(00:25):
Welcome to dirt Man talking tonight's story. We're supposed to be the Halloween special,
but you know me and I loveto arrive fashionably late. And this
one's from a friend of the show, Corpse Child from Over and Broddit's no
sleep. The Corpse Child is abudding author as much as a budding and
talented artist and has just taken partin the release of a brand new horror
(00:46):
magazine called Psychotoxin Press and the Editicquarterly horror magazine. Links for that,
of course, of down below ina description box. And I highly recommend
you guys and girls check that outof course, as please do let us
know what you thought down below inthe comments box. Please that I can
chat everybody does help build the channeland our community further. And why not
(01:07):
hashtag team fair and DMTS crypto crew. And so with that assign let's get
into tonightth story entitled Night of theknuckle Bitters. Let's get straight into that
(01:30):
full moon, flashing lights, loudass music, beer pot and the hottest
girls on campus every college boy's dream, right, Well, that was the
knuckle by his Empire Halloween party. This was, of course, on his
idea Ronald Edmunds knuckle by the Supreme, I'm rid of her parties and chicks.
(01:51):
In case you haven't picked up onit yet, Yes, we're a
bunch of dumb ass fat boys partiesonce a month in football games every Friday
night during the winter and three ofus me, Ronnie, Zach and Widehall.
We're about the most obnoxious frats oncampus at Western State University. And
we couldn't have cared less when wewere to football games. Like I mentioned,
(02:12):
Google in the cheerleaders or trying toand usually failing to score with the
checks that run his house parties. We're usually spending our time coming up with
the most extreme stunts and pranks topull off on campus. And when I
say extreme, we're not just talkingsimple spray painting, suck it or the
dean's car maybe we did do itat once, or hooking up a car
battery to the seats in one ofthe bathrooms so the next unlucky son of
(02:34):
a bitch will be on the hotseat when he needed to drop on.
No, we're talking more like actuallyfilling up and attempted to light off a
pot pouray of fire crackers in thetrack of Widell's old piece of shit four
pick up that was constantly breaking downevery two times he went to turn the
damn thing on and watching it goalbert a blast on a campus football field.
Even Arto at the very least tryingto dare random people to run across
(02:58):
campus in broad daylight. Bear asked, we lit sparkles in the hands and
chardon long live knuckled by the Supreme. Yes we were idiots, and yes
we probably should have been arrested afew times. To ask as to why
we haven't ever been since, Iknow you're wondering, Well, let me
emphasized the word attempt. You see, the downside was next to none of
(03:22):
these stunts actually worked. Le'd beone of them too. People, of
course, weren't interested in making aquick twenty box by running across campus in
a buff and at one time weactually tried the car bomb on the soccer
field acts. But down things werefucking duds and shot We were want to
be hot shots, even if wecouldn't never put off half the insane and
dangerous shit we came up with onthe regular. I know that was kind
(03:45):
of a lot, but now youknow who we were and why this whole
mess has turned things every which wayfrom loose for me. So anyway,
like I said, we were atRonnie's party. Me and Zach were both
nice and stone and would have bowhad brought by watching why dance or at
least try to in the middle ofthe living room with a few of the
girls while Ronnie was in the kitchennursing his high with as much as the
(04:08):
chips and junk food as he couldstuff into his mouth. As the two
of us watched, Zach turned tome and said, card man, chister.
Imagine what, dude, I asked, and he pointed to the girls
gathered around Widho. Imagine herself rightthere. We've followed them rubbing up against
you like that. I looked andsnickered. Huh yeah, hey, Widho,
(04:33):
back rooms all yours, he calledout. Widho glared at him,
still continuing to do his little shakingthing that I guess was supposed to count
him as dancing. I think hewas actually about to stop and walk off
somewhere else at one of the girlswill be A dropped at gorgeous babe that
had both mine and Zack's eyes bulgingfrom their sockets. Stopped him She was
(04:54):
tall meet him wide. It wasthe tallest of us knuckle biders, at
least six feet at eye level, and she was slim too, forming an
almost perfect abour glass shape from hershoulders to her hips. Whider was thinking
the same thing too, judging fromthe way in which his eyes were about
to shoot out of his own head, and she winked, bit her lip
(05:14):
and playfully took his hand. Gesteringto the back bedroom of Ronnie's house.
Whido stood still, looking caught offguard. I, being the good old
power I was decided to egg himon. Why oh, why oh,
why oh? And soon Zak anda few of the others around him joined
in. It looked absolutely embarrassed andit was hilarious. Of course, I
(05:35):
couldn't blame him. Now, thefour of us, Whider was always the
one we'd expect to always strike outwith the ladies. I mean, none
of us were really top notched catchesas far as that went, I'll admit,
but Whider had always been the responsible, or at least the most responsible
knuckle badder. Why it was atleast fifty one percent of reason we had
him hanging out with us while theother three of us were doing ship that
(05:58):
he get us, and probably us, if we're being honest, killed,
will be the one that will bethere, so we'd have at least a
slight chance of surviving whatever stupid stuntwe were trying to pull off at any
given moments. It's funny how thatworks, I guess. Well. Anyways,
there he was presented with this goldenopportunity. What does he do?
(06:18):
It stands there, jaw hanging openlike an idiot. A few other girls,
all just as hot as the onein front of him, then came
up and took his other hand withslight smiles of their own. Eventually they
managed to coax him to move, and that led him all the way to
the back room. Had a boyget him? Why? Guy? I
shouted. I heard the door close, and everyone turned down on music and
(06:41):
try to listen closely. We couldn'thear anything, and we figured, you
know, it's probably a nervous likeI said, it was his first time.
Eventually, though interesting, this startedto fade away. After about five
or so minutes were absolutely nothing happening, and the music was turned back up.
Another ten or twenty minutes went bybefore Ronnie came back into the living
(07:02):
room. Hey, what's going on? I missed something? Zach and I
grinned, Bro, you missed wideor score? I'm a chicks, I
exclaimed. His eyes grew You're abullshit Nah, dude, Zach said,
Ask anyone here, they'll tell you. He looked around at the crowd and
(07:24):
back to the two of us.Are you'd be proud? Who was it?
He asked, still looking skeptical.I shrugged, I don't know.
It was this really cute chick anda couple of her France. I haven't
ever seen him before. I don'teven think that actually from the campus.
His eyes got even bigger with shock, friends, he exclaimed, you mean
(07:46):
to tell me he actually learned morethan one at a time. Zach and
I both nodded, grinning excitedly. He stared in shock for another moment before
his face fell into one of outreach. Hold up, you need to tell
me that that fuck was getting ithome before I had my tone? The
fuck a lighting up, dude,Zach chanted, You've had all this time
(08:07):
to have your shot, and youdecided to pick out in a kitchen.
Lash shrugged in an agreement and toldhim you stay quiet, you bite it.
It was a little credo. Itwas supposed to mean something similar to
yolo. You know, you getone shot, you'd better take it.
Basically. Of course, this didn'tmean shit to him. That was always
a big, sort of unspoken rulebetween the knuckle by the Empire when it
(08:31):
came to parties. We could haveas much fun with whatever girl we managed
to get lucky with that night inthe back room, for however long we
light, so long as he gotthe first session. It was sort of
his own little bro code type thing. Even if it weren't exactly big on
the idea. We didn't usually opposeit, but I figured, like Zach
said, he had all that time, Plus it was White's first ever,
(08:54):
you'd think he'd be willing to cuta little slack right and Ronnie started stumping
up towards the back from Zach andI braced ourselves to have to hear him
scream at the top of his lungs. With Windel, we heard him shout
what the fuck. I could tellsomething was off, though, Oh god,
what the fuck? Zach and Ilooked at each other alarmed, before
jumping up from the couch and runningfor the back room. Zach reached the
(09:18):
room ahead of me, dude, what's Oh my god? I made it
to the rest of the way tothe room, instantly felt sick to my
stomach. The bed I was tornand cut up, and every inch covered
in rips and slashes. Also coveredin these from head to toe, almost
to the point where I couldn't evenrecognize him. It was Windel. It
was gasping and whizzing, even coveringup spurts of blood. On the wall
(09:41):
as well as on his chest andboth his palms was a pentagram windho,
I cried, pushing past the othertwo and rushing over to the bed.
Zac turned and wretched. N Hejust stood frozen in the doorway. Why
the weekly spasm while spitting out biggerand bigger spurts of blood. Why stay
with me? Man? I turnedto the others and shouted, what the
(10:03):
fuck are you standing there for?Go get nine one one on the phone.
We can't, dude, Ronnie exclaimed, What do you mean we can't,
dude? Are you trying to getus busted? He held up the
joint he had behind his ear. He's gonna fucking die if we don't,
and he still remains stiff. Dude, trust me, this is a hell
(10:24):
of an art worse than a fuckingpossession charge. Get the ambulance on the
phone now. I stared wildly athim, making it clear that I was
going to put my foot in hisass if he didn't. Reluctantly, yet
desperately, he ran back into theliving room to call nine one one,
also clever and out the rest ofthe guests. Zach grab me a towe.
(10:45):
He ran to the barroom and cameback with an old, dirty towe.
Here how we plug his wound?Which one? He asked? I
looked around. I almost wasn't sure, given how much his body had been
ripped up. Finally, I tellhim to wrap it around the pentagram on
his chest, and I carefully triedto perform CPR. I didn't know what
(11:05):
else to do besides that and tryingto prop his head up. Never really
had much knowledge on first aid andshow enough. This at least got him
to stop coughing up blood, andhe continued whizzing why happened? Dude?
Zach asked why do as if hewas going to actually be able to answer
that, and why? He gaspedharder and harder, like he was actually
(11:26):
trying to speak, but nothing cameout, though. Ronnie came running back
into the room. Okay, thereare the way? Is he going to
be? I don't know yet?Has everybody else gone? Yeah? Why
do? His body began to relaxand his eyes started to glaze over,
with his head lulling limply to oneside. Why, I said, shaking
(11:48):
him gently? Why do come on? Man, stay with me? I
could fill his chest relaxing under myhands. Who wasn't gonna make it much
longer? I started shaking him harder? Why do wide? Oho then resorted
again to chest compressions, stop onevery ten to fifteen seconds to give him
mouth to mouth. Nothing seemed tobe working. His heartbeat was so faint
(12:09):
by that point that I almost didn'tfeel it despite how hard I was pressing
in what I considered to be atrue stroke of luck, almost even work
of our miracle. I heard thesirens outside. That's them, Ronny said,
let him in. He and zactlyrushed out the room into the living
room, leaving me alone with arapidly faded Ten seconds later, paramedics flooded
(12:33):
the room and told me to handleit from there. Let was let out
the room while they started trying toprep him to be moved. My mind
was wrecked, to say the least. I mean, one moment, Chet's
fine and dandy, my friend's aboutto get his first lucky night with a
couple of hot checks, and justfifteen or twenty minutes later, he was
choking on his own blood of havingbeen moored by it what must have been
(12:56):
a big ass wolverine or something. This alone was to put me into a
frenzy, obviously, but what struckout to me even more were, of
course the pentagrams. Now, I'mno kind of religious, not by any
stretch. I grew up on atheist, but I wasn't born yesterday. I'd
seen shit like this before, bothon line and on TV. I knew
(13:18):
what a human sacrifice looked like. Not only this, but I also saw
the window wide open in the roomwhile I was trying to revive. One
thing I knew for a fact wasthat Ronnie never opened that window, usually
so he could keep the weed filmscontained whenever he was having one of his
turns with the back room. Andalso because I also knew no one else
(13:39):
was in there at that time,I knew this had to do with those
girls. They did that to him, and then fled out the window,
disappearing into the night. That muchwas certain to me, even then with
my brains scrambling worse than a panof X. What wasn't making sense to
me was why and or even how. Okay, so, maybe the chicks
(14:00):
were part of some crazy motor coldor something. Again that maybe explained the
penagrams, but even still, howthe hell could have done that to him?
While it was then rushed off tothe hospital as police then arrived at
a house arrest. Of our nightswere spent being interrogated by police. We
tried telling them the same thing I'vebeen saying here and that we don't know
(14:24):
shit about what went on in thatrun. But it was still one of
the four or five hours of themassaulting us with questions before they finally let
us go home. Zach running andI sped up from there and with them,
or at least I assume, goingback to the campus. Well,
I decided to head to the hospitalto check out. Admittedly, I wasn't
(14:45):
sure what I was supposed to expect. I would answer, hear that it
didn't even make it there, andI guess it was a relief then that
I stood corrected. They told mehe'd actually stabilized. The doctors told me
he was asleep and had been forthe past three hours. We almost last
him, the doctor added, chuckledhim tryingly. Perhaps whatever your boys are,
(15:05):
I had some powerful stuff. Whatdo you mean, I asked him,
Well, you saw him right, losing as much blood as he did,
plus several slash tendons and even oneor two slash artories. He should
have been it before we could gethim on the table. But he's still
kicking, sleeping now like a baby. He chuckled again when he said this.
(15:30):
I stared confused at him. Sorry, what's the meaning in disrespect?
Just astonished by it, that's all. Yeah, okay, whatever? Can
I see him? And he lookedat his watch. A free not power,
he said, looking up at meand tapping his watch. Come back
(15:50):
in about six hours. And withthat I turned I left back towards the
campus. On the way, Itexted Ronnie in Zach telling them the WHITEO
had made It was okay, andRonnie texted back, thank god, what
do you think could have happened?I texted back, telling him fuck,
if I knew it, must havereally wanted a rough huh. Two,
(16:12):
What the fuck a boys putting inhospital and you're making jokes? Ah?
Sorry? Seriously though, who werethose chicks anyway? You know him?
No, man, I told you, I've never seen them before. I
don't think they're even from the college. And how they find my place?
(16:32):
I mean, you know, aHalloween party was invite only right my start,
It was another enigma, one Inever even considered before. Then he
was right, We, or atleast me and Ronnie, had only told
us select few people that we wereeven having a party at his house that
night, and whoever we did allowon the guest list, we made sure
(16:53):
all four of us knew about it. We also explicitly stated a whole invite
only thing to the guests that theyweren't allowed to bring anyone else on it
either. Well again, that's howme and Ronnie did anyways, and led
me to one of them, who, if not me or Ronnie knew them
and invited them. The only optionswere a widow himself or b Zach.
(17:18):
I told this to Ronnie. Idud Zach would have known. I'll ask
him though. After that, Idrove back the rest of the way to
campus and headed back to my dorm, where I crashed out of sheer exhaustion.
And despite this, though I didn'tsleep well, I couldn't get the
image out of my head seeing whitesplayed out across Ronnie's bed like that,
all hacked up and with pentagrams allover him. And I woke up around
(17:41):
ate that morning, though, toa flood of texts from Ronnie two look
at this ship. Following this wasa Google link to a news article on
YouTube as well. There's about fiveor six different screenshots. Each one was
of the hospital. One or twoof them looked like the inside of some
of them we'll torn apart, stuffhaving been thrown all over the place like
(18:03):
a tornado that swept through, whileothers were of actual people haven't been torn
apart, and some of them didn'teven have much of them left anymore,
looking like hunks of bloody meats andbones scattered across the floor. Dude,
when was this taken this morning?Dude? Have you seen the footage yet?
(18:23):
I responded that I hadn't clicked thevideo. The footage of the hospital
from the photos appeared with the headlinereading brutal violence in the hospital at late
hours of the night, when Itwent on to show similar pictures inside the
hospital, along with people, patientsand nurses alike being whirled out of the
place. I see in a placefrom the outside, I realized it was
(18:45):
the hospital wider was in. Let'sput me on edge, causing me to
spend the entire video tensely waiting forit to reveal that have been mutilated again
along with the others. A womanthen came on screen. Only hours ago
this morning, Authority's responded to withdistress call from a member of the Saint
Land's Memorial Hospital staff. According tothe anonymous caller, screams and sounds of
(19:08):
the struggle were heard from the eastwing at a facility at The screen transitioned
then to a walk inside the hospital. I saw large scratches running across the
lamps of both the floor and thewalls. If Florita's claim to a ride
to what they described to be amadhouse and with herds of people clamoring out
of the hospital for their lives.Police officer Garden Lavaye is quoted in saying
(19:30):
that the situation was nothing short ofutter chaos. Then cut to the officer.
I was wild, he said,we pull up and we couldn't even
get into the parking lot because peoplewere scattered all over the place. It
took us almost twenty minutes to beable to calm enough people down to even
get into the parking lot, andthey cat back to the reporter when that's
(19:52):
what happened inside. This is whatOfficer Lavaille had to say, And they
caught back to Officer Laville and wecould finally get someone to calm down long
enough to even talk to us.The most consistent detail we could even make
out was something about a monster rampagingfood to place. We sent a unit
in, and things just went downfrom there at The footage then cut back
(20:15):
to the hospital with a recording thatplayed on the radio. Communications. For
about the first minute or so,it was the typical back and forth channel
between the inside and outside units.Suddenly, though I could hear the inside
units stall into panic as growling noisespicked up in the distance. From there,
it devolved into chaos, with theinside crew shouting frantically for back up
(20:37):
and firing their guns in a frenzy, and ground crew trying to discern what
was going on. The chaos escalatedwhen just about all I could hear from
the inside units side with screams ofpain, the growl in turning into straight
up roaring. Hearing this, Mimoblood freeze solid. My body was stiff.
I couldn't even move my eyelids toblink. I just had slack jawed
(21:00):
and my phone screen. As thereporter went on to say that no suspects,
human or otherwise were detained, thatthe investigation into the situation was ongoing.
Of course, this brought me nocomfort. All I could do was
wonder what the hell was growling inthe background and where it was coming from,
and what the hell had all thecops thrown down on a panic like
(21:22):
that? And what caused the destructionof the hospital, like what was shown
this? And what the hell happenedto my friend? And there was he
okay. Immediately after the news clipended, I texted running back, telling
him I watched a newsclip. Two. What was that? You heard the
ship in the background? Right? She was freaky? Yeah, I heard
(21:47):
it sounded like a dog or something, A big ass dog, A dog,
hot dog would be big enough todo all that, just trying a
place like that. I don't know, man, shit, That's just what
it sounded like to me. Imean, it's obvious. Whatever the fucking
thing was, it wasn't a persona true Still, though, I don't
(22:08):
even know how I could have evengot in. I mean, how could
it just have busted in like that? There usually some kind of security staked
out at the place. What thehell are you asking me for? Yeah,
but you were there last night, won't you? And I stopped?
He was right again, I wasthere only hours before all of this took
(22:29):
place. Everything was fine both whenI arrived and when I left. But
then, where did this thing comefrom? How did I or nobody else
see it? Yeah? I wasYou didn't see any quote unquote big ass
dogs there, did you? No, You're right, I didn't see anything
(22:49):
like that. What about that boy? Why you think he's okay? My
heart went into a frenzy. Idon't know, dude, he was out
cold when I left the hospital, doc said he pulled through by a miracle.
When I got there, they wouldn'tlet me see him, though.
I was going to try and talkto him today. Fat chance of that.
(23:11):
Yeah, well, hey, it'sout to Zach yet. Ask him
if he knew the guards from theparty last night and how they showed up.
Yeah, He swears up and downthat he's never seen him before in
his life before the party. Ibelieve him, like I believe you.
Yeah, But then how could theyhave known them? Dude? He don't
(23:34):
think? Maybe maybe why Doo mighthave invited him? Do you? He's
series? Why do I sooner believeit was you that did it before him?
Besides, why would he invite checksover just to mutilate him like that?
Well, I mean, if hedid know him, I doubt it
was because he wanted to get freakywith him like that. Hell, you
(23:56):
saw the panagrams right, coach it? You know? Yeah, I've been
thinking about that. You think that'swhy they were at the party, to
perform some sort of human sacrifice?Yeah? Possible? Why why? Doll?
Though? I don't know? Man, Hell, all I know is
I didn't invite them. You didn'tinvite them, and Zach didn't either.
(24:19):
That would have to leave him. Now, there's whatever the hell this thing
on the news was? Well,I know, man, shit's got me
screwed up in all kinds of differentways. Look, man, I gotta
go now, I gotta get readyfor class. That's Professor Rathburn's class today
too. Fuck me, Okay, let me know if something else fucked up
(24:41):
happens without me noticing. Okay, got it. Also, see if you
can talk to why them, seehow he's holding up. If he knows
anything. I'll try to, althoughI don't know how I'll be able to
do that. Why not, Well, when the patient's moved last night when
they were evacuating. Yeah, socheck less general, if they moved them
(25:04):
anywhere, it'll likely be there, right, since it's only about two or
three blacks away from Saint Leonard's.Okay, I'll try there after about two
thirty class. After that, theconversation ended and I looked at the clock.
It was only ten thirty. Idecided to spend the rest of the
(25:25):
time looking into both any possible Sataniccoast that might have been well known in
the area, as well as askingfor good enough measure a few they approved
VIPs for the party, if maybeone of them knew the girls and or
might have decided to invite them againstthe rules. On that end, I
got more or less the exact sameanswer that I gave to Ronnie. But
(25:45):
they've never seen or spoke to eitherof the girls before the party that night.
I didn't want to admit it,not at all given what happened,
But it looked like the un explanationfor how those girls have been showed up
to begin with was that Widel havebeen the one to invite them. Of
course, I could see where Ronniewas coming from, that he likely wasn't
aware of who they really were whatthey apparently had planned for him. I
(26:08):
mean, I'm the best serial killers, the ones you can't normally automatically look
at and say, yeah, something'sfucky with you, sir. But even
still that begs the question of howhe'd even known them to begin with.
Yeah. I keep harping on thefact that he'd always been the runt of
the knuckle binders litter, but onlybecause it was for the most cases true.
(26:30):
It was always the level headed onethat could counterbalance the insanity or the
rest of us three. You know, before that night, the kid couldn't
even land a day but to goor get a phone number at one of
our regular parties. But there hewas that night, at a Halloween invite
only party. There were two bombshelvesall over him, ready to take him
to Pound town. What happened inbetween, I would have believed it him
(26:55):
being a stroke of larkhore, atwist of fate if it hadn't ended with
him being fleet on my friend's bedlike that, another thing that struck out
to me out of nowhere, orsomething I hadn't even considered before and now.
Of course, I'm not kind ofexpert on wedgecraft or black magic rituals
or only shit like that. I'man atheist, But why didn't they finish
(27:15):
him that night on the bed?I mean, sure, it wasn't exactly
an isolated space surrounded by other people. One it was considered a miracle.
He was supposedly alive when I wentto the hospital that night, But I
couldn't help but feel it wasn't reallyluck that pulled him through. I think
about it for a second. Therewas at least a fifteen minute gap between
(27:37):
the time the girls led Widel intothe back bedroom at the time Ronnie found
him, and during that time noone saw or heard a damn thing.
In other words, there was farmore than enough time for them to often
and make out the window that theydid, with no one to do anything
about it. Yet he made it. I just about got the same results
(28:00):
as far as trying to research anyarticles about Satanian ritual murders in the area
just as well, I guess, like I said, they obviously know how
to do this shit without getting caught. And then I decided to look into
Wickan rituals in general, specifically onesthey're pertained to life sacrifices. For the
(28:21):
most part, there weren't many,at least not any with details they would
have been connected to what happened withWido at the party. Then, however,
I found something on a web pagedetailing the practice, a practical like
cantherropy. Skimming through the page,I was able to spot some of the
pictures of pentagrams being tattooed into people'spalms, sort of like a Brandon.
(28:44):
Apparently this was a community type ofthing too, people united under the belief
of what they refer to as werewolfmagic. Now, I bet don't know
what you're thinking when you hear that. I get it, trust me,
I was two. However, No, this apparently wasn't the practice of people
are actually transforming either the full moonor anything like that, at least not
(29:07):
under normal circumstances with this practice. For the most part, the people that
practiced this were more into the spiritualitybased transformations alice in a wolf as they
frequently termed it. Like I said, it looked relatively harmless, odd,
sure, but nothing extreme like whathappened. Or that was until I read
a bit more into a bit ofthe culture's history. Now, Apparently,
(29:32):
around the sixties and seventies, itwas a massive growing panic about stuff like
that a colt shed, similar tothe Salem witch hunts. Apparently people carried
a growing panic about wo wolves, and from what little bit I'd read,
apparently one of these supposed we wolfcolts, as the Post referred to them
as, was cut above the rustin terms of putting their practices into motion.
(29:53):
In other words, like what you'reprobably expecting here, this particular colt
was less interest in connections with natureor becoming one with the animal spirits,
and more interested in populating the earthwith we wolves I want, I tried
to look. Though the post didn'tmention any other cults or any members in
specific by name, although there waswas a short blurb about their little Master
(30:18):
we Wolve's plan and how that apparentlywent underground almost entirely after supposedly causing such
a panic, with thousands of peoplehaving been found mutilated almost beyond recognition.
No, their method of introducing othersinto the fold was just as interesting.
I read that this cold apparently observedthe specific ritual where they fully embraced their
beastial nature, embracing their rage andon bridal savagery, and exact their brutality
(30:45):
upon the new pledge until he orshe is close to death, by which
they will flee, leaving the pledgeto embrace their own savage nature in order
to not only save themselves but alsointegrate into their pack. I'll admits I
was lost reading this. I keepin mind the normal practice of practical lycanthapy.
(31:06):
It was an oddity to me nowhere I was. We're in some
shit they'd expect to see in ashitty eighties movie. Yet, how the
hell was I supposed to deny itas batshit? As any of this sounded
to me, I couldn't lie andsay it didn't add up, and will
started turning as a chill called upand down my back. It was all
(31:26):
coming together, the pentagrams with theside list of the marks on the palms
being a telltale sign of a whitewealth practitioner. The fact that why there
was still alive despite major blood lossand the fact that the girls had ample
time to finish him off. Mostof all the way he was apparently were
covering so quickly, and what wasthat in a hospital? By that time,
(31:52):
it was time for me to headinto class. You could imagine I
couldn't pay attention to a down thenthe professor was saying, Fortunately, I
think it was only a review day. Anyway, Afterwards, I made it
beline for ls General Hospital. Itwas about three thirty when I got there
and watered the desk and asked areceptionist to see widel name. She asked,
(32:14):
disinterested greg last name too, Sir, I sighed, I didn't have
time for this. It dies,Gregory dies. Whido Lawrence is my friend
and I wanted to check in onhim, so can you please take me
to him? She just gave mea blank look before rolling her eyes and
(32:35):
typing on a keyboard. Let's seewhy, old Lawrence, he said his
name was. I nodded, yeah, I'm sorry, sir, I'm afraid
we don't have anyone. It madeit here by the name whid Ol Lawrence.
My eyes went wide. What doyou mean he isn't here, I
exclaimed, and she just shrugged, still giving me that annoyed look. Are
(32:57):
you sure you check through all thepatient names? She sighed and turned the
computer monitor to face me. Lookhere, She pointed to a search bar
and tied him why it's name nothing. If he was here, it would
show up just now. I hatedfor you, But your friend he ain't
here, I sighed, exaspered readily. What was I supposed to do?
(33:23):
If he wasn't there, then wherewas he? I even made the mistake
of asking if Patience from Saint Leonard'shad actually been admitted there after red location,
and they saw me an annoyed groanand an exasper ready yes, And
I left after that. On thedrive back to campus, I texted Ronnie,
(33:44):
telling him why wasn't an Ellis General? Seriously? Yeah, I don't
know where else it be. You'reright about that being where they moved the
others from St. Leonard's, butnot him. Well, the news didn't
mention a ladd of them, didn'tmake it. You don't think I actually,
dude, I might have something evenworse. What I send him in
(34:07):
the link to the post on particlelikecanthropy and told him to read the section
on the w wolf. Of course. About ten to twenty minutes later,
he texted back, two, WTFwhy is this shit? Fucking were wolves?
Yeah, I know it's weird, but read the part about the underground
one, the ones that apparently wantto get others to join. Yeah,
(34:31):
I saw that kind of sick.If you ask me, I rolled my
eyes an annoyance. Really, Ronnie, you make jokes now, Dude,
that's kind of fucked up, don'tyou think? Well, yeah, I
mean it's messed up, but still, dude, I think that's what happened
(34:52):
at the party last night. Ithink they performed this ritual on him and
Daniel killed him, and now he'smissing and there's an incident at the hospital.
Craig Many seriously trying to tell meyou think why there was a well
wolf? Noah, I'm saying thatour friend is now missing. Most freaky
checks are still out there. Idon't know what's going on or where they're
(35:13):
held to look for him. Okay, calm down, man, here,
I'm going to call the police andtell him he's missing. I'll ask around
campus if they've seen anything. Okay, I had it back to campus now.
After that, I continued down thehighway until I spotted it out of
the corner of my eye. Therewas two of the girls from the party.
(35:36):
They were walking down the sidewalk, laughing about something. Because I was
so caught up with them, Ialmost didn't cash the fact that several cars
in front of me had all suddenlystopped at the red lights. I ended
up slamming on the brakes and narrowlyavoiding writ ending them. After catching my
breath, I watched the girls continuewalking into the nearby growth. It was
just a few miles out from thecollege. I thought occurred to me them
(36:00):
there must be the little meeting placethat must have been where they ran off
to that night after attacking Whitehall thatI wondered, what if they know where
he was? Now this in mind, I decided to pull off and follow
after them. Their pace was admittedlyfaster than I would have expected, but
that also meant it would be easierfor me to tell them without being seen.
(36:24):
I followed them across the bridge andinto the grove. They kept the
steady pace ahead of me, justenough where I could still see them,
but they are enough for them tonotice as long as they face forward,
And they kept walking deeper and deeper. The further I went along, the
more clustered I noticed the trees wereblocking off more and more the lights from
bleeding into the grove. I gotharder and harder to see both the girls
(36:46):
as well as the actual road aheadof me. Well I still had decent
enough lighting. I pulled out myphone and snapped a picture the two girls
and sent them to Ronnie, tellinghim I'd found them, that I believed
that they were hiding, some werein the grove, and I was shaken
off from my phone. However, when I thought I saw a large shadow
zip across the trees at the rightof me, I was fast when at
(37:09):
first I thought it was simply atrick of the light or something. The
girls were still directly ahead of me, slowly walking deeper and deeper until I
could just barely even make out theiroutlines. Looking at the clock, I
saw him panic that it was alreadygetting on a five foot five The sun
will be going down soon, andwith as dark as it already was,
(37:30):
I was going to be Painingly askedto try and navigate without turning on my
headlights, thus giving myself away tothe which girls ahead of me. I
had decided, having already snapped thephoto of them in the grove to show
to the police, to turn aroundand head back to the rest of the
way to campus. When this timefull on the left and up in the
tree line, I saw the largeshadow figure again and I washed it bound
(37:53):
from one tree to the next, beating down right at me with large,
burning yellow ice. The thing wasn'tjust huge either. I was fast.
It was keeping up with a carpace effortlessly. I mean, yeah,
I was keeping it relatively slow tobegin with so I could track the girls.
But even still, this thing waseasily keeping at least one tree ahead
(38:15):
of me and the car, andfor a while I came of focus fixed
on it, continuing further into thegrove. When I finally broke away,
though I looked forward again, thegirls were gone. In the split second
this moment had to setting. Thebeast from the trees launched itself at the
car, landing directly onto the hoodand damn, they're flipping the car over.
(38:37):
The whiplash caused me to end upbouncing my head both off the driver's
side window and the steer and whirl. Immediately my vision was reduced to clouds
and stars. As I watched thebeast and stepped down off the hood of
the car, I couldn't see athing of its face or anything else outside
of its yellow eyes. My headhad raw out before setting both of its
(38:57):
balder side fist down to smash thehood of my car again. That was
once again launched forward, once againslamming my face into the steering wheel.
And dazed, I saw the bloodform of the beast then rear back before
setting its gigantic fist through the windshield, grabbing me tidy by the throat and
hoisting me into the air. Nugguldhit the thing snarling, and I was
(39:21):
only being held just inches away fromits face that are vaguely made out the
shape of its head to be thatof a dog or a wolf. Oh
Jesus, it's one of them. It's a fucking wild wolf. The beast
then choked slammed me back down ontothe hood of my car, holding me
there until my vision clouded over completely. I felt my flaging arms then began
(39:43):
to go limp, and soon Iwas out like a light. The last
thing I could remember thinking was, please God, Ronnie, tell what you
call the carps and showed him thatpicture, and to my absolute shock and
amazement, I actually woke up again. I was groggy, and my head
(40:05):
throbbed and pounded, and by thattime the sun was gone and night had
completely taken over, making seeing anythingaround me almost impossible. I tried to
get up a move I only tofind my wrists and ankles have been tied
down. Ah, he's awake,I heard a soft voice say, giggle
him. I looked over to seethe leader of the three girls standing over
(40:30):
to the right of me. Theother two were standing at my feet,
one and a hell a grown starring. What is this where the fox's going
on? One of the other twothen squirreled and said I wanted to do
it patience. The main one chatted, this is his night. Remember.
(40:52):
She looked behind the other two towardsthe darkness and the rest of the grove,
and they're just barely silhouetted in thewill be a pitiful rays of the
moon. It was the hulk inBayamoff that had me only a moment to
go, I would stepped forward.I could hear its angered grounding as it
approached. Instantly I set about tryingto struggle against whatever it was that I
(41:15):
had been restrained too, but itwas no use. I could feel whatever
it was around my wrist and anklespainfully digging into them. I figured they
must have used piano wire or somethingto tie me down where they did.
Hey, let me go. Whatare you doing? What do you want
from me? My mind and bodyboth were locked in a frenzy. The
(41:36):
main girl came closer to me,grinning deviously. Ah, he's scared one
or the other two squilled. Thebeast wore closer and closer like I started
to feel its hot snarled breaths fromabout a foot away. Well, I
don't think he'll make a good additionto the pack, the other two said,
(41:57):
condescendingly. Enough, the main girlsnapped, he will make a fine
addition. He just needs to embrace, that's all, just like any of
us. The other two nodded toher in agreement, before looking back at
me and grinning embrace. I exclaimed, We'll wait, what are you talking
(42:20):
about? What are you doing withme? The same as what we do
for the world, the main girlsaid, smoothly. What the beast was
living over me? Now? Weare setting the world free, setting humanity
free, free from what from itself? You live in fear and weakness.
(42:43):
We are going to set the worldfree from this by ridding the world of
humanity, raising up a new generationof people's much better, much more elevated,
beyond human beings. And she slowlystepped away, and the beast took
another step towards me and began toreach down. I started to struggle again,
trying to keep from being grabs. And you embrace the staving beast within
(43:06):
you. You'll see then you'll seewhat will happen for you Lucky did for
your friend here. My eyes grewwith this, so so it's true.
It's actually fucking real. Wido,it's a fucking well wolf, Hey what
are you? And I let outa cry of pain, cutting me off,
and one of the beast claws delivereda stinger and slash across my cheek.
(43:30):
It felt like I've just taken ared hot fire poker across my face,
and the main girl chuckled only throughpain and injurious will you'll be able
to embrace the beast inside of you. And following this, the next minute
and a half was spending the mostagonizing pain I could ever feel in my
entire life, in the past orin the future. The beast Whido began
(43:53):
to mercilessly hack, bite, andslash, and just mindlessly tear me open
or across my body. My throatburned from how hard I was screaming the
only things I could hear over thembesides Widel's grouse or the girl's cackling,
And at one point I heard themain one say can you feel it?
(44:14):
Can you feel the beast awakening insideof you? And soon I felt my
arms and legs started to go completelynumb. My vision blurred once again,
and soon dark clouds formed across theoutlines of my eyes. Wide kept hacking
and hacking away at me, rippingbigger and bigger gashes open or across my
body. I was so weak bythat point that I couldn't scream anymore.
(44:38):
It lets out a very weak groaningfaintly. I washed. The girls then
approached Wide from behind, and eachdrew a knife from their pockets. The
main girl held up her hand toWide, stubbing him mid swipe. Enough,
she said, coming closer to mewith her knife, and she approached
me from her head while the othertwo gathered at either side. Help me
(45:00):
he must be marked for the packif he is going to join us.
And then I watched her and theother two look up at the night sky.
The full moon shone down upon thefive of us in the grove,
managing somehow to bleed all the waythrough the trees. That's when I watched
the three of them begin to transform. They groaned and cried out in pain
(45:21):
and adrenaline as I saw their bodiesbreak and reshape themselves until they themselves were
giant wolves like wine. It wasthen the four of them, all leering
down at me with yellow eyes inunison. The fur them raised up and
howled at the moon. I wasfading fast. I was already filling myself
(45:44):
slip in and out of consciousness. And then, with two of the she
wolves of my right and left, the main one in the center at my
feet alongside, I watched him plungetheir knives down into both of my hands
and my chest and began dragging theblades into the pain of a pentagram.
Despite being weak and my throat beingshot all to hell from white horse assault,
(46:06):
I couldn't hold back from letting outa shrill cry of pain. As
they slowly and agonizing they did this. When they were finished, they once
again rose up and howled at themoon. And by that point, pain,
blood loss, and just sheer exhaustiontook effect over my body and I
faded out completely. At this time, I was sure that that would be
(46:30):
game over for me. Unfortunately, though, as I'd find out in just
a few hours later, it wasn't. When I woke up, it was
the bright florescent lights and the steadysound of an EKG monitor beeping until my
ride was a tray of different surgicalimplements, some of them being caked in
(46:51):
blood, indicating they've been used whileI was out. My head throbbed horribly
and I went to move, andI found my wrist to be strapped at
the bed. Before I could panic, wondering what the hell the deal was,
the door to the room opened andthe nurse walked in. Wow,
look who's awake, she said, cheerfully, giving me ultimentally cute little smile.
(47:13):
How are you feeling, hon?I groaned like my head's in a
fricking blunder, and she giggled.I tried to raise my wrists where she
could see, asking Hey, what'sthe deal with this? Her smile fell
slightly. Well, she began noticeablyhesitant. You see when we brought you,
(47:36):
when you were well, let's justsay you were restless. She chuckled
awkwardly as she said this. Restless, I asked, and she looked at
me again, now noticeably a bitmore anxious. What are you talking about?
Restless? How hell? How didI even get here? And her
(47:58):
eyes were fixed wide me, youdon't remember anything? I closed my eyes.
The last thing that I could rememberwas the werewolf's howling of the moon
and carbon her pentagrams into me.Of course, I couldn't exactly say that
to her, could I? Instead? I told her that I just remember
going into the grove and blacking outafter a big ass dog attacked me.
(48:22):
Not a huge stretch of the truth, but at least head of a lot
more believable. Right, you don'tremember anything after that? She asked nervously.
No, I don't what happened. Before she could go any further,
the door opened again, and twopolice officers walked ten, eh, could
we have a minute, one ofthem until one, extremely stocky one asked.
(48:45):
The nurse nodded and got out toleave it, then turned to me
and said, Gregory dies, heasked. I nodded. My name's alf
as A Cordell, and this ismy partner, Towner. Officer Towner not
to me, looking concentrated now, greg Officer Cordel went on, I can
(49:06):
see you being through quite a night, and he whistled. Now, I
take it whatever happened, I alsoprobably screwed your head a bit loose as
well, And so I gets youprobably ain't really going to remember too much,
So why don't you tell us whatyou do? Remember? I was
following these girls into the grove.I stopped, realizing how creeping I sounded.
(49:30):
I looked at the officers and theyseemed concentrated on my story. They
were at a party at my friend'shouse the other nights and they attacked my
friend. Why to Lawrence to exchange? I look between each other before looking
back to me. Go on,Officer Cordel prompted. I was following him
(49:51):
into the woods when this giant animal, I think it was a giant dog
or something came out from the treesand the attacked me. So, hey,
doc did this, and he pointedto the pentagrames. No they did
the girls. No, No,it was this before or after the dog
(50:12):
attack, Officer A. Tanner asked, after look the dog or warfor whatever
it was, it attacked me WhenI woke up. The girls had me
tied down and will performing some sortof human sacrifice ritual war something. I
swear, that's all I remember.Look I can prove it. Look at
my phone. Officer Cordell raised hishands, cutting me off, saying,
(50:36):
whoa, Then calm down. Thestory is actually checked out so far.
I raised my eyebrows. Hey one, ear, little Powers called in an
anonymous tip about these three girls you'retalking about, saying they were responsible for
what happened to the Lawrence boy,and that you tracked them into the grove.
A nice one, by the way, but next time, maybe don't
(50:57):
try to go it alone. Hey, okable, Why am I strapped to
the bed. He exchanged another glanceto offer a tunnel, similar to the
nervous glances to nurse have been givenme earlier. Well, like I said,
it took a friend's tip and trackedyou into the grove. When we
did it first, it was ourcold. I figured we were too late.
(51:20):
It's cut up as you were andout of nowhere. Though, when
the ambulance tried moving you, youjust up and went berserk. My eyes
widened. What do you mean berzerk? I mean berzerk? Started growling,
scratching. Even better, Chunk outof two of the ambulances took me in
two other officers just to hold youdown long enough for one of them to
(51:40):
hit you with some tranquilizer before theybrought you here. My heart fell into
my stomach. I looked at mypalms again, seeing the pentagram staring back
up at me. Exact the brutalityupon the new pledge until he or she
is close enough to death, bywhich they will flee, leaving the pledge
(52:00):
to embrace their own savage nature inorder not to only save themselves, but
also to integrate into their pack.No no, no, no, no,
no, oh God, you're okaythere, son, Officer Cordel asked.
I didn't answer. I just keptstaring at my palms in horror.
(52:21):
The officers then stood up and turnedto leave. Officer Cordel placed a card
on the table next to me.Hey, you gave us a car.
If there's anything else you wait,I blurted. The girls, what happened
with them? You guys caught themright, Officer Cordel's face and side disappointment
gave me my answer. They werestill out there. He tell me they'd
(52:45):
be going to continue scouring the grovelooking for them, but that it wasn't
entirely likely they'd find them there, knowing now the place would be under investigation,
and they'd left after that. Thisespecial just yesterday. I've been here,
laid up at Ellis General. Sincethen. I haven't heard anything from
(53:05):
Ronnie or Zach. They still don'teven know about Widel. They still think
he's even missing or was killed inthe attack at Saint Leonard's. I'm not
sure I could tell them the truthabout it either. Like I said,
I'm no kind of believer in spiritualtransformation or whatever the hell it was called.
But I know what I saw inthe grove that night. What's worse,
(53:29):
now I'm one of them. I'vetaken me in as one of them
now, just like they did withWidel. I could it be a god
damn well wolf for the rest ofmy life. One night, a fucking
Halloween party, and now I'm afraidof the night. God, I don't
want it to turn night again. They've left me in my phone figured I
(53:52):
can't really do much damage with thatknobbing my hands strapped down while trying to
hold it. I need help.I don't know what to do other than
whenever they finally released me from thehospital. I'm just going to get in
my car and I'm just going todrive as far away is absolutely possible.
I want to be as far awayas absolutely possible if I have to live
(54:13):
this way. I'm just scared though, that I won't make it that long.
I'll be getting dark again soon, and I think the moon might still
be full tonight. I hate tosay it, but if that's the case,
then I hope to God these strapsat tight enough. Wow. Wow,
(54:40):
