Speaking, Leave it Eli A tied Podcasts recording this once
again on Tuesday four, two thousand and twenty five. It
is the second podcast of the day recording here And
(01:20):
we have a lot to get to today. I thought
I wouldn't be able to do a solo show today,
but things didn't actually work a little bit, so we
got a lot to get tune on the show today.
First things first to talk about we have my opinion
on a lot of things. Uh, the cows are done.
They're so fucking done, bros. I ain't funny. I made
(01:40):
the decisions on my recent NBA you know, remember of
a couple back, I was talking about how like I
had a lot of decision to make about I don't
want to continue streaming leap Pass and Fantauw Sports and whatnot.
I'm trying to limit my I'm trying to say money
because I hate penty of money and I have to
make a decisions when that I'm gonna keep, you know,
adding more student services, even temporarily for a couple months,
based the decisions recently on that. I'll explain to you
(02:02):
guys in a second. Lebron James, it hurt for a month.
His plan may have back for her though, all right.
Michael Jordan's on load management. Also some music newsles too well.
Damus Stain on the Last Mega album. Dam Mistain announced
recently that he They on the album They he covered
the Metallica song Whatnot. And then, of course, remember the
(02:24):
passing today of one Dick Cheney for VIST President Dunstans
under George W. Bush. So a lot to get to.
I guess to drive to this podcast of course, on
any podcast catch on the audio side, especially Apple Podcasts, Spotify,
Google Pod, Amazon, you name it. Of course, on the
video side you also find us as well on number one,
(02:44):
the number one spot on YouTube at arnspeak pod, on
YouTube clips of the show, of course, on TikTok at
armspeat pod as well too on TikTok and I am
trying to find my thing here for the my My
My dock and I can't seem to find it. I
don't know why. Leit me a quick pause here in
a second. I got it up now, I got it
(03:04):
up now somewhat. But dude, so Tava Show episode today
is uh do it in January Bills Mafia, because I
pissed off a ship ton of Bills fans the other day,
uh after they went they went against Kansas City on
Sunday to put the record six and two. I actually
(03:25):
would like to read the tweet verbatim just kind of
see exactly what I was trying uh to say. But
I really made a lot of Bills fans upset on
my comments, basically saying quote not the burst Bills mafia's bubble.
But this wind doesn't really matter. Buffalo still has not
proven they could be Kanns City in January when it
actually matters. Until then, it means nothing. Big picture, carry on,
(03:47):
and my god, Bill's Mafi went nuts. I got texts
from friends of mine who have Bills fans offended, saying
that is complete bullshit. Find the lie, bro, find the lie.
Like you guys have beaten Kansas City. You guys are
being Kansas City for the last I think five years
in a row. Now, during the regular season. I picked
(04:08):
you guys to win on Sunday. First off, So let's
not act like this is something that came out nowhere,
Like are we surprised the Bills won? I mean, I
think nearly every person I spoke to have Buffa win
this game. Okay, we know you guys are a great team,
A good team you gotta be. We know you guys
are super Bowl contenders. You're s Bob being a team
(04:31):
at this point and super Bowl of bust. Okay, we
know that right now. So if I get upset about
where what where did I say? What that I say?
That was insulting? Where's a lie? Have you guys reached
super Bowl in these years with Josh Allen' quarterback? Have
you guys reached super Bowl at all? Okay? Have you
(04:52):
lost a canna say at even at home? Yeah, you
lost a Kandas City the last year, okay, on the road,
you lost a Kansas City before that at home? Leus
can't say aything two years before that lost and Sinsy
two years before that. Do you guys have met regular
seasoned expectations but haven't measured up to the playoffs expectations?
If that matter? Where is a lie? I'm not lying
(05:16):
about this? Okay. Even if you ask any Bills player
that's playing this team for the last couple of years,
you asked Josh Allen that with a straight face, he
would tell you the same thing. Doesn't matter a big
picture because guess what when you have even even though yes,
it helps, yes, it doesn't help you guys put your
position for home free advantage and all that stuff. Absolutely
it does. No one, No one's questioning that, Okay. But
(05:38):
even when you had that two years ago, how Mack
turned out? Kenna City still beat you guys in Buffalo
and Roots to a stuper Bowl title. So again, I'm
not saying because I want to happen. I'm rooting for
you guys. Why are you get mad at me for Okay,
all I said was dude in January. That's all I said,
dude in January. Okay, you if you, if you guys
(05:59):
want to be respected, want to be treated like a
super Bowl contender. This is the stuff that comes with it.
This is the pressure that comes with it. Okay, you
can't have both ways. You can't say you're being disrespected
and then we look at you as a contender. But
we see obviously the trends here that you have been
Kansas City during regular season through the years, but when
it comes to playoffs, you guys have a melting down.
(06:22):
Find the fucking lie. I'm not lying, you know what
I'm saying. I'm not lying about this. You guys are
just in your feelings. So taking a defense, take us
respect that we expect you guys to do better. We
expect you guys to come through in the end. So
at the end of the day, don't be Offendomie this.
Take this as a as a rallying cry. Hey, listen,
(06:44):
we need to come to when it comes through the moss.
When it's time to come through the moss. Time to
do it now. Okay, Josh, I mean this window. I
still stand by the idea that as long as Josh
Allen's at top quar back in league, your window is
wherever Josh Allen is Okay, in his career. Okay, So
the window is not It's still open enough because you
(07:06):
have that quarterback. But the AFC, especially this year, because
right now, if the playoffs starting to day, the can'
see Chiefs are in the playoffs. Okay, if the plays
start day. Let me repeat, they can't see the Chiefs
on the playoffs, which means even more pressure, okay, which
means you have no excuses. Okay. Yes, I'm said on
the podcast that Indy has a better roster on you guys.
(07:27):
That does not mean you guys couldn't be Indy. Okay.
You have a quarterback that can do that, that can
do so Okay, the pass, yes, the beat your Elian year,
the Pats also in first place by half game. Does
that Does that mean that I'm convinced the pass better
than you guys?
Speaker 2 (07:39):
No?
Speaker 4 (07:40):
Okay, I think that the AFC is wide open. But
you gotta get it done and not not to mention too,
I still think the ravens ere in his damn thing. Okay,
so don't take offense to that. This damn thing done,
dude in januen Ray bro duding, Jen Goes Mafia, don't
take offense of this stuff. I'm ruining for you guys.
So you have to get a job done, Bob Mine. Now,
(08:01):
a team on site that's done definitely, in my opinion
at last night is Coyas Cowboys. Now, you guys know,
I have a really good friend of mine. Shout from
boy Mario. We have a bet going right now. Okay.
He's a Cowboys fan, okay, and we bet before the
year started that I said that the Cowboys will win
nine or more games this year. Okay. Now I made
his bet before the Michael parts straight. Okay, he took
the bet and he's a Cowboys fan, saying that I'm
(08:22):
full of shit that basically the Cowboys will not win
more nine games this year. Okay, So I'd bet one
hundred dollars in the game. My bet is pretty much dead, okay.
I mean, look, it's sill a chance to get. They
can turn around and win some games, but after last night,
you you lose at home. My money football to the
way Aaron's on the Carlos team, it's not that good.
Okay without Callum Murray, Jacob Brissett, Torch, you guys, your
offense out of nowhere to decide to not show up. Bro.
(08:44):
First off, I am grateful I didn't bet this game,
because had I bet this game last night, I would
bet Cowboys will win. Cowboys of cover, Kat Prescotte, I'm
passing arch over and then a couple of things in
the over. None of these things hit. None of them
those things hit at all. Okay. The Cowboys flopped like
a wet fish. Okay, they flopped, okay. And then so
now the three five and one right now, okay? With
(09:04):
I think nine games going a year, okay, nine games
going New Year or eight games going New Year? Okay,
you gotta get nine okay. See the goal is to
get to nine wins. Okay, you have three right now?
Can you find six wins on the schedule? Okay, here's
where here's the remaining schedule at Raiders next week or
in two weeks rather, okay, they should win that game.
That's four wins Philly at home, which I think is
(09:27):
uh is that is that a Thanksgiving game. No, no, no,
let's before Thanksgiving. So a Philly at home again, weird
visual optics. They could win that game, but I'm not
gonna give it to you. Okay. Then you got Casey
at home as well and Thanksgiving. Okay, Casey's struggling right now.
But I where can you see myself put picking the
(09:48):
Cowboys in this game? Okay? Still kind of find more
one winner now, Okay. Then he got the lines on
the road. That's a loss. It's a loss. I think
someone night football too. On top of that, the Minnesota
at home home and so up and down. I'll give
you to win there for now. That's two wins. I
need six wins, bro, I need six wins. Okay, Charges
on the road at home rather think can be the game.
(10:09):
Charge's gonna if I can be healthy back to tell
make it that game? Okay. So no, so I'm I'm
I'm dead water, bro. And then you got washed on
the road. Should be a win because no, there's no
Dame Daniels have'n announce anything but what's elbow? But I
met you for the year. And then the Giants, uh,
the Giants uh on the on the road, which probably
should win that game. Okay. So that's one two. Like all,
you find you one to three maybe four games there
(10:32):
that you know should win. Okay. That puts you, what
at seven wins? Seven wins, okay, So that means you
have to flip. You gotta flip on the Eagles game,
you gotta flip the Chiefs game, and you gotta flip
the Lions games. Have a chance. I'm dead in the water.
I am dead in the water. I mean, my my
BET's done. I I told him, like I'm done. I
think once you lost to once, you lost to Denver
(10:52):
last week, and that came up with the rails from that.
From that point on, that's why I knew, Oh yeah,
I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm cooked. I'm cooked. So it
is when it is there, and that's uh, it sucks.
It sucks. But you know these cowboys are just butters
let down. So what I tell you, Lebron James. So
you know, you know the Lakers they're five and two
right now, Uh, playing very good basketball without Lebron James.
(11:15):
In fact, even Luka miss couple of games, they still
want some games. A lot of speculation that Lebron James
might be held out this year solely because of the
fact that he wanted to leverage himself to get maybe
a new contract, maybe to get more help, something that nature,
because this is the last year with the Lakers, last
the year of his deal with the Lakers. But I
think that amout a backfire now because the Lakers are
(11:36):
playing better without him, you know, And I don't. I look,
I don't think Lakers that will come tender with him
or without him anyway. But at this point, and I've
been saying before you are started, if I'm a Lakers,
when not, you decide to trade him and not trade him?
Ride this album over a year with Lebron. This would
be his fur all year with the team, and then
(11:56):
he move on and they use that that cap room
that he's in the free up and caprol he'll hope
free up next year, uh next season, rather and investing
in another player Lebron James is. He'll be forty one
years old by the time this season's over. Okay, they
they look they'll winning without him, They aren't much better
with him. Does does they make him a contender with him?
Speaker 2 (12:17):
No?
Speaker 4 (12:17):
I still think this, this's clearly clearly five or sixteens
better than the Lakers are now off the rip. Okay,
I'm taking right now this is here health notwithstanding the
thunder over the Lakers, the Rockets, the Nuggets, uh, the
Spurs now have supplied you guys. Now, Okay, I will
still take the Clippers in spite of some of their
(12:37):
issues and with with with injuries and Kawhive he's in
and out of the lineup. Okay, I'm not so certain
I would still take Golden State out of you guys still,
you know, even with him with or without him. So
at this point, there's no point Lebron. Jay's been a
roster Okay, is this Lucas team now? And for this
team to move forward and Lucas to feel like this
is his team and they got they can build around him,
(12:58):
Lebron has not be there now unless Lebron takes a
massive step back, which I doubt he'll do. You know,
I just don't think you're gonna really, you know, get
really anything out of that. So honestly, you know, if
I'm like this, this this thing, look, I think this
is this last year of the team. Okay, this is
last yea of the team. So I think, right now
(13:19):
at this point, you know this right out at this point,
and I think everything that Lebron tried to look the
pass I had to bullshit. He's done for years with
Miami and Cleveland and even the Lakers. On some degree
it worked because at the time he was the best
friend in basketball and he was worth the headache. Now
he's not so much. Look not saying it's not great
in his age, but at this point, now, if Lebron
(13:40):
isn't bringing you close to our championship, then he's he's
a waste of time. Okay, all he's doing is geting
put you back to the seat to this point, and
the Lakers don't really need that because honestly, Laker's Lakers,
Hello games even without Lebron James because then the Lakers,
so it doesn't matter, you know. So that's what it is.
So I think this plan is backfired. It really has so.
Speaking of goats and people in the go conversation, Michael Jordan,
Michael Jordan, you know they've been doing this whole thing,
(14:02):
uh on Peacock. It was called words Excellent some some
some ship they do every week and they take they
took like a one hour interview and they spliced out
two or three minutes of things that Jordan saysn't here
and make it like a segment on their on their Tuesday.
It pikes the Tuesday games you know they do now
on on on NBC on Peacock Rather, Michael Jordan is strongly,
(14:24):
strongly against UH load management. I have a clip. Actually,
maybe play a clip real quick and see if this
would UH this s works? Serve a second, hold on,
I have a clip here for what Jordan said is
a small old clip he uh did say in relation
to load management, there is right there, give me one second.
Here we go.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Think of when you hear the term load management thrown
around UH, it's well it shouldn't be needed first and
foremos You know, I never wanted to miss a game
because it was an opportunity to prove if the guys
are coming to watch me play, I don't want to
miss that opportunity.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
Not physically, if I can't do it, then I can't
do it. But physically, if I can do it and
I just don't feel like doing it, that's a whole
different lens. You know, there's a time I used to
be a little more intensive to the players about little
management and thinking, you know what, maybe the science you
trust the sciences and that, But I'm off that wagon now, bro,
I am off the little bag of wagon. I think
(15:22):
these play three excuses. In fact, the players who do
low management like Kawhi and all these other guys end
up getting hurt anyway. So why are we doing it now?
Speaker 2 (15:32):
For?
Speaker 4 (15:34):
And first a record. One of the things I've really
gotten back into also is him emphasizing the fans. You know,
the fans pay good money, often having worked hard for
the tickets, and players have oblgation to put on the
show for them. My favorite quote for him is like
one of one of his favorite quotes women is like
saying that I want to impress that guy way up
in the top who probably walk walk works the ass
off to get a ticket or to get money to
buy the ticket. Jordan Olsa view is playing as a
(15:55):
professional duty and an opportunity to put himself every night.
He says, quote, you have a duty that if they're
wanting to see you, and as an entertainer, I want
to show. He also questioned the time commitment, saying, you
play basketball, but two and a half three hours a day,
that's your job. That's what you get to pay to do?
What are you doing to the other twenty one hours
while hold on While he does distinguish rest between wrestling
(16:20):
amount of injury and sitting out while basically cable. While
while cable. His own career is papacy, marked by his
intense commitment up to playing, including the flu game. Again,
Michael Jordan has a right here, like, I don't think
you know load management. You know, one of the things
I always uh busted on load management is the fact
that I get it. I totally get it. You want
(16:42):
you want your players to be to be rested and
this and that, and I get all that. I do
think though some to agree that players share too much
of the blame for that. I do think ownership and
teams as a whole also playing to this stuff. The
Santeleos Burs and Gretpop Binch have have been I made
a history of this stuff, history of things when they
(17:03):
they arrested, guys rested, you know, star players going to play,
going to you know what. I remember there's one game
where the Heat and Spurs game back in twenty and
thirteen or twelve by what Cameria was, and that game
Red Pop Binch decided to pull all his stars, Tony Parker,
Tim Bunk, Tim Duncan, Janobile, I think even Kawhi Leonard
at the time was pulled in that game, and they
(17:24):
got a lot of criticism in the time. Now, I
get it when you when you pay for a ticket,
you're paying to seat the Spurs in the heat, Okay,
not Tim Duncan versus Lebron James. However, it's a bad look.
And the thing I've always pushed back on with these
players that they're lack of self aware. It is, okay,
you got I think they're so in a bubble now
(17:46):
they forget that tickets ain't cheap anymore, bro, tickets ain't cheap.
And meanwhile, this kind of stuff is hurting the ratings too.
On top of that, there's many things in addition to
turn the ratings, but one of the things that really
ratings is the fact that people want to feel like
they care. Peopleant effect, these players care about playing and
put and putting the work down, put the work in,
and you get the feeling that some of these players
(18:09):
Jane Butler's being one, I'll call some names, kualleerb Another
one is not that they're not not hurt, but they
are they are healthy, have to play despite being hurt.
That's a problem. So while I've I have been very
pro player when it comes to little management and whatnot
and trust in some of the science, at the same time,
(18:31):
I think some of these players have won overboard now
and they've lost they they've lost their way and they've
they've just forgotten what this is really all about. Because
without the fans and us, you're not getting those big contracts.
I always say all the time to you guys, when
it comes to anything in life and anything involving you know,
entertainment of that nature. You want to impact, impact, change stuff,
(18:54):
the monion pockets. You don't like the fact that w
w's raising prices on things and tickets fors WrestleMania's and
that you know the fact that streaming services are raising
prices and doing this and that and making it harder
for you to watch these events, supping money pockets. Sam
plays the NBA and it for some reason, it's somewhat
working because the ratings have gone down, although I would
(19:15):
argue that they don't the NBA DISN'SSI relying on on
the simple ratings that I used to be. I think
the NBA has acknowledge the fact that the game is
different now in the sense where people in general just
want their clips in their highlights and bite sized supposts
watching two hour game. I get that, but at the
same time, these numbers don't really help their case. Now,
(19:37):
speaking of streaming and numbers and costs, I made a decision.
So I told you guys in the podcast a few
weeks back that you know, I put my foot down
on getting the ESPN app. I put my foot down
on adding NBA FanDuel, NBA Lead Pass and and the
also the fan New Sports app to watch my me games.
Now I decided to I did decide to add one thing.
(19:59):
I did add the uh fan dou sports to watch
heat games because that that is what I'm actually passed about.
If there's any team in sports, I'm I'm most most
passed about in the world, and you see back here
on my own thing here by me. So I do
watch all their games. So I don't mind paying twenty
dollars a month because I know I got to watch
their games and a lot of games a month. So
you're essentially paying for what two three dollars a game.
(20:21):
That's nothing you know, I mean, when you really break
it down. I did, however, decide to wait on adding
NBLE pass because what I'm trying to see here now
is that with the NBA schedule now you have a
National Telbass game at least four times a week at least.
So what I've noticed now fifty effect that I have
the Heat game for one Okay, you have Tuesdays now
(20:43):
Peak augusting them for T and T so Peacock that's
now showing double headers Coach to coast double headers on Tuesdays, okay.
Wednesdays you have an ESPN game, okay, and I think
Thursdays nothing right now on Thursdays, but I had the
football to watch, okay. Then Friday you have the Amazon
games okay, Saturday of college football an NFL. So right now,
(21:04):
you know, as much as I want to have lead pass,
when I put a time being, I'm holding back for
the time being. I want to see if I can
balance this out. So again we'll play with like fifteen
dollars twenty dollars a month, But again I hate spending money.
So what I'm trying to do here is if I'm
going to add lea pass going for just sixteen dollars
a month. I wouldn't mind having lead pass, but instead
(21:26):
of adding to it, I like to see what what
can I replace with it? So right now currently I
have NBA not sorry, NFL Plus okay, which is uh
the you know red Zone and all the all all
the NFL stuff and late to their to the platform. Now,
normally I have a NHL Plus for four months and
then once the season's over. Once once you get to January,
I'll cancel it because you know, Sheeat's over and everything
(21:47):
else will be on national television on the playof against Antebuchon.
So no reason I've even keep an HOPE Plus is
because of the fact that I want to have to
watch on the men all the on demand entertainment on there. Okay,
I can technically justify adding leaps after I canceled NFL
Plus still play a little bit money my about three
dollars more a month because I think it help plus
thirteen dollars a month, but it's still justified in the
(22:08):
sense where I'm replacing one of the other it's supposed
to adding to my to my budget. But right now
there's enough NBA games and that's publishing on most nights
I can hold and honestly, not that I don't watch
Emmy leaf past, but a lot of nights though you
know where I'm balancing the NFL, colleg football and other
(22:31):
things I'm watching. It gives the opportunity to leaves, go
away for a little bit, go away for a little bit,
turn my phone, and I'll wait till the games go over,
and I'll watch the recaps. I'll watch the condensed virgin
of these games. Uh, you know, after I'm done. So
I'm testing off for the next month or so before
I decide to do this. Now, if I again, if
I decided to cancel NFL Plus, then maybe I'll go
(22:53):
the other way. But right now, I feel like I
don't have a strong need right now to do this
because right because here's the thing else too, half inside
as well, the w W network on Peacock. Their contract
aspires with Peacock in December. Now there's a lot of
rumors about what where they're gonna go after the end
of the year. This possibility I'm going to ESPN's possibly
(23:16):
I'm going into Netflix. So the so I told you guys,
I don't have the ESPN app and so far I've
missed the last couple pls on w W because the
fact that I put my foot down on adding the app. Okay, now,
the only thing I will say, and I've told my
wife this also, the only way I will end up
pick up the ESPN app is if the ESPN app
(23:39):
ends up acquiring the library from the w WE, because
that's something I do watch very often. And if that happens,
then I will add ESPN to my to my mister
stream services of course. Okay, but wherever it goes, I
I I doubt that's not the only the only stream
service I really really truly truly care about in that
way where like, no matter what, I have to have it.
(24:00):
I feel like HM Max the other one like that
one because because of their content. But if the if,
the if, the do you Need network ends up going
to another platform next year where it goes, I'm gonna
follow that one. Now that being said, when Peacock loses it,
well do you know do I drop Peacock and say
back six thousand month, Well, here's my dilemma there. Peacock
now has the n b A. So now the n
(24:22):
b A, there's a reason now to keep the the
the Peacock now because I have the NBA now and
they show and I think they'll be adding more games
to the to the to the list of uh the
schedule once NFL's over, so right now Tuesdays, but once
Dandfills is over, I think they'll be added. They'll be
adding back Thursdays. I think also as well too, So
that's why I'll keep in the NBA and an NFL
(24:42):
s and there two also and there's content on on
on Peacock. I do want to watch. I got a
four these things. I just don't want to pay for
a man. I don't want to pay all this damn
stream services. It's too much, man, way too much. So
for the time being, I'm going to hold right now.
I add fan New Sports from that time being, and
I'm like I said, there's enough immily game, enough sublished
to hold on to you right now. Don't need to
(25:03):
leave past. I can wait till these games over and
then Washington Highlights after for free on YouTube, and that
will be okay for now. All right, some music news
uh here, uh, let me see and make sure I'm
don on the right dock here, because I know that's
a couple of things I've added in the last minute.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
Music News Dave Mustaine says James Heffield has yet to
approve Megandeth's cover of Ride the Lightning. In a new
interview with Rolling Stone, Misdaine revealed that Megadeth or cover
Megadeth is covering Metallica's Ride Lighting, a song that he
is credited actually as co writing on their upcoming final album.
Explaining the man's decision to cover the track to record
I covered track, Christaine says the intentions were pure and
(25:40):
that he wanted to do something to close to close
the circle on my career. While Right Lightning will definitely
make an appearance on their new album, Misstain and minst
that neither James Heffield nor Metallical drummer Arcel Work were
made aware of Metallica's plans to cover the song. Quote.
It was not for lack of having the thought on
the courage or anything like that.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
I know.
Speaker 4 (25:56):
The last time James I talked, we were talking about
some business stuff and I told him since he said so,
I was hoping that we could get approval on this
before release the track. But when it turned out the
way that it did, I think we were just I
think there were so many people who were never were
happy that we did this, that we just went for it.
And I'll be more than happy to talk to him
when I get the opportunity, but I don't have his
number anymore, jeez, still mistaining, what was the idea of
(26:19):
getting back to touch his for Mandmates quote. I also
know that it takes time to heal wounds, and I
don't know if we still have that kind of relations anymore,
he stated. I know I would like to hang out
and listen to new music and goof off and do
shit like that, but maybe we're too old. I don't know.
Misstaining went on to clarified that while he's open to it,
his cover Ride and Lightning was not done with the
goal of renewing frindship with Headfield. Quote. I think the
(26:39):
whole purpose of this was not to try and re
kindle relationtives or anything. Uh. It was about some respect
to a man that I don't believe he thinks I
respect him, and I wanted to make that clear. I
wanted to hatred you to the band, he added. And
to make this now I am getting ready to hang
out my guitar up. I want to make sure that
nothing is left unsaid. Yeah, the mistain Metallica thing. Bro,
(27:03):
it's it's Mstayne got cut down of the band in
that T three. It's been forty two fucking years, bro,
and he's still hanging up on the stick on this ship.
And I get it. There's a lot of there's a
lot of professional jealousy because Metallica became who they were,
you know, one of the biggest bands on the planet,
short the biggest bill band on the planet, still relevant
(27:23):
today forty five years later. Misstayed with Bega Deth, who's
done a lot of great things, but shortly done a
lot of Metallica. I'm sure there's a lot of There's
a lot of animosity and some resentment there, and some
jealousy there. I get that, But when do you get up?
When do you get when do you get done with that?
At what point do you say, Okay, I'm over it,
you know, I mean what look the way they the
(27:45):
way they the way Metallica kicked Hi out of the
band was fucked up. Okay, it was fucked up.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
You know.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
If I don't know the story, they were in New
York to record a Killer Ball album. They drove they
took the bus up of New York only to have
to fire him the their next day whatever and filming
the bus back to California. And it was the reason
why they fired him is because there was a lot
of like tension between him and James, because you know, granted,
(28:11):
these guys are fucking eighteen years old, they're eighteen undred
years old. They're not they were not mature adults. Okay,
alcoholics too, especially a lot of drug issues too. So
while the process of firing Mustain back there was screwed up,
the reasoning behind it was legit. Somebody even fematalit here
is this understanding? And also Gimmer two, also I remember
(28:33):
they're doing this at nineteen twenty years old, so you
can't use the same logic as a sixties five year old.
Sixty four year old these guys are now but I
get it, But at what point do you say, Okay,
I got this should go, Bro, that it should go.
(28:53):
You're bro, you're sixty four, sixty five years old. I
know how you are being coach makes sixties. Now, Okay,
you've done a lot of great things in this band.
What else do you need? I mean, I know, I
know they've done some things recently. I know when they
had thirty first Reid Metalog, eleven Stain came by to
do a couple of songs with them. I know Mistane
has appeared on the sub kind of Musk documentary and
(29:15):
him and Lars and the Little Thing, and it's been
it's one of the most you know, it's invite to
Michael Jackson Prince relationship, you know, in pop music, but
metallog I'm staying Headfield wouldn't call it. It's always fascinating,
but at some point, David's gotta get the fuck over
a bro like. Look. I am a massive Davis Stain fan.
(29:38):
I think he's the greatest guitar player in the history
that genre. I've been saying it over and over again
on this show. Okay, but there's a lot of resentment there.
He's gotta get over it, bro, He's just got over it. Sorry,
things have happened, and then you know, the way the
way gonna move on is to just stay stop stop
talking about it, you know. But and I know they've
had a lot of like different like meetups and they've
(30:02):
talked and stuff, but clear nothing, clearly nothing has changed.
So all right, before we get out of here. One
last thing. Some sad news in politics. Uh, today we've
heard about the passing of foreign Vice President Dick Cheney
age I think it's eighty four years old. Eighty four,
eighty three years old, died today. Damis Look, look, Dick
(30:23):
Cheney is to me in my opinion. I know, I
don't want to say this as a as an insult
because of you know, obviously today's today what it means.
But Dick change to me is to me the worst
vice president in history of this country. I've been one
of the biggest Dick Cheney critics. In fact, I will
talk about this morning. You can argue that the reason
(30:47):
I left the Republican Party in two thousand and eight
largely is blamed by Dick Cheney because of how that
war in Iraq was operated, the fact that he's he was,
you know, hell bent on you know, those WMD's in
the area, and then we go the Iraq there's no
WMDs there. So he lied about the situation obviously too
bench his pockets. The you know, the the military industrial complex,
(31:10):
which I speak about a lot in this podcast. You know,
that's the political in this episode necessarily, But he was
the the the example, the fucking literally the definition of that.
Having said that, he's still human being. You don't want
to you don't want to wish bad on anybody else,
you know what I mean. But you know, at the
same time, it's like, you know, it is what it is.
(31:31):
He's eighty three, eighty four years old, I mean in
that in that age, ragget, I've been one of the
biggest change cridits for years. In fact that you hear
me in this podcast. You know, I criticized Kamala Harris,
I know the last campaign for president last year because
he had Dick Chenese's daughter, you know, on the stump
for her, which bothered me because of her father and
that and that's that's it's unfair. But I will still
(31:54):
feel a way and feel so he's one. He's definitely
one of the most prolizing UH politicis in my life time,
certainly in my in my lifetime, in my opinion, the
worst vice president. But you're still human being and will
still honor um Me's still still ut country. So rest
in peace to uh Dick Cheney and thoughts person's family
and friends whatnot. So that would do for me on
