Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome to the Danny Clinkscale Reasonably irreverent podcast, insightful and
witty commentary, probing interviews and detours from the beaten path.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Welcome to Arts and Lifestyle Wednesday, presented by Strategic Partners, Inc.
Zach Ridemeier and his fine team of financial experts will
help you out, point you in the right direction and
put a smile on your face financially. It's Strategic Partners
Ink here more on the during the course of this podcast,
and you'll know how to get involved with Zach and
his fine team. Well, it's reconcilable differences with Danny and Jane.
(00:39):
And we did not really have a post European vacation letdown,
at least I didn't think I did, but maybe Jane did,
which we'll hear about in a minute, because we're already
planning on going back, So I guess maybe there was
a little bit of a letdown, not to me. We've
filled our time with things frivolous and nice and busy
(01:03):
and visiting with friends. And speaking of frivolous, we went
to see the Happy Together Tour last Friday at the
Kaufman Center, a group of sixties performers who are not
in their sixties even probably more than that, and most
of it was really good and fun. We are on
a grilling binge of consecutive saturdays with friends and Jane
(01:26):
has got the deck to her liking and satisfaction. Pronounced
that the other day we've only had it for twenty
five years. I guess it takes a quarter century to
find satisfaction on the deck. We found satisfaction on the
golf viewing standpoint, as Jane returned to watching big time
(01:47):
tournament golf just in time to see Tommy Fleetwood finally win.
It's sworn off Tommy Fleetwood and golf and thought she
was a jinx or whatever. And maybe part of the
post year as well as a new workout routine for Jane.
She's turning into Danny Clinkscale with daily workouts and there
(02:10):
you're not even bought it up yet, so don't calm down.
And we also had a nice visit the other day
by Zoom with our friends from Halifax, England, John and
bridget We've got some unfortunate news that John is battling cancer,
but he's optimistic about his treatments, and of course we
can talk a little bit about that famous Kansas City Royalty.
(02:32):
Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift are engaged, and the whole
world probably knew that was going to happen, but now
it actually has. It's all part of the mix unreconcilable
differences with Danny and Jane, and we'll talk about probably
one reconcilable difference we have that I'll spring on Jane.
That's all part of it. Coming up next on Arts
and Lifestyle Wednesday, presented by Strategic Partners, Inc.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
More of Danny's Reasonably Irreverend podcast after this.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Have your investment statements had a lot of peaks and
valleys over the years. The peaks are great and even
the valleys can provide opportunities for you as an investor. However,
the closer we get to retirement, the more challenging these
market swings can become. This is Zach Ridemier. I would
like to get to know you and your goals for
the future. I offer financial planning services across the United States,
(03:21):
focusing mainly on Kansas and the Missouri area. I look
forward to meeting with you face to face. With the
highs and lows throughout the financial landscape. My goal is
to make sure you feel protected once you've set your
retirement date. Growing up in a tight knit community, I
understand the importance of knowing you can rely on someone
to have your back. I'm always a phone call away
to talk with you about your investments. Make you feel
(03:43):
you're getting the most out of your retirement. Give me

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Securities and advisory services offered through LPL Financial, a Registered
Investment Advisor member FINRA SIPC. We're here with doctor Brad
Woodell from Advanced Sports and Family Chiropractic and Acupuncture, and
one thing we like to talk about is the wide
range of services that can help you out mentally and physically.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
We offer many services from chiropractic, acupuncture, nutritional work, and rehabilitation,
and we take care of patients of all ages from
young to old and customize the care to help them
stay well and stay active.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
What are some of the things that you can do
to help that.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
The first thing we're going to do is we're going
to look at prevention. How do we keep you moving
and aligned? Ideally, just like your car, that expensive car
is going to have your top priority and maintenance. You
want to keep it in good shape. This body of yours,
it is worth a lot.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Advanced sports and family Chiropractic and acupuncture. Eight locations all
around the Kansas City area, so you can find one
near you to do all the things that doctor Woodell
has just stressed. It's ASFCA. We're here at the twenty
third Street Brewery with Matt Llewellen all the time. There's
exciting things going on, new water feature, new beers, and
this fall football is back in Lawrence and that's cool.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Football back in Lawrence. Can you imagine that we actually
had to endure a year without it. Well, it is back.
It's back on campus. We're so happy that they're here,
just like years past. We offer a free shuttle coming
from the twenty third Stree Brewery an hour and a
half before game time. We partner with the Boys and
Girls Club to do that, so it's helping a good
cause also, so come in to the brewery early before
(05:34):
the game. Free shuttle to and from the football game.
We love to have you out here. Excited to have
the Jayhawks back in town where they belong.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Great food, great beers, great fun during football season at
the twenty third Street Brewery twenty third and Castle in Lawrence.
If you'd like to join these and other fine sponsors
and market your business to Kansas City's number one variety podcast,
contact us at Danny at Danny clinkscale dot com. Look
forward to working with you. Welcome back. Well, we're about
(06:01):
three weeks on or a little less than that from
our time over in Europe. I guess it's a couple
of weeks now and we can look back with really
all kinds of fun and joy and satisfaction. And Jane
has already created a photo book online. I'm going to
do that eventually, and it's kind of a nice little
(06:22):
bound thing. I'm going to actually use it today because
I'm going to visit with somebody who was going to
take the exact same cruise that we did. Want some
advice and tips and things like that, But in the
rear view mirror, I can't think of it's fun to
talk about it, it's fun to think about it, and
it's fun to think about perhaps doing it again.
Speaker 6 (06:42):
Yeah, we just you know, I can't say enough. We
just really had a fabulous time. I mean, we upund
no matter what. But maybe it's because we hadn't been
there in a long time was part of it. But
it was also being on the water. I didn't realize
how much I really love that. And so you know,
certain types of crew is with all adults. But we
(07:02):
can have our space works for us, I think, so
bravo on that score.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
And not one to let the grass grow under her feet.
Shane has already planned for next summer and we're going
to venture into new territory, not only geographically, but we've decided,
or you decided basically, that we're going to try out
a bigger cruise ship.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (07:27):
You know, Viking really has a down and I think
we like the quality and the simplicity of the way
they function. Others want more glitz and glamour, and I've
been reading the reviews and there's a few people who
want more of the yeehaw entertainment kind of stuff, more kids,
(07:52):
but that's not our thing. So I'm excited because they
have the route we want because we want to focus
on Croatia, which is everyone says it's one of the
most beautiful, beautiful landscapes they've ever seen in vistas from
the water, So why not do it in style?
Speaker 2 (08:12):
And we are going to do it in style. That'll
be very curious to see. How we like the bigger boat,
we like the small confines of the other boat. One
advantage for me is this bigger ship has a gym
in it, so in a spa, so that'll be cool
for both of us. And I can't say. It's a
year off and I'm very much looking forward to it
(08:33):
and already kind of excited.
Speaker 6 (08:36):
It's terrible. They suck you in, you know, it's like
you look one thing up and all of a sudden,
now online you're getting zapped. And I hate to say,
I mean, Viking really has it down from a marketing perspective.
They know how you intuitively think about a trip, and
they hand you exactly what you're intutally thinking about. You know,
what is this trip? What's the route? How do they
(08:57):
make it easier for us to click? It's too easy.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Yeah, you're inundated with the things that look just great
after you've already done it so well. A power couple
who probably could just rent one of the long ships
themselves certainly they could probably rent a cruise ship as
a matter of factor. Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift, they
are now engaged. It's a great thing for Kansas City, really,
(09:23):
because so much attention is placed on Kansas City because
of the most well known woman in the world, I
would say right now anyway, and professional football player in
America is very well known in America, maybe not worldwide,
but probably known worldwide. More is now Taylor Swift's fiance.
Speaker 6 (09:43):
Well, and the killer is this is so such an
amazing announcement that teachers let kids go home from school
because they were so overwhelmed by the announcement. I've never
heard of such a thing. It's crazy. But you know, hey, well,
in the world of social media, when they're all right
on their phones, I can see kind of what the
(10:04):
grasp is because she's inspired so many young kids and
young adults.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
What's going to be interesting to me is to see
what Travis Kelsey's post football life is like. I mean,
there's no way he's just not going to be known
mostly as mister Taylor Swift, you know, because he's going
to retire from football, maybe after this year, I don't know,
maybe after the next and he'll probably be a commentator
(10:33):
or something like that. His podcast obviously is very successful,
but I think that would be an interesting dynamic.
Speaker 7 (10:40):
You know.
Speaker 6 (10:41):
I I think he's so for this. I mean, I
think somehow, I just write immediately maybe most people felt this.
There was just something about both of their backgrounds and
how he's like, Oh, she's just like my mom. I mean,
what are you going to do about that? It's just
you know, Oedipus down the line. That's all I can say.
He seems so happy, I mean in a very genuine way,
(11:03):
and so does she. I think they're actually very down
to earth people, but very smart people. I don't think
he's gonna I think he will. Look how we look,
how he did on Saturday Night Live. I think he's
got a lot going to be happening with.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Him, right. He seems to people, I think, seem to
think that he can indeed be an actor or or
a comic actor or maybe a serious actor. I don't know,
and whether he throws himself into that. Basically he can
do anything he wants or nothing, which will be just
fine for him too. Well, sometimes you don't quite know
(11:36):
what the motivation of people to continue performing on and
on and on in their lives. And we saw several
people who are like that in the Happy Together tour
at the Koffman Center. I think Jane had basically forgotten
that I had bought tickets from this about a year
or eight months ago or something. Anyway, the lineup for
(11:56):
this particular event was the cow Sills, the Vogues, Jay
and the Americans, Little Anthony from Little Anthony in the
Imperials there are no Imperials anymore, at least he doesn't
perform with them. Gary Pucket from Gary Pucket in the
Union Gap without the Union Gap, and the Turtles, who
are sort of made up of no turtles anymore.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
But we're very.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Entertaining and it was packed to the rafters at the
Kaufman Center. Really feel good event. The backup musicians were
accomplished and wonderful. There was a good vibe in it,
and except for creepy Gary Pucket Black, it was really
kind of fun.
Speaker 6 (12:34):
Oh my god, the castles came out and just that
I would have been happy just hearing the castles and
going home. They were so fun. They had so much energy.
They're clearly like so still they're really good to you guys,
They've never been my thing when I was a kid.
But when I hear him now, you know, I know,
and then hair, you know, they I mean, they just
(12:54):
did a lot of amazing stuff that we just forget
what they did so much fun and the Vogue sound beautiful,
They sound absolutely beautiful.
Speaker 7 (13:03):
Little Anthony he was fabulous, fantastic his his he's eighty
four and the quality of what his expectation is so
high that I was like blown away, blown away.
Speaker 6 (13:18):
And he still does his moves, which is really fun
in his own way.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
And he's very funny guy, you know, clearly sort of
a you know, you could clearly see him on a
Las Vegas stage easily, good banter.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
You know.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
One of his famous songs is Shimmy, Shimmy Coco Pop,
and he hates the song and openly said that he
thinks it's the stupidest song ever. But it was a
very popular song and so he performs it. And uh
so the vogues, there's no real vogues, it's none of
the original vogues, but they've been the vogues for a
long time. The Jay and the Americans. Karami is probably
(13:51):
their most famous song. Come a little bit close D
D D. He is the third J and he talked
about that. I think he's been Jay for seventeen years,
I think, he said, and little Anthony has been a
little Anthony for his whole life. And he's little, although
he's wide, but yes, he's short and wide.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
Now.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
He was great, and we'll get to the turtles in
a moment. The only doubter was really Gary Pucket. I'm
kind of surprised, to be honest, that people want to
see Gary Pucket perform now is it's totally out of
place in this day and age. His music is almost
(14:31):
every one of his hit songs and he had several
of them is about trying to take a teenage girl
to bed basically, and you know, young girl, get out
of my mind and run away and all this kind
of creepy stuff. And he was kind of creepy himself.
And also he was the worst performer.
Speaker 6 (14:48):
He had no voice left, he has a strange, strange haircut,
was like, don't even go there. And he was so
confident in this sleazy was.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Use a rama, right, Yeah, he was confident, sleezy, creepy,
all of it. You know. Thankfully there's six acts, so
nobody really is up there for that long. I'll say this.
The crowd liked it. Yeah, they liked the song, so
that was fine. But I quitted my teeth and the
songs are catchy tunes, so I mean it's not you
(15:21):
can grin and bear it. But after all this sleaziness,
he concludes by saying, Jesus is Lord, of course.
Speaker 6 (15:28):
That was that did it for me? Sorry, that was sorry.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Not good, And then it was time to conclude with
the reason it's called the Happy Together Tour I'm sure
is the Turtles performed, but there are really no Turtles either.
Mark Vohman is alive. The other performer is who is
the main singer. Actually, originally he's passed away, and Mark
Boleman has been performing with the Turtles regularly until this year.
(15:54):
He's come down with an illness and hasn't been able
to perform. So one of the members of the backup
band was one Turtle, and the other Turtle was Ron Dante,
who is quite good.
Speaker 6 (16:05):
He's eighty four is his birthday was no, No, No eighty.
He just turned eighty that day.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
It was eighty that day and he was a go
to session singer in the sixties. And had several hits,
most of them anonymous as a matter of fact, and
including being the lead singer for the Archies.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
And he did.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Perform Sugar Sugar, Oh my God, and he sang the
turtle songs quite well, and he was quite good.
Speaker 6 (16:30):
He reminded me of Dana Carvey, little Dana Carvey. But
he was fabulous and you know, almost self effacing about
the fact that he really isn't, you know, a turtle originally,
but he could sing and the stuff, and we still
had fun, you know, happy together, and.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Then they all came out at the end. It was
about ninety to one hundred minutes and nice encore and
the crowd loved it. Several standing ovations and it was
really goofy Fun.
Speaker 6 (16:59):
Goofy Fun didn't want to turn around because it was
like we were in a retirement center. But hey, it
was all good.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
And we had tremendous seats to her in the second row,
so that was that made it cool. And Jane forgot
her long distance classes and she was going to borrow mine.
I said, you sure you want to see these people
that I didn't need to see this?
Speaker 6 (17:18):
Yes, yes, Well to wrap up.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
Our first part, so we go from the joys of
all these things we've talked about to the fact that
we now have to get a new toilet that is
just not any fun. It's expensive.
Speaker 6 (17:33):
Never get a clog.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
It's done.
Speaker 6 (17:35):
It can it make turned? You know, things you know,
kind of tumble over themselves sometimes.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Right, So we had leaks and we're going to repair
a little bit of a ceiling from spill. And but
it's my the bathroom I use the most. So I'll
have a fancy new toilet. But guys, I think you'll
be able to identify with this part of it. Yesterday Jane,
you know, she cares about Danny's so much. He appreciates it.
(18:01):
But she calls me down, did come here co America mirror?
She's like, what do you think of these toilets? I'm like,
they're Toilets's fine, Well, I think that's kind of a
pretty wonderment, Like it's a toilet.
Speaker 6 (18:14):
Hey, hey, whatever you want, ladies. Ladies listening, you know
the difference between a color or a top looking toto
versus an old American standard if you know what I'm
talking about design is you can have good design in everything,
including your bathroom.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
Well, so I will have a fancy new toilet as
of tomorrow. I actually have to pick up the toilet today.
I hope it doesn't weigh too much, but it doesn't
really matter. They'll help me get it in the car.
They don't bring you your toilet. It's two separate entities
that combine to create this new bathroom sensation a new toilet.
(18:52):
So on that note, we'll flush that segment and move
on to the next. Coming up next it Starts and
Lifestyle Wednesday Presented by Strategic Partners, Inc. And Reconcilable Differences
with Danny and Jane.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
More of Danny's Reasonably Irreverend podcast After.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
You welcome. Back and one thing that we do often
here on Our Reconcilable differences is talk about entertainments that
we have taken, in and we really haven't done much
of that over the past couple of. Weeks jane has
there's been a lot of sports. On i've had a
lot of activities going, on so we haven't watched much.
Together BUT i have been a little bit surprised By
(22:10):
jane's new, fave although she's going to have to wait
a while to see another season Of DEPARTMENT, q which
is a crime thriller From, england and it has been
renewed for a second, season and the first, SEASON i
really pretty much just got to see a few minutes
at the end of each, episode AND i was somewhat
(22:31):
surprised the fact that you were enthused about this particular,
thing just because it was kind of grizzly and there
was some violence and things like. That BUT i know
you appreciated the story and the acting.
Speaker 6 (22:46):
Of matthew Good, well you know he Wasn't Downton. Abbey
is that one of the cute boys that what's her? Face?
Dated so you know he has this following. There what's
funny about it is Typical english actor in real. Life
he's kind, OF i don't, know just a non, entity
do we be really nice, guy, fun very, sweet and
(23:07):
then he comes out with this unbelievable character that is Just,
oh it's a tough ass, world you know when you're
in the police. Department but this storyline was so, interesting
the backstories of everything going, on that really it really
made for great, drama great. DRAMA i turned away a
(23:28):
few times because some of the, grizzliness but it's getting rave.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Reviews, yes AND i could TELL i from the BITS i,
WATCHED i could tell it was a Quality it was
a quality event in an equality. Series but it's pretty.
Grizzly so if you like grizzly, thrillers then you will
Appreciate DEPARTMENT, q which In august was renewed for another,
(23:56):
season so we will get some More DEPARTMENT. Q BUT
i did like in The wikipedia description of it, Says
moore receives a muted welcome since his college colleagues generally
regard him as arrogant and anti's, social and then in,
parentheses he is so there you. Go DEPARTMENT q could
be on your, menu and there's one season in the
(24:18):
books and another coming. Up, well another kind of entertainment
is our. Grilling and so on Consecutive saturdays we have
are bookending a couple of social. Events and last week
we had good friends over and had an excellent, time
and This saturday we'll have more good friends. Over Now
i'll say, this our good, friends whoever we, invite get
(24:38):
a special occasion because there are usually some reconcilable differences
during the course of the, day because preparation is, everything
according To. Ms, siemens and we want she wants everything
right to it's it's if you know what it's. Like
it's Like Travis kelcey And Taylor swift are coming over for.
Speaker 6 (24:58):
Grilling well as life should be always about rolling.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Out the red.
Speaker 6 (25:04):
Carpet, yeah that's, true that's. True, well WHAT i.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Will say the fallout of this is that When saturday
is concluded and, everything then we do have fixed up,
yard trimmed, bushes the deck is, spotless everything.
Speaker 6 (25:22):
Else AND i just, say the reason why this is
a difference but reconcilable is THAT i feel a certain
party who's in this room.
Speaker 7 (25:34):
Has a much more casual nonchalant way of doing everything last.
Speaker 6 (25:39):
Minute and we were doing a lot last minute last
week because my schedule was so busy And i'm, like
how much can you pack in one day and still
enjoy and not be sweating when your guests arrive Black.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
It was so so packed in THAT i was getting
in the shower at four o'clock for a five to thirty.
Event so there was plenty of. TIME i had plenty
of time to do. Everything but, anyway we enjoy. It
and we've got some kind of new furnishings and things
out on the. Deck and you have said THAT i
think you use the phrase. FINALLY i am completely happy
(26:13):
with what we've got.
Speaker 6 (26:14):
Back, yeah you, KNOW i don't know what it. IS
i think we just you, know we've just GOT i
think a, nicer nicer, ambiance you, know and you, know
we renovated our. Furniture we kind of had a redo
done on our furniture in the back and just you,
know little things here and there make it more because new.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
Cushions that's about.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
It, well we're very lucky in the fact that we
live on a very busy. Corner but the way our
backyard is constructed just by, happenstance and we got a
big hill in the, back and we've got a big
wall on the left to our left as you, sat well,
whatever towards the, north and so it really seems like
(26:54):
we're cocooned, in even though when we're in a very
very busy.
Speaker 6 (26:57):
Place and then we have these tall trees and people
keeps mentioning, it which is we're so used. To it
is kind of like a little bit like you're in a.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
Forest well maybe not the day of a grilling, event
but now seemingly most every. Day my, bride who has
always been active and exercise and done yoga and things like,
that but now seems to be more in The Danny
klinkskale mode of getting up and working out before. Breakfast
(27:27):
NOW i don't eat, breakfast so that's a little, different
but working out first, thing so, oftentimes well almost all
the time Now jane has worked out before.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Me.
Speaker 6 (27:37):
Amazing, WELL i figure IT'S i got it before. You
so because you get in there and you're there for
a while and it obviously has worked for you, forever
why not follow the, lead WHICH i should have done
twenty five years.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
Ago, well and as you went to the, doctor the other,
day AND i don't know if it was just a happy,
mistake but you've lost considerable amount of.
Speaker 6 (27:56):
PLACE i think there was a, Mistake. ASHLEY i think
there's one digit, off But i'm going with.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
It, YEAH i, WOULD i said go with. It you,
know in my, experience the scale at the doctor's office weighs.
HEAVY i think.
Speaker 6 (28:10):
That's WHY i think she accidentally hit one digit.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
Off well, maybe but we'll we'll just consider That jane
is more svelt than she always, is which is pretty spelt.
Anyway so no problem problems. There but we are lucky
enough to have a nice little setup down in our.
Basement and you, KNOW i watch a lot of soccer
games down. There that's kind of my primary thing THAT
i like to, do, golf, Whatever so you, KNOW i
(28:36):
BUT i do, enjoy you, know when we go on
vacation or. Whatever i'm still WHEN i run or do
exercise away from our workout. AREA i don't wear, HEADPHONES
i don't play, MUSIC i don't do.
Speaker 6 (28:49):
Anything so let me just say, BOTH i have the
most motivated guy and your. FAMILY a couple of people
in your family are like this too about exercise, Exercise
so you, KNOW I i can guarantee YOU i will
never be married to a not in shape, person right
unless something really bad.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Happens, Right AND i am inspired, by you, know occasional.
Tales for, instance my sixth grade teacher who IS i
dedicated a chapter of my first book. Too she is
in her late seventies now and her husband is a
couple of years older than, her and he still runs.
Marathons he's almost. Eighty SO i think THAT i will
be continuing to do that TILL i. Can't so at
(29:32):
some Point i'll be told not to or can't or
can't imagine. It BUT i can't imagine that right. Now
and of course we've been blessed generally with good, health
although we both have had our cancer in our time
and gotten pasted it and hopefully that's a permanent, thing
but we Had every so often we do a zoom
call with our friends over In, Halifax, England john And,
(29:55):
bridget and we found out That john has has, cancer
but it looks like they've got it just in, time
and it's an operation and. Such but it's always great
to visit with them and we get to talk about
old age. Things, Actually bridget Has parkinson's and achiees of
fighting through, that and so with all their health, concerns
(30:18):
there may be a change in what you were going to.
Do as far as the famous dogs, show.
Speaker 6 (30:25):
We WERE i was going to fly over and we
were going to go To birmingham And, Birmingham england to
see The Crufts Dog, show because she is a very
Intense scottie breeder AND i Love english a lot Of english.
Breeds one of my favorite, is of course The Welsh,
corgi and many many, others and they have sort of
(30:47):
different versions, there so we may have to wait a,
year but they're just. Wonderful bridget's an opera singer LIKE i,
am and we've done a lot of concerts together over
the years and it's just great to keep in. Touch
joy And.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
John is a historian and he has written a couple of,
books and he's a tremendous job, jovial jolly, man and
he's a very fun, company even through the zoom call
and so it's always. Great and when we've a couple
of times we've been able to see them in, person
it's always been super. Enjoyable and he's a great tour.
(31:22):
Guide we went through the moors with them and very
very cool. Stuff, well in our, household one of the
things we do like to do is watch. Golf But
jane had taken a hiatus from watching tournament golf because
When Tommy fleetwood had thrown away three tournaments in about
the last two, months And jane got to the point
(31:42):
where she felt like she was a. Jinx and we're
big fans Of, tommy who everybody, likes and that was
evidenced in the fact that in The Tour, championship the
final championship of the year on THE Pga tour with
a huge, prize and this would a winner take all
type of. Event this, time we settled down On sunday
(32:03):
evening And jane agreed that she was going to watch
shot by shot by, shot and we did that and
we were tortured and, smiling and he was ahead the
most of the. Time but we had seen it all
be frittered away, before but not this time, around and
we were so. Excited we even toasted with A scotch
about eleven o'clock at the time As tommy won and
(32:26):
his step son came out and he's just a popular
player and people like him and they identified with his
failures in. Golf if you win three percent of the,
time you're going to go to The hall Of. Fame
so rooting for a golfer is always, difficult but in
this case it created a nice Rewarding sunday.
Speaker 6 (32:46):
Oh, yeah. Yeah and he even went his. Win he
was rather shy about it all and you, know wants
people to know this isn't, it which is an amazing,
thing and he's really a competitor underneath all that. SHINE
i think that's what keeps people excited about, him because
he's a very honest.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
PERSON i think he did become more famous and liked
because of his. Looks BUT i, mean he's one of
the few golfers who has extremely long hair and a.
Beard in his nickname in THE pga Tourst Fairway. Jesus
he's not a religious man, particularly but he kind of
looks the. Part So Fairway jesus ruled On sunday and
(33:25):
we were happy about, that and there were no differences about.
That the only difference was the fact That jane felt
like she was a bad. Influence not a bad, influence
just bad.
Speaker 9 (33:36):
Karma bad.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
Karma but now we will be able to watch any
golf tournament anytime because that's been, purged just Like Tommy.
Fleetwood and he puts a bow on this particular. Episode
episode with a big. Smile Unreconcilable differences With danny And
jane always part Of arts And Lifestyle, wednesday presented By Strategic, Partners.
