Disasters remind us of our shared humanity, and the fires in California are a stark example of this. Dan encourages all his listeners to visit redcross.org and contribute to the relief efforts for Los Angeles. While we may not always be able to rely on politicians to step up, we can take action together to support those in need.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is Dan Riley for Passionate World Internet Radio. Sometimes
sports really isn't that important, and sometimes politics is the
last thing that should be on our minds. Such is

(00:21):
the case with the fires out in Los Angeles. Amidst
conservative's ridiculous complaints of businesses having DEI departments and liberals
mindlessly attacking comedians, we faced the frankly frightening image of

(00:46):
the fires out in Los Angeles when we turn on
the news at night. Per reports, there are twenty five
deaths with over ten thousand buildings burnt to the ground.
Sports should not be relevant right now, and quite frankly,

(01:10):
politics should be set aside here too. We have to
find some kind of a common humanity in these images.
People have lost their homes, their jobs, their entire life.

(01:36):
People of every social class imaginable out in Los Angeles
have no place to live right now, and there's even
reports of power outages. It's with these images in mind

(02:06):
that I'm asking my audience to go to redcross dot
com to donate to help the people of Los Angeles.
There's nothing like a disaster to put things in perspective.

(02:33):
Forget the political arguments, forget the RAMS game. This weekend.
Right now, what's most important is giving help to the
people of Los Angeles who badly need it. We can
save the bickering about global warming for another day. As

(03:02):
someone with an interracial family, I'm horrified with what our
two political parties have done, and I don't think right
now we should be counting on them to help the
people of Los Angeles. It's up to us. It was

(03:30):
only a matter of time before something like this happened
out in Los Angeles anyway, with all the forests out
there again, I want my audience to go to www

(03:54):
dot Redcross dot com to donate to help I aid
the recovery of Los Angeles after the wildfires. Los Angelinos

(04:15):
needs someone to touch their lives, and politicians are the
last people we can trust to do it. It's up
to us to give Los Angeles help. This is Dan Riley.
Thank you so much for tuning in and so long

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
