Speaker 1 (00:05):
Hello everyone, and thank you so much for joining me
for Daily Spark but Doctor Angela. I'm your host, Doctor
Angela butts Chester. You guys know who I am, and
you know what I'd like to do on my show.
Say it with me. I want to enlighten, inspire and
empower you to become your best self. Now. Scripture reminds
us that the tongue is a small thing that makes

(00:28):
grand speeches, but a tiny spark can set a great
forest on a fire. And that's what we want to
do today. We want to get you fired up about
the topic we'll be talking today about the power of
a start. Why momentum begins with movement. So you know
we're gonna tell you to do go and get comfy,

(00:50):
get cozy, get your coffee or get your tea because
we are about to get started. Hello everyone, and thank
you so much for joining me for Daily Spark with
Doctor Angela. I am really excited to bring this topic
to you today because one of the things that I
find is that people either have a problem starting or

(01:16):
they have a concern, a problem, an issue with keeping
the momentum through forward movement. So let's talk about that
very thing today. We are going to bring to light
and inspire so many today I want to ignite you

(01:38):
to step into your purpose, to step into that thing
that you have been called to do. So today I
want to encourage you to start walking your walk, not
just talking the talk, and to be a part of
your own life. Waiting for a sign, waiting for the

(02:01):
right time, waiting until you feel more, ready, more qualified,
more something. Too many people are waiting when what you
should be doing is moving forward. But what if the
breakthrough that you're waiting for isn't in the waiting. I

(02:21):
know it isn't in the waiting. What if it's in
the start. And that's where we are going to find
ourselves today. Today's episode, the power of a start, Why
momentum begins with movement, is about the small beginnings, about

(02:42):
the sacred starts, and why Heaven often responds not to
our perfection but to our permission. So go ahead, grab
your tee, get your journal, and your comfy socks, because
we're settling today and we are going to have a

(03:03):
great episode. So wherever this space takes you today, I
want you to feel comfortable in it. So let's get
talking the truth about waiting for the right time. Now,

(03:23):
I know you've heard people say that being patient is important,
make sure that you stay calm and press on. But
let's be realistic. Far too many people are living in
a state of chaos and or anxiety about the things

(03:45):
that they are supposed to do with their lives. There
were no written instructions for them to follow. There's perhaps
no mentor to give you the insights to what to expect,
and so goes life. Many times, the career path that
we've been called to, there isn't anyone directly connected to

(04:08):
us that does what we want to do. And if
that's the case, then yeah, the instruction, the direction may
seem a little tough. Many times people will say, well,
I received some form of instruction while in college or
at university, and I believe that most people will say

(04:32):
that it was in fact helpful. But there's nothing like
that real, in person, real life information. So you know,
I've spoken to so many brilliant, capable people, leaders, creators, parents,

(04:53):
entrepreneurs who are all carrying powerful ideas in their heart.
They have dreams, they have whispered their hopes, aspirations and
assumptions in their prayers visions. They have come clear to
them many times, and other times they've come in somewhat blurried,

(05:18):
but still they've stood strong in understanding that if a
vision comes, that means that the breakthrough will follow businesses.
They've outlined businesses, they've mapped out books, and they have
been called to birth ministries. But when I ask what's

(05:42):
stopping them, the answer is, quite often, I'm just waiting
for the right time. Now, this could be true in
anything that you are doing personally, buy a house, getting
a new car, choosing to do something within your home,

(06:03):
add on a room, paint a room, get new carpet,
buy new furniture. Maybe it's something dealing with your children,
move closer, move out, move in. Maybe it's something dealing
directly with your career. Ask for the promotion, do a

(06:24):
lateral move to a different department, but it'll bring you
more happiness. Whatever it is, there's a something that you
are hesitating about. I'm just waiting for the right time.
But let me challenge you in that today. What if

(06:47):
the right time doesn't show up until you do? What
if the right time doesn't show up until you do.
We've all been there at some stage or phase in
our lives or in our careers, we've had a moment

(07:08):
where we've taken a longer pause than perhaps we should have.
What if the right now, the right time, the let's
go moment doesn't show up until you do. That means
that the right time doesn't become until you move into action.

(07:33):
We want you to be your best, at least all
of us here that are a part of daily Spark
with doctor Angela. We want for you to be your
best possible self, and yes, that means starting today and
with you. You want the full map before you take

(07:57):
the trip, but you might not have all of it.
You want confirmation from twelve people before you call it obedience.
You want conditions to be perfect before you begin. But
far too often God doesn't give us the full blueprint upfront.

(08:20):
He gives us a nudge. He gives us the vision
of the next step and the end. Far too often
we have all been at a various stage of revelation,

(08:40):
and you know the difference between the people who succeed
and those who don't action. You have to walk by
faith and not by sight. No matter what it is
that you have been called or purposed to do, you
must believe that if you have been called, have you

(09:02):
been purposed, if you've been chosen to do that particular thing,
then God will make a way for it to happen.
Hebrews eleven eight says it elect this by faith. Abraham
obeyed when he was called, and he went out not

(09:22):
knowing where he was going. That really is a leap
of faith. That really is walking by faith and not
by say. It's the not knowing, it's the going. That's

(09:42):
where momentum is born, not in the knowing, but in
the going. You know, small starts can lead to big shifts. Now,
let's bring it down to real life, because that's where

(10:03):
we actually live. Right. I don't want to ever encourage
you so much that you feel as though it's fluff,
it's just a bunch of fu fu. Absolutely not. I
want to encourage you, I want to inspire you, but
I also want to give you practical tips. So let's

(10:25):
turn the page and take a look. Starting doesn't always
look like a big announcement or even a virtual launch.
Sometimes it looks like setting the alarm and getting out
of bed with purpose. That's it, no more, no less,

(10:49):
getting out of bed with determination that today is going
to be as good, if not better than yesterday getting
out of bed with the understanding that you are the
only you there is in the world. Even if you

(11:10):
are a twin, there's something different about you. There's something
that makes you slightly different than your twin. So if
that is true, you are going to do something today
that makes your purpose slightly different than anyone else. Sometimes

(11:38):
it's pulling the notebook out of the drawer and writing
down the idea. Sometimes it's making the video. It's doing
the social media post, it's sending the letter, it's driving
the distance, it's walking the area, what ever it is

(12:01):
that you have to do that is specific to your industry.
Sometimes it's texting a friend and saying, Hey, I think
it's time that I finally do this. You know that
one friend that's gonna say, oh MG, I am so
glad you're finally doing this. I was wondering when you

(12:22):
were going to do it. I was wondering when you
were going to be a man or a woman of
your word. We all have that one friend that just
loves us so much that they encourage us with just
a sprinkling of tough love. And we need that friend.

(12:45):
We need the person that's going to help us be accountable. Now,
I'm of the thought that you don't have to be
rude to encourage others. You don't have to beat people
up verbally to each others. But you can be consistent.
You can inquire and help them gently be exactly who

(13:11):
they need to be. And every now and again you
do need to have that fireworks moment where you're like, hey,
I think you need to pay attention to what's going on.
Now is your time, So don't underestimate the anointing that

(13:38):
is on your small start. If we think about it,
and it's not talked about very much anymore because it's
kind of maybe old hat, it's old information, like everyone
should know by now, But let me put this into

(13:59):
your remembrance just in case it isn't. The very big
major brands that we all know and love, a large
majority of them, all started in the garage, you know,
in mom's basement, in the garage, in the backyard, in

(14:21):
their bathroom, in their spare bedroom, in their living room.
You get what I'm saying. They started where they were
with what they had and those products, those services. We
now utilize them around the world. They've become household names.

(14:46):
What if I know we probably wouldn't have a lot
of the things that we love and utilize today. It
is so nice people understand the role that they play
in the greatest good of all things that go on. See,

(15:09):
the enemy isn't intimidated by your dreams. He's intimidated by
your decisions. Because once you decide to move, things shift
in the spirit. Once you decide that you are going
to be the person who is the helper of the

(15:32):
person with the dream, things are going to shift for
you as well. You will be blessed for helping the
other person be a blessing. Far too many times we
forget that some folks are the face of what they do,

(15:53):
but if it wasn't for the people behind the scenes,
it wouldn't have been what it was. You know, we
look at radio or television, or even when we're just
doing video. It's the behind the scenes stuff that interests

(16:13):
people because they want to know, how did you make
that happen. We've seen those videos, for example on social media,
where you see the end result. Second, the first video
you see is of a different perspective, Like you see
a person across the street and they're dancing and doing

(16:34):
their thing, and it looks a little wonky from where
you are right and you're going, wow, I'd really like
to see that video when it's done, And then the
algorithm gives you your wish and you see it and
guess what. The video is amazing. But it didn't look

(16:54):
amazing on the outside. But the person who was doing
it had the vision and they knew that even if
they looked crazy to those passing by going down the street,
who would observe them. They knew that it was bigger
than just the observation, but that the delivery of the

(17:16):
product would be amazing. And that's where we have to decide.
How can we support, how can we be? How can
we do? All? Righty, everyone, it is time for us
to take a very short break. But don't you worry.
We'll be back right after this. And we are back.

(17:45):
Thank you so much for joining me for Daily Spark
with Doctor Angela. I'm your host, Doctor Antela. But justin
let's jump back into this conversation. See, we have to
decide to move because once you act, grace is activated.
Once you obey, Heaven responds. So let's talk practical again.

(18:12):
Start simple, Start with five minutes of doing what you're
supposed to do. Increase it as much and as often
as you can. Five minutes of prayer, five minutes of
positive self talk, five minutes of affirmation, five minutes of
sitting quietly, five minutes of walking, meditation, whatever it is

(18:33):
that you have to do. Five minutes of envisioning your product,
five minutes of envisioning your empire, whatever it is. Start
if you can't do five minutes and that's too long, initially,
guess what. Start with a minute. Start with the minute.

(18:56):
Increase it to five, Increase it to seven, Increase it
to ten, Increase it to twelve, Increase it to fifteen,
Increase it to twenty. Now you're into thirty minutes. You've
done thirty minutes. Yeah, time for a big jump, because
now if you can do thirty minutes, you can easily
do forty five. So now we're going to do it

(19:16):
for an hour. You need to envision. You're going to
start envisioning and believing and feeling and getting in touch
and getting in tune with what it is that you
have been called to do. So now before you go
to bed, and you've said your prayer and you have
thanked God for giving you this gift, and or talent.

(19:37):
Now you're going to think about it before you get
to sleep. You're going to go to sleep dreaming about
that and seeing what the Lord has given to you.
You're going to wake up and you're going to be
thankful for the breath that is in your lungs, for
the gift of your life. And then along your day

(19:58):
you are going to pause think about the beauty of
the vision that you have been given. Now that can
mean five minutes of organizing your desk as well, how
do you think your future self would sit at your desk?
Make it happen. Five minutes of researching if there's a

(20:19):
class or if there's a training or something that you
think that you should partake in before making any final decisions.
Do it. Five minutes of praying specifically over the thing
that you've been brushing off. Shift the paradigm, change your mindset.

(20:40):
Because small starts creating big rhythms, and big rhythms, yes,
they lead to transformation. Zachariah four ten reminds us this way,
do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices

(21:00):
to see the work began. So let's go get started.
Make it happen. Because you heard that right. God rejoices
to see the work began, not the work perfected, not
the work praise, put the work begon, make it happen. Now,

(21:29):
let me encourage you to move, but do not mumble.
Move but do not grumble. Move but do not complain.
Move but do not compare. Move but do not criticize, criticize, criticize, criticize.

(21:50):
Be careful of what comes out of your mouth. Be
careful of what you speak over other people. A really
great example of this is, so, how's your little business going?
So how's that little book you're writing? So how's that

(22:10):
small endeavor you decided to do? Are you still doing
that little thing out of your garage? Are you still
looking at doing whatever it was? When you know what
it is? Whatever it was that you were gonna do
that thing, how's that thing? Be careful of the disrespect

(22:30):
that you speak over someone and the thing that they
are trying to do, the something that they have been given,
if God gave it to them, You should watch your mouth.
We want to be encouraging people, not discouraging people. So

(22:51):
we know that we have power in those things that
we speak, then we want to make sure that we
are speaking light and life, that we are speaking grace
and beauty, that we are speaking positive transformation. See, this
is the part where we need to get honest. Some

(23:14):
of us aren't stuck because of fear. We're stuck because
of habitual hesitation. We're stuck because the language that we
use is negative. We've talked about it, we've journaled about it,
you can even dream bored about it, and we've even

(23:36):
posted some quotes about it. But if you haven't moved,
if you haven't shifted into the positive space, then that's
what's keeping you back. There comes a point where you
have to stop explaining why you haven't started and just start.

(23:56):
Don't talk yourself out of what God has already talked
you into. Don't talk yourself out of what God has
already spoken over and for you. Move. Don't mumbo speak

(24:17):
it surely, positively, affirming, confirming move. This is where you
shake off the fear of judgment. This is where you
decide that you're gonna do it, but you're not doing
it for likes. You're gonna do it because you were
called to such a time as this. This is where

(24:42):
the silence of your voice is not about comparison, but
it is about contemplation of your next move. You're not late,
You're right on time for your timeline. Listen, the path
isn't always clear. I think anyone who's successful can tell

(25:05):
you there have been moments where you had to pause
to figure out where the path go. Am I still
on it? Let's make sure we're journeying down the right
road and there are some detours, because after all, this
is life. But even in the detour, when we follow

(25:30):
the signs, it will get us back on course. And
then there may be some criticisms, and we can always
depend on our friends and family for criticisms. I know,
I know, but it's true because they love us, so
they're going to criticize us. We might even find that

(25:54):
we get more support from strangers then we do our
friends and family, and guess what, that's a part of life.
I know you've seen those social media posts as well,
where people say, I can't believe you tell these celebrities
happy birthday, or how excited you are to order their product,
but your friend opens a business and you're asking them

(26:17):
for a discount, or you won't buy their stuff because
I don't know, write something negative there. We've seen it
all over. So with that being said, learn to take
the criticisms with a grain of salt, listen to the
part that is true and useful, and discard the rest.

(26:40):
There might even be some failures, my friend, and that's okay,
because a failure is a way of learning what not
to do. But starting creates this momentum, and momentum builds
your confidence, and confidence reinforces your calling. So if you

(27:05):
hear nothing else, please hear this today. You don't need
anyone's permission to walk in your purpose. God has already
approved your plan. So movement creates momentum, and momentum opens

(27:25):
the door. Alrighty, everyone, thank you so much for spending
time with me here today. I hope that I have enlightened, inspired,
and empowered you again today as always, may the Lord
continue to shine his face upon you. May you receive
his grace and his mercy in all that you do.
Until next time, everyone remember that you are blessed in

(27:50):
the Lord. Have a great day everyone. Bye.
