Speaker 1 (00:01):
Check. This is the Words of Radiance podcast entitled It's
All About Power. Hello and welcome. I'm doctor Troy. Yeah,
(00:26):
I meet a lot of people that feel as though
they are powerless, that they don't know what to do.
They feel like they're at the end of the rope.
They would love to be able to do something more
than what they're doing. They feel stuck, they feel incapable,
(00:48):
they feel like they're a disappointment or that they are disappointed.
They feel like everybody has let them down, and that
they're just one more domino in a string. And the
ultimate idea here is that we had to forget, literally
had to forget what we are, who we are, where
(01:08):
we are in order to believe some of these ideas
that seem so preposterous once we start digging into them
that it almost it's almost too hard to believe. And
yet as we do, I think we're going to find
some quite beautiful things on the other sides. This is
(01:31):
yet another undoing. Now ultimately we're talking about the egoic mind,
or you know, even as as we look at the Bible,
I love the story of Jesus' is up on the Temple,
that on the Temple mount that God, or I should
(01:51):
say Satan put him on, and he shows him all
the world and he says, I'll give this all to
you if you'll only bow down to me. And of
course Jesus isn't willing to do that, because well, he
knows better. But also this is kind of the last
ditch effort that the egoic mind or Satan would try
(02:15):
to give us power and believe that they could give
us power. And ultimately, if we dial it into our
own mind and we see that this egoic mechanism that
goes about categorizing everything, trying to help you seemingly navigate
the world, don't go there, that's dangerous, don't do that
(02:36):
that's bad. Make sure you do this. This will keep
you safe. All these little things that the egoic mind does.
It never wants you once to entertain the idea that
you're actually afraid of it. And if you don't quite
understand what I'm saying the last time that you became angry,
(03:00):
look at it without any defense mechanisms. If you'll do
your very best not to make an excuse or try
to explain it, or say even those three words, I
don't know why I was angry. I was just so angry.
Instead of going to those places, look at it so
(03:22):
directly and ask the question, why why was I angry?
Why did I get so mad? And what you'll be
finding waiting for you is fear, And that fear comes
from a thought. And of course the thought is what
(03:43):
we're afraid of. And yet the thought was generated by
the egoic mechanism. And so what we're actually afraid of
is we're afraid of the ego. But we believe that
when it hands us something, and that we now have
this quote unquote power to avoid something that we think
might be unpleasant or that we think there might be
(04:07):
a better choice, and actually experience something more awesome, more powerful.
We literally have been duped. That the ego tells us
that I can give you power. I can give you power,
it says. Yet, if we remember that our true power
(04:28):
lies in that wonderful ability to love unconditionally, to be joyful,
even without a thought, Because at that state of divine peace,
that is complete and utter stillness, it is beautiful, it
(04:48):
is joyful in its own right, It is loving, it
is calm, it is expansive, it is creative. Potential waiting
to just explode and happen, and so us at our
core as we let go of all of these little
(05:09):
ridiculous thoughts that are fear driven and based on fear
and ultimately based on the lack of something, and we
realize that I don't lack, as I am one with
the Creator, forever and ever, I am one with peace,
I am one with truth, I am always being guided
(05:32):
forever and ever into that joyful state of peace and
stillness and love. And extending that to every brother and
sister on the planet feels a thousand times ten thousand
times one hundred thousand times better than anger and hatred.
Though some have been so used to anger and hatred
(05:54):
they actually loathe love and peace and joy. In fact,
it feels quite empty to them. You may have even
met some of these people. I know I have, But
even those we can shine a light into their mind
so bright that it literally shines away all those thoughts
of apathy, of nothingness, of lack of what's the use,
(06:21):
And all of a sudden we watch a person begin
to look around, as if for the first time, just
barely lifting their head, the possibility that there could be
something other than what they are going through, And then
they hold their head up a little bit higher, and
they look around, maybe even just take a quick glance
(06:43):
at the sun so bright? How did ever not notice
how glorious the colors were around me? The brightness of
the sun. It's all these wonderful things that are waiting
those that have the courage to say no to their
brain just once, and say no to fear, just once,
(07:07):
and to look at it directly and realize, why would
I ever want to experience this ever again? How could
I possibly be duped one more time by something as
undesirable as fear? In all of its flavors, whether it
be sadness, anger, pride, shame, guilt, Who would want it? And,
(07:34):
of course, looked at correctly, none of us would. But
we tend to play with those things and give it
our investment, our attention. Our idea is that maybe it
has value to feel really shameful, maybe it has value
to feel lack or something else, But of course it
(07:54):
does not. And as we begin to let go of
that idea of fear is being powerful, and all of
a sudden we watch love change people in an instant,
call them out of the darkness of their situation, and
they're willing to do it's right, and they stand there,
(08:15):
resolute in this beautiful joy that they experience, no longer
looking at the body as the end all be all.
The relationships change, they become easy, life becomes a joy
as they move through with effortlessness, and they realize the
power that they do wield is quite unimaginable. And then
(08:39):
they realize it is all about power. And I think
I will stay where actual power exists, that which is real,
not on that which is not real. For in the
absence of love, fear generates. But fear is only because
(08:59):
there is no nothing there that is seen. I decided
to look on what was not there, what does not exist,
and therefore be decided to become afraid. Let me not
do that anymore, as I look deeply within and find
that peace waiting for me that is palpable, and find
that joy emanating from that joyful place of absolute peace
(09:22):
and stillness, and that wonderful power of love that's right
there all the time, that knows that it is safe constantly,
that knows that it's never in danger. Let me bask
in that power over and over until it is all
that I desire. From here on I spent many, many
(09:44):
a year trying to figure out which I should decide
desire more. The choice becomes easier and easier as you go,
It really really does. In the beginning, sometimes it seems
quite daunting, yes, but fear few more real, but only
because you believe the body to be so. Also, but
(10:06):
this life is not what we think it is. It
is much more exquisite than the little paltry stuff that
you've been playing around with for years. I recommend you
let that go too, and see where unlimited presence, unlimited love,
unlimited peace, unlimited truth, unlimited life, unlimited light takes you.
(10:34):
God has an amazing plan and you're included, and you're
absolutely an important part of it, because without you, we
all cease to be whole. And so we're waiting on you.
We know you'll make the right choice, and if you
don't the first time, we'll wait again. We'll wait a
thousand times, ten thousand times, one hundred thousand times, whatever
(10:57):
it takes, and to finally you're done playing with that
which does not exist, and bring joy for that that does,
for eternity until next time. I'm doctor Troy, And remember
you have nothing to do, only something to see
