Shanella Harris on Abuse, Incarceration, and Finding Herself Again On this episode of the Make Mental Health Matter Show host Kelli Melissa Reinhardt has special guest Shanella Harris. Little bit about Shanella’s story from her:  I am speaking on the importance of Domestic Violence and correlating the mental impact that happens before, during, and after the abuse. I would like to encourage people by sharing my personal cycle of experience of abuse, imprisonment, and now what walking in my freedom looks and feels like. Short bio: Shanella Harris is a survivor of domestic abuse. Just in November of 2024, she was released from Denver Women's Correctional Facility from a 10 year Domestic Violence sentence that crushed her world. Her medical career and her chance to mother her new born child. She is now rebuilding herself and is the owner of Guided Steps LLC. She has now refocused and dedicated her life to helping women by encouraging them to see their own strength. She extends a helping hand to guide them to their safe place.
