Welcome to Duke Loves Ralston. How you doing fellas?
How? You doing, Duke?
We're doing pretty good. We're doing pretty good.
Can't complain. Listen man, this is this is
pretty cool. You guys are making your debut
(02:41):
at legitimately the the the biggest pro wrestling convention
in the history of Florida and per capita one of the most
successful wrestling conventionsalive today.
Talk to me about that. Talk to me about the fact that
you're going to be at River CityWrestling Con and really what
fans can expect from you. Well, we're very excited for the
opportunity. I mean, we've been following
(03:02):
this wrestling Commission, RiverCity Wrestling Commission for,
for a few years now. And we've been since we've been
freelancing, we've always been wanted to be a part of it.
And, and this year, finally we got the opportunity to, to be a
part of it. I mean, it was last minute, but
hey, sure enough, we'll be thereand, and excited to meet the
fans and, and, and, and be able to answer some questions, sign
some autographs and just hang out and mingle and see the boys,
(03:23):
man. Yeah, we're pretty stacked.
I mean, we looked at the card ofall the all of all of good
friends that are going to be there and I'm talking about the
wrestlers and we said, hell, we got to be a part of this man.
I love that. I love that.
I mean, one of the things about you guys, man, that I, I've
always respected is just the fact that yes, you are rough and
tumble wrestlers. You came up to Puerto Rico.
(03:44):
You know how to, if you got to put your foot up somebody's ass,
you're going to do it. You, you know, you'll bleed
sweat, pay the price and, and all that good stuff.
But at the same time, you guys are good guys, man.
And, and, and the fans truly appreciate meeting you because
you're fun loving guys. It's always a good time when
you're around. I'll, I'll start with with, with
Primo on this one. Talk to me just about that
(04:05):
reputation of, of being, you know, genuinely good guys who if
you got to turn on the the nastiness, you will.
You're you're you're you like Aaron, She was saying.
You asked me. Excellent, excellent question.
I read the song. Yeah, man.
I mean, I'm, I'm, we're we're next guys to a point.
But you know, if you're pushing the wrong buttons then we'll put
(04:26):
a mud hole in the asshole. Load that epico.
Wait what? What's the deal man?
I mean are are are you the nicest one or are you the
meanest 1? I, I am, they call me, they
call, they call my cousin Carlito the back cop and people
the back cop, but I'm the, the, the under undercover.
Cop I'm I'm I'm a good cop. My brother Carlito's the bad
(04:46):
cop. And the cover cop?
And, and my my, my cousin Orlando is undercover cop.
OK, you know, this could be likea whole TV show here the way you
guys are talking CSI, you need to reach out to the Cologne
family, man. We might get something going on
here, You know, I. Love.
It now, now listen, a little birdie told me and I guess we're
going to, we're going to break some exclusive news on this
(05:10):
Saturday, June 7th, 7:00 PM at the Bellagio Lounge inside the
Renaissance Resort. I hear you guys are going to be
at the lounge having drinks, having some food, watching the
Money in the Bank pay-per-view with with whoever shows up and
what have you are. Are we going to be having a big
party going on at the lounge then?
(05:31):
Yes, this is this is this is a side note.
We're great in the ring. We most of the fans know us for
for a performance in the ring. But behind the scenes the boys
know us for the parties we throwon the back of the bus when we
those on those long European tours.
So this Saturday at the after party, the fans might get to see
a little bit a little bits and pieces of us doing what we
(05:52):
actually do with the boys in theback.
And that's throwing it back, having a couple brews and
telling some good stories. I love that.
I love that. I mean, that's what I'm talking
about, folks. This is exactly why you want to
be at the River City Wrestling Con June 7th and 8th.
It's it's all going down during the day, but this special deal
here where you can hang out withthese guys at the watch party,
(06:17):
Bellagio Lounge inside the Renaissance Resort, you
definitely want to be there. You get to meet the Cologne
brothers here and then have a good time.
I'm telling you right now, listen fellas, I know that
you're bouncing around and having a good time out there in
the wrestling scene. It's amazing the fact that
you've built up such a legendarycareer that you can afford to
(06:37):
not have to stay in one place all at once.
You know, you can kind of spreadyourselves out there or get to
see the fans all over the world.Where can we expect to see you
next throughout 2025? Well, right now we're just doing
our stuff in, in, in Puerto Rico.
Primo's doing a lot in WWC and up here in the States, we're
working a lot with N.W.A and you'll see us probably here and
(06:59):
there in TNA and, and, and any independent Russian company
near, near you. That is awesome.
That is awesome. In fact, you know what?
We'll, we'll, we'll start with you, Primo, let everybody know
what's the best way they can keep up with you online and all
that good stuff. And especially if anyone wants
to reach out and, and, and get some business done, what's the
(07:20):
best way they can reach out to you?
The best way is by reaching out to my cousin every go I I happen
to be what they call a dinosaur.I I don't have any social media
presence as is just 'cause I guess I'm a little too old
fashioned. All right, I'm going to call you
the man. Yeah, he's the man.
He's the man. I, I, I don't want to be me too,
(07:41):
or cancel or cancel for, for treating something, you know, at
2:00 AM. So I I restrained myself from
from avoiding that. A man that knows his limits.
I love that. Exactly.
Yeah, yeah, I stay in my lane. I I know who the good cop is
now, Epico. What's the deal brother?
How can people keep? In touch with you for any, for
any questions or information about, you know, contacting us
(08:04):
and getting, getting, you know, doing business with us.
My Instagram and Twitter is at the Orlando Cologne and my
e-mail is ocbookings@yahoo.com. Awesome, awesome.
Again, listen, you guys, man, thank you very much for all
you've done for the sport of professional wrestling and all
(08:25):
you've done for the fans. Man, you, you really have given
us some of the best tag team matches that we've seen over the
past 1520 years and it it's special.
So thank you, thank you, thank. You and last, last, but I, I
really want to push this strong 'cause I just want everybody
who's listening to pay a visit to our table because we were
(08:47):
able to get a + 1. So we got a special guest that's
going to be there in an unofficial capacity, but he
would like to meet, meet the fans and I think they'll get a
real, real kick out of it. It'll be something pretty pretty
cool to see. Definitely.
OK, we got a teaser going on here, folks.
Another reason why you got to beat the River City Wrestling Con
(09:07):
at the Cologne's table. They got a special guest that
they're bringing along. Who could it be?
Who could it be? Once again, fellas, thank you
very much. We can't wait to see if the
River City Wrestling Con. Thank you.
Thank you for having us see you there.

(10:32):
tardes and Augusta, Florida. Hey everyone, my name is Heather
Da Cuero. I'm a singer-songwriter,
producer and you're listening toDuke Loves Roslin.
Brothers and sisters, you know, again, we're celebrating the 9th
anniversary, the Duke Loves Wrestling podcast and I'm
(10:56):
celebrating all year for the next 12 months.
I'm going to keep beating the drum as we March to the 10 year
anniversary, which is going to be crazy. 10 years of
podcasting, can't imagine it, man, So fun, so awesome.
And, and you wonderful listeners, you know that you
tune in to hear pro wrestling legends, to hear up and coming
(11:19):
wrestlers of today and and also to hear the young kids who are
just breaking into the business and and just graduating out of
wrestling school. That's primarily the focus.
We also have our MMA stars that we have on the show, of course,
but you know that I can't be putin a box, which is why we'll
have people from the NBA, you know, Mateo Mayorka and, and,
(11:41):
and the Hall of Fame journalist Peter Vessey.
We'll have NFL folks, we'll haveNHL folks.
We've had an astrobiologist who literally has an asteroid named
after her doctor, Lucien Wukovich.
So I can't be put in the box. I love to have people from all
walks of life come on the show and, and share the knowledge
(12:04):
that they've gathered in life because you never know who's
listening and there's not a single person listening right
now. That is just one way.
We all have diversity in our interest.
So I came across a a singer-songwriter, producer,
international woman of mystery, and I was just so taken by her
(12:26):
talent that I had to just let her know, Hey, man, you you're
doing a fantastic job and I lookforward to, you know, seeing
your growth. Those, that's the Cliff notes
of, of some of the conversationswe've had.
And over time, we've been sharing music with each other
and talking about music theory and things like that.
And she's really, really a special person.
(12:47):
So I figured, you know what, let's have her on the show.
Let's introduce her to the audience.
And, you know, hopefully somebody can learn something
from her journey #1 and #2 I want you folks to experience her
music. So this is somebody that is Duke
approved. I want you to start following
her and, and and listening to her stuff, sharing it and let's
(13:07):
take this journey together, folks, because I'm telling you
right now, our guest is a superstar already and she is on
the climb. Everyone will know her name in
the not too distant future. That's my prediction.
So without further ado, welcome to Duke Loves Wrestling HDC
Heather Del Cuerto. How you doing there, Heather?
(13:29):
Man, thank you Duke, that was such a nice and humble
introduction. I feel so, like I said, honored
for the experience and I appreciate you even having me
and believing in me and my storyand wanting to hear what I have
to share. So thank you for, you know,
(13:49):
doing this podcast and sharing not only me, but everyone else
and everyone that interests you with the world.
I think that that's a beautiful thing.
Well, you know, we can't get in the way of God's plan.
And that's the main idea. You know, when God put certain
people in your life, no matter how long or how short they're
there, you know, there were a lot of people were here for a
(14:11):
reason. So I love music so much.
I love storytelling so much thatI always get excited when I find
somebody who is putting out something that I can relate to
that makes me think that's interesting.
And you check all those boxes, you know, so having you on the
show and, and, and allowing my audience to hear from you for
(14:33):
the first time, that's a bonus. So let's start from the top
here. How does it feel to be someone
who's really a you're not a Jackof all trades.
You're a Jane of all trades. You write your music, you
perform the music, you produce it like you're you're doing
everything. I'm trying.
I'm trying for sure. I think that you give me a lot
(14:55):
more credit, but you know, I'm just taking a day by day it, it
can be an overwhelming process. I've only, I've always played,
you know, music's been a big part of my life since I was a
little kid. And I, I've told you, you know,
it was part of growing up, but Ididn't really start making my
own music until the end of 2023.And then I started learning my
(15:20):
program just last year. So I'm taking it, you know, step
by step and I'm trying to learn day by day what I can.
But it's not, I mean, it's not an easy thing, but like you
said, when God has a plan for you and it's your calling.
And I feel like this is my calling.
So I'm just doing my best. I guess it's the best answer
that I could give you. You know, what's so interesting
(15:42):
about hearing you say that? And, and I told you this, I, I
can't carry a tune. My audience has heard me through
the years try to sing. And of course that those are
always popular moments, but not because I'm so great at it.
But it's, it's the complete opposite.
But doing this show, I had to learn very early how to how to
(16:04):
edit audio and, you know, masterand finish things, punch up the
volume, turn it down, understandthe difference with mics and
things like that, which was a major learning curve for me
because it wasn't something thatI was used to.
So I want to take your singer hat off for a second and, and
(16:24):
speak to Heather, the producer. Talk to me just about the
process of editing, because we do have a lot of content
creators that listen to the show, whether they're singers,
whether they're podcasters, whether they're Youtubers.
Talk to me about editing and andreally any challenges and also
the successes that you found over the past year.
OK, OK, so you know, I don't, I don't think I've mentioned this
(16:48):
to you or anyone else. As a kid, I used to do a lot.
I used to do a lot of video editing and I used to do, I was
a big fan like I like I've told you of Justin Bieber.
So I used to do little video edits of him.
And that's where my love for thevideo creation comes in from
because I think it's so cool. It's a way of expressing
(17:09):
yourself in a video form. But you know, I'm not like even
now I'm not the best that it's very difficult.
It is very like it makes me wantto pull my hair out every day.
So I'm sure that people can relate to that and people
probably see others who are ahead of them and think, oh,
(17:31):
they got it easy or it's so easyto do.
It's not easy. It's not easy.
What it is is you show up every day and it's even putting 10 to
20 minutes in a day to learn something new.
It's not a waste. So that's what I would anyone
trying to learn, you know, the video, the audio put in a little
bit of time because even if it feels, it feels like it's
(17:51):
nothing, it adds up. I can't tell you how many times
I would, I would be at home and just telling my friends, my
family, I didn't do anything today.
I didn't do anything today. I was just trying to figure out
the program and I felt unproductive.
But now I look back and I see, wait, those little times where I
thought I wasn't doing anything, they actually added up.
(18:14):
And I feel like even though I'm not 100% with the video editing
and the audio editing and even now mixing and mastering for me
is is not something I like to touch on.
But I think that it's part of, you know, your progress and it's
something that you have to hurdle through.
You have to hurdle through because the more you understand
(18:38):
how to do all of that, what we call back of the house stuff,
the more you understand how to build it from the ground up.
Number one, you're going to savemore money and #2 your sound is
eventually going to sound the way that you want it to.
When it's in somebody else's hands, it's their interpretation
(18:58):
of what your sound should be, right?
So, so the fact that you have learned and you have all this
experience first hand in editingand what have you, it's, it's
really cool. And I didn't realize that you
had that much experience. You've been doing it since it's
a young child. So yeah, you're, you're an
expert, you know. I wouldn't say an expert, but
(19:20):
you know, just for fun and I just want to touch real quick.
I didn't mean to interrupt you, but what you said about having
other people doing it for you. I'm a person, that one.
I don't want to spend the money to have someone else, you know,
come. And it's like I'm painting my
canvas and I don't want to pay pay someone else to come and put
their paint on it. I'd rather learn how to use my
(19:41):
paint and be able to express myself better, if that makes
sense. It makes perfect sense and, and
I'm with you 100%. I'm the I'm the same exact way.
I've, I've had other people editfor me, professionals, radio
professionals who really knew what they were doing and I
learned from them. But outside of that, if you
(20:01):
don't have those credentials, you can't touch my stuff.
You know what? I'd because it's just not going
to sound. Right and.
It drives me. Do you hear things in your music
even after you feel like it's done?
And then you'll hear something like, oh, I got to go back and
do something with that. All the time, yeah, 100% even.
Like I have two songs that I finished and I'm listening back
(20:23):
to them and I, I last night I was kind of mixing and mastering
them. So I'm like, wait, why didn't I
hear this before? It takes for me a few days.
I'm one of those persons that when I have a song, I will
obsess and overhear and over listen to it to see and try to
catch any imperfections. As much as I hate to admit it,
(20:44):
I'm a perfectionist, so it has to be, at least to me in that
moment, something that I'm proudof to make.
I love that. I love that because that's
passion and, you know, passion results in driving yourself to
be the best version of yourself. And, and, and that also includes
your art, you know, so hey, hey,I don't ever dim that light when
(21:09):
it comes to that type of drive. Continue to be that way because
that's what's going to separate you from just, you know,
somebody who's just kind of messing around like you're
really taking this seriously. You're putting yourself out
there to be critiqued by the world.
Yeah, positive, negative in between, but you're doing it.
You know, talk to me about the song Sweet tooth because you
(21:32):
seem to picked up some, some steam with this song.
And and it really is, is starting to get to a point where
you you have folks saying, hey, when is this going to be
available on reels? And I, I want to, I want to do
videos with this song in the background and what have you
Talk to me about the sweet tooth?
Man, sweet tooth, you know what sweet tooth it comes from,
(21:55):
believe it or not, 'cause if if you know, you haven't heard the
song, it's pretty much straightforward.
It's like a fun song that I made.
I think it's a cute little beat,but it comes from a place of I
wasn't at the moment when I had made that beat and I had made
that song, I wasn't in a happy place and I wasn't, I had just
gotten, you know, some bad news and it was really getting me
(22:18):
down and I didn't know how I howto feel.
So Sweet Tooth came out of a place.
I remember I was driving home and I was like, you, you know
what, Like let let me just change my attitude.
Why can't we just have some fun?Let me just pretend to be in a
good mood. So Sweet Tooth is almost like a
(22:39):
little song that got me out of my depression and my little
funk. And it's just, it's just fun.
It's just, I know it's short. I know it's, you know, a little
bit on the simpler side, but forme it's much more than that.
It's that's all my music. It it's a form of expression and
what I'm feeling in the moment. And to know that people listen
(23:02):
to it and resonate with it and feel something that's all I
could ever want. I'm.
Telling everybody listening right now, the link will be in
the bio. So you can, you could literally
as you're listening, go into thebio of this episode and you can
click on Heather's link where you'll get all of her links to
her music and what have you and all the different streaming
(23:22):
platforms. But if you can pull up Spotify,
if you're listening there right now, Apple Music, whatever, go
to Heather's page and, and, and check out Sweet Tooth in
particular. It is an incredible song.
It's catchy, like she says, it'sshort, it's sweet and it's the
(23:43):
sort of thing that you would expect on a TikTok video.
Like people are going to be doing dances to this.
It's the sort of thing that you can make reels off of it.
It's it's so available to be utilized in so many different
ways. I I was telling my lady Heather
that I can, I can hear your songand I can visualize it being in
(24:05):
TV shows and movies like it. It has that quality to it.
I appreciate. That you know what, it's funny
you say that 'cause I was just thinking like, if you go back to
my Spotify, I have three other songs out that those 3 songs
that I have out previously, I don't think they compared to
Sweet Tooth. Sweet Tooth was one that I sat
(24:27):
down and I started to, hey, let me learn the synthesizer, let me
try to learn how to play the actual drums because I'm tired.
I'm tired of using these samples.
I want to produce my own music. I want to do my own stuff, you
know, and, and it's not to bash on anyone who uses samples or
uses the little AI and the, you know, the programs.
(24:47):
I use it, I use it all the time.I used to use it all the time.
It's just I feel Sweet Tooth wasthe next step up in my producing
career, if that makes sense. Makes perfect.
Sense and and I can hear it after listening to your catalog,
I can definitely hear that you you went in a different
direction with that track. And for me, it opened the door
(25:11):
for me to go listen to everything else.
So that's not a bad thing, you know what I mean?
That it it created enough interest that I said, OK, well,
let me hear something else. And and there is so much there.
You're a great songwriter. I want to call that out.
You, you were very good at expressing your emotions and and
detailing them in a way that people can digest and
(25:33):
understand. And that's very important.
You know what I mean? Were you writing poetry
previously? Maybe as a kid.
As a kid, I think I used to try to do a little poetry, but not
really. I, I started writing, I think
when I was 14. I had written a song and I said,
(25:55):
OK, this sucks. I'm not, I'm not going to do
this. And then I revisited again after
back in 2023 when I had gotten with my now husband, you know?
He. Kind of pushed me in the
direction of you can do this andI always knew that I could do
it. I just never had, you know, that
(26:18):
back support that someone shouldhave.
Well, I'm going to tell you right now that that husband of
yours that that may be one of your secret weapons, because my
interpretation of your catalog is that in a lot of your music,
you're speaking directly to him.I mean, is that, is that fair to
say? You know what?
(26:40):
Yeah, 100%. I say, and I tell everyone,
every single love song that I and even other songs, he's like
you'll make me mad. And I think I made good, There's
another song, Good for you, Goodfor me coming out and he made me
mad and I wrote that song for him as well.
So anything positive, negative, Most of my song, it was like
(27:00):
when I met him, that love and that passion that I had for him
opened up the door for me to be able to express myself again in
my music. I love that.
I love that now you are a Latina, correct?
Yes, Sir. Mexican.
I'm a proud Mexican. Wow.
How does that factor into your music, if at all?
(27:22):
Just just your Mexican upbringing would have you and
and even the way that you've chosen to tell your stories.
Does does your culture factor into that at all?
Of course 1. 100% my culture is part of who I am and even though
it doesn't come out in my music yet, you know, I'm just starting
(27:42):
my journey. So I'm, I'm planning on getting
there. I'm planning on, I've been
trying to push out a Spanish song.
I just don't, I want to be able to feel warmed up and feel
comfortable in what I'm doing now in order to continue to
pursue and to always try new things.
So definitely expect some Spanish songs.
But for sure my Mexican culture growing up, that's who I am.
(28:05):
Like if you hang out with me, I,I mean man, we're going to have
some carne asada tacos and listen to some old school
Spanish music. It's just, it's a big part of my
life. I love it.
I love it. I mean, that's my family and I,
we're, we're big on Spanish music.
It's always been around, especially, you know, via jazz.
We're, we're, we're a big jazz family.
(28:28):
My mom and I in particular, we've, we've gone to the Newport
Jazz Festival many, many times. I think it's the oldest Jazz
Festival. If it's not the oldest in the
world, it's one of the oldest inthe world, definitely the oldest
in America. So we've we've had a chance to
see Tito Puente and and spiral Gyro and and and so many
(28:49):
different Cilia Cruz, so many different old school jazz
artists who who crossover, you know, they do salsa, merengue,
tango and all that good stuff there.
So when when I hear do you do you like?
That type of music, Salsa, merengue, tango, I'm I'm.
I I actually, when I was in highschool, I was taught how to
(29:11):
dance to all of it. No, I don't.
Just like. It like I love it.
Nah. I love it too, man.
I can't I can't boogie down likethat, but I sure try.
I I love Yeah. Hey, you let the.
Music take over. It's all good.
You just let the music take over.
Whatever your body does, it's all good, you know?
But, but I think that's important when, when you allow
(29:33):
the full scope of who you are tohave a place in the music,
that's when you know that you'reputting out your full self in
the music. You know what I mean?
So, so I, I'm excited just for the journey.
Eventually, when you get to thatpoint, like when you do put out
a Spanish song and, and, and what have you, that's going to
(29:54):
be crazy. I can't wait for.
You to hear that and I can't wait to, you know, get to that
point. I just, my thing is, like I
said, I am a perfectionist and if I'm going to release
something, I don't want it to be, you know, lazy, half, half
lazied out, if that makes sense.I want to be able to put my own
(30:15):
and say, OK, this is something I'm proud of right now and I
know I'll get there. But you know, there's a bunch of
little genres that you and I have talked about that I want to
be able to make as well. But it's all part of the process
And and you know, I'm enjoying where I'm at right now and I'm
enjoying where I'm headed. Absolutely.
I. Mean the, the hardest thing that
(30:36):
any creative can, can experienceis lack of inspiration.
And ironically, you're on the complete opposite right now.
You're, you're being exposed to so many different types of music
and musicians that influence musicians who influence you,
that it's all just a big fruit salad of, of possibilities for
(30:57):
you. You know what I mean?
So this again, it's cool. It's cool to be at the beginning
of this journey and you know, what is this?
What are you going to sound likein five years?
What are you going to sound likein 10?
What are you going to sound likein in five days?
You know what I mean? Just because you're, you're
consuming so many different things and learning so many
different things and allowing yourself to be unrestricted in
(31:20):
your creativity. So it's it's, it's really,
really cool. You know, folks, all you
wrestlers out there in particular, pay attention to
Heather because you never know, you know, she could be somebody
who could put together your nexttheme music, which as you know,
theme music is a major part of pro wrestling.
When, when, when you have a goodsong that you walk out to and
(31:43):
the crowd is cheering you, what have you that can get you over.
That can mean the difference between being a mega * or not.
Regardless of what you do in thering.
I'm telling you right now, Heather's stuff is that good.
So definitely Speaking of which,Heather, let everybody know
what's the best way that they can continue to follow you.
More importantly, hear your music.
(32:05):
Plug away, plug away where they can go.
So I. Have man, I'm everywhere.
I'm everywhere, guys. So I'm on Instagram, Snapchat,
Twitter, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, and you know
what? I feel like I was meant to be an
artist because thank God that myusername is the same everywhere.
(32:27):
It's Heather del Cueto. I'm sure that Mister Duke will
have it in the caption. And yeah, I mean, I released
most of my little sneak peeks ofmy new songs on TikTok and
Instagram. So I would suggest there and
then, you know, we'll go from there.
You. I'll update you directly.
I love it. I love it.
(32:48):
Listen, Heather, again, I appreciate you.
I respect what you're doing. I'm a fan of your work and I
can't wait for you to come back on the show and give us an
update. I appreciate you having me and,
and to everyone listening, you know, I just want to point out
that I've been talking to Duke these past few days and we've
been sharing music and experiences and he is such a
(33:11):
good friend and a good person. I could just tell from the
beginning and I'm sure that you all could tell.
So I just want to, you know, give you your flowers and say
thank you for inviting me to be a part of your space and wanting
to hear what I have to say. Oh.
