Welcome backstage to the hottest music talk and topics in
Side of Heaven. We're the most infamous gospel music show
that is running. That means we talk about everything. We
talk about it, we don't shy from it, and if
you make it public, we make it popular. That's how
we look at it.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
So I'm talking about it like it is.
Speaker 11 (10:34):
So man, how is it going out there? In Indeed?
Speaker 4 (10:38):
Man, it's going going good. I'm busy, busy, its ever hired,
but yeah, it's working. It's a love passion.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
So you know how it is.
Speaker 12 (10:48):
Yeah, So I see that you've been making some rounds
with a couple of notable names. How is your tour
going and how is it working? Uh, with a couple
of guys that you working with, and I'll let you
name them if you want to.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
I've just been great with everybody that I have worked with.
You know, that's far, you know in my career.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
I mean I've been doing this thirty years, had a
couple of running with some guys that you know, weren't
the greatest, but other than that, most people in comedy
good people, man.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
And you know, you know, been a great run. I've
been with all the big names. You've seen a couple
of them.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
Well you've seen Bruce, Bruce, Ricky Smiley from Counterview, you know,
work with the kings of comedy.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
So I didn't work with everybody in the in the business.
Speaker 11 (11:35):
Yeah, yeah, that's what's up.
Speaker 34 (11:37):
Man.
Speaker 11 (11:37):
Now I'm gonna get a chance to get you to
kind of tap in.
Speaker 12 (11:41):
You ain't got the name, no names, but I'm gonna
let you tap in on a couple of them situations
that you said wasn't too favorable. But man, I want
to make sure you know how comedians do when we
get together. So just treat this backstage as one big
green room, bro. So so I'm looking at it, man,
sweat that you'd have been on Depth, Jim, you know,
been on Comedy View. You know, worked alongside of our
(12:04):
Kansas City legend, mister Eddie Griffith, lou Nel Sad you
the entertainer, another Missouri funny comedian.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
Man.
Speaker 12 (12:12):
When I started here in comedy, I started back in
the nineties Stamford Comedy House, which is a place that
Eddie Griffith. They put him out of there, man, they
said he was too raunchy. And I always love Eddie style.
I came along within there. Eddie saw something within me
and he was like, man, I got to get out
(12:34):
that club, and I got to get out.
Speaker 11 (12:35):
Of Kansas City and Eddie was running his own comedy night.
Speaker 12 (12:38):
And I don't even know if Eddie remember this, because,
like I said, this is back like maybe ninety two,
maybe dating myself right now, but yeah, man, me too,
you round in my era, So yeah, man, there was
no time like doing comedy in the nineties.
Speaker 18 (12:56):
Man.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
It was free.
Speaker 12 (12:58):
You could say what you wanted to say, You can
say how you felt like saying it. Man, it was
like we was rock stars.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
We got paid good forward, we got paid good for it,
like we were getting I was getting seven hundred dollars
as an opening act. Yeah yeah, bru the headline today man.
Speaker 11 (13:21):
Now.
Speaker 12 (13:21):
One of one of my regrets is that I had
started having children before I got a chance to do
the Comedy Store. But some of the stories of Fat
Tuesday that I heard it got in me so deep
that I started doing comedy nights here to try to
emulate those fantastic, legendary Fat Tuesday rooms with Guy Tory,
(13:47):
another Missouri comedy guru. Man, But tell us a little
bit about how Sweaty Hands got going, how you got
the name sweaty Hands, and just bring us up to
speed with your comedy journey.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
First of all, I just get the name after after
the way the sweat hands is self explanatory. Yeah, because
when I got it, it's you know, it's I guess
it's some type of nervous condition to overact of sweat glands.
I've had it my whole life before a comedy. Right
when I got into comedy. You funny man, Now they
(14:22):
shake your hand, I was like, what's wrong with you?
So I kind of put it out there as a warning,
and I did it in Michael Collier. I was doing
the show with Michael carry. He said, they don't like
that in Hollywood. Them named kool Aid and Hamburger and
all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
They want you just use your name. I said, well,
I ain't no food or no drink.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
Man, you know, my hand sweat, so I do the show.
He said, Man, you funny. He shook my hand.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
He said, forget everything I just told you. Call yourself
sweaty hand. I feel violent, so my hands sweat basically
got you.
Speaker 12 (14:55):
Hey, that's all right, as long as I don't catch
you coming out the restroom and shake hands with you.
Speaker 11 (15:00):
You all, brother.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
I set a prayer for you. I set a prayer.
I set a prayer for you. I set this prayer.

the time to see that you were special and always
(15:46):

Speaker 11 (15:50):
I sing a song for you.
Speaker 35 (15:53):

Speaker 28 (16:31):
I spoke a word for you. I spoke a word.
I spoke a word for you.
Speaker 2 (16:41):

put a.
Speaker 28 (16:47):

(26:59):
You guys are so funny and dal is just slot
out crazy. Keep the last coming, y'all mem saying.
Speaker 12 (27:06):
So we both came up through in the nineties, man,
and we're still rolling. We're gonna roll through the nineties
to two thousand and twenty ten. Now we embark upon
the twenty and twenties, man, and we understand that the
time of the stage that we're gracing now is so
hyper sensitive.
Speaker 11 (27:24):
Have you changed any.
Speaker 12 (27:26):
Way that you have approached going about your routine or
you just like, let the chips come as they may.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
I tell the truth how I feel like it. I
feel like telling it. I do, you know, miss some
words that are offensive to people? Now, yeah, that weren't
offensive then, so I odmit those words, but it's still
the same.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
I'll tell how I feel.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
That's it, you know, putting it out because that's good
comedy when you don't censor it. And everybody like that.
You said we joked about Jesus. Come on, man, we
can't joke about nothing else genders this and that.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
I'm like, no, we can't do that.
Speaker 12 (28:07):
Everybody should be able to get it, and everybody should
be able to understand that it's the attributes, not the
inner person and everything.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
Every joke ain't for you, it's some other people out there.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
It's like when people go to church on Sunday and like,
I don't know what pastor was preaching about this week,
it was because it wasn't for you. That's right, people,
every week it ain't for you, man, And you know,
you know what sweating.
Speaker 12 (28:38):
It's like even if somebody cracked a joke about black men,
like you said, if I don't fit that criteria, I
don't care.
Speaker 11 (28:48):
I'm gonna laugh even if I do it. It's like
you go buy.
Speaker 12 (28:51):
Tickets to hear people give their humorous point of view.
We are commentators, we are laugh therapists.
Speaker 18 (28:58):
Man.
Speaker 12 (28:59):
If we can't laugh at ourselves, that's why so much
killing is going on as well.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
Exactly. So if people are sitting there and they talking
about dead be dad. The only people that offended or dead.
Speaker 27 (29:09):
Be Dad.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
Saying hit dog will holler that's right, that's right. I'm
cracking up at the joke.
Speaker 4 (29:17):
I'm like, yeah, because some of y'all need to step
off your.
Speaker 11 (29:21):
Right definitely, man.
Speaker 12 (29:26):
So we are backstage in conversation with none other than
hilarious comedian Robert Sweaty Hands Day And if you just
now getting in here, man, hurry up, sat down, stop
being so late, because one of the worst things to
do is step in the room once a comedian is
already on stage.
Speaker 4 (29:43):
So how you want mess en take away? These people late?
They've been late they whole life. You want to hurt
me on late?
Speaker 1 (29:50):
What they do? That's they thing?
Speaker 12 (29:52):
Hey, CEP time can either stand for Colored people time
or Christian people time.
Speaker 11 (29:57):
I let you pick which.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
One you want to ser No, man, you the hit
one with that one, right. You just covered everything everybody said.
Speaker 11 (30:08):
So man, coming out of Indianapolis, Uh, Indiana, how hard
was it for you, if at all, was it to
break on the main stream that you like you did?
Speaker 4 (30:20):
As far as getting on television was easy, as far
as getting into comedy clubs was not.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Because you was on Death Jam Comic View, you was
a hulum thug and they pretty much in you in
the clubs. Uh me And like most people.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
When I've never been intimidated by nobody, I'm on the state,
which even with you know, the big names. So when
I went to uh, Death Jam and BT. I came
back and gave everybody the information because they were like,
how'd you get on there? And I was like, well,
nobody helped me get on there.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Is what I did.
Speaker 4 (30:53):
I was watching the credits at the end of the night,
you know, after the show was over, paused it on VC,
wrote down the information called information and you know, did
the footwork and they say, hey, send it to the
talent coordinator for the show. Melt in the tape and
they invited me. I cut that out everybody. I came
back like, here, call this dude and sit in your
(31:15):
tape called the Ship, send her your tape and if
they liked it, it put you ont.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
It was that simple for me. It was simple.
Speaker 11 (31:23):
Now, who was hosting when you got on there?
Speaker 5 (31:25):
Was it?
Speaker 11 (31:25):
Was it still Martin or was it Joe.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Tour when I got on Depth Jam? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (31:32):
Or when I got on Death Jam, Ricky Harris and
uh and Joe Jordy Yeah, they were they were hosting.
Speaker 44 (31:42):
UH.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
When I got on Death Jam, it was really too
soon for me. I had just started doing Comtown Open Mic.
I told you, yeah, it was like two or three
weeks later I got Depth Jam and I was unprepared,
and I'm up there with Fedric Eddie all these people
who've been doing it for years, and they were the
(32:03):
people that asked, like, man, so how long do we
do a collgere? Like about three four months?
Speaker 1 (32:07):
They were like, what, I've been trying to get on
here for five years.
Speaker 4 (32:09):
You must be hilarious. And I bombed because I only
told jokes to Indianapolis. So when I got to New York,
I was still taking from like Indianapolis. I'm talking about, yeah,
stuff that Kroger that we ain't got Kroger.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
In New York.
Speaker 4 (32:23):
I was talking about the high school. We ain't got
the hospital. So there wasn't nobody getting none of the
joke right. So Sedrick was laughing, and Sedric told me like,
don't quit, You're too funny, too fast, even you didn't
learn the game, yep, and that that's a good enough
kept the same joke. But entered their high schools, their
(32:43):
grocery store and name it that haven't had a bomb
since been.
Speaker 11 (32:48):
Getting their jokes are universal once you learned that. And
that was a good nugget from Cedric.
Speaker 12 (32:54):
Man you funny too fast, meaning learn the craft because
they are also research and study techniques that you gotta
put in with it.
Speaker 11 (33:03):
Now, did your did your episode air? Did your set air?
Speaker 1 (33:07):
It did not air? So I took what he said,
and I said before I gave up, I said, well,
I'm gonna try. I'm gonna go to comedy semitate the
comic view. And they was too quick. They was like,
can you be here in.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
Three three weeks? He said, We're shooting in three weeks.
So now I gotta hust him, get the money, go
to California.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
They stop.
Speaker 26 (34:03):
I sure.
Speaker 28 (34:05):
This water drop the top and fill the sun on
my face, washing away.
Speaker 45 (34:08):

is staying your chains on my soul. Yeah, you set
me free, got me dancing in the fire. Yet I

Speaker 22 (35:33):

Speaker 9 (35:33):
The world call it love, but I call it your grief.
Speaker 20 (35:35):

in the crowd moves on. You're the one still here.

Speaker 20 (45:40):
Backstage bass Radio ship?
Speaker 11 (45:48):
Oh that boy can say, all right, welcome back man,
you see what it is.
Speaker 12 (45:57):
It is DL's backstage, and right now we have our
special guests for a few more minutes. Mister Roberts, Sweaty
Hands day, sweaty Man, when did you feel like, Okay,
I'm in the pocket and comedy has blown up? Like
you know, sometimes you're like, okay, that was a good set,
but I got to make sure I kind of remember
(46:18):
what I did. Then you start stringing again. But when
did you know Sweaty Hands had blue?
Speaker 4 (46:26):
I don't know when when I knew, but when you
know it, it's kind of when I tell people it
was like the Matrix when people kept telling Neil that
he was the one, and everybody kept saying it, and
you Neil didn't feel it when I kept dying a
bullets and then one day he stopped him and they dropped.
Speaker 1 (46:45):
When you have that moment, I'm on safe and I'm
killing it and you know, I'm no longer dodging the bullets.
Speaker 4 (46:52):
I'm now stopping the bullets, and I'm going like I
got this, and from now on it's gonna be like this.
Speaker 1 (47:00):
And I believe what.
Speaker 4 (47:01):
Happened is when I went to the Comic View. It's
really where I grew. I went to Comic View, and
before we signed a contract, we was in there and
the guy was.
Speaker 1 (47:10):
Telling us, like, y'all know why y'all here? This is
the best advice I.
Speaker 4 (47:13):
Ever got and that I ever give. The committey he said,
do y'all know why y'all here? And one of the
commedi said, we're henna make people laugh.
Speaker 1 (47:19):
He said, no, you're not.
Speaker 4 (47:20):
If you're gonna do that, you're gonna fail. He said,
what you here for is to have fun. If you
have fun, your personality would come out. And if you
got a fun personality, the crowd will have fun with you,
and then everybody's having fun, and then you would kill it.
But if you come out here and try to make
them laugh, then they don't laugh. Now you're gonna tell
a joke real quick to hurry up and get that laugh,
(47:41):
and you're throwing your timing off. And then you're gonna
bomb and then it's horrible for everybody. So just go
out there and have fun. It's like I took a
waight off and city to the side. I said, I'm
going out there and having fun. I went out there
and had the time of my life and I've just
been having fun on stage ever since. So the key
to all your new comedians, don't go out there dollars, cents,
(48:02):
money topics.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
Just go out there and have fun.
Speaker 11 (48:07):
Yep, just have fun and be you. Don't don't don't
try to be nobody else.
Speaker 12 (48:13):
Find what it is and your personality that made people
start said dude, you funny, you different.
Speaker 4 (48:18):
And sell it put it on stage, because you know,
doing the interviews I have home, Dan like, well, who'd
you ever try to emulate?
Speaker 1 (48:25):
I'm like, I ain't even trying to emilate, No, Mary,
trying to be the best me.
Speaker 4 (48:29):
I didn't try to be like Bernie Mack or Eddie
Griffin or I like the people, but I didn't try
to emolate them or be them. I was just trying
to be the best me I can be, and people
already know them. I'm trying to get d. L. Marshall
out there it's bad.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
Get tweaty hands out here that y'all need to know.
Speaker 12 (48:47):
Sweating man. I got a chance man to have two
books of d L. Hubley signed, and the first book
he signed for me, I said. I got up on
stage and I was like, bruh, I guess we got
a lot intertwined.
Speaker 11 (49:04):
I said, I'm a DL. This new stand up comedy
and new radio.
Speaker 1 (49:08):
You are.
Speaker 12 (49:09):
He said, believe it or not, that's more common than not,
and I was like, whoa And when he but how
I took that was I ain't got. I ain't got
the market of d L. Corner Comedy, cornered all radio.
Go be you like when you get on this stage.
You got the same task.
Speaker 1 (49:29):
That I had.
Speaker 12 (49:30):
And if you try to be anything like me other
than your initials, you will fail. And that made me
think about it when you said that guy told you.
Speaker 4 (49:38):
Just go have fun, go be, you gonna be fight
like it's free me because I was thinking, just like
you're saying, I'm gonna.
Speaker 1 (49:45):
Tell this show, I'm gonna telling that Joe and then.
Speaker 4 (49:48):
That, and I had my whole set up and they
ain't said have fun. I went out there unscripted, like
you know, what how y'all doing?
Speaker 1 (49:55):
What's up? And got comfortable and next thing though the
green light was on. My dang, I stayed up here
the whole time. Make it. They like the horse when
the red light come on, the time you get on
the shade, it's some people get on there like, hey,
how y'all doing that? That's the night? Get out here.
(50:17):
And I'm sitting up there and I'm like, right, still going,
it's going going, it's going. I'm like, you know, I'm like, wow,
I just survived fifteen minutes.
Speaker 11 (50:25):
Yeah, man, yes, sir. It's like something you just said.
It's like a playbook.
Speaker 1 (50:32):
Man.
Speaker 11 (50:32):
Like people ask me, so, how do you know what
you're gonna say before you?
Speaker 12 (50:36):
I don't, But you don't when you when you study
your playbook and when you're doing the right not when
you're doing the marketing or the stealing, which we'll talk
about that too, but when you're not trying to remember
what somebody else said, it's in you, so it's gonna
come out. And so what I try to do is
remember my playbook, and if I take off in a
direction and they feeling it, then I take jokes and
(50:59):
branches off of that subject that they feeling.
Speaker 11 (51:02):
And for you know it, you're going to hit that pocket.
Like you said at fifteen.
Speaker 1 (51:05):
Minutes, I don't know what I'm gonna say until I
touched the mic.
Speaker 4 (51:08):
Once I get the mic, it's like Gods, send the
words through the mic phone through my arm to my voice.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
Yeah, people like I ain't man, I ain't never heard you.
Speaker 4 (51:18):
I said all that was made up on face. I
ain't never said none of that stuff before. That's why people,
you gotta start recording, because next time, I don't know
what I said. Last time, it just you in the
moment there.
Speaker 12 (51:31):
Go, and that's when you know you in the game
and it slows down for you because it's been a
couple of times.
Speaker 11 (51:36):
I'm like, oh, man, did anybody record that?
Speaker 12 (51:39):
Like even if it's boys recorded, so I can go
back and study me, and I'm like, oh, I can
really change and put that. So, man, when you say
you are student of the game, I get it, man,
because I go back and I reformulate and I touch up,
and I'll be like, man, if I catch the defense
slant it to that side, I'm going, yeah, man, I
can talk comedy all day long.
Speaker 1 (51:58):
Bro.
Speaker 4 (51:59):
Oh God, several people that I knew personally when they
were not as rich in household name as they are now.
Like Mike Epps, you know he's from here, uh miss
pat Oh, I mean told you these people personally, and
I'm happy to be like, oh what about business? Like hey,
(52:20):
everybody got the old definitely on path. It happened, happening
and don't they don't. But I'm still happy for them,
Like dang, it should have been me and none of that.
Speaker 20 (52:43):
I know it was the blood. I know it was
the blood. I know it was the blood for me.
Why when I was lost? He died upon a cross,
I know you was call.
Speaker 14 (53:01):
Me yeah, and I said, I know it was.
Speaker 18 (53:12):

Speaker 22 (53:19):

Speaker 21 (53:32):

Speaker 56 (54:25):

the name of Kevin Taylor. And Kevin what he does

You, you supposed to pass it on.

as well in the in the comedy field. But he

I want you to talk to. So I'm like, man,
we got a little bit of time, let's jump on air.

Speaker 4 (01:09:30):
Comedians here with the Whiss Band, we just thought she
was just mean because you can't win with miss Pack.
She always got the microphone last. So people in the
audience trying to help, you ain't gonna win. If she
hosted the show, you ain't gonna win, and if you
headlined it, you ain't gonna win. She got she got
the mic last. But girlin't happy bird. And it's a

Man, And you know a lot of times people like that.
Speaker 12 (01:11:25):
They do that because when they see your evolution, they
realize that it's time for them to change or they
miss their time to change. So if they keep you
where you were, then they feel better about where they at.
But now we keep on soar and brother, we keep
on doing it. What is your favorite what has been

And this is to be in this fraternity called comedians.
Speaker 11 (01:26:06):
Man, it's hard.
Speaker 12 (01:26:08):
I mean, it's like people think because you get a
couple of jokes in the classroom or you make some
family members laugh.
Speaker 1 (01:26:14):
But boys, you can water day. It's different when you're
on th boy is different and the same.
Speaker 4 (01:26:23):
But these social comedian, social media comedians, you editing and
doing all this, and it's all fine and doing all that,
but when you standing in front of.
Speaker 1 (01:26:32):
A crowd with no equipment, you have.
Speaker 11 (01:26:37):
You better have the material you have to do it.
Speaker 1 (01:26:39):
Ain't no editing, ain't no clapping you and the people,
and the people gonna let.
Speaker 4 (01:26:45):
You know how they feel immediately I meeting, and I
mean it's funny. I like the people that do the
subtle bout you say something, I'm gonna bot. They weren't
doing that, and you hear your.
Speaker 12 (01:27:02):
Faith buy right, Hey, sweaty, I tell you the one
that really get me when the conversation get purposely louder.
Speaker 11 (01:27:11):
Like he ain't talking about nothing.
Speaker 1 (01:27:13):
Yeah, so the wings Like I was like, well, I'm
their money. They're not playing at all.
Speaker 26 (01:27:26):
People.
Speaker 11 (01:27:26):
You know our people, rough bro believe in the white class.
Look at you a black.
Speaker 4 (01:27:32):
Role and you can do a white room because you
can do black comedy. And they got a couple of
white friends that can do it. Y'all are massive. Yes,
the crab because y'all can do our room. It is
hard to please us and we're black man.
Speaker 1 (01:27:49):
You're white behind them, been trying to do it.
Speaker 11 (01:27:52):
White people give you a couple of courtesy giggles.
Speaker 6 (01:27:55):
Come.
Speaker 1 (01:27:57):
Smile, hey, But us we'd be like this, mm hmmm.
That's how you got it right. We came here from Ben.
Speaker 11 (01:28:09):
Or that one you got that brother just holding his
glass right here, he just.
Speaker 1 (01:28:13):
Got straw up to his lip.
Speaker 11 (01:28:15):
But it loves.
Speaker 1 (01:28:21):
But when you make him laugh, yes they do. Or
they can't get enough of here.
Speaker 11 (01:28:29):
Well, man, let me do this. I'm gonna I'm gonna
get your.
Speaker 12 (01:28:33):
Get your tape on Joe Thee's, I'm gonna get your
tape on the Chris Rock situation, and then I'm gonna.

send to see everything that's goings owned all right, so
let's get at it.
Speaker 11 (01:29:28):
We're done here.
Speaker 12 (01:29:28):
It a couple of times about how important it is
to have studied your craft to put time in in
this game called comedy. How important is it to have
your own material? And what do you think about those?
Speaker 4 (01:29:41):
That's still very important to have your own material, write
your own material. Stealing, Yeah, I'm gonna say it's a
part of the business.
Speaker 1 (01:29:50):
People do it.
Speaker 4 (01:29:51):
It's different types of stealing, stealing a joke that made
a winner on with your set.
Speaker 1 (01:29:57):
I see people do it. I think comedians say the same.
Taking somebody's whole set word for bade them. That's the problem.
Speaker 11 (01:30:06):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, man, I didn't.
Speaker 12 (01:30:09):
I ain't gonna say the city because I'm sure they
might remember, but I remember UH. Something went down in
the in the green room and an individual was called
uh and it just so happened to be in his city.
He was called by some family members and he's like, man, bruh,
you're doing your whole set. And it took off, and
(01:30:32):
I remember the owner of the comedy club at that time.
I was going by the name of Dallas J. And
how I got stuck with that name doing open mics
and people was telling me, man, you ought to do it.
So I said, if I do it and I bombed,
then people just know that name Dallas J. I never
anticipated not bombing, so I had to stick with.
Speaker 11 (01:30:53):
That for a while. But the guy was like, hey, Dallas,
you might want to go over to the park, just
telling my sitch. So yeah, it was the Furture movie.
Speaker 4 (01:31:04):
I was never worried about. I have a lot of
comedy to do that. It was kind of same with
the R and B singers. Whether they song don't go,
they would change that. I never worried about that part
of it.
Speaker 1 (01:31:15):
The only time I episode some jokes myself any.
Speaker 4 (01:31:18):
Time is when I was crossing over the clean comedy.
Speaker 69 (01:31:21):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:31:22):
I didn't have no material for church people, and I
told had had to build me and said till I
got to write my own. And then you know, there
was I got a.
Speaker 4 (01:31:32):
Joke for my brother Darren Perkins talked, ain't mad at me,
but uh, I get it ready for it. But I
wasn't ready for it, but people kept asking me for it,
and I said, all right. So then after I got
comfortable that's all I could do.
Speaker 1 (01:31:47):
I could do this for these people. And then I
wrote and it been been great.
Speaker 4 (01:31:52):
But I won't say I could joke myself too. But
it takes somebody's whole set from beginning to the end.
I don't seen people. I'm like, come on, you know
comics we know, and even people to go craik digging.
I think people I told you Robin Harrison. I think
the girl we was in Louisiana do a whole Robin
Harrison fact. And I've been doing the time like that's
(01:32:14):
Robin Harrison right.
Speaker 11 (01:32:15):
So it's hard to last. It's hard to laugh.
Speaker 4 (01:32:18):
At it, and I wouldn't have mind because it's a
classic joke. I don't want it to die. The new
generation ain't hurt it, so I get it telling the
old people, Joe, Michael call you do it tell old
people joke alert. I get it, But when you're trying
to pass it off as yours.
Speaker 12 (01:32:34):
Yeah yeah, And like you said, at least Michael Caller
gives you the alert.
Speaker 11 (01:32:40):
You know, Hey, I don't want to.
Speaker 1 (01:33:01):
What to tea.
Speaker 26 (01:33:05):
Oh my.
Speaker 28 (01:33:13):
Ma's helping him, waiting for the shot to say.
Speaker 24 (01:33:22):

Speaker 26 (01:33:40):

Speaker 7 (01:34:00):
Trusting your promise is untrue, has not a sound. Yeah
(01:34:30):
he's a go, he said, Sam, What mean.
Speaker 26 (01:34:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 20 (01:34:51):
You're not going to give him that situation like that.
Speaker 24 (01:34:55):
I am circumstanced you.
Speaker 27 (01:34:59):

Speaker 20 (01:35:03):

Speaker 18 (01:35:10):

know that he's get up.
Speaker 24 (01:35:53):
He's bunting enough remember saying anything.
Speaker 14 (01:35:57):

Speaker 18 (01:36:10):
A wait time.
Speaker 42 (01:36:13):
To know that, to know, not to know that, to know.
Speaker 20 (01:36:17):
But failure.
Speaker 68 (01:36:19):
I want you to know that the Bible says in
Jeremiah twenty nine, and the heaven God Heaven that's sticking
end of you.
Speaker 20 (01:36:27):
It is a peace and not evil.
Speaker 14 (01:36:29):
Right now, I want you to know somewhere in the
future you look much better than you.
Speaker 20 (01:36:34):

Day It's the hottest guy for music this side of
Heaven and all the funny you can handle on Deal's
backstage pass radio show man.
Speaker 12 (01:45:08):
Focus so sensitive. And the thing was, before I got
into comedy, we understood. You go into a show, you
got there on time. If you're sitting up front when
a comic is on stage, if you got to go
to the restroom, you either tried to hold it till
he was.
Speaker 11 (01:45:25):
Done, or you kind of got in the shadows and tried.
Speaker 12 (01:45:28):
To move real quick so he couldn't have nothing, and
you didn't wear nothing very identified.
Speaker 1 (01:45:33):
Don't draw attention to yourself.
Speaker 2 (01:45:38):
Man.
Speaker 12 (01:45:38):
I did a show at the Improv with Leonard Outsie
and with Leonard Oats and I'm sorry, and this lady
came in sweat. She had red shirt, red slax, red stockings,
red shoes, red lipstick with red highlights.
Speaker 11 (01:46:00):
Set right next to the green room door.
Speaker 12 (01:46:03):
So we on the wall, you know how the mproblem said,
were on the wall like this, and I'm seeing it
but I'm like, I'm an opener.
Speaker 11 (01:46:11):
I ain't fixing the step on the feature.
Speaker 12 (01:46:13):
And because I could tell the way Leonard was looking,
Oh my god, oh man.
Speaker 1 (01:46:19):
I'm sitting here and I'm thinking about a.
Speaker 11 (01:46:21):
Little oh man and look kool aid man went in
