Fianna Fáil TD for Carlow-Kilkenny Peter 'Chap' Cleere spoke to Damien on 'Deise Today' this morning (Thursday) about the implementation of road safety measures on the N25 following the public meeting that took place at the Rhu Glenn Hotel last week.
Over 500 people attended the meeting to advocate for stricter road safety measures on the 6.2 km stretch of road between Slieverue and Glenmore.
The hazardous stretch of the N25 has caused numerous life-changing injuries and has claimed the lives of 12 people in the last 20 years.
Deputy Cleere spoke about the necessity of developments to the N25 and the need for strategic long-term planning for the region's road infrastructure.
He also touches on the support and commitment of Kilkenny County Council to the development of Waterford Airport.
