(00:48):
It really does help with the channelI'm not community. Further and when
had hashtag Team Fear and d MTSCryptic Crew and so without a sign,
let's get into tonight's story entitled TheBlood Lands. Let's get straight into that
(01:15):
epilock. They're off the fine linebetween revenge and redemption. Part one the
beginning in Northumbria laid a small Normanvillage. King Philips and the North had
granted these Viking raiders this land afterthey fought him to defend his kingdom.
(01:37):
These Vikings were no longer conquers, nor did they seek to plunder. They
were farmers or raised livestock. Theyhad been about ten years since the plague
could passed and wiped out almost onethird of the populace. Mass Grave science
and burn pits were still visible. To the west. Laid the spars red
barren land without vegetation. The localscaught it the blood lands because of the
(01:57):
red or copper tint of the ground. Nothing but scrubs or weeds grew there,
and nobody could figure out why thisstrange were many a man chose to
settle there. A dozen or socovered carts and wagons rolled in mostly at
night. They contracted locals to helpbuild a very simple, large two story
home and with ten foot high timberwalls around it that extended out about a
(02:17):
hundred feet from the house. Theconstruction was done quickly and the locals didn't
complain because they were paid with coldA few locals had been a couple of
servants he contracted at work. Nobodyhad met the owner, and all they
knew is that his name was forStock. Shortly after the construction was completed,
(02:38):
more wagons would occasionally be seen rollingup the long, winding hill under
the cover of darkness. During theday, the locals would occasionally noticed that
some small stone structures they started poppingup on the barren hillside outside the gate.
There was anomalous look about this place, and the villagers tried to stay
away. Children were told to nevergo there, as lifesty go along with
(03:00):
people both young and old would occasionallygo missing from surrounding farms or villages.
Father David of the chapel near thecastle gates feared the worst and believed this
place to be of the devil. There were two homes that lay on the
outskirts of the Norman village, uncomfortablynear the blood lands. One was the
home of Helga, whose husband haddied of the plague several years earlier.
(03:23):
Her husband raised horses for the King'ssoldiers, and Helga was a saddle maker.
She was a tool, proud, statuesque Viking woman whose mother had been
a shield maiden. She now struggledto make ends meet with teenage daughter Lizzie.
The king had become greedy and paidless for his horses and saddles wide,
amanding more quality. Young Lizzie, now fifteen, was quite a beauty
(03:46):
tool like her mother, and withlong red hair and emerald green eyes.
Nearby lived Olaf with his wife Ingridand children beyond Eric and todder Gretchen.
Olaf was a renowned Viking warrior andhorseman. He tended his lifstock and helped
the struggle in Helga to maintain afew horses that were left for small cuts
of prophets from sounds of the King'smen. King Dorian's greed had also made
(04:11):
it more difficult for I would leftto sell his blacksmith goods to the king
for a prophet. Dorian was ahandsome man who took power at age thirty
after his wise father, King Marcus, had died from the plague several years
earlier. Dorian was vain and morepreoccupied with his own wealth than applied to
his people. His marriage to KingPatrick's daughter was arranged, and Queen Olivia
(04:32):
now several stayed in a place dueto King Dorian having a fetish for young
girls. When the queen discovered thetruth about him having numerous young ladies in
waiting, most still teenagers, sheleft to stay with her father, King
Philip to the north. Young Biornwas a tool, a muscular seventeen year
(04:54):
old with Scandinavian features. He wasblonde with blue eyes, but his eyes
were mostly focused on Lizzie when hisfather wasn't teaching him the blacksmith trade or
swordsmanship. The two had grown uptogether and there seemed to be a blooming
childhood romance building between them. Manywere sure that he would grow up on
one day marry. But even thoughLizzie really like Beyond, she had eyes
(05:15):
for the city of Life. Shewould swoon at the King's knight, too,
came to choose their horses. Onoccasion, her mother would take her
to the city to purchase supplies.Lizzie's eyes were always fixed on the palace.
She would tell her mum that someday she would live there and be
a princess. It was on oneof these trips that King Dorran spied the
young lass from his balcony. Hewas instantly filled with luston had his chief
(05:40):
servant go find out who this younggirl was. After a brief conversation,
the servant could tell that young Lizziewas a perfect candidate to grunn as the
King's next young concubine. The servantreported back to the King and divines to
plan the next time that there wouldbe a purchase of horses, he would
personally travel to Helgers and offer apremium price. He would then extend opportunity
(06:02):
for an internship for Lizzie to workin the palace and receive an education fit
for a princess. And two monthslater, the servants and two of the
king's men came to inspect the horsesand saddles for purchase. He offered four
times the usual warmount upon delivery. My Helger was shocked and asked why.
(06:23):
He responded that the king felt badabout her circumstance and to honor her husband
and the hard work, and toplease accept this generous payment. He also
said that a king would like toextend a special offer to Lizzie to come
live an apprentice in the palace andreceive a proper education. Lizzie became a
stanic and a face letter as shebegan to say, oh, mother,
(06:45):
please please, this is my dream, and over Helga's objections, she finally
agreed about a month after the fourharvest, she would take young Lizzie to
live in the castle. Part two, The Farewell Well. Young Bjorn learned
(07:08):
that Lizzie would be going away tothe castle or He was devastated. He
didn't want to eaton had a hardtime concentrating. At dinner, Father Olaf
explained some at this Gantle has materialeyes. She would never make a good
partner. Mother Ingrid put a handon his face and said, my son,
she dreams of things that we cannotprovide. I know you are heartbroken,
(07:30):
but there are many fine girls whohave eyes for a handsome young man.
You just don't notice because you wereso enamored with her. Byorn hung
his head. Besides, said Olaf, we have more things to be concerned
about. There are reports of animalsand even people missen. What could it
be, said Ingrid. Young Ericblurted out scrailings are possibly even drugs.
(07:57):
That is what the old vulva says. Nor Left snapped nonsense. Don't listen
to that old fool. He claimsit is he who put a curse on
the blood Lands. And Ingrid said, mind your tongue, Eric, you're
frightening Gretchen. But Beyond stayed silencebecause he never he had seen something he
could not explain moving through the treeswhile coming back from feeding the cattle one
(08:18):
evening, let's change the subject, said Ingrid. The harvest will be over
this weekend. We must plan andgo on away party for Lizzie. I'm
not going, said Beyond. Leftleaned over and said, son, part
of being a man is shaw inrespect when you don't like the circumstances.
(08:41):
Beyond held his head down and remainedsilent for the rest of the evening.
A party for Lizzie started at noon, with a few families in attendance.
Mom presented a leather doll that shehad made her before her father died.
She cleaned it up and put anew handmade dress and ribbons in his hair.
Darling, take this out of ourfinder of your childhood. But Lizzie
(09:01):
scow and said, mother, it'sa cheap door. Will be an embarrassment
for me in the palace when youcould see the sadness in Helga's eyes as
she fought back her tears. ButLizzie and merely began chatting with a female
friends and ignored her. Mum,angry, put her arms around Helger and
said she is but a child, and well one day cough at this door
(09:26):
that she matures, and Helga noddedand returned the hug. It was now
late afternoon when a horse drang coachaccompanied by four of the King's men on
horseback approached in a distance. Lizziefeel with excitement as she saw it slowly
drawing near. She had hardly spokea word and beyond the whole time,
and as the coach drop in frontof the simple house, the King's seven
(09:48):
and a handmaiden exited. They presentedLizzie with a fancy dress that she harriedly
went and changed into. She trulylooked like a princess in this fully green
grown that almost matched her eyes. She hugged her mom for the last time.
I looked over to Beyond and shepaused for a moment, as if
something tugged at her heart. Sheran to him and threw her arms around
(10:11):
his broad chest and said how shewould always care for him and never forget
the time they're spent together growing up. She kissed his cheek, and Beyond
said, do you remember how whenI was little one couldn't talk plain and
you didn't like it when I calledyou a wizzard? For a moment,
a tear formed in her eye,and she hugged him as if she would
(10:31):
never see him again. Then shewalked towards the coach. She put one
foot on the coach and then paused. She turned and looked at Beyond and
said, you know, I betone day you will be a prince.
Then she entered the coach and thedoor closed. Now her mother walked alongside
(10:52):
for several steps, holding the door, but Lizzie was totally absorbed in the
conversation with a handmaiden, and that'sthe coach disappeared. Helgor wept as Ingrid
and the other women encircled her,and Ingrid had promised to help Helgo as
much as possible. Young Beyond evenpromised to deliver the horses to the castle
that the king had already paid for. These horses would be of age in
(11:16):
a coming spring, and of coursehe secretly agreed to this and hopes to
get on a glimpse of lizzard. It was now late four and had appeared
a cold winter was coming early. They continue to be sporanic reports of lifestock
taken and occasionally mutilated. Carcasses werefound as the snow fell and the days
shot, and it seemed that theknights were darker and longer than ever before.
(11:41):
On occasions, unknown screeching sounds thatwere never before hurt would now resonate
through the hills. This sound chilledthe Vikings more so than are called winter
nights. Late one bitter cold snowblown knights in late February, aloud knock
came on O left store waking hereand Ingrid it was Harold, one of
Olaf's oldest friends accompanied by five othermen would torch us and primitive lanterns.
(12:09):
What brings you here in this freezingmidnight hour, said Olaf. The Nadsen's
two year old son has been takenfrom his crib, the mother said.
Two slight creatures burst through the window, grabbing him, and then scoured away,
barely making a sound or there washeard with the child screams for a
few seconds and then complete silence. Now the father and the small group are
(12:31):
following tracks that lead into the Bloodlands, but we must hurry before they blowing
snows covers or sign. Young Beyondwas out getting dressed, but his father
insisted is stay home and protect thefamily. Little Gretchen might be at risk.
I'll go with him. Son,ready, your bow and your sword.
Beyond understood and or latinly agree. The tracks disappeared before reaching a bloodlands,
(12:56):
and no sign of the child wasever found. Part three, The
Heartbreak. Let's get straight into that. Now the seasons had changed and it
was now early April and time forBeyond to deliver the horses to the King's
(13:16):
guard. He had looked forward tothis trip for a while and would wear
his best clothes and hopes of impressingLizzie should he see her. He was
charged with delivering three horses, whocould not leave until late afternoon due to
his chores, and so this wouldbe an overnight trip, and because his
mother didn't want him traveling at night, he would stay with Father David at
the chapel. He hugged his moma little Gretchen and left at the sun
(13:41):
slowly crept down upon the trees. His four hour journey would put him there
after dark. By the time he'dreached the chapel, which was on the
outskirts of town by the main road, monomonous blood red moon rose that put
a bit of a chair win tobeyond spine, but a warm sight of
so many candles burning and the chapelthose. It was a welcome sight as
it came into view. As beyonddismounted and tied up the horses of the
(14:05):
gates, he was met by thewelcome side of Father David, approaching with
open arms and a big hug.He called for a young in turn to
stable the horses, and led beyondhis side for a mill. You have
grown so much larger and stronger sincethe last harvest. When I saw you
how is your family? They arewell, father, But can you tell
(14:26):
me if you've heard anything about Lizzie. The father hung his head for a
moment, not knowing how to probablyexplain the situation without breaking john beyond spirits.
Well, I haven't specifically heard anythingabout Lizzie, but I did see
her one time and she looked well. But you must know that there are
rumors about King Dorian and his desirefor the company of young girls. And
(14:50):
Beyond looked puzzled for a moment, and then the gravity of what Father David
said sunk him. He was inraged and stood up as if he would
rush out the door towards the car. So Father David Campton down and convinced
in them he will require about Lizzietomorrow. You must rest so we can
get up early to deliver the horses. In the meantime, let us pray
(15:11):
about the darkness that has descended uponthe blood Lands and the surrounding area.
Father, The rumors about the eucradianceand droughts true. Beyond, there are
some things that are hard to comprehendabout the evil that has descended upon the
blood Lands. Did you know thatit was once a plush green landscape without
a chat, sitting on a hillthat I helped build when I was about
(15:35):
your age. You all look surprised, and said that his father had told
him about the vulva, that ithad put a curse on our land many
years ago. The father hesitated fora moment and then replied, Ah,
even that old witch cannot claim responsibilityfor what was happening there. Come on,
it's bedtiming. There is much morefor us to discuss tomorrow beyond.
(15:58):
His mind raised, and he barelyslept for worrying about Lizzie. What sleep
he did get was restless and fullof strange dreams about a man with a
hooded cloak holding an unusual sword. Many miles away on the far side of
the Blood Lance sat an old rundown farmhouse. Cries and sobs of a
young girl emanated from with him.It was Lizzie, and she was in
(16:22):
great pain as she lay and theold bed, bent over at the waist
and clutching her stomach. On hersecond week of the castle, King Doyan
was overcome by his lust for herand began raping her nightly. And she
had gotten pregnant, and just asmany other girls before her. He had
put her away in this old farmhouseand with this evil old woman. How
(16:44):
she cries last. You're one ofthe lucky ones, said the old witch,
Lucindia. You are about to havea miscarriage and you can go back
home after it's over. Lizzie screamedout in rage of pain and sadness.
This wasn't supposed to be happening tome. That bastard has ruined my life.
Lucinda responded, yes, lass youand many more. Why do you
(17:08):
do this for him? Screamed Lizzie. Well, Lassie, everybody has to
make eleven, she replied with anevil smile. Lizzie began praying, but
not to God. She began prayingto anyone or anything that would listen.
Please, I would do anything foranybody if you give me a chance for
(17:29):
revenge. And she repeated this manytimes, as Lucinda chuckled, saying,
don't waste your breath, Lassie.Nobody is listening. But Lizzie's cries and
please grew stronger and more impassioned asa pain and desperation intensifying. She thought
of her mother, She thought ofbeyond, She thought of how her dreams
(17:49):
were crushed. Most of all,she thought about how she would do anything
for a chance to butcher King Dorian. Suddenly, a cold wind hit the
old farmhouse, causing attempts to creek, and the window shutters flew open.
The front door opened, and anominous voice said, Lucinda, who do
(18:11):
you have here? And now thatone of the king's young horse. She
replied, no, I believe thisone is different. I believe this one
will serve me. Lizzie was suddenlystricken with fear as a shadow filled the
doorway to her room. It wasa tall, pale man with jad black
(18:33):
hair and a sinister look on hisface. Who are you, said Lizzie
as she strained to look at himin the dim light. I am count
for Stock. I hear you willdo anything for revenge upon the king.
Yes, she screamed in desperation asthe pain increased. I'll do anything you
(18:55):
want. Then drink this, hesaid, as he pressed to the bottle
with a dark tonic. She drank, and a minute she fell into a
deep sleep. He then put hishand on her stomach and someone loucender,
and she responded, what shall Ido with the remains of the bastard child
Vostock smiling. Some of my hordeis waiting outside. Throw it to them
(19:22):
and we can watch them fight overit. And he looked up at Loocender
and his dark, sunken eyes werenow red. Part four the carnage,
Father David and Beyond Rosalie for theshort trip to the King's stables. Upon
(19:44):
arrival, Father David sold Beyond toconduct his business and collect payments, where
he went inside the castle. Getsmeet me there later. I know somebody
I can ask about Lizzie. Beyondnodded, and the father set out for
the castle, and about an hourBeyond joined him near the gates. Ah,
I am sorry, Beyond, butnobody seemed to know anything, And
(20:07):
the last person to see Lizzie saysit was over a week ago. Beyond
shook his head at the sound ofmen shouting, and several horses approached.
There was three men from the Normanvillage, who Beyond knew they were frantic
and looking for Father David. Asthe crowd gathered, one mad spot of
the father and fell weeping at hisfeet. Oh my god, he said,
(20:30):
tis a slaughter. His arm pantedand tried to talk. It was
then the Beyond's eyes met Harold standingback in the crowd. He instantly felt
panic as he ran to Harold.Harold embraced him as Beyond de manded to
know what had happened. Father Daviddrew near with an and looked at Beyond,
my tears in his eyes. Beyondscreamed, somebody tell me what is
(20:52):
going on. Father David took hishand as the crowd now gathered around Beyond
in terrible has happened at your house? And help us? They are gone.
They are all gone, No,shouted Beyond, and he ran for
his horse. Harold quickly followed andmounted his horse, along with the Romanian
(21:14):
men to accompany Beyond. Arne wouldstay to explain what had happened to the
King's guard. By the time Howardand Magnus caught up to Beyond, they
were half way to his house. It slugged him down a bit and convinced
him not to run the horse intothe ground. They arrived at a farm
as the sun shone directly overhead. The scene outside was bad, with chickens
(21:37):
and goats slaughtered, but the scenecould not match way Beyond. On the
inside. Harold tried to hold theburly young man back, but he was
like a charging bull as he enteredthe house. The door it was off
its hinges, and things were strewnabout as if there had been a war
here. His mother lay by thefireplace, cut in blood, with huge
(22:00):
gashes in her neck and chest.Next to her on the floor laid up
headed corpse of a disfigured man.Eric's bed was full of blood, but
he and Gretchen It were nowhere tobe found. Neither was Olaf. Where
has my father? Screamed Beyond?Come with me, said Harold as he
(22:23):
led beyond a betrayal towards a hillside. Olaf's body lay next to a strange,
decapitated, pale, wrinkled man, still gripping his sword. Olaf also
bore the same wounds as his motherand was covered in dried blood. Young
Beyond sunk to his knees and wept. More people from the Norman village were
(22:45):
now arriving to comfort Beyond and helpclean up the mess. A searge party
had tried to track their assailants, but all signs abruptly ended deep in the
forest in the distance, with thesound of several of the King's guard followed
by Father David than a horse drawnwagon with a town physician, doctor Leo.
Beyond was now crumpled on the stoopin front of his house. As
(23:07):
Father David rushed to comfort him.Beyond looked up with tears flowing and asked,
whided those things that my father killed? Doctor Leo to who the King's
guard were led to the location ofthe bodies by Harold. We will find
out, said the father. Fornow you must come stay with me.
(23:27):
I cannot leave the farm. Myfather, he would want me to take
care of. Magnus knelt down Beyond. Everything is gone except for some cows
and your father's horse. We willtake care of them. Please go stay
with Father David. Father David responded, is someone taking care of Holger's remaining
(23:51):
horses? Yes, said Magnus.Well, said father, I must go
there and pray, but first mustbless this place with the holy water and
prayer. We must bury the dead. Doctor Leo approached and said, yes,
we must burn those aboming nations. Now the villagers gathered to late Ingrid
(24:15):
and don't have to rest on thehill overlooking the farm. Father David said,
Beyond, get your belongings. Tisvery important that you come with me.
It was now late evenings. Beyondtied his horse to the back of
Father David's wagon and laid down andhey the King's guard accompaniment back to the
chapel. Doctor Leo. Beyond asked, have you ever seen anything like those
(24:38):
creatures? And the doctor hesitated andresponded, well, they were exampled the
bodies of those who died from theplague, but which they don't understand how
they were able to able to dowhat they did. Beyond began to sob,
as he would called hugging little Gretchen. Fatheravid replied, it may not
(25:02):
make you feel any better right now, but he can assure you your family
is in Abraham's bosom as we speak. That maybe true, Father, but
whatever or whoever did this, theymust pay now. I look fell upon
Beyond's face that made him appear tobe much older than his youthful seventeen years,
and his persona completely changed. WhileFather David and two other King's guards
(25:27):
stopped to bless held us home andperform the bury, Old Beyond picked up
Lizzi's door and clutched it. Itwas nightful as the wagon pulled out to
the castle gate for doctor Leo toget out you wish Beyond Wow promised to
check in on him. Beyond wascompletely silent during the short trip back to
(25:48):
the chapel. Young In turn,Thomas put away the horses and wagon,
His father, David, and Beyondmade their way inside. They sat down
for a meal, and Beyond bellyate. Father David spoke Beyond, there
is much I have to tell you, and it won't be easy. You
were adopted after being found at anold church that once sat on the blood
(26:10):
lands. Beyond's eyes flew open. You have a birthmark? Do you're not?
On your left chest over your heart? Is it a crude star with
a cross inside it? Yes?How did you know? Because it is
I who found you and took youto olf in Ingland, the old evil
Vulva made a deal with the devilto curse that land to prevent the missionaries
(26:34):
from finding a church. There anunusual winter lightning storm destroying the church.
Now it was there hiding in fearuntil I heard a baby crying. This
baby was lying on the altar withan unusual cloak wrapped around it, with
a black sword and dagger next toit. That baby was you, and
the cloak was made of a strangematerial, and it has two slits in
(26:57):
the back. What is its purpose? Said by I do not know,
but they protected you from the fire. Beyond puzzled over this, as the
father said, watch Father David presentedthe cloak and held a torch to it,
and they would not catch fire.We have even tried to pierce it
(27:18):
with a bow and arrow, tono avail beyond. You must tell no
one about this cloak. The kingwere confiscated immediately. This is too much
for me, oh, laughing ingriedare my parents? Yes, yes,
they are m Sellier. Their firstbornson died in childbirth. They instantly fell
(27:41):
in love with you and raised youas their own. But have you ever
wondered why he was stronger and bigger? It were better eyesight, better hearing.
Your father said that when you werehunting, you could sense the animals
or even people before anybody saw orheard them. Hi, I don't understand
(28:02):
this is this is too much.Part five The Manner. Lizzie woke up
in a dark room, laying uponmusty smelling quoats of a creaky bed.
The pain in her abdomen was nowgone, but her head throbbed. There
(28:22):
were black curtains over the window, and the light was dim. Although it
felt like morning, there was afear of perpetual darkness to this place.
But her eyes could see wow,and she could hear distant, muffled voices
as if they were next her.She shut up in bed as a knock
came on the door and a voicefrom outside said, Madame Elizabeth Master requests
you at the breakfast table. Elizabethwas her given name, but nobody had
(28:47):
called her by that name since hergrandmother. She wasn't weak from her or
deal and felt energizing a way thatshe never had. She emerged from the
bedroom to the dim lights in thehallway. She realized that she was up
and an old house. She couldsee that she was dressed in knee high
black leather boots and blood red silkpants. She also had a fine,
long sleeved white silk brouse and withruffles in the sleeves. She made her
(29:11):
way down the steps, full andgraceful, like a ballerina. She felt
as if she had almost floated. The smell of cook food filled the air.
A small pay your skin man mether and said, this way,
Madame Elizabeth and led her into alarge dining room and seated her at the
end of a long table. Againwent to the other end and slid out
(29:33):
a chair as a tall, darkhaired man from the Old Witch's House entered
and took his seat. He lookedat the servant and said, that is
all leave us, Madame Elizabeth.I am Count Vostock, and you're at
the blood Land's manner, unlike yourstay with King Dorian. You are free
(29:55):
to go, and you are freeto stay, but if you will have
your revenge, you must stay andserve me. Elizabeth responded, but I
need to see my mother. Idon't understand how I can serve you.
My dear. I am sorry toinform you that your mother is dead.
(30:17):
She went to the castle demanded tosee you, and met her ill fit.
The king sent his men to takethe rest of her horses. Lizzie
was enraged and her hated for theking grew stronger. Vostak said, about
ten feet away, and a smallsmile formed at one corner of his mouth,
Dear Elizabeth, you must be famished. Please eat. In front of
(30:44):
her was apparently wine and meat cookedround, but she ate it ravenously as
she ate, She felt even stronger, and she felt her hate for the
King Dorian grow. What is happeningto me? She asked. Vostok summon
that served with a mirror and gaveit to Lizzie. She stared dumbfounded at
her reflection. Her emerald green eyeswere now black, her once red flowing
(31:08):
hair was now white, and herbrow thickened. The sinister wrinkles covered her
face. Lizzie stood up and screamed, what have you done to me?
Vostak replied, I have granted yourwish. You wanted vengeance, Now I
have provided the means. She satback down and calmed herself for start,
(31:30):
leaning forward and said, did younot want to be a princess? Now
you have the chance to be aqueen? What a queen of the damned?
She responded, you don't understand whatyou see here is only temporary.
(31:51):
When our work is done, youwill live in a palace or the servants
and fine things you can ever dreamoff. And what must I do?
She responded, First, you mustprove yourself by carrying out a few simple
tasks. Once you have completed thesetasks, you will become my queen.
(32:13):
When we consummate our relationship, youwill have more power than you could ever
dream off. You can make Kingdorry and your pet, or you can
shred him to pieces. It doesnot matter to me. He is a
weak fool who has allowed himself todisgrace the kingdom his father built. Sir,
(32:37):
what do you want me to do? Said Lizzie. Help me feed
my heart and spread my kingdom beyondthis barren hill. Help me lure some
villagers here. Some will be food, some will become subjects. You are
much stronger than my heart, andwith your looks, you will be like
a siren, pulling the stronger manhere for me to convert. But but
(33:04):
I look evil, she responded, look at yourself in a mirror again.
Although her hair was still white, her beautiful face and returned. She was
puzzled, and Vostok said, Hungeror anger will can torch your face.
Keep your beauty by quenching your hunger. Please eat more. Soon you will
(33:28):
crave more than meat from cattle. You will crave human flesh, and your
transformation will be complete. And Lizzieate and drank her fill, not knowing
that the wine contained the human bloodconcoction. Now for Lizzie asked, who
are you reallying? How did allthis happen? I am down Vostok,
(33:52):
and I was a physician, analchemist to the Romanian throne. When the
plague struck, the king's family starteddying, and he told me that he
would reward me with anything my heartdesired if I could find a cure.
I began to experiand with Cadavus, who had died from the plague, and
then I contracted the disease, andI knew that I was going to die.
(34:15):
So I began experimenting upon myself, but nothing wort, and I became
weak and desperate. One night andknock came on my laboratory door, and
it was an impeccably dressed man whosaid he could help me find the cure,
but it was a condition. DidI must work for him and I
(34:37):
could have my own kingdom. Iagreed, and he gave me a vile
of liquid to mix with infected blood. What I found was a syrum that
transformed me into a god. Andas I grew stronger, I kept my
word to the king. I injectedhis young son with a syrum, but
it was too much. The childcame a monster, trying to attack everybody,
(35:01):
even his mother and father. Theking had to kill his own son,
then turned his rage upon me,and I killed a king and his
gods, and then I went intohiding. When I came here, I
heard that there was an old wizardwho despised the church and wanted to keep
the old ways and watch of theold gods. He claimed he knew a
(35:25):
blood spell that would curse the landthat the first church was built upon.
What he lacked was their right bloodfor the spell. I provided my blood,
and he performed his spell and sprinkledmy blood around the church. That
cold night, an incredible thunderstorm came. The wizard was sure that a lightning
(35:46):
was sent from the gods, andthen a terrifying boat of lightning came to
destroyed the entire church except for thealtar. I must admit we ran for
alle, but the very next daythe grass and vegetation began to die in
the area began taking on a coppercolor. The church was abandoned, and
(36:12):
I made a generous offering gold tobuy the land. Several villagers were also
glad to build this house for afew pieces of gold, and after that
I slowly began to bold my kingdomand rusher in my flock. I selectively
picked people who lived alone or werehomeless. I fed them food with my
(36:32):
serum, and over the years theybecame my subjects and brought me more followers.
Part six, The Avenger Let's getstuck into the Let's Beyond. Awoke
from another sleepless night for the strangedreams. Father David knocked on the door.
(36:58):
Come get breakfast, Beyond. Wehave much to discuss at the table.
Beyond handed Father David the money onthe sale of the horses here,
he said, I'm sure Miss Hegelwould want the church to have it.
The father nodded and smiled, saying, you have a good heart, young
Beyond, but today we have somechores that may be difficult. The Father
(37:20):
David had the wagon ready and broughta bundle containing the cloak, sword and
dagger. Come beyond, where Igo into a secluded place. On the
way, I must tell you therest of your story. The wagon left
the chapel and turned onto a narrowpath a few miles from town. Father
David said, listen to me,Beyond. This won't be easy for you.
(37:43):
You know how I told you I'dfound you and took you to Olaf
and Ingrid. Beyond nodded, andthe father continued. What I didn't tell
you is that I was staying atthe church on that night. I heard
a chance in sound and peeped outat a window to see the old vulver
the strange man spreading something on tothe ground. It was only minutes until
(38:05):
I heard what I thought was impossible, an extremely loud crack of thunder in
the dead of winter, followed byheavy rain and lightning. For fear of
my own life, I called upin the corner of the cellar and began
to recite the Lord's prayer. Aboat of lightning hit the church and shattered
a very foundation. On They heardthe sound of things crumbling around me,
(38:25):
and suddenly there was silence, silenceexcept for the sound of a baby crying.
I dug out from under the rubble, and to my amazement, the
only thing left standing was the altar, and there on the altar was a
baby wrapped in a strange cloak, lying next to the sword and dagger.
(38:47):
The closest house was Olaf and Ingrid. It was dark when I knocked on
the door and presented my small bundle. Ingrid immediately took the baby from me,
and I told them the story. They agreed. They would say that
they didn't know Ingrid was pregnant, and how this baby prematurely, how the
village was so sparsely populated at thattime they probably wouldn't see any people until
(39:10):
spring anyway, And so Beyond, that is your story. Beyond sat in
silence on the wagoner's father. Davidpulled up into the clearing on a hill.
This is as far as we go, said the father, and grabbed
the bundle, and they wore fora while until they reached the top of
(39:30):
this big hill. The father,David, laid the bondle on the ground
at Beyond's feet and backed away,Young Beyond, I do not know what
will happen, but you must putthis cloak on and take this sword in
hand. When the father was wellhe felt a safe distance away, he
nodded up Beyond and said, goahead. It is your destiny now,
(39:53):
and Beyond benob and slowly unwrapped thecloak, hesitating for a moment, put
it on and took the old blacksword in hand, And within seconds his
body writhed with paint, and hewas thrown to the ground by some unseen
force. He came up on oneknee, holding the swords hilt in one
hand, and would a point tothe ground. The hood from the cloak
(40:15):
was now over his head and withhis chin in his chest, the sword
studded a shimmer, and the lettersand etchings on the blade were now clear
to see the material of the cloakseemed to glow, as etchings on the
fabric also appeared. The cloak seemedto be alive, and suddenly a bolt
of light in struck the ground.A set of wings started to protrude from
(40:37):
the slitters in the back of thecloak, and Bjorn suddenly stood up.
He pulled back the garments over hisleft breast, and the birthmark was now
glowing white. Bejorn's eyes wide andglowed white also. He held the sword
over his head and took two largesteps to the left, where he cleaved
the six inch tree in half, and Beyond was no longer the young that
(41:00):
came to this hilltop. Father Davidslowly approached Beyond Beyond. You do you
hear me? It's Father David,And Beyond slowly turned his head and said,
yes, yes, it is youthe one who was ordained to find
(41:21):
me. The father nodded his headand said, yes, somehow I know
that too, So tell me,Beyond, what is that next step?
Father? I am confused, andI feel that I must be alone for
a while here in the forest,to find myself, to find my purpose
(41:42):
and discover my abilities. I understand, my son. You know you always
have a place to stay with me. Beyond smiled and said, I will
see you at the appropriate time. There are many things I must learn,
many things to discuss. I willfast and meditate. It's like it's like
(42:05):
many voices are in my head tellingme different things. Father David smiled and
said, Beyond, your your voicehas changed. It's much deeper. Now
your face has maturedren You no longerlook like a teenager. And now I
believe you have grown a few inchesand put on a few pounds. You
must be add least six and ahalf feet tall now. And Beyond nodded
(42:29):
and said, thank you Father, thank you for all you have done.
But you must leave me now. This part of the journey is for me
to take a loan. Father Davidnodded and said, God speed Beyond my
doors and my arms are always openfor you and beyond. So he walked
(42:49):
into the frist and disappeared into thefoliage. Father David now headed back to
the wagon or his return trip tothe chapel. Part seven. The Siren.
Madame Elizabeth wore a black cloak wouldhave hood over her head to protect
(43:13):
her sensitive skin from sunlight. CountVostok chose not to come out at all
during the day because the light wastoo much for his eyes and skin.
Elizabeth mounted a horse and slowly rodeabout the countryside in search of the weak
and vulnerable, or some lonely manwho would become armorous at the sight of
her. Rumors grew about the tall, beautiful, white haired woman who rode
(43:35):
through the countryside. One by one, men fell into her trap, but
she would flirt and entice them toa private place. She would render them
unconscious and then take them back tothe manner, bound and tied. One
night, at the dinner table,Count Vostok stood and raised a glass in
toast to Madame Elizabeth. She alsorose to hear him say the following,
(43:59):
My rank have swollen, and youhave brought many subjects into the fold.
But there is only one more thing. I need before you become my queen
and you get your vengeance upon KingDorian. I want Father David from the
town chapel brought to me. Lizziefelt sick at the prospects of doing instead
(44:21):
the man who had baptized her asa child. But my Lord, why
Father David, Why not anybody else? And besides, have I not abducted
anybody near the city. What ifI'm spotted or captured? Mustock scowled and
said, my dear Elizabeth, areyou having second thoughts about your heartfelt desire
(44:45):
to score the man who held youdown and raped you, then bound and
sodomized you. And please do notforget what he did to your dear mother.
Lizzie for a surge of pure ragerun through her veins. As her
blood pressure rose. She could almosttaste the hatred in her mouth as she
raised her glass and drank, saying, yes, yes, I will do
(45:08):
this my lord and my King.Vostok smiled and drank again. Please,
my love, sit, eat anddrink foot Tomorrow you make your plan to
abduct the Father while he sleeps inhis very sanctuary. It was late even
(45:30):
at the chapel when a loud knockcame to the door. Father David felt
in his heart that he knew whowas there. He opened the door to
the smiling face of Beyond lay embraced. The father led him into the kitchen.
It had been almost a month.Hark, you must be starved,
Yes, I am, said Beyond. On the way here, I thought
(45:52):
about this very kitchen. The fatherquickly sat out of feast and beyond it
almost everything. So tell me,my son, how are you things clearer
now? Yes? Father, itis an evil in the blood Lands that
must be cleansed. The father noddedand said, I have disturbing news.
(46:14):
It's strange and sinister. A beautifulyoung woman rides through the countryside on a
white horse, enticing young men,and well they never return. Young girls
are also suspected to have been takenby her. Even the old and sick
are missing. The villagers are infear, and many patrol the area at
night to protect their families. Also, King Dorian has fallen ill, and
(46:37):
some think that one of his youngvictims may have poisoned him. Beyond nodded,
Yes, I have heard, andI fear that I know who this
strange and beautiful siren is. Afather was silence as he stabbed Beyond,
and Beyond hung his head and said, my heart of hearts tells me that
(46:58):
it is Lizzie. A soul isvexed. Father David's eyes fell wide and
disbelief. How can this be?This woman is reported to have white hair
and dark eyes. She wears kneehigh leather boots and fine riding garments under
a black hooded cloak. Bjorn responded, she became pregnant after King Dorian violated
(47:21):
her. He put her away tohave a child, and something terrible happened
in her anger and pain. Shemay have made a dill an agreement with
an evil that we do not understand. What can I do? Said the
father. I know you are friendswith the head of the King's God.
Seek him out and beseech him forhelp. Yes, you mean Captain Gerard.
(47:46):
Oh, he is a good manof honor who understands what a wretched
king has become. Well, Iask if he can be prepared to send
troops to the blood Lands if necessary. Most of all, see if he
composed guards here at night. Ifear that you are in danger. Cart
will protect me, said the father, And Beyond grasped his hand and said,
(48:09):
what is it that you used totell me? God accomplishes his works
through those who believe. Father Davidsmiled and said, so you are listening
to at least one salmon to night. Father, I would like to sleep
in a bed, but tomorrow Ineed my horse and a few supplies and
a bed roll before I head tothe blood Lands. Of course, my
(48:32):
son, said the father, Andtomorrow morning I will see Captain Girard.
Early the next morning, before dawn, Father David awoke to the sound of
Beyond riding away on his horse. The father made it a point to go
see the captain first. They discussedthe troubling events, and Captain Giervard agree
(48:53):
that he should post to guards atthe chapel for a while. He also
agreed to prepare a truth of histo inspect the situation at the blood Lands.
And since the king had felt ill, he hardly took notice of paid
attention to events. When the firstnight of the chapel was uneventful for the
guards from a distance, Madame Elizabethhid in the shadows, formulating her plan.
(49:19):
The following night, Father David madesure to pray for Beyond and the
people in the countryside. He evensaid a prayer for Lizzie and asked for
a miracle to deliver her. Itwas now bedtime and he in turns blew
out of all of the candles, and the chapel was almost dark had their
front entrance. Two guards arrived attheir pointed time for their all night shift.
(49:40):
Lizzie tied her horse far away fromthe chapel, but for her it
was just a short run. Witha newly found strength, she had thrown
many of a man over her shoulderand made away with them. The Father
David was a small man and wouldbe on no consequence for her. Lizzie
nap crept closer to the chapel. She decided she would scale the wall,
(50:01):
using her heart one inch nails togrip the stones in the wall, and
she climbed suddenly like a cat, until she reached the window in the middle
of the chapel's top floor, andthe shutters were closed, but her long
nous jimmie the latch. She openedthe shutter and crept silently down the hall.
Using her keen night vision, shequietly opened the door and discovered the
(50:25):
two intern sleep. The next roommust be Father David's. But how would
she escape with him? As sheopened the door and there laid this kind
man. She was about to dothe unthinkable. She mustn't allow emotion to
stop her from her mission. Shewas now mostly a creature of the night
(50:45):
doing Vostok's bidden She was about tobecome a queen and exact her vengeance upon
King Dorian. And she crept suddenlyto the bed and rolled up Father David
in a blanket and wrapped her ropearound him. She gagged his mouth with
a cloth and turned it off alongwith the rope, and order was heard
was Father David's muffled screams as theinterns ran out to see this two woman
(51:08):
running down the back steps with thefather over his shoulder. They ran screaming
too the front entrance and alerted theguards, and one guard ran quickly to
tell the night guard at the gate. The other guard ran as fast as
he could, but this woman, she ran like a deer, and he
could not catch up at all.All he heard was the muffled please for
(51:29):
help, and have sounded a horseriding away. Part eight The Horde.
Let's get straight into that. Allleft his horse and the thick trees near
(51:49):
the blood Lands. He were togo on foot and figure out way to
confront Vostock, and as he stealthilycrept among the rocks, he could smell
them death and rotten the air.He would occasionally see figures moving in the
distance that wanted to avoid detection aslong as possible. In the distance,
he could hear the heavy footfalls ofa horse approaching rapidly. He hid behind
some boulders and tuned his senses toother sounds and smells in the area.
(52:15):
He crept, seeing perfectly in thedarkness until the Manner came into sight.
There were many candles and even torchesburning outside. This was unusual because he
had reconned this place many times learningto layout. But tonight he sund something
different in the air. An approachinghorse are now slow and was coming up
(52:36):
the narrow trail that led to theManner. People all creatures were now starting
to emerge from the stone structures dottingthe hillside, and suddenly he heard a
distressed voice of Father David. Hewas on this horse, saying, please,
Lizzie, this isn't Drue. Letus stop and pray, a crass
voice that did not sound like Lizzie, he knew, responded, it is
(53:00):
too late for that, Father,I must deliver you to the Master.
Father David then cried out, PleaseGod, have mercy upon her soul,
and as she knocked him unconscious,Beyond's mind raced as he prayed at the
same time, not knowing what todo next. The horse was now slowly
(53:22):
ambling up this hill, no morethan a hundred feet from him. He
could rush Lizzie and knock her offthe horse and make a run for it
on her horse with the Father, but dozens of these night creatures would swarm
him, and while he fought them, Father David might perish. There was
only one thing he could do,and that was to confront Lizzie, or
(53:42):
the person he used to know asLizzie. And as the horse drew within
ten feet, Beyond stept out underthe trail with his cloak over his head.
Lizzie froze, and for the firsttime in a while, she felt
true fear. At that instant, several of the creatures rushed Beyond from all
three sides. Beyond drew his swordand it shimmered and seemed to reflect upon
(54:05):
his cloak. The first two creaturesto meet him, were immediately decapitated at
the waist. One from the otherside had its neck snap as it tried
to jump onto his shoulder. Theothers now stopped their advanced that they saw
what had happened. They gazed atthe sword as it shimmered in unnervely colors.
Suddenly he felt something hid his back, and sharp teeth tried to penetrate
(54:28):
his cloak. He reached around, grabbing a handful of thick white hair,
and flung Lizzie to the ground andthere was total silence. Now. She
looked up at him and was astonishedby what had just happened. She squinted
her eyes, trying to make outhis face as he pulled back his hood.
I feel like, hey, Iknow you. Who are you?
(54:52):
And Beyond responded, what's the matter, Whizzy? Have you forgotten me?
And her black eyes flew over fromalong with her mouth exposing her sharp teeth.
Why how is this possible? Shesaid, Oh, but it is.
I am here to rescue you andendless evil. And she hung her
(55:14):
head and said it's too late forme, and tensed her body like she
was about to pounce, and Beyondpulled something from inside his cloak. It
was the doll that Lizzie's mother madefor her, and Beyond through it to
the ground in front of her.She saw it and immediately began to weep.
Clutching the door. Her eyes startedto turn back to the normal color.
(55:37):
Even tense of red were appearing inher hair. Then she shook her
head and said, Beyond, II must kill King Dorian for raping and
killing my mother. That's all thatmatters, Lizzie. It was Vostok's horde
that killed your mother and my familyon the same night I saw the carnage.
(55:59):
It was not the King's doing.Besides, he's very sick. They
believe that one of his young victimsmay have found a way to poison him.
Her eyes flew open and a differentkind of rage filled her father.
David was now awake and spoke fromthe back of the horse, Lizzie,
Please, who have been bringing innocentpeople here to help Vostok build an army
(56:22):
of bloodthirsty night creatures. It's nottoo late to stop, and it's not
too late for you to right thewrongs you have committed. Search your heart.
You know that Bjorn loved you throughsome their vne miracle. He is
here to save you, and shehung her head. There's more of her
humanity crept back him. But thatmoment was cut short by the evil voice
(56:44):
of Count Vostok as he shouted athis minions to attack. Captain Gerard and
forty of his best man were nowriding like the wind for the blood Lands.
The thundering sounds of their hoofs wouldhave been audible to be on,
but he was now rushed by ofthese creatures of all shapes sizes. Vostock
leapt at least thirty feet through theair, landing in front of Lizzie.
(57:07):
He backhanded her, knocking her withsuch force that her feet left the ground.
She came to a rest on alarge stone. He loomed over her
and said, how dare you betrayme? I was given you everything you
ever wanted, She screamed, liedto me. Your monsters killed my mother
(57:28):
and Blunt's family. She seethed witha righteous indignation that she had never felt
before. She pulled her knees upto her chest and let out a double
kick with all her might that sentVostock ten feet through the air. Vostock
was totally caught by surprise as heshot at his feet. His eyes glowed
(57:49):
red with anger as he shouted,I will gout you like a perk.
He pulled a saber from his beltand lunge for Lizzie, but before he
could swing down upon her, Beyondstepped in front with his sword and blocked
it. He threw a large daggerto Lizzie, said, help me out
with these creatures. Vostock is mine. Lizzie leapt from behind Beyond with his
(58:13):
dagger in hand, and started dispatchinga horde one by one. As Beyond
and Vostock squared off, unknown toany of them, Lizzie's horse had become
spooked and ran down the hill. With Father David Steel tied on there with
the sound of him being bounced breathlessby the horse, he could inhear the
sound of many hoofs thundering towards him. The horse instinctively ran towards the road
(58:36):
leading to town and approaching the King'sGuard. Part nine. The sacrifice vastly
outnumber by the bloodthirsty creatures as hefought on, even crushing skulls with rocks,
stabbing hearts, or slicing necks withBeyond's dagger. Vostok stead of Beyond
(59:00):
and said, child, you wereabout to lose your life, and I
will eat your heart before you takeyour last breath. Vostok swung his saber,
but Bjorn blocked it. However, his long claws scratched the side of
Bjorn's face, leaving bloody marks.Vostoc jumped over Byorn's head and headed for
(59:21):
Lizzie, but Beyond swung his sword, put in a deep cut in the
back of Vostok's leg, and ashe tumbled to the ground, he ordered
all of the Horde to attack Bjorn. About two or three miles from the
trail to the blood Lands, theKing's guard met Father David and loosed him.
Captain Gerard led his men up thetrail ready for battle, but with
Father David lagging behind, Dozens ofthe creatures piled on top of Bjorn as
(59:45):
he struggled and fought. It lookedlike a pile of ants, with one
occasionally being ejected from the free Coveredin blood. Vostok now had one hand
around Lizzie's neck and the other aroundthe wrist that held the dagger. He
picked her up off the ground asshe struggled and tightened his grip around her
neck. At that instant, ahuge sound erupted from behind Vostok. As
(01:00:07):
many creatures flew from the air,Beyond's wings wrapped it through the slits in
the back of his cloak. Hestood tall and an eerie glow emanating from
him. Vostok was obviously frightened atthe sight, listened to his grip on
Lizzie, lading her to fall tothe ground, gasped for air. Beyond
rose in the air and swooped downon Vostok, swinging his sword. The
(01:00:30):
Vostok trying to block it, butBeyond sword severed his saber. The horde
began to run downhill to meet theKing's guard. As they dismounted, Lizzie
still had the dagger, waiting foran opportunity to skew a Vostok. Beyond
now landed in front of the horrifiedVostok. Beyond raised the sword over his
head and cleaved it down through Vostok'sleft shoulder, stopping at his right hip.
(01:00:53):
He withdrew the blade as Vostok's facehad a look of horror. His
body separated into two pieces as hefell to the ground and Lizzie took the
dagger and cut out his heart. As the battle raged down the hill,
Beyond fell to his knees and thewings were tatted into his back. Lizzie
(01:01:14):
ran to him, throwing her armsaround him. Father David arrived as the
King's guards with dispatch of the remainingcreatures. The three embraced, and the
father offered a prayer of thanks. They looked at Lizzie and said, you
must expel any evil left inside you, and poured a small vial of holy
water upon her. She became weakand fell on her side, and Beyond
(01:01:36):
placed his hand upon her head andshe started violently vomiting the dark liquid.
They held her as this went onfor several minutes, and she finally began
to dry heath and it was over. Her eyes were slowly beginning to turn
green, her hair was slowly turningred again. The Captain Gerard arrived and
(01:01:59):
Father David said, you must searchthe manner and then barney to the ground,
and he turned to Beyond and insistedthat they get Lizzie back to the
chapel. And back at the chapel, Lizzie was regaining her strength and preoccupied
to thinking about what the king haddone to her and her mother. What
(01:02:21):
is it that you really want, said Beyond. Lizzie responded, I still
want justice for what happened to me, but I want to be with you
also. Beyond responded, I'm noteven sure if that's possible now, and
she laid her head on his shoulderand cried in her heart she still wanted
revenge on the king. Beyond said, what if I can get you inside
(01:02:45):
the palace to confront the king? How she said? After the midnight hour,
they walked out behind the chapel.Beyond knelt and suddenly his wings began
to grow. To Lizzie's astonishment,he wrapped his arms around her and they
took flight. It landed on thecastle balcony in front of the King's room,
(01:03:06):
and they quietly entered and crept outto the king's bedside. Who is
there, said the king. Beyondimmediately put his large hand over his mouth
and said, be quiet if youwant to live. The king was frail
and frightened, and didn't even resemblethe handsome man he once was. His
eyes were cloudy, his vision wasweak, and Beyond handed Lizzie his dagger
(01:03:30):
as she bent over him and pulleda large candle close. She looked into
his face and said, do youremember what you did to me? Do
you remember having my mother killed?Dory intense as Lizzie pushed a sharp pointed
the dagger against his throat until afew drops of blood began to stream down
on the bed. He trembled andsaid, please don't kill me. Please,
(01:03:54):
please. She responded the same wayI said please and beg you not
to brutalize me. Oh, Iam sorry, Please forgive me. I
I'll do whatever you ask. Lizziestarted a push to blade into his throat,
then hesitated. Beyond said there isoff a fine line between revenge and
(01:04:16):
redemption. On which side of thisline will you stand? She withdrew the
blade and turned to Beyond and said, please get me out of here.
Beyond bent over King Dorian has said, do something good and what time you
have left. The poison in yourbody is weak compared to the poison in
(01:04:38):
your soul. And with that theyreturned to the balcony and flew away.
Waking up to the breakfast of thechapel felt almost like home to Lizzie and
Beyond, but Lizzie still had anappetite for meat cooked rare. Father David's
eyes widened and she tore into herfood. What will you to do now,
(01:04:59):
said the father? Well, saidLizzie, I'd like to go home
to my mother's house for a while. Beyond said, people like to return
to his house. Also, maybewe can be farmers again, they said.
Father David told him that Captain Gerardfound a lot of gold at the
Manner and gave a big share tothe church. He would happy to be
invested in the two and get theirfeet again. That even Beyond and Lizzie
(01:05:24):
sat behind the church under the stars. When will we tell the father that
I still have the powers? SaidLizzie. Might have a feeling he already
knows, said Beyond, But Ithink he believes you will use them for
good. She looked up at himand smiled, saying do you believe that?
And he responded, might think so, but you must first learn to
(01:05:45):
control your anger. Like last night. Maybe we can be a team and
fight evil together. She laid herhead upon his shoulder and said, really,
Beyond, can we ever be together? Can you ever give me for
breaking your heart? Forgive you?Yes, be together? I don't know
(01:06:06):
there is nothing. I want more, but first I need to find out
what or who I really am.For now, I am just happy to
be right here, as she kissedhim and said beyond on this day forward,
my heart belongs to you, andif you want to fight evil,
I will be at your side.Oh one more question, said Lizzie.
(01:06:29):
How did you know I wouldn't killDorian. I didn't, he said,
and pulled her close as they kissedunder the starry sky and tattle under the
wicked moon. Let's get straight intothat prologue. Evil depends upon the monster
(01:06:54):
with them. Part one The hinterLance The uttermost hinted lands of Northumbria.
An eerie full moon shone high overa quiet, remote forest. The silence
was pierced by the sound of ahorse galloping and snorting as its breast steamed
a cold night hair. At first, its hoofs were like a low rumble,
(01:07:15):
but the intensity increased. The youngwoman straddled the horse and held tightly
to the reins as they dodged treesat a full gallop. She would duck
under limbs and branches, but lingover and clinging to the horse's side while
slap on it with the reins. This steed was running from something, something
that was gaining on it. Treescrashing in the distance behind them could be
heard muffling the snarling sound. Butthis was no normal snarl. It was
(01:07:41):
a primal, guttable growl. Theyoung woman shouted yeah, pointed a horse
towards the clear and a head.It burst out of the trees and into
a meadow. Illuminated by the intensemoonlight. The horse now put distance between
its and whatever was pursuing it.But as the horse and rider arrived in
the middle of the meadow, itsuddenly stopped and the rider dismounted. Before
(01:08:02):
the galloping steed could come to afull stop, a tall, statuesque woman
with a hooded cloak landed sulidly onthe ground and squat up to face whatever
was pursuing her. Suddenly, ahuge beast, running on all fourst bursts
on the tree line and hold ithalfway with a curious look. Cocking its
head. The young woman shouted, you run me, your filthy beast,
(01:08:25):
come get me. This abomination wasfilled with rage and barreled su water.
She did not flinch, but stoodher ground as if she was prepared to
meet this vicious predator head on ahuge wallflank creature were yellow eyes roared as
an approached at the dizziest speed. The young woman abruptly threw back her cloak
and produced two short swords from sheaveson her back. She held one in
(01:08:47):
front and the other over her headat an angle as it reflected the moonlight
into the beast's face. The beastslid to a stopward him feet of this
motionless woman. She stood, holdingher position. This monstrous wolf, still
confused, cocked its head again andstudied this mysterious woman. It was as
if it asked itself why she isn'trunning in terror for her life. I
(01:09:10):
called the other humans or animals haddone. But it didn't stay frozen for
long, and apparently it's hunger forflesh got the better of it. It
crouched lower and lunged, taking aswipe at the lady. Within a split
second, she sidestepped and swung theoverhead blade severn the monster's right hand as
it aimed its claws at her face. A piercing roar reverberated throughout the forest
(01:09:35):
as it caused the bark to dislodgefrom the trees. The monster was now
on its knees, clutching its severedstump and staring at the woman with a
look of pure rage. She againheld her ground and calmly said, if
you want to keep your other hand, you will stay right there and tell
me or your packets. I stoodup as if ready to pounce. She
(01:09:56):
shouted, tell me, or Iwill kill you quickly, and the beast
did not respond made an evil snarl. Just as it had started to lunge,
a sword pisted it from the back, and the points of merged through
its shoulder. Suddenly, the beastwas pulled up into the air and then
hit the ground with a large thudthat aggled it for a moment, and
Beyond and Lizzie stood over the beastas it lay gasping in the moonlit meadow.
(01:10:21):
Beyond hulking frame took a huge strideto water it and pressed his sword
into the creature's throat and said thislast asked you where your pack is.
The creature on it snarled and gaspedas it lay seemingly helpless on its back,
with it pointed a bleak piss itsskin. Lizzie looked up at Beyond
and said can they not talk onenear death? Squeak? Foul beast said
(01:10:46):
Beyond, I know you can talkwhen near death or transformation. And suddenly
the creature became agitated as it groundand snapped its jaws and moved its mouth
forward, causing a sort to piercehis throat, goggled on its own blood,
and then Drut's last breath. Couldyou understand it, said Lizzie.
(01:11:09):
No, I only felt its despairin desperation, but in my mind I
know I was trying to communicate somethingto me. So now, what,
said Lizzie. We loaded in awagon and take it a King Philip as
proof he seeks. Lizzie shook herhead and said, you're gonna put this
(01:11:30):
terrible smelling thing and a wagon offto sleep. Yes, he replied,
I will wrap it in animal skins. Beyond mused him. Lizzie asked what
was on his mind. Father Davidtold us that werewolves harbored people transformed.
Legend says they can speak when neardeath or in transformation. But it is
(01:11:53):
as if this creature was in anatural state. You know, we are
to take it to Father Thomas first, maybe he can shed light on this
mystery before we meet with King Phillip'sguard. But for now let's go.
It's a full day's journey into thenight, and now, like me,
you must sleep. Then they setoff for the castle in the far north
(01:12:14):
to deliver the amazing cargo. Parttwo. Fear sets in. Let's get
straight into that. As the wagonapproached the castle in the distance, there
were many bonfires and torches on thegrounds outside the gates. Let's he commented
(01:12:34):
that there must be some kind ofautumn festival beyond, and shook his head
slowly. No, it appears peoplehave set up tents and encampments in the
fields. Something doesn't feel right.Fear hangs in the air to trot on
with their horses in tow behind thewagon. Cargo become an ever more fragrance.
(01:12:55):
They pulled out to the huge chapeljust beyond the gates, and in
turn fetch Mother Thomas to greet themwith open arms. He greated both with
a warm smile, saying, FatherDavid has spent several letters to me about
you too. It is my pleasure. As he made the sign of the
cross and blessed them. It islate, come in and eat. Not
yet, Bjorn replied, we havea sinister cargo to a ville. As
(01:13:21):
he pulled back the top, causingthe father to gasp and cross himself.
Father Thomas snapped at a young priestto run another, Captain Landry and bring
hardy men with a wagon. Hehad. The young in turn pulled a
wagon out of sight from any nearbycurius eyes. Captain Landry arrived with four
guards and two stablemen with a wagon. Still breakfast, young priest theo he
(01:13:44):
made the introductions, and have biornuncovered a smelly beast. Captain Lantry immediately
blurted out, sweet Mother of God, as the other guards mumbled and crossed
themselves. We muster let the kingand keep this quiet. Father Thomas,
I must bring him here, saidLantry. There is much fear and speculation,
(01:14:05):
and air villagers have already turned uponeach other with allegations of witchcraft or
accusations of the neighbors in league woulLucifer. He barted this man to stand
guard and let no one pass untilhis return. So father said Lizzie,
why all these people can down here? They are terrified lass. Many have
(01:14:27):
lost livestock, some lost family. Most have heard the haunted house echoing through
the hills. Now my worst fearshave come true. This is not just
a changeling, but a devil spawn. Within the hour and non the script
wagon approached with four more guards onhorseback. The wagon pulled around to the
side of the chapel, where KingPhilip the Squiddy exited the wagon, telling
(01:14:51):
no one to bow for fear ordrawing attention, and he gazed at the
creature for only a few seconds, ordered Captain Landry to store it the underground
chamber for now. After entering thechapel beyond, a Lizzie bowed and presented
a letter to King Philip from QueenOlivia. Rise said the King, you
(01:15:11):
need no introduction or letter. Youwill operate under my official seal from this
point forward. We are in yourdebt for slaying this foul abomination, and
I have a kingdom of terrified peopleor I. He don't need to know
what resources will be required of meand my god. Tonight, you two
must eat and rest, or tomorrowbrings a cruel reality for us all.
(01:15:34):
Please join me at the palace forbreakfast. Captain Landry will double the guard
and light more fires about the palacegrounds. Tonight, my father Thomas ushered
Lizzie and Beyond, telling them thewagon will be cleaned at first light.
Beyond scratched his chin and said, leave it be, Father. This sent
shall be a bait for our hunt. Lizzie de beyond quite the look.
(01:16:02):
Part three, The hunt begins. The first light to carriage arrived at the
chapel to collect Beyond and Lizzie andFather Thomas to join the king at its
table. They entered a room fullof landowners and earls from around the countryside,
clamoring until they saw the statuesque couple, and the chatter fell to only
whispers. The King introduced them andsaid, my people here have seen the
(01:16:27):
beasts. You have their ears andBeyond asked where the majority of the attacks
had been. Have any new peoplearrived or new settlements or farms been built.
The one name that resonated more thanonce was a mysterious man from France
named Le Barbet, who had starteda farm with about a dozen followers in
the rocky hills of this outermost areaof the kingdom. The handful of people
(01:16:49):
who had met him shared their opinionthat any attempt to farm more ray stock
on this rocky ground was futile. But I do not seem to deter him,
and Beyond a Lizzie termed that theymust meet this mysterious Frenchman, and
they will pretend to be newly wedslooking for a homestead and head out first
light, and the king Scars wouldreplaced villages or farms in an area and
(01:17:11):
will use signal fires and flaming arrowsto communicate. Traveling into the hinter lands
proved to be a task. Theterrain it was difficult, and many homesteads
were deserted. Enormous heavy feeling hungover these rocky, desolate hills. Beyond
remarked that he had not sensed suchevil since being in the Bloodlands. Yes,
(01:17:33):
said Lizzie, it was a heavyfeeling that makes me uneasy. Suddenly,
Beyond stopped the wagon and said thehearers were silent and devoid of the
usual natured sounds. Beyond dismounted thewagon and untied his horse from the rear
of the wagon. He mounted upand rode ahead about ten strides, after
telling Lizzie to follow slowly and remainingvigilant, And as they rounded a bend
(01:17:57):
and a road, a small farmhousecame into sight. The horses began to
snort and act a ratic as theytried to come a small barn would a
fence in front lay to the leftand behind the house beyond a Lizzie drew
closer as they started to see apicture of carnage. A putrid smile suddenly
permeated their nostrils that the sounds offlies buzzed about. A large portion of
(01:18:19):
the fence lay broken, and thebarn door torn from its hinges. A
horse and two cows lay mangled onthe ground beyond a Lizzie slowly dismounted Lucie
tied off their horses. They crepttowards the animals beyond what is sword drawn
Lizzie with an arrow knocked on herbone. The animals were brutally slaughtered,
(01:18:42):
with then trous partially eaten and strewnabout beyond motion for Lizzie to follow.
As they crept awards the small house, its front door completely missing. A
dried blood trail tracking out at thefront door was visible beyond poured the hood
off his cloak and over his head. Slowly took a step inside the door.
Well Lizzie and trail, ready tofind an arrow. What lay on
(01:19:03):
the floor caused Beyond to flash backto that scene in his own home when
his mother was slaughtered. The butcheredremains of a man and woman lay on
the floor, along with the brokencontents of the simple home. Beyond,
Blood ran cold as he knew totake in the sights and smiles. He
pointed to the blood trails and said, there are two trails here that do
(01:19:27):
not belong to this poor souls. They made their way outside and cautiously followed
the trails. Beyond paused and pointedahead into the rights of wars a cluster
the trees. They pushed on todiscover a pitiful sight two children more than
ten to twelve years old. Theywere butchered like those in the house.
(01:19:47):
Were then trous missing part four predatoror pray, let's get straight into that.
(01:20:09):
After giving a remains of proper burial, beyond an Lizzie said a quick
prayer and result to kill who orwhat was responsible for this massacre. The
sun must now sinker behind the trees, and Lizzie had an idea. Let's
quickly mend the fence and put ourhorses there for the night. If these
masters were attracted here before, surelymore horses than the smell of the wagon
(01:20:30):
should attract them again. Father Thomassaid a wicked red moon would hang in
the sky for two nights. Beyondnodded and said, yes, we will
keep watch from the safety of thehouse. I will make ready a huge
signal fire. As nightfall came, the horses were inside the fence and now
seemingly at ease. The sounds ofnature had slowly returned to the forest.
(01:20:53):
Be on an lizzie little candle andate their rations and huddled against the wall
under the dim light. It wasnow getting leaked, and Beyond kiss Lizzie
on the cheek, saying, mydearest, get some sleep and I will
remain at watch. She smiled andcled under a blanket and dozed off to
sleep. But Beyond was not atease. It sensed great danger. Shortly
(01:21:15):
after midnight, Beyond shot to hisfeet, just as the horses began to
snort and scratched the ground with theirhoofs. Again, the sounds of nature
had gone silent, and Beyond sensestingled a something sinister fill the night terror.
It turned to awake Lizzie as shestood at already with a bow and
arrow in hand. Suddenly there wasthe sound of horses in distress outside Beyond
(01:21:40):
Dante's hood and told Lizzie to followthree paces behind two ominous figures to tool
over the horses. As Beyond's wingssprouted and he took flight, Lizzie fired
an arrow, striking one of thecreatures in the chest before it could sink
its long claws into her horse. She then turned and put another arrow into
the shoulder of the other beast. They both turned her attention to Lizzie and
(01:22:01):
charged with a menacing howl that shookthe entire body. As she drew another
arrow at these gigantic walls were almostupon her when she fired another arrow into
the throat of the closest beast, causing it to a middy fall roll on
the ground. There was no timeto fire another arrow as she drew her
sword from her back. Then shebraced herself and took a stance as the
(01:22:24):
other one was one stride from beingupon her. Suddenly, the beast was
swept off its feet and then slammedinto the earth with a thud that shook
the ground beneath her. Before thecreature could jumped to its feet, Beyond
stood over it with his sword pointedinto its neck. A sick, gurgling
sound erupt it as his peripheral visioncalled lizzibe Head and the other beast.
(01:22:45):
As he pushed the point of hisblade into this giant male wolf's throat,
he said, speak, you, foul abomination, where is your leader?
The creature only growled and wiggled orsnap and escaping jaws. Lizzie called out,
Look Beyond, This one did nottransform either. Yorn scowled as he
(01:23:05):
stared down at the beast. Talkto me if you would live ass He
pressed a blade yet deeper into itsneck. The creature acted as though it
was trying to communicate as it madegrowling and yipping sounds. Lizzie stood watching
God in all directions. As apuzzled look came over Beyond's face, he
(01:23:26):
calmly said, yes, I will, quickly swung his blade, beheading the
giant wolf. Lizzie shook her headin complete confusion. Beyond, why did
you say that? Why did yousay yes, I will? And Beyond
responded, First, I thought thistortured creature begged for mercy for its life,
(01:23:48):
but in truth, it planned memercy for its tortured soul, and
so I gave it the release itrequested. You mean you understood it,
said Lizzie. What else did ittell you? Not much, said they,
Only that it was trapped and indespair. It simply wanted to be
(01:24:09):
free of this person. I knewI could release it, but I did
see an image of a canyon surroundedby rocky, rolling hills. Let us
tend to the horses and make ourplan for tomorrow. But now I shall
set the signal fire to let theKing's Guard Part six. Stoking the beasts
(01:24:36):
and first light Beyond and Lizzie wereare preparing for their journey. The horses
had scratched on their hind quartersman nothingthat wasn't easily treated by herbal dressing,
and Lizzie said, I will evennote for the garden. We traveled northwest
for a dark canyon surrounded by rolling, rocky hills. As the bright morning
song piped above the trees. Theywere rough on their track in search of
(01:24:58):
these creatures and the leader. Aftertheir fire burns throughout the early morning darkness,
they anticipated that the detachment of theKing's Guard will be on right.
As they rode along on the wagonhorses in tow as. He asked Beyond
if he had a plan, andhe paused, my sorrow, A dark,
foreboding place tis a place I mustsee from the air. Pull into
(01:25:23):
the tree line and park the wagon, and Beyond gathered another set of his
clothing and stuffed with bows and smallbranches. Serve us to tie it into
a sitting position in the wagon seatnext to Lizzard, and he said,
I will take leaves through the heavyfoliage when night falls, drawn near,
park the wagon in the trees, and loosely tie the horses. Should they
(01:25:44):
need escape, then mount your horseand ride on. I will remain vigil
from above and provide a signal foryou. She kissed him and said I
feel heaviness, and with a hughe nodded crept away Quaddy through the brush.
Lizzie pushed on with her fake Beyondnext to her and pretending to converse
(01:26:08):
with him. As the shadows grewlong, the blood moon was already starting
a rise in the crystal clear earlyevening sky. In the distance, howls
echoed through the hills, caused Lizzieto fill a chill up her spine,
and she said to herself, theyknow we are coming. At this point,
Lizzie pulled the wagon into the trees, and Lucie tied the horses and
(01:26:28):
then mounted hers. A skin tingled, and something told her to rise towards
the middle of the clearing she hadjust left from the opposite tree line.
That came a crashing sound, asif trees were being knocked down or uprooted.
Suddenly, two large, dark figuresare rotted from the tree line barren
into water. She screamed yeah, and healed her horse in the sides and
(01:26:49):
sped off in a north westerly direction. Fortunately, the moonlight led the rocky
meadow, she could see the rocksto avoid them. As she looked up
and her head, she saw hersignal, the rainbow colored glimmer of Beyond
sword in the sky. The twocreatures pursuing her this time were larger louder
than at once from the previous night. Beyond was now perched on the top
(01:27:14):
of a huge tall tree, overlookinga dark, foreboding canyon with small shacks
stutt in the area. All ofhis senses cried out that this was a
place of unmatched evil. The areawas devoid of all nature sounds, not
even an insect there were bone pilesand carcasses of all time strewn about,
even human in the distance, heheard hows that caused him to fear Lizzie
(01:27:36):
was engraved danger. The rest ofthis sinister pack now slowly started to emerge
from their huts, as the bloodmoon now sat on the rim of the
canyon like a sinister portrait from ahorror story. Then three monsters broke off
and ran rapidly in Lizzie's direction.Beyond needed to warn her, but could
not afford to reveal himself until theproper time. He now estimated that there
(01:28:00):
was no less than a dozen ofthese abominations, But yet La Barbet had
not shown himself that instant. Therest of the pack fell salad as a
tall, dark mass a much frommc Cave in the side of the canyon.
There was no doubt that this tallblack wolf with crimson streaks in its
hair was Lebert the Barbarian. Lizzierode along on her breakneck speed, but
(01:28:26):
the waves were slowly getting on her. She probably took the reins in her
mouth and spun around to the rear, drawing her bow and knocking an arrow.
She allowed her horse to slow inorder to draw the waves in closer.
Closer and closer they got as shetried to breathe and steady her aim.
Then suddenly she loosed another arrow tippedin silver the father Thomas had given
her straight. The arrow flew andstruck the lead beast in its lower right
(01:28:50):
atoman, causing it to grab Fred'sbelly and break stride Tomberlin like an avalanche
of arms and legs. The creaturehowled and pulled out the arrow, attempted
to resume the chase a quickly bentdouble grabbing at his stomach. The civil
was blessed by holy water, wasburning like fire, and the beast collapsed.
(01:29:11):
The other creature slowed and turned tolook at the side of his companion.
In agony. It made a mistakeof stopping with its back to Lizzie,
and suddenly an arrow rotted through itschest and did how fallen to its
knees. Lizzie whirled around on aroad, not knowing what was hurtling to
water. No more than five milesto the southeast. A detachment of the
(01:29:31):
King's guard, numbering twenty now rodeuneasily towards the house that echoed through the
dark Hills, Part seven, Couragestill desperation, Let's get straight into that
(01:29:56):
Beyond swooped from the tall tree tobarn down for where this black creature stood.
But Labat sends danger and quickly backedinto the cave entrance, and three
large snarling wolves put themselves in frontof the cave. The one father stood
the left had no chance to reactas Beyond cleaved his sword down through its
neck and spine. His sword shimmercaused the other two to stare spell bound.
(01:30:17):
The middle beasts lost its head inan instant as Beyond sparning and swung
it as if in slow motion. The last beast pounced through the air,
swiping his long claws towards Beyond's head, but the claws met Beyond's cloak and
had no effect. This giant wolfstood staring an awe, not understanding why
it's prey did not fall, andthis hesitation proved fatal when Beyond thrust his
(01:30:40):
sword up through this creature's chest, lifting it off the ground and would allow
groan. He flung it into thecave entrance at the feet of the shop
Lebert, who are you? Hesnarled as he sprung forward like a bolt.
Of lightning, swiping it. BeyondBeyond sidestep, and the bear tumbled
out of the cave entrance, rolleddown the hillside, and just as Beyond
(01:31:02):
squared up with him, he wasstruck from behind by a huge brown mass,
and they now tumbled over the rockyhillside. Suddenly Beyond and a creature
sprang to their feet. Just asthis eight foot monster climbed its jaws onto
his shoulder, and he thrust hisdagger up through its throat and into its
mouth. The beast threw back itshead and howled so loud that the sound
(01:31:24):
actually dislodged some small loose rocks fromthe hillside. Lizzie was now close enough
to hear the howl from about amile ahead. Her skin started to tangle
as she says that she was indanger. A hundred yards ahead, a
huge, dark creature suddenly appeared, running on all fours at his staggering speed.
(01:31:44):
She knocked an arrow and then fineinstinctively veered towards the tree line.
Arrow glanced off the beast's chest andlodged in its thighing, causing it to
tumble, to stop and howl andpain. But there was no time to
relax now because two more creatures wereso into water a forty five degree ankle
from her right. Letzee reasoned thather horse, along with her masterful riding
(01:32:06):
skills, could we threw the trees, buying her some time to fire an
arrow here and there. But unknownto her, one of the creatures taken
to the trees, leaping from limbto limb high above. She relied she
had lost sight and sound of bothcreatures made a break for declaring with an
arrow knocked drawn, she barely emergedfrom the tree line. She spun to
(01:32:29):
the rear and observed the beast notthirty feet behind her. She loosed the
arrow, striking the beast in herchest, and jumped off her horse as
it swung down, striking her steed. She fired one more arrow into the
creature's back as it tried to turn, and suddenly the tree tops above,
only forty five feet away, rottedfrom a shaken and snapping sounds, best
(01:32:50):
started to leap down at her.As she reached behind her discover her arrow
quiver had fallen off, but justas quickly as the beasts had leapt,
seemed to catch its leg on southernthen immediately went limp. She tried for
an instant to adjust her eyes tosee what had happened. The trees were
so dark, but she didn't havetime to question her good fortune and mounted
(01:33:12):
her injured horse to ride on.Bjorn and l Bar collided with a thunderous
sound, his blade slashing a beet'sshoulder. Le Bar counted and launched at
Beyond, side, knocking him down. Le Bar was not only bigger,
but stronger faster than a rest.Beyond sprung to his feet, just to
be overrun from the rear by twobeasts took him to the ground. A
(01:33:35):
massive struggler rotted as Bjorn and thecreatures rolled down the hill, were more
closing in to joint The free arrowstudies of peppered the wolves. As a
horse and rider emerged into the mouthof the canyon not a hundred yards away.
Several of the beasts screamed as theblasted silver arrow tips burned like fire.
Beyond now fought four creatures that Lizziefired her last arrow, sinking into
(01:33:58):
the creature's neck. She dismounted androlled while the horse still galloped. Emerging
on her feet were sowed strang, putting herself between Beyond and the others.
She battled the monsters. More thana dozen of these giant wolves still on
their hind legs, snarling and showingtheir teeth at Lizzie. The yards were
not good, as one by onethe pack started to advance to water,
(01:34:19):
getting even faster. The howls werenow deafening. Lizzie strode forward and ducked
under the first beast, severing itsleg at the knee. She jumped laterally
with a grace of a deer andswung down, slicing into another creature's face
and jaw, causing it to grabat its face and howl in pain.
(01:34:40):
And she now squared up with fiveor six wolves charging at her, lay
moored three strides away, and eventhough Beyond had killed one wolf and seriously
injured another, two monsters still triedto sink their teeth into him, eight
a blade through the heart. Justas it looked as though there was no
(01:35:06):
way for Beyond and Lizzie to escapeor prevail, a resounding crack like thunder
followed by a thud was heard overthe grounds, and yelps vibrating the ground.
A quick but cold rush of windblew over the ferocious pack bearing down
upon Lizzie. They suddenly turned theirheads to see an ominous, dark figure
standing on a hundred feet behind them, and raised their heads to sniff the
(01:35:29):
air. They looked at one another, puzzled as if they didn't recognize this
smile. The figure seemed to bethat of a large, cloaked man easily
seven feet tall, and some ofthe beasts growled. Some of them seemed
to almost whimper, as if infear. From a distance, Le Barbere
shouted the dark spineless cowards in aguttural voice, and many of the pack
(01:35:51):
charged towards this mysterious figure as itremained motionless. Lizzie wasted no time and
cleave one of her swords down onher neck and the spine of the closest
one, dropping it instantly. Threeremained and squared off with her. She
again ducked and swirred, and thenmounted the back of the nearest creature charging
(01:36:11):
her. She managed to run asword through its neck and it tumbled for
in her forwards with a loud thud. As she rose to her feet,
she was overrun by another beast, who slashed her left arm and shoulder,
setting her back to the ground andknocking her breathless. A dozen or so
wolves and now ran to wards. The dark figure were almost upon him when
he produced a giant sword that seemedto glimmer like an ice blue flame,
(01:36:35):
and with one sweep of the giantblade, he cleaved three creatures in half,
and then jumped and tumbled forward, crushing the skull of another beast with
the blade. He landed in themiddle of the remaining mosters and threw back
his cloak to a veil a pairof glowing blue eyes that seemed to paralyze
the beasts while they stood staring. He wasted no time beheading too. He
(01:37:00):
suddenly sprouted a set of wings andbegan darting about, cutting the wolves down
one by one, three of themrunning fear towards the mouth of the canyon
in the direction of the oncoming King'sguard. Beyond had just dispatched his last
wolf, flew towards Lizzie, jerkingthe wolf off the ground that stood over
her. In a rage of anger, he snapped the creature's neck and threw
(01:37:23):
it towards the two Romanian wolves. They froze in terror. That's that was
a fatal mistake because their wing companiontook both of their heads from behind,
and it was now over except forLabar, who stood motionless on the hillside.
(01:37:44):
Beyond ran to Lizzie and wrapped atorn part of her garment around her
wound. She nodded and said,I'm okay, looked towards La Bar beyond
looked over his shoulder and had theother man, who nodded and said shall
we. For some reason, Beyondfelt like he knew this stranger and could
trust him. They both leapt foodat air and landed about three strides away
(01:38:06):
from La Bar, who now beganto slowly back up on the hillside while
snarling in a low, guttable manner. Beyond, sheaved his sword and said,
it is now just you and me? Will it be a merciful death?
Or bottle? La Bar tensed hisbody and, crouching all force,
(01:38:26):
leapt beyond. They locked in apitched rolling battle. Tumbling down the hill.
La Bar managed to bite down onbeyond shoulder on one side of his
teeth pierced to portion or beyond shoulderand neck not covered by his cloak.
He grabbed La Bar's neck with hispowerful hand while fending swipe from its claws,
but the other la Bar used hispowerful legs to spring forward, slamming
(01:38:47):
Beyond onto his back. But Beyondrolled backwards so fast that he was on
top at the bar less than asecond. He slammed his fists into the
side of the Bar's head, adlinghim long enough to pour his sword and
press the point to his heart. If you want mercy, you will answer
some questions, said Beyond, asLizzie and the wing friend now stood next
(01:39:11):
to him. Why to these woolvesnot transform? Why are they so huge?
How did you become this way?Le Bar smiled with a huge mouth
of teeth and began to talk Partnine Secrets Revealed. Let's get straight into
(01:39:36):
that. Lebar spoke as Beyond pressedhis sword into his chest, and with
his grounding voice, he teld ofbeing a former assassin for the King of
France who fell out of favor.I was known as the barbarin because I
enjoyed killing. I began doing itfor pleasure, even when not in the
(01:39:57):
King's service. Finally, they threwme into a dungeon after I developed a
taste of blood and human hearts. There I was the King's finest assassin chained
in a dungeon, I cried outin anger and despair. One night,
a handsome man dressed like a kingappeared at the bars of my cell.
He asked me just how badly Iwanted my freedom. I had told that
(01:40:21):
I would do anything for a chanceto escape. And he opened the door
and said, if I loose youfrom these chains, you'll serve me and
help me build my kingdom. Iswore my allegiance to him. We walked
out of that dungeon while the guardswere sound asleep. We robbed right through
(01:40:42):
the gates, unnoticed by guards, and into the street to his carriage,
and he presented me with a bagfull of many small glass fires and one
large one. He told me,if I drank this elixir, I will
become powerful and have the ability tocommand many strong beasts. I would do
my bidding. I drank it,and the next thing I remembered who was
(01:41:05):
laying in the forest. As thefull moon rose, I transformed into the
beast, a perfect predator, aperfect assassin. The concoction transformed me into
this superb creature, and I knewthat I must bite many people to build
my own kingdom. The way Icontrol them is through the elixir. They
(01:41:30):
become my subjects, but I amthe only one who can change. They
remain giant wolves under my command. The sound of many horses hoofs could be
heard in a distance as the King'sguard rode towards them. In the distance
Less he spoke up, Holy Mother, his story sounds like what Count Vosta
(01:41:51):
told me about the Bloodland's manner. And Beyond, his new companion spoke in
a deep voice to La Bar.What was this man's name? Might do
not know? Snarled Lapar. Thestranger said I know his name, and
then nodded to Beyond. He said, you know what you must do.
(01:42:13):
His heart it's as black as soot, and he tortured people for no reason
of a than pleasure. Beyond lookeddown at La Bar and plunged his sword
deep into his chest, piercing hisheart. The creature struggled as blood gurgled
out of its mouth. Beyond thencut out the heart and held it on
the end of his blade. Thestranger pressed his large blade into it,
(01:42:35):
and it's erupted in flames. Beheadingis not enough for this one, he
said. The heart must be turnedto ash and la barchansformed back to a
man. The stranger turned to Lizzieand said, please, may I touch
your injured arm? And she nodded, and the man placed his large hand
(01:42:56):
upon her arm, and in secondsit was healed. Who are you?
Oh? What are you? SaidLizzie. I am a doonio of the
Gregory, sworn to serve the oneon high. I am one of you,
said not exactly, he said, but almost. But where did I
(01:43:23):
come from? You are your mother'schild, You are the child she miscarried.
But you were brought back for apurpose. That purpose is to find
and stop a man named Lucian beforehe builds an army on earth. But
who is he said Lizzie, Thisimpecably dressed man is the son of the
(01:43:45):
evil One, the son of Perdition, the son of Lucifer himself. Beyond
responded, how will we find him? How will we stop him? Now
that you and Lizzi he had destroyedhis two best centurions, he may seek
you out. And how you stophim is part of your child trial.
(01:44:10):
What child? Will you assist us? Again? Enough for now, children,
I must go before I am seen. Lizzie looked up at Adonio and
said he was you in the trees, and he nodded with a smile.
He then placed his hands on beyondA Lizzie's shoulders and closed his eyes for
(01:44:30):
a second, and then beyond andLizzie did likewise. When they opened their
eyes, he was gone. Andthe King's guard when now and side,
the horses trodding to wards them, and Captain Landry dismounted and told of how
they killed three giant walls, butlost three men or another six wounded.
(01:44:51):
We found your wagon and horses abandonedand brought them, said Landry, where
the wounded bitten, said beyond no, Only Claude responded Landry. The dead
when he must be burnt, saidBeyon. Ladye rubbed his chin and said,
what happened here? Did you too? Kill them all? More or
(01:45:15):
less? Said Beyon, But itis much to discuss. Let us clean
up this place and tend to yourmen. Father Thomas and the King no
doubt await anxiously. We must leaveat first light for a long day's ryan
to the church. The Father greetedthem late that night, and they shared
(01:45:36):
what had happened. We must tellthe king first thing in the morning,
said the father. But first comeeaton, then you two must rest.
Beyond awoke early and thought of havinga strange dream about an island in the
Mediterranean with a dark cloud hanging overit. The King graciously thanked them and
(01:45:58):
invited Beyond and Lizzie to stay.Beyond responded, thank you, your majesty,
but we must go. A greatevil may be seeking us, and
we must find it first. Iwill send letters ahead to the kings of
France in Rome and to the churchfathers. I will provide a shipping safe
passage all the way and Beyond aLizzie bow and took their leave to prepare
(01:46:23):
for the long journey. And asthey ready to depart, Father Thomas took
them by the hand and said,my children, and ancient evil looms that
will test the strength of your fairysouls. Epilog The Road to Perdition is
(01:46:43):
paved with dark ambition and entitled theBlood Lands, the phenomen the Island.
Let's get straight into death. Prologue. From one seed comes a Great Evil,
(01:47:14):
Part one, a revealing journey.During the trip to the Mediterranean,
Beyond would sleep restlessly on the ship, dreaming of strange images in places where
he felt as though he had beenbefore. He had visions of men whom
he believed were his companions, andthen there were other men, very large,
dressed in strange and ancient looking armor. He couldn't help but have an
(01:47:36):
overwhelming feeling that everything he had experiencedthus far was leading him here to some
final event. And it was justbefore sunrise as the boat docked and a
representative of the church named Yego metthem. Beyond pause and held his head
up in the air and sniffed theocean breeze when there was a smell in
the air that should not be there. It was a smell he recognized from
(01:47:59):
his past, and the mysterious islandof Yahra lay in the distance, barely
visible to the naked eye, butBeyond could see it while along with a
dark, ominous cloud that hung overit. Please allow me to take you
to meet Father Lorenzo, said Jego. Beyond and Lizzie were to meet the
Father at a private location away fromthe church. They were ushered to a
(01:48:21):
large stone structure near the docks.Inside awaited a father with four guards and
three mysterious men standing in the background. Welcome, said Father Lorenzo. There
is much to discuss, and thereare dark times in the Mediterranean. The
seed of fear has been planted, and the people are frightened from this filling
(01:48:43):
of dread that hangs in the air. The folk had rolled in every evening
for the last several days and hunglow over old cobblestone streets, and some
of the church fathers believed that thedevil himself was amongst them. A few
churches had boarded up their entrances, others had guards, and some had locked
their doors altogether. That people hurriedabout in the streets and made sure to
(01:49:06):
be home while before dark. Thesounds of children playing was obviously missing.
No birds were singing or chirping inthe trees. People looked down as they
walked about quickly and not making eyecontact or speaking to friends and family.
Priests were reluctant to discuss what wasgoing on. The pope had not ventured
out for a month, and strangeships had been seen by fishermen sailing to
(01:49:28):
the island of Yarra. Things wereunloaded under the cover of darkness on this
deserted volcanic island. Animals and peoplewere missing from neighboring islands and there were
no longer any fish in the watersfrom around the island, and people were
nervous because of the mysterious lights seenfrom the desolate clump of volcanic rock.
The church fathers had been keeping aneye on it from afar with a telescope
(01:49:51):
and had observed a dark cloud startto form over the island and get bigger
each day. An eerie red glowilluminated the cloud of night, given it
an even more foreboding look. Thesmall ship where soldiers were sent to investigate,
but but they never returned. Aftera few days, yet another ship
(01:50:12):
was sent to look for them, and it's and I returned either. In
the background behind Father Lorenzo stood threemysterious men with white cloaks barren a star
and we're the cross inside it.Beyond stead of them and this emblem,
because it was almost identical to hisbirthmark, the lead man spoke, I
am Gideon. We are among thelast members from the Order of the Holy
(01:50:36):
Temple. We are sworn to protectancient secrets and fight against evil until the
end of times. These are myassociates, Iran and Joel. We stand
steadfast with you and the lady, ready to assist you in your quest.
We have traveled far, tracked asinister but well dressed man from the Middle
East, bringing what we believe tobe forbidden artifacts to the on ships.
(01:51:01):
And Gideon looked at Beyond and said, please come with me. I believe
we have something that is meant foryou. I took both of Gideon's associates
to pull a large, anciente lookingsheeld from the ballapsack. Beyond instantly saw
that the markings upon it were likethose on his sword, and his eyes
froze on the shield. Then Gideonproduced one more item from the large bag.
(01:51:25):
It was a helmet made in thesame fashion as the shield. Beyond
paused and spoke, there is somethingvery familiar about this. I think maybe
it was once mine, he said. When Beyond reached forward his hand for
the helmets, there was a smallstatic like discharge as he touched it.
When he donned the helmets embraced, the shield instantly fell into a trance like
(01:51:48):
state. Part two, Piercing theveil. Let's get straight in today the
stoic Beyond now stood, signing likea statue. As he gripped his sword
and held the shield at already againsthis chest. It started a shimmer,
(01:52:11):
just as his sword did the firsttime he had held it. A pale
blue light now emanated from around him. Lizzy suggested that they will move back
a few steps. Beyond's head tiltedforward, and it was as if he
was transported out of his body toanother place in time. Suddenly he was
surrounded by other men who were adornedin a similar fashion to him. Adonio
(01:52:32):
was there and looked at him witha nod. They were inside a tremendous
cabin in the bows of the earth. There were thin layers of smoke suspended
in an air, and the smellof sulfur hung heavy. The other large
man advanced slowly but deliberately forward aheadof him, with shields raised and swords
(01:52:53):
in hand. As they trod deeperinto this hellish place, Audonio leaned into
Beyond's ear and said, there isa test from your past, and it
is a reminder of what lies aheadof you. Beyond was anxious, but
not afraid. Somehow he knew thathe had been here before. A pale
rainbow of colors now began to emanatefrom the men in front of him.
(01:53:15):
Given a hazy errand unearthly hue inthe distance. A wave of unnatural,
blood curdling screams rubbed it that echoedthroughout the cave. The terrifying sounds were
now rapidly approaching and becoming deafening. The men in front abruptly formed the wedge
with their shields and held their swordsat the ready over the shields. Beyond
followed suit as he saw that Adoniowas now three strides in front of him.
(01:53:40):
Suddenly, a waver deformed dark shapeslammed into the shield wall in front
of him, with a sound likethunder, vibrating the cavern around him.
Out of his peripheral vision, Beyondnoticed carvings on the cave wall depicting all
sorts of hellish creatures. Under thecarvens with what looked like some sort of
makeshift stone altar, A hideous cacophonyof vile manlike creatures resembling a combination of
(01:54:03):
goats, serpards, and lions pouredover the men while they skewered and beheaded
monster after monster. Some of thecreatures even had tentacles like sea creatures.
Adonio now began cutting them down asthey swiped their claws and snapped their huge
sharp teeth. Suddenly, Beyond wasin the fight of his life as he
(01:54:23):
sent several creatures nass arounding him onall sides. He slammed his should into
one creature, whilst thrusting his swordup into the gut of another. Flunging
onto the ground, he whirled aroundand began slashing and beheading the beasts one
after the other. He sliced andhacked at the creatures as they fell one
by one. The grotesque bodies werenow standing to pie up around him.
(01:54:46):
But the next thing he knew,he was awake and standing back in front
of Lizzie and the three strangers. What happened, said Lizzie. Beyond paused
and told him how he was transportedto a place deep in side the earth,
fighting hideous monsters. Would have Donioand other Gregory, it was like
I had been there before. WhenI was reliving this experience, Gideon spoke
(01:55:11):
up and said, was a largeand mysterious man who came to us at
the temple, who would have bundledcontaining the shield and helmet. He knew
we were about to depart an ourquest for the Mediterranean. He said that
we will meet a man whom thisbelongs, and beyond not it, and
said, yes, that man wasthe same man in my vision. Gideon
(01:55:33):
announced that it was now time toset sail for the short trip to the
mysterious island of Yarra, and hefeared that we must prepare for an ancient
evil. We have broad weapons procuredfrom holy sites, weapons that oh great
power very well set beyond. Letus set sail during the journey beyond the
(01:55:56):
side to spout his wings and flyahead to investigate the island. He would
return and tell them where to beachthe boat. Upon arriving at the island,
the air was heavy, and attimes it felt hard for Lizzie and
the knights to breathe. They tiedthe boats off on a boulder and proceeded
over the rocky sholine. Human remainswere scattered about, no doubt those of
(01:56:17):
the soldiers sent to investigate. Theyobserved many caves and caverns on the island.
They appeared a very large cave thathad obviously been unsealed. Once inside
this huge cave entrance, they observedthat it had contained many strange carvings on
the wall depicting men of huge stature, and Gideons said, legend held that
(01:56:38):
this was once home to a raceof giants, and at that instant the
ground sloodly rumbled from under their feet, echoing sounds like loud whispers filled their
ears. Gideons said that ancient barrelssigns in the middies had been opened and
made it, and they feared theircontents had been brought here for evil purposes.
Several ships carrying huge crates with ancientmarks have been seen by fishermen from
(01:57:00):
nearby islands. Gideon, Joel andRon retrieved glass bottles of flammable liquid in
slings, along with spears and arrowshaving etchings like Bion's sword, and similar
armor. Then Gideon pointed down intothe cave and said, look, the
craves are there inside the cave insidesthat they were recently opened. Beyond observed
(01:57:24):
even more ancient but familiar carvings onthe cave wall. This is an ancient
dwelling place of the damned, hesaid, And as the five further inspected
the cave, a rumbling sound camefrom deep within. Part three Horror revealed.
(01:57:51):
They quickly backed down to the entranceof the cave as a sea of
goodish creatures emerged from the darkness, running about on all fours. The leg
spent mccarbery forward at the knees whenthem to scamper around like large disfigured spiners.
They were pale whites with black eyesand had huge, round mouths full
of razor sharp teeth. When theyopened their jaws, their mouths extended from
(01:58:14):
their chins to their foreheads. Lizzieand the Knight's fired arrows and led the
futures on the glass fire bombs, slinging them at the creatures. Unearthly ear
pissing screetures rotted it as the abominationswere engulfed in flames. Whatever was in
these bottles was more than just asimple lamp oil, as the creatures practically
exploded into balls of flame on contact. Beyond swept down, cleaving a beast
(01:58:39):
in half. One jumped onto hisback and he flung it into the path
of the others, running towards Lizzieand the Knights, causing them to get
tripped up. Gideon and his mendrew swords and began dispatching them, but
two of the creatures jumped onto Joel'sback, ripping and tearing at him with
their claws and teeth, pulling chunksof flesh from his neck and shoulders.
(01:59:00):
Before Gideon an Aaron could behead them, the remaining handful of the monsters converged
on them as Lizzie drew her swordsand hacked away, standing back to back
with Gideon and Aaron beyond, landingnext to them, cutting two creatures in
half instantly, Lizzie ran one swordup through the throat of one and swung
sideways, her other sword, layingwide the throat again another. As Gideon
(01:59:23):
and run vanquished the last two, they ran to check on Joel, but
he was already dead. Most ofhis throat was missing, and as the
four bowed, with Gideon saying aprayer, the sound of applause was heard
coming from within the cave. Asneering, maniacal voice said, Bravo,
(01:59:44):
it appears you have killed my littlepets. They turned to see a handsome
man looking like Royalty, dressed inthe finest of clothes. There was Lucian
Satan spawn, the son of Perdition. How appropriate that I finally get to
meet the two who so aptly killedmy centurions and the followers and look one
(02:00:06):
is no less a junior goodgai theother reeks of my servant Vostock. How
is that possible? The ancient areof the temple nights are even here.
But worry not, your souvereign willbe short lived, for my servants come
to me, quick work of you. And then from the shallow darkness behind
(02:00:30):
Lucian a steady thought came a severallarge shadowy figures started to emerge. One
by one. Giantsman emerged dressed inan ancient manner, were in battle armor.
It range from eight to ten feettall in heights, and looked as
if their skin was partially decayed. In places you could see bones under the
decayed flesh. They gave off afoul stench that seemingly came from the pits
(02:00:54):
of hell. Lucian proudly bowed andspoke against, saying, lady and gentleman,
please allow me to introduce and akale an og Javesh of the Amorites,
raph Khanahan and Pinabeil of the Cannonites, Moabille and Bacharille of the Moabites,
(02:01:17):
saf Algob and gath Lamie of thePhilistines, and Raphaphirat protector of the
great Pharaoh. My father reanimated thesegiants with the ancient dark fire of life
for a second chance to rule. You two who killed my centurions will pay
a price. After these great warriorshave trampled your remains, I will sail
(02:01:43):
these mighty raffine to the shores ofthe mainland where the worms of the church
dwell. By sunrise, they willbow to me and him who forget me,
the brightest spirit of all. Beforeanother sun rises, I will transform
them into ghoulish servants like those youjust slaughtered. Lizzie and the Knights felt
(02:02:10):
uneasy of balance, as if thesegiants were emanating a force that caused them
slight nausea in the pit of thestomachs. Then from behind Lucian came a
series of low, guttable, snarlinggrouse and only what could be described as
three hellhounds with glowing red eyes surroundinghis feet. They had spikes on their
backs, and their shoulders came abovewaist level Lucian. Their teeth were long
(02:02:33):
and raisor sharpen, were colored adirty yellow brown, with a smelly saliva
dripping from their mouths. Their breathswere hot, and steam emanated from their
muzzles as they snarled. Lucian screamed, damn you ow to hell, and
gidding them, responded, that isthe domain in which you shall dwell,
(02:02:56):
not us. Part four the showdown. Let's get straight into that. The
giants began to advance, steping infront of Lucian beyond, and the largest
(02:03:17):
giant, Henny Kail, squared off. He stood over ten feet tool and
threw a boulder beyond, but hedodged it and leapt him, striking the
bayamof's thine with his sword, andthe keel screamed out a roar that shook
the surrounding rocks, gaping whole exposedbone, and a black, smelly,
clotted liquid oozed out from the gash. The giant swung his mighty sword,
(02:03:40):
striking beyond shield and knocking him tothe ground. Beyond tumbled backwards, instantly,
coming to his feet in a readyposition. Courageous Lizzie pulled an arrow
after arrow from her quiver and shotthe blessed warheads towards the hulking men the
eight foot tool gaff Lami screamed, woman, I am descended from Goliath for
(02:04:01):
Goth and this day you will laywith me, And Lizzie responded, life
lost his head, and so shallyou. She fired an arrow, striking
his thigh, causing him to screamout in Payton. The arrow seemed to
be having a moderate effect, butthe flames caused the giant's great pain.
Gideon and aro An emerge from behindLizzie, fine arrows and lighting more fire
(02:04:26):
bonds. The giants were quite sensitiveto the fire, and saff aragob rupped
it into flames and run towards theocean. But the giants moved with great
speed and agility and were hard tohit. The battle between Beyond and a
Kill, raged On, now witha great sword. Battle and a Kill,
had suffered a serious wound to hisleg from beyond sword and was now
(02:04:48):
on the defensive. The tenth footGiant was stronger and swung his huge sword
with great force beyond ward block, side, step and slice and a kill
with his sword, which now glimmeredwith a blue flame. Seeing that their
comrade was now losing, being aBailee Moa Bill and Bascharru began to run
(02:05:10):
towards and a Kale. Suddenly,Buon was struck from behind by a large
club of spikes woulded by moa Billwho stood almost as tall as an a
kale. The remainder of the giantsnow moved against Lizzie and the Knights,
throwing huge stones that narrowly missed them. Gideon and Aaron managed to set another
giant on fire, and the hulkingRafa Ferrat ran for the sea to quench
(02:05:32):
the flames, but the onslaughter ofthe giants continued, and og Javesh quickly
emerged from behind Aron, picking himup and slamming him into the ground with
a sickening thud. With all thestrength Aron had left, he fired one
more arrow, striking the nine foottwo giants in the face, but it
wasn't enough to stop the holkin ogGavesh from stumping its giant foot into Aaron's
(02:05:57):
chest. Now only Lizzie and Giddyinstead alone facing gaff lamy Raf Cannon and
the wounded o Yavesh. Suddenly, the severely burned raff of Ferrat and saff
Our gob immerged from the sea withgreat rage. After extinguishing their flamed flesh,
they rushed out of the surf, with lumps of burnt flesh fallen onto

the rocky ground. They held theirhuge battleaxes over their heads as they charged
forward with only one focus, andthat was exacting their revenge against Lizzie.
Gideon Beyond was now airborne, dodgingsmall boulders on Lizzie was down to the
last of her remaining arrows, whenGideon was lighting the last of the fire

bumps. Suddenly there was a crackof thunder and lightning that struck the ground
fifty or sixty feet behind the yoncoming giants. Three shafts of brilliant blue
light hit the ground with such forceand knocked the giants of balance. As
the dust and smoke cleared, threelarge figures stood near the shoreline, with
hoods of their cloaks obscuring their faces. The warm, humid air now felt
(02:07:03):
cold, and the chair was feltby the giants. They turned and stood
motionless, staring at these figures, who were now quite visible. They wore
armor and held shields like Beyonds. They suddenly produced giant swords and threw back
their cloaks. It was Adonio, two men even larger than him. Wings
(02:07:25):
abruptly emerged from their backs, andthey shot forward to wards the giants.
Two of them went towards Lizzie andGideon, and Adonia went towards beyond Rafa
Ferrat and Sapphire gob squared off tomeet the two Gregory, and both lost
their heads in a flash. Adonialrushed forward to wards Benabille Moabill, taking
(02:07:45):
a blow from Benobill's sword on hisshield and blocking an overhead attack from Moabill's
spiked club with his glowing sword.Moorbill froze and looked down at the stump,
but what was once his sword onlya second before. Donia wasted no
time and spun around, taking mowaBill's head, and Daniel turned his attention
to the stun. Beno Bill rushedtowards him. Part five, Fire Still
(02:08:18):
and Decision. The two Gagory, who joined Lizzie and Gideon, now faced
off against Ralph Knan and Ogya Veshas gath Lami glared with rage and Lizzie.
Gideon lit his last five on athreat to Gaflamie's feet. When it
fell shot, the giant opened hishuge mouth and laughed, saying beautiful,
(02:08:41):
weak human. And then Lizzie tookher remaining arrow and fight it right into
the giant's open mouth. He staggeredbackwards, screaming in a thunderous manner,
and sat Our Gob and Rapha Ferratswere engaged in a sword fight with a

mouth, Gideon distracted him from thefront, while Lizzie quickly came from behind.
Jumping onto the giant's back. Shestruck one of her swords deep into
his neck, causing him to flingher off as if she was a small
child, and she ladded hard ontothe ground. Gaff Lami stumbled forward to
(02:09:26):
his knees, and Gideon rushed forwardwith his sword, shouted for Aaron and
Joe severed the Bomoff's head. Asthis was happening, o Gavesh and rav
Knan went out on their knees, bleeding profusely from numerous wounds that the two

(02:09:46):
heads. Ben and Bale now slumpedto his knees missing his right arm from
the elbow down. He held hisshield up to block at Daniel's blowbird,
the blade split his shield down themiddle along with the giant's forearm. He
felt forward onto his chest and Adoniotook his head. Beyond now battled the
giant basche Riel, who stood twoheads taller, but Beyond thought fiercely blocking
(02:10:11):
and counterman making cuts to the giantsmith section and legs. When finally Bascha
Riel became angry callous and swung hissword over, extending himself. When he
did, Beyond plunged his sword upthrough its heart, and the blade came
out his back with a thick, dark blood dripping off of it, and
the kale stumbled forward that swung hissword down on Beyond with his back still
(02:10:35):
turned. Lizzie screamed, but Byornhad already begun to react. It turned
about quickly blocking the blow with hisshield and buried his blade deep into the
boughs of the giant. He tookhis foot and kicked the giant back off
his blade, and its body madea loud thud as it struck the ground
on the rocky shoreline at Adonio's feet, where he quickly severed its head.
(02:11:01):
All attention was now turned to Lucian, standing in a cave entrance behind his
hell hounds. When there was alook of fear upon his face, the
slowly turned into a sneer and grinnedas the three hounds crouched and snarled while
whimpering a bit. Now Adonia andhis two companions approached. Lucian spoke,
I see your master sent you afterme, and Adonio's booming voice spoke,
(02:11:28):
your mischief is done. You willbe bound in the earth along with the
other sons of Perdition. The threehellhound suddenly leapt forward at the three Gagoraye,
who caught them in the mid air, snapping the next the hounds fell
to the ground, instantly bursting intoflames. Adonio produced a set of chains
(02:11:48):
and handed them to Chamuel and Camuell. As they bound Lucian, he screamed,
the most high can only bind mefor a season. I shall return.
The huge shaft of light struck theground where Lucian and the two Grigory
stood. When a cloud of smokeand dust dissipated, it were gone.
(02:12:11):
Audonia turned to Gideon and bowed hishead, saying, twell done, good
servant. To day your men willhave great reward. Gideon nodded, and
Beyond said, and what now forLizzie and die? And Adonia responded,
you have passed your test, myyoung brother. To day you must make
(02:12:31):
an important choice. You may choosebetween continue in your service as the grigoray
with the highest honor, or youmay choose to be but a man again
who can have a family. Beyonopuzzled as Lizzie drew near. And you,
dear Lizzie, have thought nobody, and to day all vestiges of Vostok's
(02:12:54):
mouthfeercence will be removed from you.Beyond and Lizzie looked to each other,
and great wonder of what Adonio,It said, Adonio, now too close,
and look directly Beyond and Lizzie.Should you both choose your previous lives,
you will retain some of your abilities, for once obtains some gifts are
like buddons, which cannot be discarded. You come be like any other man
(02:13:18):
or woman, and have a family, But you will always be stronger,
more aware, and retain the heartsand sensitive true warriors. Should you choose
this, we will be looking overyou until that day you are again needed
to serve the great course. Beyondlooked at Lizzie and said, what will
(02:13:39):
you choose? She held his handand said, I once told you my
heart would always be yours. Beyondlooked at Adonio and said, we choose
each other, so be it,said Adonio, you will keep your cloak
and sword for that day, andwe call upon you but for a now
(02:14:00):
I have a life and have lovetogether. Raise strong children in a way
your father raised you, and teachthem about the ancient ways. Adonio placed
his hand on their foreheads. Foronly a second. They closed their eyes.
When they opened them again, Adoniowas gone beyond, and Lizzie felt
(02:14:24):
different. Gideon said, come, children, let me arrange passage back home
for you. You have earned it. With that, they prepare their return
home to their land to spend theirlives together. As their ship sailed home,
Beyond sat silence at the bow ofthe ship, looking up into the
(02:14:45):
night sky. Lizzie knelt next tohim, saying, your thoughts appeared deep,
my dear, Beyond responded, mylove, you look different, youthful
but mature. You are surrounded bymoney of stars. But yet you shine.
Then, Lizzie responded, you lookalmost like my youthful beyond, but
(02:15:07):
the body of a wiser man whohad suffered many trials. Yes, said
beyond, but I feel that besttrials are ahead. As he stood to
embrace her, they embraced them, stared up into the clear night sky that
the ship gently rocked and swayed. They were headed home where their journey had
(02:15:30):
begun. Epiloch, the path homeis paved with great sacrifice.
