Speaker 1 (00:06):
Hello, everyone, I thank you so much for joining me
for Daily Spark with Doctor Angela. I'm your host, Doctor Angelo,
but Schester. You guys know who I am, and you
know what I'd like to do on my show. Say
it with me. I want to enlighten, inspire, and empower
you to become your best self. No scripture reminds us
that the tongue is a small thing that makes grand
(00:29):
the speeches, but a tiny spark can set a great
forest on a fire. And that's what we want to
do today. We want to get you fired up about
our topic. We'll be talking about faith over fear. Every
time there is victory in our voice. So you know
what I'm gonna take you to deal. Go out and
(00:50):
get comfy, get cozy, get your coffee or get your tea,
because we are about to get started. Hello, Hello, Hello,
Thank you everyone for spending some time with me here today.
I hope that you are having a great day no
matter where you are listening from in the world, I
(01:12):
hope that there are pleasantries about your day.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
With that being said, you know that we are a
faith based talk show, so we are always going to
trust and believe that the Lord is on our side.
That means that we're going to have a great day.
So again, thank you for joining me here today. Now,
this episode is not just about encouragement, it's also about empowerment.
(01:42):
We are declaring faith over fear every time starting today now,
because even in the fire, God is still with you.
Sometimes we need to be reminded, though we really lies
that in theory. Sometimes we have to make sure that
(02:04):
messages go from our heart to our head, and especially
from our head to our heart. So no matter what
you're up against, he hasn't changed his mind about your victory.
God's promise is in the mix, no matter what you do,
(02:27):
no matter where you are. God's promise is something that
we can lean on. We can depend on it, we
should be assured by it. Fear has a tendency to
show up when the future feels uncertain, but faith, faith
(02:48):
reminds you that your story is already in the hands
of a God who has never lost a battle. Isaiah
forty ten says it this way, So do not fear,
for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for
(03:09):
I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. This
is not the time to give up. This is the
time to look up. When fear says what if all
of this falls apart, faith says, even then I will rise.
(03:37):
So how do you make sure you keep that mindset?
You declare it every day over yourself. You remind yourself
of what's going to happen that day, and that day
is going to be a good day. So sure, look
in the mirror, stare yourself squarely in the face, eyeball
(04:00):
to eyeball, and say I am not alone in this
because God is on your side. Do it again. I
want you to stand tall, shoulder square, look yourself in
the eye in the mirror, and say, God is my strength,
even if I feel weak. That's right. We are declaring
(04:24):
the victory to day. That's it. Feet flat on the
floor one more time, squared up, look yourself in the
eye and say, victory isn't a feeling, it's a fact
in my life. That's right. Let's give a who hoh
for Jesus. Yes, because you know what it's really about
(04:48):
our mindset, isn't it now. I know some of you
are saying, doctor Indela, there's no way I'm gonna hype
myself up like that every day. I know, I know,
but just know this, somebody else is somebody else is
making sure that they are hyped in the Lord. Every
day that they walk out of their home. They are
(05:12):
hyped and ready to go with the confidence that only
God can give us because they know what they can
and will do that day. If you don't hype yourself
up for the awesome and amazing things that God can,
will and shall do in your life, some person is
(05:34):
going to ask you to hype them up about theirs.
So remember that it's okay to allow God to show
you the way. Now, in everything I do, I try
to always look for the most positive perspective possible. I
(05:57):
just do. And I've always been that way. You know,
it doesn't mean that I'm denying that there's a problem
or there's an issue. Absolutely not. You can see it,
it's right there. But if I take a positive perspective,
if I choose to remember that I have the victory
(06:18):
through Christ in any situation, then it allows me to
walk through whatever I'm going through with a different mindset,
with a different cadence in my walk. If you will, Now,
it's kind of like when you're watching a sport and
your team is winning, you feel a certain way, don't you.
(06:38):
You feel confident, you feel strong, You want to, you know,
just be out there doing your things, singing a song,
little bounce in your step because it's like, yeah, my
team won. Huh, we're victorious. I have a great mind
because that's my team. I picked them. But then, flip
side of the coin, if your team isn't doing so well,
(07:00):
you do it. Your body's all tight, you're tense, you're
yelling at the poor television. What do you guys do
and get it together? Don't do that. Don't be that way.
You know the things you yell at the television, right,
and you're feeling a little less confident about your team
choice because your team isn't doing so well well, the
(07:22):
same can be true in your life about the things
that you choose to do because you're choosing to be
on a winning team. When you realize that your life
is a series of wins in various degrees, then you
realize that every day has the potential to be an
(07:46):
even better day than the day before. So what do
we do? We look at faith as a stance and
not a mood. Faith is is not always emotional faith
is spiritual faith. Does it mean that you won't feel
(08:09):
any fear? It means that you don't have to let
fear lead you. You don't have to allow the negative thoughts,
the things that you hear when you're talking to yourself,
you don't let to You don't have to let that perspective.
When two Timothy one to seven, King James version this
(08:34):
time says it this way, for God hath not given
us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of
love and of a sound mine. Yep, I can read
the King James version two. Shout out to all my
(08:55):
old school kind of folks. That's the way they learned it,
and we want to include them in the scriptures as well.
I love that God has not given us a spirit
of fear. That's the first part of that right. God
hasn't given it. So if God hasn't given it to you,
(09:19):
what are you doing walking around holding on to it?
Let it go? Put that down. God has that given
us a spirit of fear? Fact number one? Come on,
fact number two. But of power? Ooh, let's pause there.
(09:39):
You have the power to make the change, to be
the change, to help others make be and do the
things that allow for change because you have the power
to do so. Okay, what else do we have? And
of love? Ah, love, we are reminded in scripture so
(10:05):
many times, and summing it up this way, using scripture,
and the greatest of these is love in all that
we do, in all that we see. We can see
love in others. We should be able to see love
in the things that we do and say to others.
(10:28):
But we should also be able to see and hear
the love that we have for our selves. Let's not
exclude us in the conversations that we have. And looking
at the last part of that scripture and of a
sound mine, Now that's really important because that's a question
(10:51):
that's asked in our legal system. Right is this person
of sound mind? So not only is it biblical, but
it has rolled over into our day to day lives
as well. And you want to be of sound mind?
And how do we know that we can have a
sound mind? Using scripture to answer scripture, because we have
(11:15):
the mind of Christ. So if we have the mind
of Christ, that means that we surely have a sound mind,
because so did he. So when you look at the
stance that you take in your faith and how you
(11:37):
can walk it out in your day to day living.
Oh yeah, this is how you can have shoulders, square
chest out, chin up and walk in the confidence that
God has given us. So let me say it again,
in fact, say it with me. We have power, we
(12:00):
have love, and we have a sound mind. That's your identity, Sparkers.
Even when the storm is loud, your soul can stay grounded.
Even when chaos and the noise about you feels so unsure,
(12:22):
you can still stay grounded. I love that God affords
this to us, that no matter what's going on in
our physical world, there is a grounding that He gives
us spiritually which allows us to calm our human heart.
(12:43):
So what has fear tried to stop you from doing lately?
Take a moment to think about that. And now that
you know that fear has no place in your life,
what are you going to do about it? What does
faith look like for me today in action? A question
(13:08):
you can ask yourself, and what are you going to
do about it? How can I choose faith in my tone,
in my choices, in my prayers? A question for you
to ask yourself, and what are you going to do
(13:31):
about it? Well? Everyone, it's time for us to take
a very short break. But don't you worry, we'll be
right back. We'll be back right after this.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Have the past few weeks or months been challenging, Yes,
for all of us. We've been thrown into circumstances which
we could never have imagined. Lots of jobs, working from home,
general uncertainty. It's causing us to be a little on edge.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
And we are back. Thank you so much for joining
me for Daily Sparker Doctor Angela. I'm your host to
Doctor Angela Budge Jester. Today we are talking about faith
over fear every time. Let's jump back into the conversation. So,
when the battle feels too big, what do you do?
(14:51):
How do you handle that? How do you continue to
go about your day when you just feel overwhelmed? Where
you feel awfully small in comparison to the big thing
in front of you. Many times, when we think of this,
we are reminded of the story of David and Goliath.
(15:13):
We're reminded that David, though he looked extremely tiny, he
was regular human size It's just that Goliath was just
a giant, and far too often we find ourselves allowing
our human stature to be dwarfed by the giant pieces
(15:40):
of chaos and distraction in our physical world. It is
time that we choose instead to pick up our slingshot
and handle the business of our lives. So let me
encourage you by saying that, yes, maybe you're waiting on
(16:03):
a diagnosis, you're fighting for your marriage, you're praying over
a child, or you're facing a financial cliff. Let me
tell you the moment did not catch God off guard.
Maybe it did you, but God is simply waiting for
(16:26):
you to give it to him to handle. Exodus fourteen
fourteen says, the Lord will fight for you. You need
only to be still. Have you done all that you
can do? Have you taken care of what you can
(16:46):
humanly possibly have done? Great? Then you have done all
you can do. It is now time to hand the
baton to the one who will win the our God,
the Lord will fight for you. You only need to
(17:09):
be still. Victory isn't about your strength, It's about your
stance and stillness in God. It is not a weakness.
It's warfare. I want to remind you of this. This way,
(17:30):
you do not have to prove yourself brave. You just
have to stay positioned in belief. God has never failed you.
He won't start now.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Now.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
I understand there are some of you that are saying,
but doctor Angela, I prayed for this, that, and the other,
and God didn't give that to me. I have to say, Okay,
but what did he give you? Maybe you prayed for this,
that and the other and none of those things were
(18:09):
what you were supposed to have. Or maybe He did
give you this, that and the other, it just simply
didn't look like what you thought it would. A really
great example of this is when a loved one passes away.
Far too many times we believe that our loved one
(18:33):
hasn't been healed because they've passed away. But if you
look at it from a different perspective, what you wanted
was no more pain, no more suffering. You wanted them
to be able to be in their best well. As believers,
we believe let out of the body closer to God.
(18:58):
Therefore our loved ones are in the best place, healed
and with the Lord. So it might not look the
way we wanted it to, and Don't get me wrong,
I've lost some loved ones that I really wish were
still with me. But at the same time I do understand.
(19:25):
Sure sometimes it has taken a while to get over,
to move past it, and to understand some took longer
than others. But today I'm in a place where I
can understand that it didn't look the way I wanted
it to look, but it's what was best. So in
(19:48):
that understanding, in that new place of trusting God, it
allows me to be able to help someone else trust God.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
You.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
So perhaps you need to firm your stance and be
able to say out loud the battle is not mine,
the battle belongs to the Lord, or maybe yours is
more so, even in uncertainty, I trust his certainty. I
(20:29):
know sometimes we need to look at it from a
different perspective. How about this one. I will not be moved.
We have to learn to find our posture in God
and to be able to stand strong in all that
(20:50):
we do. So I encourage you today to start speaking
victory over your life. You have power in your tongue,
the things that you say, the way that you say it,
and how you speak it over those that you love
(21:13):
and yourself is so important. Let's speak life right now
wherever you go. I want you to be aware of
how you speak. I want you to take a deep
breath right now, plant your feet, open your heart, and
(21:36):
speak this with boldness with me. I choose faith over fear.
I am covered, I am kept, I am called, I
am not alone. I walk in victory because the spear
(22:00):
of the Living God is within me. Let's do it
one more time. You're ready. Here we go. I choose
faith over fear. I am covered, I am kept, I
am called, I am not alone. I walk in victory
because the spirit of the Living God is within me. Amen.
(22:26):
Romans eight thirty one says it like this. If God
is for us, who can be against us? So let
me remind you right here today, there's a believer near you.
There's someone that you can call on that's gonna stand
(22:47):
with you, that's gonna help you through this situation. Just
ask if you feel that you can't do it alone,
know that you can still walk by faith and not
by sight, even if your faith is small. But Scripture
reminds us all we need is the faith of a
(23:10):
mustard seed. Now, if you don't know how tiny a
mustard seed is I want you to think of very tiny,
kind of like those sesame seeds that are on your
hamburger bun. Now make it a little bit smaller. I know,
it's amazing you have to google that because it is
so incredibly tiny. That is all you need. So there's
(23:36):
no fear that can cancel the favor of God on
your life. And isn't it nice to know that God
has been thinking about us in all that we do
and how we do it. We know that we have
a father that loves us, that's looking after us. And
(24:00):
if we only take our time and truly listen and
read and find out what are our basic instructions before
leaving earth, then we know what we can do. And
it's an awesome and mighty plan. It really is one
(24:24):
that when you put it into action, you find that
you don't know how you ever did anything before. It
gives you such clarity, it gives you such an energy boost,
and it is a wonderful place to be. So when
the pressure starts to rise, I want you to remember
(24:48):
your purpose. When fear knocks at your door, I want
you to make sure that faith answers it, and when
doubt whispers in your ear. I want you to make
sure that the word of God speaks louder. Jos Joshua
(25:11):
one Nie n Ivy says it this way. Have I
not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid,
Do not be discouraged. For the Lord your God will
be with you wherever you go. Be strong and courageous.
(25:37):
Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged, For the
Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Lord,
we thank you for every listener that is here today.
(25:59):
We thank you for reminding them that you go with
them in each and every place. You are with them,
in every car, walking through every door, walking down every hall,
in every seat that they sit in. You are with them,
(26:21):
no matter if they know it or not, through the
battles that they are going through today. Lord, we pray
that you will help them see that you are there
with them, that they will know that they have the
victory in Christ Jesus, and know matter what they are
(26:44):
reminded that as they go, Holy Spirit goes with them. Lord,
Wrap them in your peace, wrap them in your presence,
and let them know that your power and your peace
go before them. Let your word be louder than their
(27:04):
worry and let them know that you are always there, am'am.
Thank you everyone for spending some time with me here
today on Daily Sparkle Doctor Angela. I hope that I
have once again enlightened, inspired, and empowered you to become
(27:28):
your best self as always. May the Lord continue to
shine his face upon you. May you receive his grace
and his mercy in all that you do. Until next time,
everyone remember that you you are blessed in the Lord.
Have a great dare everyone. Bye bye,
