Oh, this is it, this is it.
I mess on famous, we wapped up. Cool, awesome, we
(45:12):
move on, you know.
Speaker 2 (45:13):
Yeah, it's like it's an antidote.
Speaker 4 (45:15):
Yeah, you want the basketball game.
Speaker 2 (45:16):
You were your girl like, oh yeah, I met that
guy to fucking with the bar.
Speaker 3 (45:19):
It was a joy bar.
Speaker 4 (45:21):

Speaker 2 (45:24):
Ye, like that happened like, I'm mad you have at
least one like that, No, like med someone famous. Yeah,
just like if you you were in some fucking area,
you do it in the bat and you know you
run into fucking so and so so.
Speaker 3 (45:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (45:36):
Yeah, it happens, run into like famous DJ's artists. It's
like this girl, uh girls talking to she ran too,
like this other like actor or something like recording some
show or some ship.
Speaker 3 (45:50):

a glimpse. I just want to see the car man.
Speaker 4 (46:16):

Speaker 3 (46:18):
Also, I met DJ Snake you Mett, Did you Snake?
The reason why I say that is because once again
Valerie hit her hit him up. That's some one.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
I don't want to make sure.
Speaker 3 (46:32):
Valerie hit them up saying hey, could we get some

We told him thank you.
Speaker 4 (46:57):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (46:59):
That's that's I mean, maybe because that was your story,
her story. Yeah, I don't know what happened then.
Speaker 2 (47:06):
Yeah, there was a whole payback event dude that you
missed part two.
Speaker 3 (47:11):
I don't know what happened to that, dude. But still,
who who's the most famous person you met so far?
The most famous person at least you're in the vicinity.
That's a good question, because I mean, you you've been
(47:31):
around other DJs. You've been around I know for sure,
Magladon you've been around famous Sudden Death. Yeah, same thing
as death Subtronics, book Boogie t Yeah, who hellse? Who
else would be?
Speaker 4 (47:53):
And that's it.
Speaker 3 (47:53):
That's what I can think of right now.
Speaker 4 (47:56):
Those guys from we don't talk about do I.
Speaker 5 (48:04):
So many?
Speaker 3 (48:06):
Oh another famous person I met, I actually took a
picture with music okay, okay, yeah, I forgot it was

You mean you are yeah, they're they're they're known if.
Speaker 3 (48:23):
You're in the in the scene, but you don't know them,
you don't hear their names, you have no them, like
I don't know. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure, dude,
I met Alan Iverson bro me too, Yeah, yeah, you
have videos but yeah yeah, I actually yeah, yeah, yeah
I met.
Speaker 4 (48:41):
That one Davis.
Speaker 2 (48:43):
Now did you meet everything I ever seen in the
same event that he met him?
Speaker 4 (48:48):
Yeah? He was it at the store.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
I was never there.
Speaker 4 (48:52):
Oh remember, oh this is this is past I was.
I went to Cleveland for the All Star Game. For sure.
Speaker 3 (48:58):
We're there to let them borrow.
Speaker 4 (48:59):
Some Uh you don't know that.
Speaker 3 (49:05):
Yeah, I know some people.
Speaker 4 (49:06):
I mean, now that I think about it.
Speaker 5 (49:09):
So I was helped.
Speaker 4 (49:10):
I was helping out my my homies, and I was
actually his security guard. Bro, Are you really yeah yeah,
So I was like the last guy like.
Speaker 3 (49:19):
Hey, go get your autographed or like no, you can't
get the autograph. Yeah yeah, I mean he's pretty famous definitely, definitely.
Speaker 4 (49:26):
One of the legend.
Speaker 2 (49:27):
Bro, are you pro picture or against picture?
Speaker 4 (49:31):
Like taking pictures with in general, not with famous people.
I don't give I'll take a picture with them. But yeah,
but you like, are you are you? Like?
Speaker 5 (49:38):
Are you like?
Speaker 2 (49:39):
I will ask if I give permission I need, I
will ask that picture.
Speaker 4 (49:42):
Yeah. No, yeah, I'm not gonna be like yo, like
just like snap a picture?
Speaker 2 (49:46):
He can I can I get a picture?
Speaker 4 (49:47):
Yeah? Yeah, yeah I do have a picture with him. Yeah,
I have it on my phone.
Speaker 3 (49:50):
Always.
Speaker 7 (49:52):
You gotta you gotta like set up if you're like
I'm a fan of yours, you're just hanging out or whatever,
you see him after the show.
Speaker 5 (49:57):
Let me get a quick pick.
Speaker 7 (49:59):
What if you're like back stage or you bump into them,
you're talking and you're having a conversation. Don't get the.
Speaker 4 (50:03):
Pick backstage.
Speaker 5 (50:05):
Like just shooting the ship like maybe I'm.
Speaker 2 (50:07):
A fan and you're like, you gotta start talking about
I feel I feel like that would that I would
be more open to that than the other way around.
Speaker 7 (50:11):
But it almost you almost kind of killed like the
vibe where you're like, oh, like we're getting along and
then you're like, hey, can I just get a pick.
Speaker 9 (50:16):
And they're like, I guess yeah, but like, yeah, I
get it because you know, like like we were talking
about I say this, if you're backstage, it's like you
already kind of been within.
Speaker 3 (50:28):
Within the realm of meeting famous people, so you'll probably
like you would act a certain way. It's not like
I was a normal thing for you.
Speaker 2 (50:36):
Is it more or less like a sense of like,
you know, as a famous person, you know, they want
to take a pick. You know, if you meet somebody
they want to pick, you.
Speaker 5 (50:44):
Want to on the street, you see him like, oh ship,
you're so and so can I get a pick?
Speaker 4 (50:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (50:48):
Cool? And transaction move on. But like if you're interacting
with them, like you're.
Speaker 4 (50:52):
Kind of.
Speaker 2 (50:54):
Like, let's say and let's say in a different in
a different in a different you know universe.
Speaker 3 (51:00):
You know, we have a conversation with sus Sorry, you.
Speaker 2 (51:03):
Know, I'm like, hey man, you know, blah blah, you
know we do comedy here to say we saw you
the ones? Yeah, you know, like I would never ask picture.
I would never ask a picture, Like, I just I
just I don't have any me, I don't have any melt.
Speaker 1 (51:16):
I don't want a fang girl. But but I also,
you know, it's not that I look down upon it
or anything like that. I just I just I don't
have it in me. But I would love for them
to be like, you want to take.
Speaker 2 (51:25):
A picture, man, I'm like, hell, yeah, come on, buddy.
Speaker 1 (51:29):
Yeah, you know that's why I'm.
Speaker 2 (51:31):
Like, you know, I'll be like, yeah, I want to
take a picture.
Speaker 7 (51:36):
I'll definitely ask if you come up and you're being
like the fan boy like hey man, I love your
stuff this and then like and they're like just.
Speaker 5 (51:41):
Goning to get this over with, get the pick all right, peace.
Speaker 2 (51:43):
But like you know, but I was telling good mom,
I'm like, we would have gotten a picture from and
he would have been an asshole because that would have
been a grace over in the podcast, no.
Speaker 3 (51:53):
Matter no matter what what picture, no picture.
Speaker 2 (51:55):
Yeah, because if you would have been like, no, man,
I'm good, I'm like, you know who we metlast night? Man,
And if we let him alone the whole night, all right, yeah,
click that ship up real quick and put out there.
But no, but yeah, like for sure, but you know,
like you know, it would be cool, especially you know,
weren't the word of comedy, so it would have been
(52:17):
cool for us to take a picture with pulls up
on dating the orn and.
Speaker 1 (52:21):
Then you know people like, oh cool you met, right.
Speaker 3 (52:24):
I just don't. I don't have quote. He told not
to quit guys. Yeah, keep going, follow your dreams.
Speaker 5 (52:30):
We can do like a I was like, I love.
Speaker 2 (52:36):
Lit this Friday.
Speaker 4 (52:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (52:40):
I think a lot of them like some do care,
some like I don't care. I'm gonna say this. I
feel kind of bad saying it. But like Allen Iverson
did not want to be there, so he was.
Speaker 3 (52:51):
He was he was doing a like an autograph, didn't
yeah right, and uh bro he was pissed.
Speaker 4 (52:58):
He's like he was just ready to go. Yeah, like
he was ready to go. He did not want to
be there.
Speaker 6 (53:03):
Like there's people some people asked them some stupid ass
questions like I just I'm like, dude, you're literally this
is a fucking legend right here.
Speaker 4 (53:10):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (53:10):
Remember the game that you had and like you just
like crossed the guy. Yeah, motherfucker was there.
Speaker 4 (53:16):
He crossed uff, he crossed out, he crossed up.
Speaker 3 (53:20):

in l A. What was his name, he's a coach
now he literally walked over him the picture the guy
called the picture. Yeah, yeah, ball had a dude.
Speaker 4 (53:36):
Yeah he was.
Speaker 1 (53:37):
He he coached your cabs when was on it Alan.
Speaker 3 (53:41):
Namous picture.
Speaker 4 (53:45):
What's his name?
Speaker 3 (53:46):
It's literally just walked over the baker.
Speaker 2 (53:49):
Yeah, it's you know, walkod walked over No, no.
Speaker 4 (53:53):
No, okay, there go there yeah yeah yeah. What's his name?
Speaker 3 (53:57):

Speaker 4 (53:58):
Yeah, yeah, yeah Lou. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (54:01):
The lady just steps over him.
Speaker 4 (54:02):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (54:04):
But to be fairwell was he was he supposed to
walk around?
Speaker 4 (54:06):
I mean, I mean he was looking him like. Yeah.
That was like a thing though, like back in the
day for basketball, like sports.
Speaker 3 (54:13):
You mean you mean like the real, real basketball. Yeah,
people the stuff like some thugs back then, Bro, Jesus,
but I was. I just remember also Matt Joey Badass.
It was actually freaking dicky, Bro. I was in the
hotel Joey Badass literally right before you. Joey Badass is
a wrap around of New York. He's got thirty years old.
The guy can rap, bro white boy. He's Mexican, I
(54:36):
mean Mexican black. I don't know what Joey he says. Really,
I haven't heard of his music. Yeah, it's a little
but what about him?
Speaker 4 (54:43):
But yeah, I met him.
Speaker 3 (54:44):
He was in the in the hotel like I was
going up, I was gonna about to go up the
elevator or something pull out like out of the first floor. Yeah, yeah,
freaking joy badss. He performed freakingky that Yeah, okay, okay,
and I'm like, holy.
Speaker 4 (54:54):
Ship, that's him.
Speaker 3 (54:55):
So I walked up like yo, a big fan, like
love music blah blah blah, and just shook up and
that pictures.
Speaker 2 (55:02):
But you're yeah you were so you didn't ask peoples
he if he was that guy? You were like, I
know who you are?
Speaker 6 (55:08):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know who he was. It was
Joey Badass. I've met some business people too. I met
grand Cardon. Yeah what do you mean, grank Cardon.
Speaker 3 (55:20):
They're just business conferences that I've been to, Okay, Mark
Cuban too, Okay, okay.
Speaker 4 (55:25):
But it's like it's quick, bro.
Speaker 3 (55:26):
Like, oh, but you're spending some money in those tickets
sometimes yeah, yeah, what's the most spent on one of
those conferences?
Speaker 4 (55:33):
Conferences?
Speaker 6 (55:35):
Not much like a g bro, it's worth it. It's like, yeah,
what you get what depends where you go. But like
the stuff you information you get.
Speaker 4 (55:43):
Out of it.
Speaker 3 (55:43):
Sometimes it's like it's honestly life change, has it? So
let's say habitat you spent around?
Speaker 2 (55:48):
Wait wait, so you've been to those events where it's
like networking business conferences with who.
Speaker 4 (55:57):
I met Grant Cardon?
Speaker 1 (56:00):
Yeah yeah, that was.
Speaker 4 (56:02):
Like training something.
Speaker 3 (56:03):
Yeah we did, I did, we did training one of
those guys. Yeah yeah, yeah, okay, for sure, Yeah I remember,
but yeah yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah. Then Mark
Cuban he owns them, still does.
Speaker 4 (56:15):
Oh yeah, well that show was crazy. I think he's
a billionaire, Like that's insane. Yeah, yeah, so that's nuts.
Speaker 3 (56:21):
So so let me ask you on that you spent
let's say, five thousand dollars and natural stop conferences more
or more? Okay, has it truly? Has you seen an
impact on has it paid dividends?
Speaker 5 (56:35):
There?
Speaker 4 (56:35):
We go, yeah, how's it paid diffidence?
Speaker 3 (56:37):
Mentally? Financially, the question is like, did.
Speaker 2 (56:41):
You make you know, let's say let's say it was
five grand? Yeah, did you have you made that five
grand back?
Speaker 3 (56:45):
Because of that under.
Speaker 6 (56:48):
It's it's like it really stretches your vision. I think
that's the biggest thing for me, Like, I mean, I
didn't grow up with much. But it just shows you
the possibilities of like what your life can be, like
the advice they give you, the wisdom that they have.
Speaker 3 (57:02):
Right, So what what what?
Speaker 4 (57:03):
What?
Speaker 2 (57:04):
What?
Speaker 3 (57:04):
What do you live by? Like, what's what's your one
quote that you don't want? I live by this quote?
Speaker 4 (57:09):
By quote didn't raise a bitch.
Speaker 3 (57:11):
Yeah, but you know something in your head, something in
your head, like you know what I I truly believe
in what these words mean.
Speaker 4 (57:19):
I truly believe what these words mean.
Speaker 3 (57:21):
Especially being from you know you like one of those
type of things, something that you keep close to you.
Speaker 6 (57:26):
I mean honestly, Like most of the time, I just
think it's like I'm gonna live once bro, Like like
I need to live the best life possible, to do
whatever it takes to get the job done at the
end of the day. That's that's the way I see
see life. But it wasn't like that before. But reading
has really helped me, Like it really changed my life
self improvement. Like audios, A lot of people think it's bullshit,
(57:49):
but it's not.
Speaker 3 (57:50):
You know, like if it's you know this guy, you know,
I'm in front of him about I'm back in the day.
It makes fun of me about audio busts.
Speaker 4 (57:59):
All my side think is this, My thing is this.
Speaker 2 (58:02):
I believe, I believe they help, don't get me wrong,
get me wrong, but but I also I also have this,
you know, this mindset where it's like when you when
you you know, you hear these stuff and you you know,
read the books. Isn't that ship you already know? Not
not when it comes to like the it's like the
main idea, the small details for sure, like you know,
(58:24):
if you were to do this instead of doing that,
this might you know, elevate your portfolio by like ten percent.
Obviously I don't know, you know, you don't know that
it's not innate, But the big concept is innate, you
know what I mean. It's always the principles like work hard,
fucking you know, network, you know, do this, you know
you're not you know you're not gonna make any money,
(58:45):
you're gonna software, you're gonna not get any sleep. Just
fucking put in the fucking effort. The number one thing
is put in that fucking effort right. Obviously, accept the details,
the minor details. That's where you really gain from reading
the book or listening to like a self help or
going to like an event right.
Speaker 3 (59:00):
Overall overall.
Speaker 2 (59:02):
When when I when I think of those events, like
those you know, like books, I'm like, it's ship that
you already know, right. It's like, you know, I've never
read the Bible, but I'm pretty sure you shouldn't hit women, right,
You're pretty sure.
Speaker 3 (59:18):
I'm pretty sure.
Speaker 7 (59:19):
It's the it's the reinforcement we all know, like eat well,
get your sleep, taking vitamins, and it's.
Speaker 3 (59:24):
Like, well work out if I don't, yeah, I don't
even that.
Speaker 5 (59:28):
I'll be all right. It's like why are you doing that?
Speaker 3 (59:30):
You just need that little push, you just need it
in your brain exactly exactly.
Speaker 1 (59:33):
It's like you know, you know exactly.
Speaker 2 (59:36):
You go to like a health book, right, and then
like you know, hey, you want to make sure you're
moving around, don't don't be standing, like, don't sit in
the couch after you're eating, you know all this stuff
like obviously, but of course, yeah, right, you are.
Speaker 7 (59:49):
Brief It's like vision boards are just putting it out
in the in the world like hey, I want to
do X, Y and Z. Yeah yeah, I said it, okay,
but it's like, yeah, it's something I want to do.
But it's like, are you pushing it. Are you putting
a goal to that? Yeah, just it's just helping you
reinforce all that ship.
Speaker 4 (01:00:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:00:06):
This half the time I'll read bullshit on Instagram. It's
like do these ten things a day. It's like, yeah,
I'm not sleeping eight hours.
Speaker 3 (01:00:13):
I'm not doing that. Man.
Speaker 2 (01:00:16):
Yeah, you know, I think for the most part, people
who who succeed in that life, you know, succeed in
life like it's innate, Like it's you're born with that mindset,
You're gonna you're gonna get you.
Speaker 4 (01:00:30):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
I don't think.
Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
I don't disagree.
Speaker 5 (01:00:32):
Definitely learn a lot of people like his work, work
ethics are.
Speaker 2 (01:00:36):
But you're like, you have the base, the base level
of that right because I don't think you want I don't.
I don't think you can make a loser into a champ.
I don't think either that person already has something in it.
Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
You know, they were, they were almost there.
Speaker 5 (01:00:50):
Everybody everybody needs that push. Man.
Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
I know I'm going to say, but I don't think
like you can't make a complete loser into a complete champion.
Speaker 1 (01:00:58):
I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (01:00:58):
I think you'll try to higher levels.
Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
Can Yeah, you can make it better, but you can't
make it from zero to one hundred. I think they
have to be at least like twenty five percent. And
then it was the you know everything else that made
them to that. Yeah, complete that seventy five percent two hundred, Okay,
that's what I think.
Speaker 5 (01:01:15):
Be the best that you can be.
Speaker 7 (01:01:16):
Yeah, yeah, we'd all love to be Jordan, right, just
fucking yeah, being the greatest basketball player. It's like, well,
I'm not Jordan. I'm not that tall, I don't have
that skill. It's like, all right, I can still be
as good as.
Speaker 5 (01:01:27):
I can be trying to be Jordan for sure, but yeah,
will never be Jordan.
Speaker 3 (01:01:33):
But yeah, get the effort though. You could give the
Jordan effort. You could give the Jordan effort.
Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
By me because example, for example, like like the men
that you went to, right, yeah, how many how many
of those guys became multimillionaires afterwards?
Speaker 4 (01:01:44):
It's like it's like anything, bro, And.
Speaker 1 (01:01:49):
That's my that's my argument.
Speaker 7 (01:01:50):
But how many of those let's say, out of ten
of those guys, how many are still striving for it?
Speaker 4 (01:01:55):
For sure?
Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
But that was the five percent that was the people
that already had it in them.
Speaker 3 (01:01:58):
They just needed that little push yeah, a little bit
of to get to that next.
Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
Level, but the majority of them, no, you know what
I mean, Like people go to soccer camp, they all
want to be soccer players. There's one of the people
that were already had that little omf in it. Yeah,
they were able to take.
Speaker 7 (01:02:12):
All the actors, all the people that want to be
famous on TikTok. Everybody's on the TikTok. Dude, like you
you keep scrolling, you're gonna find some ship. Yeah, and
they already have like a thousand videos and you're like,
why are you doing this? Meanwhile you're posting some good stuff,
but you only have twenty for sure.
Speaker 5 (01:02:26):
Yeah, is that same work ethics still there? It's like
this guy's busting ass, but it's just putting out ship.
But I got better quality. Yeah, I gotta try more
because I have better ship.
Speaker 3 (01:02:35):
Or Yeah, here's the thing. If you keep putting the effort,
you're gonna be higher than if you set yourself a local, right,
you always gonna be higher you put in the effort.
Because we've seen an in the common world. We have
two friends that two different work ethics, two different they
went two different trajectories. That's not righty trajectories. But it's
(01:02:57):
two pazzo. They're still doing the damn thing, but one
hit up the major, major peak, and one is like
get in there, you know, in the middle, but still
higher than doing what you would originally do if you
don't put something a goal. You know what I'm saying.
We talk about it. There's a lot of hometown heroes
versus there's now he's a couple of people are traveling,
a couple of a couple people have tours.
Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
But I think that we're having two different conversations because
I would just going base off the principle of like,
but no, for sure, I think the majority people who
do self help ship yeah, don't don't succeed because end
of the day, I still need you still need that.
Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
If you don't have that ump, you're not gonna make it.
Speaker 2 (01:03:37):
You know, It's like, you know what is the It's
like the fucking stupid image where it's like they get
in the diamond right beforehand, dude, and you just would
have gone a little bit more, you would want more.
Speaker 3 (01:03:49):
That's just my argument.
Speaker 2 (01:03:50):
I think self help does help. I think people who
really in taking, who really absorb the material, Yeah, you
can there's.
Speaker 7 (01:03:56):
A lot of times where people are ready to quit
and they're like, you know what, let me just give
it one last try, just keep working at it for
a little bit longer, and then bam something happens.
Speaker 5 (01:04:03):
But they're like, ship, I was ready to quit fucking
two months ago.
Speaker 3 (01:04:06):
That's why his podcast has been living for eight years.
Man A right, We've gone through so many diamonds. Yeah,
we find a little pebbles, but hey, we'll take we'll
take take it in a different exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
I would dooke around with the mom like the powerm
was is that a small little victory extends like ten
miles for us.
Speaker 3 (01:04:26):
That's what you gotta get.
Speaker 5 (01:04:28):
You got to reset your goals. Like I do jiu jitsu.
Speaker 7 (01:04:33):
Onebody that I started doing with he's a lot stronger
than me, and after class he's like, oh, like I submitted,
this guy, submitted this guy, And I'm like, cool, I
didn't get tapped ten times today.
Speaker 5 (01:04:42):
I got like, that's my fucking victory. Yeah, it's everybody's journey.
You take what you can get. And yeah, don't don't compare.
What is the comparisons the it's the joy or something
like that.
Speaker 3 (01:04:55):
And it's a lot of comparison nowadays and everything, especially
with social media, you compare yourself with every id damn
person on Instagram on TikTok, Like, man, why am I not?
Speaker 5 (01:05:04):
That doesn't matter how many followers you got, man, Yeah, yeah,
to have them. But if your dog ship, your dog ship.
Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
Yeah, that's true. That's true. We we said it before.
We know somebody in the comedy scene that has a
million followers. I guess what doesn't amount of ship?
Speaker 4 (01:05:18):
You know they mean they're.
Speaker 3 (01:05:28):
Yeah the ship, bros. Simple, I get it.
Speaker 4 (01:05:30):
Yeah, I think a lot of it.
Speaker 6 (01:05:31):
I mean back like the self improvement there's a lot
of it, is like b BS bro like. For sure,
there's some books that I definitely just like, I've read
books where it's like I'm not going to teach this
to anyone, you know what I'm saying. But there are
books that are really good. Like there's like the one
book that honestly, in my opinion, changed my life. It's
called Thinking Girl Rich by Napoleon Hill. So Napoleon Hill
(01:05:54):
he actually dedicated his life to studying successful people.
Speaker 3 (01:05:59):
And we all have or definition of success. You know,
it can be monetary, it can be you know, health wise.
Speaker 4 (01:06:06):
I have that book right now, it can be spiritual. Yeah,
in the audio that book you got.
Speaker 6 (01:06:11):
It's not like you can't read it, you gotta study it,
but I give you step by step like what you
gotta do to be successful. Obviously the titles think and
Grow Rich, so it involves, you know, monetary value, but
that the first chapter is a desire, like you were
talking about, they got to have it in them that
they want it. That's like, so he did a study
his whole he dedicated his whole life to studying successful people,
(01:06:33):
and he took the most common things out of these
successful people and what they did to get to where
they're at. And yeah, the first thing was desire. You know,
you gotta you gotta plan out want it.
Speaker 4 (01:06:43):
You gotta want it.
Speaker 6 (01:06:44):
You got a burning desire for whatever it is that
you do. For example, like you guys have a burning
desire you know, to take this podcast to X y
Z level. Right, So it's like it starts with that
and then step by step you know how to get
to the next level. And uh, there's a secret in
the book. They don't talk about it till like the end,
but the secret in the book is actually going over
(01:07:06):
your goals and like the plan for this one twice
a day, once once in the morning, so reading them
in the morning and then reading them at night.
Speaker 4 (01:07:16):
But this book, the biggest thing that I took out
of it is like how to think.
Speaker 6 (01:07:19):
There's a chapter in it called out of Suggestion, and
it's like I grew up I always say, like we
grew up studying like math, we study history, we study
hot science, but they never teach us how to think.
And there's a chapter in the book called auto suggestion
where it's like if I ever have a negative thought,
it's like I replace it with a positive thought. So
(01:07:41):
I trained my brain whenever I have something negative or
something that it's not going to help me, it's like,
how do I replace that thought to a positive one?
And the reason I bring it up because like it
did change my life. Like if I would have known
this information when I was like playing sports, you know,
elementary school, in middle school, it would have been completely
different because it was all mental.
Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
It is all mental, I I if I if I
can say it's exactly the same way that when I
played football, especially in high school, with my mental state
of mind was probably at the lowest I can remember
versus being in college was It's not a day difference, man,
you know what I'm saying. But I I agree the
(01:08:23):
mental party that is probably everything when it comes out
of this. I'm almost actually probably like in I have
the book, I have the audiobook. I think I'm right
now my model suggestion. So I'm getting I'm getting to it.
I'll get into it.
Speaker 4 (01:08:34):
Yes, change your life like this podcast.
Speaker 3 (01:08:38):
Reading ship, I think reading exact the same.
Speaker 2 (01:08:42):
What do you think, man, listening and reading?
Speaker 4 (01:08:44):
What do you what?
Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
Do you think it has more values?
Speaker 6 (01:08:47):
So let's pull this up. Well, actually every touched just
space and we'll get back to that's cool with you guys.
Imagination is really big, like so it's like we have this,
we have so everything begins in the mind. So like
we're sitting in chairs that were ideal of somebody at
one point. You know, we're sending in these couches. If
that person never like put it to like, it would
have never happened.
Speaker 4 (01:09:07):
You know.
Speaker 3 (01:09:07):
The biggest, the craziest one is like the flight Brothers,
they created the aircraft airplane, Like just imagine the things
that that were told to them these like just imagine
being the present time, Like what are they doing?
Speaker 6 (01:09:19):
Like they're really good to think they're gonna fly in
the sky, and they pulled it off. But it all
started in their their imagination. So it's like we have
this goal of, you know, for example, to take this
podcast to be number one podcast in the world. It's like,
it's an imagination. People are probably gonna tell us are crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:09:36):
Our parents agree with them. You know how many issues
I'm having my dad because you're still doing that show.
I was about to say, I give them my wife. Yeah,
there's been sacrifice made on both sides. Yeah, it's been
sacrifices made both sides.
Speaker 6 (01:09:55):
Parents, friends, Like everyone's gonna like bash you on it,
on your imagination, but it's like it's so important.
Speaker 5 (01:10:01):
Yeah, but and you're positive. Stay off the comments. Yeah,
we're not going to read them.
Speaker 2 (01:10:11):
Yeah, that's a big one there. And uh, I forgot
where we're going to go back to. I forgot what
did I say? Oh yeah, do you do you think
the same value in then and listening? Then it isn't reading.
Speaker 4 (01:10:23):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:10:24):
So if you want to pull up, there's something called
the learning pyramid. So another thing is like, like I said,
we don't learn, we don't learn how to think. We
never get taught how to learn. So if we pull
this learning pyramid up and people will learn different ways.
So for example, like a lecture in school, for example,
a lot of people say that, you know, these colleges,
(01:10:44):
these universities, like, we don't learn anything anymore, and it's
like it's because you don't really capture information. If you
were to get a lecture, you're only going to retain
about five percent of the information that you just got.
You know, reading's good, audio visuals twenty percent. So if
you listen to you know podcast, you know, we have senses.
So the more senses you use, the more likely you
are to retain the information, demonstration, discussion practice by doing
(01:11:09):
and then teaching others.
Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
Always, I've always understood that teaching is the best way.
Speaker 3 (01:11:13):
To Well, you need to understand it before you teach others,
for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:11:17):
But even but even in teaching, you can understand it
better because maybe you didn't understand it at first, and
then you're like, now that i'm teaching that I can
make sense to me.
Speaker 4 (01:11:24):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:11:25):
Teaching others is like I think Bruce Lee said, I
don't fear a man that knows a hundred kicks.
Speaker 4 (01:11:30):
He's like I fear the man that practice one kick times. Yeah. Yeah,
it's like.
Speaker 3 (01:11:35):
That's the master, damn, goddamn or that master. Right, he's
like the master has failed. You're learning from someone that's
the master. It's like the master has failed so many
times more than.
Speaker 5 (01:11:46):
The master has tried. That's your biggest thing is you
got to try it?
Speaker 4 (01:11:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:11:50):
I also think them all read it would improve his English.
Speaker 3 (01:11:58):
Physical guys.
Speaker 6 (01:12:01):
It's just like stuff that we never It's not a
subject in the school curriculum.
Speaker 4 (01:12:06):
No, no, not.
Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
The way that the teaching his country is garbage.
Speaker 4 (01:12:09):
I think.
Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
I think, you know, at least in high school. I
know we had like the what was it called the
financial class that we did come on the financial class
probably trying to do taxes. Oh no, home, No, that's
something something along the lines, yeah, something something like that.
Speaker 4 (01:12:32):
Yeah, yeah, that's the boy there to teach. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:12:37):
The problem, Yeah, you don't teach man.
Speaker 2 (01:12:41):
People trying to look at that McDonald's right now.
Speaker 3 (01:12:45):
You mean he's civil leader, bro.
Speaker 4 (01:12:47):
Actually we should find out what he's up to.
Speaker 1 (01:12:50):
I hope grand condone right there.
Speaker 3 (01:12:55):
He made it.
Speaker 5 (01:12:56):
Man, kids don't learn what a piece of paper?
Speaker 3 (01:12:59):
Man not not home.
Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
Whatever the point was it was some class for it
was like a small teaching of what taxes are taxes stocks?
Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
Stocks?
Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
Like that should have been a huge portion of you.
Speaker 3 (01:13:12):
Don't people were successful if they did like push that.
Speaker 2 (01:13:15):
Yeah, now you know, because like we don't, like you
don't know nothing coming out of high school. You know nothing,
you know nothing, you know nothing, you know you know
the nine eleven happened. And because I was there, you
know what I'm saying. When I mean I was there,
I was you know, on TV. But otherwise you don't
learn anything.
Speaker 4 (01:13:34):
You really don't.
Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
You know, all Mexicans take Spanish just getting these the
one A I got in high school.
Speaker 5 (01:13:39):
I couldn't take Spanish in grade school.
Speaker 3 (01:13:41):
Because I gotta be I gotta be.
Speaker 4 (01:13:43):
Guys, Still, that's crazy.
Speaker 7 (01:13:46):
I didn't take Italian and I failed it everything, even
did GA Spanish.
Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
But but yeah, but it's like if they actually if
high school they actually treated with that, so like, hey,
these next four years are going to beat to get
you ready for the fucking life after high school.
Speaker 7 (01:14:06):
At school, it's all just get good test grades so
you can get good on your application because they want
to see like this, many people went to college.
Speaker 3 (01:14:14):
Well because everything is based off of how many people
you sent to college because in that school gets money
from the state.
Speaker 4 (01:14:21):
Is that what it is?
Speaker 2 (01:14:21):
I had?
Speaker 7 (01:14:22):
I had a new teacher in high school who's fresh
out of college, like teaching me, got his degree and
all that shit. And he's like, I'm gonna teach you
guys like a college class, like I'm gonna leture you
guys take notes, you guys read the chapter or do notes.
And I'm sitting there. I'm like, you're expecting a certain
way to do notes. He's like, one of this is
how I do notes. This is what I retained. And
(01:14:43):
I'm like, this is nothing like and you get a
plus or minus, like oh, there's no fucking plus and
minuses in college.
Speaker 5 (01:14:50):
It's just pass the test and move the fuck on.
And I'm like, dude, this is what I retained out
of it.
Speaker 7 (01:14:55):
He's like, well, you should have more notes and I go, well,
teach me fucking better and he failed me, and I'm like,
this is your fault.
Speaker 3 (01:15:01):
What's What's the one image where they're watching a baseball
game and there's a tall guy, a median guy, and
a short guy and it shows like injustice and inequality.
Speaker 1 (01:15:11):
But the one that the one that one is on
the box.
Speaker 3 (01:15:12):
Yeah, exactly, that one, that one, that one that just
popped my head because I mean, like people, I know
it's for it's for something else, but people learn different ways.
But you're just teach them one way. Well, only ten
percent of that class is going to succeed. The middle
pack is going to be okay, and then the people
that don't learn that way gonna fail, are not gonna
be good.
Speaker 1 (01:15:32):
Like I'm almost to speak Spanish.
Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
For my whole career.
Speaker 4 (01:15:40):
Just what you're saying.
Speaker 3 (01:15:45):
I had a good time. You saw that had a good.
Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
Time because you were smartest kid there.
Speaker 3 (01:15:52):
Probably your English is fly.
Speaker 4 (01:15:56):
Thank you, bro.
Speaker 3 (01:15:58):
I was a U s O and my I think
are a year. I was with his younger brother. I
think it was sixth grade at the time. Dude, we're
just fun around, you saw the whole time. Dude, Dude,
we would uh, we don't set up fights in the bathroom.
Speaker 4 (01:16:14):
Body shots. Body shots.
Speaker 3 (01:16:15):
Yeah, body shots were made.
Speaker 4 (01:16:22):
Our boy.
Speaker 3 (01:16:22):
And that's though I fought one. Yeah, he fought one
of the kids that new knowing less year straight from Mexico,
straight from that dude, and we got him a fight
in the bathroom.
Speaker 4 (01:16:33):
That cruise.
Speaker 3 (01:16:34):
All, yea cruise. Yeah I forgot that.
Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
Yeah yeah, yeah, we we we started. We told them
they were talking about each other. Yeah, you guys are bad,
even know they even though they were the.
Speaker 5 (01:16:50):
Same, nobody said ship dude, that guy's talking about you
with him.
Speaker 4 (01:16:56):
You didn't even speak English. Stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:16:58):
And I remember, I do.
Speaker 2 (01:17:00):
I'm going to die. I'm want to die. And this
memory is gonna pass, you know how the last breath
everything you relive your life. Right, there's gonna be a
moment in there because I still remember this to this day.
I'm looking at it right now as I'm talking about this.
We're in the bathroom. There's twenty Mexicans proudly in there, dude,
and we have our boy who's one of our bell
one stall, yeah, one of our best friends, one of
(01:17:24):
our best friends, and we we pushed him to a fight.
He had no business to be in. And this guy
we've all been there and this guy's so we're like,
hey man, you guys talk to s. You know we're
gonna do fight. Bah, we're gonna beet between these hours
and then this is gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (01:17:39):
School school, and we.
Speaker 1 (01:17:44):
We set it up.
Speaker 2 (01:17:45):
We get in the bathroom. And then we're like, all right, guys,
starry and let's get on right. And I remember my boy,
my boys niggas name. He pushes him and he looks
to us.
Speaker 4 (01:17:59):
He looks like.
Speaker 3 (01:18:01):
Guyan.
Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
And then the other guy he's like, all right, I
guess he comes back.
Speaker 3 (01:18:09):
He pushes them.
Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
He pushes our boy and he looks at us. He's like,
he's like, we're doing it right.
Speaker 5 (01:18:14):
And I'm like, you guys, pull out the controllers.
Speaker 1 (01:18:17):
I was like, I'm like, hey, somebody has got punch.
Speaker 2 (01:18:20):
Stream earth an instigator.
Speaker 3 (01:18:24):
Come on.
Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
The guy in the crowd be like, put pussy rip yeah,
And I mean nothing happened. It was just a couple
of pushes and then the bell rang and we were like, story,
but the rail rang, but we got to get out
of here.
Speaker 5 (01:18:39):
They're still pushing each other.
Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
Yeah, kid, the ship. We got him into.
Speaker 1 (01:18:45):
This guy, this guy he used to he was this guy.
Speaker 3 (01:18:48):
He's committed crimes.
Speaker 4 (01:18:49):
Get the white.
Speaker 5 (01:18:51):
Whole against them, dude.
Speaker 2 (01:18:52):
This guy just shanked little white kids three three, three
times smaller than who he was in the bath.
Speaker 1 (01:19:00):
So we still have this thing where we would.
Speaker 2 (01:19:01):
Turn off the This is also for our listeners who
listen to the podcast like half all times.
Speaker 1 (01:19:07):
But basically we turned off the lights in the bathroom and.
Speaker 3 (01:19:09):
We're taking the piss.
Speaker 2 (01:19:10):
People were taking the piss, and so they would be
in the urinal. Are your weakest, at your weakest, like
only taking a ship would be weaker than that.
Speaker 5 (01:19:18):
At least you got the door.
Speaker 2 (01:19:19):
Yeah you have door, right, but you're.
Speaker 4 (01:19:21):
In the urinal.
Speaker 2 (01:19:21):
You're taking the piss. And then we woul turn on
the lights and then we would go in there and
start shaking people just just just thought your fish yea.
Speaker 3 (01:19:30):
Quick and then you run out right, yeah, laughing, laughing
like school girls.
Speaker 4 (01:19:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:19:35):
And this guy used to used to find the little
the smallest white and this guy's been six feet so
it's like that was you.
Speaker 5 (01:19:45):
And I already in high school. The kids picking on.
Speaker 4 (01:19:49):
And you got to spend it, right.
Speaker 3 (01:19:50):
I got suspended, Yeah, I got from MoMA from actually
I suspended on the week. I think it was like
four days, and one of the days my birthday. So
I hung out with my mom and she made me
birthday everything, birthday breakfast, lunch, dinner. That's a good time. Honestly,
that was a great time.
Speaker 4 (01:20:07):
Dude. You're alad you guys.
Speaker 3 (01:20:08):
I was so like, damn I got for mob action, dude,
for gang activities.
Speaker 2 (01:20:14):
Like, wow, that's your life, that's life.
Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
Well, let me ask you, let me ask you this.
What's what's the one? What's some advice you give us?
Speaker 4 (01:20:25):
Man?
Speaker 3 (01:20:25):
You see you see us, Yeah, you see we've been
doing this podcast for years. Yeah, what's some advice that
you give us?
Speaker 5 (01:20:32):
Man?
Speaker 3 (01:20:32):
Quit what you're ahead? Man, let's say you're doing your
own seminars. What's a couple of words you tell us
so we don't end it?
Speaker 4 (01:20:39):
Yeah. So it's like the biggest thing is like what's
your goal?
Speaker 3 (01:20:43):
Like where you need to be.
Speaker 4 (01:20:45):
It's like you're it's like you need to know where
you want to go because it's like you're shooting at
a target that's not there.
Speaker 1 (01:20:50):
I want to get one, just one.
Speaker 4 (01:20:54):
D oh my gosh, mom.
Speaker 1 (01:20:57):
Over like my god, you guys. I'm like, yeah, you're
so hot.
Speaker 4 (01:21:01):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (01:21:07):
I was asking too much.
Speaker 3 (01:21:11):
Okay, So have a target.
Speaker 4 (01:21:12):
Have a target that's I think that's where to start.
Speaker 3 (01:21:14):
Because a lot of this, you know, we've talked about
a lot of this is it's new territory for a
lot of people, so there's no blueprint on this So
we're just guiding ourselves, man, and sometimes it feels like
the blindly and the blind, but we're still leaving.
Speaker 4 (01:21:26):
We're still moving, of course.
Speaker 6 (01:21:28):
And then there's something called I always say that success
leaves clues. So it's like you can look at common
success stories and copycat. You know, in business it's good
to be a copycat. But like in school, we're talking
out to copy that's a bad thing, right, It's like
if you copy, for example, there's a McDonald's right here, bro,
(01:21:48):
if you go to any McDonald's is the same thing.
Speaker 4 (01:21:50):
Copycat business. Everywhere you go location that there's only there's
only billions. I don't know how.
Speaker 6 (01:22:03):
It's a it's a copycat copycat business. And another thing
is like collaboration is a currency.
Speaker 4 (01:22:09):
So like right now, you know you guys putting me
on this podcast, thank you by the way for having me.
It's gonna we know you almost died due almost getting here.
Speaker 6 (01:22:19):
My uber driver shout out to my overdriver, I'm glad
I'm still alive. I almost died getting here.
Speaker 4 (01:22:24):
He crashed.
Speaker 5 (01:22:25):
I was like killing them right now.
Speaker 2 (01:22:29):
Again, might be profen to sit down.
Speaker 3 (01:22:31):
Thought we had to bring you some crutches. Dude, it's
that bad.
Speaker 6 (01:22:34):
And but yeah, successfully it's closed and pretty much what
you one of the things that you want to do
is also you know, collaboration is a currency. So it's
like you want to find people to bring into the
podcast and it's going to help you, you know, get
to the next level, open up new doors for you guys.
Like I made a video about this on my Instagram,
(01:22:56):
my my regular page about best ho ploma. It's like,
how did this guy get so much success in a
short period of time. It's because he collaborated with like
everyone that was on the charts, you know, Becky g.
You know, you can name an artist in the Latin
charts and like he collaborated with them within a year
and he's still collaborating, you know, And dude, blew up
(01:23:18):
right away.
Speaker 3 (01:23:19):
So it's like, name one more person. I keep always
nam him when when you were talking about collaborating.
Speaker 1 (01:23:25):
Next next thing, I want to name one person.
Speaker 4 (01:23:29):
That guy guy.
Speaker 3 (01:23:33):
He started collaborating with people in different areas of music,
and I mean, yeah, I mean, for sure, collaboration. Collaboration
is key, especially now. I mean social media is huge, man,
all that we've seen it and it's like, just take
a look at maybe some other podcasts that you guys
want to you know, maybe they have the number one podcast.
Speaker 4 (01:23:52):
We take a look at it, it's like, what are
they there? You go, so it's like they have a
new a new uh guess, yeah, for sure, for sure,
for sure McDonald's.
Speaker 6 (01:24:04):
You know, it's like it's McDonald's, but you collaborate with
the Travis Scott Meal.
Speaker 4 (01:24:08):
I forgot. There's like a basketball player right now that
off the.
Speaker 3 (01:24:18):
One of the you could have Kaitlyn Kaylyn Clark the
best person.
Speaker 1 (01:24:22):
Hey, what what is what is her name?
Speaker 3 (01:24:24):
What is Angel? She plays for Chicago?
Speaker 1 (01:24:26):
You know, yeah, I know, I know, Okay, yeah, it
was the name of the team that the sky. Yes,
that girl played garbage.
Speaker 2 (01:24:34):
You know.
Speaker 5 (01:24:35):
She was the first one to step up against Kaitlyn Clark.
Speaker 3 (01:24:38):
She was putting her Have you seen her play?
Speaker 4 (01:24:42):
Dude?
Speaker 3 (01:24:42):
Pull up the last three on three game. It's one
of the worst game.
Speaker 4 (01:24:47):
I know.
Speaker 2 (01:24:47):
We interrupted his speech. He was giving a motivational speech,
you now, but yeah, she is garbage.
Speaker 3 (01:24:55):
Len Clark, Right, I don't know. People keep going, keep going.
It's a seminar, all right, it's my seminar. Yeah, motivation.
It's like what you were saying, it's a motivational speech.
A lot of people believe that, but it's actual like factual.
There's like opinions and then there's facts and numbers. So
it's like we got to look at facts and numbers,
(01:25:15):
like what works, what doesn't work? Like you guys are
gonna get opinions from you know, your parents, you know,
your friends, your family, a pastor, a leader that you
guys look up to, and it's like, does.
Speaker 6 (01:25:27):
That opinion help me reach my goal with my podcast?
But it's like no, we need we need to look
at numbers and factual information that's going to help us
get our our podcasts to the next level. So yeah,
that's something I definitely uh consider, you know, you know,
talk to other people that have podcasts that are blown up,
you know what what are they doing and just copy it?
Speaker 3 (01:25:48):
Not what's nothing wrong with it? Yeah, yeah, this is
my this is my thinking. Yeah, I'm just I'm just absorm.
There's no ent t post dude, there's like, uh.
Speaker 4 (01:26:05):
You guys got the same hairline, Dude, there's some dude
in the sauna. Like it was alone.
Speaker 6 (01:26:10):
One time I walked into the sauna at the gym
and like it was the only dude in the sauna
and he was like sitting there in that post was
just reminiscent.
Speaker 4 (01:26:20):
His little brother or something. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:26:23):
We'll bree here.
Speaker 5 (01:26:25):
That's right next to you too, man.
Speaker 2 (01:26:29):
Can you can you keep help us with something?
Speaker 4 (01:26:31):
Sir? Hopefully? Can can you?
Speaker 3 (01:26:34):
Can you?
Speaker 1 (01:26:34):
Can you be behind you and the J booth man?
Speaker 4 (01:26:37):
Maybe guys groopies you guys got a d M me first, Bro,
you want to have a bottle that? Yeah? Yeah, that's it,
that's it.
Speaker 3 (01:26:47):
Can you put me on you know the d J.
I'm like, yeah, everything, you know, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:26:55):
Let me down.
Speaker 3 (01:26:57):
You have you have a great mindset, dude, I love it. Man,
But have you you should have had any failures that
they you talk about this? You know what I failed
in this man, and I just put me in in
a bad situation or a bad spot, Like do you
have one? E yalers? Sure?
Speaker 4 (01:27:11):
Yeah, of course. Like in business that's the other thing,
like they don't teach us in school. Like in school
we're taught.
Speaker 6 (01:27:19):
You know, you got to get a plus if now
you fucking suck you know. In business it's like all right,
you fail? What did you do wrong, what do we
need to correct and then what do we need to
apply so we don't fail again. That's a little bit
different from uh, like what we're taught in school a lot.
So it's just learning, you know, how to fail forward.
(01:27:40):
So yeah, I mean I've had I've had I've had
failures in business, you know, there's there's like especially like
for example, let's talk about promoting. Yeah, there are shows
that you know, we wouldn't make profit, but it was
like it was building, building us for the next show.
It was marketing, you know, it was you know, getting
this artist to the next level to say this this art.
Like for example, Boogie T, Yeah, that was his first
(01:28:02):
sold out show in his in his career, right right right,
that's crazy, you know.
Speaker 4 (01:28:06):
Yeah, So now T is like, yo, go play for
X y Z company.
Speaker 6 (01:28:11):
Let's just say we didn't make money that that day,
we didn't go into profit. But now Boogie T is
talking to this other artist like, yo, go play for them,
and then just keeps the ball rolling and going and growing.
But there's a you know Isaac Newton's love of emotion.
What's emotion stays in emotion? What's the rest stays the rest.
So it's like we just got to be constantly moving
(01:28:34):
in the right direction. And you know, I think you
were talking about not being idle. Yeah, if you're idle,
it's not really going to move us anywhere. So constantly
moving towards our goals, it's like the universal Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:28:44):
No, I agree with that. I agree with that because
I mean even with our promotion doing our comedy. Yeah,
we started with not even the idea we had now.
Speaker 4 (01:28:55):
You know we we had.
Speaker 3 (01:28:56):
We just did stand up like, oh, let's talk about
some dark comedy and that was like the first part
of what what Demonon was and like, all right, it
didn't really work out. We brought in a couple of
people at what.
Speaker 4 (01:29:05):
Was the first club.
Speaker 3 (01:29:06):
We went to the Red Room, Red Room up North
by Emiston.
Speaker 4 (01:29:10):
Cool.
Speaker 3 (01:29:12):
No, we probably brought in like fifteen people awesome for
the first show.
Speaker 2 (01:29:15):
No more, but you get you guys started yeah exactly, No, no,
we had like twenty some people.
Speaker 4 (01:29:22):
Red project my poject, I'm sorry sorry, start it.
Speaker 1 (01:29:27):
Was just a name demon Our comedy.
Speaker 2 (01:29:28):
And then from there we got the concept where you know,
we're obviously you know, we come from a Catholic background,
so the d of Confessions came up and we were like,
what do we invoked something like that? Because Demon Hour,
we were like, you know, it's Deemon time, right, so
it's at the three am hour, like with those crazy
dots popped through your head, right, and you're like, what
if people wrote that ship down in the comics reddit.
Speaker 3 (01:29:51):
With the mixture of we knew on social media, especially TikTok,
that short form content were just blowing up.
Speaker 1 (01:29:57):
Yeah, it was blown up.
Speaker 2 (01:29:59):
And the first show we did was just called demon
O Our Comedy, and then the second one was where
we actually implemented the concept to the show and it
became what it is now, you know, and even then
as as involved since that moment to now, you know,
there's always ideas that we're trying to implement, implement and
within the show to make a little bit more entertaining
for people. But but yeah, just like anything else, you know,
(01:30:22):
we put in the effort and we've been able to
grow the show to where it is now.
Speaker 3 (01:30:26):
Three year journey with so far demon Our to some
to something yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, because we're we're
fortunate enough to keep working with the concept with our
old venue at Manrie Mariellas and what's that what's the
city called? What's the town called? I heard of that place, Maria. Yes,
they do a whole bunch of Mexican like bond Us
(01:30:47):
and stuff like that. Keep put Mariella's I forgot was
R E L A. I think, Yeah, I've got the
towns called I R E.
Speaker 2 (01:30:59):
H.
Speaker 4 (01:31:00):
Yes, it's in well, yeah, is probably there on the
right about No, it's not that, it's not. That's not
the place. That is the place is the place. That's
not the place the place. Yeah, go back, chef.
Speaker 3 (01:31:19):
Is No, I just put my I don't think it's
matter of seven.
Speaker 4 (01:31:24):
I know what you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (01:31:25):
Any Anyways, I forgot the town called Stone Park.
Speaker 4 (01:31:31):
It's probably Maria less On, the bo from that town.
Speaker 2 (01:31:38):
No, no, yeah, to take up mary Ella's Yeah. Gervonti Green.
Speaker 4 (01:31:44):
Green Yeah, promotion, Yeah, oh.
Speaker 3 (01:31:50):
No, not him? What his name?
Speaker 4 (01:31:52):
Got the bulls the guy I don't even have my phone.
Speaker 1 (01:31:55):
Look the bull roster.
Speaker 4 (01:31:57):
It's Dravante.
Speaker 1 (01:31:58):
That's the fucking forgot his last name.
Speaker 3 (01:32:02):
Scroll to the right.
Speaker 2 (01:32:03):
He doesn't play. He's on the bench right there. Javon
Carter Sorry, and then go to his Wikipedia and then.
Speaker 3 (01:32:15):
Yeah, a big shout out to to the to the
guys in mayweard because they're the ones that they gave
us about six months of time to really play our concept. Man,
it's giving us a freedom to do everything.
Speaker 4 (01:32:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:32:29):
No, honestly I.
Speaker 2 (01:32:33):
Recommend that plays because they gave us full control of
the show. They let us set up everything exactly how.
Speaker 3 (01:32:39):
We paid us anything in comedy, getting paid such a
rare thing they paid us, you know, and good faith.
Speaker 4 (01:32:47):
Great.
Speaker 2 (01:32:47):
I mean, if the opportunity ever comes to team up
and in some way, I would be totally open.
Speaker 3 (01:32:53):
Yeah, but we got people great people to them that
they give an opportunity to playing around the concept for
six months. And then we went back to uh Lincoln
Lodge try it again, and they gave was a residency
and and I mean now we actually got upgraded literally
in January. For February we moved from the seven pm
(01:33:14):
slot to the nine pm slot. So're like tectically prime
time though.
Speaker 4 (01:33:18):
You know, but.
Speaker 3 (01:33:21):
We beat DJA groupie.
Speaker 4 (01:33:24):
Come to show, did d do the show Man?
Speaker 2 (01:33:30):
Which we'll get your VP PC right in front. Nobody
wants to nobody.
Speaker 3 (01:33:37):
Everybody hates the front. When it comes down to comedy,
people just start roasting people nowadays, right, I always think, like, really.
Speaker 1 (01:33:43):
It depends on the comic.
Speaker 3 (01:33:44):
Yeah, some people are good at it, some people are average.
Speaker 1 (01:33:48):
It all depends.
Speaker 3 (01:33:48):
It all depends that.
Speaker 6 (01:33:49):
I always found like comics very talented, that they make
their time slot very funny when they don't have to
make fun of anyone like just roasted. I always find
I always found that very talented guy.
Speaker 1 (01:34:03):
This guy we're here man.
Speaker 2 (01:34:04):
Some say he might make an appearance at demon Our
