Speaker 5 (02:04):
The big names with.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Would you would? Would Libo then be like the Mayo? Yeah,
this buns are Travis Goff.
Speaker 6 (02:13):
Nobo was what's what's that stuff called that comes with sushi?
The refraction? The ginger ginger, Yeah, he was the ginger.
There was a lot of consuming going on, so you
need a little palate cleanse there, and so he was
the ginger.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
I never touched the ginger myself.
Speaker 6 (02:35):
I do eat the ginger.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Do you you.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Eat it or you just you're supposed to chew on
it and then spit it out.
Speaker 5 (02:42):
Has anybody ever tasted like ginger that isn't first like
just right off the root it's supposed to be. It's
got great like healing properties. It's really a good proceed
with caution because one little bite, it's like, that's the
hottest thing I've.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Ever When you get it with sabby, it's been like colder.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (03:01):
The first time I ever had sushi, it was served
in there's the wasabi sitting there. I didn't know anything.
I put sauce so no, I put it on my
first piece of sushi like peanut butter.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
That's an awakening. I can breathe it.
Speaker 6 (03:17):
With drooling for the entire meal after that sinus is cleared.
Speaker 5 (03:22):
Yes, very much.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
Yeah, that's quite a sight.
Speaker 6 (03:25):
Questions much with sabbi there? I mean, I guess you
put it on and can you get more like oops?
Speaker 5 (03:35):
Live and yeah.
Speaker 6 (03:37):
Now I use about an eighth of it and mix
it with soy sauce and that's plenty.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
I do use a lot of wasabi, but I mix
up with the soy sauce. Right, unless unless you go
the henhouse sushi, which by the way.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Is really good.
Speaker 6 (03:52):
It is good.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
And that you don't get a little bowl to mix
your stuff in. So there, I smear the wasabi cross
the top of everything and then pour the the soy
sauce on it. And that can be a little bit dangerous, Yeah,
it can be, but I like it, Danny.
Speaker 5 (04:08):
It could be a little dance.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
That's how I live. Danny on the.
Speaker 6 (04:11):
Edge, Yeah, the man of action and danger.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
That's right, that's right, putting those sabi straight.
Speaker 6 (04:17):
On there you go, that's straight out of with Sabbi.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Yeah, you know, all right, let's talk a little bit
about this game that's going.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
To be going on here.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
The Jayhawks are favored by two and a half points
for the first time since two thousand and nine.
Speaker 6 (04:32):
Danny, I'm surprised, color me surprised. I would not make
Kansas the favorite in this game. Really, that is really true.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
That is awesome because I picked Kansas to win it.
And the last time you were just spouting this was
that Central Florida was going to win.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
So color me thrilled that this is your outlook on
the game.
Speaker 6 (04:53):
There you go, Well, if Kansas State plays like Central
Florida did in that game, Kansas will wind.
Speaker 4 (05:02):
Don't you think Kansas had something to do with how
Central Florida played?
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Little?
Speaker 6 (05:07):
Yeah, so, I mean the other teams out there. If
no Kansas wasn't on the field, Central Florida would have won.
But Central Florida just was bad. They were play calling
at the end of the game was dreadful. But yeah,
Kansas defense, that was that was their best defense of
the year in the second half of that game. I'll
give them that, but they they did have a co
(05:29):
conspirator in that regard.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Okay, So that has been all the talk, right is
how bad the Kansas defense is, how bad their rush
defense is?
Speaker 4 (05:38):
That that that is what.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
I hear over and over and over again. Yet they're
still favored. Okay, so let let let's look at these
these two defenses. Kansas defense is the problem, right. Kansas's
defense gives up three hundred ninety four yards case State
gives up three eighty six eight yards difference, Kansas does
give up one eighty eight on the ground, case State
(06:01):
gives up one fifty four, not ninety seven or one
to eleven one fifty four.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
Through the air, Kansas gives up.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Two six case State gives up two hundred and thirty two,
Like that's why Kansas is favored. Like everyone's talking about
the Kansas defense, but it's not. It's not like it's
way worse than the ky State defense.
Speaker 6 (06:24):
Well, my part of my deal is form in this game.
The last time Kansas Was went out there, they were
terrible on defense. They've had a bye week. Kansas State
had a bye week prior to the last week, two
games and they had another one and by the way,
Kansas State has another bye.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
They have three buys this year.
Speaker 6 (06:44):
But anyway, they did they did start playing in like Draghi. Yeah, Ireland, right,
they played the Ireland game. I guess that's why they
did it obviously, But so its recent form. Kansas State
had a close, tough loss against Baylor and then played
a very good game in their last game. I think
they're Kansas is favorite because their problem is rush defense
(07:06):
and it has been and they gave up almost ten
yards of carrier in the game against Texas Tech. But
Kansas State's really a throwing football team. They haven't run
the ball that great. Dylan Edwards won't play again now.
Joe Jackson had one hundred yard game the last time out,
so they showed some signs there. I think this will
be a real good test again for Lance Leipold, who
(07:27):
has been very good after bye weeks. He's five and one.
Chris Climbon hasn't been so good after bye weeks. He's
three and five. But I just like a lot of
different things about this game. I think it's pretty evenly
matched game. I'm just surprised Kansas is a three point favorite.
I probably'd have k State like a one or two
point favorite. That would be if I was setting the line.
(07:49):
That would be my line.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
By the way, I'm finishing these numbers. Here, hold on.
Speaker 7 (08:03):
And over here hold on, hold on? Okay, good radio
good Jeah, Okay, here we go.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
So got it finished.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
Overall offensive defense, Kansas is outgains its opponents by twenty
four yards. Case State is outgained by nineteen yards. Kansas
outscores its opponents by eight point eight points per game.
Case State outscores its opponents by two point four points
per game.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
I mean, I think.
Speaker 6 (08:37):
What I said recent form, that's what I'm basically on.
I think KSE State has found something in the last
month in Kansas to me is more on a slide. Now,
Texas Tech's awful good, and especially they were awful good
before they lost their starting quarterback, and so maybe, but
they look so bad early against Texas Tech. I mean,
(08:58):
Texas Tech was drilling people, but that looked like a
high school game. I mean, like a high school game
between vintage Rockhurst of the nineteen nineties and Paola or something.
It was bad. Now they bounced back and did a
good job of not getting undressed completely, but then they
get belted again in the second half. So it's how
(09:20):
they reacted during the bye week, made some adjustments that
will tell the tale of whether they can win this game.
I'm not going to be shocked if they win. They're
at home, and usually the games and Lawrence have featured
a large contingent of Kansas State fans. This time around,
I don't think that will be the case. Smaller capacity
it sold out, less excitement for Kansas State, which to
(09:41):
their fans is having a disappointing season. And I think
the real story of this game is that the loser
is really I mean, this game is more about the
loser to me than the winner. The winner is going
to be happy and then their season will take a
little turn for the brighter, but the loser looking at
potential no Bowl for Kansas State, which I think was
(10:06):
pretty much considered maybe a cold favorite in the league.
I think the Iowa State Kansas State game at the
start of the year was considered maybe a preview of
the Big Twelve title game. So I think this is
a downside game. There's gonna be some bummed fans of
one school or another after this game.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
I think that I don't you know, I would agree
the way you put it. I can't argue with anything there.
What about the fact that not only is Dylan Edwards's
not gonna play in KSE State's leading pass rusher is
not going to play either.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
He's done for the year.
Speaker 6 (10:37):
Yeah, he has gone for the year. But they at
least they know that, and they knew it in the
last game and made some adjustments. I think it's important.
I think one of the biggest factors. And you know,
most people can't really bother Jalen Daniels that much even
with a good pass rush because of his escapability. Didn't
mention matter for Texas Tech. Now they probably have you know,
(10:59):
in their front seat or whatever they're rolling out there.
They run three linebackers who rush the passer, et cetera.
They might have four pros so maybe that and they did,
but they sacked them eight times in the game, so
I don't think k State can do that. I expect
this to be a pretty high scoring game. So I
(11:19):
don't know whether the defenses are going to be impactful
in this game.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Yeah, I mean, I think that's what it looks like
on paper, is that both defenses are going to have
a hard time stopping people. So yeah, you know, yeah,
I think I think for sure that points are going
to be scored. Who's got the better quarterback?
Speaker 6 (11:41):
Oh, I think KU has the better quarterback. Avery Johnson
is capable of going out in any particular game, I
think playing maybe better than Daniels, but he's been inconsistent.
Daniels always plays well, but throughout his career he generally
has not played mistake free football in any game. Basically
(12:03):
any game. Usually, even in his finest games, there'll be
a fumble in there, or a bad interception, a pick six, whatever.
If he plays a game without doing something like that,
which has been rare, he's hell on wheels because he's
good anyway.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
In some of those.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Games, we're just looking at it to the yardage, I
mean the quarterback difference. I don't think it's as far
apart as the yardage as the stats would tell you
it is. But because I think gave you Johnson, like
you said, I think he can play, and I think
they've kind of found a better rhythm for how to
play him. But I do think the NOD goes to
(12:37):
Kansas and what about the coaches, what about the game
management side of things? Who is the advantage?
Speaker 6 (12:44):
I think it's been kind of a rough year for
both coaches. In that standpoint, I guess I would slightly
lean toward Chris Kleiman. I think he is slightly more
willing to be aggressive enough. I guess I say aggressive enough.
I think he's sort of leaned into going for fourth
(13:07):
down without fault a little too much. But I think
Lance Leippold is a little too conservative in that aspect.
So I think it's a little bit of both from
those two. But I guess one more year of experience
at the school, I think he's made some adjustments during
the course of this season. I think Lance Lighthold has
(13:28):
been very frustrated by the way that things have gone.
It was a bad look with what he did in
the last game, So I'll go with climbing slightly. Okay, interesting,
All these things are slight. This is a pretty even game.
I think it's just a fun game to view. But
(13:48):
like I said, I was and still am surprised that
Kansas is favored.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
Who has more at stake?
Speaker 6 (13:58):
I'd guess Kansas. I mean, when you've lost sixteen games
in a row to your in state rival, any the
next one is big. You got to end this sooner
or later, especially when you've got two new coaches only
separated by one year at the school, and one of
them's won them all and one of them's lost them all.
(14:19):
So I guess it would be Kansas. But both teams
have a lot to lose. I mean, there's seasons are
going to be bordering on you know, bad if they
lose the game, and then they'll have to recover quickly
to make a bowl put a smiley face on it.
And for Kansas, if they lose, they're in peril of
(14:39):
no bowl. They'd be two years in a row. That
wouldn't be good.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
So Kansas, and you can get in at five and
seven these days, right, so you're not totally out. But
if you know, to your point, I thought it was
a good one about you know, being about who loses.
You know, you're you're three and five if you're a
case state, and you know, so to get to six
and six, you got to go three and one against
(15:03):
Texas Tech, at Oklahoma State, at Utah and Colorado basically
means you got to be either Tech at home or
at Utah tradition to not slipping up right. And if
you're the Jayhawks, you follow the four and four. You've
got Oklahoma State at Arizona, at Iowa State and Utah.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
You gotta find a way to go too and two
and it's.
Speaker 6 (15:24):
Supposed to have a freebe there. But the other three
look like you'll be underdogs.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
Yeah, I don't know. What do you what do you
think you think so of Arizona? I don't. I don't.
I think Kansas will be favorite in there, it will
be favored at Arizona. I don't.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
Maybe I'm letting the fact that I think they're gonna
win tomorrow influence that, because if they win tomorrow, they're
five and three. Beat Oklahoma State they're six and three,
and so maybe maybe the perception is that they'll look
like they're better than they than they are. But I'm
not sold on Arizona being much. I mean, that's a
bad loss for Case State. Case State's the only com
(16:00):
if it's when Arizona has, isn't it.
Speaker 8 (16:02):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (16:04):
I think they've had Maybe I'm colored by the fact
I think they've had some close losses, good games. I
think they've played decent football this year.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
But they're one and three in the league.
Speaker 6 (16:16):
Right But like last they gave away While I'm trying
to think of which game were, they absolutely threw one
of the games away, which would make them two and two.
Speaker 5 (16:26):
Away.
Speaker 6 (16:26):
Yeah, if Kansas wins this game, I think there's a
chance they'd be favored, But I still would think that
they wouldn't be a favorite in that game.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
See, I almost feel like there's more pressure on kse
State one, partially because they are having a losing year,
but like to keep the streak going. Oh, what's the
difference between. There's no doubt that Kansas wants to end
the streak. There's no doubt. Mean, we just talked to
Travisoff about it. I'm not in any way saying Kansas
(16:56):
doesn't care about it. They care about it. It's vital
to get it ended. But I mean, if they would lose,
what is really the difference between sixteen in a row
and seventeen in a row?
Speaker 6 (17:07):
It's more the fact that it still exists, I agree,
And it's more the fact that lighthold would be zero
and five.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
I I agree with that.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
So, but the streak overall, I think I think puts
pressure on the team that's that's got it. You don't
want to be one to end it, particularly when it's
one that extends beyond your tenure.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (17:27):
I know, if if one sixteen in a row and
you're playing the other team on the road and you're
an underdog, I mean bad, How bad can you feel.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
If that streak ends on your watch? And also, I
mean it is also kind of the one thing that
Kansas State has been able to hold over Kansas. Yeah, well,
I'm oh, whatever that goes out the window and you're like,
what do you talk about?
Speaker 4 (17:50):
Now?
Speaker 5 (17:51):
We're meeting you now in football, We're going to probably
crush you in basketball? Where are you winning Case State?
Speaker 4 (17:57):
By the way, it's fun.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
I want to correct I want to correct something because
we always trying to get things right on here in
the program or be factually correct, not get them right,
but be factually correct.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
And it pains me, pains me.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
That this person is the one to correct me on
this because this, you know, just it just pains.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
Me for a lot of reasons.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
The Arizona one win in the league is against Oklahoma State,
not against k State, because the CA State game was
not a league game.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
Right, yeah, it was.
Speaker 6 (18:32):
It was a bad I don't think off my ass, John,
I don't think you paired those two. I think you
just said Arizona was a bad loss and then you
said they only have one.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
But it is still a bad loss. But I said,
I did say it was their only win was against
k State in the league, and it's not. They beat
mighty Oklahoma.
Speaker 6 (18:50):
State, right, but you know they lost by six to
BYU and they lost by three to Houston.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
I mean, oh so so close losses now are a thing.
Speaker 6 (19:00):
Well, it doesn't mean they're playing cremmy.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Foot, but it fits at least when it fits your argument.
Speaker 6 (19:05):
Yeah, exactly. I mean, if they appreciate that they got
cloud Ray and b Y, you was good. I mean,
they're the eleventh team in the country. They lost a
tough game to them, so I think they're acting, you know,
but yes, you start to lose games. It the momentum
in college football, within a college football season is is
(19:27):
really a palpable thing. Like do you think Auburn's going
to really feel great running out on the field tomorrow
because they've played good games and our last four SEC
games against highly ranked teams but they lost them all.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
Well, that would be my rebuttal to your foolishness.
Speaker 6 (19:46):
Right, Well, there you go.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
Yeah, it's like, so Auburn's good because they've been close games.
Speaker 6 (19:51):
I think they actually are pretty good. The Missouri better
hope they're they're good, right they because if they suck, yeah,
I mean, if they're no good, then that was that
win wrecked their offensive. We don't even you know, shouldn't
even count.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
Well, the win, it doesn't count much. I mean, I'll
be honest with you. From miss Hurry, from that standpoint,
we want to transition to that game. Let's let's let's
see that. Well, we'll come back and do that. I
want to go behind Danny clean skills with us, Little

Speaker 4 (21:36):
This is good.
Speaker 5 (21:36):
Since nineteen ninety five, how many Kansas starting quarterbacks have
beaten Kansas State since? When? Since ninety Since and including
nineteen ninety five MM one two three, Todd Racing did
it twice? Seven and eight. Kerrie Meyer was still playing
(21:59):
quarterback in a when they beat the Cats. And in
two thousand and four, a young man named Adam Barman
did it. Oh my Barman Meyer recing. Good for him?
That is that is nice, Adam Barman. I hope you
live around here, and I hope you're listening. Man, good
on you.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
All right? How about those Missouri Tigers?
Speaker 3 (22:23):

also even your holiday lights. That's right, Eastern Roofing can
put your holiday lights up for you. They're doing it
for me e, They're doing it for Danny. Go to
Easternroofing dot com. Eastern roofing where integrity matters. Danny, how
(22:43):
do you see this Missoo Vandy game.
Speaker 6 (22:46):
I'm a little puzzled by this game. I don't have
a strong feeling on this game. I think it's gonna
be a fun game to watch. I've rooted for Vanderbilt
basically out of pet ever since my children lived there
for five years and I went to Nashville all the time,
so I always root for the you know, I would
(23:09):
root for Northwestern, I root for Stanford, root for Vanderbilt.
I root for all the schools where academics seems to
be something, and I was usually they're dreadful underdogs or whatever.
So to me, it's a compelling matchup for them. But
I mean, it's four weeks in a row for them
playing big games. I mean, I guess that's the way
just the SEC is. Missouri's is kind of in the
(23:33):
same boat. I wouldn't say they let one and get
away against Alabama, but I'm sure they feel that way,
and they're.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
Oh, by the way, touchdown I cut it to three
when they were trailing by ten.
Speaker 6 (23:43):
Yeah, I don't know if i'd call it. Oh by
the way, they got the ball back with a chance
to take the lead, So I wouldn't say that. And
I thought they put up a good fight to even
stay in the game.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
And then I thought it was really good for three
plus quarters. But at the end Alabama went goodbye.
Speaker 5 (24:01):
Yeah, but if you have the ball.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
With when did they have the ball at the end
with a chance to take the lead with two.
Speaker 6 (24:07):
And a half minutes to go, they got the ball
back at midfield.
Speaker 5 (24:10):
They had the ball at midfield within the final thirty
seconds or so, down three, Yeah, and then he threw up.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
I thought, when was that They had the long pass
down that scored that you know, set up the touchdown
from them. Boy, they thought he may have rolled over
the top of the guy. That's what cut it to.
Speaker 6 (24:25):
Three, right, And then Alabama got.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
The ball and they made it was left when they
got the ball.
Speaker 6 (24:29):
They got it with two and a half minutes to go,
I think something like that. They forced Alabama to punt. Yeah,
I incorrected, so they had a chance, But I I
in general, Alabama controlled the game. So I think that
only in Missouri's eyes, if you watch the game, would
they feel like that was an opportunity lost. And then
I don't think they played well, I'm going to say,
you know, of two minds. Auburn has athletes, but if
(24:52):
they're if you're the number you know, fifteen team in
the country and you're playing an zero and three conference,
foll you're supposed to control him better. I thought of
Todd Liebow on several occasions during the Auburn game because
I kept saying, boy, Todd's got to be glad that
Jackson Arnold doesn't play for his squad anymore because he sucks,
(25:15):
and he sucked in that game.
Speaker 5 (25:17):
Not as bad as their kicker.
Speaker 6 (25:18):
But well, they're you know, that's just a sad story. Yeah,
I got guys get medical problems, and yeah, it's a
feel good story. At least Jackson Arnal was just terrible.
So Missouri's got to play better than they did the
last two weeks, same level of play. I think they'll lose,
but I think they're probably physically man for man the
(25:39):
better football team. So I'm leaning slightly to the Tigers
to get the job done.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
Okay, we'll take it. You finally got to it right.
Speaker 6 (25:53):
But like I said, it's the games.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
The game is.
Speaker 6 (25:55):
A conundrum wrapped in an enigma or the opposite. Whatever
the whatever the.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
Under.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
I think that's what it is. I wanted to.
Speaker 4 (26:05):
I think they usually say it riddle wrapped.
Speaker 5 (26:07):
We're like Taco Bell. You could take anything and wrap
it in anything else.
Speaker 6 (26:10):
That works or doesn't or doesn't work, depending on your viewpoint.
Speaker 5 (26:14):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Any combination of bean, cheese and meat, tortilla meat ish,
We're good.
Speaker 6 (26:23):
That isn't really meat it I don't think.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
Think it is the new chicken things better.
Speaker 6 (26:29):
Oh, I certainly haven't tried it. Oh no, I guess
what Jack in the box is the stuff that's really
not meat.
Speaker 5 (26:35):
I don't think that's true either.
Speaker 4 (26:36):
But have they left town? I don't know.
Speaker 6 (26:39):
I just mean they used to roll out that whatever
that taco they produced was that was so untaco, like, like.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
Are you talking about when you have like a slice
of a slice.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
Of cheese instead of shredded cheese?
Speaker 6 (26:55):
Is that what you're talking about? And it was sort
of there was no it didn't open up at the top,
you know, like a hot pocket, and whatever the filling was.
I sure hope it wasn't me just two burgers?
Speaker 5 (27:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (27:11):
Really, I mean, so you shouldn't have done that. But anyway,
so I'm I'm intrigued by the game. I'm excited to
watch the game. I think it should be an entertaining
football game. The games that Vanderbilt have gotten a little
more spice because now it's at least maybe fifty three
percent of the fans are there for Vanderbilt, and they're
(27:33):
excited to be there. I used to be there on
a Saturday and I literally a couple of times just
said to my daughters, Hey, just want to you want
to go to a college football game today? You know,
we can probably get tickets for five bucks or something, but.
Speaker 5 (27:49):
We did it walked out.
Speaker 6 (27:54):
You know, there's several people standing around and you know,
ten minutes to kick, ready to eat them. So I'm like,
twenty bucks for the three how about it.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
Sure they've upgraded that stadium too, haven't they.
Speaker 6 (28:06):
I think so.
Speaker 4 (28:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (28:07):
I think it's mandatory in that league that you think
something they have. But it's still a pretty it's still
a you know, the shell ball.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
It's like forty thousand, but I think it's pretty nice.
Speaker 5 (28:17):
Do they have the sidelines on the end like they're
doing basketball. They'd be kind of funny. Yeah, nice, something
from beneath the goalpost.
Speaker 6 (28:24):
That'd be good.
Speaker 5 (28:25):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
Yes, in the field is six feet above the front.
Speaker 5 (28:29):
Right, no one in the front row.
Speaker 6 (28:31):
But Diego pave is just a joy to watch, and
I'm sure that he will. He's a joy to watch
every time except Missouri fans watching him tomorrow when he's
infuriating you. The fourth down conversion play he made last
week was just one of the most spectacular football plays
I've ever seen. Escaped seven guys and then throws to
(28:54):
a running back who wasn't clearly wasn't even part of
the play. He was just running over He was just
running over there to distract somebody, and he said, whoa,
there he is. Ten yard game, first down, huge play.
I mean, he's he's so great in the fact that
his stat line every game is like one eighty five
(29:16):
passing eighty six running, and after you watch the game,
you go, that guy was amazing. Yes, so I do
enjoy watching Vanderbilt football, and Missouri's going to have a
game on their hands. But I think the combination of
several big wins in a row for Vanderbilt and I
(29:37):
think the Tigers will play a little bit better.
Speaker 5 (29:39):
But and they.
Speaker 6 (29:40):
Should control the running. They should be able to run
the football against Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt's defense hasn't been great. They've
manned up every now and then, and they show some spunk,
but Missouri has not run the football particularly well the
last couple of weeks. If they come out and Missouri's
running the ball, I think they're in good shape.
Speaker 5 (29:57):
I like it.
Speaker 4 (29:58):
If Missouri wins game, how do they.
Speaker 6 (30:01):
Finish you mean the season?
Speaker 3 (30:04):
Yeah, because it's it's Texas A and M Mississippi State
at OU at Arkansas.
Speaker 6 (30:12):
A and M strikes me as a game that they
will have a you know, coming off a buy at home. Now,
maybe this is a different mentality for A and M.
But A and M gets into these situations where it's
biggest game of the year and they lose them year
after year after year.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
They're only two and a half point favorites at LSU.
They only beat Arkansas by three. I mean, number three
team in the country. I mean they're undefeated. But right
so that Notre Dame win is doing a lot of
the lifting.
Speaker 5 (30:40):
I like that game.
Speaker 6 (30:41):
I don't like the Oklahoma game, So I guess I
would say if they win this game, they'll go ten
and two. But the tipping point game for the season
will be the A and M game, because if they
drop that one, well this could be the tipping point
game too.
Speaker 5 (30:57):
Yes, I mean they.
Speaker 6 (30:58):
Lose this game, then A and M's really the real
deal and their mindset is different under a new coach
and a new regime, and they come in and beat
the Tigers, and the season could go in the other direction.
But I'm picking them to beat win the game tomorrow,
and two weeks down the road, I like their chances
against A and M, so I'll go ten and two.
(31:22):
I certainly wouldn't roll out hundreds of dollars on that prediction.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Yeah, I mean, when you consider they're a two and
a half point dog here, they're going to be What
do you think the line will be.
Speaker 4 (31:32):
At A and M?
Speaker 6 (31:34):
Oh I think, well, depending on A and In plays tomorrow,
if they win, I think Missouri would probably be like
a four point underdog or something like that.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
I think it'll be bigger than that if A and M.
You got A and M winning. If A and M wins,
I think it's six and a half to eight and
a half.
Speaker 6 (31:55):
I don't, but you know, you're better at setting things
like that than I am. If Missouri and AM and
m both win. You're talking about two teams in the
top what fourteen twelve?
Speaker 4 (32:07):
Well, I think if Zoos Vanderbilt right, built eleven, Waltz
right by them.
Speaker 6 (32:12):
Yeah, what if everybody else, everybody else wins with the neighborhood.
Speaker 4 (32:18):
They're not there.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Yeah, they're not going to get the credibility that they
probably deserve for beating Vanderbilt. But like you know, in
front of them, you know, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Notre Dame
BYU Vandy. That's that's those are the teams in between
them and Vanderbilt.
Speaker 6 (32:31):
Right, if all those teams win, you know, Missouri probably
going to move up a spot or two. But you know,
maybe there's maybe there's carnage tomorrow. There aren't a lot
of big matchups tomorrow. Actually, the Missouri Vanderbilt game is
one of the two or three best games of the
day for sure.
Speaker 4 (32:47):
Well that's why it's a two thirty, right, That's I'm
trying to look what other.
Speaker 6 (32:52):
There's one other good game at two thirty. I think
there's three three matchups tomorrow of ranked versus ranked I
think that's right.
Speaker 4 (33:02):
I do.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
I do think L, s U A and M. I mean,
I know el she's you know, falling off with that.
That's a real ta.
Speaker 5 (33:08):
I mean, it's a good game.
Speaker 4 (33:09):
It's a compelling game because A and M could lose.
Speaker 6 (33:13):
Yeah, I keep waiting for the other shoot to drop
with A and M. Like I said, maybe this is
different under under their new coach. And you know, but
their history has been just littered with no matter who's
the coach or whatever. Yeah, it's seven and oh Texas,
A and M. Look at them, They're finally for real. Nope,
but it hasn't here as far as happened.
Speaker 3 (33:34):
Teams ranked teams with spreads under ten. Uh Ole Miss
is getting five and a half at OU. That's probably
the best game of the day. Yep, Vanderbilt is laying
two and a half the MISSOO. Iowa State is laying
two and a half unranked to b y U. Cincinnati's
a three and a half point favorite at home against Baylor.
(33:55):
Texas seven and that point favorite a Mississippi State, and
A and M is two and a half at LSU.
Those are all your Arizona States is seven and a
half point favorite over Houston. Those are your single digit
games with rank teams. So yeah, you're right, it's not
the biggest Saturday, but you know there's.
Speaker 6 (34:14):
Still plenty of Sometimes those are the most fun ones.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
Yeah, for sure. We'll take a break.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
All right, it's a program here on Sports Radio E
ten WHB. We're talking with Danny Clint Scale of Danny Unleashed,
brought to you by Easton Roofing. Danny, you said you
were interested in talking about the World Series.
Speaker 4 (35:37):
Why?
Speaker 6 (35:39):
Because I love both season baseball. These are two excellent
teams with star players. Starting pitchers are important in the series,
and I don't really have a rooting interest, but because
the Dodgers are a monolith, I can root against them.
There you go, and so I'm excited to watch this series.
I think that great starting pitching is compelling, and the
(36:03):
Dodgers have that, and the J's are capable of raking
against anybody. There's probably no more delightful person to watch
bat than Vladdie Junior, only second to his dad. You know,
but he's not playing, and.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
Uh, thanks for clearing that up.
Speaker 5 (36:24):
I'm fun to watch show.
Speaker 6 (36:24):
I like George. I like George Springer on.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
THEE we found the One guy.
Speaker 6 (36:29):
Yeah, well, I don't know, you know, I don't even
need to go into the fact that it's it's just
pathetic that people are booing these players eight ten years
down the road.
Speaker 5 (36:39):
Just shut up.
Speaker 6 (36:40):
But it was wrong what they did, but they won
another World Series a couple of years later. Shut up,
and George Springer hasn't been an Astro forever, so whatever,
he's a nice guy.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
I don't even you know what I've said. I don't
even see why. I think it's way too big of
deals made.
Speaker 4 (36:56):
Out of it.
Speaker 6 (36:57):
Well, because I'm an Astros fan and everybody, you know,
most people are listening know it. I'm not going to
sit here and get on my high horse about it.
Speaker 4 (37:04):
I'm not.
Speaker 6 (37:05):
I'm not evangelistic about saying that they didn't do anything wrong.
They did. I don't like what they did. I don't
think it was necessary. They scored more runs and had
better better on offensive statistics on the road when they
didn't do it crushed.
Speaker 5 (37:21):
In La those four games.
Speaker 6 (37:24):
I don't you know anyway, So I have there's a
lot of enjoyable things about this series. There's a couple
of Blue Jays who have really great backstories or are
having incredible postseasons, like Ernie Clement, who's Canadian. So I
think it's cool. I'm I could I could have another
matchup that I would have. You know, I was rooting
(37:45):
the Mariners on big time. I mean I was rooting
for the Mariners against.
Speaker 5 (37:48):
The Jays, and this is the world series everyone thought
we were going to have forty years ago, after like
two games of the LCS Dodgers up two, Oh, J's
up too. Oh here we go, La and Toronto Nope.
I seventy well forty years later, here it is, Yep,
there we go.
Speaker 3 (38:05):
I will say this if if the Dodgers win the
first one, no one's watching.
Speaker 6 (38:11):
Well they still will in Canada. I was reading an
article today about the Shulman's, the father and son who
both do Blue Jays games in different platforms, and one
in six Canadians we're watching the deciding game against the Mariners.
Speaker 5 (38:28):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (38:28):
Audience was almost seven million. Canada has forty one million people.
Speaker 4 (38:33):
Wow. So it's Canada series, is what you're telling me? Right?
Speaker 6 (38:39):
And I think that I think there'll be an incredible
international audience for this series. Also, so would have been
even more with Seattle. But you get one more chance
to watch. Oh, you know the somebody, the greatest player
of all time, when all of a sudden downe he
may be at least in that discussion.
Speaker 5 (38:57):
Why wouldn't you want to watch Showey one more time
he does something like that again.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
Oh my, we got Landslife Weld Kevin Harland coming up next, Danny,
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (39:08):
You welcome.
