twenty five Buffalo Bill's mock draft. I debated doing this

as a regular episode topic, but then I really wanted
to deep dive into the biggest position groups of need
for the Bills on the show, which I did and
if you haven't checked those out, go check those out.
Did one on the edge grouping, the cornerback grouping, and
the interior defensive line grouping, all with different content creators
and draft evaluators to really give you expertise and deep
dive details on the position groups and targets to know

in general, but specifically with a through a Buffalo Bills lens.
I should say, so did that instead of doing a
mock draft, but then still kind of wanted to do one.
Still might also do some more. I'm debating it thinking
about it, but anyway, that's kind of how this episode
came to fruition. And then in thinking about doing this episode,
I knew I didn't want to do it by myself,

so I figured I would bring on one of the
best in the business, when it comes to draft evaluation
and prospect rankings and studying and talking about it all
and disseminating it in proper verbage. And also, who's a
pretty good mock draft? I would heare, say, a professional
mock draft? Or to a degree, mister Russell Brown of
our too higher and fantasy pros, what you don't think

I've got a couple more position groups that I want
to finalize before the draft was around a week from now.
We are recording this on April seventeenth, late in the evening,
so the draft at this time a week from now,
we will be oh, I don't know, probably like pick

eight nine, depending on how long light teams are taken,
because it's usually we've been about an hour and twelve
minutes in now. Well, yeah, I'm I'm excited to hit
the home stretch and then that's for that Sunday, I'll
just be able to I'll be sad though, Like that's yes,
I get sad as well, that is true.

Yeah, Like the last like that seventh round hits and
like they start bringing out the uh pumpkin pie for
mel Kiper and and all that stuff, and I like,
I love, like I love watching it all and everything.
And then I'm like reality sets and I'm like they're
just like rind is over. We're back to square one,
and now I gotta tear this all down and.

Start all over. And I hate doing that because it
takes so long to build it all up. I get
sad when when they get to the point in the
draft on Saturday where they're rolling the picks in during commercials. Yes,
and then they come back from commercial and like, here's
the six guys that just got picked, and I'm like, oh,
we're in the home stretch. It's like it's sad now,
like they don't care anymore, so we don't care anymore. Yeah,

that's when I start to get sad. And then that
Sunday I breathe. But it's also like three and sixty
four more days.

The next Yeah, and then it's like there's there's like
that gap right like then it's like kind of football
season never really ends, but then it kind of does
because it's like, all right, no more free agency, no
more draft. Now, we just gotta wait till basically like July.

You're you're like scouring like rookie mini camp and like
OTAs and everything, and then but then like you're really
just waiting for training camp and then yeah, it's that weird,
that weird roll of like the spring into summer until
training camp starts. Yeah.

Yeah, it kind of sucks. Yeah, but I'm excite.

Yeah, I'm excited too. And you know what won't suck
this mock draft that we are about to do. Uh,
this one's yeah, it suck if we're doing it, that's true.
You never know, you know, but you know it won't
because little people behind the current because we're recording offline.
If it sucks, I'm just gonna stop the episode and
I'm gonna cut it right where it starts sucking, and
we'll restart the draft all over, and I'll edit it together,

all the rage lately, at least amongst the Bills community.
Joe Marino talked about it. I use this with Pat
Moran when I was on his podcast last week to

do a mock draft, and then I sent it to
you Russ whole nights to go to be like, hey,
I'm thinking about using this one. Let me know what
you think, and you you said something like all right, cool,
I I just got home. I'll let you know like
when I'm monkey with it. And then like two hours later,
all you just text me yours is like this is
stick yeah nice, yeah, yeah, it's it's easy to use.
I had not used it up to this point.

I was pretty much just like Pro Football Network using
that one the whole time because it's just like, you know,
it's I'm familiar with it and everything, and I'm just
so intrigued by this, Like it's so easy to use.
I think it's very realistic. I love that the settings
you can adjust. I love that when you're doing like

a full first round mock, you are still getting trade
offers in there, and it gets you kind of like
thinking like, oh, that's actually kind of smart, Like I'm
gonna take the fifth pick and move out of it
and go up to eleven and or back to eleven
and like just playing through all the scenarios. It's awesome
because that's that's kind of how mock drafts work for me,
is there's a billion scenarios and I can never turn
my brain off, so this kind of helps me with it.

That's fair. And yeah, we uh, if I take off
the banner down here in the bottom, this little advanced button,
you can tweak the sliders and create more randomness. You
can have teams bait draft more on need instead of
drafting based on value. And so it's really fun in
terms of how much you can kind of like customize
it and play with it a little bit. And yeah,
I thought this was good. I also like this too

because I've done so many I usually do PFF's mock Stimulator,
but I had done so many on there that I
knew how to like game the system. Yeah, and the
realism just wasn't really there and it was just far
too predictable. Not to mention, I didn't agree with a
lot of the rankings there, so like I'd be able
to get guys in the fifth round that I knew
that I thought were going to go in like the
third round or even the second at times. So yeah,

I like the the user interface here, the randomness to it,
the predictability but not too predictable, and yeah, just how
you can kind of maneuver things. And yeah, I went
back and looked at our text. So I asked you.
I was like, you know, you ever use stick to
the model dot com for mock drafts. I was like,
that's what I'm thinking of using tomorrow. It's been fun
when I've been using it. And then you said I'll
take a look tonight and just getting home and I said,

all good. And then that was at six forty nine.
At nine oh seven, all you did was send me
a text of this is sick, and then you sent
me a screenshot of the mock You just didn't.

so it was just sitting my new recliner, watch baseball
and do that. And yeah, I'm excited. I can't wait

awesome depth signing. And he's a great culture guy. I'm
happy that he's back. But yeah, that does not deter
us from, you know, potentially diving into the cornerback pool
