Speaker 1 (00:15):
Yay. Yeah, everybody, it's that time again. It's time for
drinks with d.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
D and John.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
That's me, Love you, Love you, Welcome back to the
United States.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
M hmm. Wo.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Coffee's hot and it's got a little boy band in it,
a little boy in it, Angels and me from our
friend Wes Wes Henderson.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Actually he doesn't known that company anymore ring Well, shoot,
but when we got that bottle.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
He did.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
But he does on the Kentucky Castle, which is amazing
he does.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
It's an amazing place, an amazing place.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
And since we just.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Left the land well I didn't really leave the land
of castles, but the land of in England.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Yeah, we didn't see any though.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
We didn't see any in them, but we saw like
the pubs and things.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
I mean, we had we had dinner in a place
the other night.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
I think that's been open since it was established in
eighteen o five.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
So you know over.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
There, when you happen on an old structure, it's an
old structure.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
You know. Here.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
I don't know if you remember the movie, remember the
movie Steve Martin did years ago. He was in at
La Stories and had he had picked up somebody at
lax and he was talking to them about giving him
a tour of Beverly Hills and he said, some of
these buildings are forty years old. My god, Yeah, forty
years just ain't what it used to be. Anyway, we're
(01:42):
back and we're watching watching the news. We had a
wonderful time in the UK. The show was great. The
people could not have been nicer, right, all the folks
at the hotel, and.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Yeah, I mean because I wasn't babler.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Thank you, Pablo.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Yes, it's wonderful. You know, some do you wonder how
a show will go. But people were O really nice,
O really polite. Uh and we had mentioned this last week,
but the Grits are quiet and orderly.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Yeah, I'll be right back.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Even the line at the show and it there's thousands
of people, like a mob, you know, a lot. We've
done that in the United States many times, so you
kind of never know how it's going to go. But
it was so quite quiet, a huge people. I looked
at John and you know, and I said, can you leave?
(02:33):
How quiet it is in here. It's like a convention center.
But it was great.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Well, they're even playing.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Like very dramatic music, classical music in the background.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
It was like, you know, a lot of places are
like red in a rumbo, you know that kind of that.
This was so everybody was.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
But we noticed as soon as we got in to
where do we land first, Manchester, that even when the
when the plane stopped, you know, here plane stops and
it's like a fury of people, everybody trying. Yeah, everybody
trying to get to the door first and get their
luggage out. And and but there it was like the
plane landed, you heard ding and.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
It was and you heard nothing. People were whispering or
not talking. I think we mentioned that last week, but
that continued to our trip just did.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Oh yeah, it was The pubs weren't really rowdy, Yeah,
not at all.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
I mean it wasn't like going to a sports bar.
Here we're so loud you can barely even hear yourself talk.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
But I think that's the point. They go there to talk, Yeah,
they do. They go there to having trenths, civilize, have
some food and.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Have a conversation.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
And here the way they design a lot of those
places and kind of the enemy of conversation. You know,
you've got the screens everywhere, so you try to look
at who you're there with. But you know, you got
somebody kicking a field goal or have you got something
going on where you have to pay hard to pay attention.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Yeah, the TV is loud, the music clouds. People are allowed.
It's America. Hello. It was okay, We're happy to be home.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
It was great to get back, but it was great
to be there. It is a little freaky for me
a couple of times when we were being driven around,
uh to the event from the hotel with the wheel
on the Yeah, my u my mind kicked in, like,
oh my god, you know we're gonna run, We're gonna
hit No, We're not.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
Going to hit somebody With the roundabouts. I'm not sure
what they called them, but it was a little weird
with the jarva being on the other side, on other
side of the road.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Oh, that's right.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Even the roundabouts, I think they go clockwise, we go counterclockwise.
I think they anyway. Thank god. I mean, I've only
done one time. I was in a where was I Australia.
I was in Australia long enough that I actually drove
while I was there, did a movie gosh, years and
years ago, and they drive on the l I'm not
(05:00):
going to say the wrong side because they say we
drive on the wrong side. We just drive on a
different side, the right side, the right side as opposed
to the left side. But I remember, I remember acclimating
to that there. And I'll tell you what was even
harder than acclimating to it there was I came back,
I flew into lax and then I got in my
(05:22):
car and I was totally confused about where to go.
So it was more strange for me to acclimate not
running a car.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Ever, No, and we didn't need to that. The Uber
worked it well over there, and the trains were amazing, lovely,
great service and just again.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
And also quiet, civilized and.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Quiet and training mind you. So yeah, we we I
felt we felt like the loud people. Well we are,
we are the loud people. But I was like, even
we toned it down a bit here and there.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
Yeah, yeah, I mean when I whispered after the plane landed, I.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Said, sounds like a librarian here. I got a couple like,
you know, it looks like some questions, some.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Questions people are asking or asking if they felt we
were safe. They also are asking if the food was good,
because there was like, oh, the food's terrible in England
and oh it's so say, did you feel like you
were going to, you know, be be assaulted or robbed
or whatever? And we only had like many five minutes
of being on a bridge that seemed a little dodgy.
(06:28):
We got off of that, no problem, yep.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Then when we did the cruise, I think we talked
about this, right, we talked about Did we talked about
the cruise or was that.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
I don't think so. I'm not sure.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Wednesday, I thought that was the night of our last Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
I'm still not sure. What day was amazing, Yeah, it
was really great. And we went down the Thames. Uh,
had really a terrific meal there as well. And there
was a cruise, yeah, the Virgin Virgin Thames River Cruise
dinner cruise. And there was a wonderful singer. I don't
remember her name, I've apologize, but she was singing like
(07:02):
standards and it's so interesting to me when somebody sings
like that and there's no accent whatsoever.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
She sounded like Billy Holliday. She was amazing. But then
when I talked to you know what I talked to
you she was very, very very very British and it was.
It was fun.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
We had the same experience way back when when we
were at France's tavern in New York.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
They had a trio there. I think we showed you
that on the podcast.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
And I thought this might be the same singer, the
same girl, but it wasn't.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
I said, had you sung in New York?
Speaker 3 (07:32):
She said no, I'd love to And I said, we
were just in a tavern in New York where this
amazing singer sounded like Billy Holliday and when she talked
she had a very what we would consider strong British accent.
And she said, no, I don't, but anyway, she was wonderful.
(07:54):
The wait staff on the cruise was terrific. We ventured
out on top of one time. It was a little chili.
That night we went ventured down on top as we
went under the Tower bridge.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
The one I everone thinksays London.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Bridge, right, But London Bridge I think actually is in
Lake Havasuit. I think somebody bought London Bridge and put
it in Lake Havasuit. Oh, put it at Lake have Asoup. Yeah.
So anyway, we had a great time and we have
from what I could tell, pretty much unwavering support, because
you know, the big the big news with regarding President
(08:31):
Trump and the BBC is that they went and now
I've finally seen it. They went and took his speech
on January sixth and cut it together intentionally in such
a way that it actually sounded like he was gathering
the troops to go and fight the White or fight
(08:52):
the new administration coming in. Yeah, the January sixth thing,
So in there in the BBC version of it, if
that was true, I would have said, I think d
Edie would agree, Well, if that was a mistake, you
shouldn't have said that. That can absolutely be construed as something.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
That is.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Inciting, inciting, But we all know he didn't say that
because we all saw it. So it was painfully obvious
how they made this edit. So just as CBS on
sixty Minutes made an edit to make Kamala Harris look
good and got their hands bank to the tune of
(09:34):
I think what was it fifteen or sixteen million dollars
quite a bit, yeah, a lot of money, the BBC
did the same thing actually within a statement by President
Trump or then citizen Trump, to make him look bad.
So I completely agree with President Trump when he said,
(09:57):
you know, this isn't like he didn't say, Look, I'm angry,
I'm pissed off, I'm gonna you know, I'm gonna get
the bastards. No, he said, look, I have an obligation
to keep them true to what it is they say
they are, which is journalists. They say they are journalists.
They must report the news as it happens. They must
not alter the news so that they they're not a
(10:20):
rag magazine.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
They're the BBC for crying out loud.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
So he's he's suing them, and they say, well, you know,
we'll apologize and we won't show it against the news there.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Oh yet I mean, as I kind of, they might
try to tamp it down.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Noe.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
That's all they were talking about. People were talking about,
oh Trump does trump that?
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Yeah, but they were saying, but what I heard was
BBC shouldn't have done that.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Agreed, you know we're not paying Nobody wanted to do.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Well, that's not up to you, Joe. You know, somebody's
going to tell you what you're going to pay and
how much. And we talked to a wonderful gentleman. Gosh,
I can't remember. I think it was our our friends
from from Ireland.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Anyway, and we had a big delegation come from Scotland.
They were amazing. I keep saying amazing, but everything was
We had such a.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
If we were over there, you know what you'd say,
brilliant brilliants. They were brilliant, bloody brilliant, bloody brilliant.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
But the delegation from Scotland was big. They drove like
seven and a half hours and they could not have
been nicer.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
On the other side of the road, from the other
side of the car.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
But the UK, the UK folks knew everything we were doing.
I mean, they're really up on Schneider World. And it
was fun. You know, it's fun to talk to about
own houses, what's going on, what about Madison And you know,
it was it was it was touching it away.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Yeah, I thought it was great.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
But one of them, it was somebody from the UK
that made this suggestion, why doesn't in lieu of the
of a billion dollar settlement. They suggested that Trump insist
that the that they hold a free and fair election.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
In the BBC in the next month.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
Now, I don't know, he can't obviously enforce that, but
he can say, look, I'm going to go after and
I've heard now it's between one and five billion dollars.
I'm going to go after between one and five billion dollars.
Or you can take what's behind door number two and
hold an election that's not a mail in ballot election,
that is an actual election.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
So we'll see what happens. Now. He hasn't said that.
This was just someone who mentioned it.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
To us, and I thought that'd be a great idea
because that would make the I think the United States
absolutely is the leader of the free world, but Great
Britain is right up there, and what they do affects
what happens in the rest of the world. They've got
a terrible immigration problem over there, and they have the
same argument that we have. There are there are they
(12:52):
don't call them liberals there? What are they they? So
there are people that are saying, no, this is unfair.
You can't force people to document who they are, where
they're from, same nonsense that we have here. And yet
you can't get a beer, you can't get a pint
unless you have I D So why what's the difference?
Speaker 1 (13:11):
So I don't I don't understand the difference.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Speaking of Pines, we had great mails there folks were
asking one of the British food is not supposed to
be very good, but we love we love the meat pies.
Oh my gosh, I don't get those over here. I
mean what you get like a Swanson pop pie or
here and there in a restaurant, there's a podcast. But
these were like gourmet meat pies. Again, I'm saying that
(13:38):
because it was just top of the top of our trip.
Could not have been better. I mean, there are no
complaints at all. Just you know, they're on top of things.
I mean, and all the folks that were serving food
or operating the trains and the planes and automobiles were
all just wonderful.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
They were fantastic.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
So what you like the meat I like those meat
pies we had. We had one night where we had
a meat pie sampler. I think there were four of them.
You took a picture. I took a picture, So a
meat pie sampler. But then at the restaurant of the
hotel where we were staying in Liverpool, they had an
Italian restaurant and an Italian they made their own pasta.
(14:21):
My gosh, it was good bron I've never had.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
And what was the name of that hotel?
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Oh inside inside and it's like an n oh, very clever, brilliant, brilliant.
But the pasta there was great. The food was great
in Liverpool. So if you're in Liverpool and all of
a sudden things are popping up, imagine that on my
Facebook from Liverpool. If you want some fantastic Italian food,
(14:49):
then go to the Inn Side Hotel and tell Pablo
that John and De d sent you.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
Pablo made a table side. We've got pictures of.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
That, yep. And the chef oh goodness.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
But also I don't want to sorry chef I have
for London because we had London was great too, wonderful time.
It was St. The Saint George at Travalgar Square and
they were wonderful. We had like a flat, we had
like a double uh decker. I guess like the buses.
I've got that in my mind because buses were everywhere.
I've never seen so many double decker buses.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
They were great.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
You at my entire life, and we did. When we're
in London pret few days it was non stop double
decker bucks.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
You can see him going by.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
I posted I we'll post it here again, but I
posted that twenty seven second trip on the London Eye
and you know it's a big it's a big kind
of Ferriss.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
Wheel with pods and which are huge.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
By the way, I think you could probably fit fifteen
people in one of those pots.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
That's about how many people there.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Yeah, it wasn't crowded at all, and they didn't stop.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
I mean unless you were like it had trouble walking.
You had to just jump on.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
It's going slow. Yeah, you gotta.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
Gotta jump on. It's kind of fun.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
So that was great show you that as we're talking
there it is, there is London, there's Big Ben.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Learn this about Big Ben.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
I've always considered the clock in that tower as being
Big Ben, or the the whole tower itself as being
Big Ben. But actually it's the bell inside that clock
tower that is really Big Ben.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
And we would hear it ring every time.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
About every hour, I'm thinking, and a lovely well.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
But point being, is it so loud that we were
all over London and d of heard out wherever we were.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Yep, and you down down down, dun bomb. It was amazing.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
And uh, that's the area where I'm not sure what
that that building is.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
That the Parliament. Hey kids, Big Ben Parliament. So it's parliament.
Look and they Scottland yarms right there too. Yeah, now
we're in the action packed area.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
We sure were. And uh and that's.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
The pub Sherlock Holmes.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
I was okay, we did. I liked it.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
I liked it that I did not like food wise,
because the cheese tasted like it was rotten.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
It wasn't rotten, it was just it was pungent.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
And I had a I had a like fish and
chips sandwich, and it was a little because it was
I thought it'd be like a filet of fish.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Pardon me. I thought it'd be like a flay of
fish sandwich. It wasn't.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
It was fish and chips, just on some in between
a couple of slices of Italian bread with some lettuce.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
It was a little hard to eat, so I just
ate the fish out of it. It was. It was
really good. But yeah, it was a cute little pub.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
And I had a I can't remember what you know,
when when I go to a place here, if I
ever have beer, I do don't really drink beer much anymore,
but I figured over there I should get a pint
pulled occasionally, and usually over here if I'm going to
have a beer.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
I asked for the most low.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
You know, because we like to support local everything, and
over there, you know, all the beer is pretty much local.
But it was really good. And contrary to popular belief,
it is not warm. The beer over there is not warm.
There is a kind of beer that you can get
that is warm. It's room temperature. But I thought it was.
(18:21):
It was so funny. Even on the plane when we
came back two days ago, the stewardess asked if I
would like ice with my wootap and I said yes.
And it came back and there was one cube of
ice in it, and I asked, maya police have some?
Speaker 1 (18:39):
Yeah? I like it. I know it's bad for my teeth,
but I chew on the ice and.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
I said, may I have some more ice? And she
brought me another cube put it in there. So I'm
not sure what it is. It's not like they don't
have refrigeration. There's ice makers everywhere, so I don't know.
I don't quite understand what that is. Maybe they don't
like to dilute their screen.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
They just feel so cold and went off the time.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Yeah, but it wasn't cold and wet till we got home.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
That's true. London was lovely.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
When we got back here to Madison, or when we
got into Cincinnati, it was cold. That was cold and
damp and everything that we had expected to get in
London and Liverpool and Manchester.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
But we only had one day while we were there
that was kind of kind of crazy doable sadly.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
That was our one day off in Liverpool, and it
was Friday before the show, so we were going to
do the Magical Mystery tour and we we we really
didn't bring anything.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
For that kind of way.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
It's the only day we needed it. You know, you're
probably saying, wow, you know you're going to London in November.
Of course you're going to the UK and November, of
course you needed to bring.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
A one to look at the weather and it was
cold up in Scotland, so we.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
Didn't get to go play golf. We did not go
play golf.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
We'll go back there, we are going back.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
I don't know how we would have had time really.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
To do that tough, but the weather just wasn't quite
it wasn't quite warm enough because it was cold and
went there no way. And then I said it started
snowing in the snow.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
Once one time. That was it horrible.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
We won't do it again.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Take that off the list.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
Speaking of that and the weekend the show, we had
some weird thing happened. We'd heard there was going to
be a General Lee there, and in fact there was
a General Lee there. It was over by the where
the wrestlers were, and where that fantastic train. I'm not
sure what the train was from, but it was huge.
And I asked the guy, how in the world did
you get that here? And he said, a piece of
(20:36):
a time in the back of my van. So he
assembles this monstrous train. I don't know if it's the
Harry Potter train or yeah, maybe it's. It's brilliant. It
truly is. It's brilliant. And it was right next to
the Bumblebee, the Yellow Camaro and Transformer from Transformers. But
the General Lee was sitting right there. And my understanding
(20:59):
was that during the weekend I was going to also
be taking pictures with the General Lee advertise, and they
advertise it and quite a number of people, a lot
of people said, hey, you know, we bought the picture
with you in the General Lee.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
When do we do that? I said, look, I have
no I have.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
No idea because the show was run perfectly, it was wonderful,
but somebody got in there. They had to have somebody
got in there who got their their nose out of
whack because of the general lee or because of me. Yeah,
but the car was still there, so they didn't ban
(21:36):
the car from the event, but they stopped the picture
taking part of it with me and the fans who
really wanted that. You know, people, people don't understand what
a bit well you do if you're in the UK.
People today over here, especially people who make their living
by by getting money from other people who actually work.
(21:58):
People like that don't understand the power of Dukes of
Hazard certainly then globally. I mean, there's a video, fantastic
video of the Dukes of Manchester where this guy's trying
to climb in the window.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
It's pretty funny.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
But the power of that show, or the popularity of
that show rather way back when and now is really
quite staggering. But somebody got in the middle there. I
think I know who it is because some initials kept
being battied about and they're always the same initials. And
we're going to have a talk with that gentleman and
(22:38):
make sure that this doesn't happen again.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
It's basically John does so well. He was busy the
entire time. So in a particular group, this person thinks
John takes money away, and he might be right, but
it's not his business and you shouldn't be trying to
cancel John all the time.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
So yeah, it's pretty sad, you know, but like I said,
this is the kind of person that makes money off
of other people's effort.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Anyhow, this too shall pass.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
But I want you to know if you had a picture,
you've got to it wasn't me, but you've got to
talk to the show because if they sold you a
ticket and then did not give you the opportunity to
redeem that ticket for a picture with me in the car,
then you got to take that up with them. Please
please do, because I want them also to know that
(23:26):
they listened to the wrong person.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Because what the what the comic.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
Cons are about? You know, there's there's two schools of thought,
and mine is right. I'm just going to tell you
mine is right. We are there for you, everybody, whether
we're on Smallville or Star Wars, or Dukes of Hazzard
or Doctor Who anything. We are there for you, So
it's about you when we're taking our pictures. If your
(23:53):
eyes were closed or you were we had one one
shot and the picture people were great. But there was
one picture early on where the woman was moving her
hair out of her face and I knew they took
a picture with her like that, and I said, we
have to take we have to take another one.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
And we did, absolutely did, and it was it was
perfectly fine.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
But I said, because they asked, oh you know, they asked,
that's who they asked. That's where that little bastard was standing,
pardon me behind the photographer because she turned and asked
this guy if it was okay to take another picture.
(24:32):
And I said, it's not about him. It's about this
young lady. She just got charged to take a picture
and she needs to make sure. We need to make
sure she gets a picture that she's happy with.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
It's not about him. I'm just now realizing who that was.
Shame on you, Shame on you.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Go watch somebody else play and yeah, leave me alone,
because I won't leave you alone, not anymore. Ah, please
say something before I say something I shouldn't.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
Well, thank you fans, because I'm telling you. I mean,
John was busy from the beginning to the end. John
never sits down. He always has conversations with the fans.
He's very good with them. But it was not stop,
you know, because you'll be at the table and then
(25:20):
the pay pictures.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
And the panel was great.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
The panel was oh yeah, they had this cute girl
that was playing the guitar and they were singing and
it was very somebody said it.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
Was very bad for co ed, but with three it
was great, was great.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
It's sent a very British it was. It was really cute.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
It was fantastic.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
And I tell you what if you have not, if
you've not experienced a comic con with Michael Rosenbaum, you
really you really need to because that is a funny guy.
My god, I used to call him rosen Clown.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Before we get into that too much. Brother, Oh sho
do the heck giveaway? And I love this. I always
say that, but I think this was kind of British
spitch flass.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Oh it is a little British.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
Velvet and it's got a yu at.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
That it's like Chiffy pop. It gets figured out.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Yeah, it's so cute. I love it, but it's easy
questions week.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
I do it every week and it doesn't fit this
week any any more than it's fit.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
Last week.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
So cute.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
There you go.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
But here's the question. Since we have the holidays coming up,
and believe me, we don't forget the Turkey. Next week
is Turkey week. But I am going to jump to
this Christmas question. Okay, in what state? It's the city
of Santa Claus. In in what state? There is a
Santa Claus And you can send letters to Santa Claus
(26:49):
from their post office. From the Santa Claus post office.
Oh that's great, But there's one Santa Claus maybe in
the world, but I know there's one in the United States,
and it's in this state.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
Where is it?
Speaker 2 (27:00):
And then if you if you're the first to get
the answer right, you will.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
Get this hatt. It really is a great hat, it
is it? It's got I mean you can tell look
at the look at can you see that? Yeah? Kind
of like a coat. You can tell if the coat
is good by its lining. You can tell if a
hat is good by its lining. This is a beautiful hat.
I think that's old. I think I think it's old.
I think it's nty fantastic. Okay, so what city? What
(27:28):
state is the city.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Of town of Santa Claus?
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Santa Claus?
Speaker 2 (27:35):
Santa Claus's Santa Claus, like Santa Claus the state. It'll
be great, right, it's a wonderful place. I'll put it
over here to make sure nothing happens.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
Have of it.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
Oh, I love all the hats, and I will say.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
This, what will you say?
Speaker 2 (27:57):
You can't in the UK? Here's I mean most some
people are really great, but sometimes people are very weird
and rried about me wearing hats. But oh, but there
I'm a rock star. They love it. They're all about
the hats over there. They're like, oh, Ded, we love
your style and we like to watcher up in every
week and and what you put on there, and it's
just just wonderful. You know. It couldn't have been more supportive.
(28:19):
We're here. I don't know where they're from exactly, but
they're like, well, why do you wear that at you?
Are you bald? Give me a break? Really?
Speaker 3 (28:27):
No, I'm not neither is he obviously, And by the way,
it's just my thing.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
Maybe later today, but certainly tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
But not super short.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
I think it's gonna be like uh, like Jim Cryer short. See,
we have this difference of opinion. I think that when
you're yeah, but when you're when my hair is so long,
all people see is hair.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
And that's okay in life.
Speaker 3 (28:57):
If I'm gonna be if, I'm gonna be well, But
I haven't had a chance to trim this, but I'm
gonna trim this back down again and then see what
it looks like having the shorter hair in the beard
and any of those combos. Yes, but I am an
actor and the problem with having this maine of insane
hair is that on camera, an insane Maine. On camera,
(29:22):
all you can see is the hair. And I was
just watching some of the haves and have nots, and
I've got the short hair, and you can see me think,
you can see me laugh, you can see me anger.
I mean, there's something about I think I remember it
might have been Denver Pyle would say, you know, this
is great on the Dukes, butwise other than this, don't
(29:42):
do it because the hair hides your skill, it hides
your acting ability, so or.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
It just hides your face.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
So I think I think we're going to try to
get in touch with the gentleman down the street here
and see if I can get my hair cut. And
if it's a little too short, it will obviously grow back.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
It's this that drives me crazy, you know.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
And it's only that long because DEDI picks on it
all the time like this.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
And what do I say, don't pick my.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
Frost one because you picked my fro all the day.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
It's so pretty. I like to touch it.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
Don't don't pick my fro, don't throw my fro, don't
throw my fro. Yo, don't throw yo.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
So this second we're going to go to Caran. And
what's fun about that is Caledonia is another uh name
for Scotland.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
For Scotland. Yeah, it's another name for Scotland. I'm not
sure that's the right accent.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
It might be it's I think, so well done.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
I'm not sure the difference between that's in Ireland. I
don't know. I know there is, I just don't.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
Know what it is Irish, But the Scotts sometimes know.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
No matter what time of day, bro gets.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Thicker and thicker and thicker. It's it's tough to.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
Oh, that's a great word. I haven't heard that word
a lot.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
The brogue a Scottish brogue, an Irish brogue, Scottish.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Brogue, the Irish you can well, and once it's Northern Ireland,
but they're all Scotts anyway. I think most of the
boy you're.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
Going to get letters about that one.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
No, honey, because the Scots came, I was a whole thing,
but they came on a northern island.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
There's a line. There's a line, but on that side.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
After you cross that border, it does get tougher to
understand folks. And I think when we go to Scotland,
when we go to the Highlands, it'll be hard as well,
but it'll be charming and it'll be wonderful.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
And we'll play some golf. We will. Let's see who
do we meet.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
We met a young, wonderful gentleman Ian who I kept
looking at him and had He had a jacket on
kind of similar to this, and I said, is that
an old friend or is that? Was that just you know,
some amazing new design. He said, no, it's an old friend,
and uh I was. I think, my gosh, I've worked
with this. I know this gentleman. This is a friend
(32:03):
of mine. And but we had never worked as we
introduced one another. We introduced ourselves to one another. And
he was on Downton Abbey and uh, as soon as.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
John said, I'm like yeah, that was sir, whatever his name.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
Was, he was the guy that.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Bastardly Uh, newspaper guy.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
Well, he used his He used his power strategically because
he he wanted, I don't know if you watched out
an abbey or not.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
If you don't, it's really pretty, it's spectacular.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
Marry He wanted to marry Mary.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
He wanted to marry Mary, for it was Mary. He
wanted to marry Mary.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
And uh, he didn't have any any dirt on her.
But someone came to the newspaper with some dirt on
her and he bought it so he could squelch it
so that she would be beholden to him. He didn't
say I'm gonna I'm gonna put the I'm gonna print
this and if you don't marry me.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
It was rather, look, I'm not going to Actually, they
may have.
Speaker 3 (32:57):
Come to him and said if you don't, if you
squashed this, then then Mary will marry you.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
I don't know. Anyway, he was wonderful.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
Uh and and uh, it was so funny because it
wasn't until we got I think, on the plane where
I looked him.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
I looked him up and I thought, oh my god,
that's he was only their Saturday. But he couldn't have
been could not possibly.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
Have been familiar. He looked like Richard Chamberlain.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Yes, but we remember we thought that when we saw.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
Him in that mabbe can I forget it? And I
was like, all right, that's the guy.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Yeah, yeah, we've been watching that. We're not quite done
and talk about hats. You want to see how to
wear hats?
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (33:33):
And the women in Downton Abbey always wear hats. You
know they are they are really done up. It's beautiful,
they're outside beautiful, beautiful hats. And the wardrobe in that
show is fantastic. And there's another show that the guy
that plays Thomas, who's such a delightful bad guy. Oh my,
he's go marmie. Smarmy I think is the word. It's like, yay,
(33:57):
you just want to wash your hands. But he's got
a a procedural show. It's not Tangle and Cash, but
it's two names kind of like that, where he's a show,
a cop show or an investigation, an investigation show, Bobby Show,
Investigation show, and it looks it looks fantastic. I hope
we get it here. If not, you know, we can
(34:18):
probably find it. I'll figure out what the name of
that is and we'll tell you next week. But it
was It was funny because as I'm doing the show,
I thought, gosh, it would sure be great to do
one of these shows with someone from Downton Abbey so
that we can tell them how impressed and what big
fans we are the show. And right there, I've been
talking to someone from Downton Abbey for ten minutes and
(34:39):
didn't realize it. So shame on me. Ian if you're
watching this, it might be I in because it's it's
like I a I A n e ian Ian. Anyway,
he was wonderful, but I did tell him to not,
under any circumstances put that jacket down because I will
take it. I think that's how I got this one.
(35:01):
Not kidding, Oh I'm kidding. I've had this coat a
long long time. But that was great fun. We saw
the gentlemen from Star Wars, right.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
Boy Jega, I think you said the last name mm
And it's just a happy group and the people. But
it was really the people, the fans and the guests
that were the stars in the show.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
I think, oh, absolutely, they were wonderful.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
They were just polite and sweet and grateful, appreciative. You know,
I can't go but I didn't realize there's going.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
To be that way, but it really was, and so gracious,
you know, and so orderly because they but efficient at
the same time.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
You know, a lot of times people will will follow
the rules, you know they have there's a Q and
then and and uh. But a lot of times following those.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
Rules, yeah, or they slow things down, but not here.
Speaker 1 (35:55):
It was it was just like that. Our assistant was wonderful.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
And we had people from Scotland, we had people from
a lot of people from Spain, which.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
I found fascinating. Yeah, it was.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
It was really great and it was terrific to see
Tom Welling. It was terrific to see that. I spent
some time with Aaron who played Jimmy Olsen. I never
had the chance to really chat with him before. And Eric,
who was Whitney in the beginning, was fantastic. We had
a ball, We had a ball and it was so
great to see how not just respectful, how what Smallville
(36:36):
and Dukes of Hazard mean to people, mean to the
folks who grew up watching them. A lot of people
came up to me in tears, you know, because on
Smallville I didn't last past season five until I came
back as a an apparition or a ghost or an angel.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
I'm not sure which in the end, but it really is.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
It's great, all these years later to find out how
important I mean truly Smallville and Dukes as well. They
weren't just something people watched on television. These shows became
part of people's lives. And I'm very proud, very honored
to have been part of the shows. But I'm really
(37:24):
proud and honored to be part of your lives. That
really makes that makes all this stuff worthwhile, Not that
it's work. You know, people say I love your work,
and I said, you've been watching me play for forty
five years, and thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
Well, you love your work. It's never worked.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
Right, never work a day.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
In your life, and a lot of people is very touching.
This happens every show, and maybe even more so at
this one, Like, thank you so much for being such
a great father figure. I did not have a father,
or did not have a good father or a loving father,
so they just thought of John right, or I.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
Lost my father.
Speaker 3 (37:57):
Yeah, I think a lot of times people, you know,
you grow a callous, you lose somebody, you grow a callous,
and then a show like Smallville, I think, kind of
kind of pulls that callous away a little bit and.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
Opens your heart up to other things.
Speaker 3 (38:13):
And I see that every time I go to a
small Ville event or anytime somebody comes up talks to
me about Smallville, it's always about that, and that really
makes me very very happy.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
And that people appreciate John's music, you.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
Know over there a lot.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
Yeah, because we've talked about how people always think of
just Bo Duke, which Johnson a million other things, and
he's very grateful for that. But we wanted to this
year push the music and it's been working because we've
been doing more concerts and working on more music, and
people over there knew all about it.
Speaker 3 (38:45):
Yep, they did. It was really great. So we brought
some music like truck On. A bunch of people got
truck On, A bunch of people got the greatest hits,
A bunch of people got stand on it. They said
that they weren't able to get it elsewhere. So they
got that to die for. They got that.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
It was really really great.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
Everybody was was very interested.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
In all of the things that we brought.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
Oh, speaking of stuff like that, we just have I'm
about to we get done with the podcast. We have
two Christmas cards that Luke, not that Luke, our Luke
is offering through John Schneider Studios at John Schneider dot shop.
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to
(39:28):
sign all these right inside here, and then if you'd
like to purchase one to give to someone else, then
by all means do here's the here's the uh. In
order to make this happen in time, I'm going to
sign these here and then send them back to Luke,
(39:48):
and then when you purchase them, they will come to you.
So my autograph and signature is not going to say
to Sally, Merry Christmas. It's going to say Merry Christmas,
John Schneider. Okay, So you're going to have to put
in the to whomever the card is for yourself.
Speaker 1 (40:06):
Well, we have two. We've got h have yourself an.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
O one Christmas right there, and then of course we've
got the general Lee out in front of the barn.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
All done up. Uh, and I think that's that's pretty
pretty great.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
Doesn't show Christmas cards? John's doing singing Christmas cards.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
Oh the Christmas gram Christmas.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
Grahams, and a lot of people have ordered them, but
there's only so much time before Christmas, so get them
in now, and then you gonna say, oh, here's a
unique Christmas present, and it's a message from John to
your friend there, to your.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
Daughter or to like if you're if you were a
d D and you ordered it, and then she'll probably
be singing out but it would be d E. The
red nose reindeer had a very shiny nose and if
you ever so, it's a fun thing to be able
to get to send to one of your loved ones.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
So it'd be great. Get it. It's called a Christmas Gram.
You spell it like a Graham crack no g r
a m.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
Telegram like telegram, singing telegram right Christmas.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
And a couple of songs that choose from uh, and
we'll we'll slip your name in there and it's kind
of cute, it's kind of fun.
Speaker 1 (41:11):
We sold a bunch of them this week. Uh.
Speaker 3 (41:13):
So those I actually do on my phone, and I
send them to Luke and then Luke sends them to you,
and as they say over there.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
Then you know Bob's or Uncle Sally's are in done.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
And all the cards you can get where John.
Speaker 3 (41:24):
Schneider dot shop we'll put we'll have that run across
here and put it in the description below.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
See. I like those because that's for people who have everything. Well,
they don't have that.
Speaker 1 (41:36):
You don't have that, and you don't have this hat.
Speaker 3 (41:38):
You don't have this little hat Christmas note right, you
don't have the singing Christmas Graham.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
I guess if you want to do different Thanksgiving her
New Years, she could probably forgure it out.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
But for now, Christmas right right, right.
Speaker 3 (41:50):
Right, we're just watching this morning. Getting back back to
politics just a little bit. I know what else are
we going to talk about right now?
Speaker 2 (42:00):
A thing?
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Okay, thank go for it.
Speaker 2 (42:04):
Well, I can talk about how pretty Madison is, absolutely
and how our travel has been amazing. I said it,
what for the eighteen time amazing And also John July
playing a lot more of his guitar means getting up. Gosh,
we're just getting so many requests for music, and I
love it because that was something we really didn't want
to push this year.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
Yeah, we didn't want to push this year.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
Yeah, it is again the fifty state tour and we
are getting through them. At the end we're probably going
to be running and gunning. But yeah, but any of
you have suggestions for places to go in your state,
even it was not the state you live in, and
you're like, oh, yeah, this is like a great place
to celebrate now patriotism, or maybe it's just like something
(42:50):
that's in Wyoming. Well, this is very Wyoming. You know
you should come here. This is where this happens, where
that happened, and you all are giving great suggestions, but
please keep them coming because as our schedule changes, so
do the opportunities to go to different places. Right we're
in November, We've got through January fourth to get through
(43:10):
all the states, and we do have summer morning get
through July fourth. July fourth, yes scared me.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
We got the January that.
Speaker 2 (43:20):
We we taking plans everywhere.
Speaker 3 (43:22):
So we're gonna do Missouri this weekend because we're going
to Caledonia and Catherine is doing fine.
Speaker 1 (43:29):
Catherine is doing fine. She's at home. She can't travel
right now.
Speaker 3 (43:32):
So there was one time when it was just going
to be at Caledonia. There was a time was going
to be all three of us. There was a time
it was going to be two of us. Now it's
going to be me against kind of back to the
way it started. So but Catherine is fine. I know
you're going to ask me that when you come to Caledonia.
I say that last week my piano player broke his
finger at Billy Bob's doing that. But so it's going
(43:55):
to be me, bring your stuff, going to have a great,
great time. The people there could not possibly nicer either.
You know, car people are just I think very special.
People got a new car, got a new old car.
And it's specifically for the Earls of Perry. I've been
writing on the plane. I was writing some Earls of Perry.
(44:16):
I don't really type that fast, but I like to
make you think I do.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
Typewriter.
Speaker 2 (44:22):
I love the color of it, but John's going to
paint it.
Speaker 3 (44:25):
Yeah, it's not going to stay green right now. It's
kind of kind of British racing green.
Speaker 1 (44:30):
Yeah. Problem with a green car though, is if you
put it.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
Out there in the woods and it's driving by on
a dirt road, the woods are green.
Speaker 1 (44:37):
You can't see it.
Speaker 2 (44:37):
Of course you're going to do orange, but I love
the color.
Speaker 1 (44:39):
I don't know. I might do orange, I might do gray,
I might do well.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
I say what it is, but I'm just going to
tell you, and I know people are like, oh, you
got to tell us now we we'll tell you if
it happens. But John is up for a huge part
in a big show, so we'll see what happens. Isn't
that nice? People love you, honey, not as much as
I do, but they love you.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
They do, they do, They do well.
Speaker 2 (45:08):
When we were over there in here too, but the
parents make sure and pass along the tradition, and the
kids they they know. It's above. Dude, it's Jonathan Kent. Yeah,
it's paw Kent.
Speaker 1 (45:20):
It's pretty great, Yeah, pretty great, Yeah, paw Kent. Pretty funny.
Speaker 2 (45:24):
Yeah, you hear a little bit of everything, but not
in a loud way. There are just us. And then
we come back home and it's just different. You go
to a bar or you go to a restaurant and
it's just loud. It just feels loud.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
Sure, there could be three people at a bar here
and it's.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
Loud, loud, and we're we're we're with a loud of
people too. Well one of us is, oh, yeah, it's
only me.
Speaker 1 (45:49):
I didn't say that, one of us. Yeah, one of us.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
So it did work out a little bit today, just
so you know.
Speaker 1 (45:57):
We came back and the I did my plank.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
It wasn't working that great, but we did a little
bit of it, but you did.
Speaker 1 (46:04):
Your I reset it. Yeah. We have a kind of a.
Speaker 3 (46:07):
Stair stepper, a Bowflex stair stepper machine, a total total
body stair stepper.
Speaker 1 (46:12):
Machine on the back porch, and I got it working.
So it just kept stopping. I don't know why, but it.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
Gives you the tour around the world, so that's kind
of fun. I did my electric suit, the electrocution suit.
I did the electrocution suit to keep cutting out.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
It only cut out once. It only cut out once. Yeah,
so it was fine. And I did my planks I
saw on YouTube. You know, if you're after a certain age,
you know, if you do planks for six minutes a day,
here's what will happen to your body. It was pretty
accurate because they talked about how you know, at first
you break it up in six one minute planks, and
(46:52):
then you break it up into three two minute planks
and you know, you.
Speaker 1 (46:57):
Figure it out as you go.
Speaker 3 (46:58):
But so this morning I did a four minute plank
and a two minute plank. And way back when when
I was doing p and iet X, I could do
I could do a plank and watch a movie. I
mean it was I don't know where that course strength went,
but it's coming back because the first day I did this,
and they said, the first day you do it, a
minute is going to seem like forever and it's going
(47:18):
to get easier as long as you keep doing it
after day.
Speaker 1 (47:21):
Well they were right.
Speaker 3 (47:23):
Because I could barely do a minute at a time
a week ago when I started, and this morning I did.
The first one was four minutes. Now the last thirty
seconds was very hard and shaky, but I did it,
and it really helps. It helps your overall fitness to
do planks, to do squats, to do stuff that you
can do without having to carry weights around. And I
(47:46):
did that because I didn't want to bring my electrocution
suit over the water because I and I'm so glad
I did this.
Speaker 1 (47:55):
Are you glad? Are you glad that we didn't have
any check bags?
Speaker 2 (47:58):
Yes, I was carrying a bit bag than John. But
this time I took carry on just like he did,
and I wore a lot of black. Yeah, and we
did send out for laundry ones. But yeah, it work.
We've been at work. But John is the best folder
in the world. He can take address that's got a
lot of material to it and it's like this big
by the time you're done. He's just really a good folder.
(48:20):
He watches videos.
Speaker 3 (48:21):
I think we would lost the chance with all the
stuff that was going on when we left. The government
was still shut down when we left.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
So finally that we're getting on and off trains and everything,
that would have been a pain.
Speaker 3 (48:32):
It really would have been a pain. So it was great.
Thank you for thank you for doing that. I know
it was not easy. And when when we got checked
in in uh, I guess we're in Manchester and they
checked our bags and I had just packed them and
I told that the guy wanted to open Dedi's carry
on bag and I said, be careful, it's like that
(48:54):
thing of biscuits, and he said, you open it. He
was very funny, he was He knew Dukes, he knew
small Bill, he knew.
Speaker 2 (49:00):
Us like he goes, where's d you know what I mean.
I mean they follow what we're doing over here.
Speaker 3 (49:07):
And so I opened her bags, I pressed the thing
and went like that and it was fine. But yeah,
I'm so glad we did that. Learn how to pack,
by the way, you know, there are things on YouTube
that can teach you how to pack, even suits. You
can pack a whole suit and take it out and
it won't be wrinkled. It's pretty pretty fantastic.
Speaker 2 (49:26):
I mean, anywhere. I cannot even believe how Flawa sture was.
Speaker 3 (49:30):
We had the one that one delay go well. We
had delays in the right spot. We had delays either
side of a well on the way there. The delay
didn't matter to us because we had a long Security
was easy.
Speaker 2 (49:43):
We literally just put our passport down and it connected
the ETA.
Speaker 1 (49:47):
Done.
Speaker 2 (49:48):
I'm like, did we do everything?
Speaker 1 (49:51):
Yeah, I kept waiting to see a.
Speaker 2 (49:52):
Line we missed something, and then we came back easy too,
not the same.
Speaker 1 (49:56):
Thing, Yeah, no problem.
Speaker 3 (49:58):
I came through the USA thing because now they have
facial recognition software. You know, if that freaks you out,
you know, welcome to the picture and you know, well
I've got these these things up.
Speaker 1 (50:08):
Yeah, it's bang bang bang, Okay, what we do want.
Speaker 2 (50:12):
What we do want is we keep we're starting to
get more and more requests for international work. So what
we want to make it globe white honey play, yes, play.
So we want to go for a global.
Speaker 1 (50:25):
Entry, so that will be Oh, we have to sign
up for that.
Speaker 2 (50:28):
Yeah, I think you just sign up online because they said, wow,
it takes a little while for it to go through
all the paperwork or whatever or to run the traps,
but we want to do that. That'll make it a
lot easier.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
Yep. Absolutely have to do that.
Speaker 3 (50:39):
Recommend that if you travel, sign up for clear, sign
up for TSA, pre sign up for all that stuff,
because you just never know. When you get to an airport,
you could have nobody in line, or you could have
an hour and a half or longer in line.
Speaker 1 (50:52):
So sign up for those things and then you get
to go.
Speaker 3 (50:55):
You get to go quicker. I prefer to drive, but
you can't drive to the UK from here, so.
Speaker 2 (51:00):
But I I'll take the ship. At some point.
Speaker 3 (51:02):
Well, we're going to do a Smallville, the Smallville or Cruiseville.
Speaker 1 (51:06):
Cruiseville is going to be fun. Yep.
Speaker 2 (51:08):
That's next year. I think like end of July, beginning
of August. I think.
Speaker 3 (51:14):
I saw quite a few people over in uh in
Liverpool that are going to be on that.
Speaker 1 (51:19):
Yeah, so that was great. Nine minutes left. I do
have to talk.
Speaker 3 (51:23):
I do have to talk a little bit about this
because I keep watching Gavin Newsom talk about, uh, you know,
waving the victory flag because they've got some judge somewhere
to tell Governor Abbott in Texas that that redistrict redistricting
because of population, or redrawing lines because of the census,
(51:44):
or redrawing lines is not fair and unconstitutional. He says
that with this hand on this side of his mouth,
and then on this side of his mouth, with this hand,
he brags about how they are redistrict redistricting. I can't
say it redistricting the state of California. So why is it?
Why are you celebrating that you can do it? I mean,
(52:07):
I understand why, but how can you How can you
possibly show your face publicly while you're saying this is
wrong and it's terrible and it's a threat to democracy,
while at the same time you're doing it in your state?
Why do they continue to believe that it's okay, free
and fair?
Speaker 1 (52:25):
Dare I say, for them to have it both ways.
Speaker 3 (52:30):
I don't understand it, and I don't understand anyone who
is buying into his nonsense. I just don't get it.
So if it's okay for you, then it's okay for us.
And both sides have been doing it since the beginning
of our time here, and it's kind of what you do.
So so I don't I don't understand why anyone's letting
(52:51):
him get away with it, let alone, anyone is touting
him as being some you know, a be all end
all because he's done such a great job with California.
Speaker 1 (53:00):
He let all.
Speaker 3 (53:01):
Those homes burn down, he hasn't done squat about making
sure these people can get permits and rebuild.
Speaker 2 (53:07):
And fact come up about that today about how it
something smells about it. So we've been right the entire time.
Speaker 3 (53:14):
Well yeah, and you say, how do you say that
what they did there was a landgrad Explain that?
Speaker 2 (53:21):
Well, I mean, think about it. I mean, if your
house burns down and the whole neighborhood is just obliterated,
well you've got to go on with your life. You've
got kids, you've got you know, it takes a while
to get back. Insurance and they're finally goes, oh, forget it,
just buy us out and leave because it's too hard.
So that's what they're doing, allegedly, But it's coming out
more and more and more. And what we've seen this
(53:43):
in the last year under the Trump administration is people
are being found up that they're like taking money from
the USAID and that train to nowhere in California. I mean,
it's run rampant in California, gat Newson and supposed to
trial for that. It's terrible. And we've even got drawm
in Indiana. I mean, you know, we want to redistrict
here too, but we've got a couple of senators holding
(54:06):
it up. Weren't the governor once at the House budted
it in, But we've got a couple. It's not good.
So yeah, a lot of people in Indiana are not
happy about that. Yeah, And it's you know, look, whenever
you add districts, it's a big deal because it basically
sways the power. No, meaning like you've got born thirty
(54:27):
five people in Congress. Well, if Caliburnia has ten more districts,
well guess what that changes everything.
Speaker 3 (54:35):
And it's going to continue to give power to the
densely populated areas more power to the densely populated areas
than then to the rest. Yeah, that's what they do.
So that kind of ignores the agriculture folks. It ignores
the farmers, it ignores the ranchers, it ignores.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
When we're republics all those folks.
Speaker 3 (54:51):
Yeah, we are a republic. They keep saying we're a democracy.
We're not a democracy. We're a republic. We're a constitutional republic.
Speaker 2 (54:58):
So all Americans to be representative, right, and.
Speaker 3 (55:01):
We're still griping and pisson and moaning about mom represents
Mom donn and he's I keep seeing things where he
is saying things that are making people who voted for
him go say, well, maybe.
Speaker 2 (55:15):
We can't do that.
Speaker 3 (55:16):
Okay, Yeah, well you know, I really don't have the
power to do that. What they're keeping me from doing that? No,
you never had the ability to do that in the
first place. So we talked about that last week. You know,
when somebody gets up there and promise you, promises you
all these things, make sure in your research that they
actually will have the power or the authority to try
(55:37):
to act on those promises should they win.
Speaker 2 (55:39):
Oh, I just have to talk about.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
What we've got, oh five minutes ago and now.
Speaker 2 (55:43):
But Bobby Bones, I mean, when John talked about Bobby Bones,
it went viral. So John was on Dance with the
Stars and now Honey take it away.
Speaker 1 (55:56):
So they had their their anniversary twentieth or fortieth.
Speaker 3 (55:59):
I'm not sure we were gonna go, yeah, but that
uh scheduled, so we we we couldn't go. I'm sorry, Dina.
It was was gonna be great. Well, somebody apparently asked
Tom bergeron h if he had there are any surprises
during it, and he said he was surprised. Now I
have not seen this, but I've read it that he
(56:21):
was surprised that Bobby.
Speaker 2 (56:22):
Bones won, but everybody was. I mean I didn't watch the.
Speaker 1 (56:25):
Show, including and I was there.
Speaker 2 (56:27):
But now everybody says, well, yeah, nobody thought he should win.
Speaker 1 (56:30):
So Bobby then.
Speaker 3 (56:35):
Says, well, I was treated so poorly on that show
that I gave my I even sent my Disco Ball
award back.
Speaker 2 (56:41):
Treated so badly that he won treated.
Speaker 3 (56:44):
And I was there. Everybody who was there, including Bobby Bones,
thought he should not have won. And I thought that
was very gracious that night because we looked at him like, dude,
what just happens.
Speaker 1 (56:58):
I don't know, but this is great. I got to,
you know, So.
Speaker 3 (57:01):
He was among those who were surprised, like Tom Bergeron,
was that Bobby Bones won until now.
Speaker 1 (57:09):
And I don't know if his show is failing.
Speaker 3 (57:10):
I don't know what, because any time I talked to people,
I gotta be honest with you, Bobby, and that's okay,
because I'm sure nobody you know knows now I'm not
sure that. But anyway, so I got in there and
I defended Tom Bergeron and I defended Dancing with the
Stars because I said, you know, only one thing worse
(57:31):
than a sore loser, and it's a sore winner. And
what that's what Bobby has been. And I don't know
if it's if it's bumped up his viewership or or
what it's done, but I don't care. That's just not right.
Milo should have won. I believe Milo should have won,
and I believe everybody on the show that night was
an agreement that Milow.
Speaker 1 (57:52):
Was unbelievably amazing.
Speaker 3 (57:54):
Here's a guy that was I think he was seventeen
eighteen at the time, what four six foot five, you know,
and it's hard for people that tall to be to
be graceful.
Speaker 1 (58:07):
He turned into Fred Astaire. He was a delight and
absolute delight to watch. So anyway, that's all the time
we have. We got to go. We're already into the hour. Okay,
what'd you want to say?
Speaker 2 (58:20):
No, just that everybody thought he was a better dancer,
but they thought you were a great dancer.
Speaker 1 (58:24):
No, no, no, no, I was. You know, I know. And
you know that's the thing.
Speaker 3 (58:28):
If I'd gone on there and said, you know, Bobby Bones,
you shouldn't have won, I should have won, No, I
would never say that, because that's not true.
Speaker 1 (58:34):
I went to defend Tom.
Speaker 3 (58:36):
I went to defend Dancing with the Stars, who, also,
by the way, are the same production company that do
the Mass Singer, So I defended them. Bobby had some
deal before he did Dancing with the Stars on ABC,
so I think ABC kind of looked at Bobby kind
of turned their head a little bit at his shenanigans.
(58:56):
But he was absolutely not treated poorly on that show.
Speaker 1 (59:00):
He won. Anyway. Anyway, you all take care of this.
Has been drinks with Jet and John. That's me all right.
Speaker 3 (59:11):
We'll see you next love you too, We'll see you
next week. Keep your eyes open. For stuff and let
us know where you think we should go in your
state or your favorite vacation spot Caledonia.
Speaker 1 (59:24):
Okay, that's all the time we have. You take care
of yourselves. Ah bye bye
