T in this edition of Disguise Coverage, going a little
bit off of the beaten path and also tying this
into a bit of a program note. We will be

(01:59):
doing the live postgame episodes of Disguised Coverage following each
of the preseason games, including the one this upcoming Saturday,
and there we will have our normal evaluations, scheme, structure, conversations, analytics,
anything and everything that you have come to expect from
this show and this aspect here on the Cover one channel.

(02:20):
And so with that being said, I thought we'd do
something a little more fun for well, you know, not
more fun. I think that stuff is fun, but a
little different, I should say for the regular Tuesday night edition.
I didn't know if I was going to do a
Tuesday episode and do the postgame episode. I was kind
of weighing some things back and forth, and then I
completely forgot that Hard Knock's debut tonight at nine. So

(02:41):
I thought it would be fun to do a you know,
post game post show reaction to episode one of Hard
Knocks for the Buffalo Bills. So as we go through
this episode, really going to be just several takeaways that
I had from it. I'd love to make this as
interactive as possible, so for those of you joining me
live again. I know this is of a departure an
hour later. It was communicated earlier this evening, but anyone

(03:05):
joining us live questions, thoughts, comments, concerns, biggest takeaways that
you had from episode one of Hard Knocks. What you
thought was missing, something that you thought that they would
maybe cover in the episode that they didn't, something that
you hoped to see but didn't happen, something that you
saw that you wish you hadn't, anything and everything. Feel
free to put it into the chat. I really kind

(03:27):
of just want to gauge, you know, everyone's thoughts on this,
and you know, this is a we talked about it
a bit during the off season here on the show
and even in the film room, but just you know,
this is I think this is a cool thing. You know.
I think a lot of football fans have been watching
Hard Knocks for years, and if you haven't, this is
your first time watching it because you're a Bills fan
and the Bills have never been featured. You know, the

(03:49):
more power to you for this being your first experience
with hard knocks. But you know, as a Bills fan,
it's cool to see them continuing to get more national shine.
And you know, I know what they've been for the
previous parts of you know, their franchise history, but and
what they've been recently. And they mentioned in the episode
the five straight AFC's championships, and you know, we know

(04:10):
they've been to the AFC title game multiple times and
haven't been able to get over a hump. But you know,
I'm still a lot of large part of my Bill's
brain is still stuck in the drought era and not
getting national games, not really getting paid attention to so
to see, you know, what the Bills have been the
past several years, and now getting featured on a show
like this is a cool thing and something that doesn't

(04:32):
come around too often. So yeah, I thought this would
be fun to just kind of basket it, take it
all in and depart and divert a bit from our
regularly scheduled program here on the show again, we will
be doing a live postgame show following the Bills preseason
game for week one, two, and three of the preseason
live immediately following the conclusion of every preseason game. Bang

(04:55):
it here on Disguise coverage for postgame analysis, on competition,
scheme stuff, structure stuff, can't you know, battle stuff, on
the depth chart, anything and everything. We'll be getting into
the you know, regular nitty gritty after each of the
preseason games. But let's talk hard knocks. Let's have some
you know fun with this in with this conversation. Stumbling

(05:16):
all over myself, that should be expected, though. I usually
start to fall apart an hour into the regular Disguis
coverage episodes to start at nine, and we're starting already
an hour later, so I'm probably gonna fall apart a lot.
Let's grab some comments that we already got. Coming in,
Dan says moving to Watertown and happy to report many
and my coworkers are Bills fans. That's a win. Well done.

(05:36):
Zach coming in, uh saying, you know, feel great episode,
but him saying the tray white part of the episode
was amazing. Can't root for that guy more? Yeah? I
you know, I don't really have an order of things
I kind of wanted to speak on in this episode,
but I'll start with this just because Zach, you have
the first comment here. Yeah, I thought the tray piece
was really great. It was nice to see how he

(05:58):
was welcome back, you know within the organization, within the
fan base is granted, I was not that kind of
put a damper on things, but I don't know how
much of this is like staged and people are already
expecting him at Pits for Dairy and so cameras are rolling,
kind of people playing it up a little bit, But
I think a heavy majority of the fan base was
excited to see him come back, even just from a
nostalgia standpoint. And then, like we've talked about on the show,

(06:20):
how well he's done in training camp was cool to see.
And yeah, the pieces within this episode, you know, him
interacting with the kid with the water, him interacting with
Dion Dawkins's children and them kind of knowing that it
was Uncle Trey and him giving them a hug, just
him speaking with Brandon Bean, the things that Trey was
saying on camera, and kind of the talking head interview

(06:40):
moments on the bleachers. But one of the big ones
for me that stuck out, especially in the whole episode,
but especially with regards to Trey him getting that extra
work on the hill running after practice was already done.
I thought it was awesome to see and again, you know,
I want to put it out there just in case
someone wants to Devil's advocate and be like, oh, maybe

(07:01):
he's just doing it because the cameras are rolling, so
on and so forth. But Trey's always been a grinder
and an extremely hard worker. And you know, Eric and
I talked about in the film room a couple of
weeks ago. Actually I don't remember all the episodes kind
of blend together at once, for as much as it
might have been like a nostalgia thing for a lot
of Bills fan seeing Trey White come back and was like, Oh,
that's awesome. The Trey's here, And oh they took Max

(07:22):
Harriston in the first round, so now they got this
rookie corner and Trey is back. Trey can coach this
guy up and be a mentor and help him develop,
because Max is going to be the corner too. You know,
Trey came to the Bills and came to camp ready
to compete. He did not come to just be corner
three or corner four. He came to compete for a
starting job. And if that needed to be drilled into

(07:45):
our brains or reinforced or kind of put on notice
a little bit. Him getting that extra work and grinding
on that hill and doing it in full pads and
getting extra work in. I think it was just another
little nugget to show that, you know, he's here to
win a spot. He didn't come to can see that
spot to Max Harrison, he didn't come here just to
be a mentor or a veteran presence. He came here

(08:07):
to play football and literally play like and make plays
and earn a starting spot on this team opposite of
Christian Benford at CB one. So really cool seeing him
back in a Bill's uniform and interacting in the multitude
of ways. But yeah, that that part of the hill
I really thought was awesome. Just practice is done, getting

(08:28):
some extra work in, and him talking about you know,
he even mentioned it on camera saying, you know, it's
just it's just something to the tune of, you know,
anything you can do to kind of get a step
ahead of the competition, and he's there to compete. He's
there for competition, And I thought that was a great
way to highlight that and highlight him. Really really cool
to see Sophia say, and that was a Bill's Hard
Knocks LoveFest. Yeah, it felt like a really good, just

(08:49):
kind of intro, nice soft, nice, nice soft kind of episode,
welcoming everybody to you know, the Bill's team and Bill's
Mafia and Saint John Fisher. Yeah, it was a bit
of a love fest. I think that's fair to say
Charles A. Dionne is a national treasure. Yeah, I mean
I thought Dion Dawkins would be one of several candidates

(09:11):
who could be a star coming out of Hard Knocks
with how charismatic he is and how entertaining he is,
not to mention how good of a football player he
is and becoming one of the better left tackles in
the league. And yeah, that's just the interactions with him
and his family, you know, the race car stuff at
the track. He's just he's built for stuff like this,
and we've really even seen that too. I think the

(09:31):
past couple of seasons him starting to get more shine
nationally and he gets brought onto like you know, Good
Morning Football and different shows like that to really showcase
his personality and his charisma. And again it helps that
he's pretty good at football. And I'm saying he loved it.
Pretty clear that buffa Bill's pr had some input. I
think that's probably fair to say. I think that's fair

(09:53):
to say, Lauren, what's up, Lauren? Lauren says Josh Allen
highlights say less. Yeah, there was a and I mean
guy understandable but heavy, heavy, Josh Allen focused. I think
the run time for this episode is fifteen minutes. I
wonder what like the over under on Josh Allen's screen
time was or Josh Allen focus again understandably so, but yeah,
Josh Allen got a ton the opening segment, very like

(10:16):
the very first opening clip, the opening segment, face time
through out. Yeah, he was a heavy, heavy focal point.
I'm also interested to kind of see in that as
we go forward, like do these guys continue, you know,
do they pivot at all for episode two and three
and so on and so forth? Is it, you know,
how much stays of a focus, how much of a
focus stays on Allen and Dion and Trey? You know,

(10:37):
do we get more James Cook coverage in episode two,
especially depending on how this whole hold In situation drags out,
Do we get some key on Coleman, do we get
anyone else? Or do they kind of the main characters
that they highlighted in this episode. How much does it stay? Obviously,
I feel like Allen's a pretty good bet, you know,
just to continue out with that, Betray as well Dion
as well. But do they pivot how much? So? James saying,

(10:59):
got to try the Tray ice cream Sunday. Yeah, the
cookie with the ice cream and the fudge. I was
super jealous of everybody who lives in Rochester seeing them
go right to the Pittsford Dairy stuff. I love Pittsford Dairy.
The chocolate milk in and of itself. They have it
here locally at Wegmans in Buffalo, which is awesome, But
the chocolate milk, the ice cream, the milkshakes man that

(11:20):
would watching him make making the dirt with with the
oreos and chopping it all up, was super super jealous.
The Tray ice cream fundy did look good. I will
say that. Steve says they may have staged it, but
I bet a one pie pizza they would have reacted
well even without it. I'm always down to better one

(11:41):
pi pizza, especially if it leads to me getting a
one pie pizza. No. Gordon says, it seems like the
coaches aren't expecting much out of Trey. That surprised me.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
I don't think that it's necessarily that they aren't expecting
much out of Trey. I think it's them seeing him
be rejuvenated. Didn't even McDermott said it and being said
it in different points, you know, him being back home
and with his family and being healthy. McDermott when he
was talking to Bogoula talking about like the past you know,
year or so, he's been trending this way in his
health and he hasn't had any setbacks. I think it's

(12:14):
more them just being happy that he looks healthy, that
he feels healthy mentally and physically, and he looks good
out there. Like I mentioned it in Camp a bunch
and we saw it reflected in several of the clips
with him in coverage and being talked up and applauded
by I think it was called Joseph and Die, the

(12:34):
DB's coach, just talking about yeah Tee White. I feel
like I will hear that it echoed in my brain
for forever, him just yell the T White over and
over and over for what he was doing in coverage
and what he was doing and being assignment sound making
plays on the ball. I just I don't necessarily think
it wasn't that they weren't. To me, it didn't seem
like the coaches aren't expecting much out of him. I

(12:55):
think it was just they're really happy to have him
back as like a person, as a player, and seeing
him be happy to be back and look rejuvenated physically
and mentally and spiritually and everything. Yeah, I think that's
pretty awesome. Yeah, David echo in the uh uh oh
David saying I grew up going to Pittsford. Darry was
super cool to see. Yeah, I thought that was super
funny like that. I appreciate Gordon Gordon saying, make sure

(13:17):
y'all like in the video, yes likes of the lifeblood
of these streams. If you have not already, please please
please and thank you drop ake on this video here
on YouTube. It goes as sincerely long way to telling
myself and the entire team here cover one of track
and trend in front of more eyes and ears. Good
piece from Ryan here calling out kJ Hamler on the
kids scooter. Yeah, I felt bad for him. Wasn't getting
it rolling and then he started to like kickstarted a
little bit and get himself going, and then it started

(13:38):
to roll through. I didn't realize how much the scooters
were there for everyone, Like I didn't realize that like
everybody was rolling deep. And then you know, the riding
dirty soundtrack to go with it by a Millionaire was fantastic.
Interesting note hear from Charles saying zero fon Coleman in
the first episode that feels intentional. I do think it

(13:59):
kind of wasn't intentional, and I wonder why and how
so he was another one up there with Dawkins. I
don't think there would be any surprise, Like I think
if we were ranking like most charismatic bills, Keon's right
up there with Dion Dawkins. And how much of a
character he is and how fun and kind of enigmatic
that he is. I thought he would be one of

(14:21):
the candidates to come out as a big star from
Hard Knocks. But yeah, no real shine early on in
Hard Knock. So it'll be interesting to see what we get.
Eric saying so happy I still have my trade jersey
for this upcoming year. That's smart. You gotta keep them
in the closet. You never know when you might need
to dust them off again. David saying Trey White's legs
are just as skinny as mine and I work out too. Yeah,

(14:41):
that was funny. I think check Thompson what told Trey
and Max harriston bowl and they both do have skinny legs.
That was funny. Gordon saying was surprised it didn't highlight
many injuries. I think that's fair. I wondered if they
would touch on that a bit or maybe that's something
kind of leading in more into the second episode. But yeah,
considering how many injury there have been for the Bills
team and the significance of them, I thought it would

(15:05):
be covered a little bit. But we'll see James saying
loving the dice hanging out of Deonce Helmey. Yeah, all
the different stuff he has on his corn rows to
kind of wrap him at the back. I thought that
was sweet. Clifford saying, Anthony, what are your scooter skills?

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Like?

Speaker 1 (15:18):
I don't have scooter skills. I think I I've ridden
an electric scooter and that's fine. I think I maybe
wrote a razor scooter once when I was little, but
scooters have never really been my thing. But to each
their own. Good call here from Laura and Lauren saying,
haven't really gotten the camp bodies fighting for a roster spot.

(15:39):
Can't wait to see who they do end up following. Yeah,
especially as you start to get into the preseason and
even the wide receiver spots, like I'm wondering who they
start to cover there. Do they start to focus more
on the CB room, Is it the linebackers, is the
defensive line, like there's some interesting battles or did they
highlight anything with Cole Bishop trying to solidify himself the

(16:00):
safety spot and then getting hurt who steps into his spot?
You know, I think that'll be really interesting. You know,
it's funny too when I was talking with my wife
about how more intense Hard Knocks used to be when
when the training camp cut down rules were different, you
had to cut down more people after each preseason game
than you do now, And how each Hard Knocks episode

(16:22):
was so stressful because they follow you know, as you know,
like that and a lot of people, like the handful
of those you know, rookies or udfa's or anybody kind
at the bottom of the depth chart trying to make
the team, and you knew that after every preseason game
there were gonna be like significant amount of cuts and
those episodes where you know, whoever it was from the team,
like team manager or whatever, had to go and knock

(16:43):
on somebody's dorm and be like, yeah, like coach wants
to see you, like bring your playbook, and you just knew, like, oh,
like that's like the death sentence for that dude, and
you develop it, you'd like you'd like him as if
you're watching a show or a movie, you'd feel goot
it that like some dude was about to get cut
who you watched for several episodes or you know, got
attached to earlier in the episode. And yeah, it's a
little different now with how the training camp cut down

(17:03):
rules are different in the preseason, but yeah, there's gonna
be some competition on this bills Forster, especially with all
the injuries, it's kind of created a vacuum that someone's
gonna be able to have the opportunity to seize. So
I'm very interested to see what happens there. Good call
lorn Eric saying wonder if the Kyrone deal with La
makes a deal with Cook more likely. I think it depends,

(17:23):
you know, not to get into too much of like
real football and scheme stuff here. But yeah, what's interesting
with Kyrien Williams is that I you know, Cook is
a better runner, much more juice. Kyn Williams gives you
the opportunity to see more snaps, and he's on the
field board just because he's you know, an adequate runner,
an adequate pass catcher, and a good pass protector as

(17:46):
a running back, So he's good enough to get the
job done and give you quality snaps as a runner,
as a pass catcher, and as a blocker. So it's
interesting because I feel like with the ball in his hands,
Cook is much better than Kyron Willims. But Kyron gives
you more snaps and more usage in a variety of ways. Granted,

(18:09):
his highest highs probably aren't as high as Cooks, but
his lowest lows aren't as low either. Cook. You know,
we're still kind of waiting on that past protection aspect
in terms of him solidifying it and becoming more consistent,
whereas Kyraen's already there and one of the better pass
protecting backs in the league, again in addition to being
you know, fine as a runner and fine as a
pass catcher. So it's interesting how you know that contract

(18:31):
for a guy who's gotten a lot of work in
the RAMS offense in a variety of ways, versus a
guy who will see less snap share but maybe provides
more high end production, depending on how you view that.
I'm very interested to see. And again I find the
timing hilariously ironic that Kyroen's deal happened today right in
the midst of all this, or maybe not hilariously ironic,

(18:53):
depending on what side you're on there. Yeah, he's Lauren
with a good quote here when they're in the stadium
talking about the beer gar and everything in the new stadium.
New Stadium looks awesome on the inside, by the way,
even even seeing it last week in person, I went
to the Blue and Red scrimmage. Yeah, it just looks
like a giant alien ship. Like I don't mean that
a bad way, it's just crazy. It's just crazy to
like walk out of you know, Rich Stadium or high

(19:17):
Mark Stadium and like you just see this. I don't know,
it feels like the Death Star is like right there
in front of you, like it's it's it's crazy to
see that. And it was cool to see them get
some inside footage in this one and all the different
aspects and yeah, them talking about the beer garden, and yeah,
bills fans drink beer. And I think the one construction
dude was like, Oh, we're gonna try to get him
to drink it by putting these things in here. I

(19:38):
thought that was really funny. Charles sat I was really
hoping to hear more about thermone dynamics from Teria Google. Actually,
and this might just be me because I haven't done
a ton of like I haven't been two into like
following along with the stadium. I know some people have
been like, you know, here's week two, here's week three up,
the walls are up up, this is up, and you

(19:58):
know the specific of it. But I did think it
was cool, all jokes aside, like with Terry Pagoula talking
about like we scienced the hell out of it. When
it came to the wind stuff, I thought it was
cool with them talking about the wind control elements to
the new stadium and like the perforations that they have
because if not, the wind would go over and just
be sucked right down into the stadium. And then even

(20:21):
Alan asking I don't know, like the general contractor or
whoever it was that he was kind of talking to
and kind of running the show there for the tour.
When Alan asked, like, how much wind they'll feel in
there on the field, and the guy said, quote, very little.
He was like, we've been in here, you know, when
it's been howling outside, we haven't felt anything. I thought
that was an interesting little tidbit. And I don't know

(20:41):
if that's something that was widely known amongst all the fans,
especially those who have been kind of keeping tabs on
the stadium development, but I thought that was really interesting,
especially for how many people have talked about open air,
open stadium and having a dome and the wind being
a factor, and you know, put Allen in a dome
so we can throw better. I think it's interesting that
they have an open air stadium with specific, you know,

(21:02):
science specifications to limit the impact of wind, just based
on how they built it, the direction they built it,
the perforations, all that stuff. All jokes aside. I did
think that was pretty cool, and that was one of
my points actually tanking in just saying in this house,
we follow the laws of thermodynamics. I love it. That's
very fair. Oh and Eric saying thanks for the response.

(21:22):
Didn't know about Kyen's pass blacking ability. Yeah, no, thank
you for being here. I thank you for the question. Yeah,
Kyne's a good a good pass profector. And again that's
the thing, right like you've got if you're just breaking
up into three silos, right like runner, pass catcher, blocker
or pass blocker. More specifically, Cook beats him as a runner.

(21:43):
I think he beats him as a pass catcher, but
then he's not deficient. Yeah, I don't want to say vulnerable.
Vulnerability is probably worse. He's more deficient as a pass
blocker than he is anything, and Kyne is a plus
in that regard. So I feel like as a runner,
Kiren's like middling to I would say above middling. Same
thing as a pass catcher, but then he's towards the

(22:04):
tops as a pass protector, where Cook is, you know,
towards the tops as you know, a runner, little less
than that as a pass catcher, but then significantly lower
as a run blocker. So it's interesting to see how
all those things kind of great out what you're paying for,
snapshare usage rate, all that kind of stuff. Very interesting.
What else? He more comments comeing Eric saying how about

(22:28):
Josh explaining gravity to the offensive line? Neil de Grassei
and it would be proud. Yeah, that was very interesting
with him talking about Galileo and gravity and you know,
heaviness versus that I saw that I think in a
clip on social last week or maybe this week. I
thought that was funny. That was also one of those
ones that I wanted to know, like did he did

(22:49):
he prep that for that day? Because even I forget
who answered him in the huddle talking about like the
the rate of like he who said like, oh, negative
nine point eight one, and Alim was like no, not negative,
but this, and he was like meters and someone was
like squared or whatever the formula or answer was. I
wanted to know how much of that was them like
googling things that the morning of or the night before
being like hey, like tomorrow on camera, or hey I'm

(23:11):
miked up tomorrow, we're gonna put this out there, or
maybe that's just how they talk all the time. It's
those little nuggets that I think are interesting and fun
kind of what you hear in the huddles and in practices.
They're just dudes talking about dudes like that might be
their version of the Roman Empire. For Yeah, I thought
that was pretty funny and cool too. A couple of
little things too. Again, feel free, everybody can. Oh, I

(23:33):
still have the intro on because you know, probably switch
that banner because we've been talking about hard knocks for
a good chunk of time. I just never switched the banners.
I went right to comments. Keep putting those comments in there. Again,
I want to make this as interactive as possible. I've
got some notes and things myself that I'm literally like
ticking off as we have spoken throughout this episode, and
you guys are bringing up stuff in the chat. Zach

(23:56):
says being looks great in shades and yeah, especially when
he pairs the shades with a suit. It's very like
James Bond esque, you know, especially for a GMB. I
pulls it up. Well, could calls that good call. Yeah, Questions, thoughts, comments, concerns, likes,
dislikes from this episode. Again, I just want to make
this as interactive as possible. So yeah, anything he got,
keep throwing it up into the chat. One thing that

(24:17):
I did think that was great. It was arguably my
favorite thing from this episode. Granted it came kind of
for a negative the Max Hairston injury, but then after
that Christian Benford kind of pulling him for a prayer
and asking him, and I just thought, you know, him

(24:37):
pulling him and Harriston was clearly upset, and he kind
of put his head on his shoulder and he prayed
with him and prayed for him. I thought it was
just a really cool thing to see from Benford, especially
for a guy like Benford, who is an ascending player,
one of the best bills on the team, becoming one
of the better cornerbacks in the entire NFL, and somebody

(24:58):
that is I think all we're all pretty quiet, Like
in terms of a player. You don't hear him a
ton in like postgame pressers, and you don't hear much
from him as a player other than like he's on
the team, does not get any media attention nationally. Wasn't
even an honorable mention or guy that got put on
the list in that ESPN you know, ranking of the
top ten corners from NFL executives and scouts and all that.

(25:21):
You don't really hear, you know, a peep out of
Christian Benford. He's very much a Milford man like bike
Buster interested development. If anybody understood that reference or that
Easter egg we're right here, and I appreciate you so
much for that, But yeah, you don't really hear much
from him, and I thought it was really cool to
see him, you know, trying to, you know, boost Max's

(25:45):
spirits or just comfort him a little bit. I also
thought I just thought that showed leadership and compassion. And again,
he's one of the best players on this team. He's
becoming one of the better players at his position in
the league, and he's tremendously physical and violent as a player,
and it was just cool to see that leadership and
that compassion show in that moment, especially at least for

(26:06):
me from a guy who, Yeah, you know, I don't
really hear much about Benford or see much about Benford.
I think he's just a quiet guy who's very about
his business. That's one of the things I like about him.
He's just show up, do a good job, go home,
Show up again, do a good job, go home. I
think he goes about the game the right way from
everything I've seen. It was cool just to see, you know,
that moment in him be a leader for that group

(26:29):
and be a leader for Max and again show that compassion.
I really thought that was awesome. That was arguably not
even arguably. Probably that and that and Trey doing the
hills after practice were probably my two favorite things about
this episode, with the Benford thing being one. I thought that.
I thought that was super cool and really nice to
see Charles saying maybe it's just me, but Josh Palm

(26:52):
would look smaller than he does on film in person.
I think he looked, especially in pad. I think he
was close. But yeah, I think he maybe trimmed down
a little bit. But that's fair, that might be fair. Oh,
good call from Laura and saying, hope we get to
see Rookie Talent Night in a future episode. I forgot
about Rookie Talent Night. I'm sure we'll see. I would

(27:12):
like to see Rookie Talent Night, and I would really
love to see them get some camera footage of the
guys playing Catan, like that board game that they all
play and how intense it gets. I would really love
to see some of that. So I also assume we'll
see more of them really leaning into the Allen like
camaraderie thing and what he loves about camp and guys

(27:33):
bonding and developing a rapport and relationship. I'm assuming they're
going to show more of that, Like we got a
little bit, you know, with Trey and Benford going to
Pittsford Dairy together, but it ended up becoming more about
Trey and the whole Sunday thing. So yeah, I wonder
what we start to get, you know, if we get
more of the camaraderie pieces like the Rookie Talent Night
or anything that they're showing them, like the high jinks

(27:54):
in you know, the dorms, anything like that. But yeah,
I would we just seem to see something that's a
good call. I forgot about Rookie Tall and go call
a couple of little things too, is you know, you
guys potentially throw some more stuff into the chat. I
like the little stat poll at the very beginning of
the episode that Hard Knocks talked about where the Bills
are one of five teams in the NFL to still
use a college for training camp. I guess I hadn't

(28:16):
really thought of that, and even just training camps in general,
like how some teams kind of travel out to do it,
some teams stay local, you know, some teams just do
it indoors and in their building a facility, like the
Cardinals do. I also remember years ago when it was
under Jack del Rio still for the Jags, when back
when two days were still a thing. But the Jags

(28:37):
would practice like at night because they needed to practice
when the sun would go down because it was too
hot during the day to have practice during the day
because that's how intense the heat was in Jacksonville at
the time or all the time. Those little nuggets that
think are always cool. But yeah, the Bills being one
of five teams to still use a college or training camp,
I thought was interesting. The Allen camaraderie pieces we talked about. Oh,
I also like the little nuggets that we see in

(28:59):
the big getting kind of like what guys bring or
what guys focus on. And two of them stood out
to me and Taron Johnson would just be my spirit animal,
like essentially making sure that there's like he's got good
toilet paper there, like toilet trees. Would I think you're
just such a focus like staying anywhere or traveling anywhere.
And I think it's funny that he racked up on
his own, like whether with better quality or cleaner toilet paper, whatever,

(29:23):
And he pulled out the role that was on there
and he was like this won't do Like I thought
that was funny. And then uh kJ Hamler with the
pregnancy pillow. It's important to get good rest, and I
respect his dedication and commitment to that by having that
giant pregnancy pillow. That was huge. Also, this I thought
was kind of funny but also awful. Not well, the

(29:46):
aj have Vanessa thing with the python. He's out there
like bare hand catching eleven foot pythons in I think
of the everglades are down in Florida somewhere, which you know,
respect to you, I guess, but also like way too
much camera time for the snake and everything that happened
with And also I wanted to know, like what what

(30:06):
was going to happen after they caught it? Like Ajbanessa
mentioned something of like because I think the duke cutting
his hair or whatever, was like, oh did you guys
like eat it or say something? But he was like, oh, well,
like they're invasive down there, and I want to know,
like did they release it back into the wild? Did
they catch it and kill it? Like I just I
have a lot of questions around that. But that kid,

(30:29):
that snake got a lot of camera time, and I'm
not I'm not a fan of snakes, but respect to
him for I don't know, just going out there and
bare hand catching an eleven foot python, which sounds absolutely
terrifying to me and I would never yeah at but
sweet and hopefully that gives more confidence to kind of
just mal dudes as an edge And yeah, I don't know,

(30:52):
I don't know. Yeah, Charles, that's my figure. When he
was like, all they're invasively, I figured, like, yeah, that
that snake probably met its end. Unfortunate for that snake. Amore.
He says the snake is the main character for the
next four episodes. Yeah, can the snake? Can the python
you know, make the roster? You know, can he you know,

(31:12):
kind of battle for a spot? What does he look
like in the preseason? Oh? Okay, all right, thank you,
appreciate everybody. Everybody's coming through. Okay, very fair. Shane says
they catch and kill pythons, Okay, spend saying I think
you can make money getting rid of pythons in Florida.
I'm assuming that's tied to their invasive aspect. This is
also whether or not it's accurate or not. This is

(31:33):
also very much making me think of wedding crashers. And
Bradley Cooper talking about how the quails are overpopulated in
this area and decimating the grub war population. After Vincewan
calls him out and he's like, oh, mister environmental, this
is also a hunter. Yeah, they were populating this area, Jeremy,
and their decimated the grub war population. That's what I
kind of thought of with the whole snake thing. I

(31:54):
was like, is this like the Florida equivalent of you know,
these these quails and Maryland or wherever they were in
wedding grashers. Yeah, very fair. Well, it's been saying most
likely they kill the snakes they catch. Damn, this got intense.
This took a tark turn, but fair. I appreciate everybody
kind of following them through in the comments. I kind
of figured that was James says, he'll squeeze the talent

(32:16):
out of the bills. Python is a constrictor. That's very fair.
I appreciate everybody's responsiveness there, but I kind of knew
it in the back of my mind. I didn't want
to know it, but I figured I confirm it kind
of ripped the band aid off. A cool quote that
I thought was good from Sean McDermott, and also very
on brand from Sean McDermott saying you have to fail
in order to become the best that you can become.

(32:38):
He said that the auditorium before the first day of practice.
I thought it was a good quote and very apropos
you know, you know, learn from your failures, get better,
so on and so forth, but also just super on
the nose and on brand for who Sean McDermott is,
what Sean McDermott is. I thought that was you know,
very very well done, especially with them kind of using
that to lead into the first practice. Also within you know,

(32:59):
these early practice pieces, I like them highlighting the Josh
Allen and Josh Palmer, the Josh's report building and chemistry building.
I talked about this on the Film Room. I talked
about this here on this Guy's coverage. They were just
especially those first several days at camp, staying after working
with one another, talking to one another, Joe Brady talking

(33:21):
to Josh Palmer, and everything was about you know, you
could see just from body language and conversation that it
was you know, Palmer talking about like you know, hey,
I'm gonna release off the line like this, I'm gonna
stem my route like this, I'm gonna hit the brake
like this, and then Alan talking about, you know, when
he likes to throw the ball where he's trying to
put it. You can kind of see all that during camp.

(33:43):
I put out a bunch of posts and tweets about
it and talked about it on shows, and it was
cool to see that reflected in the episode and actually
being able to hear what they're doing, what they're going over,
and being able to confirm those things. And it's cool
to see the little pieces that you pick up while
at camp, no knowing or not knowing I should say
that those things are being filmed and then we'll be

(34:05):
talked about later on this TV show, the cool little
connections and piece they're also cool little connection. Something I've
talked about a bunch on the show. Something Eric and
I have talked about a bunch on the film room.
We talked about the disconnect within the Bills defense between
rush and coverage. So Bobby Babbage being in the defensive

(34:26):
film room and saying, quote, our rush and coverage have
to work together end quote. You know I used to
pray for times like this. I tweeted that out earlier.
I'm saying it again because I think it's important, and
I know that may sound like, oh, of course, like
your rush and your coverage should be like should work together,
they should be married. Like that makes sense. It does

(34:46):
make sense. It didn't happen a lot for the Bills
last year. A lot of their playoff failures have come
down to on the defensive side of the ball, I
should say, have come down to a lack of cohesion
and marriage between their rush and their coverage aspects. There
are coverage pieces schemes I should say, you know, guys
get pressure, but the ball's coming out in one and

(35:08):
a half or two seconds because the coverage is too
soft on the back end. And then the coverage is good,
but then there's no pressure and nobody's getting home and
nobody's doing anything. And that disconnect has reared its ugly
head in the playoffs for years with this Bill's defense,
and it was one of the main struggle points or
pain points I should say, when it came to how

(35:29):
bad the Bill's defense was on third down last year,
and especially with how bad they were on third and long,
which is third and seven, or more so, him saying
that was a major hard knocks Bengal for me literally
saying the exact thing that I've talked about on the
show that Eric and I have talked about on the
film that we wanted to see. I've spoken about it
so much on social him saying literally, quote, our rush

(35:50):
and coverage have to work together close quote. And then
that kind of was like gloss overuse. He was talking
about like, you know, don't hit seventeen talking about Josh Allen.
You know he's the guy that makes things go. We
don't hit him, ye yatta the need they need to
improve in that area as a defense in order to
get further farther in the playoffs, but also to not
be so awful on third down. So I was very

(36:11):
excited to hear him say that. Lauren saying Bobby Babbage
watching Disguy's coverage with the question mark an exclamation point. Probably,
I mean, who's not is the better question isn't is
Bobby Babbage watching Disguy's coverage? The better question is who
isn't watching Disguy's coverage? But like where your head's at? Oh,
good question from James. James says, do you think the

(36:33):
episode was in the can? Before James Cook sat in
I was wondering that throughout the whole episode, or or
I wonder if because also things too. I mean, I
have no idea how to like produce a show, but
I wonder if it's all tied to like also like
how much content they have for the next episode already

(36:54):
or what they're planning, because you're essentially kind of storyboarding
it as you go. So I mean, we're siting here
on Tuesday, August fifth. They ended with the scrimmage, which
was on what Friday, August first, So really up until
this episode tonight, you've got Saturday, which was an off day,

(37:14):
then you've got you've got Monday practice, and then I
believe they practiced today, so you know, you've only got
a couple of days you're still trying to storyboard and
build everything out. I think I think it was somewhat
due to the episode already being in the can. My
thought is more of them. I think they're gonna lean
into the contract holden piece for episode two. Whether by

(37:38):
the time episode two airs he's still in a holding
or he's signed a new deal, or he's you know,
practicing whatever. I think that's going to be the lead
in and focus for episode two. Like that contract piece,
I'm thinking maybe they got footage of him talking to
what is it, Elana Getzenberg from ESPN, who you know,
asked him, you know, how came we not practicing? He

(38:00):
was like all business, business and he said business like
over and over again or whatever. Maybe they got footage
of that. I'm thinking that's going to be a focal
point for episode two. That's my thought right now. John
says McDermott is adding all the episodes now. I don't
think so, No, but yeah, good question, James. I think

(38:22):
it was somewhat the episode was in the can again.
I don't know when they finish. You know, episode came
out tonight at nine, do they upload everything on Sundays, Mondays? Whatever?
But I do think episode two it's going to be
a focal point on James Cook and the contract situation again,
whether he signs a new deal, whether he's still holding in,
or whether he hasn't gotten a new deal but he's practicing.
I think he and his situation is going to be

(38:44):
a focal point in that second episode. And I also
wonder too maybe someone from HBO got his or his
agency here and was like, hey man, we need some
more content, could you like not practice that would really
be great. Also another piece that I found interesting. I
talked about it, and again I keep saying these things,
but I talking one on the show. Within camp, Trey
has looked super good in Camp. Max Harston has had

(39:07):
some nice moments, but he's had some high highs kind
of coupled with some of the low lows in terms
of lapses and learning experiences on the flying time on task,
which again should be expected. But I thought it was
interesting with Sean McDermott, you know, with talking to Terry
Terry Pagoula and talking about Harriston and saying, you know,
it'll be interesting to see him compete, specifically mentioning Trey.

(39:28):
You know that. I I guess this is probably foolish
on my part in retrospect, but I kind of just
I thought Hairston. I thought the CB two job was
Hairston's to lose. I thought he would, you know, compete
quote unquote with Tray, and I thought Trey would want
to come in and earn that spot and beat out

(39:48):
Harston for it. And we've seen that and it's rightfully understandable,
but just where I thought Trey was at and what
I thought they needed from Hairston. I thought it was
more of Harriston's job to lose, then it was him
beating out Trey. But Trey has gotten the Lion's share
us even before Harriston's injury. Tray has gotten the Lion's
share of snaps at CB two and then obviously more

(40:09):
so once Harriston went down. But I just wasn't expecting
Trey to look as good as he has in camp
and has he's done throughout camp in a variety of
coverages against a variety of dudes. And so him earning
that was again a surprise, I think, somewhat to me.
But you'll hear McDermott already talking about you know, it'll

(40:34):
be interesting to see him compete and everything kind of again,
I think he was cognizant of what he's saying and
how he's saying it. And they're always very particular about,
you know, everybody earning their spot. But McDermott highlighting that
right out of the gate, you know, it'll be interesting
to see him compete, talked about it in general, but
also talked about him, you know, competing with Tray in particular,
and again like I've said throughout since camp, since I've

(40:56):
been at camp, tweeting it and posting it and talking
about it, talking about it in episodes. This Harrison going
down obviously helps Trey lock up the CB two job,
but it was already trending in that direction before Harriston
went down. They I would say it was probably like
sixty forty you know, snaps at CB with the ones

(41:18):
in favor of Trey on day one, maybe a little
less on day two, but then by day four it
was probably seventy thirty or maybe even eighty twenty, Like
Trey was getting more and more work with the ones
as that starting corner opposite of Christian Benford. So it's
very unfortunate that that injury happened to Harriston, especially, you know,
even if he's not going to be CB two, you

(41:38):
want him to get as much reps in practice as
you can and in camp and in the preseason as possible.
You figured he was gonna get a lot of burn
in the preseason games. But I don't think his injury. Again,
you never know what can happen. You know, I'm not
speaking in absolutes here, but I do think Tray was
already trending towards CB two. Hairston went down, So I

(42:02):
don't think this if Tray starts week one, I don't
think it's all well because Harston went down A looked
like he already had a strong grasp on that job already.
And no, that doesn't mean that Trey sucks or Harston
sucks or Hairston sucks, because Trey is cooked and washed
and YadA YadA. Again, Trey has looked good, which is
again a testament to how hard he works and where

(42:23):
he's at as a player mentally and physically. Lawn says
liv Schreiber does his recordings on Sunday night, Monday morning
at the latest per article on Oh the Democrat and
Chronicle out of Rochester. Interesting copy. Oh interesting, So that's fair.
That makes kind of sense, wrap it up the end
of the week and kind of get it through. I
didn't know how close it was to like a South
Park situation where they're still submitting everything like the day of,

(42:46):
like Wednesday morning to the FCC in order to get
that episode cleared and played that night at ten o'clock.
Spen saying yep, Spen saying, Trey white with CB two
before Harston got hurt. That's fair Josh saying, I think
they tried to keep it simple Alan Dawkins Trey, where
the main characters introduce more of the roster as it goes,
only have so much time. I think that's a very

(43:07):
fair thought and a very fair point. And I'm interested
to see kind of who they start to gravitate towards
and how Again, i think Cook's going to be a
major focal point for episode two, especially with them not
even mentioning it in episode one. That makes me think
it'll be a major focal point for episode two. And
then we'll see who else is a focal point. Maybe
it's Cook and Coleman or someone else, or maybe they

(43:28):
keep bringing back these main characters. I think that's very fair, Josh.
And it's a cohesive, storyboarded show. It's not the stream
of consciousness and NonStop news we're accustomed too on Twitter.
Oh No, one thousand percent. I just want to know.
I'm wondering what the timeline is of that storyboard and
kind of how they put it together and when when
is an episode cut off versus what do they try

(43:49):
to squeeze in? And he also too, like I guess
that's where like everybody earns their money really understanding. You
know what, No, we can stop here, even if something
great happens tomorrow or the next day. We've got enough
for this episode. Let's wrap it and kind of go
from there. Let's put that other stuff that might happen
in the next days and then the next episode kind
of figuring out again. That's where you know, show running

(44:11):
comes into play. Josh with another comments saying, as long
as Trey and Harriston are an upgrade over Rasoul Douglas,
it's an upgrade. Simple. I think that's a fair point. Yeah,
Swell fell off last year the disappointedly, so I wasn't
expecting that type of fallof from Rasoul. But yeah, we've
noted a bunch here on the show and in the

(44:32):
film room. And yeah, the mileage on the tires was
really starting to show for him at at that point
last year. So I think that's a fair point with
Trey and Harriston. But yeah, overall, and again, feel free
to everybody here continue to throw comments, questions, thoughts, concerns,
everything and anything into the chat as we go forward here.
But yeah, I thought this was a really nice table

(44:56):
setting episode. I don't think there was anything to in
insightful or secretive or like, wow, they really gave us
a good peak behind the curtain. Thought it was very
kind of baseline. Let's set things up and see where
they go from here. I'm interested to see where they
go forward because so many of the conversation, so much
of the conversation this offseason has been around like you know,

(45:18):
the Bills being on Hard Knocks is interesting because the
Bills are such a tight lipped kind of organization with
how they operate and what they do. So them being
on the show, all these cameras being able to kind
of see behind the curtain, how much are they gonna
let us see behind the curtain and where and how
and all that kind of stuff. So I'm very interested

(45:38):
to see if what we had in this first episode
was it really just the annoying introduction and a table
setter and a baseline, or is this the level of
insight that we get within each episode? How much are
they really letting us peel layers back or be able
to see and peak behind the curtain. I think the
James Cook aspect again is going to be interesting, Like

(45:59):
you have a holden how much do they cover that,
how do they cover that as well? You know, what
do they say when they talk to Cook? Do they
get cook on? Are they talking McDermott or Bean and
you know any of the other players, Like how much
is really focused upon how do they spin it? You know,
as a production crew and as a show, I think

(46:20):
that'll be a really a really good barometer and kind
of litmus test for the peaks behind the curtain that
we're going to see in this season for the Bills,
because yeah, some some franchises are much more forthcoming than
others when it comes to, you know, letting you kind
of see under the hood a little bit. And some
coaches are very much fans of camera time and letting

(46:44):
themselves be seen and letting their process be seen and
their team be seen. And I don't think Sean McDermott
is one of those guys, and I don't think Brandon
Bean is one of those guys. So it'll be very
interesting to see what we get going forward with the
rest of Hard Knocks in terms of how much was
episode one just the table setter versus oh no, this
is how it's going to be, and it is more

(47:05):
lovy and fluff and pieces like that, and again we
have to see what storylines happen, right, like, what happens
going into week one of the preseason upcoming this weekend,
what happens in that game, what happens coming out of it? Again,
the cook piece, a lot of potential storylines there, and
I'm interested to see how much HBO pokes and prods
at those storylines, peels back the layers, how much the

(47:25):
Bills kind of acquiesced to that and give in and
play along with her? Do they play hardball? It'll be
really good at Connor. With another Yeah, I think kJ
Hammler on the mini scooter was a huge highlight for
a lot of folks. Based on the chat here, I
would imagine it was a good highlight in general for
a lot of folks. It was just funny. Man, poor
dude that hit that and the pregnancy pillow for him

(47:45):
really stuck in my brain. But yeah, I thought this
was a good episode, a fun episode. Ooh, Laurence and
curious to see if Hayley makes an appearance not just
red carpet clips. I think that's a fair question. She's
also one too that I don't see, Like, I don't
even know if they again. I'm also not like a
social media person or like their lives type of deal like,

(48:07):
but do they like does she live here like they
live here? She lives here, I'm assuming. I know he
built like hours or something like. So, I wonder how
much she's really around Buffalo, how much he's around training camp,
how much she kind of tries to keep low key,
if she even can. She does seem kind of like
a low key person is by the fact that she's
super famous. But yeah, that'll be interesting. I wonder if

(48:27):
they'll get her on at some point, maybe just a
little camera time, a little show with something very fair,
very fair question. You've done great this episode, Lauren, A
lot of good questions and good thoughts, as always as
you are one to do. Uh oh yeah, uh yeah, No,
bone's about saying you. The nod that Hamdler gave Davis
was a who. Yeah, I didn't know who he gave
the nod to when he was low on the scooter
and he looked and kind of noded. I didn't see

(48:48):
who it was, but the nod got me. I thought
that was good. And then they wide shotted it of
everybody kind of riding through campus. I thought that was good. Yeah,
Curtis saying cut day will be a tough watch. Absolutely,
they always are. Not as many cut days now because
everything's kind of bulked into one at the end of
the preseason, but yeah, cut days those were always the worst.
I would I hated those in hard knocks. I was

(49:10):
talking about it earlier. You know, when you get that
get the team manager, equipment guy, whoever it was, We're
going to knock on someone's door and just yeah, coach
wants to speak to you, bring your playbook, and you
just knew that, damn, like dude's about to get cut again.
That's it sucks to see anybody lose their job and
to have it play out in front of folks, and

(49:31):
then even too for like the coach to have to
cut a guy and somely fire a guy on camera.
It's just tough all around and uncomfortable all around for
the for the player, for the coach, for the viewer. Like, yeah,
cut day always sucks. I I don't want to see that.
I mean, it's cool to get again the peak behind

(49:53):
the curtain, but that kind of peak I'm already stressing it.
It makes me anxious and yeah, uncomfortable. But you know
what doesn't make me anxious and uncomfortable. The best pizza
in Buffalo, New York. One Pie Pizza. I don't say
they're the best pizza in Buffalo, New York because they
sponsor the show. They sponsor the show because I think
they are the best pizza in Buffalo, New York. Great

(50:15):
sweet sauce, pie cup and chart pepperoni, homemade blue cheese.
A catering division with a whole bunch of delicious dishes.
I've had them cater multiple events in the past couple
of years. They have all these different kinds of mac
and cheeses that are all just banging. They have this
one I tell myself to get it every time, but
it's on them. It's this like coconut rice and chicken

(50:36):
dish that was super good. One Pie also does a
breakfast pizza that's super good. Their food bangs in a
multitude of ways for One Pipe Pizza and for the
catering division, Elevated Catering at Buffalo, but the online menu
and website for both One Pie Pizza and Elevated Catering
a Buffalo can be found in the episode showing us
whether here on YouTube or whichever podcasting Epper platform. You're
listening to this show on. They're really good people making

(50:58):
really good food. I talk about all time, all the
giving back they do for the community of Buffalo, with
the SPCA, the Alzheimer's Foundation, Toys for Tots, partnering with
Roswell to try and knock out cancer. They do a
lot of good aside from just making really good food.
So if you have not gotten yourself some one Pie pizza,

(51:19):
if you live in the Buffalo area, get yourself from
one Pi Pizza. If you're coming up for a preseason
game or regular season game, or a trip in some
other way, shape or form, get yourself from one Pi
Pizza when you're here. RJ, who's normally in the in
the comments, I guess tonight was an off night for him.
He got some one Pie pizza. He took a picture
of it, tagged me in it. It looked awesome, and

(51:39):
he said it was the best pizza he's ever had
in his life. I don't think he was just saying
that because he's a harsh critic. So get yourself some
one Pie pizza. The best pizza in Buffalo, New York.
A couple more comments that came through Lawrence and Pahula
calling him Joshua Patrick Allen was like a proud dad
trying to get his son's attention. Yeah it was fair.

(52:01):
I definitely heard that and I was like, who called him? Then? Yeah,
that's fair, Steve saying I in all caps, I don't
think I could have watched Trey get cut. Yeah, I
can't imagine. Now. I think I think I was listening
to something earlier this well, a couple of weeks ago
or whatever, but I think being talked about that or
mentioned something about having to release Trey like last year

(52:25):
or whatever, and how tough that conversation was. And I
immediately went to that, like, yeah, that's god man, just
for that dude and for that organization, that's gotta be
it's gotta be tough. Yeah, that would be rough, no
bones about it. Says this roster has a lot of depth,
were likely to see some surprises on cut day. I wonder, yeah,
I wonder how much the depth guys make a push
for a solidified roster spot. And I also wonder how

(52:47):
much the injuries start to play a role. And you know,
just Curtis Samuel missed more time, so it gives an
opportunity to a guy like Tyrrel Shavers who maybe before
was competing with Elijah Moore for the wider five spot
or maybe not for any spot at all, but now
he's kind of just competing for the five because more
is competing for the four because Kurtis Samuel was out.
Like it's kind of just I wonder how much these

(53:10):
injuries linger and play, Like does anything continue along for
Cole Bishop or you know Spencer Brown with his back,
does that flare up again? What was the nature of
that injury and what kind of kept him out? Similarly
for Dawson Knox even the Cook situation SVPG being banged
up on the offensive line, Like, I think injuries are
going to be a big one in terms of you know,

(53:32):
who's healthy enough, but also any gamesmanship is somebody banged
up a little bit, but they're like, you know what,
we can take advantage of this and designate you in
this manner so that way we can keep an extra
guy in the roster spot and then we'll kind of
go from there. So I'm very interested to kind of
see what happens going forward. Lauren saying, do we think

(53:53):
we get to see Ray Davis kicking. I really sincerely
hope so I wanted in the preseason very badly, and
I am holding out hopeful. He made multiple kicks at
the scrimmage last week. When I was there, I thought
it was cool. I think it'd be a fun little
thing to see in the preseason. I kind of want
to see it happen. Also, if he could make kicks
regularly and then we get the opportunity to, I don't know,

(54:14):
maybe run some option football from some fake field goal looks.
Who knows, who knows, But yeah, I wonder if we're
going to see it or not. It really comes down
to just how healthy Bass is. And even if not,
I feel like maybe they probably bring in another guy
potentially to kind of just do some preseason kicking. But
I like to think that we will see Ray Davis
do some real kickings, real kickings, real kicking. Falling apart,

(54:37):
falling apart, Josh says. Ideally we don't have the injuries,
but the businessman in me says, one lass decision to make. Yeah,
tough nature of the business tough, tough, tough, tough, tough.
If you have not already, please please please think you
drop alke on this video before you leave here, whether
you're watching live now or watching post live here on YouTube.

(54:59):
I know it's late. I know we adjusted some things
and communicated it late into the evening. I didn't send
the tweet out until about eight. I had a crazy
workday that didn't allow me to get to this until then.
So I appreciate everybody for riding with me here late
on this Tuesday night and our start time past our
regularly scheduled time, and for you know, riding with this

(55:21):
kind of again departure from our normal, regularly scheduled content
here on Disguy's coverage. Again, if you didn't see in
the beginning, or if you're you know, tuning in, Josh says, wait,
we're not going till midnight now. I'm waxed, man, I'm
so tired. But yeah, I would, especially because we're doing
the postgame after the preseason later in this week. You know,
we're gonna get a lot of Diskuy's coverage this week.

(55:42):
But I appreciate for that. Buffadelphus has smashed the like
to the blueberries. Thank you very much. Oh let me go.
You know, I see some questions coming through in the chat.
I will grab these in a second as we do
this outro. As I mentioned there in the comment to Josh, again,
we will be live here on Disguis Coverage imediately following
the Buffalo Bills preseason game this week and Week one,

(56:04):
same thing for Week two and Week three. We have
done that for I think the last like three years.
I think this is the episode. I think this is
year three of doing it, or maybe year four where
Disgui's Coverage has done the postgame shows for all the
preseason games for the Bills, So I'm very excited for that.
I have some guests lined up for each of the weeks,
so that'll be fun. We'll again be talking about position groups,

(56:24):
specific players, schemes and stuff we saw on the game
and just what it means for the players for the
team going forward, anything and everything I having to do
with really breaking down the x's and O scheme and
structure of the Bills as we are normally accustomed to
here on this show. But I thought this was a
fun little departure. Also, if you enjoyed this episode or
the theme of it, let me know in the comments

(56:46):
here in the live chat, or get at me on Twitter,
Blue Sky, or leaving the comments on YouTube. This was
a fun episode. I would look to do it again
next week again, especially because we're going to continue to
do the postgame shows for the preseason episode. I think
this will be a fun thing to do after each
of the Hard Knocks episodes with it going on Tuesday night.
So this is something you liked, give me that feedback.
Let me know if you hated it, give me that

(57:08):
feedback as well. Let's all appreciate it. Grabbing this comment
here from fifty dollars Bills saying, so, if Ray Davis
is the backup kicker, will Tie Johnson be the second
running back? No, I think Davis would still say stay
is RB two and then he's more of like an
emergency kicker. I don't think it would really impact his
RB two status too much. Oh gotta stop because Lauren,

(57:31):
thank you so much for being here. Lauren. It's good
to see you again, especially after your departure from Twitter.
You're good people, and I appreciate you stopping by and
watching and commenting so much and kind of being like
an extra little co host for me on this episode.
So I appreciate you very much for that, and thank
you very much for the super chat. I appreciate. Lauren says,
thanks to Anthony, here's a little trade ay Sunday money.
I appreciate that. I man, I went to multiple days

(57:54):
of camp, but I I didn't take really full pto days,
and then I had a stuff on the Sundays that
I went No pun intended there, so I essentially came
in for camp and then bolted right back out as
soon as camp was done. But I really am upset
at myself for not stopping at Pittsford Dairy. I actually
I think I'm going back to Rochester this upcoming Sunday

(58:17):
to see some family. We'll probably try and stop at
Pittsford on my way back, and I will use this
for some for a trade a Sunday. I also wonder
too if I can ask for it now that the
first episode, Like, are people if people go in and
ask for that, do we think that they'll honor that?
Like if we if I if someone goes to the
front tomorrow, right they get to the register or whatever,

(58:37):
they get to the ordering spot and they ask like, oh,
can I have like a trade a Sunday? Like are
they gonna be like sure or are they gonna not
know what'? Stuff? I wonder if they're prepared for that.
Now I kind of want to know even more. I
was just gonna get some chocolate milk and maybe some
ice cream, But now now I feel like I need
to order the trade a Sunday and report back. Also,
if anybody lives in Rochester, go to Pittsfordairry tomorrow or

(58:59):
new live in Rochester. Let's let's let's figure this out.
We need to flesh this out. I like it. I
like it. I like it. I like it. Oh, thank
you very much, Josh for the the kind words. I
don't pull up things that are too positive for myself,
especially when I'm solo, because I think it's corny. But Josh,
I see your comment. That's super nice. I really appreciate that.
Thank you. Actually, because you said drop a like at
the end, Josh says, ha ha, totally get it about me.

(59:19):
Going to Midnight says we're spoiled with great content creators
like you all. Keep up the great work and drop alike.
Thank you very much for that. Josh. Yes, be like Josh,
drop alke on this video likes to the lifeblood of
these streams. Sincerely, they matter a lot and they help
the outgorithm a ton, same thing with comments on the
video post episode, so yes, please please do you think
you drop a like and think it for the kind
words Josh, think it for being here and all your comments.

(59:41):
I really appreciate it. Kebby says, do you think the
Williams signing makes Cook rethink his asking price? I really
think it depends on where he sees himself alongside Kyrien Williams.
I think if I think he already has a high
value of himself, so I don't think the ki Williams
contract is one that you know, bothers him too much.

(01:00:04):
I think Cook was looking to be in the upper
echelon or running back money, and I think he's going
to continue to look at that way. I don't think
Kyran Williams was somebody that was gonna make that upper
echelon kind of money, although he did get paid well
like eleven dollars eleven dollars eleven million average annual value.
But no, I think I think Cook is going to
kind of stay the course depending on what he was
asking for. I don't think the bills again, if that

(01:00:26):
is rumored, what Cook was asking for where it was
like fifteen million average annual value. We're sliding in right
behind Saquon Barkley, which I don't see the bills paying that.
I don't think Cook should get that, but if he
can get it from someone, chase that bag, do you.
But yeah, I think it's going to be tough. But
I don't think the Kyron Williams signing makes Cook rethink
his asking price. If anything, I think Cook sees what

(01:00:46):
Kyrone got and goes, oh, well, I'm better than him.
I should get fourteen million a year or fifteen I
think it might actually make him think, you know, actually
more solidified in his stance. Josh's point, saying, I feel
like both sides went perfect. This gives great this, This
is great leverage for us. Yeah. I think being in
company were like, oh, this is perfect, great leverage. And

(01:01:08):
I think Cook and his agent said the exact same thing.
I think that's very fair. So we'll kind of see
when it gets hashed out or when it doesn't. Yes,
James says, I'll let you know, Aunt trede A. Yes,
go let's see if this is a real, a real
thing that can be ordered. Now. I kind of want to.
I want to see if it happens and also if
they do grant it and give it to you, I
want to know if it's good or not. It looked good.

(01:01:30):
I mean everything Pittsford Gary does like they make their
is delicious, so I would imagine it's pretty good. Can
be saying, but their stats are similar, Williams might be
a little better. Different style of back, different usage, different
skill set, different traits, so it depends on kind of
what you're looking for in order to judge. We talked
about it a bit, actually a good chunk earlier in

(01:01:50):
the episode, so I don't want to rehash it too much,
but I think Cook is a better runner, a significantly
better runner. I think he's a bit of a better
pass catcher, more reliable, but Kyroen will James is a
much better and significantly better pass protector. So he gives
you the opportunity to be on the field more and
see more snaps, and he is an above you know,
he is a quality runner, pass catcher, and a significant

(01:02:12):
quality pass protector. So yeah, also stats to me, stats
are important obviously, but it's really more of the usage
and the schematic potential tied into their skill sets and
traits for me than it is just you know, kind
of the stats. But yeah, I mean, Kyriene deserve to
get paid. He's he sees a lot of snaps because
he doesn't have to leave the field because of what
he can do as a runner, a pass protector, and

(01:02:34):
as a pass catcher, even though he might not be
elite and anything, although he is a very good pass protector. Again,
I keep saying that, because he is serve to get paid.
You got it, So we'll see. I hope you folks
enjoyed this episode. Again, if you're watching live or watching

maybe four fifteen, something like that, immediately following Bill's Giants
preseason game. Yeah hope you folks enjoyed this episode. Comment
