Man brukar säga att ett samhälles värde mäts i hur det behandlar sina mest utsatta. Ser vi på Trumps senaste upprensningar av hemlösa i Washington DC framträder en obehagligt tydlig bild.
Men detta är bara ännu en logisk följd av det mångetniska samhället, där all gemenskap gradvis bryts ner. Och det är inte bara de socialt svagaste som drabbas – hela befolkningen får känna hur repression och övervakning tar allt större plats när makten försöker hålla ihop ett omöjligt projekt.
