than forty years now. However,the criticism I am talking about today is
coming from a new a brand newreport published by New York City based think
tank Commonwealth Fund, comparing the maternalmortality rate in the US to similar nations

the least safe place in the developedworld to have a baby. Now.
I granted there are many excellent andvery well trained obstetricians in the United States,

but there is a large contingent ofthem who are not and do things
they ought to do. And thereare a lot of unnecessary procedures that are
going on, either the under theoffices of defensive medicine or under the offices
of chit ching making more money ona case. So you may have believed
(04:30):
from the past that America was thesafest place to have a baby, not
so much, in fact, justthe opposite of that. The US had
a maternal mortality or death rate therate of women who died while pregnant or
(04:51):
in the moments or weeks after givingbirth of twenty two deaths per one hundred
thousand and now this is about ayear and a half ago, which is
the latest statistics in tracking numbers.This was the highest rate. Get this,
This was the highest rate out offourteen high income nations in Europe,

Asia, South America, Australia.The list goes on and on that we're
studied for this report. It meansAmerican women are nine times more likely to
die during or shortly after pregnancy comparedto those in Sweden, and four times
more likely to die than British women. And yet people believe, people believe
(05:41):
the lie in we've got the besthealthcare system in the world. No way,
not even close. The report alsofound that the US has the second
lowest number of midwives and obgyns perlive birth among high income nations, which
may be contributing to the country's highmaternal mortality rates. Of course, opgyns
(06:09):
and conventional medicine, as in theAMA and the other political action committees do
everything they can to dissuade midwiffery andhome births and nurses assisting with births,
and do laws and others certified healthprofessionals to make sure the mother has our
needs met and has the type ofbirth that she or her husband wants.

Up to a third of roles arecurrently unfilled, according to the estimates.
The researchers point out that the USis the only country out of the group
of nations that did not mandate anyform of paid maternity leave for pregnant women,
which may explain the high rate ofsuicides among new moms here in the

US. Now, I doubt itwas related to maternity leave as much as
the trauma, drugging and loss ofbabies of women during the birth process,
which treated the birth process and doestreat the birth process here in the US
as a disease process that ends atabout nine months. America was also the
(07:26):
only one not to have universal healthcarecoverage, with an estimated eleven or rather
eight million women or twelve percent ofthose of reproductive age uninsured. The report
analyzed the maternal mortality rate, whichis defined as deaths among women during pregnancy,
(07:47):
childbirth, or up to forty twodays after giving birth. All deaths
were linked to pregnancy in some manneror another. The US had the worst
rate in the group overall, followedby Chile, and the other end of
(08:09):
the scale was Norway. In secondplace was Switzerland. Australia ranked sixth place.
I mean, how did these othercountries that spend less do it better
than we do here in the US. What is wrong with it? This
(08:31):
is not something that just cropped upon the radar screen, and this has
been going on for a long time. I faced this with my own family,
my first daughter, my first childborn. It was a train wreck.
I was in college at the time. Of course I didn't know any
better, but it was a trainwreck. And from that point forward I
(08:52):
was on high alert of the obstetricalpractices in the US and took charge of
this situation with husband coach childbirth andalso having children at home in our bed.
Now, I'm not suggesting that foreveryone. Of course, you need
to be understanding how to do thisand have some level of understanding in it.

You need to have somebody that's verylearned, like a dou la or
a home birth expert nurse, maybeeven with a phone call away from an
obscentrician on the other end, justin case. But I mean, think
about that for a moment. Ifyou're going to have a baby in the
United States based on this report,you better call your travel agent you get

to another country, because there areinherent risks, high risks associated with having
babies in America, even though manymothers, young unsuspecting mothers and fathers are
completely unaware of the high risk rateshere in America. So I know,

I'll leave you with that. Countriesincluded in this report were Australia, Canada,
France, Germany, the Netherlands,New Zealand, Norway, Sweden,
Switzerland, the United Kingdom. Allof them outperformed the United States in terms
of death rates of babies and moreand most likely injuries as well. It

wasn't reported, but you can justimagine that it's it's also baked into the
cake here. Wow. So it'ssomething to give some thought to. And
as I said, there are fineobstetricians out there doing a good job.
But I'll tell you what, there'sa number, a contingent percentage of them

Maybe please start off with a briefoverview, sir, of what nitric oxide
is and its genesis. Well,nitric oxide is is a naturally produced molecule,
and it's a signaling molecule, andit regulates blood flow and oxygen delivery.
It mobilizes stem fills, helps ourbody to repair and replace dysfunctional fills.

So it's part of the healing process. It's produced in our neurons in

tank Commonwealth Fund, comparing the maternalmortality rate in the US to similar nations

I granted there are many excellent andvery well trained obstetricians in the United States,

but there is a large contingent ofthem who are not and do things
they ought to do. And thereare a lot of unnecessary procedures that are
going on, either the under theoffices of defensive medicine or under the offices
of chit ching making more money ona case. So you may have believed
(04:30):
from the past that America was thesafest place to have a baby, not
so much, in fact, justthe opposite of that. The US had
a maternal mortality or death rate therate of women who died while pregnant or
(04:51):
in the moments or weeks after givingbirth of twenty two deaths per one hundred
thousand and now this is about ayear and a half ago, which is
the latest statistics in tracking numbers.This was the highest rate. Get this,
This was the highest rate out offourteen high income nations in Europe,
(05:15):
Asia, South America, Australia.The list goes on and on that we're
studied for this report. It meansAmerican women are nine times more likely to
die during or shortly after pregnancy comparedto those in Sweden, and four times
more likely to die than British women. And yet people believe, people believe
(05:41):
the lie in we've got the besthealthcare system in the world. No way,
not even close. The report alsofound that the US has the second
lowest number of midwives and obgyns perlive birth among high income nations, which
may be contributing to the country's highmaternal mortality rates. Of course, opgyns
(06:09):
and conventional medicine, as in theAMA and the other political action committees do
everything they can to dissuade midwiffery andhome births and nurses assisting with births,
and do laws and others certified healthprofessionals to make sure the mother has our
needs met and has the type ofbirth that she or her husband wants.

Up to a third of roles arecurrently unfilled, according to the estimates.
The researchers point out that the USis the only country out of the group
of nations that did not mandate anyform of paid maternity leave for pregnant women,
which may explain the high rate ofsuicides among new moms here in the

US. Now, I doubt itwas related to maternity leave as much as
the trauma, drugging and loss ofbabies of women during the birth process,
which treated the birth process and doestreat the birth process here in the US
as a disease process that ends atabout nine months. America was also the
(07:26):
only one not to have universal healthcarecoverage, with an estimated eleven or rather
eight million women or twelve percent ofthose of reproductive age uninsured. The report
analyzed the maternal mortality rate, whichis defined as deaths among women during pregnancy,
(07:47):
childbirth, or up to forty twodays after giving birth. All deaths
were linked to pregnancy in some manneror another. The US had the worst
rate in the group overall, followedby Chile, and the other end of
(08:09):
the scale was Norway. In secondplace was Switzerland. Australia ranked sixth place.
I mean, how did these othercountries that spend less do it better
than we do here in the US. What is wrong with it? This
(08:31):
is not something that just cropped upon the radar screen, and this has
been going on for a long time. I faced this with my own family,
my first daughter, my first childborn. It was a train wreck.
I was in college at the time. Of course I didn't know any
better, but it was a trainwreck. And from that point forward I
(08:52):
was on high alert of the obstetricalpractices in the US and took charge of
this situation with husband coach childbirth andalso having children at home in our bed.
Now, I'm not suggesting that foreveryone. Of course, you need
to be understanding how to do thisand have some level of understanding in it.

You need to have somebody that's verylearned, like a dou la or
a home birth expert nurse, maybeeven with a phone call away from an
obscentrician on the other end, justin case. But I mean, think
about that for a moment. Ifyou're going to have a baby in the
United States based on this report,you better call your travel agent you get

to another country, because there areinherent risks, high risks associated with having
babies in America, even though manymothers, young unsuspecting mothers and fathers are
completely unaware of the high risk rateshere in America. So I know,

I'll leave you with that. Countriesincluded in this report were Australia, Canada,
France, Germany, the Netherlands,New Zealand, Norway, Sweden,
Switzerland, the United Kingdom. Allof them outperformed the United States in terms
of death rates of babies and moreand most likely injuries as well. It

as I said, there are fineobstetricians out there doing a good job.
