Speaker 1 (00:02):
All right, guys, welcome back to Downtown Rams. As always,
I'm Alexis Kraft to join here with my co host,
Jake ellen Bogan, and we are coming to you live
on this Friday night to preview our upcoming matchup against
the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday. Now, Jake, we are coming
off of a loss in Carolina, which was a brutal game.

(00:25):
You know, it certainly wasn't a game that we all expected.
You know, it was not the Rams' best moment. It
was just kind of from start to finish, not what
we wanted to see. And so you know, the Rams
now going to Arizona need to I hate the phrase
get right. So we're going to talk about how we

(00:46):
can do that, how we can pull out a win
this upcoming Sunday. And I want to preface this episode
by saying, guys that there is a technology issue going on,
so please bear with us. We do not know what's
causing it. Jake, I will throw it over to you
because it looks like I might be having one right now.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I guess we're having all sorts of issues right now.
Like I was muted, uh sick?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
So yeah, yeah, a lot of issues over here on DTR.
So yeah, I mean really it was one of those
frustrating games because when you look at you know, Carolina,
I mean, the Rams do not play their best game.
Carolina plays well at home, and even still the Rams
should have won the game. You know, Matthew Stafford leads

(02:08):
four touchdown drives. But we're gonna act like he was
horrendous because the three turnovers, which like, look, I get it,
the pick six was bad. The fumble he's trying to
do something late in the game. Probably should have just
thrown it away or taken the sack. But you know,
I get it. And it was cold. It was not cold,
it was more so it was rainy. He drops the

(02:29):
ball and then the the other interception was as fluke
as it comes. You just don't get those very often
in the red zone. But I think the big thing here,
Alexis is in you and I will one hundred percent
agree is the most frustrating thing was Sean mcpay just
did not continue to run the football and Blake Koran
was averaging over eleven yards per carry. Was the best

(02:51):
game of his career. Kyra Williams, it was a run
of the mill six yards per carry game, pretty much
what we're used to and just not enough. You know,
you saw on the flip side, it felt like this
game felt so much like a Kyle Shanahan Monday night
football game. I believe it was what he ran like
forty plus times with Jeff Wilson and Elijah Mitchell and

(03:15):
you know, just kept running it because the Rams couldn't
stop them. And so that was the frustrating thing is
that Carolina wasn't ripping off ten twenty yard runs. They
were just hitting you with five yard runs every time
and basically converting you know, a first down every single time.
And it was it was really frustrating. Plus kept the

(03:36):
defense out there. Defense was exhausted. Poona Ford was banged up,
so he played in limited snaps and we saw how
important he is to this run defense. But yeah, just
a really frustrating game until only lose by three. It
is what it is onto Arizona. But yeah, that game
was really frustrating. That's what I would say. Can you

(04:02):
hear me?

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Can you hear me?

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Oh man, we are yeah, this is uh, this is
a train wreck. Okay, we are Can you.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Hear and see me?

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Okay, I'm gonna start talking and if I cut out,
just you start talking, and uh, I don't know what's
going on because my uploads speed we were doing a
whole test beforehand. The upload speeds and everything are good.
But for whatever reason, the thing that we're using to
record this podcast keeps cutting out, which doesn't make sense

(04:48):
because everything is good on our end. So I don't
know what's going on. But Jake, I'm going to assume
that you just gave kind of a brief recap about
the Carolina Panthers and go from there and I'll just
pivot towards Arizona. So I don't, you know, repeat anything
that was said. But you know, looking at this matchup, Jake,
for Sunday against a division rival, this is a really

(05:10):
really important game because it's a divisional game.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
You know, we have a win obviously against Seattle, we
have a win and a loss against the is not
in a really good spot right now. They've had a
really rough season. They've got a lot of people that
are going to be out on Sunday. I believe as
of now, uh, they've got seven starters out and that's

(05:37):
as the Friday night. So you know, this is a
game that there really is no excuse for the Rams
not to dominate. In my opinion, when you look at
the way that Arizona has played this season, and you
look at the way we know the Rams can play
this season when they're playing you know, consistent good. Uh,

(05:57):
this is really there's no excuse. You know, the Rams
going to go take care of business in Arizona on Sunday. So, Jake,
looking at the Rams, and let's start with the offense.
Let's look at you know, from what I could hear
from that recap of what you were talking about with Carolina,
you know, the Rams abandoned the run game last week

(06:19):
against the Panthers. This is a game that I'd really
like to see them start to get back into a
good rhythm with the run, you know, especially if Karen
and Blake are having success as they were last Sunday.
So do you think that that's something that the Rams
are going to look to establish when they play the
Cardinals this Sunday.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Well, doesn't it feel like Kien Williams always just douses
the Cardinals and Flames. I mean, he just absolutely destroys
Arizona every time he plays against him. I would I
would expect to get back to the run game, and
I think these two are going to probably run twenty
five thirty times this week to two out Well is
not going to be activated. That's a little interesting. You know,

(06:59):
we could into that if we want to, But yeah,
I think they're gonna try and run the football. I
feel like the best thing that can happen out of
a loss is if it's bad enough, Sean McVay is
gonna be like, Okay, let's assess this. And you know,
I remember, you know, Pooka Akua goes down with injury
and Sean McVay instead of being like, Okay, who's gonna
fill in, he changes his offense and then continues to

(07:22):
use that offense and has used it ever since with
the thirteen personnel, you know, heavy grouping. So yeah, I
think they are going to run the football. I think
that there's gonna be a lot of people, by the way,
that are going to take the Cardinals in this game.
They're going to assume the Rams are about to fall off.
I think that couldn't be further from the truth. And honestly,

(07:43):
if you have been watching Rams football the last two
and a half years, I don't know how you haven't
gotten the picture yet. The Rams are really good in December.
Matthew Staffer, I believe, has one loss in December since
he's become the Rams franchise quarterback. So yeah, it's one
of those games where it's I could see it being

(08:03):
closed because Arizona has nothing to play for, but you
have guys like Jacoby Brissett that are playing for, you know,
potentially you know, auditioning for a job next year, like
a Jameis Winston role. But I expect it's gonna be
closer than some But I don't expect the Rams to
lose this game, and I think it starts with running
the football lexus. So yeah, that's my thoughts. Oh boy, uh,

(08:43):
you are muted.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Sorry I was muted. If I repeat anything, it's because
I missed some of of what Jake said. I love
how the comments are like, okay, Alexis, you can talk now.
I appreciate how you guys are being very respectful of
the connection issues that were having. And I saw somebody
say that we're now going to the silent count, which
exactly what is happening right now. Jake and I are

(09:06):
having to find ways to communicate outside of the actual stream.
So this is a first for Downtown Rams. I appreciate
you guys being patient, But my thoughts on the offense,
you know, just looking at what I think we should
establish against Arizona is I think that we should try
to get a consistent run game going again, just because

(09:27):
you know, we need to show that we can, and
I think the team needs to show that they can
and McVeigh needs to show that he can. It was
kind of atrocious, in my opinion, the way that the
run game was mishandled against Carolina, especially in a game
in those conditions and a game against a team that
you should have been able to beat, and that I
firmly believe we are far more talented then, you know,

(09:47):
to go in and drop the ball like that and
to get way too ahead of ourselves in the past game,
and you know, when you have both your running backs
having as good of games as they did, it just was,
you know, in a usable So I think that going
against Arizona, it's a really good opportunity to try to
get Kyroen and Blake into a rhythm again. Run the ball,

(10:09):
do not force anything, show just just simple kind of
simple uh football basics right, you know, in terms of
the run game, then in terms of the offense, I
mean you already know that you've got DeVante Adams in
the red zone and that he's a threat. You know.
You know that you've got pukin Qua. I like to
see the tight ends utilized again more. You know, Terrence Ferguson,

(10:30):
this might be a good game to get him involved again,
to see what he can do. You know, you look
at like Davis Allen, He's been every time that he's
been called upon, he's been pretty consistent, you know, right,
Kolbe Parkinson's kind of been ascending. You know, he's got
what seven touchdowns and there are five touchdowns in the
season right now. I think so, I think it's a
really good game for the Rams. It's gonna sound crazy.

(10:52):
I think they need to slow down in order to
speed up. Like I think they need to get on
the field offensively, and I need to think that they
do the simple thing repeatedly, repeatedly, repeatedly. Once you've got that,
then maybe you start to get more aggressive. But it's
just we can't you know. I think what you saw
in Carolina, as you see a team getting a little

(11:12):
bit of ahead of itself and just not really getting
back to the basics. And so I think that, you know, offensively,
it might be a really good game to do that
against Arizona. So that's kind of my thoughts, you know.
On the offense, I really would like to see it simplified.
I really like to see a run heavy game against
Arizona and some tight end usage. And you know, I

(11:33):
think that Arizona's going to allow those yards if they
do want to get Stafford, you know, going through the air.
I think that, you know that that shouldn't be a problem.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Yeah, I you know what's crazy is, uh, it just
feels like everybody's out for this game for Arizona. Walter
Nolan's not going to play, Max Melton's not gonna play,
Marvin Harrison Junior out, Greg Dorsch out, Trey Benson out,
Amari de Marcado out, LJ. Collier out, Dadrian Taylor Demerson out,

(12:07):
in Christian Jones is out. A lot of injuries there
for Arizona. Really no excuse for the Rams. Rams have
one guy that is not expected to play. That is
Darius Williams. He's dealing with a tibia injury that came
up and he didn't practice at all this week, so
hopefully he's okay. That does mean that there's gonna be
I would imagine there's gonna be more of a significant

(12:29):
role for a Darion Kendrick in this rotation. I think
now he gets bumped up, but expect to see a
lot of Akello Witherspoon, a lot of Emmanuel Forbes, and
a lot of Kobe Durantu in this one. I think,
you know, you could take advantage of, you know, Max
Melton being out, the length on the outside, the athleticism
on the outside. You know, you could definitely take advantage

(12:50):
of that. Dadrien Taylor Demerson is a good safety in
his own right. The ankle is bothering him, he's gonna
be out. I think you could take advantage of that.
Arizona really being down in the running back room. See,
that's the thing. If you want to beat this Rams team,
you're gonna have to be able to run the football
because you could throw all day, and trust me, they're
going to do that with Brissett. And Brissett is enough

(13:13):
where you know he's gonna throw picks, but he's like
Jamis Winston, He's gonna throw touchdowns. As well. He's gonna
throw a lot of yards. But what it comes down
to is if you can't run the football against the
Rams and you can't solidify the play action game, you're
not gonna beat the Rams. And that's my biggest hold
up on Arizona is that I just don't know how
they're gonna be able to move the football. I mean,

(13:34):
you know, with Benson and den Marcato out, you know,
it's gonna be Bam Knight and that's really gonna be it. So,
you know, I don't necessarily think the Cardinals would be
a better team if Murray was playing, by the way,
I don't necessarily think Kyler makes them a better team.
I think this offense and the iteration of this offense,
Jacoby Brissett has done a nice job. But I just

(13:58):
think not having you know, Marma Harrison Junior, I mean,
that's gonna be a big hold back there. They do
still have Josh Sweat, you know, he basically sat out
because of rest, so that's good for them. But yeah,
I would say in this one, Alexis Michael Wilson is
the name to look out for for Arizona. He's one

(14:19):
of the hottest receivers in football the last five games.
He's in the top five in yards, and so is
by the way, so is Trey Hendrickson. So yeah, not Hendrickson,
excuse me, Trey McBride. Both of those guys are in
the top five in receiving yards last five games. So yeah,
they've been really airing it out. And essentially the Rams

(14:44):
don't allow that. And I don't think that you can
just look at last week and be like, oh, yeah,
this is the Rams. Now they're just gonna give up
a ton of yards through the air. They're gonna give
up fourth down touchdowns through the air. That I don't
believe that's the Rams for a second. And also I
think it's disingenuous to think that that is what the

(15:04):
Carolina Panthers did. I think it doesn't give them enough credit.
They were able to keep running the football, they established
the run Chuba Hubbard and Rico U Dowbell. You know
that opened up, you know the passing game. They weren't
just throwing all over the Rams secondary. That's when you
know that kind of opened up later on the game.

(15:25):
That's the thing with Arizona. Their way works against a
lot of teams. I just don't know if their way
is gonna work against the rams. So you know that's
my thoughts there. But yeah, I guess we can get
to probably bold predictions. I would I would.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Say, let's do that. Appreciate that again, connection crazy. Uh,
we're having a historic night here on downtown Rams guys
in terms of I feel like the Yeah, I mean,

(16:01):
we're just jake. I thought that we had seen it
all at this point. However, many years in now six
years and and you know what's funny is again it
just doesn't make sense because everything is showing up is perfect,
So it's like we're being haunted. It's like a supernatural
element that is like messing with the stream because the

(16:21):
levels and everything in the speed test and everything's checked out,
so there is no actual explanation for why this should
be happening. So let's get into bold predictions in the
interest of time and making sure the point gets across.
I don't think we should do our typical going taking turns.
I think we should go one by one. Maybe I

(16:42):
see you nodding your head. I think that you're in agreement,
So I think I'll go first while I while I
have audio, so looking at this game and kind of
looking at you know, what happened last week against Carolina
and what I think the Rams are going to try
to establish. Kind of hinting out what I said earlier
about trying to establish that run game, I'm going to

(17:05):
say we're gonna see two Kirien Williams rushing touchdowns. I
do kind of feel like we're gonna see a Korm
touchdown as well, because I think they've been trying to
get him more reps in the red zone, you know,
because of some struggles he had earlier this season in
the red zone. So you know, I won't be surprised if,
you know, we see some Korm in the red zone

(17:25):
as well. But I think we're gonna see two Karen
Williams touchdowns. I think what's so frustrating about what the
Rams have done recently is like, you know, who's reliable
in the red zone. And I think that what we
started to see in Carolina is what we've seen at
other points in the season when you start to try
to get too cute with it, like run it with
Kien Williams, like everybody, you know, his biggest haters call
him a goal line merchant. Fine, let him be a

(17:48):
goal line merchant, throw him in there in the red
zone and run in the ball with him. I don't
care as long as we score. So I think that
the Rams and Sean McVay hopefully had a little bit
of a wake up call against Carolina, and I think
that we're going to probably see some return to the
run game. So I'm gonna say Kien Williams two touchdowns
against Arizona. He also does pretty well against division rivals,

(18:09):
so that wouldn't be surprising. Another offensive prediction that I'm
going to make is I think we're going to see
Matthew Stafford throw for three plus touchdowns. I wanted to
say four, but then I started thinking about it, and
then I had to go back. You know, when we

(18:29):
do our score prediction, and I'm like, wait, if he
throws for four, then Kien Williams says two, that's six touchdowns,
and then that is not what I'm going to predict
for the score. So say Matthew Stafford three passing touchdowns.
He's got kind of a good run going in the
past game. Defensively, this is going to be fun because
I've been doing really good with my defensive predictions lately.

(18:52):
So this one, I'm gonna say, we're going to see
another Jared Verse two SAT game. Two plus sacks from
Jared Vers. I got it right when I've called that.
I think he's starting to heat up. You know, people
with their crazy discourse about what does Jared Verse do
right and all this, Well, I think that he's going
to come out on Sunday and I think he's going

(19:14):
to get at least two sacks. Not that he needs
to get them in order for me to still think
that he's an amazing player, but you know, with all
the discourse going on about him, I think that this
is going to really put things into perspective. So two
plus sacks from Jared Verse. My last bold prediction Jake
is we're going to see a Harrison MeVis fifty five

(19:36):
plus yard field goal. That's it. You're either muted or
I can't hear you.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
I don't know how many points that is, but that
sounds like a lot of points. All right, let's go.
I'm gonna start with defense. I'm gonna say a Kello
Witherspoon had the interception to, by the way, was the
most impactful play of the twenty twenty four NFL season.
According to Next Gen Stats, a Kello Witherspoon is going

(20:19):
to have a huge game in this one, and I
would not be surprised if he ends up with interception
and three pass breakups. A lot of throwing from Brissett
in this one. He's gonna air it all over the field.
And a Kello loves playing in Arizona. It's like his
favorite place to play, So I think he is going

(20:39):
to get up for this one and he is going
to have a huge game. Give me three pass breakups
and an interception for Keller Witherspoon. I know it's very bold,
but hey, that's what we're doing with the bold predictions.
Three pass breakups, an interception a Kello. Next up, we're
gonna see a rare three SAT game from Braiden Fisk.

(21:06):
Braiden Fisk is becoming one of the best interior rushers
in football and people don't realize it. It is so
fascinating to me. Okay, and I actually have some stuff
to point out here. So Fisk, by the way, averages

(21:27):
over three three pressures per game. It's a little over
three pressures per game. That's really good. No one talks
about it. People wanted to say it, chalk it up.
Oh he's done all that good stuff right. Well you
might not realize this, but Braiden Fisk, okay, out of

(21:49):
all of these pass rushers, regardless inter or you know,
on the outside, he averages a true pressure rate. It's
higher than totally to a Pulo two, Max Crosby, OsO, Digizawa,
Kenny Clark, Milton Williams, Vita Veya Moro, Wajomo, Jaylyx Hunt,

(22:10):
Harold Landry, Cameron Hayward, and Byron Young. According to I believe,
who was that again, Brandon Thorn. I had Blaine send
this to me. I thought it was really fascinating. By
the way, uh, pressure quality ratio. Kobe Turner has a

(22:30):
one point nine to eight, which, by the way puts
him at one two three four fifth in the league.
Braiden Fisk is sixth in the league behind Kobe Turner.
So he gets quality pressures, not just like one of
those Oh yeah, he got a hurry, we gave it
to him like whatever. No, he gets quality pressures. And
this is somebody that's just not getting enough love. And

(22:51):
I don't understand why, alexis. I don't get it. Like
when I see the tape and I see what Braidon
Fisk is doing. It's impressive. And furthermore, Braiden Fish just
had a twenty one point one win rate, which is
elite in the league. That's one of the best win
rates of the entire week thirteen among all interior pass rushers.

(23:13):
So give me three sacks for Braiden Fisk. He's gonna
end up being a star in this league. I don't
think people realize it. People are sleeping on him. Give
me three sacks for him. We're gonna go over the
offense here, and I'm gonna say I have a weird
feeling that they just love Xavier Smith and that's why
Too Too out Well isn't playing. I still think Atwell

(23:34):
is gonna be a part of the festivities against the Lions,
and I think he's gonna be really important in the playoffs.
But like what the Rams tend to do, we saw
Jordan Whittington have a fun time last year and then
he kind of fell off and we saw you know,
of course, kannate Monmfield catch the touchdown against Jacksonville and
everyone jumped on that bandwagon. So he led the team

(23:57):
in receiving last week, and I think I think Exavier
Smith is going to catch a fifty plus yard touchdown
in this one, a bomb for Exavier Smith. And I
think Kyron Williams is going for one hundred and fifty
plus yards in this one. That's all I can really say.
That's my bold prediction. Yeah, there we go.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Love it, Love to hear it. And I think that
Brandon Fist is I think he's a little bit overlooked
because he kind of started the season injured, right, and
so he started, you know a little slow, and I
think people kind of just, I don't want to say
forgot about him, but maybe they just had unrealistic expectations,
you know. When he came back and I mean, he's
been playing great and he did have to heat up

(24:41):
a little bit. I do think that that injury was
still bothering him even when he started playing again. You
saw it kind of like limited snap count as a
lot of us notice, Like, I just think it took
him a while to get fully healthy. And now he's
fully healthy, so hopefully people, you know, start giving him
credit where credit is due. And I mean that defensive

(25:01):
front guys for the Rams is just great, and you
know there's so much talent there that when you've got
you know, people playing so well, you know, it's easy
to overlook maybe like a Brandon Fisk or a Kobe Turner,
guys on the inside like a Puna Ford. It's a
really good problem to have. So totally agree with your

(25:23):
fist comments, Jake. Getting into score prediction, I have the
Rams winning thirty eight to seventeen. If you guys noted
my predictions, my bold predictions earlier, that was a total
of thirty eight points. You know, I think that Arizona

(25:43):
is going to struggle a little bit offensively, but you know,
they've got like Trey McBride, and I think that, you know,
sometimes with like tight ends like that, the Rams can
struggle a little bit. I do think that Arizona is
going to take a play out of Carolina's playbook and
get the run game potentially going, you know, against the
so I think they're going to be able to put
some points on the board, probably later in the game.

(26:06):
But I think that the Rams are going to easily
win this game, and they should easily win this game
as well. This is not, by any means, in my opinion,
a bold score prediction. You know, when you look at
the way that the Rams have been playing, this should
be something that they're able to do. But as we've
seen against Carolina, you can't take anything for granted. It's
any given Sunday, so the Rams need to show up

(26:28):
and handle business, you know, on Sunday. This is not
going to be just given to them. But I do
think that they're going to lock in and play to
their full potential and win thirty eight to seventeen.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
I like that. I'm going to go with twenty eight
to twenty. I think it's going to be close to them.
Maybe some people think the Rams will be in control,
but I just think Arizona will just keep throwing down
the field. Jacoby Brissett is fearless. That'll get them into
some trouble, as I said with the interception, but it'll
also keep them in the game. And so I think

(27:00):
this is a classic. I see a lot of Jameis
Winston in Jacoby Brissett, just kind of that gunslinger mentality.
So with that said, I think it's a twenty eight
twenty game. I think the Rams score four touchdowns and
I think, you know, the Rams are able to hold Arizona,
and I wouldn't be surprised if Arizona has a ultimate
chance to win this game and they kind of, I guess,

(27:23):
pissed it away because I could see them going for
it on fourth down with kind of nothing to lose
and everything to gain. I could totally see them going
for it on fourth down a few times. And the Rams.
I know last week it didn't feel great, but the
Rams have one of the if not the best fourth
down defense in football. That didn't just change in one game.
So I'm kind of expecting it to be that type

(27:45):
of game twenty eight to twenty and then you know,
you go on to the Lions game and that game
should be something else. So we'll see what ends up happening.
But to wrap it up here, just want to get
to some supers and give us shouts to today's sponsor, Sleeper.
Appreciate y'all, and of course be sure to check out

now we get to some super chats. We got Gamin Brown,

(28:31):
forty nine er fan that has been following the channel
for a while. Appreciate you as a forty nine ers fan.
I would like to stay. We never said Brock Party
has been Matthew Stafford. That's a touse. We just said
Stafford isn't as good as Party. That's the difference. There's
not one thing except for mobility, and that's I would say,
there's not one thing except for running that Brock Party

(28:53):
is better than Matthew Stafford at he's a jag and
I actually was pretty high on him, and he proved
it to me. I think he's just he's just a
guy in a really good system. And what I find
funny is Alexis. I don't know if you've noticed this,

(29:14):
but the same people that ripped Jimmy Garoppolo to shreds,
they're kind of defending Jimmy Garoppolo. This is in a way,
rock Perty is not a lot different than Jimmy Garoppolo.
He kind of just proved the whole point that I've
made in that Kyle Shanahan just has this system and

(29:35):
it's almost like because Trey Lance didn't work out, which
by the way, Kyle Shanahan deserves blame for because he
only gave him like five starts, But because Trey Lance
didn't work out, it's like their argument now like, oh, well,
see he didn't work out, but Perty did. It's like
Party hasn't done anything more than Garoppolo in terms of

(29:55):
he got you to a super Bowl and you lost,
like you know what I mean. So it's literally the
the same outcome, and yet Jimmy Garoppolo gets a lot
of shade when they both felt just short. That's my
take on that.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
Yeah, I don't know in what world what Rock Party
is better than Matthew Stafford out other than mobility. As
you said, you know, I I think that Party plays
very very well in Shanahan's system, and I think Mac
Jones probably does it a little bit better as well,

(30:32):
if I'm being honest. But you know what, I have
nothing against Rock Purty as a person. I think he's
a really nice guy. I think he's get really good
good for the forty nine Ers fan base has done
a lot for that community, but I do would not
ever want him as my quarterback personally. Yeah, I appreciate
your support.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
Yeah, I appreciate you Gammon. Yeah, I think Mac Jones
better personally. And I think my biggest issue with is
he used to not turn the ball over and now
I think he's gotten cocky with it and he does
turn the ball over, and now he plays he doesn't
play within the system as much and that's when he struggles.
So that also is kind of a dead giveaway that

(31:14):
he's just a system quarterback good enough to be in
the NFL. Trust me, It's not like I could do
what he does. But you know, in terms of comparing
him to who I believe is the most underrated quarterback
in NFL history and Matthew Stafford, yeah not even close. Tyrone,
thank you for the five we needed to just win.

(31:35):
I don't care who was hurt because teams seem to
get up and play when just when I don't care
about what should have happened. That's fair, I agree, Yeah,
I mean it was frustrating. I also think you get
kind of this fatigue from winning. You win six straight,
you have to carry that. The next thing is now

(31:55):
it's a seventh straight and an eighth straight keeps going.
We saw that with New England. I mean they went
six to t and oh and everyone was talking about
the perfect season, perfect season, perfect season, and then they
lose to the Giants, a team that didn't even win
their division. So you say what you will, but I
do think that's kind of the the on the kind
of the thing that isn't talked about nearly enough is

(32:17):
you have to carry that winning streak and that does
become a heavy burden to carry, and I think it
could have affected them. At the same time, they should
have won despite all of that. Edwin, thank you for
the five. Appreciate you, Love you both. Alexis. What would
your household look like if the Bears went to the
went to LA to meet the Rams the NFC Championship.

(32:38):
Happy holidays to you both.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
Well, happy holidays to you as well. Thank you for
the secrets, so Edwins so for contacts. In Edwin's comment,
half of my family is Bears fans, half is Rams fans.
So I think it would be a very fun matchup

(33:01):
if the Rams were to play the Bears. Personally, out
of all that teams in the NFC, the Bears are
one that I would like to play without getting too
much into that if we were in a playoff situation,
but I think it would be fun. You know, the
Rams and the Bears have played each other quite a bit,
I would say in the past, you know, decade. You know,

(33:23):
Matthew Stafford's first game was against the Bears, and we
all remember how that went. I watched that game with
my dad and my grandpa, who are both Bears fans,
so you know, it's usually fun and I you know,
it has most of the time been good for me
as a Rams fan, but I was at the game
at Soldier Field last season that wasn't fun, you know,

(33:44):
that game that we lost to the Bears. But yeah,
I think it would be I think it'd be really
it'd be a fun NFC championship game, but the one
side whoever lost would be very unhappy and have to
live with that. You know. If like if it were
me and you know, the Rams loss of the Bears,
it would be really not fun for me. But I

(34:05):
would cheer for the Bears in the Super Bowl for
my grandpa. But hopefully I don't. I'm not in that.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
Situation, so yeah, yeah, hopefully not Yeah, so I guess
that's gonna do it. Alex, if you can hear me,
you can sign off.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
I can't. It's crazy because the last ten ten minutes
of this episode that the demons have stots and it's
been fine. It was just the entire like seventy five
percent of the show that we couldn't hear or see
each other, and now that we're at the end, it's good.
But guys, we appreciate you guys for tuning in if
you've been listening live tonight. We really appreciate you guys

(34:44):
sticking around despite all of the technology issues that seemed
to have potentially been coming from stream Yard but who knows. Uh.
We we appreciate you guys being really really cool in
the chat means a lot. You know, it can be frustrating.
You know, we will be watching on Sunday as we
play Arizona, as we know all of you guys will.
We'll be back next week recapping that game and talking

(35:06):
about that. But guys, as always, if you like what
you hear, please like and subscribe. Please follow us on
social media at Downtown Rams. We've started using our Instagram

We will talk to you soon and as always, stay safe,
take care and go Rams.
