(03:05):
talk about the Hulkster. This is a story that hits
close to home for anyone who's ever trusted a doctor,
which is all of us. But sometimes you wonder when
you walk away, were you given the right care? And
Hulk Hogan was an icon, a man who bodies slammed giants,
but may have been brought down by something fall smaller.

(03:29):
And that's a medical mistake. Was it a damaged nerve
during surgery or was it mismanaged medications? And now's coming
up with a pretty wild theory of a misdiagnosis of
leukemia where his own daughter insists there was no family
history of cancer. Folks, this isn't just about wrestling lore anymore.

(03:53):
It's about accountability. Now, let's go ahead and get into
the nitty gritty of what really might have happened to
hul Cogan and why it matters to all of us. Again,
this is a story you heard first on the Doctor
Bob Martin Show, the Mysterious Death of Hulkogan, and it's
a tale of tragedy, suspicion, and now possibly medical malpractice.

(04:18):
I want to give you again a little bit of background.
The wrestling world was left in shock on July twenty
fourth when the legendary hul Cogan passed away at his
home in Clearwater, Florida. The initial reports pointed to cardiac
arrest as the cause of death, but as the days unfolded,
a different narrative has emerged, one that has hinted at

(04:39):
possible medical malpractice and raised questions about the circumstances surrounding
the icon's untimely death. Hulk Hogan was He was a
titan in the wrestling world, a man who had battled
giants in the rain and emerged victorious time and time again.
Yet on that July morning. It wasn't an opponent foul

(05:02):
that made him fall, but something maybe far more insidious.
According to reports, Hogan was at home when he suddenly
stopped breathing. His wife, Sky, immediately called nine to one
to one, but by the time medics arrived, it was
too late. Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene outside Hogan's Florida mansion,

(05:22):
where police cars lined the streets, EMTs rushing in and
out in the wrestling legend being carried out on a stretcher.
The official cause of death was listed as acute miocardial
and farction. What we know is a heart attack, but
whispers of foul play began circling almost immediately Sky. His wife,

(05:45):
has now revealed to investigators that one of her husband's
prinic nerves, a critical nerve responsible for controlled breathing, had
been damaged during a recent neck surgery. This revelation sent
shock waves throughout both the medical and wrestling can unities.
In An occupational therapist that was present at Hogan's home
confirmed Sky's claims, telling police that during one of Hogan's

(06:09):
recent procedures that next surgery, a surgeon may have accidentally
severed or damaged this vital nerve, the one that controls breathing.
Unlike a typical heart attack victim who might experience chest
pain or discomfort before collapsing, Hogan reportedly just stopped breathing
without warning. This raised red flags for his family and

(06:30):
medical professionals alike. Is it something that could have been
avoided or was it a tragic accident? Hulk Hogan's daughter, Brooke,
has been vocal about her suspicions regarding her father's death.
In an emotional interview on the Bubba Love Bubba the
Love Sponge Show, she expressed the disbelief overclaims that her

(06:51):
father had leukemia, a diagnosis that's now being mentioned in
some medical reports and as I look at it, maybe
another way to cover themselves from malpractice. But she went
on to say, quote, we don't have cancer in our family.
She also went on to say I saw all of
his medical reports before the surgery. There was never any

(07:11):
sign of leukemia unquote. Brooke also accused medical staff of
negligence during her father's hospital stays. She claimed she had
to act as a guard to prevent nurses from taking
unauthorized photos of him while he slept, and even caught staff,
administering double doses of medication, or giving him the wrong
drugs altogether. She said this with her voice trembling with

(07:36):
anger and grief. Rightfully so, and if we go further
into this the police investigation. The Clearwater Police Department has
been tight lipped about their findings, but have confirmed they
are actively investigating Hogan's death as potential malpractice. They've interviewed witnesses,
collected medical records, and reviewed body cam footage from the

(07:59):
office who responded to the scene that day. Sources close
to the investigations suggest that conversations captured on bodycms may
contain damning evidence about what truly happened behind closed doors
at Hogan's home and during his surgeries. Meanwhile, rumors are
swirling around about whether Hogan's body has been cremated yet,

(08:21):
a detail that could impact further autopsy or forensic examination
if Brooke gets her way in demanding one. So Hulkgan
he was no stranger to controversy during his lifetime but
backstage wrestling, politics and public scandals, but his death has
cast an even darker shadow over his legacy. So fans

(08:41):
are left wondering did negligence rob them of their hero
or is there more to story than meets the eye?
And doctor Bob, I want to get your opinion on this.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Well, the last time I saw Hall Cogan, I think,
on television was at the Publican National Committee meeting on
television where he ripped his shirt off. He was quite
a colorful individual, quite an interesting yeah, to say the least.
And you know, the whole thing is a cluster from
the very beginning, let's face it. But it really begins

(09:18):
with elective surgery. Elective surgery is surgery that's of a
non emergency basis, which means that well, you can have
it or not. And that's where that's where the problem
begins is And we see this a lot. We know
that statistically, every single year, it's estimated that hundreds of thousands,

(09:45):
hundreds of thousands of Americans die here in the US
due to medical errors or mistakes. And that could be
mistakes associated with surgery. It could be a mistake associated
with giving the long drugged the wrong patient the wrong dose.
It could be related to developing an infection in a

(10:06):
hospital that you didn't have when you went through the
doors of the hospital. So you know, a lot of
these things that occur that go wrong in medicine happen frequently.
Most people don't learn about it. We would never have
learned about learned about Hulk Hogan's dilemma, his situation had
he not been famous. This happens every single day. In fact,

(10:30):
medical miscare. Medical miscare in the US is the number
one cause of death. Everybody thinks it's hard disease and
heart attacks, cardiovascular disease, it's not. That's number two. Cancer
is number three, and the list goes on. Let's take
a break here, doctor Brockman. When we come back, let's
get back into this. People need to know about this

(10:52):
so they can protect themselves and their family members. Stay tuned,
ladies and gentlemen, will be right back. It'so the Doctor
Bob margin Show.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
That chat.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
And a happy and healthy welcome for Welcome back to
this hour of the Doctor Bob Martin Show. Thank you
so very much for tuning into the program with me,
of course, as my co host an executive producer of
the program, Doctor Adam Brockman. He's over there. I'm over here.
We're so glad you tuned into the program. We're also
going to let you know that coming up stick around

(11:47):
because We're going to get to your phone calls, people
calling into the Doctor Bob Martin Show caller hotline phone number,
and I'll give that out momentarily, grab something, do you
write the number down with on people having the opportunity
to call our toll free number and ask a question
about their own personal health or the health of somebody

(12:08):
else they care about. You can also on that same
number call it and make a comment about something you've
heard on the show or a health related comment. Doctor
Brocklin and I listen to all the calls and you
may hear it the next week on the air. All right,
That number eight hundred six zero six eight eight two two.

(12:29):
Eight hundred six zero six eighty eight twenty two the
calling number to ask your question or make your health comment.
You can also go to my website at doctor Bob
dot com spelling out the word doctor doctor Bob dot
com and there is an easy simple form to fill
out to ask a question about your health or somebody
else's out there to make a health comment. Again one

(12:49):
eight hundred six zero six eighty eight twenty two or
doctor Bob dot com. All right, now, the topic is
Hulk Hogan, a famous individual a sports superstar icon in
the wrestling industry dying prematurely, and now we have a

(13:13):
lot of conjecture as to how he really died. Now,
Doctor Brockman, you brought up mild cardial and farction, which
is the same as heart attack. That wasn't the original diagnosis.
It was cardiac arrest, which is completely different than a
heart attack. Cardiac arrest is where the heart stops suddenly

(13:37):
and sometimes temporarily, so we don't know. And then you know.
Now we've got leukemia being thrown onto Barbie and all
kinds of other diagnoses I'm sure to follow in order
to see ya the medical system once again. And as
I said before we took our break there, the number
one cause of death in the United States is well

(13:59):
known own by health practitioners who care to find this out. Unfortunately,
some people find it out after the fact, after they
lose somebody, and that is medical miscare. Medical miscare is
a situation that happens. It happens sometimes when you're dealing
with surgeries, medications, things that go on in hospitals, etc. Now,

(14:24):
these acts are not done on purpose. They are basically
screw ups often dealing in these areas. These high risk areas.
Doctors don't mean to kill their patients. I mean no,
but stuff happens when you're dealing with high risk like this.
And this is why when you lead up to that
decision in your life to either go forward with a

(14:47):
surgery that is not there to save your life, meaning
emergency surgery, and you elect to go forward with a
surgery which may take your life, stuff can go wrong,
go wrong, go wrong. It can, and it does, and
in the case of the halkster, it did. And now

(15:08):
of course we are hearing all kinds of possibilities. I mean,
we were the very first Doctor Brockman, do you realize this,
We were the very first nationally syndicated radio health talk
show to discuss this. I don't even know if it
was discussed in terms of the possibility that this is
not normal to have a death so short in span

(15:31):
between surgery and the person dying. You and I talked
about it. We thought, no, there's something wrong here. Very
likely his death was caused by the surgery. But of
course the medical profession has found ways, as they almost
always do, to cover stuff up, mostly six feet below

(15:51):
the ground. And now it's being unwound. Now this wouldn't
even be an investigated. Nobody would even heard about this
unless the person was famous and had a famous had
a daughter who was advocating for him in his death.
And that's how these things get started. And people, you know,
doctor Brockman, I'm sure you know this, people don't realize
how risky. I mean, medical care can save your life too.

(16:13):
Of course, if you have a surgery that's required in
an emergency situation, you bet medical a fine medical and
excellent trained medical doctors and medical professionals save lives every
single day, and medications drugs can save lives. But this
is one of those cases again, and it's not rare,
This happens frequently. That's why the number one cause of

(16:35):
death in America is medical miscare. We know this fact.
I mean, it's the equivalent of a major jumbo jet
crashing into the earth. Every single day, three hundred and
sixty five days a year is the equivalent of medical
miscare and the deaths associated with And that sounds that
sounds over the top, doesn't It sounds harsh, but it's

(16:56):
the reality. It's true. And unfortunately Lee Hulk Hogan is
a victim of that system. What's worse besides his death
is them, meaning the medical profession, now trying to cover
it up the autopsy. I mean we used to fifty
years ago, we used to autopsy people to try to

(17:18):
find out why they died. Fifty percent of people who died,
let's say fifty years ago, they all had autopsies. Let's
figure this out. Maybe we can learn from our errors
or learn something about this person so that we can
save another person's life. No, no, no, five percent, maybe
five percent today out of all the people who die,
are autopsy to find out why they died. And the

(17:41):
case here with Hulk Hogan's death. The coroner designated his
death as oh, yeah, he had a heart attack or
he had cardiac arrest, which is not correct. What is
now being learned is that there was something else amiss here.
There was a medical mistake. The doctor sent him home

(18:02):
to die and gave him. I'm sure opioids, which they
themselves can cause cardiac arrest opioid adverse side effects. But
if he severed, that surgeon severed his frentic nerve, which
runs right through the middle of his neck, right through
the medical mid section of his neck anterior section. If
he severed that and he knew he severed it, he

(18:24):
sent him home with drugs. He may not have known
he severed it and sent him home with drugs. Either way,
he died. And here we are, doctor Brockman, and it's
a tragic situation no matter how you slice and dice it.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
Absolutely, absolutely, and doctor Bob. As these investigations continue, and
these and it's ultimately these lawsuits are looming on the horizon.
Legal experts. They are predicting that Sky, his wife, or
Brook his daughter, may pursue action against healthcare providers. You know,
the one thing is clear, the final chapter of hul
Comania is far from over. In the in these key

(18:57):
questions still are unanswered. Was Cogan misdiagnosed with leukemia? I mean,
I think we need to be real. Hew Brooke is
insisting there was no history of cancer in their family
or prior medical reports supporting this claim. And then there's
the surgical errors contribute to his death in this alleged
damage to his phrenic nerve, which seems very likely in

(19:19):
this case, that's a possible malpractice. And we're the medications mismanaged.
Brooke is claiming the systemic issues across the board with
his care team. You know, they're taking pictures, they're giving
him more drugs. They're probably doing by doctor's orders. Here
in the bodycam footage. Maybe interests in this law enforcement?

(19:41):
What does law enforcement know? This is pivotal in covering
this negligence or the misconduct.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
Now, Doctor Brockman, you know bodycams. I've been advocating bodycams
in the surgical operatory centers for decades on this radio show.
This is what needs to happen, because if we had
those films, we could figure out why so many people die.
But the medical professions fought this tooth and nailed. They

(20:06):
don't want body cams in there because they know that
if it happens, we're gonna get to the truth. We're
not going to bury our mistakes six feet down.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Yeah, Doctor Bob hulk Hogan once famously said that let's
train harder, say your prayers, and take your vitamins. But
did those who cared for him, meaning his medical team,
that did they fail him when it mattered most? And
as fans are mourning their fallen hero, they demanded answers
in justice for the Haulkster himself, because he can't do

(20:36):
it at this at this point, there's more to this story,
and we're gonna come back right after these messages to
dive in this a little bit further. This is a
Doctor Bob Martin show. You're listening to it on Radio America.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
Are you waiting for the writing us waiting for same shoes?
Wi Spechs Studies.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Fine Money and welcome back?

Speaker 3 (21:27):
Listen Doctor Adam Brockman, and you're listening to the Doctor
Bob Martin Show, where we're all about smarter living and
thriving naturally and teaching you to become your own best doctor.
Most of the time. Remember if you've got questions about
natural health, nutrition, or anything in between, or the topic
we're talking about today, our toll free hotline is open,

(21:48):
and that's eight hundred six zero six eight eight two two.
We're two licensed physicians, Doctor Bob and I were standing
by to help you unlock your best self. That's eight
hundred six zero six eight eight two to two. All right,
let's get right back into it, and Doctor Bob again,
we're talking about the Hulk Hogan story. And we've had
so many calls in emails on this topic, but I

(22:11):
want to read one that really stood out to me.
It's anonymous one and I didn't even know you could
make anonymous emails until now, until I tried to reply
to it and did't go anywhere. But I want to
go ahead and read this anonymous email. And sometimes it's
just as important to get the facts straight, and that's
what we're talking about today. So with this, with this question,

(22:32):
I'm also want to introduce a new health segment. And
this may not be something's weekly, but we'll show up
time to time when it's needed. So let me go
ahead and read this email. So again, this is anonymous email,
and this is what it says. As a neurosurgeon, I
was disappointed by the recent segment discussing Hulk Hogan's next surgery.
Your coverage of Hulk Hogan's next surgery was a disservice

(22:54):
to medicine in your audience. His cause of death was
cardiac arrest. So I'm thinking this email was sent just
a little bit before the facts were straight. So with that, Phil,
I want to go ahead and start this new segment.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
You want answers. I think I'm entitled. You want answers.
What the truth is?

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Just give.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
This is the health truth and nothing but the health truth,
and doctor Bob, I'm gonna go ahead and wind you up.
I'm already wound up, and we just addressed most of
this in the first conversation. So I want to dress
something equally as important here, and that is why you
should do conservative care before next surgery. And you should
exhaust every option before any spinal surgery. And when I

(23:43):
say conservative care, I mean chiropractic and regenda medicine. With that,
we're going to talk the truth and nothing but the
health truth. All right, this is why you should do.
Chiropractice should always come first. The safety. There's virtually zero
risk of paralysis, infection, or hard word failure. I have
personally performed over two hundred and fifty thousand spinal adjustments,

(24:05):
and our family of clinics have done much more than that,
and not one issue. Maybe some muscle soreness from restoring
the body's functional range of motion. That's similar to soreness
with braces on your teeth, because we're both doing the
same thing. One's aligning the spine and one is aligning
your teeth. And the science behind it the adjustments reduce

(24:27):
nerve compression, inflammation and restore function. No scalpels are needed.
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of research studies out
there confirming chiropractics benefits. Let's talk about the numbers here.
The US waste ten billion dollars a year on unnecessary
spinal surgeries. And that's according to the Journal of American

(24:49):
Medical Association, and that was published just this year, twenty
twenty five. But that's not all. The failure rate is
what is alarming and should concern you. Now, let's talk
about back surgery. It should be viewed as a last
resort for those suffering from chronic back pain. However, the
reality is that many patients who undergo back surgery do

(25:11):
not achieve the relief that they were hoping for. In fact,
studies indicate that about forty to sixty percent of patients
experience what is known as failed back surgery. In my
experience treating thousands of patients, I think the number is
quite higher than that. It's probably seventy or eighty percent
where the pain after surgery persists. Failed back surgery syndrome

(25:32):
is the only failed surgery with its own diagnosis code.
The risk associated with back surgery can include infection, nerve damage,
and complications from anesthesia, not to mention a lengthy recovery time.
In many cases, conservative treatments like chiropractic care, regenta medicine,
and lifestyle changes can provide significant relief without surgery. Now,

(25:58):
it's not unusual that the patients they're not to fault
here as they don't know what to do or what
should they avoid, and are not given the truthful advice.
It is misinformation relayed by surgeons that simply do not
know themselves all the options that are out there, or
do not want to know because it might affect their
bottom line. They are trained if there is an issue

(26:22):
to cut it out, fuse it, or give highly addictive
pain medicine thanks to Big Pharma's push. So I want
to extend an invite to any neurologist or neurosurgeon that's
listening today. Call us at eight hundred six zero six
eight eighty two to two or email us through the
website at doctor Bob dot com. I'd love to bring

(26:43):
factual information in your thoughts. I want your thoughts not
to recite what Big Pharma is telling you to say.
Let's have an open dialogue about the benefits of conservative
care and other health approaches in when there is a
need for surgery or pain management, because sometimes there is
a need for that. And I also want to mention
here Regenda medicine. We have had thousands of success stories

(27:05):
in our clinics with Regenda medicine through injections and now
alongside technology like Nuvasel, which we talk about on the show,
I probably recommend that to patients. So chiropractic care is
not just about alleviating pain. It's all about enhancing overall
health and wellness. And if you combine that Regenda medicine,
you've got a winning combination. Both focus on the body's

(27:27):
ability to heal itself, promoting a holistic approach that can
lead to an improved quality of life. So if you're
listening and you're considering chiropractic care, Regina medicine, or you're
facing the prospect of back surgery, I encourage you to
do your own research, consult with qualified professionals, and explore

(27:48):
all your options. Is remember, knowledge is power. In understanding
the facts can help you make informed decisions about your health.
So haulk Hogan's story a cautionary tale without it's not
exposing the real villain yet, and that is a system
that pushes surgery as a first resort when it should
be the last resort. How about this, The Mayo Clinic

(28:11):
now recommends chiropractic care before surgery. So for the anonymous emailer,
do you not do that? Doctor? So again, to the
doctor who wrote the email to the show, I want
to know, is your next strain from being so far
up big farm as you know what to see clearly
about this. I know your pocketbook matters, but so do

(28:32):
our listener's health. And here is an invite to you,
anonymous doctor, to be on the show. Let's have a
conversation about this. You just may have to leave your
name this time, all.

Speaker 4 (28:41):
Right, doctor Bob, Good luck with that one. The guy's
a coward and he will remain a coward. That's just
who he is. It's what he's about. That's why he
didn't sign his name. It's why he didn't want anybody
knowing who he is. Look, America's basic healthcare system is
an expensive mess. The system that runs, monitor and disciplines
it also a mess privileges, rules, patients, mercy. I mean,

(29:05):
there's so much to unravel here, but ultimately we go
right back to the center of this problem. Hogan had
an elective surgery. He had all kinds of other options
available to him that he didn't perhaps know about, wasn't
aware of, and he should have been aware of and
should have had access to. But this apparent surgeon neurosurgeon,

(29:30):
got ahold of him, said something to the effect, I'm imagining,
Oh yeah, we'll take care of that, no problem. And now,
of course we find that he is no longer with us.
Stuff like this happens more often than you think, Ladies
and gentlemen, why do you think medical miscare is the
number one cause of death in America? Now you know why?

(29:51):
All right, we're gonna come right back, doctor Brockman, stand by,
ladies and gentlemen. You're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Show, so so good. I'm abus of his number.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
Sim invincible, the one never single means a power.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
All right, welcome or welcome back. You know, k Hogan
thought he was invincible. He thought he was unstoppable until
an ill advised surgery occurred in his life that took
his life, an ill advised surgery on his neck, his spine,
wherein I'm sure that he had chronic problems associated with

(30:52):
his neck, because, after all, when you're in professional wrestling
and come off the top rope and people bounce around
on your head and your neck and your back, stuff happens,
as the bumper sticker says, And I'm sure he had
all kinds of chronic problems. Unfortunately, he consulted with a
neurosurgeon who basically said to him, YEP, I can fix

(31:17):
that problem. Let's go and really, probably, and again I'm
guessing here, I don't know what was said, but all
I can say is that he probably soft pedaled the risks,
as in, well, Hulk, do you know that there's a
possibility with this surgery that you could die? You could
die if I severed the frenic nerve in your neck,

(31:38):
which happens to be very close to where my scalpel
is going to be cutting you wide open in order
to do whatever procedure I have to do, fuse your neck,
do a diskectomy, whatever the procedure may be, I may
kill you. Are you still down with this surgery? Do
you want to rethink this? Do you want to seek
out conservative care first? Are you aware that chiropractic physicians

(32:04):
have over one hundred different techniques that they can employ
to help you out people just like you in their
offices all over America. Tens of millions of people get
care for chronic neck problems like you and do not
have to go under the knife and risk dying. You
might want to exhaust that. You might want to consider
doing that before doing what I do as a surgeon.

(32:28):
And if that doesn't work and you completely exhaust it.
The over one hundred different techniques that chiropractors employ, and
that one of them happens to be manual manipulation of
the neck where you hear some crepitous noise, maybe like
cracking noise, That's only one of over one hundred different techniques.
There are ones that can be employed that are softer,

(32:50):
that are gentler. There's a non force, low force. Therefore,
it is one of the safest, most enviable safety records
of any healing art today. Safer than dentistry, safer than pedietry, say,
of course, safer than all medical procedures. So therefore the
risks are low and the benefits are high. In fact,
a hulk. Did you know that eighty five percent of

(33:15):
patients who are chiropractic patients use less pharmaceutical drugs A hulk.
Are you aware that under the care of a chiropractic
physician sixty two percent fewer outpatient surgeries are performed, mister
Hulk Hogan, I want to also let you know that
if you're under the care of a chiropractor, sixty percent

(33:36):
fewer hospital emissions occur. So before you go forward with
deciding on surgery, you might want to rethink your situation.
Now that should have happened, and of course it never happens.
And the only way we're finding out in the public
is finding out about this doctor Brockman is this man
is famous, and had it been you know, just Joe normal,
Joe sixpack, we would have never heard a word. But

(33:58):
thousands and thousands of people have this happen to them
every year, tens of thousands, probably in the United States
have it happen to them, and nobody ever learns about it,
never gets the front page, and you never get national
news because why the person who died, the person who
was injured is not famous. And that is where we
need to wake people up so that they understand there

(34:21):
are options that exist and they need to try to
seek them out. All right, And I'll throw it back
to you.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
Yeah, And that's the question. If the Mayo Clinic is
the gold standard, why are not we not using these
recommendations here? And they clearly state to use chiropractic first
for back pain, neck pain, and muscular skeletal type of pain.
So why are we not doing that? Doctor Bob? I
think it has to do with the bottom line of

(34:49):
these physicians. There's there's far more money in surgeries and
pharmaceuticals than passing it off to something that may actually
work and make them healthier. What have you on that? Well?

Speaker 4 (35:01):
I well, first of all, I want to say that
the majority of doctors, surgeons or otherwise will do the
right thing on behalf of their patients. We know this,
But there is a there is a set a certain
percentage of allopathic practitioners mds, doos that you know, they're

(35:21):
looking at the person as they come through the door
as a monetary basis, meaning okay, let's see one came in.
Let's see what can I earn there?

Speaker 2 (35:31):
It happened.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
Folks, If you don't think that doctors are businessmen and
women and it's a it's a business, you're living in
a fairy tale. It is a business. Healthcare is a business,
and mistakes happen every day. It'd be naive to believe
that it doesn't happen. The majority of doctors are doing
the right thing on behalf of their patients most of

(35:54):
the time, but then you have a percentage of them
they're just dishonest and when you go to try to
get them rained in, these medical boards are impotent. The
licensing boards rarely discipline anybody. It's difficult to find out
what the actions were taken on the file the complaint.

(36:15):
The insurance companies put in the fine print. They don't
let the victims sue. They only allow you to arbitrate.
It's like a kangaroo setting. It's a kangaroo setting all fixed,
and before you get there, doctors won't testify against one another.
Oh yeah, the whole thing is a complete disaster. And

(36:35):
let's hope that the Trump administration, with Bobby Kennedy Jr.
At the helm of the HHS Health and Human Services,
can straighten this screwed up healthcare system we have under
the directions of medical care.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
You're listening to the Doctor Bob Martin Show, will be right.

doc t o r Bob dot com, where you're gonna

(38:22):
find a lot of resources, a lot of health resources, recaps,
and even exclusive content you won't hear anywhere else. Now,
let me leave you with this. Hulk Hogan was a
larger than life figure who taught us to train hard
and say our prayers and take our vitamins. But his
death reminds us of something even more critical. We must

(38:45):
also demand truth from those that are entrusted with our care,
whether it's questioning a diagnosis, or double checking medications, or
simply speaking up when something feels off. Your health is
worth fighting for. And doctor Bob, do you have any
final thoughts?

Speaker 4 (39:04):
Well, most people hear it in the form of somebody saying, well,
there was a complication. The complication was when you started
under the care of somebody that you shouldn't have been
under the care of. It should have been an alternative
that you should have been offered up to. And this
comes close to home with me, Doctor Brocklan, because many
many years ago, my father also died as a result

(39:27):
of a medical complication when a heart surgeon decided to
put a pacemaker in his chest that he did not need.
It was unnecessary. It was one of those slam dunk situations.
And in response to a pacemaker that was ill advised,
I didn't know about it. It happened in the late
of night while I was sleeping, and soon after he died.

(39:48):
In response to that, all they had to do is
just observe him for a while, maybe put him on
a magnesium drip to smooth out his heart rhythm, and
he would have been just fine. No, they had to
do the surgery, make the money while he was still
not room temperature, and as a result of that surgery,

(40:08):
he lost his life unnecessarily. And this happens over and
over and over in the United States, and it ought
not and the system needs to be changed. It's broken,
and we lose so many of our loved ones. I
know many people can relate to this, loved ones and
friends in response to doing medical procedures, cutting, slicing, dicing,
and doing procedures that should have never ever happened. And

(40:31):
Hulk Hogan and my father and many many millions of
other people are classic examples of how this happens. Folks.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
So buyer, beware.

Speaker 4 (40:39):
Covey at amptor is what it's all about. All right,
Stay tuned. We're coming right back to the next hour
the Doctor Bob Martin Show with doctor Adam Brockman. We'll
be ready back
