Speaker 1 (00:03):
You're listening to doctor Troy Munson's Words of Radiance. Now
here is doctor Munson. Hello and welcome. I'm doctor Troy.
Have you been on this journey long enough now that
you're thinking, how in the world do I let go
of this silly monkey mind and these beliefs that constantly
(00:27):
torment me? How can I just be at peace and see?
And of course there is a very simple way. I'm
reminded this morning as I was working with some students, clients, people,
whatever you want to call them, and we were talking
about how do we how do we get to the
(00:49):
other side? And even today in driving to my office,
I was thinking, can't I just let go of all
of these erroneous beliefs all at once? Do I really
have to dismantle them? And of course I don't. I
can let go of them all at once, and so
can you. And the quick answer is, yes, it's possible,
(01:10):
But are you going to do it? Can you do it?
And how do you do it? Now? The whole rub
is you cannot see both worlds at once, meaning the
world of love and the world of pain, the world
of fear, the world of hatred. You have to actually
(01:30):
choose and decide for love at every moment. Now, as
I was driving here, I was doing a great job
of not being miffed at traffic lights and traffic and
cars and what they were doing. And I immediately kind
of it's kind of a getting sucked into this, or
(01:53):
a setup is a better way to put it. That
everything was going my way this morning, and of course
it was nice and easy driving. And then I came
to the hill that I liked to basically go down
without breaking ever once, and there was nobody in front
of me. I knew that it would be pure clear sailing.
(02:17):
And as I was going down it at seven fifty
five in the morning, I round a corner and there's
a bus with its stop sign out, and I'm like, ah,
And immediately I had an expectation, and that expectation now
(02:38):
put a block in front of me, for if I
had an expectation, it could be effected. And once again
I did that knee jerk response of ah, and immediately
corrected myself. But I thought, again, hmmm, I made it
about a half an hour this morning without going m
(03:01):
and then correcting myself within just a very short period
of time, usually a couple of seconds, and I look
forward to the day when I've fully decided to see
only love, and that, of course is the goal, to
see only love and nothing else. But remember, you will
(03:22):
not see what you do not believe. I'll say it again,
you will not see what you do not believe. You
will only see what you believe. And so if you
believe that the world is hard, or if you believe
that the world is out to get you, or if
you believe that the world is bad, or if you
(03:45):
believe that the world is a place of fear, you
will not see love. But if you believe that when
you have stilled your mind and seen the peace within
you and feel the welling up of love within you,
if you've looked at a tree and thought, my gosh,
(04:07):
that is gorgeous, and feel the love that is all
around you. If you've listened to the birds and had
a cat sitting on your lap as you're petting it,
purring up a storm. If you've not felt that kind
of love even when you say I do on or
at the altar, to another individual that becomes your spouse,
(04:29):
and feel the love for them at one time. Fully,
if you help somebody and they look upon you with
a smile that says it all that I am so
so grateful that you were here and that you were
right where you needed to be when I needed you most.
And I cannot love you anymore at this moment than
(04:51):
I do right now. If you have felt all of
those things, then begin to call them up, one at
a time, over and over until it is all that
you see, and even in the traffic, you see love
that all these people. Without them, these roads would not exist.
(05:15):
Cars would not exist. You would not have the vehicle
you have. You would not be able to drive once
in a while on an open road as fast as
you wanted. You would not be able to feel the
power of the engine tugging at you and pushing you
back into your seat. You would not be able to
experience any of that. Without all these people, these roads
(05:36):
would not exist because no one would make a road
just for you, and no one would make a car
just for you. They wouldn't do it for me either.
We'd be stuck trying to create our own tires and
our own steering wheel, and our own engine, and our
own chassis, and our own body and paint. We would
have had to have done it all just to do
(05:57):
that and then we would have to have paved a
road long enough for us to have us straightaway in
order to experience what that's like. We can see love
everywhere if we choose. I'm reminded of a student that
told me about all of his classmates that were against him,
and yet his mind stayed clear because he had remembered
(06:19):
his teaching. And yet we can see love even in
the midst of that. I'm reminded of another friend that
can they stay in love's presence even in a courtroom
where everybody is blaming them for everything? Can they even
stay in the presence of love there? They didn't think
(06:42):
they could do it, but they'll continue to try again
and again. Until you only see a world of love,
you will continue to see illusions around every corner. So
for those of you that are biblical scholars, your command
is Philippians four eight. Read it over and over and
(07:05):
think upon such things until next time. I'm doctor Troy,
And remember you have nothing to do, only something to see.
