(02:08):
or you're just looking to feel your best, the solutions

choices that you make today in what you eat and
how you move, and how you take care of your
mind and your body. So again, thanks for tuning in
and remember, your health is in your hands. So let's
make it camp. So, ladies and gentlemen, first up today,

(02:31):
I want to dive into a topic that is often overlooked,
or maybe it's not ever been brought to your attention.
That's the shocking connection between your oral health and your
risk of stroke. And if you ever thought that brushing
and flossing they were just trying to keep your dentist
at bay, keep your dentist happy, prepare to have that

(02:56):
flipped upside down. It says a groundbreaking study that was
published in Neurology Open Access, and it followed nearly six
thousand adults for over two decades, and it uncovered a
jaw dropping statistic that people with both gum disease and
cavities have an eighty six percent higher risk of stroke. So, folks,

(03:16):
that's not just a number. It should be a wake
up call. Your mouth isn't just a gateway for food.
It's a gateway for systemic health and the issues that
they can actually devastate your brain. But before you panic,
let's go ahead and try to break this down. How
does something as seemingly harmless as gum disease lead to

(03:40):
something as catastrophic as a stroke. The answer lies in inflammation,
and that's a silent killer that connects your gums to
your brain. So here's the science on this. When you
neglect your oral health, harmful bacteria thrive in your mouth,
causing gum disease in cavities. Now these the bacteria, they

(04:04):
don't stay confined just to your gums. Instead, they enter
your bloodstream through this the inflamed gum tissue, and it
triggers a cascade of systemic inflammation. This inflammation, it damages
the lining of your blood vessels. It makes them more
prone to plaque build up in even clots. So when

(04:25):
these clots they travel to your brain, they can block
blood flow, causing some known as a schemic stroke, and
that's the most common type of stroke worldwide. The study
also found that stroke rates they skyrocket among participants as
their oral health declines. Only four percent of people with

(04:46):
healthy gums suffered a stroke, but that number jumped to
two times for those with gum disease and sart to
three times for those battling gum both gum disease and cavities.
So that's a direct dose related response that should be
impossible for us to ignore. But the damage doesn't stop there.

(05:09):
The research team also conducted MRI scans and found something
even more alarming, that adults with gum disease were fifty
six percent more likely to have higher volumes of this
white matter hyper intensities. These tiny bright spots on the
scan that indicated microscopic brain damage. These were lesions that

(05:31):
were associated with memory loss, balance issues, in slower thinking,
long before these full blown stroke risk occurs. In other words,
your inflamed gums aren't just increasing your stroke risk, they're
quietly eroding your brain's function over time. So the study

(05:53):
it's not just about strokes. It's part of this growing
body of evidence that links oral health to other serious
conditions like diabetes, Alzheimer's, and even heart problems. The mouth
its vulnerable entry point for pathogens. In The bacteria that

(06:13):
causes gum disease has been found in autopsies from your
head to your toes. A doctor Allison Wilson, a dentist
that was not involved in the study, explains it perfectly.
She says, the gums are rich with tiny blood vessels,
making it easy for microbes to spread. They found oral

(06:35):
bacteria all over again head to toe during autopsies. So
this bacteria gets around, it goes throughout your whole entire body.
But if you want a silver lining, the risk factor
is largely within your control. The same study found that
people who received regular professional dental care had eighty one

(06:56):
percent lower chance of having both gum disease and cavity.
And that's a staggering reduction in the risk and it's
achievable with simple, proactive steps. So what can you do
to protect your brain through your mouth. Let's break it
down with a comprehensive prevention plan. It's very simple to follow.

(07:18):
Of course, the dynamic duo is brushing and flossing. And
if you want to take a step further, studies show
that electric toothbrushes can remove about a fifth more plaque
than manual the toothbrushes, and not just to floss, but
to make it a daily habit. If you're looking for

(07:39):
secret weapons like supplements, real easy to take one is
coenzyme Q ten. It's an anoxidant that repairs gum tissue
at the cellular level. And as far as professional care goes,
if you have gum inflammation, maybe not wait six months
in between cleanings, maybe shoot from more quarterly cleanings, even

(08:01):
if your insurance doesn't cover that. And if you've got
existing paradontal issues, there's something known as laser gum therapy.
It's a mentally evasive treatment that can work wonders. So folks,
as far as this goes, the uncomfortable truth is most Dennis,
they spot gum disease years before strokes happen, but our

(08:24):
sick care system waits for the disaster to strike. So
today I'm challenging every listener to take control of your
oral health book that delayed cleaning. And also we're going
to be joined in just a moment by the CEO
of Spray Dental Defense System, and that's something that we
talk about often on the show. It's xylotol based and

(08:46):
I have a great way to make it easy and
affordable at home to use their toothpaste, their mouth rints,
their gums and their mints. And also, because if we're
talking about this battle between their toothbrush in the brain deterioration,
we need to really think of this as a preventative

(09:07):
type of measure. There's a connection here between that oral
health and the stroke risk, and it's urgent and it's
often overlooked. So the study that was published in followed
that six thousand adults for nearly two decades. It revealed
that individuals with both gum disease and cavities have that

(09:27):
eighty six percent higher risk a stroke. It's alarming statistic
and it underscores that link between oral health and systemic
health issues, including the inflammation in the stroke and the
acts that silent killer between gum disease in the brain.
So again, folks, when oral health is neglected, that harmful

(09:50):
bacteria thrives, causing that gum disease and the cavities. This
bacteria it enters the bloodstream through this inflamed gum tissue,
it triggers systemic inflamm and that inflammation damages that blood
vessel linings, making them more prone to plaque build up
in the clots. And once that plaque build up in
the clot's form, it can block blood flow to the brain,

(10:11):
leading to that stroke. All right, folks, So the study
it highlights the importance of proactive oral care in preventing
not only strokes, but also those serious condestions like diabetes,
Alzheimer's disease, and heart problems. The mouth is a vulnerable
entry point for pathogens, and that's why I brought in
an expert in a show favorite to talk about this
more when we come back from the break. So, folks, again,

(10:35):
it's time to pause for that quick break. But don't
wander off just yet. You're want to stay tuned for

we are are joined today by Nathan Jones. He's the
CEO of clear in the Spread Dental Defense system, A
something we talk about often on the show, and Nate,

(13:12):
you you joined us when we're talking about that first
segment and how the risk of oral health, how it's
so important we need to keep that oral cavity healthy
because that's a portal of entry for many different types
of bacteria and diseases in the body, and it can
lead to serious conditions like diabetes, Alzheimer's, and heart problems.

(13:32):
But you also mentioned a recent study about about Parkinson's
disease in oral health. Can you can you expand on
that just a little bit, Nathan.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
Yeah, So there's a link between oral health and a
large range of systemic illnesses, and you just mentioned a
bunch of them, but one that they're now making the
link and they're actually showing the pathway where the strip
Utan's bacteria in your mouth, the same pactoria it's in
your mouth that creates the acid that causes tooth decay

(14:03):
when that gets into your gut. And I'm hoping I
get this right, but the bacteria, the strip utanz bacteria
in your gut actually makes some kind I'm trying to
remember what it is, but it makes an enzyme and
that actually helps make a toxin. And when that gets
into your brain, that is how Parkinson's comes about. And

(14:25):
it was in neuroscience what was it Neuroscience News, I think,
but it was in one of these journals, very well
done study, and it's actually just kind of common sense,
and it goes back to what you were saying. Our
mouth is where the vast majority of the pathogens, well,
our mouth, in our nose is where the vast majority
of the pathogens that make us sick enter, and we

(14:49):
should be doing what we can to make sure that
it's healthy so that those pathogens aren't getting in.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Yeah, and absolutely, and that's why I brought you in today.
You're the expert on oral health and also in the
nasal cavity as well, and today I really want to
focus on cavities and they're still one of America's most
common diseases. And this is despite decades of fluoride use.
Nate and clear. Of course, we want to talk about this.

(15:18):
It's calling on the FDA to recognize xylotol as an
active anti carries or anti cavity ingredient so dental professionals
and impatients can have access to this. Of course, you've
been using a lot of your products for twenty five
years now, just celebrate your twenty fifth anniversary and xylotol.
It's a safe and it's a natural compound, and it's

(15:40):
been proven to stop cavity causing bacteria and reduce tooth
decay in gum disease. So Nate, of course I want
to wait welcome you to the show, but I want
to talk about this petition a little bit more, and
can you go ahead and tell our listeners what's the
purpose of the petition what it is, And that's been
filed with the FDA.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
So what the petition is is, we're actually submitted the
ex petition. We did it in conjunction with the American
Dental Hygiene Association, and all we're really asking is that
the FDA acknowledge that there are other things out there
other than fluoride that can help prevent tooth decay. And

(16:22):
the crazy part of it is, as I'm learning all
of this stuff about the history of fluoride, and the
FDA and the American Dental Association, all these other organizations
they have known. We have known since nineteen twenty four,
so one hundred and one years, that tooth decay is
a bacterial infection in our mouth. It is a strip
mutan's bacterial infection in our mouth. Despite that, dentistry, the

(16:49):
only thing they will talk to you about to combat
tooth decay is fluoride, fluoride, fluoride, more fluoride, and when
you've got a lot of fluoride, double down on it
and try some more fluoride. And as you pointed out,
that doesn't work. The reason why it doesn't work is
because all you're doing is making your enamel more resistant
to the acids creating by the infection. You're not you're

(17:10):
not doing anything to actually address that bacterial infection. And
that's what xylotol does. And there's other things that we
know can help reduce and get rid of that bacterial infection.
You can use xylotol, you can use erythrotol, you can
use dental probiotics. There's a lot of products that have
come out. It's just for some reason, the FDA and

(17:32):
the ADA have kabash. Just put the just put the
hammer down on anything other than fluoride. Again, I want
your listeners to just sit and listen for a second
and think about this. Go down to the store, go
down to the pharmacy, go down to the grocery store,
and try to find me a single product on the
market that says it can help prevent tooth decay. If

(17:55):
it doesn't have fluoride, you won't do it. You can't
do it. They all do. But yet, we as a
as a country have literally spent hundreds and hundreds of
billions of dollars trying to find ways to prevent tooth decay.
We have found those ways. There's a wide variety of things.
But yet the FDA has not allowed anything ever to

(18:20):
be put on the market, and the ADA has not
endorsed anything ever to be put on the market if
it does not have fluoride. And that has to change.
And that's why we're filing the petition.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Okay, yeah, yeah. In the as far as xylotol, how
does that, how does that compare to to fluoride? You know,
we know the fluoride may strengthen a tooth and antel,
but it doesn't have any impact on the on the
cavity causing bacteria. So xilotol, on the other hand, it
targets that bacteria. So so how does xylotol compare to

(18:55):
fluoride nate?

Speaker 4 (18:57):
Well, according to The Conquering Girl, which is a very
well respected fluoride reduces tooth decay by about four percent
and xylotol reduces tooth decay by seventy to eighty percent,
and it does it in two different manners. I would
highly encourage that when your listeners go out and they

(19:18):
buy a toothpaste that they make sure that two things
are in there. That you have one ingredient or two
ingredients or more that are actually addressing the strepent utanz bacteria,
which that would be xylotol or erythrotol or something like that.
And then you also have compounds that are making your
enamel stronger. They're strengthening the enamel and making it more resistant.

(19:40):
That's a one two punch if you want to really
prevent tooth decay, and those would have If you want
to use fluoride, you can use fluoride. If you want
to use hydroxy appetite. It works about as good as fluoride.
If you want to use sodium or calcium trimetaphosphate. Both
of those are natural ingredients, and both of those actually
have shown to be about the thirty five percent improvement
an enamel strength, above and beyond what fluoride and hydroxy

(20:04):
appetite do, and that is actually what we use in
our product. And then these studies are not new studies.
The studies behind calcium and sodium trimetaphosphate, they actually go
back to the nineteen seventies. They were done when I
was a wee babe.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Wow, Well, that's that's impressive. And I know you've you've
talked many times on the show about the just the
number of studies that are out there. So Nate again,
can you can you sum up how how xylotol it
works to prevent cavities. I mean, there's a big difference
there between between what you said that that fluoride the

(20:39):
effectiveness of that, and what xylotol does at that seventy
eighty percent preventing cavities.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
Yeah, because xylotol actually goes after the bacteria that are
causing to decay. Fluoride just masks it xylotol if you
want to. I mean, one of the things I would
highly recommend if you, if you, if your listeners want
to do it, you can go and buy a test
and you and you spit into it and you send

(21:04):
it in and they'll tell you what bacteria you have
in your mouth. Then you start using xylotol products and
after two months, you spin in the thing and they
send it back again and they'll you'll see that the
level of Streptococus mutans in your mouth has gone down.
That does not happen with flora. And that's really why
it works better, is because you're addressing the bacterial infection.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Yeah, and so Nate Uh, We're going to get into
this more after the break. We're coming up on a
short short break here we're talking with Nate Jones, the
CEO of Clear and the makers of Sprite dental defense system.
We're talking about the effectiveness of xylotol in the petition
that has been filed with the FDA to make xylotol
as an anti carry UH on the on the label.

(21:48):
So if you want to head head over to clear
dot com. That's spelled x L E A R dot
com and find out more about this. You're listening to
the Doctor Bob Martin Show. Are you waiting for the
writing excuse?

Speaker 5 (22:04):
Are you waiting for your shoes? While waiting on the
finlay phone money?

Speaker 2 (22:26):
You in welcome back. You're listening to the Doctor Bob
Martin Show. I'm doctor Adam Baruffman, and today we're talking
with Nate Jones, the CEO of Clear, the makers of
the Spray dental defense system, something we talk about often
on the show, and the the key ingredient in Spry
is xylotol and uh in Nate. So, so the the

(22:49):
baseline of this petition is the American Dental Hygienis Association
the a d h A, in conjunction with Clear, a
leader in these exylotoal based products, as out a citizen
petition with the US Food and Drug Administration the FDA
urging the FDA to formally recognize xylotol as an approved
over the counteractive ingredient in dental hygiene products, including what

(23:14):
Spry already makes with the toothpaste, rinse's gel's mouthwashes, gum,
and even lozenges. So, Nate, again, there's studies and studies
you mentioned studies that dating back to the nineteen seventies
on xylotol's effectiveness. Can you tell our listeners again some
of some of this and why this hasn't been something

(23:35):
that the FDA hasn't recognized before.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
Now, Well, I actually have no idea why the FDA
hasn't recognized it before. I mean, I'm hoping that they
recognize it now. One of the things that I I mean,
I'm not I can't understand the FDA. Trust me, I've tried.
I think a lot of people have tried, and I
think a lot of people, you know, think that the

(23:56):
FDA is only under point of view on aceutical company
and it gets from them. Then you understand why they
haven't approved. And that's because people starting to use products
in the past and washing the education what it does.

(24:18):
Pretty soon a lot uh, you know, chronic illnesses that
are associated with with bad oral hygiene would probably start
going away. And the pharmacoop companies obviously don't want that.
But I really don't understand why the FDA has not
allowed it it. I mean, for a fluoride, whether you
like it or not, it's a natural quote unquote natural product, Okay,

(24:44):
Xylotol is also a natural product. I don't know why
the FDA has picked one over another and why they've
stuck with one. I don't understand why the American Dental
Association has not endorsed elotol, or why they haven't endorsed
dental probiotics or any of the wide variety of other
things that that work in the same manner that the

(25:04):
floor ide does. It's it's dogma at this point. It's
it's one thing. You got a one trick pony and
that's it. And and when that one trick pony doesn't
do tricks anymore, then you then you keep doubling down
on that one trick pony because that's all they have.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Mm hmm. Yeah, you're exactly right, and that's what.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
But to answer your question, I have no idea why
why it hasn't happened before now mm hmmm.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
And that's why it's so important to to have have
more citizens on board with this. Listeners. I know, I
know that many of you use use these the spread
dental defense system, as we talk about it often, I
get questions on it quite a bit. So you know, folks,
if you're wanting to to help help with this petition yourself.
You can head over to clear dot com and uh

(25:48):
look for the look for the link to to sign
that petition yourself and Nate, why is the petition so
significant for oral health? You know, you mentioned, you mentioned
again it's one trick pony with fluorides. So how can
we bring light to this and get this petition through?

Speaker 4 (26:07):
Well, anybody that goes and signs onto it and reads
through it, you'll get a good education of how's alotol is,
how safe it is, how it's been used for literally millennia,
thousands of years. They actually have traces of people ten
thousand years ago that would chew on the sap from
birch trees and mastic gum which if you speak Spanish,

(26:29):
mastic gum masty cars is where that word comes from.
But they have ten thousand years of people using it
and so it should actually be used. But the other
part of it is is what we're trying to do
and why I think this is a benefit to everybody,
not just Clear, not just your listeners. It will benefit

(26:50):
everybody in the country, if not in the world. And
the reason for that is because if the FDA allows
the claims, what it's going to do is it's going
to pressure all of the other companies that are using
sorbitol in their toothpaste and their mouthwashes. It's going to
pressure them to use xylotol also.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
You know, they'll be able to make a claim for
and if the FDA approves it here in the US,
most other countries will follow what the FDA does and
allow claims to be made for xylotol in those other countries.
And I think that is going to help a big
help in improving oral hygiene and systemic help in our
country and in the world.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
H And xylotol is readily available in the Spry products
and also the clear nasal sprays. I want to make
mention of that too, But we're talking. We're talking mainly
about the Spry Dell Defense System today and the xylotol
in that, and it's it's readily available everywhere as we speak,
in the toothpaste, the mouth renses, the mouthwashes, gums, mints, everything,

(27:52):
and you can find it at Walgreen, CBS, Vimenshop, Target,
Kroger Sprouts, a number of different natural grossers also on
Amazon and through the website. But so, what what is
there is that the list of products, if approved for this,
that that will have this anti carries UH with xylotol,
the promotion through the through this petition or or is

(28:13):
there other products that may be involved with this, Well.

Speaker 4 (28:16):
Those are our products, I mean, but we're not doing
this petition for for Clear. We're doing it for the broader.
I mean, there's other companies. I don't want to tell
you their names, but there's actually a number of other
companies that will benefit from this who already make xylotol toothpaste,
slotol mouthwashes, they make xylotol gum. I mean, we are

(28:36):
we are the biggest one out there, but compared to
some of the companies in the mass market, we're tiny,
tiny little fi specs. But what I do see happening
if it gets approved is I see all of those
companies starting to implement and include xylotol in their products.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
Mm hmmmm, yeah, yeah, I tell you what is the
spread downal defense system in the in the clear nasal
sprays been a game changer for for myself and my family.
I don't even think I could I could even go
back to the readily available the colgates and whatever Clear
is just it just stands out as far as that goes.
But a question I always always get from listeners is

(29:15):
xylotol is it safe for children to use?

Speaker 4 (29:20):
Ohxlotol is incredibly safe for children. In fact, the nasal
spray was originally invented by my dad to prevent ear
infections and babies. They've been doing oral hygiene studies on
children for decades. I mean, one of the greatest things
in the ways to use elatol is actually they've done
studies showing that if pregnant mothers choose elotol gum, they

(29:42):
have fewer pre term births and their kids don't have cavities. Well,
if we get rid of the bacteria in our mouth,
we don't have it to give to our children, and
we're all good.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
M Yeah, that's a good point to make. Of course,
we know that children they definitely have their They eat
just about anything. Sugar is everything that we want to
try to prevent those that bacteria from overgrowing. So I again,
for your children, I highly recommend the spread dental defense
system as well. All right, Nate, So we're gonna get

(30:19):
into more of this this after the break. But folks,
if you want to keep this health conversation going. It
doesn't stop just here. If you've got pressing questions about
your health, or you need wellness tips or anything in between.
Doctor Bob and I are just phone call away at

That's all available twenty four to seven at doctor bob
dot com. All right, Nate, let's get back into our conversation.
We're talking with Nate Jones, the CEO of Clear, and
we're talking about the petition that's been filed with the
FDA to approve xylotol as an active ingredient in dental
hygiene products and nate what are the potential benefits if

(35:22):
the FDA approves this.

Speaker 4 (35:25):
I think the benefits are that people are going to
have a better education about what xilotol is because right
now nobody can go out and really educate people about xylotol.
It's interesting next time, next time you go to the dentist,
ask your dentist and your hygienist about xylotol, and most
of them know what it is, and they'll say, oh, yeah,

(35:45):
I like xylotol. Yeah, this is what it does. And
then ask them, why the heck haven't you talked to
me about this? Because they don't. And that really is
a conundrum because the way the regulations, the way the
FDA has the regulations written, because Islet's hall is not
a drug, nobody can talk about how it prevents tooth decay,

(36:09):
and so it becomes very difficult to do that and
educate the public if the companies that have a financial
interest in it aren't allowed to make any statements at all.
And that's that to me, is is crazy. It's it's
kind of like the best example I have is, you know,

(36:31):
take take washing your hands for example. Everybody knows that
washing your hands is one of the best ways to
stop the spread of communicable diseases just using soap and water.
But the companies that make soap, you know, like Irish
Spring and Dove and Ivory and and I don't know
all these other ones, none of them can ever say,

(36:53):
wash your hands to stay healthy, wash your hands to
stop the spread of of you know, the flute. They're
banned from saying that. And we all know about washing
our hands because the CDC and public health agencies have
done a good job of educating this, but yet the
CDC and the public health agencies have never really gone

(37:14):
out and started and tried to educate people about oral
hygiene and the ramifications that has for systemic health, and
how brushing your teeth and utilizing xylotol to make your
mouth healthier is actually going to help stop spread the
spread of disease to yourself and to others.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
Mm hmm yeah, and that's I think.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
I think this will actually help motivate and push that
process along also mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
Yeah. And I know we've had the conversation before about
the about oral health at oral cavity. I mean, that's
the that's the gateway for a lot of these systemic conditions.
And of course the study that we mentioned earlier in
the show and with this, I know with with clear
has teamed up with the American Dental Hygienesisciation on this.
And as far as the what role does the American

(38:06):
Dental Hygienis Association that ADHA have in this petition.

Speaker 4 (38:12):
I don't know that they have a huge role. It's
really there. They understand the value of adding xylatol. They
don't want to take away from fluoride. I mean they
even said, hey, don't take away from fluoride. Fluoride is
the cornerstone. I said, well, I don't know that I
agree with you, But if you guys want to go
ahead and say that fluoride is the cornerstone, something that
reduces tooth decay by florida, let's say four to fifteen

(38:35):
percent at best, if that's your cornerstone, then I don't
know that I really agree with you, but I'll let
you guys go with that. I would much rather go
with something that multiple studies show it reduces tooth decay
and logic actually explains how it actually reduces tooth decay
for the long term as opposed to fluoride. But we
went out to and we had a bunch of hygienis
with us. But we went out to Washington, d C.

(38:57):
Two weeks ago and walked around to a whole bunch
congressional offices, shared the petition with them. I mean, we
didn't get to talk to too many people because the
government shutdown happened, and you know, it was right during
the first week of the government shutdown, so you know,
we didn't want to skip the whole trip, but we
didn't get to see as many people as we'd hope.

(39:17):
But they have been supportive and and as we move forward,
I hope they're more supportive.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
Mm hmmm. So, Nate, if our listeners want to get
involved with this again, we have many many listeners that
use the spriade downal Defense system. How can the public
support this this petition?

Speaker 4 (39:35):
There's really three ways. One they can actually just go
to our web page www dot x L e A
r dot com and right there on the front page
there should be a button that they can click on.
It'll take them right to the petition. They can read
through it, they can sign it. They they can then
send it to you know, send a link if they
know their dentist or their hygienis, if they know their

(39:56):
email address, send that to them. And then go to
your congressman or your congresswoman, your congressperson and send them
an email. If you go to their web page, they
usually have a link. You can just click on it
and it'll put an email. But send them an email
and ask them to make sure that the FDA does
the right thing.

Speaker 2 (40:16):
Mm hmmmm. So so again, listeners, if you're wanting to
uh to to get involved with this, head over to
clear dot com and you can find where you can
you can sign the petition. And I also want to
encourage you to to look for a complete list of

Welcome back. This is doctor Adam Brockman for the Doctor
Bob Martin Show. And as we're wrapping up today's discussion
with Nate Jones, the CEO of Clear, I want to
leave you with some reminders. First and foremost, your health
is your greatest asset, and whether you're dealing with gum
disease or need some help with cavities. There's ways that
you can seek to improve your overall well being, naturally,

(43:34):
one of those being with the Spride Dental Defense system.
And uh, and Nate, I want to ask you again
just to just a just a sum up the the
point of this, UH, this petition, how we can, how
we can get involved, and what are the next steps.

Speaker 4 (43:52):
The next step is we just wait. The FDA has
already acknowledged that they've received it. They've acknowledged that it
was formatted right and correctly, and now it's just you know,
we sit around and wait until they come back and
then say yay, nay. Hopefully they come back and you know,
if they have any questions, we can answer those questions.
But at this point, it's just waiting and waiting for

(44:13):
them to make them move and do what they should do.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
Mm hmm, all right in Nate, I think you brought
a point to me before that you said that ninety
percent of American adults still experience dental decay, and it
just seems like a natural fit for xylotol to be
in the forefront there.

Speaker 4 (44:31):
Yeah, I mean you mentioned that that oral disease is
one of the main diseases. And I hate to break
it to you, but oral disease cavities is actually the
most prevalent contagious disease in America, and most people, including
our government, refuse to acknowledge that it's contagious. But it
is contagious. If you when you're born, we get it

(44:54):
from our parents. That is a vertically transmitted contagious disease.
Correct me if I'm wrong, and you can get it
if you're out there sharing saliva, swapping spit, we're doing
anything like that with someone who has high levels of
strip mutants.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
Wow, yeah, Yeah, it's an important to note there. I
mean the oral cavity again, like we said several times
throughout the show, it's the it's the gateway to our
overall health. Bacteria can be transmitted very easily. If we
have we have gum disease or cavities. All right, Nate.
So again, folks, if you want to get involved with

(45:32):
this petition to prove xylotol as an active ingredient in
dental hygiene products, head over to clear dot com. That's
spelled x L e A R dot com. I also
