Speaker 2 (01:01):
Welcome to the Doctor Bob Martin Show. I'm doctor Adam Brockman,
your host today. We have a great hour ahead, so
let's go ahead and get started. Did you know that
your digestive system houses up to eighty percent of your
body's immune cells eighty percent your gut. It's not just
where your food goes to get processed, it's your body's

(01:24):
primary defense headquarters. And as we're barreling headfirst right into
the holiday season with family gatherings, travel in let's be honest,
probably more indulgent eating than our waistlines prefer, your gut
immunity faces its biggest test of the year. Imagine your

(01:44):
microbiome as that bustling city where trillions of bacterial citizens.
They work around the clock to keep you healthy. But
what happens when the holiday stress comes, the processed foods
and the seasonal changes, they turn that threat, driving metropolis
into chaos. And today we're going to dive deep into

(02:05):
the world of gut immunity with someone who's spent decades
bridging that gap between conventional medicine and natural healing. It's
a conversation that you'll want you don't want to miss,
because we're about to uncover things that could revolutionize how
you approach your health this holiday season and beyond. And folks,

(02:28):
I want to go ahead and have our guests join
us today. It's Jane Janssen. She is a natural and
holistic practitioner at Tree of Life, Wellness Center in Massachusetts.
Now here's what makes Jane her perspective so unique. She
didn't start in the natural health world. Jane graduated from

(02:49):
Bedford College as a radiology technician. She worked in Waltham
Hospital and then she specialized in non invasive cardiac testing
at New England's Deaconess Hospital in Boston and Over. After
about four years, she became chief of Non Invasive card
Cardiology at the Lab at Merriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island,

(03:12):
where she conducted research and she trained students. But here's
where her story gets interesting. It was there that she
met her husband, doctor Wim Jansen, n D, a natural
medicine doctor that opened her eyes to the world beyond
prescription medications. And so for more than thirty five years,

(03:34):
Jane has continued her research and she shares her insights
through her blog on holistichealthline dot com. With that, I
want to welcome Jane to the Doctor Bob Martin Show.
How are you today?

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Jane, very good?

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Thank you, Doctor Brockman.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Well, I'm glad to have you today. I know we've
talked and you talk with Doctor Bob often about gut
immunity and Jane so let's just go and start with
the fundamentals. What exactly is gut immunity and why should
our listeners care?

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Well, it's this little microbiome that's going on in the
digestive tract. It's this balance of helping to eliminate invaders
that get into the digestive tract but also help with
the healing process as well as to help process your

(04:29):
foods get good nutrients. But the big component, as you
already mentioned, is that eighty percent of our immune system,
our ability to repair, is in the digestive tract. There
is a direct line between the digestive tract the way
our cells function, and they actually help the microbiome. The

(04:52):
good bacteria that's in your digestive tract actually helps to
educate your immune set so that they function better in
again helping to repair and also prevent disease down the road.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Mm hmm. And then, Jane, I know that you had mentioned.
You know, when we talk often you've been a guest
of the show, you talk about factors like diet, exercise,
your genes, uh, you know, past trauma's illness, lifestyle medications.
The list goes on and on and how they affect
your your your gut balance that that gut microbiome. And

(05:31):
you you've also talked to you've used an analogy talking
about a talking about it being a garden. Can you
explain that to our listeners.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Well, much like a garden needs to be tended. You
need good nutrients again, good ways to killing off you know,
the bad things that get into your digestive tract, but
also and protect and so this again is your immune
systems when of functioning, and so kind of think of

(06:02):
it as if you have a dried up soil and
you throw some seeds on there with no nutrition, then
it's not going to thrive. So it's about balance of
having healthy nutrients as well as different types of good
bacteria in the digestive track to help process as well

(06:26):
as again protect your immune system and help your immune
system function better.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Yeah, and Jane, I really like that garden analogy. And
I know in my practice, I see patients all the
time who were you know, treating symptoms. You know, they
come in the office. We're trying to treat them as
holistically as possible, but they've been looking at these symptoms,
if you will, those those weeds and instead of nurturing

(06:55):
that soil. It's like trying to grow prize winning tomato
is in a crack in the concrete. So I think
you're absolutely right with that analogy and that ecosystem approach
to where real healing begins. And of course I asked
you to come on the show because as we're transitioning
into winter, the challenges of our immunity, in particular our

(07:20):
gut immunity. So I want you to tell our listeners
what specific challenges does our gut immunity go through during
this time of year.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Well, it's already started with Thanksgiving and all the stress
and the different foods that potentially can disrupt the microbiome,
but also you know the stress the colds and flus
that you're exposed to. Even different temperature, extreme hot or
extreme cold can disrupt this balance. It's a very delicate

(07:54):
balance that can occur. And so with our seasonal changes again,
this disruption of the microbiome can affect us as far
as the immune system and our likelihood to have already
existing health issues become flared up, but also to again

(08:16):
contract different germs that we're exposed to, increase acid reflux,
increase digestive issues, and so this is a time to
really important to tap that microbiome healthy as possible.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Yeah, yeah, And that's exactly what we're seeing this time
of year in the clinics right now. It's like a
perfect storm. You know, your kids or your grandkids, they
become these little germ factories and parents are stressed about
holiday preparations and suddenly everyone's getting sick. And the conventional

(08:56):
approach is to wait until you're already sick, then treat
with antibiotics that further disrupt that gut microbiome. So to me,
that's backwards thinking, is that is that kind of how
you envision this too.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Well, Again, the antibiotics when absolutely necessary, but otherwise they
do add as a contributing factor. They kill off not
only the bad bacteria, but they also kill off the
good bacteria that's in your digestive track that again helps
you to protect you. And also what can happen is

(09:31):
that you know, you start eating certain foods that you're
not used to eating, particularly high sugar foods or white
flower products that again cause inflammation and disrupt the microbiome
and contributes to again feeling ill during the holidays, when

(09:53):
that's really the one time you don't want to be
feeling ill.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Mm hmm, yeah, absolutely, folks. We're talking with Jane Janssen.
She is a natural and holistic practitioner, and we're talking
about the gut microbiome and how to stay healthy during
the holidays, and when we come back from from break,
we're going to continue this conversation. But if you've got
questions about your immune system, I want you to give

Speaker 5 (11:02):
If you're a big sports fan like me, sometimes the
best part about watching a football game are the pre
and post game shows. Well, it's the same for probiotics.
The most important part of probiotics are the prebiotics and
post biotics that come along. Not all probiotics have this
superior combination. That's why I only buy Doctor o'heres probiotics.
You see, prebiotics feed the probiotic colonies and your intestines,

(11:24):
and post biotics are the organic nutrients produced by doctor
o'heres three year fermentation process that become the foundation for
long term colonization of the good bacteria in your body.
This is so important. No other probiotic formula has this.
As I get older, I want to protect my health
the best I can and use only the best supplements
that are available. So score a touchdown for your health.

Sometimes I feel like welcome back. You're listening to the
Doctor Bob Martin show. I'm doctor Adam Brockman, and here
we're all about smarter living and thriving naturally and teaching
you to become your own best doctor most of the time.
And remember, if you've got questions about health, nutrition, or
anything in between, our toll free hotline is open at

(12:41):
eight hundred six or six eight eight two two. That's
where you find doctor Bob and I and we're standing bye.
To help you unlock your best self. That's eight hundred
six or six eight eight two to two. All right,
let's get back into our conversation with Jane Janssen. She
is a natural and holistic practitioner, and she's talking about
staying healthy during the during the winter holiday season. And so, Jane,

(13:05):
the holidays, they're supposed to be joyful, but they can
also wreak havoc on our health. Can you can you
break this down for us, Jane, and how the holidays
specifically impact our gut immunity.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
In particular, I think the stress levels significantly rise, anxiety,
even depression this time of year. It's you know, everybody's
supposed to be happy, and maybe you're not feeling happy,
maybe somebody has passed, or you are in a difficult
situation financially. So sometimes that is also contributing factor to

(13:40):
how the digestive tract functions, but also how the digestive
tract functions increases those feelings that potentially are putting a
damper on your holidays. And so particularly there's a gut
brain connection that can affect how our neurons function and

(14:03):
the different hormones that are produced in the brain. To
feel better, and so we don't want to suppress that,
we don't want to diminish those feel good hormones. And
so these different foods that potentially that we're eating as well,
like sugar, alcohol, processed foods are all inflammatory and inflame

(14:27):
the nervous system that potentially, again can be contributing to
the way we feel during the holidays. Then if you
add on top of that getting sick because of these
foods again feeding the bad bacteria or the viruses that
we come in contact with, then you know, we're sick

(14:47):
on top of that, and we can't enjoy the holidays
with our friends and family like we would like to.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Yeah, and you know, I know we discussed this and
that gut hold the second brain because ninety percent or
so of the body serotonin is produced there. So folks,
Jane she talked, nailed something very critical here, and that's
that gut brain connection. And I can't tell you how
many patients come to me, you know, the first part

(15:16):
of the year in January saying I don't know why,
but I feel anxious and depressed and all the way
through the holidays. So Jane just discussed some of those
reasons for that and also your body it feeds that
bad bacteria with sugar and stress, and that literally hijacks
your mood. So it's not all just in your head,

(15:37):
it's also in your gut. Is that a good way
to cut sum that up?

Speaker 7 (15:41):
Jane?

Speaker 4 (15:42):
Absolutely? And again what you eat potentially again, the processed foods,
the sugar, the alcohol, the bad fats, these all contribute
to our stress hormone production and again decreases the production

(16:02):
of the serotonin, which is the feel good brain chemical.
And so this is about again balance And it's not
that you can't eat any of these things, but if
you eat an excess, that's when things start going downhill rapidly.
So pick and choose, you know, the treats that you
want to have. But if you have a healthier microbiome,

(16:24):
then you're less likely to succumb to these negative emotions
that can happen again when you start eating things that
you're not used to eating.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Yeah, and I think it's safe to say that that
the holidays they throw all of our diets off and
we just you know, it's it's part of the season.
But we can't take a complete break from from what
we know is right with this Jane, I want to
I want to switch over to holiday travel. Many many
of our listeners they're going to be planning, planning on

(16:55):
doing some holiday travel, whether that's on the road or
through air. What what should our listeners know about flying's
impact on gut health.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
I think a lot of people don't realize how much
flying or even sometimes traveling on trains or taking cruises can,
you know, disrupt our digestive tracks. But to particularly flying,
First you have the stress aspect of getting there and
waiting in long lines and finally getting on the plane,

(17:25):
and you can develop what's known as jet belly, which
is not a very great thing to have when you're flying,
particularly in long trips. The plane travel actually again disrupts
the gut microbiome through jet lag dehydration. Again, the way
you eat is differently, and the stress factor and being

(17:47):
exposed to these germs that your body hasn't been exposed
to from a bunch of people that you know, you
don't know who they are, where they've been, what they're
carrying with them. But then the cabin reese cycles that
air with those germs through the environment as you're sitting
there inhaling these again unfamiliar bacteria or viruses, and that

(18:12):
can upset the microbiome equilibrium, and so this can lead
to issues like bloating, acid reflux, nausea, constipation, or even
traveler's diarrhea. And then flying for long distance as a
high altitude slows down the digestive muscles, which contribute to

(18:34):
again the bloating and constipation due to decreased cabin pressure.
And then confined movement. You're not up and moving around,
which gets the digestive tract contracting better. And then again
the recycled air can cause dehydration, which again can lead

(18:54):
towards constipation. And then interestingly enough, as the plane as
it goes up in the air, the cabin pressure actually decreases,
causing a lot of gas in your digestive system to expand.
So this is you kind of feel like a bag
of chips that puffs up at high altitude and not

(19:16):
very comfortable when you're traveling on a plane.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
That's a that's a good way to explain it, and
in jet belly, I love that term. It perfectly describes
what so many travelers experience. And this might be a
tip if we if we think of the gut bacteria
like house plants. We wouldn't leave our plants without water
and then suddenly flood them with airplane coffee and peanuts. Right,

(19:42):
So we got that food connection, but then we also
got this pressure connection. And your gut, that microbiome, it
needs consistent care, especially when you're literally flying through the
air at thirty thousand feet with all those new germs.
The pressure, the food for instance, usually dehydration as as well.

(20:03):
Uh So, so.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
It's best to you know, be drinking water as opposed
to like alcohol or coffee because those actually act as
diuretics and to you know, cause you to lose moisture.
So if you're on a plane, make sure you know
that you're improving your microbiome by also drinking enough water.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Yeah, and that's a great way to explain it. And
so so Jane, we painted this this picture of holidays
and holiday travel. What is the solution? What what should
people do to improve their gut immunity.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
Well, let's face it, none of us want to be sick.
We don't have time to be sick. We want to
be healthy and enjoy uh decreased pain as well as
you know, chronic headaches, digestive issues, colds, all those allergies,
and you want to enjoy the holidays, so one of
the things you want to do is, you know, again,

(20:59):
try I do, tone the health of the holiday foods
down just a little bit. Don't go crazy with it.
Go for the things that you absolutely know and leave
the other things to the side, but try to, you know,
strive towards a more healthier diet that include some fiber
rich foods, vegetables and also fermented foods are actually very

(21:20):
good for your digestive tract, like keifer, sour cro kimchi
very beneficial. So if you can include a little bit
of that and stay hydrated, you'll probably do a lot better.
But there are other things you can potentially do.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
All right, Jane, and I want to get back into
that more because I know you got some great suggestions
out there. So we're talking about those fermented foods, the
key for the sour kraut, the kimchi, all those are
great things to keep in the diet for gut health.
But Jane's got some other secrets. So stay right there.
You're listening to the Doctor Bob Martin Show.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
Are you waiting for the writings?

Speaker 9 (22:02):
Says Way, welcome back, Doctor Adam Brockman here and you're
tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin Show.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
As we're talking with Jane Jansen today. I also want
to remind you if you've got questions, we've got incredible
listener resources for you, one being our email health question form.

Spelling out the word doctor d O C T O

(22:35):
R Bob dot com. And remember you can always call
our toll free hotline at eight hundred six zero six
eight eight two to two. Again, that's eight hundred six
aero six eight eight two to two. All right, folks,
your health journey matters to us and we're here to
help you every step of the way. In with us
to help you is Jane Jansen. She is a natural
and holistic practitioner, and we're talking about keeping your gut,

(22:56):
in your in your immune system healthy through the holidays
and get Jane. So we've been talking about travel, how
it disrupts the microbiome, and we're talking about our diets,
the saturated fats, the sugars, everything that we're getting that
we maybe normally don't have. So what we talked about
some foods that may be able to implement in that

(23:17):
kimchi se sourkraft. What other things can people do to
improve their gut immunity during the holidays.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
I think one of the most beneficial things that they
can do is to get a good probiotic. But you
need one that contains probiotics, prebiotics and post biotics. This
combination can be more effective than just plain probiotics alone
because the prebiotics, which is the fermented foods that help

(23:47):
support the growth and survival of good bacteria, and post
biotic metabolites are important for regulators of health. In addition
to regulating the health of the gut, microbiome ecosystem, many
of these metabolites also get absorbed into the body, where
they can help regulate every other organ system in the

(24:09):
body's And there's one in particular that I love. It's
the Doctor Here is Probiotic. I think it is the
best probiotic, prebiotic post biotic formula that you can find.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
All right, Yeah, Jane, she's talking about the holy trinity
here the probiotics, the probiotics, and the post biotics. Most people,
they think about probiotics are just these little yogurt drinks.
But that's like thinking of a band aid to fix
a broken bone. You need that whole system working together.
It's not just about adding good bacteria, it's about feeding

(24:45):
them and creating the right environment for them to thrive.
And Jane, she mentioned doctor Ohira's probiotics and Jane's she's
been in practice for forty five years now and she's
probably has experience with countless probiotic formulations. What stands out
about doctor Oheres besides maybe maybe get a little bit
more detailed about the pre the pro and the post biotics,

(25:07):
but also that the process is what's so exciting, I
think when you're talking about doctor Oheresh.

Speaker 4 (25:14):
Yeah, I mean what I love is it stood the
test of time and all the years of being in practice.
It's important for my patients to get results, and so
it actually makes me look better when a product works.
And so doctor Here's probiotics has worked for such a
long time, and it's it's a very unique formula. It

(25:38):
actually is made by Essential Formulas Incorporated and is an
award winning one hundred percent natural unique combination of the
again the prebiotics, which is the food for the probiotics,
and it also has thirteen strains of probiotics, which actually

(25:58):
it's the feeding of the probiotic by the prebiotic causes
what's called post biotic metabolites, which help to again nourish.
Think of them as the micronutrients that help nourish the
whole body, every cell in the body, particularly the digestive tract,

(26:19):
the brain, the heart, the kidneys, the whole system, the
circulatory system, and so the way they ferment the foods
over a three year period, you get the strongest, healthiest
probiotics that then are encapsulated in this food so it

(26:41):
continues to thrive and continues to produce these good bacteria
and these post biotic metabolites, and then when you ingest them,
it helps to again repopulate as well as feed the
good bacteria that's already native to your intestinal track. And

(27:01):
it's it's an amazing formula.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Yeah, that unique three year fermentation process. It guarantees the
strongest bacteria survive and results in the essential post biotic
metabolite nutrients that's beneficial for the entire body. So this
is doctor O. Here's probiotics we're talking about with a
three years of fermentation, and that's that's patients that I
wish more supplement companies had. Most most probiotics, they're like

(27:28):
fast food for your gut. But doctoral Hera's approached is
more like maybe a slow cooked perfect stew. That's the
traditional Japanese fermentation process that creates something that you just
can't replicate in a lab. I think that's the difference
between the authentic bread and in wonder bread. Jane would

(27:51):
would that be a safe analogy?

Speaker 9 (27:53):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (27:54):
And I think you know they also have any a
unique strain which is not found in their probiotics. It's
called THH ten. It's a proprietary strain which was discovered
by the award winning microbiologist doctor Ichiro Ohhira after years
of extension of research and development. So this is they

(28:16):
have over fifty years of research that shows how these
this is the best way of producing probiotics and to
have the healthiest, strongest surviving probiotics. Most of the probiotics
that are out there, they'll put in a zillion billion,
gazillion and it's not about that because actually they found

(28:40):
too many of certain types of bacteria can cause a problem.
But it's again it's throwing things out of balance. And
this is what I love about the Doctor Oheer's probiotics
is the balance, the natural balance that occurs with this
fermentation process.

Speaker 7 (28:58):
M h.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Yeah, And again I think that that was important important
note that you said, you know people throw you know
on these supplements, they say billions and billions of bacteria.
Can you explain the significance of the doctor Ohira's strains
that the thirteen strains in it? What the difference? But
there's there's still billions of bacteria, but it's it's targeted nutrition.

(29:21):
And that's what I want a lot of the listeners
to understand.

Speaker 4 (29:25):
Well, the hell again a lot of different ones that
again thirteen different strains, but they do target very specific
health concerns. In particular, they have one that's Biffidobacterium reef
M sixteen V, which is a long word but basically
particularly beneficial and it's in found in high concentrations in

(29:48):
the colons of breastfed babies to help promote again good
intestinal and protect against infant diarrhea, which can happen a
lot in children. It's also about giving nutrition to the
rest of the body that is so in need these days,
because most people's diets are not as top of the line,

(30:12):
and a lot of the medications that they take can
potentially be decreasing. Again, the good bacteria and the microbiome
and the digestive track.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
That's an important thing to note, and that's what I
want to get back into once we come back from break.
We're talking with Jane Janssen. She is a natural and
holistic practitioner, and we're talking about doctor o. Here's probiotics

the Doctor Bob Martin Show, America's number one health talk
radio program. Before we jump back Naty's conversation with Jane Jansen,
I also want to remind you that your wellness journey
continues even when we're off air. First, our physician team
is always available at eight hundred six zero six eight
eight two to two for your health questions. That's eight

(34:45):
hundred six zero six eight eight two to two. And second,
don't forget you can access our entire podcast library anytime
at doctor Bob dot com. There, you can re listen
to your favorite episodes, you can catch up on shows
you missed or discovered new health insights, all available twenty
four an at doctorbob dot com. All right, let's get
back today's conversation with Jane Jansen and Jane before the break,

(35:05):
you were talking about how we really don't get all
we need from foods today, and that's because you know,
we're eating ultra processed foods even on the you know,
most of the diet in America now is sixty to
seventy percent processed foods, and even if you're trying to
be healthier, we still are probably getting you know, thirty

(35:26):
percent processed foods. So that makes me recommend probiotics across
the board for everybody to maintain their immune system their
health in general. And I want you to expand on
that because that's a very good point that you brought
up right before break.

Speaker 4 (35:41):
Yes, most people don't eat many vegetables with fiber or
even some fruits with fiber. They tend to go more
for the sweet stuff that's out there as well as
you know, just the again different high caffeine content, thecidity
from coffee, for instance, can disrupt the microbiome. But also

(36:05):
you know the number of medications people take, in particular
the acid inhibitors like omeprazole or prilosect as well as
different even cholesterol medication can disrupt the microbiome and so
this puts you more at risk of the immune system

(36:27):
not functioning quite as well. They have found people who
have kidney disease or Parkinson's disease, dementia as well as
heart disease tend to be lacking in the post biotic
metabolites that are produced in the doctor Here's formula by

(36:48):
the prebiotic feeding the probiotic and resulting in the post
biotic metabolites which are essential for even allergy issues and
chronic disease problems that most people have like arthritis, as
well as even just gum disease. I have patients that
I suggest that they open up a capsule and massage

(37:12):
the paste from doctor Oheres into the gums because it
helps to decrease the bacteria and increase improves the microbiome
in the mouth, which again, bacteria in the mouth can
actually lead towards heart disease down the road.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
Yeah, and that is a starting point. The oral cavity
is the portal of entry for a lot of good
and bad things that we do in our in our
diet and bacteria wise. And I know that we've been
talking about doctor o'here's probiotics, and you've and you've talked
about fermented foods. There's there's other natural approaches out there

(37:51):
that are our listeners should consider, and I want you
to go over just a few of those if you,
if you can, Jane, please well, there are.

Speaker 4 (37:59):
A lot of different other natural supplements that can be
helpful for immunity, but one that a lot of people
aren't familiar with is propolists, which is actually, you know,
a result of the honeybees that are out there working
hard and they actually helped to promote the immune system's

(38:19):
ability to produce healthy white blood cells that go around
and kill off infection, in particular the honeybees from the
Amazon Brazilian green. Probolists exhibits strong anti microbial properties uh
when it's effective against bacteria, including antibiotic resistant strains which

(38:45):
is becoming more and more problematic, as well as reducing
inflammation and improving digestion. And doctor Hears makes a propolest
plus which features this Brazilian green propolists sourced from the
Amazon region.

Speaker 2 (39:05):
Okay, yeah, I love how, Jane, how you describe propolists,
and I want to I want to go ahead and
spell that out out for everybody that's taking notes out there.
It's it's p R O p O L I S.
And that's the basically the bees. It's the hives immune
system and bees they they don't get sick for the
most part. And folks, they've figured out something that we're

(39:28):
now just just basically understanding, i'd say, Jane. And and
when you conmbine that with the probiotics, you're you're getting
a comprehensive immune system support that works from the inside out.
So it's like having nature's pharmacy in your gut, working
as a as a team together. Would that be appropriate
way to explain that?

Speaker 4 (39:48):
Absolutely, In particular for my cancer patients, whom you know,
when they're going through treatments, the immune system is so important.
Can't you know, risk them getting infect from other sources,
but also to help repair. So I find that utilizing
the doctor here's probiotics as well as the propolist plus

(40:12):
is helping their immune systems to stay strong. But it's
beneficial for anybody to take, but particularly people who have
weakened immune systems.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
Okay, we're talking with Jane Janssen. She is a natural
and holistic practitioner, and we've been talking about doctor Here's probiotics,
which are available at natural Grossers, Sprouts, Whole Foods and
other health retailers. But doctor Here's propolist Plus is available online,
So I encourage you to visit Essential Formulas dot com

(40:42):
to find a retailer nearest you or to get propolists plus.
All right, we'll be right back after the break with
Jane Janssen. You're listening to the Doctor Bob Martin Show.

Speaker 11 (40:55):

Welcome back. You're listening to the Doctor Bob Margin Show.
I'm doctor Adam Brockman, and folks, we've uncovered a lot
in this hour with Jane Jansen, and it's not just
fascinating science. It should be a roadmap for taking control
of your health during the most challenging time of the year.
Your Your gut immunity isn't some type of abstract concept.

(43:45):
It's your body's frontline defense that it undergoes siege every
single day, but even more so during the holiday season,
and as we're heading into the holiday gatherings, the travel,
and the seasonal changes. Remember Jane garden analogy. You can
choose to be the gardener who tends to the soil,
feeds those beneficial plants, and creates an environment where health thrives,

(44:10):
or you can ignore your inner ecosystem and wonder why
you keep getting sick. So that choice is yours. But
now with today's conversation, you've been armed with the knowledge
to make informed decisions. So it's not about perfection. It's
about giving your body the tools. Your body the tools
that it needs to protect itself and heal itself naturally.

(44:31):
And Jane, again, thanks for joining us today, and I
just want to with the last couple of minutes, I
want you to wrap up maybe some certain foods or
habits people should do and they should absolutely avoid doing
to protect themselves during in their gut health during the holidays.

Speaker 4 (44:47):
Well as much as possible, stay away from the highly
processed foods, particularly high sugar, high caffeinated beverages and alcohol
as much as possible, enjoy, don't go extreme, and then
try to increase you know, the fiber in your diet,
good healthy fiber as well as fermented foods. And think

(45:08):
of you know a lot of people want to take
a multi vitamin. I say, take doctor here as probiotics.
You're going to get much better results in the long term.
Multis are okay, but doctor who here is probiotics is
a foundational supplement that will help every area in your
body be as healthy as possible.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
Yeah, and thank you so much for joining us today.
And I think if you combine doctor or Here's probiotics
and maybe some of the other supplementation out there that
people are lacking this time of year, whether it's zinc
or maybe they should look for those those micronutrients even
as far as that goes. So, folks, as we're wrapping
up this hour, I want to make sure you know

(45:50):
where you can find these powerful gut health tools that
Jane discuss today. Doctor here is probiotics. They're available at
Natural Grossers, Sprouts, Whole Foods, and other natural health retailers
and plus online. That's where you'll also find doctor o'here's
Propolis plus. And so if you head over to Essential

Facebook and Instagram for ongoing health tips and updates. So again, Jane,
thank you so much for joining us today, and folks,
