It's the hottest gospel music this side of Heaven and
all the funny you can handle on deals backstage pass
radio shows.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
Well, sweet, yeah, that was sweet, And I told y'all
we give y'all, the hottest music reviews, talk and topics
this side.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
Of heaven, and all the funny that any of y'all
can handle.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
All right, your street voice, missus, sad wildfa and we
won't belong and nothing. It is time for your fastly
growing favorite infament segment.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Deal yourmot deal, Thank you very much, Tammy.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
So everybody is always talking out hater's this, hater's that,
and there ain't nothing but a hater this ain't listen
take that as motivation.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
But what is it inside of us that are believers
that can't say that there.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
Is no weapon for him against the selves, This shall prosper.
What is it that when we when we get to
go in on tangems about haters and we get upset,
why don't we celebrate the God said he you make
our enemies our footstoops. What is it about us a
believers that when we get to giving all this energy
to people that you know don't have your best interest

(22:06):
at heart, that we can't say, pray for those that
spitefully misuse you, because it's like heaping coals of fire up.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
On their head.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
But what we will do is have seventeen thousand comments
Love it, brother, keep doing what you're doing, sister, Oh
you goll that's that. And then one comment says some
ignorant and we got the power to overlook it by
deleting it. And we will spend all day long talking

(22:36):
about how they wish they was me and how they
got to Actually, no, they don't quit flattering yourself. The
reason why they dislike what you're doing is because they
dislike what you're doing.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
It's not anything purpose Now, I've been only talking to you.
I ain't talking to you if it ain't you. But
I'm talking to you if it is you. And all
I'm saying is believers, believer. I'm talking to the believers now,
all right.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Not church folk, not people just occupying a few taking
up space, but believers, relationship holders with the Lord. Not
just folks that get them go church out of religiosity
and habitual movement, but religious folks. Y'all ain't gonna get this,
but relationship having folks with the true and believer.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
Listen, why are you pouring into that They don't like you?

Speaker 1 (23:29):
And it ain't you that they dislike. It's a message
that you're preaching, and the message ain't yours. It's the
one that you repping, the true and living Savior, the Messiah,
which ain't you? If they reject you, for my sake,
just shape the dust off your feet. Why are you
giving more power to those that cause disruption, heartache, and

(23:54):
frustration in your life rather than to those that are
celebrating us. We'll have we have seven hundred people in
a room, but we were supposed to have thousand. You know,
the room fit one thousand. Seven hundred people showed up,
and we'll talk about the three hundred that didn't make it.
Entertain the people that's here. If it's ten people in

(24:16):
the room, entertained to ten, take me, if it's only
forty people in the room, won't with them forty? That's
forty potential sales on whatever it is you mottling singers.
It may only be one hundred people in the room.
You was looking for five monk standing them hundred folk
because you might have had five hundred people in.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
The room and only sold one hundred CD so really
it was one hundred didn't matter.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Why tell me do you feel we give more credence
to the distraction than we do to the focus factor,
which is Christ.

Speaker 9 (24:51):
Because deep down inside we want everybody to support love
and like us, and when that does.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
Not, I happened, it does hurt.

Speaker 9 (25:01):
Especially a lot of times, it's not the people that
we expect to support us. It's the ones that we
expect us to, that we expect to be there that
don't show So that's what we're focused on.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Our feelings are mostly hurt. So then that's when you
go into, well, you know, to kind of make yourself
feel a little better.

Speaker 9 (25:21):
That's when you go into focusing on the haters and
this and this instead of instead of celebrating.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
The ones that did show up for you, the people.

Speaker 9 (25:30):
I always say, everybody that's here was supposed to be here,
and that's that's how I always that, And it took
me a while to get to that point, but that's
where I am now. It's like everybody that shows up
are the ones that God God supposed to be you know,
I'm supposed to bless them, They supposed to bless me.
The ones that didn't show up, they didn't show up

(25:50):
for a reason. God didn't want them there. So that
that's the way I see it now. But again, it
took me a long time because I used to be
man that used to bother me. You know, it was
just because it's certain people to support you, and then
when they don't, it is hard. But you know, your

(26:13):
assignment or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
The one thing tells me that we did a show,
either the last show or a couple of before, but
we did an actual show to where we asked the
question of industry and ministry or ministry and industry can
they coexist? And you know, one thing that ministry and
industry has in common is that either one of them,

(26:39):
you can't lead with your feelings. The only time you
can have emotion when you're ministry is the fervorancy behind
you knowing what you're talking about, the fact that God
saved you and you have a desire to see other
folks say, that's the emotion that fuels the further ends

(27:00):
behind your witnesses. When you're in the industry, how you
feel when you're on stage, whether it's the passion behind
your singing, whether it's the the off behind your strut,
whether it's the ooh, I'm ready to make them laugh,
behind your jokes, your poetry, whatever it is. As you MC,
you cannot lead.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
With your emotions.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
And I notice I'm not saying you can't be emotional
about but you can't lead with it because you get
your You get your feelings bruised when you wear it
right there on your shoulder, and you can't wear your
feelings on your shoulder. People take professionalism and tell me.
You know in a few meetings that I've said this,
So let me try to help somebody. You can't get

(27:43):
your feelings hurt when you're actually professional in what you're doing,
because feelings become personal and when you conducting business that's professional.
Can a person that you may not ever you go
in the board meeting and somebody turn you down, you
may not ever see them people again? How do them

(28:05):
people hurt your feelings? How do they ruin your day?
How do they mess up your mood? No? Man, it's
the people to say, add a boy, go in there,
get that, do that, and if they don't, we gonna
find another room to present it. You know, if you
look at things, tell me, in the industry of comedy,

(28:28):
if I can make seven to ten people laugh every joke.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
I'm winning.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
But notice I didn't say it's got to be the
same seven to ten people. You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
But this consistent laughter seven to ten people.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
You got it, you got it. So yeah, man, I
want to admonish you all. Stop focusing on the people
that's talking about what you're doing. That's free promotion. If
they're talking negatively about it, and people want to buy
into what they're saying, that wasn't your audience. Yeah, but

(29:08):
look how people talk about Leandrea Johnson based off of
what she's actually doing, and she's still getting booked, she's
still selling our concerts because those that are gonna rock
with you understand we are flawed creatures and we want
to make sure we don't rest and get complacent and

(29:30):
comfortable in the flaws. We want to make sure through
those flaws we seek deliverance and perfection, which is maturity
when you're talking scripturally. But we can't just sit and complain. Well,
these people, these people saying, these people, everybody want to
be the popular kid, but everybody won't their popularity to

(29:51):
always be positive, and popularity don't mean positively. Popularity don't
means everybody likes you. Popularity means that you are the
hot topic and everyone knows you. It doesn't say everybody
likes you. Everyone knows you. Dang dal So you gotta
get used of people seeing you in other ways than

(30:16):
you see yourself. Like we we say, oh I got
this outfit, I'm about to kill them. Whoa, I'm gonna
be cold blooded. But you walk out and that might
be twenty people to be like, I don't know what
they was thinking and why they put that on.

Speaker 14 (30:28):
Dang dal.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
So just because you have a certain perspective and perception
of how people are going to view it, don't mean
people gonna pick up on your frequency, right, dang dal. Yeah,
so we gotta get it done for the one we said,
sent us out to get it done. And uh, you know,

(30:53):
sometimes you gotta turn over tables in the synagogue to
get done what you need to get done. And then
other times a dove would just ascend up on your
head because that's just how much peace you have acquired
in the space that you mean. All right, So that
is another infamous segment.

Speaker 30 (31:14):
Dang deal.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
Hey, y'all, we appreciate y'all. We're gonna get into a
comment real quick before we get off in here. Chantale
also said, yes, yes, yes, Tammy d. Taylor, I used
to feel like that. Felicia Booze says at around the
age of fifteen to sixteen, did a sermon title what

(31:39):
is that dealing with thoughts and the haters over there?
The haters over there, and he thought about the power
we have as believers. Yes, yes, yeah, it does hurt.
Good morning, Stephen Marshall. One Marshall to another. Salute. Some
people will talk bad about you when you are what's

(32:03):
that doing something good, and they really talk about you
when you're doing something bad. Oh yeah, good morning to you, Broniecat.
I'm on another platform. We'll try to watch replay. Appreciate
your support always. Bronie Cat is a bona fide platinum
backstage past. Just remember, man, when you are in a

(32:29):
space of public figure, it figures that the publics they
got to say same thing. Sorry, Dille, you know I
can't do shortcoment.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
No you good?

Speaker 1 (32:41):
You good? All right? We got another video by request
on today. And let me say this, man, I've been
searching and searching and searching for quartet videos. Quartet, can
y'all do me a favor? Can y'all sharpen up your videos, like,
even if you're doing them live and you're not doing
a con sell video, can you shorten some clips and

(33:03):
shorten it down to about four minutes, please, because I've
been searching, searching in the shortest A lot of times.
I go through nineteen twenty videos and sometimes the shortest
one I find is eight thirty eight or ten minutes.
I'm trying to play, y'all. I can't put y'all up
here for no fifteen minutes. I'm sorry, not on radio,
I can't do it. But guess what, y'all. I believe

(33:25):

Tammy D Taylor, Timmy t is what you see and uh, hey,
we got one form.

Speaker 3 (49:11):
Let's shuffle around the car deck, Tammy.

Speaker 1 (49:14):
Uh let's do this. Uh let us get into a
don't ask d m Can we do that?

Speaker 3 (49:21):
We can?

Speaker 1 (49:22):
Are you ready for that? I'm ready? All right, let's
get into it. Here is the segment that we try
to warn you about. You know, some of you call
and you'll be asking people for their advice. Before you
go to God and ask them for his direction. And
I told y'all don't ask me, because I'm gonna say
something real crazy, and I'm gonna make sure that when

(49:44):
I get through giving you my advice, you're gonna have
to go to nobody but God. But go ahead, Timmy, Okay, Okay.

Speaker 9 (49:52):
So this don't ask DL is from Jerry. Jerry is
in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and.

Speaker 1 (50:00):
Jerry says, Jerry, Jerry would a Jay or Jerry would
a G Jerry.

Speaker 3 (50:06):
Would a j j e Oh yeah, hey Jerry, Hey Jerry.

Speaker 1 (50:10):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (50:11):
So he says, my girlfriend is an amazing woman. I
really think she may be the one. She has a
great relationship with her family, but for some reason, her
father does not like me at all.

Speaker 1 (50:23):
I've done nothing.

Speaker 9 (50:25):
I have nothing but good intentions for his daughter, but
I can't seem to get his approval.

Speaker 1 (50:30):
And this is causing intention in our relationship. What should
I do, dear? Well, if Jerry, you're looking for dad's
approval to like you and it's causing problems in you
guys relationship. If he don't like you, then you may
as well break up because guess what one father speaking
up for another. We don't like you just because you

(50:52):
like our daughter. Well, dog, you ain't got no kids.
You ain't got no daughter, Jerry, It's obvious without you
said you ain't got no daughter, you are automatically the
enemy as a male when a man has daughters. That's
why we walk around as daddy's when we with our daughters.
Frowned up because we can't stand the attention you trying

(51:15):
to show our girl. Now Here, you come trying to
front for me, acting like you just got the bestest
and purest of intentions for my daughter.

Speaker 3 (51:23):
We know you ain't got the purest of intentions.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
We know what you trying to do if you ain't
already accomplished with our little girl. So for that alone,
we don't like it. Ain't nobody gonna give our daughters
and love our daughters as pure as a day.

Speaker 3 (51:41):
Now Here you come trying to replace us. Listen, let
me ask you, Jared.

Speaker 1 (51:45):
I don't know what you do for a living, but
let's say, how would you feel when your boss came
into your job and said, this.

Speaker 3 (51:53):
Is Curtis train Curtis.

Speaker 1 (51:55):
Because Curtis coming in to take your job, you gonna
like Curtis could be a swell fellow, onesome guy, but
you not gonna like him, Jerry, because Curtis is coming
to take your job.

Speaker 3 (52:11):
And that's how fathers feel with our little girls, that
the little boys to get their attention, open their ears
and their nose is coming to take our jobs. You
say you got a dynamic relationship.

Speaker 1 (52:27):
I didn't see nowhere in that letter where you said
you was a married married to this woman.

Speaker 3 (52:32):
Are intending to marry this one.

Speaker 1 (52:35):
That's probably what he's looking like.

Speaker 3 (52:36):
He probably like Jered.

Speaker 1 (52:38):
You've been coming around here now kissing up to me
for the last five years. I don't see no invitations, Jared.
I don't see no engagement ring Jared. What's you around
here for? Jared. My daughter still gotta call me up
and ask me for five dollars for some food every
now and then, Jared. She keep asking me to cash

(52:58):
out hes some money for some gash knowledge Er. I
ain't like him.

Speaker 3 (53:03):
Come on, Jerry, this was a set letter, Jerry. This
was a waste of time letter.

Speaker 1 (53:09):
Jerry. You know what you is or is ain't doing.
Why this man ain't liking you? Jerry?

Speaker 3 (53:18):
Starting number one, Like I said at top of the list,
you dating his daughter.

Speaker 1 (53:22):
Now we come to say, after y'all are stuck around
like a ward for a while, Okay, let me she
like him, she.

Speaker 3 (53:30):
May even love him.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
Let me start trying to see some qualities about him,
since he just gotta be around that I can pull off.

Speaker 3 (53:37):
Him to like him a little bit.

Speaker 1 (53:40):
So the like that you thought that your girl's dad
had for you was called tolerance, Jerry. He ain't never
like you, ain't.

Speaker 3 (53:51):
Really gonna like you.

Speaker 1 (53:52):
He might grow to love you because the love his
daughter has for you, based off the love he has
his daughter, he gonna tolerate you a little deeper. Me.
You're gonna be around for a little while. But oh,
don't you think for Saint Jered, did he waiting for
the first opportunity for you to mess up so you
can faith around and find out how you really been
feeling about you? Jered? So look here, man, Jerry, Either

(54:17):
you gonna have to figure out how to get past
how the old man feel about you, or you just
gonna have to give up, turn it loose, because ain't
nobody caring about your web noodle feelings? Man up, He's
probably trying to see.

Speaker 3 (54:33):
I'm just gonna do Jerry like this to see how
he gonna respond.

Speaker 1 (54:37):
I don't know. I your daddy.

Speaker 7 (54:38):
I don't like me.

Speaker 39 (54:39):
I'm a good guy to him. I showing time and
you supposed to. That's her daddy, man, demn getting into
the strength. Let me ran in and damn want about
what you thought I was gonna say? Forgive him Jered
love her anyway, Jerry, No, man, you're dad. You are

(55:06):
in for one.

Speaker 1 (55:08):
Jerry told you, don't ask me. Hope I didn't hurt
your feelings, Jerry. Hope you don't feel like Dale disliked you. Jerry,
But did you get over yourself?

Speaker 3 (55:20):
Jerry?

Speaker 1 (55:20):
Leave that man's daughter alone? Jerry? How old? Jerry right
his back? Tell us how old you are? Oh my goodness.
He may really truly have good intentions for this girl.
I never said he didn't tell me. But if you notice,

(55:44):
he didn't write no letter about the dynamic of him
and her relationship. That's who were in a relationship with
the girl. He said that portion of the relationship was good. True,
you better keep it good, because I'm gonna tell you
what you want her to look at you different? You

(56:05):
think she's saying your name? Saying your name? You talk
about that girl, Daddy. Let her be a girl, dadd
you talk about let her find out Jerry that you
wrote a letter backstage to talk about her. Daddy. Oh
you think you got a problem now, Daddy.

Speaker 11 (56:21):
You don't know what Jerry had to know her to do.

Speaker 1 (56:23):
Let her get upset with you. Yeah, come on, Jerry,
if your relationship is that good, Jerry, focus on relationship.
If Daddy see you treating her good, you come around, Jerry.
But he ain't gonna never like you. You better learn it,

(56:45):
You better do it. You better learn that nine times
out of ten you are probably not going to be
liked by your lady Daddy. He gonna tolerating y'all might
go fishing, y'all might laugh, catch a lot of fish,
but it's about twenty times y'all on that deck that

(57:07):
he's like. I wonder if I push him over in
this water, if he gonna get up out of there,
or I'll get away with it. Will your daughter's be
catching it, don't they? Y'all sitting at the house watching
the ball game, and he asked you if you want
something to drink? He ain't concerned about your thirst. He

(57:28):
really getting up to see if you're gonna look over
your shoulder. I could bust this dude in his head
with this happened. He ain't done it because he ain't
figured out how to get away with it yet. Daddies
don't like the dudes that they daughters. They tolerate them. Jerry,
this foolishness, Jerry, get over yourself.

Speaker 5 (57:49):
Je my god, my god, my god, my god. Taf
the five by how you got your last?

Speaker 18 (58:02):
He made me?

Speaker 26 (58:03):
Then he shaped me, never ever forsake me, set me
on that path, never held me to my past, gave
whatever I asked, promises ever last and it's glory.

Speaker 5 (58:11):
I will bad.

(01:05:23):

level of national and international recognition. A key figure in
music in the state of Virginia, Binham has written and
directed for the Virginia Mass Choir, has served as first

Open My Heart project were nominated for two Stellar Gospel
Music Awards for Contemporary Male Vocalists of the Year and
Contemporary Choir of the Year. How do you go about
relocating to a new town and finding the right church?

(01:06:28):
Well Research says that you should first research the area.
You can do that in many ways, but mostly through
recommendations for friends and family, or simply by searching online.
Attend services so you can observe the church's culture and practices.
Consider the church's statement of faith, the leadership approach, and

(01:06:51):
their vision for the ministry. Observe the church's atmosphere. Consider
the feel or the vibe of the church and whether
it aligns with us so personal preferences and needs. Evaluate
the music and programs. Assess the music, preaching, and whether
the church's children's programs are suitable for your family. Consider

(01:07:11):
your past experiences. Think about what you really enjoyed at
your past ministries and try to find some similar.

Speaker 12 (01:07:18):
Elements in your new church.

Speaker 41 (01:07:20):
Also, ask a lot of questions don't hesitate to ask
questions about the church's beliefs and practices. For example, inquire
about the church's approach to preaching and how it interprets
the Bible. Look for biblical foundation. Ensure that the church's
teachings are rooted and grounded in the Bible, and that
the preaching is clear and helpful in understanding scripture. Also,

(01:07:43):
look for a healthy church. Consider the factors like the
church's focus on prayer, evangelism, and service to others. And finally,
consider the church's focus. Does the church emphasize christ like love,
a biblical understanding of sin, and biblically qualified lead. Here's
this week's top ten gospel songs. Number ten the Chicago

(01:08:05):

Speaker 31 (01:08:53):
Woke up late at about ten.

Speaker 42 (01:08:56):
Now I gotta hurry up before the service begins. I
gotta say pray before I step out the house, because
you know the power of life and death, it comes
from the mouth my people, their parents, because my people
they blind. I see the youngins on the corner, throwing
up gang signs. I've refined the glove and grabbed my book,
said the name Jesus or them demons were shook, stepped outside, showed.

Speaker 5 (01:09:17):
Them some love, just like I thought they was some
mona be thugs. They knew I.

Speaker 42 (01:09:21):
Wasn't scared by the look in my eyes. I told
him about the father, said the Devil's Anne.

Speaker 32 (01:09:26):
Then I put the.

Speaker 42 (01:09:27):
Music up louder, loud, banging new tracks from my brother
Tommy Chopper.

Speaker 5 (01:09:31):
It was free indeed, and devil.

Speaker 14 (01:09:33):
Give me fifty fee.

Speaker 5 (01:09:34):
But I had to switch it up, and so I
hit them with the heat.

Speaker 42 (01:09:37):
Cruising down the street with my King James casting our demons,
breaking them chains. Went to the park to speak some truth.
Knuckle heads out there already starting to shoot.

Speaker 5 (01:09:48):
A car pulls up.

Speaker 42 (01:09:49):
Who can it be my little brother might and he
finally freed. He rolled down his window and he started
to say, if we plee the blood of Jesus, everything
gonna be okay. Because the boys in the church will
always pray if you're trying to change your life, trying
to get up the way we surrendered the Christ. So
we fill with the truth, Holy Spirit, and the lyrics.

Speaker 14 (01:10:08):
When I step in the booth, we ain't shame, We
ain't shame, We ain't shame, We ain't shame, we ain't shank, We.

Speaker 5 (01:10:29):
Ain't shame to speak the name of Jesus Christ.

Speaker 42 (01:10:31):
Had a brother hit me yup, he was going through things,
told him all about the Bible, told him get down
and pray. He was running from cop. He was running
from ies.

Speaker 14 (01:10:40):
So I told him, Jesus Christ, the only way.

Speaker 3 (01:10:42):
Is to stop.

Speaker 42 (01:10:42):
But he's staying in the streets because that's the way
he provided.

Speaker 5 (01:10:46):
He ain't hid, and he's trying to get paid. Little
did he know that they was trying to set him up.

Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
Cop pulled him over.

Speaker 42 (01:10:52):
Stop them boys from wearing them move because the boys
in the church will always pray. If you're trying to
change your life, trying to get up the way we
surrendered the Christ.

Speaker 5 (01:11:00):
So we deal with the truth, Holy Spirit and the lyrics.

Speaker 14 (01:11:03):
When I step in the booth, we ain't shame. We
ain't shame. We we we ain't shame. We ain't shame.
We ain't shame, We ain't shame to speak the name

(01:11:25):
of Jesus.

Speaker 42 (01:11:26):
Christ told them about hell, and I tell them it's real, cousins,
I'm saved and redeemed, just to do the Father's will.
My brother's out there. Stuff's gonna chasing dollars. Please understand
that you have but loving Father, he dell me where
the spirit. So yes, I'm gonna be fitting no matter
where I'm atlicks word.

Speaker 28 (01:11:42):
I'm gonna be speaking.

Speaker 42 (01:11:43):
The devil think he's said, and he's trying to kill
up people. That's why we on a mission to expose
all dece evil. We go to the black to try
to get in their head. Let them know the prices paid,
and they no longer dead. They blind and deceived and
they stuck in their ways. So I testify and tell
them how it was that I got said, like Jesus
is the truth. I want you to know he can
bring you back to life and give you some hope.

(01:12:05):
That's why you see us after. You're always ready to
shout with our hands to the sky, only praises on
our mouth, because the boys in the church would always
pray if you're trying to change your life, trying to
get up.

Speaker 14 (01:12:15):
The way we surrendered to Christ.

Speaker 5 (01:12:17):
So we fill with the truth, Holy.

Speaker 42 (01:12:18):
Spirit, and the lyrics when I step in the boot.

Speaker 14 (01:12:21):
We ain't shame, we ain't shame. We we we we
we ain't shame. We ain't shame. We ain't shame. We
ain't shame to speak the name of Jesus Christ. We
ain't shame. We ain't shame. We we we we we

the visit sharp. You gonna offer up more respect in
that dynamic than you gonna receive, but you're gonna receive
a level of respect.

Hey, Hey, Hey, what's up y'all? This year, girl Nini,
And guess what I'm locked in backstage with d L
and BAM and the hottest music talking topics on this
side of Heaven, all the funny you can handle on
d l's backstage past conversation to.

Speaker 1 (01:30:41):
Us, which I'm sure it is. There are some men
that are watching us, which I'm sure it is. They're
probably gonna be like, oh right, my dog, whish that
happened to me? And then it's gonna be the women
is gonna be like, oh, but here we go. I
was about fourteen years old, got me a little summer

(01:31:04):
job down in Arkansas. My little summer job was taking
the returned recycled bottles from the soda stacking them on
the truck of the owner of the store, the back
bed of this truck, I would stacked that. Then after
I was stacked that, every morning I would come in
and I would have to sweep the floor or the

(01:31:27):
lobby park where you go in and shop of the store.
I did all this before we even had nag customer
get that set up. Then I would assemble myself at
the end of the counter. I never could go back
behind the counter. I could go as far as the
end of count. And then if the person that came
in that was the registrar or the person the cashier

(01:31:49):
of the day, if they needed something, Hey, could you
go back in the back and see if we got
any more left? Or could could you go out back?
Or could you go up front? Could go outside and
grab the bag of ice?

Speaker 3 (01:32:02):
Anything that was a go for I was the gofer. Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:32:06):
And when you working like that close proximity and you
being helpful. I don't know if it's a South thing.
I don't know if it's a gender thing, interacting with
each other, but we all know when you work with
someone closely for an extended period of time, you start
to look at that person a look different. You start
like okay, and you start having little little which comes

(01:32:28):
small talk and look stuff like that. So the owner
of the store's daughter might have been about eighteen or
nineteen in from college.

Speaker 3 (01:32:39):
I'm fourteen fifteen, and.

Speaker 1 (01:32:42):
She's like, oh, I got it. A da da da
da da. So do you and get so she asked
a lot because she had never been out this little
small artist all the time. So she was asked a lot,
big city, the big city, and how did and do
you feel different when you come down here? And I
know you got a whole lot of girlfriends up and
can't see. No, I ain't really gotten that.

Speaker 5 (01:33:00):
God, you ain't got no girl.

Speaker 3 (01:33:01):
Look at you, Look at me.

Speaker 1 (01:33:02):
You now you lying to me.

Speaker 36 (01:33:04):
I know that.

Speaker 1 (01:33:05):
Nah, I really ain't got you don't like girls? H
what wait minute? Now he said that he I ain't
the problem with me liking the girls, me trying to
get them to likment back, you know. And she's like, well,
if you was down here, I would like you say
you would, but you you don't. You dare say that.

(01:33:25):
I just thought maybe up in college you had no that.

Speaker 3 (01:33:29):
Have you ever had your first kids?

Speaker 1 (01:33:32):
I mean I dabbled around a little bit, you know,
school dances. I ain't no your profession.

Speaker 3 (01:33:37):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:33:38):
You know, I don't get it on the regular, but
when I get it, I know what I'm doing, what
to do with it. And so she's like, oh, really,
when Daddy leave, I need to meet you in the back.

Speaker 3 (01:33:49):
Now, I'm my palm's.

Speaker 1 (01:33:50):
Gonna start sweating because if she had to been fourteen
to fifteen, I know what I'm doing, but uh, she's nineteen.
I need to write somebody a letter like you. You
know what I'm saying. But I'm sweating, I'm anticipating, I'm excited,
I'm nervous, I'm scared, I'm happy. I don't know. I
got emotions balled up in and so the boss came in.

(01:34:10):
He was like, Scooter, what is wrong with you?

Speaker 3 (01:34:13):
Man? You got a little jumpy today.

Speaker 1 (01:34:14):
You all right? And I'm thinking now that I got older,
maybe he thinking I got some stuff off in my pockets.

Speaker 3 (01:34:22):
Yeah, I'm fine, sir, We're gone, and put some stuff
back on the back of that truck.

Speaker 1 (01:34:26):
I gotta make these deliveries. You know, that little small
town back then, I'm fourteen, fifteen years old, they would
take stuff to the elders of the town.

Speaker 3 (01:34:34):
They can't get out, you know, get to the sea,
go and drop off the little bags of groceries.

Speaker 1 (01:34:39):
Put. Now you check your list, you make sure you so.

Speaker 3 (01:34:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:34:43):
So now she's smiling like you know, daddy leaves.

Speaker 3 (01:34:47):
I got you.

Speaker 1 (01:34:49):
Yeah. So we go off to the back. You know
they had them big old cow bells back then, not
the little know they had the cow bells.

Speaker 3 (01:34:56):
And when the door opened and.

Speaker 11 (01:34:59):
Clu glocal.

Speaker 1 (01:35:00):
So we go out to the back and I'm fourteen fifteen,
I'm probably looking at her almost eye the eyes. She's
still about a tad bit taller than me. She might
have been about at that time five seven is five eight.
I might have been about five six five seven ish.
But you know I'm tall enough to wear I tippy

(01:35:20):
toe this. I'm about this tongue kiss and uh so
she looked at me, she smiles, She like you ready
or you you scared on?

Speaker 3 (01:35:31):
Ready?

Speaker 1 (01:35:32):
And that girl laid a kiss on me. It felt
like it last for about seven hours. Did she grabbed
the back of my curves, slider down my neck, place
my other hand around her waists, and push.

Speaker 3 (01:35:55):
Even deeper into the kiss thing. Obviously, that kiss took
me to a place that I didn't hear. The tukah
tukah of the cow bell, and all I heard is
school on.

Speaker 1 (01:36:08):
The world and her daddy came in while we lift locked,
y'all gonna leave my star in attendant. I'll trusted you're
gonna do this to my daughter.

Speaker 3 (01:36:17):
Wait a minute, mister Johnson, what do you mean I
did this to your daughter?

Speaker 1 (01:36:21):
She ordered it go home. I told you your grandma later.

Speaker 3 (01:36:25):
Man, he made me walk all the way back to
my grandma's house.

Speaker 1 (01:36:31):
What you're doing off?

Speaker 8 (01:36:32):
Early?

Speaker 28 (01:36:33):
H h.

Speaker 3 (01:36:37):
Johnson fired me. He said he didn't need me no more.

Speaker 1 (01:36:42):
Find you for what. I don't know? You down there stealing?
No man, you down there assassin?

Speaker 3 (01:36:52):
What he ain't?

Speaker 5 (01:36:53):
Just told you to.

Speaker 1 (01:36:56):
About three minutes later, mister Johnson's truck coming up to here,
Tasha sitting in the package, got out of the truck. Hey,
what's going on? Then? Just won't let you know.

Speaker 3 (01:37:13):
I had to send Scooter back to the house. This
is why Tasha liked hold him in the back pooling
around messing. I just kissed him.

Speaker 11 (01:37:26):
Shut up.

Speaker 1 (01:37:28):
You know, back then you couldn't add nothing in with
another dose, telling you wait till they finished. When they leave,
you tell me your side of the store. I gained
you the opportunity to told me what was going on.
More of the story. A kiss a ball offense is
a fireball offense. And I found out about workplace romance
and HR department back in nineteen eighty something by mister

(01:37:53):
Johnson working at mister Johnson's store on my first ever
summer job, and that it is today story time with
the grill Z D L. Marshall, All right, what's up

(01:46:26):
around but Tammy this time. That just goes to show
you how dynamic of a storyteller I am. I just
knew that was true. Actually, what I did, I took
There is a mister Johnson. Mister Johnson had a store.
I never worked for mister Johnson.

Speaker 5 (01:46:42):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:46:43):
We did. Used to take some bottles and get some
nickels and dimes off mister Johnson, then turn around and
spend them with mister Johnson to get us some more soda.
We used to walk around skipping rocks. Come back up.
He did have a daughter named Tasha. That was far hard,
but that girl a bit more interested in my little.

Speaker 38 (01:47:05):
I just knew that was the truth.

Speaker 3 (01:47:07):
That just sounds so much like you.

Speaker 1 (01:47:12):
The art of storytelling is because I'm close enough to
what is perceivably can happen by those that consume everybody.
Everybody surprised, chat, I just knew you did that. I
was just like, when you tell I say, oh yeah,
that's true that yeah, oh wow, So therefore.

Speaker 3 (01:47:41):

y'all we uh, we got about three minutes.

Speaker 3 (01:48:49):
We're gonna get out of here.

Speaker 30 (01:48:56):
God, when I look back over my life and see
all God has done, I know a lot of doubt.

Speaker 1 (01:49:16):
Dude, God has blessed me.

Speaker 45 (01:49:19):
When I look back over my life and see what
I'm overcome.

Speaker 5 (01:49:25):
I know without a doubt.

Speaker 1 (01:49:27):
God has blessed me.

Speaker 5 (01:49:30):
Said, I may not have a house on the hill,
fancy car, but even still, I.

Speaker 21 (01:49:36):
Know God has blessed me. Said, I may not have
the best of health, never been known for riches, a weelness. No,
God has blessed me.

Speaker 3 (01:49:50):
He has blessed me.

Speaker 5 (01:49:54):
And my life a lot of asks. Oh Lord, yeah,
bless me, He has bless me. Bless me, Thank you
Lord A.

Speaker 48 (01:50:07):
Oh Lord, Lord, listen, said I may not drive a
brand new car for the one i'm me and has
gotten at this spot.

Speaker 5 (01:50:19):
I know without a doubt God has blessed me. Silver
and gold have I done.

Speaker 45 (01:50:27):
I'm gonna wait until my blessing car. And Lord, I
know and God has blessed me.

Speaker 19 (01:50:34):
He has listens, said, I knew what I knew.

Speaker 45 (01:50:43):
God has blessed me. And anybody been read ellis.

Speaker 41 (01:50:51):
Oh Lord, Lord, Lord.

Speaker 5 (01:50:55):
Let me tell you I'm blessed. I'm letting him. I'm
bless y'all. I'm better than blessed. When I want come
with small. I was closed in my right mind. My
family I don't care about it was too and blind.

(01:51:18):
I looked aloud, and all of them blessing.

Speaker 14 (01:51:23):
If we see.

Speaker 1 (01:51:25):
About all going on right now, the way the world is.
People that look like me, women that look like Tammy
Melani folk, black folk said loud. Let's stay black and proud.
Let's do the things that uplift our culture. Let's do
the things to uplift our race. Yeah, we're gonna have
some negative things. Yeah, we're gonna have some things that

(01:51:45):
we do that we're gonna say, man, why did I
do that? But let's get used to making normal. When
you see and make eye contact with another black man
black woman, speak, smile, say hello, because guess what, nine
times out of ten, the things you're dealing with, the
things you are out trying to forget, trying to overcome,
they are probably trying to do the exact same thing.

(01:52:09):
Might not be the same situation, but they trying to
do the exact same thing. Continue to pray, to pray,
ask God to give you insight on what it is
he would have you to do, who he would have
you interact with. Even with our business practices, let's learn
how that we don't always have to be the one
in charge. We don't always have to be the name
on the marquee. But let's work with each other. Let's

(01:52:30):
come together and be business partners. Let's make business practices
normalized in the black community because we need each other.
Were about to be put in a position where barring
sugar again, flower, and that's about to be normalized again, y'all.
And so if you got something that will help keep
another black man black woman's business in business, whether it's

(01:52:52):
you going there and patronizing them or just saying, hey, look,
you got a little something I need. I got a
little some you need. You ain't gotta give it to me.
But let's pull up in the parking lot and let's
do a pop up little something, and let's shop together.
Let's work together, network together, let's uplift one another. It's
room for everybody. That's because Tammy is modeling, and she's

(01:53:16):
considered the headline model. I guess y'all got headline models.

Speaker 3 (01:53:19):
But you ain't gotta get upset with her because she's
marquis She on the fly.

Speaker 1 (01:53:25):
Okay, she on this fly. But you make sure that
when you walk, your walk enhances the model that was
on the fly because she brought the people to see you.
So at least you can says I'm gonna be dynamic comedians.
You ain't got to be the funny one on the car,
the funny it's one on the car, But be funny singers.

(01:53:45):
You ain't got to make a run every time you
went to But we got to make sure we do
the things that is needed to be done to uplift
us as a Black community and our businesses and our
homes and our churches and our every day in her actions.

Speaker 3 (01:54:03):
Come on, now, y'all, don't go in the back room
with mister Johnson's daughter.

Speaker 1 (01:54:08):
He gave you a job. You don't be writing letters
on your girlfriends. Daddy to accepting and tolerating you dating
his daughter. We got to make sure that we're smiling
one with another. Now, there are situations where certain tribes

(01:54:30):
just don't get along with certain tribes. But you ain't
got to make it obvious, right, You ain't got to
make it an issue. You know how many people I
prefer not to interact with, and then when I see
him and it's a position to where we gotta interact,
I don't make it obvious. You say you a boss.
Everybody a boss now, but you're really a boss. How

(01:54:54):
are you interacting with people you don't like and it's
not obvious you don't like them. Sometimes, for the benefit
of your business, boss, you employ people that you wouldn't
go out and have dinner with because they good at
what they do. And that's what we gotta do as
a black community. We may not hang out go bowling together,

(01:55:16):
but dog go on it. I'm gonna make sure that
you are presented if I have anything to do with
it in the best life possible. Tell me, you know
I practice this. You know there are a few situations
and a few individuals that I would have been justified
and exposing some foolishness and some bologna malache.

Speaker 3 (01:55:35):
But I ain't got time for the rhythm.

Speaker 1 (01:55:37):
More so I went on head and made it appear
because I don't want to cut nobody's opportunity to be great.
Let me be a learning experience for you. Man, I
did this to this guy and he still treated me godly.
So that's our dudes, and don'ts on to day.

Speaker 18 (01:55:57):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:55:57):
You see somebody to day that look like you, grand
salute them. You say we kings, you say we queens.
Let's start treating and interacting Brawley, All right, Tammy, but
we get out of here. Let's see somebody said you
cheated over there.

Speaker 14 (01:56:13):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:56:14):
Now, I'm a man of integrity. If I'm a cheat,
i'd have been undefeated. Tammy beat me last week. Yeah,
how you writing it down?

Speaker 42 (01:56:26):
Deal?

Speaker 3 (01:56:27):
Temmy sees me writing all day long. See, we we
work together.

Speaker 1 (01:56:30):
And so there is something called smoking mirrors when you're
doing media. To y'all, it looks like I'm not doing
a thing, but we're always passing notes and giving you
and all that that goes behind the mirror, I mean
behind the curtain backstage.

Speaker 3 (01:56:48):
So yeah, certain thing. Thank you for not knowing that
because that means me and Tammy.

Speaker 19 (01:56:52):
Up on.

Speaker 1 (01:56:55):
All. Uh No, we just know you will, Sir Sad Warfair. Hey,
long as you got long as you know, you ain't
got to learn. No, Okay, that's another Felicia is another
one about Platinum backstage pass cardholder. Thank you, Jade, uplifting

(01:57:21):
one another and you know what uplift and understand uplift
and you can start rubbing it in.

Speaker 3 (01:57:29):
You can uplift people with understanding
