(00:52):

eight twenty two. It's the Doctor Bob Martin.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Well, your body didn't come with an owner's manual, so
we provide the Doctor Bob Martin Show. Let us be
your designated driver on the Highway to health. And when
I say we, I mean doctor Adam Brockman and myself
and Doctor Brockman will be by a little bit later
in the show, join us with some very important health
related news, and we'll take your phone calls and answer

(01:23):
your questions on the air. I mean, face it, folks,
unlike the government, we really are here to help you
out with your health because if you wear out your body,
where are you going to live? We have an exciting
show for you today, so stick around for the entirety
of the program. We're going to be enjoined by a
special guest coming up. Tell you about that in a

(01:43):
little bit. But starting off with a question, marijuana is
more common today. More and more people are smoking marijuana,
not only medicinally, but a lot of recreational usage. Many
states have, of course, legalized marijuana, and a lot of
people consider marijuana to be totally safe for the cardiovascular system,

(02:08):
your heart well. According to doctor Robert Klanner, director of
cardiovascular research at Huntington Medical Research Institute in Pasadena, California,
he's saying marijuana is bad, bad to the bone, bad
to the lung, bad to the tissues. In fact, he

(02:29):
was commenting on a study that was published in the
Journal of the American Medical Association Cardiology, claiming new findings
about marijuana Cannabis Gounge counter the so called common beliefs
about the health impacts of marijuana. In fact, some people

(02:52):
who use weed really think it's health food breathing it
in they do. So we're going to smoke out this
topic a little bit today so that if you are
a marijuana user or you know somebody who is, this
might be of great interest to you, so stick around
for that. We'll be joined by pharmacist Jim Laval to

(03:16):
talk about it and also discuss because a lot of
people who smoke marijuana do it because it lowers their
level of stress. I hear that a lot from people
who smoke wheat or use it in some fashion. We're
going to have for you coming up this hour, drug
free stress relief and mood support so you don't have

(03:38):
to suck on that doobie. Okay, let's begin. Let's talk
about smoking and vaping cannabis, because some people prefer to
vape it, some people smoke it, some people it's edible,
and some people wherever they can get the THC they
get it they want to feel like in that chill zone.

(04:01):
But we now know, based on these studies that are
finally coming out that being exposed to marijuana is linked
to impaired blood vessel dilation, possibly through separate mechanisms that
are still yet to be understood. Cannabis also known as

(04:22):
marijuana and THC edibles might both affect blood vessel function,
but in different ways. Because some people think, well, I'm
not going to smoke it. I smoking cannabis, Maybe that's unhealthy,
edibles are in the same category. According to this latest
study out, and because eating cannabis infused brownies or whatever

(04:44):
it is that people are doing or gummies does not
involve inhaling smoke, it may be tempting to think that
the edibles are relatively harmless in order to get the
high that people are after, or to get into that
a chill zone they're looking for because they're all stressed out.
It takes care of their anxiety, their depression. However, the

(05:07):
new research suggests that, similar to smoking cannabis, consuming these
edibles containing the compound THCHC may worsen, worsen, or make
worse heart problems cardiovascular health over time. The study found
that chronic smokers of marijuana have poorly functioning blood vessels,

(05:27):
similar to chronic smokers of tobacco that According to Matt Springer,
a cardiovascular researcher at the University of California, San Francisco
whose lab led the new study, THCHC edibles also appear
to be associated with this problem. Let me repeat that,
because there are a lot of people who are, you know,
consuming the edibles now thinking well, smoke is bad, so

(05:50):
I just won't smoke it. I'll eat it. That'll get
me there. Yeah, it'll get you there, Hi, surely. But
it'll also be associated with the blood vessel problem they're
talking about that may sabotage your heart. Why go there now?
This study was published recently, as they said, in the
Journal of the American Cardiology, countering so many of these

(06:12):
closely held beliefs of people who constantly justify using marijuana
as though it is a health food, like it's an
herb yes, but is it healthy No? And so the
question becomes, what do you do? What do you do
to decrease your stress and the anxiety or whatever it

(06:35):
is it's chasing you or forcing you in your mind
to try to obtain relief through THC, the active psychoactive
ingredient that so many people are believing they should be
doing on a regular basis. I mean, it's really hard

(06:57):
to go anywhere these days without smelling skunk, and it
really annoys me. You're on vacation, you're on the beach,
you're chilling out, the oceans in front of you, sunlight
is going on, people are having fun, and suddenly the skunk.
The skunk is wafting through the air and finding the
end of my nose, and I don't like it. To

(07:21):
better understand how cannabis affects the cardiovascular system, researchers recruited
adults participants who fell into three categories cannabis smokers, thc
edible users, and cannabis non smokers, and to isolate the
effects of the habitual cannabis smoking or edible use. The
study focused on cannabis or marijuana users who reported using

(07:46):
the drug at least three times a week exclusively through
their preferred method, and some people use it on the
weekends only other people notice that they the more they
use it, the more they need it, and they become chronic.
To gauge each tipant's vascular function, the authors temporarily block
blood flow to the brachial artery located in the upper arm,
with an inflatable forearm cuff. They use ultrasound imaging to

(08:10):
measure the arteries diameter before and after releasing their pressure,
and this measure, by the way, is reflected as a
percentage of the diameter change from the baseline measurement. Doctor
Matt Springer said this test offers a window into the
future because if blood vessels cannot dilate properly in response

(08:32):
to increased blood flow, that's linked to higher risk of
cardiovascular disease or heart disease outcomes such as heart attacks.
And among the participants, listen to this, now, this is
the payoff here. Marijuana smokers out there where you know
somebody who does what you care about, listen up. Among
the participants who did not consume marijuana or cannabis, the

(08:56):
researchers measured the average blood dilation of ten point four percent. Now,
by comparison, the marijuana smokers and the edible THC consumers
users had an average dilation of just barely six percent

(09:18):
and four point six percent, respectively. So we're talking about
half or less than half the amount of vasodilation, the
amount of blood supply that your body is being fed
as a result of the drug THC and all the
other components that were still studying, shutting down the blood

(09:40):
flow into the body around the body. This decrease in
dilation is similar to what researchers observed in an earlier
study of chronic tobacco smokers. So if you think that
you're getting away with something by smoking marijuana and not tobacco,
not so much. You're in the same category. The more
people used, as defined by the number of smoking sessions

(10:06):
or milligrams of THC consumed via animals per week, the
more dramatic their impairment in dilation was. Now, we haven't
even touched the surface of the psychosis that's associated with
being high on THC or marijuana. We haven't. That is

(10:28):
a ton of stuff. But I want you to know
there's good news. You don't have to smoke marijuana or
vape it or eat it to chill to get back
to feeling good again. We're going to be joined by
a pharmacist who's going to tell us how we can,
in a drug free way, relieve stress and support a

(10:51):
healthy mood. So stand by you're tuned into the Doctor
Bob Martin Show. I'll need a miracle, will man all right?
Welcome or welcome back to this hour the Doctor Bob

(11:13):
Martin Show. Thank you so very much for tuning into
the program today. I want to remind you we have
a nationwide toll free number that you have access to
should you want to ask a health related question about
yourself or somebody in your life that needs health advice,
or if you just want to make a comment about

(11:35):
something you've heard here on the show or a health
related comment, you can do that also on the Doctor
Bob Martin Show caller hotline phone number. Shot this down
for safekeeping. You never know when you're gonna need it.
That number eight hundred six zero six eight eight two two.
Eight hundred six zero six eight eight two two. And remember,
the only bad health question is the one you're not asking,

(11:58):
So call and ask that question of both myself and
doctor Adam Brockman, who will be by a little bit
later in the program to join us to help me
in answering questions one eight hundred six zero six eighty
eight twenty two. And you can also drop off a
email over on my website at doctor Bob dot com.

(12:20):
There you'll need to spell out the word doctor doctor
Bob dot com. All right on the heels of the
last conversation we just had regarding marijuana being bad for
your heart. Even though a lot of people who use marijuana,
either in a vaping manner or smoking it or using edibles,
some of them are absolutely convinced in their minds that

(12:44):
it's health food. It's an herb that is so good
and so healthful. That's why they do it, and that's
how they justify it. But little do they know there
are a gamut of problems that can be associated with
consuming it in any manner, at smoke or edibles. And
on the heels of that, I thought, geez, I'm gonna

(13:04):
leave a lot of marijuana smokers and or family members
of marijuana smokers sort of twisting in the wind. And
I don't like that. I like to present a problem
and then offer up a solution, and I couldn't think
of a better person to offer that up. Then my
good friend Jim Leaval, who is a clinical pharmacist, Yes,

(13:25):
a pharmacist and author of more than twenty six books.
I wonder what he does at his spare time, but
he is a board certified clinical nutritionist and health expert.
Jim was named one of the fifty most influential Pharmacists
by American Druggist Magazine. Additionally, Jim is an adjunct faculty

(13:50):
for the Master's Integrated Medicine program at George Washington School
of Medicine in Health Science is actually that's the I
remember my immunology teacher was from that school, and as
the clinical co chair of the American Academy of Anti
Aging Medicine, he has trained thousands and thousands of healthcare

(14:13):
professionals just like me on the value of integrative health
related programs. And if you want to learn more about
Jim Leval's leading edge work within the healthcare arena, by
all means do so, log onto his website at metaboliccode
dot com. That's metaboliccode dot com. Jim is here to

(14:37):
share what we can do to help with strass relief
and elevated mood support, especially during these unprecedented times that
we are in. Jim levelle welcome back to the program,
my friend, Oh doctor Bob.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Always great to be on your show.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Well, these are couple of times. I mean, you look
in any direction, you're going to see people who are stressed,
be it you know, wondering about the future of our nation,
the economy, finances, crime, violence, social divisiveness, health care, personal safety,
political turmoil. We're going to be dragged into the war
over in Iraq and Iran and Israel. What's gonna happen here?

(15:20):
So people, of course, when that happens and they start
feeling their blood pressure going up, or feeling stressed or
not sleeping or you know, just losing it, generally, they
turn to substances which are not good for them. They
turn to alcohol, they turned to tobacco, they turned to marijuana
or other and illicit drugs to get relief. And so

(15:40):
I thought we'd bring you on the program to date
doctor Levelle, to talk about stress relief and mood support
from a drug free perspective. Now, some people might be
saying to themselves, wait a minute, he's a pharmacist. Well,
what qualifies him to be talking about drug free things.
Well let him explain that. But let's begin with thank

(16:03):
you for joining us, and let's just throw it out here.
You know, people are looking for stress relief, they're looking
for that sense of relaxation and ways to elevate their mood.
I'll just let you take it from their Jim.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
Yeah, you know, I think a lot of people they
don't appreciate, well, why am I feeling stressed? Right? So,
the first thing to understand is that your body produces
a hormone cortisol. Court is all supposed to get pumped
up in the morning and then drop again at noon,
and drop again at five o'clock and go to nothing
at bedtime when you're supposed to release militona and have

(16:40):
a great seven to nine hours of RESTful and restorative sleep.
Forty percent of Americans will have trouble sleeping this year alone.
And then when you ask people in general, they're feeling
over committed, They're feeling too much stress, too much is
on their plate in the course of the day. And
then to your point, doctor, I mean all the environmental

(17:03):
inputs that happen from what's company in the news, in
your community, within your family. There's a lot that goes on.
And the issue becomes when you start to make too
much stress hormone cortisol all throughout your day. That starts
a big cascade of problems. So when people think of stress,
they go, well, I'm not nervous, but they may be

(17:26):
gaining weight, their lipid profile may start to change, their
blood pressure starts to go up, their resting heart rates
starts to go up. All of those things are intended
to take you out earlier then have a good, long
lived life that is healthy. And so it's incredibly important

(17:47):
for people to understand the impact of stress and look culturally,
as you know, doctor Bob, since the beginning of medicine
was written down in traditional cult adaptogens or the herbs
that help people with stress were the most valuable orbs
in every culture and our society we run until we break,

(18:09):
and we give them xanax and prozac right aidepressants and
anti anxiety drugs. What we need to do is get
more proactive.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Well, I think do you think that because of stress
being so subtle and because we are constantly trying to adapt,
that it almost becomes we become numb to it. We
don't feel those triggers, those sensations which really should light
us up, like the idiot light on the dashboard of
our cars, and we just sort of say, well, okay,

(18:42):
I feel a little nervous right now, but it'll pass,
or we utter the five dangerous words, maybe it will
go away, and it doesn't, and it just keeps rolling.
And I think people at that point they disregard some
of those signals, and I think that compounds. It does
it not.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Absolutely compounds. And it's like that old story of a
frog band putting boiling water, right, Yeah, you know, you
don't realize it until the stress kind of sends you
over the top. And now all of a sudden you're
craving foods and you don't understand that you're you know,
why am I gaining weight? Why am I having trouble sleeping?

(19:22):
Nobody kind of attaches sleep with having too much stress
during the course of your day, and that's really insomnia
is a disorder of hyper arousal of the HPA access,
which is basically your brain takes on too much stress,
it can't turn it off at night, and now you're
not making the hormones and signaling compounds that helps your

(19:45):
body to repair. And so it's so important for people
to think about what am I doing for a lifestyle
that's going to manage that stress response, because you're going
to have stress. But dietary supplements are incredibly important to
like lifestyle showing changes are incredibly important. So true.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Our special guest, Ladies and Gentlemen is clinical pharmacist Jim
Laval author of twenty six books. He's one of my
postgraduate instructors in clinical nutrition. We're happy to have him
here because we are living in troubled times and people
are stressed out and they are moving into things that
are not healthful by accessing more alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, which

(20:33):
we talked about in the first segment, and a lot
of illicit and illicit drugs. Please have something to write with,
because we're going to tell you how to safely, naturally
drug free relieve stress and improve your mood so that
you feel function and perform better. We'll be right back
with our guest Jim Leval. You're tuned into the Doctor

(20:56):
Bob Martin Show. Anybody's called fay mistakes, but everybody's got
a choice to make. Everybody needs to leave the faith heny,
healthy and happy. Welcomeer, Welcome back to this hour the
Doctor Bob Martin Show. Thank you so very much for

(21:17):
tuning into the program today. Doctor Adam Brockman, the cost
of the show and executive producer. He'll be by a
little bit later in the program. He's gonna help me
to field your health related questions that you've called in
on the Doctor Bob Martin show called her hotline phone number,
and you've sent emails through my personal website over at

(21:37):
doctor bob dot com spelling out the word doctor doctor
bob dot com for health questions. Of course, all the
health related news over there. We got the podcast library,
lots of good stuff. Check it out. He'll be by
a little bit later in the show to help us
out in that regard. Now, if you were with us
the first segment or if you were not, we talked

(21:58):
about how people are using things to reduce stress. Because
we live in stressful times right now and people are
wanting to find relief, we will naturally migrate to whatever
it takes to get relief from emotional anxiety, tension, depression,

(22:19):
and just that. Like Jim Levell just pointed out, that
hyper state that we don't like to be in, we
want to bring it down a couple notches in order
to sleep, in order to rest, in order to just
feel calmer. And so people are accessing things that are
not healthy for them because they don't know about options
that exist. Well, Jim Levell knows about a lot of

(22:42):
options that exists. So hopefully you're taking notes during this
conversation so that you can act upon what we're going
to learn from this amazing teacher and structor and clinical
pharmacist nutritionists. All right, back to the program, Jim, welcome back. Okay.
So we talked about how people are stressed and anxious

(23:05):
these days and how it's not a good idea to
use these substances because they'll break our health down even
more so than the stress itself. Just adding, you know
that another monkey on our back. What can help that? Safe,
natural and drug free.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
Yeah. So, I mean, obviously there's a couple of things
you could do lifestyle wise, right. The first piece is
is make sure you don't isolate yourself. The more stressed
out to get talk to your friends, talk to family,
seek out therapy if you need it. Take a walk
super good. I mean obviously walking, strength training, do anything
you can, but walking in particular releases positive endorphins. You know,

(23:44):
you'll build your serotonin pool. Moderate exercise, and you know,
I always tell people, you know, we get stuck in
sympathetic tone. It's pretty bad when our watches have to
tell us when it's time to take a deep breath.
So you got to try and work out breathing deep.
And so I like people to up three times a
day and do a breathing exercise for three or four minutes,
just four seconds in exhale, you know, a whole four

(24:06):
seconds exhale four seconds, whole four seconds. That's called box breathing,
and that really helps people to unload their sympathetic stress
drop their diaphragm. And then the big one is of
course supplementation, and there's some really good supplements center out
there that can help people with stress. One of the

(24:28):
big ones that have been research is a particular form
of ashwa ganda was known as Ashwagandha KSM sixty six.
It's a particular highly concentrated a gandha as ganda. It's
an adaptagen, meaning it's been used in traditional cultures, especially

(24:48):
an area of medicine, for thousands of years to help
people cope with stress. And there's studies that show that
ashwa gandha is going to help reduce your feeling of stress,
your feeling of anxiousness, and also the fatigue that comes
with feeling stress and anxious. And the other piece that

(25:08):
a lot of people don't realize is when you make
a lot of stress hormones, your sex hormones go down
and so helping to protect that secondary sex hormone axis
is incredibly important because you know, it's those things happen
and our self esteem goes down that kind of feeds
into the feeling of anxiousness and feeling depressed. And so

(25:30):
there's some great science on KSM sixty six that's in.
I know, it's one of your favorite companies, Kyolic, who
makes an incredible age garlic extract, but they have created
Chiolic home Mood, which it's a terrific formula. You know,
having a full clinical dose of you know, the KSM

(25:55):
sixty six that is the key, that's the centerpiece to
the helps reduce sleeplessness, helps with blood pressure, helps with
immune support because when you get stressed out, you lose
your natural killer cell and ke killer cell production. And
so I think it's one of the really elevated products

(26:15):
that are out there because a lot of people don't realize,
you know, even the fact that hey, I'm feeling foggy headed, now,
why do I feel like I'm pushing a doctor jello?
A lot of times that's because stress hormones have triggered
neural inflammation in your brain and that leads to memory
loss over time and so a big fan of Ashla

(26:37):
Ganda and of course other adaptogens that are out there,
but Ashla Ganda kN sixty six has got great studies
behind it.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
Our special guest is Jim Levell. He is a clinical pharmacist,
Ford certified Clinical Nutritionists, author of twenty six plus books.
He's here with us today helping us to understand that
we have the power to calm ourselves down in so
many ways if we can just learn what they are

(27:09):
and put them into action. And he mentioned some actionable
points momentarily there a little while ago about exercise and
doing things. But it's so simple when you have the
ability to access what is in nature that can calm
us down, take us out of that space and tell
we can better learn what it is that's stressing us

(27:30):
out and then adapt from there and then be self sufficient.
And that of course is the supplement he mentioned, Kyolic
calm Mood. That's the one you're looking for the next
time you're in your favorite health food store. Kyolic spelled
ky o lic Kyolic calm Mood. You can also visit

(27:50):
their website to learn more about it at kyolic dot
com kyo lic dot com.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
They are the.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
Makers of the aged garlic extract, which we have oken
about on this radio show many many times. You can
also follow Kyolic on Facebook at Kyo Life and Instagram
at the Kyo Life. Jim. It is so great to
hear your voice here today. I was reading something the

(28:17):
other day and it said that the US represents four
point four percent of the world's population, but we consume
fifty two percent of the world's prescribed pharmaceutical drugs and medications.
And I'm saying to myself, this math doesn't make sense
to me.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
Oh, absolutely, and that's because we don't do preventive practices
very well, right, And yeah, I want to point out
on that kyhoric product, it's you know, it also has
one hundred and fifty milligrams of magnesium innute, which magnesium
is great for calming the nervous system down be six,
which helps you make more serotone than openmine. And then
also has a little bit of feeling in it which

(29:01):
blocks glutamate, which is the excitatory neurochemical that kind of
gets your brain in that buzz or that oh my god,
I didn't get my list done state. And so it's
really a very solid innovative formula people should be taking,
especially during those stressful days in time. So regular use
is really great, and people just need to try to

(29:26):
manage their stress before it gets so significant that they
need the medication, because those medications aren't easy to get
off off you put on them.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
There's issues exactly, exactly, all right, We're going to return
to this conversation, Ladies and Villen stress relief and mood support,
kyolic calm mood, that's what we're talking about. We'll be
back with our special guests, clinical pharmacist James Levell. Stay tuned.
You're tuned into the Doctor Bob Margin.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
So I'm a bust of number Simoncible.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
They have one ever single minds a lover.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
I don't. I'm most able today.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
Well, you happen to be tuned into the largest radio
house talk show in America if are not, and we
thank you for that because in large part you're responsible
for that. In fact, many of our listeners who tune
in tell other people each and every week by referring
them to the program. The best way to do that
is listen to the radio station you're listening to write

(30:58):
down the call letters of the station, the frequency on
the dial, whether it's an amor FM station and the
time of the day, and pass on on to as
many people as you care about that you believe if
they tune into this program, they'll hear something that could
benefit their most precious possession, their health. Because with your
health you have all your wealth. Without it, you pretty

(31:20):
much broke your bankrupt. We don't want you to be bankrupt.
We want you to be a quads allionaire. That's health.
With it, you have everything you need. Really seriously, and
to bring that message home to us and how we
can improve our health. We have with this clinical pharmacist
Jim Levell. He's also a board certified clinical nutritionists and

(31:44):
author of over twenty six books. We're talking about stress,
we're talking about mood support, drug free. There are many
ways you can go about helping yourself, and you should
access all of them, but there's certainly a passive way
for people who are wanting to get to it quickly,

(32:04):
and that's to walk into any health food store worth
its salt and ask for coyolic calm mood. Coyolic calm
mood a formulation that has been science based, tried and tested,
and is helping a lot of people with their stress,

(32:25):
so they don't have to access things that are risky alcohol, tobacco, marijuana,
illicit and licit drugs. We're not telling you to get
off your liicit drugs or to stop anything that you're taking.
Your calm me down pills, your antidepressants, you're anti anxiety.

(32:47):
We're not telling you to do that. We don't do
that on this radio show. But I think a lot
of people recognize and correct me if I'm wrong here,
Jim Leval. They recognize that every single time they take
a pharmaceutical drugs there's at least lots of potential adverse
side effects that they should be concerned about over time.

(33:09):
Now from your vantage point as a pharmacist, am I
off Basere.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
No, you're right on. I mean that's what Bob, you
and I have dedicated our lives given people stayer first options.
And I think one of the biggest issues, I mean,
what just comes with responsibility. You got to own that stress. Right,
You've got to realize, oh, my blood pressure is starting
to go up, I'm not sleeping as well, I'm looking
for those cookies in the evening. That's a big stress

(33:37):
that's taking you over, right, It's important that people own that,
and then what do you do in order to protect yourself?
Because here's the thing, a lot of people don't realize
when you flatten your cortisol curve, So when you make
your stress hormones overproduce all day long, you know, because

(33:59):
you get a text that makes you upset, or an email,
or you get a new project thrown on your plate,
or maybe you're in charge of a bunch of people,
the responsibility of it, where there's trouble at home, whatever
it is. When you flatten your cortisol curve, you're at
a three hundred and thirty three percent increased risk of

(34:22):
cardio metabolic disease, so heart disease, blood sugar issues, neurodegenerative disorders,
so problems like dementia, Parkinson's, those type of issues, in
addition to moot disorders. That's a massive, massive risk that

(34:45):
people were taken on. And I don't think anybody really
explains that to them, that hey, this isn't just a
matter of hey, i'll drink a cold beer at and
either have a glass of wine that's going to help
me go to sleep. It's not that simple. And in fact,
when you do that and reach for drugs or reach
for you know, alcohol. We know what disrupts your sleep pattern.

(35:10):
In fact, you don't get as good as sleep. And
one of the biggest things you can do to protect
your brain is get a good night's sleep, flush out
through the glymphatic system, the gliolymphatic system, all the byproducts
of your metabolism of your brain for the day. When
when you don't sleep well, a lot of times that's

(35:30):
due to stress or you don't exercise, that doesn't happen.
And so you know, the whole process of people should
be taking in this modern world. And you said it's
so good in the introduction. People should be on something
like Kyolic came Mood daily just to handle the fact that, hey,

(35:51):
I think I'm under a lot more stress than I
was a few years ago.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
Yeah, they integrate that with what you mentioned, the walking,
the eating well, getting out of doors, getting some sunlight,
learning how to de stress, maybe take a yoga class
or meditate. I mean, you got to go full circle
on it, folks. So you do your job out there
in your lifestyle to get to that place where your

(36:17):
body is going to be in that calm zone and
you are in control rather than something else controlling you
and use the kyolic call mood as a tool by
which to maybe extricate you from the stress that you're
under right now, safely and naturally drug free without any
side effects whatsoever. When we come back from this break, Jim,
I want to have you just address briefly. And I

(36:40):
noticed whenever somebody attacks Ashwagwanda or any other herb, it
must be working in the pharmaceutical industry, because recently I
saw some junk on that and also the other ingredient
that's in kyolic call mood as well. We'll have that
after this break. Stay with us. You're tuned into the

this will be in the podcast library as of maybe
a day two from now, so go over to doctor

(38:37):
Bob dot com to hear that, or refer your friends
to it. Now, Jim. I noticed not long ago there
was some information in the news about Ashwa Gwanda, and
whenever I see somebody doing a hit piece on oshaguana,
somebody saying, wow, you gotta be careful with those herbs.
They don't have any science behind and they're not regulated.
I know that it's having an impact, and the pharmaceutical

(38:57):
companies are ginning up all the negativity to try to
dissuade people from doing it because they know it works.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
What do you say, Well, that's exactly right. And when
you look at it, there's some great studies on ash
forra Ganda. There is one of you know, four hundred
and ninety one adults either taking ash for Ganda or
placebo for six weeks, and what it found was is
that their stress and anxiety levels went down significantly. That
reduced their sleeplessness, reduced their fatigue, and their cortisol levels

(39:24):
came down. And remember when we were on the last section,
I was talking about cortisol. You don't advantage that cortisol.
There's a lot of chronic conditions that are coming your way.
And there was another study that showed you know, you know,
at seventy six percent drop in physical symptoms of stress
and sixty nine percent drop in reduction of stress related insomnia,

(39:46):
sixty eight percent, less social dysfunction, seventy nine percent improvement
and depression. I mean, come on, these are all very important.
But you think about it, that's a lot of medications
going away.
