Speaker 39 (10:16):
Hey, Hey, Hey, what's up y'all? This is your girl Nini,
And guess what I'm locked in backstage with d L
and BAM and the hottest music talking topics on this
side of Heaven. All the funny you can handle on
d l's backstage past conversation.
Speaker 9 (10:32):
All right, guys, welcome in. It's time for another segment
of YEP in today's Dang d L. It's up close
and personal. Hey, anybody knows me, y'all know. It's only
one particular place I go to get my gas so lean,
my sweet tea and anything else that I need one
stop shop. But you know they not paying us or
(10:53):
I don't save them. But anyway, I pull up to
the pump and it was quite windy the other day,
and so I had my money in my hand, which
was a twenty dollar bill that I folded down and
then I placed my phone in the same hand over it.
All right, So gentleman is more than just a moniker
to go on stage with more than just a comedy
to her name. It's what a persona. I try to
(11:16):
patent myself to be a true gentleman. Chivalry is important
to me. And so I saw a sister coming up
out of the store.
Speaker 10 (11:24):
And I opened the door for her.
Speaker 9 (11:26):
And as I opened the door, I guess my twenty
dollar bill slid out of my hand, and as I
walked in the door to put the phone back in
the hand, that I opened the door up with I
noticed that there was not a twenty dollar bill in
my palm. I quickly hit my pockets, turned around, and
when I was walking up, there was a woman leaned
(11:47):
in the car talking to another woman. But as I
turned around, the woman that I opened the door for
was backing out. She had to suddenly stop because the
woman that was talking to the lady through her window
was running back towards the lady's car. Well, it was
a windy day that lady chased my twenty dollars down,
and she was gonna take my money.
Speaker 21 (12:09):
Yes she was, and being in the state.
Speaker 10 (12:12):
Of the world, we end. I looked around and I
walked to the car. I checked my car.
Speaker 9 (12:16):
I walked back over to those two said ladies, and
I asked, excuse me, ladies, have you guys happened to see.
Speaker 10 (12:24):
My twenty dollars fly by that fell out of my hand.
Speaker 9 (12:28):
The lady that was sitting in the car eyes got
real wide, like h oh, gigs up, he knows. The
lady who ran to go get my twenty dollars looked
me dad in the face and said, uh uh no,
dang dl Yes, she did look me square Dad dead
in the middle of these pretty brown eyes and told
(12:49):
me she didn't go and get my twenty dollars that
I just saw her go get. So now my jaws
is getting a little tight, and my prayer life is
getting a little figer.
Speaker 10 (12:58):
You hear what I'm saying. So I said, oh, okay,
And now you know from where I'm from, the person
that's always trying to give you.
Speaker 9 (13:07):
A little advice on what you should do is seemingly,
most of the time ninety percent the guilty party. So
she started coming up, Well, you know, it's windy outside,
so it wouldn't have took long to blow away. Don't
look at me, look at the wind. That's the first thing.
Speaker 10 (13:21):
Then she was like, well, did you ask the people inside? No,
I didn't. Well maybe they saw it.
Speaker 9 (13:25):
No, they couldn't have, because I did not make it
inside with my money. And I said, well, nah, I
didn't go in with the money. I said, Plus, nobody
would possibly turn it in in these days in time anyway,
nobody's that honest. Yeah, I'm looking at her in her
face when I say that. And so she goes, well,
I'll go in and I'll get it. And I said,
(13:47):
if you go in and get it. It won't be
my twenty dollars if you find it in the store,
But if you do get my twenty dollars, it won't
be in the store. So I walked back to my car.
I sit down, and I said, God, please give me
back my money.
Speaker 42 (14:03):
Now.
Speaker 9 (14:03):
Notice I didn't say let me find my money and
all the Lord please, because I knew where it was,
and if I had a prayer let me find my money,
I probably would have ran her pockets. Yeah, so I
didn't want to go to jail because she was She
wasn't skinfulk. So I'm like, Lord, just come on, you know,
(14:25):
you know I got that set aside. You know how
you had your little weekly allowance that you pay yourself
and your budgeted down.
Speaker 10 (14:32):
I said, Lord, I need it.
Speaker 21 (14:34):
Just bring my money back to me.
Speaker 10 (14:35):
So the holy goes.
Speaker 9 (14:37):
After that prayer got the whooping that woman's conscious so
bad that that lady kept looking over at me sitting
in my car. She went back to her car, then
she went back in the store, and then she came back.
She just couldn't leave. She wanted to leave, She couldn't leave.
The girl she was talking to none left. She couldn't leave,
So she finally walks over to my car. She goes,
excuse me, sir, are you the one that lost your money?
Speaker 13 (14:58):
Now?
Speaker 9 (14:59):
Listen here, I was the only one dressed the way
I was, and I was the only one looking the
way I was looking, all right, But I'm like, yes, ma'am,
I'm the one that unfortunately lost his twenty dollars to
the wind.
Speaker 10 (15:11):
That lady says, well, here's twenty dollars. I looked at it.
I said, God, bless you, thank you, cause you know
she didn't.
Speaker 43 (15:18):
Have to do it.
Speaker 9 (15:19):
So as she walks off, Ego kicked and said, now
I didn't find it, but I'm paying it forward. Hey, look,
if that be the case, if that woman felt the
need to where she saw me so distrayed that she
went in that store, used atm gave me twenty dollars,
God bless you, ma'am.
Speaker 10 (15:37):
But if you know you found my.
Speaker 9 (15:39):
Twenty dollars and you could not pull off seeing that
you saw somebody that needed their twenty dollars, the holy
ghost worked on you. Either way you want to dress
it up. So I just want to say I started
off saying, dang, this lady none took my money. Dang,
you just gonna sit there and let that woman tell
play with you like that. Dang, you should go over
(16:01):
there and just just go in her pockets and take Dang, God,
don't let me go out like this. Dang, there is
still humans that adhere to the voice of God. Dang,
that holy ghost show is powerful.
Speaker 10 (16:18):
Dang. All things work together for the good of those
who love God and who are called according to His purpose.
Speaker 9 (16:26):
And that's the day's segment of Now back to more
of the hottest music talking topics this side.

My name is Pastor Curf for Dixon, and I'm Debbie Dixon.
Speaker 10 (30:30):
And we're locked in backstage with d L and BAM.
Speaker 13 (30:33):
And the hottest music talk and topics this side of.
Speaker 55 (30:36):
Heaven and all of the funnies you can handle on
DL's backstage past conversations.
Speaker 9 (30:43):
All right, y'all know what time it is, put your
hands together for my own air ride and die my
comedy comrade the.
Speaker 56 (30:51):
Ball, the bearded brown bomba of comedy himself with his
segment I just be bam, give it up for mister
ba brih.
Speaker 19 (31:06):
Salutations. Good brother, good brother, good brother.
Speaker 55 (31:12):
So, as I was on the entranet, you know, scrolling through,
just trying to find a little something something to make
me say I just be bam, I ran across a video.
Speaker 19 (31:23):
Of a woman complaining about lunch.
Speaker 55 (31:28):
Now, it started with a guy that was you know,
he wanted to be friendly, he wanted to oblige a
young lady, and he wanted to basically trick off some cash. Uh,
and so he he hit the lady was in box
and said, hey, you know, I want to buy you
lunch today.
Speaker 19 (31:49):
You know, she says, okay, cool, I'm with that. I
can eat. So he said, send me your cash.
Speaker 21 (31:55):
Aap.
Speaker 19 (31:56):
She sends it. She said, you know, so she checks
her cash sapping.
Speaker 55 (32:02):
She said, I'd just be bam if he didn't send
me thirty dollars for lunch. Now me lunch, I'm gonna
spend a couple dollars. She complained about getting thirty dollars
for lunch. She said, thirty dollars I was expecting at
(32:26):
least one hundred, one hundred dollars for lunch. I'd just
be bamed if I'm gonna send you one hundred dollars
for lunch, one person for lunch.
Speaker 19 (32:39):
What was she expecting?
Speaker 13 (32:40):
What was she trying to eat? Ruth Chris.
Speaker 19 (32:45):
Cooper's hawk, What was she trying to eat for one
hundred dollars for lunch?
Speaker 55 (32:50):
Now I could see if it was dinner and it
was me and her, but no, this was one person,
you know, that was expecting one hundred dollars. She was
mad because of the thirty. Do you know how much
food you can get for thirty dollars for lunch? I
(33:11):
mean you can get at least twelve mcdoubles, you know,
for thirty.
Speaker 19 (33:19):
How about a four for four you could probably get
about carry the one.
Speaker 55 (33:24):
About seven of them. You know, a Mexican pizza. You
can probably get about five Mexican pizzas.
Speaker 19 (33:33):
And if you don't even.
Speaker 55 (33:34):
Want fast food, man, let's go to the grocery store
and let's pick up a lunchable or two, or for
that price.
Speaker 19 (33:43):
How about nine of them? You know, do your math,
it'll all add up.
Speaker 55 (33:47):
Do your math. But you was expecting this man to
seem you more than thirty. I'm not she was expecting
one hundred. But I'm just gonna say she was expecting,
you know, more than that, which she was tripping.
Speaker 21 (34:01):
Now.
Speaker 55 (34:02):
Now, now the guy, hmm, I'm gonna say, uh, you know,
kudos to you for you know, trying to do something,
you know.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
But.
Speaker 19 (34:14):
Thirty dollars.
Speaker 55 (34:15):
Uh, you know you I was assuming that you you
were expecting something out of this, you know, out of
the your deal. You send her some money, she says,
thank you. You say, Okay, what's next? She says nothing? Uh,
I say, but I just sent you thirty. She says, well,
what was you expecting? He was gonna say, maybe dinner
(34:36):
or something later, or your number. But he didn't know
what type of caliber woman that he was dealing with.
That's number one. He didn't know because he didn't even
know this female. And I know that because had he
known the woman, he would have known that she was bougie.
Speaker 26 (34:54):
Uh.
Speaker 19 (34:55):
I'm gonna say upper echelon.
Speaker 55 (34:57):
I'm gonna I'm just gonna use that just because I
mean it's sounding good, sounded like a big word.
Speaker 19 (35:01):
You know, I am educated, you know a little bit,
but he.
Speaker 55 (35:05):
Would have known the type of woman that he was
dealing with, and he would have sent more than thirty
dollars had he known her.
Speaker 19 (35:11):
But I believe that he was just trying to get
something going.
Speaker 55 (35:16):
Hey, man, number one, don't trick off your cash for
these internet females.
Speaker 19 (35:23):
Number one.
Speaker 55 (35:25):
Number two, if you're gonna trick you gotta make sure
you got it now. That might have been his last thirty,
or all he might have had was was was one hundred,
and he said, Man, let me go on to send
this girl this thirty and I'm gonna keep this seventy.
Put some gas in the tank. Let me see then
I maybe I can go get a four for four,
you know, and wait for her to send a response back.
(35:48):
And you know, bottom line, none of that happened. She
got on the internet and blasted the dude out, you know,
for sending thirty dollars. Man, I could do so much
with thirty dollars.
Speaker 19 (36:00):
Is man? The these women not all so don't get
it twisted.
Speaker 55 (36:04):
Not all are so entitled and so used to men
tricking off they cash for them for something or for nothing.
So men, let's wise up, you know, let's wise up.
Man approach this lady in another way, you don't don't
lead with cash, don't you know, don't lead with cash
(36:25):
because that's what she's gonna expect all the time. And
then number three, which I which goes back to number one.
Know the woman that you're dealing with. Check her inbox,
I mean, or check her Instagram, check her Facebook, or
check her socials.
Speaker 19 (36:39):
Whatever she's got that you was on. Check them. See
how the woman moves, see how she lives, see how
she acts.
Speaker 13 (36:46):
See what she eat.
Speaker 19 (36:47):
You know it's it's Instagram. You know, she got meals
on there. That's what Instagram is for.
Speaker 55 (36:53):
To take pictures of what you eat, take pictures of
your night life, your highlight reel.
Speaker 13 (36:59):
So uh, I believe.
Speaker 55 (37:01):
I'm just gonna say that the woman was very ungrateful.
And hey, lady, if you hear it, if you're listening,
turn it down a little bit.
Speaker 19 (37:11):
You know what I'm saying. Don't expect so much out
the gate.
Speaker 55 (37:17):
Get to know the man, Get to know the man
that takes us back to the to the cheesecake factory situations.
Speaker 19 (37:26):
Ladies, y'all expecting too much.
Speaker 55 (37:27):
You ain't even gonna spend one hundred dollars on yourself,
although she said that's what she eats for lunches is
at least a hundred.
Speaker 19 (37:33):
I don't believe it. I don't believe it at all.
I don't believe it.
Speaker 55 (37:37):
Every day you spend one hundred dollars on lunch, Nah,
that's for you and your homegirls at brunch with mimosas
and all that other extra stuff.

his group in Jones and the TP Mob made their
recording debut on Motown's nineteen ninety four compilation Motown Comes Home.
The compilation featured such artists as Smokey Robinson, as well
as Jones's composition Spirit Control Made. The group issued its

the origins of Mother's Day? Well, Mother's Day modern roots
(47:35):
lie in the efforts of a lady named Anna Jarvis, who,
after her mother and Jarvis' death in nineteen oh five,
she campaigned for a day to honor motherhood. Jarvis spearheaded
the movement, culminating in President Woodrow Wilson's nineteen fourteen proclamation
designing the second Sunday in May as a national holiday.
(48:00):
The holiday's initial focus was on honoring mothers and promoting peace,
but it evolved to become a commercialized celebration of motherhood,
and Jarvis's legacy includes being known as Mother Jarvis. She
was a social activist who organized women's groups to improve
sanitation and health conditions, especially during the Civil War. She

This year?
Speaker 78 (01:21:42):
Girl Angela Crosse and I am backstage with my favorite
radio duo, the D. L. Marshall and Bam Brown, enjoying
the hottest music, talk and topics plus all the funny
you can handle. It's d else backstage past conversations.
Speaker 9 (01:22:04):
All right, this is a dues and don'ts man. And
you know, when reading the Bible, things are placed in
the Bible for our benefit. And I know a lot
of times we read things, and because it addresses topics
or situations that we may find ourselves in or we
don't want to come out of. We started talking about
what that was talking to these people that was in
(01:22:24):
the old Testamental. I'm not no longer under that, man,
Come on with excuses. Look here, the Bible has something
in it for all of us to apply to our
everyday living. It's applicable to our lifestyle as Christians. Whether
you want to use those basic instructions before leaving Earth.
Speaker 10 (01:22:44):
Is up to you. But it will behoove you too
and not to so.
Speaker 9 (01:22:48):
Here are today's dudes, and don'ts man, do pay attention
first of all, and do understand that there is a
price if you don't follow what word of God and
his commandments say unto us. What are you saying, d
What I'm saying is a guy committed suicide because he
(01:23:11):
slept with this fly fox said, shapelet thick, beautiful, y'all
get what I'm saying.
Speaker 10 (01:23:19):
The lust of the eye God. And he slept with
this girl.
Speaker 9 (01:23:22):
He had been wanting her, and then all of a
sudden he found out that the woman that he had
been chasing and been wanting for so long.
Speaker 10 (01:23:31):
Was HIV positive.
Speaker 9 (01:23:33):
Now you know he went in the panic mode because
he did not use protection, and he saw man, whether
than to suffer with this, whether to go through the embarrassment,
whether to go to the debilitating issues of this disease.
Speaker 10 (01:23:49):
I'll take my life.
Speaker 9 (01:23:51):
Guys, don't lean to thy own understanding, but do it
here to the voice of God.
Speaker 10 (01:23:58):
There are signs, there are stop signs, and there are.
Speaker 9 (01:24:02):
Red flagses blooing in the wind to prohibit us from
making decisions that will.
Speaker 10 (01:24:09):
Cost us our life. And I hate this. Brother saw
no other end but the measure of taking his own life.
Speaker 63 (01:24:17):
But guys, we have to do what the Bible says,
and we have to continue to preach to abstain from
sex before marriage.
Speaker 10 (01:24:28):
Now, some of y'all might be like me. You may
not be bold enough to say it.
Speaker 63 (01:24:32):
But some of y'all may be like me and did
not abstain from sex before marriage.
Speaker 10 (01:24:38):
God forgave me for it.
Speaker 9 (01:24:40):
Thank God, I didn't meet a faith such as this,
young man, but not because we did it the right way,
the God way. But we cannot stop giving up on
preaching it God's way. We cannot give up on trying
to do it God's way.
Speaker 10 (01:24:56):
And for those of you like now now now, now now,
d l now, I can you know, I've got to
find out.
Speaker 9 (01:25:01):
I've got to simple that cob before I purchased the
milk because the milk might be spalled. Yeah, the milk
might be spall just like this brother found out. Yeah yeah,
So here's the deal. Man, at least, if you gonna
do it your way instead of God's way, use precusive,
precautionary measures.
Speaker 10 (01:25:22):
Wrap that thing up.
Speaker 37 (01:25:24):
Man.
Speaker 10 (01:25:24):
You can't be out here trusting what these girls is
telling you. They don't do on a regular bait. You
know you do not heard it.
Speaker 13 (01:25:32):
You know this ain't like me normally.
Speaker 9 (01:25:34):
I don't do these kind of things, which is the
things they normally do. You can't put your mortality or
immortality in the hands of somebody.
Speaker 10 (01:25:43):
That is being just as careless with you or you
as you are with them. Wrap that thing up.
Speaker 9 (01:25:49):
Don't be talking about well, I'm on the pill and
I can't give now nowadays, Man, things are so bad pregnancy.
If you're lucky, you wind up having a baby with
somebody you don't wanna be with if you're lucky. But
man at health at health, boys at risk, especially with
all the things these folks bragging about what they do,
(01:26:11):
with all these folks bragging about their body counts, body counts,
come on, man, So my condolences go to the family
of the young man that foul felt as though there
was no other.
Speaker 10 (01:26:24):
Way out but to take his life. But I will
say this to their young lady. You knew you had
that package, and shame on you. Look, man, if you're ill.
Speaker 9 (01:26:35):
If you're sick, I don't care how many pills you take,
and I don't care how well you think it's under wrapped.
Speaker 10 (01:26:41):
Keep them cookies to yourself.
Speaker 9 (01:26:45):
If you are not in a position or feel comfortable
enough to tell somebody what your situation or your status
of your health.
Speaker 10 (01:26:52):
Is, I'm sorry, it's just got to be said.
Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
And then if you disclose what you living with and
they decide to go forth, then please y'all don't go
forth irresponsibly, but do take the necessary precautionary procedures to proceed.
Speaker 10 (01:27:11):
That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 9 (01:27:12):
Y'all know y'all sick, Let somebody know you're sick. Don't
be out here fooling folk, and man, don't be taking people's.
Speaker 19 (01:27:19):
Words for it.
Speaker 9 (01:27:20):
