Temperatures are soaring above 40 degrees across Southern Europe as authorities issue health and wildfire warnings due to the 'extreme' heatwave.
Irish holiday makers have been warned by the Department of Foreign Affairs to stay indoors during the hottest hours of the day while Europe remains in the grip of the severe weather.
